Wait i just remembered something from my tfwiki dive i did trying to find out character ages
Bumblebee was created towards the end of the war, and he's supposed to be 20ish right? Define end of war, because before this point i was working under the assumption of the war being equivalent of 20ish years in Cybertronian timescales.
Though, I've agreeded in my head as of today that Cybertronian lifespans don't work like human lifespans. Basically, they seem to skip all of the younger stages, and automatically online in the teen range. And while mathematically all of the adult stages are much longer, mecha seem to stay at the thirty-ish and middle aged stages than the fresh adult.

I'm gonna try again tfp team prime with a bot Buddy who has a concerning interest in poison. 😅 And now i'm beginning to annoy myself
Hello there! Don't worry about asking again, I'm just not well versed in some things that's all. Still glad you asked though! Since you did not specify which characters you wanted I will be selecting them at random.
Hope you enjoy!
Ratchet, Wheeljack, and Ultra Magnus reaction to Bot Buddy who is fascinated with poison
SFW, Platonic, talks of poison, Cybertronian/ Bot reader
TFP
Ratchet
Ratchet has known Buddy for a while. As in before the war started, before their interest in poison.
Buddy used to be a good doctor that helped him from time to time in his makeshift clinic. They were always experimenting with new forms of medicine to treat patients. It could have been medicine for a mesh wound to try to find a cure for the rust plague.
It was during the war that they had found an interest in poison.
Ratchet wouldn't see Buddy again until they crash landed on Earth. To say it was a pleasant surprise was an understatement.
"Ratchet? Ratchet is that you my friend?"--Buddy
"Buddy?! By the Allspark it's great to see you online."--Ratchet
"Likewise my friend. Now tell me, what do you need?"--Buddy
"Any help at this point would be nice, truly. "--Ratchet
"Well it's a good thing I brought my kits! Don't worry this war will be over in no time now!"--Buddy
"You still have the kits?! I thought they were destroyed in your lab back on Kimia."--Ratchet
"Kits? Ratchet what are they talking about?"--Bulkhead
"An explanation would be nice."--Arcee
"Buddy has a gift for medicine... And other things..."--Ratchet
"Oh Ratchet you make it sound like a bad thing. To answer your question, my dear Wrecker, I specialize in poisons and venoms of all sorts! Pretty exciting don't you think?"--Buddy
"... I'm just going to be over there..."--Bulkhead
While Ratchet isn't exactly thrilled with the idea of Buddy handling any type of poison, he has to admit that they do get the job done.
Buddy is often seen in their little corner of the base or near the consoles discussing things with Ratchet.
Wheeljack
Wheeljack knew Buddy from the Wrecker's. Like him, Buddy was a former scientist before the war started.
The two of them went together faster than a house on fire. One was never too far from the other, and if they were something was going to explode.
There was a huge explosion the day that the two had gotten separated.
Years later Buddy found a strange signal coming from a planet called Earth. They decided to go and check it out. Who knows if they would find more poisonous things for their kits?
They didn't find any poison yet, but they did find Ultra Magnus, Bulkhead, and Wheeljack.
"Wheeljack! Bulkhead! Ultra Magnus sir!"--Buddy
"Buddy?--Bulkhead
"Buddy?!"--Magnus
"Buddy!"--Wheeljack
"Wait how do we know if it's the real Buddy? We don't want another Makeshift problem."--Bulkhead
"Makeshift?"--Buddy
"True soldier. From what you told me we need to be on high alert in case this is a Decepticon."--Magnus
"Decepticon?"--Buddy
"It's Buddy I can tell."--Wheeljack
"How?"--Bulkhead
"There is only one bot crazy enough to carry that many kits labeled POISON like it's a collection of rocks."--Wheeljack
"Hey!"--Buddy
After the formal introductions are made, and Buddy gets to know Team Prime, they are once again attached to Wheeljack.
Wheeljack doesn't mind Buddy's fascination with poison. In fact he encourages it. The more Cons they can the better.
Ultra Magnus
Ultra Magnus knew Buddy as a new recruit for the Wrecker's medic.
How in the world they became friends?
Magnus doesn't have the right answer for that. It just happened.
He is well aware of Buddy's poisonous hobbies but he can't say they aren't benefiting from it. There have been multiple times where the Wrecker's would have been killed if not for Buddy's experiments.
Buddy had gotten separated from the Wrecker's during a rather gruesome battle. Magnus pushes his grief deep down so he could focus on leading his group.
Buddy gets reunited with Magnus when they literally crash into the IronWill.
"Identify yourself!"--Magnus
"Magnus? Ultra Magnus! I can tell how good it is to hear your voice my friend!"--Buddy
"Buddy?"--Magnus
"Sure is Commander! Might I say it again, it's good to hear your voice."--Buddy
Magnus gives Buddy the introduction to the team. He makes sure that Buddy doesn't feel isolated or left out. He knows how that feels.
It takes more time for the team to get used to the fact that Magnus has a best friend than Buddy playing around with poison.

Breaking Bot (read more for some rambling about mega man fully charged)
Mega Man Fully Charged has been on my mind again lately, which made me realize that there's literally a robot named Chemistryman who worked as a chemistry teacher. Not using him as a Walter White stand-in would be a criminal offense.
I'll have to admit I started getting back into Fully Charged again after seeing some asshole on twitter complain about the character design for the hundredth time. I just can't stand that kind of negativity. I swear to god, Fully Charged is like the Sonic Boom of the Mega Man franchise. Personally, I really enjoy the FC designs. I've probably said this before, but I feel like the redesigns give some of the more forgettable robot masters way more character. Like, do I care for Classic Drillman from Mega Man 4? I mean, yeah, I do, but I wouldn't care as much if it wasn't for his Fully Charged incarnation.
I also really enjoy most of the original robot masters. I already talked plenty about Blastowoman and why I love her so much, but I want to talk about the others this time.
Take for example Chemistryman. Comparisons to Walter White out of the way, I feel like his character was a really fun idea. God knows I had teachers who put me to sleep back in the day. For me, it wasn't chemistry though, it was my economics teacher. I always compared her to a story teller at a Christmas market who would read children stories out of her big fairy tale book. Only that in reality, it was stuff like the minimization/maximization principle. Most of my notes for that class were incomprehensible chicken scratch, because I just couldn't keep my eyes open. In the end, I slept through like half her classes, lol. But I gotta say that I still always got a B or higher in the end. Somehow. I thank god every day that I never have to step foot in a school again.
I really wish Chemistryman got a little more time to shine though. Two episodes is just way too little. I would gladly take three more episodes with him over those gross Gutsman episodes. I know I love talking about wasted potential with this show, but I wish there was an episode that focused on Chemistryman outside of the school setting. I get that his whole character is "boring, bitter teacher", but I'd really like to see what he gets up to when he's not trying to force children to listen to his chemistry lectures. Like having Aki try to talk him into going into retirement for good. And then he tries to find hobbies for him so that he doesn't bore himself to death. I can see him getting into building model ships or something like that, lol.
Now that I'm already writing up a storm again, I might as well talk about some other headcanons I have about the FC bots. Since Woodman was in sleep mode for 30 years after the war ended (I don't know where I got that number from. I rewatched his debut episode, but the exact number doesn't appear anywhere. Oh well, let's just pretend this is canon, even if it isn't.) we got kind of a Shadow the Hedgehog type situation on our hands. All of his friends and family got to live their lives in this new, peaceful world of harmony between robots and humans, while Woodman spent 30 years powered down in a bush or something. Completely forgotten about. Like, why didn't they go look for him after the war ended? I don't think Aki and Suna wandered that far into the forest for their school assignment. If you really think about Woodmans back story for a moment, you realize how fucked up it actually is.
Now my explanation for this goes into heavy heavy headcanon territory. When Suna calls the principal about Woodman, he warns her that Woodman is dangerous and to get away from him immediately. Now why would he say that? The principal also calls him "ruthless" in that same explanation. What I think happened back then was that Woodman actually planned to assassinate the human armies leader. (Possibly Sgt. Night?) The leader of the robots caught wind of his plan and put him into sleep mode himself, since he and Dr. Light were on the brink of finding a way to end the war peacefully. In my mind, this leader is the FC version of Swordman. Don't ask me why, he was just the first guy I thought of. And then it just stuck.
I know this makes Woodmans back story even more fucked up, but I just love putting my favorite blorbos through hardship. Don't even ask me about my headcanons for Drillman. They'd actually put me in prison.
Now all this culminates after Woodman is reactivated by Suna and Aki. Finding himself alienated from all his former friends and comrades (Maybe the other Mega Man 2 robot masters?), what was he supposed to do? He couldn't spend the rest of his life isolated (and homeless) in the forest, could he? And this is where season 2 could have delivered. But I'm done whining about that. If Capcom doesn't deliver, I gotta write my own season 2. Simple as that.
Anyway, getting back to Chemistryman, since he's pretty old, I imagine that he was already working as a teacher when Woodman was still around. Maybe he even was his teacher at some point.
And since I love having my favorite characters interact, I also thought of a scenario where Drillman wanders into the forest out of frustration over his miserable life, only to meet Woodman by coincidence. In the end, Woodman helps him work through his daddy issues and his body dysmorphia, while Drillman helps Woodman reintegrate and manage this (for him) completely new world of peace. Another great headcanon of mine is that Chemistryman is actually Acidmans father. Just because I think it would be funny. And as Fully Charged has confirmed: robots in that universe do indeed have parents. (Flashback to the time I drew Dr. Light beating the shit out of Drillman's father)
Speaking of Drillman.... For being one of my favorite Mega Man characters of all time, I haven't drawn him nearly enough. That will probably be my next project.
This might also be a great time to tell you that I've never watched Breaking Bad before, lol. Everything I know about it comes from RTGame's Stardew Valley playthrough and the RTVS Half Life parody.
Sorry for all the yapping. But if I don't talk about robots at least once a day, I might die. This is a serious condition.

Windwolf x Adopted Reader: Special Guest
Tumblr media
Idk... ignoring all the other things I wrote on them, Nightwolf and Fujin would be great fathers. They can adopt me idc
Context: Nightwolf is already your guardian. He introduces you to Fujin. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Headcanon Note
Fujin is pansexual. Nightwolf is demi-sexual.
This one is canon: Fujin likes sponge cake. Important fact, I promise.
Also canon but a lot of people imagine otherwise, Nightwolf is taller than Fujin. (6'4 to 5'10) ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Normally, anyone would find the sun peeking through their light curtains pretty warming when they are in bed. Especially at this time of brunch.
But not you. You laid incorrectly in bed away from the sunlight with a blanket thrown over your head, mind possessed by the tablet device that was gifted to you by your caretaker.
When you first received it, you were rather surprised to hear it did belong to him as he may or may not have been a hacker when he was younger. He definitely didn't seem like the type.
What sucks is he refuses to teach you anything in that genre, so now whenever you play some game and a bot you call a teammate throws, they get away with it.
You didn't care too much anymore since your gaming drive died down a little. You were mostly on your tablet for a while to scroll through the media and read cheesy things that you know you'd be damned if Nightwolf discovers it.
"Y/n?" You hear him knock at your door gently.
"Yeah?" Your attention was provoked from the screen, and you stopped kicking your feet in the air to see what your savior wants.
Opening the door, he peeks in to observe you for a bit. You can see the man has gone somewhere earlier this morning, hence by his usual red war paint around his eyes. Guess you just didn't hear him go out since technology keeps wasting your senses, with a bit of sleep deprivation, but you weren't doing much to fix that.
"Good morning." Nightwolf says, seeing you shielding yourself from the day with your covers. "Sleep well?"
Glancing up at him, you just shrug.
"You didn't sleep yet, did you?" He sighs.
"Nope."
"Right. Anyways, there's someone I want you to meet." Nightwolf tells you.
Your face already sulked. New people? Disgusting. "Can you tell them I just said hi?"
Nightwolf sighs and opens the door more, leaning against the frame. "No, Y/n. I know you aren't one to be around people, let alone meet, but it's someone special to me."
His explanation somewhat connected with you, but you didn't fold quite yet.
"Please? Just this once. I don't ask you for much, but it would mean a lot if you did."
Gods, it's true. You'd feel like more of a shitty person if you reject his request like you do most of the time.
Sighing, you turned off your tablet and set it aside. Removing the blanket from your messy hair, you sat up. "Fine. Just give me a moment."
The strong warrior smiles at your acceptance and thanks you before closing the door and giving you the time you need to fix yourself up.
When you stepped out your safe space, you refer to as your room, Nightwolf waited for you, offering his hand. Without thinking much, you took it despite feeling too old to hold hands with someone as a parent. But, not admittedly, you just feel safe with Nightwolf.
"Be aware, they are much more outgoing than you, and I did tell them you're rather shy. I still hope you could get along, though. I think you'd like them." Nightwolf shares.
You only were thinking on who it is. Maybe someone from his tribe? A girl, maybe? You didn't care for a mother figure as long as she didn't coddle too much.
Your father figure brings you to the living room, and let's go of your hand. You stand a bit awkward as you examine who the guest is.
It was a man. What catches you off guard is his glowing eyes. It's not the most abnormal thing you've seen. You'd ask Nightwolf to summon his animals so you could play with them. But you weren't really expecting someone that barely has visible pupils.
He also has a tattoo in his shoulder that glows up as well, which was pretty cool to see. But his eyes... you really should stop being into creepypasta.
"Fujin. This is Y/n. I... saved her from the Black Dragon." (mm lore) Nightwolf presents you, placing comforting hands on your shoulders. "And, Y/n, this is Lord Fujin. He's a close friend of mine."
A lord, huh? That explains the eyes.
Fujin walks to you two, with a very friendly smile. "Why, hello, Y/n! Nightwolf has spoken of you a lot! I'm very pleased to finally meet you." He extends a hand.
There wasn't much you had to say, but you hesitantly took his hand, shaking it. "Thanks... Nice to meet you, too... Lord Fujin- oh!"
You get pulled into a sudden embrace, but you didn't respond negatively to it. You glanced back at Grey Cloud, and he was rather unexpected of it, too. However, you knew the god didn't mean harm. He's just happy to meet someone close to his dear Nightwolf.
"You can just call me Fujin, little one. We are both close ones of Nightwolf, are we not?" He pulls away and pats your back, looking down at you with such a comforting aura.
"Right." You look away, getting flustered.
Nightwolf finally steps in and leads Fujin to the kitchen. "Care for any tea?" You could hear him ask as they both go to another room. You take the chance to scramble back to your room and process what just happened.
---Hour Time Skip brought to you by... idk Geras wearing weave or smth---
An hour gone by, and you could hear chatting at the front door. You open your door to take a peek. It appears Fujin was about to leave.
Contrary to what you thought earlier about meeting new people, the white-haired man was quite interesting to you.
Turning around and spotting you, Nightwolf gestures silently for you to come and say bye to the special guest. You listen and approach them, still looking at Fujin.
"It was nice meeting you again, Y/n," Fujin bows to you. "Maybe next time I come by, we can spend time together! I can bring you a gift too- do you like clouds? Or sponge cake?"
Wow, he's very energetic for you. You look at Nightwolf for some type of guidance.
"It's up to you." The shaman says. "You can trust him."
"I'm okay with whatever you give me... or if you want to hang out a little, I guess." You shrug.
"Great!" Fujin then looks at Grey. "I'll see you soon when I break from my duties again."
Thoughts began brewing your mind as you noticed the change of tone in Fujin's voice, and the very sincere look he gives  Nightwolf. Especially the hand placement on the shoulder, your caretaker's hand placing over that one.
Fujin left, and you stood with Nightwolf trying to process things. "'Close friend', huh?" You say with sarcasm, raising your eyebrow at the tall man.
Nightwolf sighs, yet nods. "Indeed. 'Close friend.'" ~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hey, for the other!tfp trio….let's assume that the team remained on really close contact despite the distance after the war (RID 2015 who knows you? Certainly not me). I wanna see a really touching reunion between the bots and their protegees, but here's the twist:
They return to their kids, only to find out that these three are no longer kids, but young adults (maybe late teens for Raf, because our future little Dragon always will be the youngest of the trio) and are no longer humans (cause they have fully embraced their other heritage)
This time-lapse could be explained by either A) the bots spending a bit longer on Cybertron and losing the human sense of time or B) The kids deciding to make a joint trip to elsewhere/the other side after the end of the war, where time doesn't move the same as in the human plane (they went as kids, but elsewhere spit them as grow ups even though this change doesn't make sense to the bots.... because they are seeing things from a human sense of time); now, when exactly these three got lost and then reborn, that's privy to them alone.... I prefer the B) option if you ask me....
Regardless, I think that these three would remain tightly nit, as tight as possible (they could be on the other extreme of the planet or any other plane, and yet they would return to each other...eventually). Cause after all the went through, separation is not an option for them
Reactions and talks/explanations are meant to happen in response to this..... and what roles June, the Esquivels and the Nakadais families had to play in all this
Ohhh, this is interesting. I hinted or understated in some pieces that time can get weird in Elsewhere as a call to the folktales and myths of humans stepping into an otherworldly space to spend a few hours there, and then stepping back to their world to find out decades had passed.
Perhaps it's their heritage, singing in their bone marrow and igniting from the Matrix's influence, June's own presence (haunting and hungry, no matter how muted or how well she hides her own teeth), or a strange combination. Perhaps it's the experiences they shared, forged in fire and blood as Earth's own chaotic nature. But these three are bonded. Intertwined with each other, even across the world.
Distance means both little and much to them now. They ventured onto foreign, alien planets and spaceships, traveled to lands across the world in the blink of an eye, and went on the run from a manhunt.
Miko keeps the Apex Armor and takes it back to Japan. At the right moments and when the urge gets too much to bear, she steps into the sea and goes farther than any of her relatives could go, even the ones that can hold their breath for 20 minutes.
She hasn't been the most filial of daughters, but she is her parent's child. Her sea-blooded mother stole back a human that survived and thrived from Elsewhere and claimed that man as a spouse. Bloodlust and wet works are no distant strangers to her. She's inexperienced but a willing learner. She already cut her teeth on foreign flesh.
Down in the dark depths where there's no difference between going up to the sun and going towards the abyss, but where her steps tread, she meets someone with pearly, iridescent scales across a long, serpentine body and a face so much like her own (and her mother's and her grandfather's and her-) with large, dark eyes with an amber ring.
After meeting the yokai that birthed her lineage centuries ago, Miko finds her way back to the Americas. A blessing and a warning kept in her heart.
(One day, Miko will understand what her sea-blooded mother meant when she told her that her father was a 'good Man.'
Raf's deep fascination (admiration, obsession) with space exploration and technology is taken in stride among the Esquivels. He doesn't raise any suspicion among them because that's how they all are.
He absorbs whatever he can, consuming the hard-earned lessons under Ratchet's care and oft-handed commentary. The Esquivels hunger and Raf is no different as he swallows how Cybertronian theory and application and attempts to further bridge between human and alien equipment.
Raf had found his teeth and his siblings recognized it as their baby brother doesn't disappear on them nor shrink away from their more vicious arguments.
(They are a family whose flesh descended from fire tempered by earth. Raging passion and violent temptations. Wicked protection and immense wrath. Voracious, cruel, and beastly, yet so very kind and vigilant.)
Mama kissed her youngest boy (because Raf will always be her baby boy) on his head and told him to be careful, praying for his safety as he went with Jack.
That protection will save them on a summer trip when Jack retraces his steps to all the places he once called home.
Ever since his mission to Cybertron, Jack dreams of strange, wistful things. An unquenchable thirst, an itch in his bones... he feels bereft for some reason.
He misses Arcee. He misses all of them. But for some reason, Jack
In the summer after graduation, he takes his new-used car and travels across the mainland United States. The windows are down as the radio blares, wind ruffles his hair as Raf laughs and tries to figure out maps since some locations are so off-beat that the GPS can't confirm the coordinates.
Deep in the bones of a decrepit old house he once called a home in his long-distant childhood because June and Jack moved repeatedly, hopping from place to place without rhyme or reason... there are the echoes of a wailing scream buried within it.
A living corpse for a copse of trees that guard the area.
(A mother will tell her son what exactly brews in their powerful blood and what she has done to ensure he grew up safe to make a choice.)
Elsewhere exists in so many ways, shapes, and forms. At one point, the legends and myths had once walked upon Earth and left their marks. Something happened in the unwritten, unspoken past that corralled those legends away.
The trio will venture through the many portals and gateways and have many more adventures as they realize there are far more Cybertronian relics on Earth...
Mermaid queens and Seelie emperors, dignitaries of unearthly shapes painted in enamel and precious jewels, sharp animals with sharper intelligence that speak in prose, the faint imprints in slumbering environments, and empty, the lingering remains of humanity's role among such great and terrible things.
(Humanity was (is) great and terrible themselves.)
(Miko's father is a 'good Man,' and that means something different to such beings.)
"Long ago, Man made peace with Magic." "Long ago, it was decreed that Man would stay."
Time isn't linear in Elsewhere which incorporates so much that a single or several maps would be useless. Time flows in so many directions that it's a constant battle to recognize and travel to and from their own particular section of a river.
Perhaps it's his heritage or a minor blessing from the Matrix, but Jack is more sensitive to flow and can locate the best spots for them to get back to their Earth. To the same week, month, or year they ventured away.
Miko explores her own bloodthirst and prey drive. The singing, thrumming chant in her blood and how the Apex Armor responds to it.
Raf hones his own instinct on his particular guidance to find portals and lucky happenstances. Between him and Jack's instincts for 'shiny' things, little can escape them.
In some worlds, they grow older. Aging and bulking, exploring how to reshape themselves and all sorts of careers. In others, they seem immortal compared to the rapid change around them in a species whose lifespan is a single human year.
"We could be gods here," says a man with a firestorm trapped in his bones and has become a dragon. Not a Dragon because he searches the stars for a mech he once called brother. "Are we not gods already?" The not-man made of shadows and feathers replies. He still dreams of a far-distant metal planet and realizes that it whispered to him back then. "Does it matter," laughs a woman encased in armor that's more like a second skin, tendrils sweeping upon the floor like the gentle motion of a calm tide upon the beach. Pink for her lost girlhood and passion, a warning and a sign from her many great-grandmother. Green as the metal she once called her kin.
When humans are pulled Elsewhere. Three things usually happen: they break there, they struggle or thrive, or they break at home.
"How many times have we done this?" A boy that's not really a boy, who shall become a dragon in so many lifetimes, asks his companions. (Raf keeps his sister's warning close to his heart as she once died in a foreign, strange desert and was resurrected in her own pyre to devour the city that enslaved her and so many countless others. Pilar has become a Dragon and that legacy between mortal and divine shall be her epitaph in a battlefield far sooner than later.)
Ratchet returns. Some things change, while some remain the same.
Jack tastes the grief and repressed anger upon the medic and leaves him be. Raf remembers Ratchet parked in the garbage and keeps the old medic busy between lessons and searches. Miko digs into the festering tangle of emotions, lapping into those wounds as she uses the Apex Armor on the training mats to absorb those fighting skills and grills for information about Cybertron and the rest of Team Prime.
She cares, she really does, but the boys' avoidance of Ratchet's issues won't help anyone, especially if (or when) the medic leaves the planet with no way to contact again.
Ratchet went Elsewhere twice. The first time was a rough pill to swallow as Team Prime never realized its existence. He wondered where the trio had scavenged a considerable amount of Energon crystals and the resources to guard the new base with all the newly acquired. He stiffly apologized to them because he had thrown hurtful words over their travels, calling them "superstitious" and "better than that" and "this is why you never applied yourselves" was the least of the insults. The second time, he realized just how much and fast humans age as he counted each tick on his chronometer as they ventured across new continents and strange seas. Those years and crippling injuries and strange bodies melt away from the trio as they return back to their native Earth and their baseline human form.
June visits them. Ratchet never thought to ask how she found them in Nevada when Agent Fowler would have never told a civilian about them. No one questioned how she managed to bypass all the security with her car.
He tallies all the strange, eerie signs as she leaves hints to solve their challenges, how she seems to appear when food is low and they're too busy to bring anything more substantial than a simple run to the nearest fast food joint or a quick foraging session, how all the security in the world, both Cybertron's and Earth's, cannot track her.
"I am what I need or want to be." The one called June Darby demurely answers.
The only family member of Raf's that Ratchet will officially meet is Pilar whose bones are filled to the brim with rituals, survival tips with monsters, gods, and hostile environments, and formal protocols in so many kingdoms, both dead and alive. She grieves as well. She had given up the Dragon to return home but her memories are bursting full of laughter and people and color when the crumbling ruins the new Team explores are long empty of an extinct people or a fallen kingdom.
"Sometimes I think I carved out parts of my heart and left it there. All I have left are the memories as I'm the only one that remembers the campfire songs and the lessons of all those who helped me."
Ratchet will never meet the Nakadai family face-to-face, but he gets a hint of what they are with all the messages and packages they send their only child. Izumi sends pointers on how to prepare certain sea creatures and how to differentiate the signs of an underwater portal in treacherous waters. Her husband will leave cryptid messages and strange, gold pieces. Sometimes he sends coordinates for Miko to dig up a weapons cache or an informant to cultivate.
Of course, things change when the not-quite-human trio spirit back a Primal Artifact of Quintus Prime...

'Effectively, Ukraine has eliminated Russian ground forces'
...claimed an 'Eastern Europe expert' in this thread in March 2022, one month into the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
I was reminded of him when looking through some chatlogs today. At the time, I thought he was making absurd predictions, but figured he might try to water them down to claim something like accuracy if Ukraine won in the next month or two, stretching the definitions of words.
Now it's been a year and a half, and I want to revisit Sergej Sumlenny's bluster, not just for him being thoroughly personally wrong, but as a general reminder that anyone can call themselves an expert, and still be completely wrong.
Tumblr media
In the first month of the war, this guy was saying shit like:
Russia and its army are about to collapse. RU obviously has no reserves left
Russia has been "about to collapse" every month for the last twenty months, somehow.
According to Ukrainian intelligence (and they get much info from the US I guess) Russia has already used 95% of all its ground forces gathered for the invasion, and it makes almost 100% of Russia's active ground forces. Effectively, Ukraine has eliminated Russian ground forces
If Ukraine would resist several more days, I am sure Russia will face the biggest defeat in its history. Nothing comparable. It will also trigger independency movements in Russia-occupied countries of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Ichkeriya, Sakha, Komi and others
I am not seeing these things that were supposed to happen after "several more days".
When Moscow army will be eliminated (and it nearly is)
I am also sure - very soon we will face a shiny glorious future without the Prison of Nations. Thank to brave Ukrainians.
"very soon" has come and gone, Sergej, why are you still here?
Tumblr media
The simple explanation, IMO, is that this guy is a pure propagandist, nothing else.
Perhaps he was never attempting to say anything true at all, he was completely disconnected from the evidence, Ukraine paid him to say pro-Ukraine things so he said the things his paymaster wanted. If Russia had paid him, he would have said the opposite.
But the thing about the Sumlennys of the world is that someone has put quite a lot of money into making them look expert. A Twitter account is free and can be set up in five minutes. A website for the European Resilience Center, maybe fifteen minutes and ten bucks to host. The content over at European Resilience, with regular updates, takes a bit more work. But Sumlenny being interviewed by external sources like France24 is not so easily manufactured.
For more on Ukraine's planned counter-offensive and all of the latest in Russia's brutal year-long invasion, FRANCE 24 is joined by Sergej Sumlenny, Journalist, Political Analyst, and Managing Director of the European Resilience Initiative Center.
Sumlenny got similar treatment in a wide variety of news outlets from ABC to Al Jazeera. Journalism delenda est. Both for Sumlenny personally, and for the many other journalists who interviewed him, respected him, failed to fact-check him, treated him as an expert, and gave him the prestige of an expert. There's two different meanings of "expert":
"expert" as in "has a credential and is used as a source on the subject being discussed"
"expert" as in "consistently produces good results and correct predictions"
and Sumlenny was very much the first sort. Which also has two meanings when I say it: that he was not the second sort, and that people did cite him and invite him and treat his opinion as being worth more than some random Tumblr blog.
(One might like to have a word that only means the second sort of expert. Good luck keeping it!)
The information ecosystem is polluted by Sumlennys. It's easy and common to go "Russian bot", but one should also have a mental space for "Ukranian bot", and then expand that term far enough to include Sumlenny, or have some other term for the less-obviously-bot-like people performing expertise as they spout nonsense. There is no side that is free of lies and nonsense, there is no credential that is clean, there is no institution that is clean. The clown world experts are everywhere. Sumlenny was not acting alone, nor is he unique, Sumlenny merely happened to get my attention, and the "factcheck" system that journalists love to talk about didn't catch him. It's not going to catch slightly more subtle lies. Epistemology is hard.

Ok idea, the district kids and their potentional Guardians.
District 1 kids(Marvel and Glimmer): Ultra Magnus or Kup, either by Ultra Magnus strict nature or Kups story will humble them.
District 2 kids(Cato and Clove): Jazz or Mirage heck maybe even Starscream, both came from upper class before Cybertron fell to war so they can help break the kids out of their mindset.
District 3 kids(Calling them Chip and Wire): Soundwave, Shockwave, or Wheeljack. Techies have to stuck together
District 4 kids: Either Rodimus since he bonded with one of them, or Seaspray or Nautica
District 5 kids(Calling them, Jules and Watts): Jolt, a lesser known autobot with Electric powers
District 6 kids: Cyclonus, he's an alien jet he'd be so cool to them.
District 7 kids:
District 8 Kids: Swindle or Knockout, with Swindle trying to get them to but "authentic" 21st century clothing and Knockout just telling them hot Goss or making fun of Capital people's clothes.
District 9 kids: Honestly hard pick
District 10 kids: The Predacons, they'd especially love Razorclaw or Headstrong
District 11(Rue and Thresh): The Dinobots, mainly because I love the idea of Rue riding Grimlocks T-Rex mode
Katniss and Peeta: Megatron or Optimus
I really love this idea! I think you made a lot if great pairings for the tributes and ideas of their personality and names👍
If I have to be honest though I sort of limited most of the potential tribute partners to members of the Lost Light Crew and the tributes I do know.
While your list is good I'm happy to show you what I had in mind.
District 1 and 2 are basically pariahs among the bots and their fellow tributes, especially Cato. Yes, the crew understands that these tributes are basically a bunch of brainwashed kids who have been manipulated to be killing machines by the start of the game but it still erks a lot of them that when Rodimus gave them a way out they still chose to attack the humans. A 12 year old even!
Not that the Career tributes mind since. their equally as hostil at first. They're scared and anxious, because in their minds they blew it. My headcanon for how the Career Tributes are that the mindset and mentality is that you "Come back a winner or you don't come back at all". They were expected to die in that arena or come out a victor. Nothing else. But there all still alive and the games are ruined. Yes, through no fault of their own but they doubt that it'll make a good explanation to their families or trainers. Even if they do make it home the only thing ready for them is disgrace.
But there are some bots that try to be friendly or at least cordial with them. Like you meantioned Ultra Magnus is a firm and strict character that will get them in line, his attitude may be reminiscent to their teachers. He keep an optic on them but also make sure their equally attended to. He may not approve of their mindset but refuses to discriminate against them.
Megatron would be a surprising presence around them, given that he did threaten to vaporize the group back at the arena. But it stems mostly from his own complicated feelings. Because to him, these Career Tributes were so much like his followers during the early stages of the war. How many young bright-eyed Cybertronians came to him looking to change the oppressed system and better their station in life only for him to turn them into ruthless war machines? How many did he indoctrinate into his cause and convince anyone who wasn't apart of it to be there enemies. To Megatron, he was the Districts, manipulating his own people to be machines of war instead of agents for change. There are actions he didn't regret when it came to the war, but robbing the futures of the next generation was something that will always weigh on him. So , he will check on the Career tributes to make sure there handling everything well for the most part. He's the one to notice how agitated and hostil they were and thought to bring Rung
Rung is the next and by far the most significant figure to the Career Tributes, he's the one to really sit down with them and try to help them sort their emotions and thoughts about their circumstances. He doesn't have any bias towards them or their Districts, and he does his best to let them vent and just listen to their thoughts.
District 3 and 5 would definitely be great friends with Brainstorm and Preceptor, given that both those districts have a background in technology and engineering. The tributes would love observing some of their projects and inventions. Learning how they work.
Though Preceptor and Brainstorm are careful of what they show them and what information is given. Since the last time advance technology and knowledge was left to the humans it caused a whole mess of problems.
Obviously, the District 4 tributes would get along with Rodimus with how friendly he was to the male tribute, who I named Luca Alberts.
With Rodimus being a fishing enthusiasts they swap more stories and advice on the topic. Not to meantion to Luca, Rodimus is the coolest person ever! Rex and orange and captain of his own ship he's definitely someone the 12 year old looks up too!
But Nautica, too, could be someone they like, especially with her interest in marine biology. She had always heard Earth had an interesting ecosystem within her sea. But she be disappointed to know that the tributes haven't been past the coast because the Capital doesn't allow them away too far from the mainland unless it's for specialty catches. A far cry from when humans sailed along the sea for decades. Not to meantion because of the past war and pollution a lot of species are now extinct.
The Rodimus make a promise to Luca that when things get better he let the human take him to all his favorite fishing spots. Nautica says that she wants to explore the ocean with their help.
Members of District 6 aren't the biggest fans of travel, but when it comes to the bots vehicle modes and watching them transform they are immediately interested.
To be honest I don't know what pairs to make up for 7-10, I think overall most of the Lost Light Crew are friendly to the remains tributes and try to make them as comfortable as they can. While there are some who might not be comfortable with organics, there are some who are generally interested in humans and their culture. Swerve has a huge collection of human movies and thinks it's a tragedy that none of the tributes have seen them! He schedules a daily movie night and ask Rewind to project the films for him which he doesn't too. The tributes were never really exposed to media and entertainment like movies and TV shows, things like animation are like magic to them. Most things like that were reserved for the Capital people and for most of them, they didn't have the luxury of media given their poverish backgrounds and how most had to join their Districts industry to support their families. Being with Rodimus and their crew brought a break to there mostly labor focused life. Though they still worry about their families and friends and what their rescue from the arena means for them. Rung is brought in to help them process their concerns and overall trauma concerning the Reaping and their experience before the games.
As for District 8, I've thought of them a lot! Rue would be the apple of most of the crews optics! Especially that of Tailgate and Cyclonus.
Tailgate has never seen humans outside of Swerves films and can't get over how tiny and cute they are. He doesn't make the greatest impression after the humans are allowed out of the tank and he tries to hold one, marveling how much smaller they are to him. Most of the tributes ran from him but Rue stayed and badly said how cute she thought he was!
"I'm not cute! I'm fierce! " Tailgate objected, but from then on he always hung around Rue. He showed her different parts of the ship and carried her with on his hoverboard, the halls often filled with Tailgate and Rues excited cheers.
And when you have Tailgate you get Cyclonus. While the purple mech adores Rue too, he makes sure to remind Tailgate to please be careful with her as humans are fragile creature. Though Rue often test those boundaries.
Once Cyclonus was having a conversation with Tailgate only for the minibot to burst out laughing, confused Cyclonus realized that Rue had climbed all the way to his shoulder blade without him noticing. He immediately startled and snatched Rue in his shoulders scolding her and Tailgate how dangerous that was, that Rue could have fallen or got caught in one of the jabs in his armor and crushed.
Cyclonus and Tailgate are both taken aback at how Rue gushes over what a cute couple they are!
Despite her mischievous nature, Cyclonus genuinely does like Rue and is protective of her. This even extends to her fellow tribute Thresh, these two share a stoic nature and protective streak that comes with the understanding that their strength is what keeps those close to them safe.
Thresh also finds a surprising friend in Whirl. The cyclops bot thinking that Thresh was impressive with his strength for a human is and that silent attitude of his made him extra cool. Basically, Whirl saw it as a challenge to break through Thresh shell. It started with just gruff replies to the helicopters' questions, to warning against certain actions Whirl thought would be "fun," to finally being the reluctant voice of reason to Whirls shenigans. Given Thresh's background, he probably worked hard every day from an early age to help support his sister and grandmother. His district not giving him the option to have fun or just experience his youth. Whirl is chaos incarnent, and while that can be exhausting it brings out a side of Thresh he didn't know to how much he enjoyed participating in Whirls games.
Now we get to District 12! With Katniss and Peeta!
Because of Peeta's injury he and Katniss spent some time in the medbay with Ratchet. The medical comes off as gruff and stern but Katniss can't help but respect him. He reminded her of her own mother in his quiet concentration when it came to healing others. Ratchet does his best to assist Katniss in addressing Peeta's wound and in intent at making sure the teen is well treated.
Peeta often likes to joke or try to make friendly conversation with Ratchet though he's often met with a dry rely and orders to rest instead of chattering on. Not that Peeta is detered and keeps a bright smile while under Ratchets care.
Drift is another bit that Oeeta surprisingly gets close with, given the former visits Ratchets medbay to check up on the bot and interact with the two humans who have joined him there. He likes talking with Peeta and wishes him a speedy recovery, knowing Peeta got his injury while defending a younger tribute Drift sees Peeta as honorable.
Though things get awkward when Drift mentions how sweet it was that Katniss was treating Peeta and says that they have a beautiful story. Believing that the pair were getting closer romantically because of seeing Peeta's confession on the interviews. This gets a frown from Katniss and a sheepish look from Peeta.
After his recovery, Peeta is allowed out of the medbay he makes another friend in Ten. While Ten can't voice much Peeta sees a fellow creative spirit in him when shown the mechs collection of hand made figures and the flowers he's drawn on himself.
Peeta impresses Ten by drawing items on his armor skillfully, with the enthusiasm he never had when decorating his shops cakes and cookies. Tens more than happy to share his paints with the tiny human.
Going back to Katniss, there's another bot she gets close to and that's Megatron.
At the beginning Katniss believed Megatron was the same as his past self that attempted to take over Earth. Brutal and bloodthirsty but over time her expectations of him were dismissed.
Yes, he came off as cold and standoffish, but more than anything, he was respectful to all the tributes and was observant of their needs, even the Careers who again he had threatened to vaporize.
Seeing this Katniss finally asked him why he even tried with them, his response "Because there as much victims to this system as you and the rest are"
Slowly but surely, Katniss begins to hang out in the side lines with the former tyrant. She was never one for socializing and eventually just ended up spending time with Megatron more often then not. Just silently staying in each others presence.
To her surprise one day Megatron ask her about her district, that he understands that they came from a mining background and he admits that he came from a similar industry.
This takes Katniss by surprise, she could never imagine the "Emperor of Destruction" working in dusty mine shaft. They share their lifestyle experiences, comparing the disparaging life and workload of the miners, eventually the topic drifts to Katnisses father who died in a collapse.
"It probably didn't take them long to move you all to a new hole to dig." he chuckled dryly, but at Katniss silence, he backtracks. "Apologies.... I understand your grief, I too have lost many a friend to accidents in the mines"
Megatron admits to Katniss that even before the arrival to the arena, he and the crew had observed them through their network. He saw her volunteer for her sister so she wouldn't have been taken. And despite Rodimus's intervention, she very well could have saved her from death. He tells her she's an admirable human and sister.
Katniss might tear up and ask if she'll ever see her family or Earth again.
"I promise to do everything in my power to help you and the rest of the humans return safely home one day"
There's another bit on board that also seems to gravitate to Katniss, with how close she's getting to Megatron its no wonder that Ravage takes an interest in her.
Ravage at first makes Katniss and the other tributes nervous, being seen as a large wild animal at first. Startling them as he actually speaks.
But as he starts to wander near Katniss more Peeta starts to joke that Ravage is possibly mistaking her for "catnip" instead of Katniss, the girl is not amused.

New Bot on the Block
The arrival of a new Autobot on Earth was always an exciting event. The arrival of a new Autobot from another dimension went well past the realms of excitement. As soon as they were told, it was enough to make the kids’ eyes bulge out of their heads and their mouths hang open in disbelief. And for the whole ride to base, it was all they could talk about to their Autobot guardians.
Only Bumblebee and Arcee came to pick them up, Bulkhead being sentenced to doing more exercises to help his recovery. That meant Miko had no choice but to ride with Raf and Bumblebee.
Miko asked questions a mile a minute, a wide grin on her face as she could hardly sit still in the passenger seat. Jack, albeit more tame, couldn’t resist asking Arcee what she knew and Raf was the same. How much patience could a person really have when knowing they were getting a visitor from a different universe?
The answer was next to none.
With the base in view, the two bots only increased their speed per request. Once inside, the kids were let loose.
It did not take them long to find Blurr, who was watching Optimus decode things from afar. He was not at all prepared for the children that had been unleashed upon him, mainly Miko. Thankfully, he could adapt.
“What’s your dimension like? Can you get any taller, or are all bots back at your home the same height as you? What do you transform into? How many fights have you been in? Oh, how many ‘Cons have you scrapped?”
He was slightly intimidated by her enthusiasm, but he could answer all her questions just fine. Explaining his whole universe wouldn’t take long for him to do, but he doubted a child could keep up in one go. His height was normal, thank you very much. Enough on that topic. His alt-mode was essentially just a race car, yet he could tell she was hoping for something more destructive. Fights, there’d been a few, though he wouldn’t get into them since that would require going into the explanation he said he would not tell. Still, he wasn’t sure that she had processed any of what he said due to his speed.
“I assume by ‘scrapping ‘Cons’ you are referring to the amount I’ve put offline?” He thought back to his first encounter with the Autobots. They had killed the Decepticons that had been after him like it was second nature.
“Duh!”
He crossed his arms. “Well then, I don’t find it necessary to disclose that information.”
“Lame,” she huffed.
The truth was that Blurr had never killed. Every fight he’d ever gotten involved with as part of the Elites Guard had ended up with the other person in stasis cuffs. He had his saw, technically a weapon, but he had never used it lethally. He… didn’t know if he could bring himself to do it, if it ever came down to that choice. It was another stark contrast between him and his new companions. They were all battle-hardened and wouldn’t hesitate to strike the killing blow. They fought through a war. They were still fighting through a war. How would they treat him if they knew he’d only been forged after his own?
Probably like one of these human children, and that was ridiculous. He was part of the Elite Guard, Cybertron’s best military! He was no protoform.
“So… what’s your race car mode look like?” Jack asked. He figured it was what Raf wanted to know, given his fondness of racing.
Blurr found it was better to show instead of tell in this case. He flashed a smile before transforming, revving up his engine. He was positive he heard Ratchet grumble something about there “never being a moment’s peace” but he didn’t pay much mind to it.
“Whoa.” Raf could only stare in amazement. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen any kind of car like this!”
“Universal differences, perhaps!”
“How fast can you go?”
Speed was always something he had taken pride in. “Fast enough to never have been beaten in a single race, wheels or no wheels. There were multiple times back in my universe where my Bumblebee tried to beat me and as much as he tried to, he couldn’t keep up even when I wasn’t going at my full speed-”
Smokescreen cut in at that point. “Why not another race? You, Bee, and me. It’d be fun!”
It did sound like a little fun, he had to admit. Though, the last time he’d been in a race had been completely against his will… taking time to actually think about it did not produce positive feelings. Ratchet beat him to an answer, something he was secretly grateful for.
“Absolutely not!” he snapped. “Need I remind you that we are robots in disguise? We can’t afford to attract unwanted attention because of you three parading around!”
“I’m pretty sure the rookie tossed that rule out the window the second he chose a race car as his vehicle mode,” Bulkhead said icily, looking pointedly at Smokescreen. Blurr was sensing some tension and he was not going to ask about it. Not right now, at least.
Smokescreen immediately threw the blame onto Bumblebee. “Hey, he chose a sports car first.”
“Hey, don’t drag me into this!” Bumblebee threw his hands up, optics wide.
“C’mon,” Miko piped up. “Just one race, it’d be fun! It doesn’t even have to be in Jasper, it could be somewhere really far away where no one else is around.”
Blurr’s alloy crawled at the idea and he hated himself for it. Racing wasn’t scary, he was being silly.
“I am inclined to agree with Ratchet,” Optimus spoke and Blurr jumped, not even realizing the Prime had taken a break from his decoding. “I fear it is possible that without the cloaking of our base, Blurr’s signal could be vulnerable to Decepticons since we first found him under attack from Decepticon soldiers. Until that problem is fixed, he should remain here.”
It made sense. Tagging along with them anywhere could put them in danger and he couldn’t even imagine what he would do if anything were to happen to them. It wouldn’t just be the guilt, it would also be that they were his best bet on getting home.
For the time being, any notion of Blurr racing was crossed out. That was good since it would give him time to work out his newfound aversion to racing.
But in the meantime, he was more or less tasked with entertaining the kids. Arcee was on patrol, Ratchet was keeping to himself, Optimus was busying himself with his work, and Bulkhead, Smokescreen, and Bumblebee had somehow slipped past him. That left them unaccounted for.
He didn’t mind, it was just that he didn’t quite know how to deal with Earth children. He had to slow himself down so they could at least begin to understand what he was saying. Maybe one day they could work their way up to his normal speech habits.
Despite his limited understanding, he seemed to be doing an okay job so far. Miko had climbed up onto his pede, standing inside one wheel and commenting how she felt like a hamster on a wheel. He, of course, had no idea what a hamster was. That turned into Raf taking out his laptop and searching up pictures of the surprisingly small creature.
“I have to admit that I really did expect something bigger if it runs on a wheel and looking at it now, I don’t see how it could even make a wheel budge!”
Jack let out a slight chuckle. “Hamster wheels aren’t like car wheels. They’re a lot smaller. Here,” He paused for a moment to take the laptop and find a suitable picture. “See?” Looking at the picture, now he got it. Though the picture froze it, he could tell the fuzzy little animal was running in place inside a plastic wheel. There were other variations, some wheels made out of metal wires.
Miko grunted from where she stood, trying to replicate the picture. “Give me a hand here, I’ve almost got it!”
“I really doubt that’ll work seeing as I’m opting to keep it in place and even if I wasn’t, I don’t think you possess enough strength to accomplish that on me.” He gave her a gentle nudge out of the wheel, making sure she landed safely. He was sure the others wouldn’t appreciate him accidentally harming a human on his first day here.
“Well, maybe if I had some help.” She cast a glance over at Raf and Jack.
“I’m not so sure about that,” Jack said and carefully handed the laptop back to Raf.
“I remain doubtful that the three of you could.” Blurr spun his wheels quickly, the rest of his body keeping still before he brought it to an abrupt stop. “Don’t take it the wrong way but I can’t even begin to imagine that it’d be all too enjoyable for me to watch or in general for you to attempt.” Slow down. He had to talk slowly for the kids, he reminded himself. Even if he found it… annoying.
They hadn’t actually been listening to him though, more fixated on his wheels.
“How’d you do that without transforming?” Miko asked.
Could the Autobots here just… not do that? That was funny. Well, not necessarily funny, but he found it interesting. “Every Cybertronian in my universe is perfectly capable of doing it, unless of course they don’t possess any wheels and are instead a flier, but that’s besides my point and isn’t all that important! I assume Cybertronians here have transformation cogs as well since it’s necessary for transforming. Do I have that right?”
Raf was the first to respond, giving him a nod. “I guess in your universe, Autobots and Decepticons are just made differently than here. Maybe that has to do with mobility,” he suggested.
Okay, Blurr was starting to like this kid. Would it be wrong to pick favorites? “That’s certainly possible! Ratchet can already confirm that my energon isn’t like his or anyone else he’s encountered in this universe and he’s told me he wants to conduct more research later on so then we should be able to have an answer.”
“Maybe you can tell me about it!”
Miko’s expression could only be described as bewildered. “Hold up, are you telling me you get every word of that?” she asked Raf. Blurr tried not to frown since he thought he had been doing a good job of talking slower.
He smiled and adjusted his glasses. “Well, when you live in a house like mine, you tend to pick up on all kinds of ways people talk. Seriously, my family’s huge. If you wanna survive, then you’ve gotta learn.”
Oh, Blurr was definitely leaning towards a favorite child already.
Hours of more questions, chatter, and even a tour of the base, passed by until the kids were sent home. They had curfews and if they stayed out a minute too late, it would mean trouble. Apparently Jack’s mom knew about the secret of the Autobots, but the rest of their families were in the dark.
For robots in disguise, there seemed to be a handful of humans who knew about their existence. Secrecy had been no problem for the ragtag group of Autobots back in Detroit. They were all free to flaunt themselves with no consequences of being seen. Except Blurr of course, due to his mission (which he was doing an excellent job of remaining hidden until somebot messed it up).
“Blurr.”
The intelligence officer craned his neck up to Optimus. He was going to have to get used to that. “Yes?”
“Since you will be staying with us, you will need your own space.” He began walking and Blurr took it as a cue to follow. The pair walked down the hall, passing by all the collected relics. The kids had given him some insight on them. Then they made a turn, which Blurr remembered to be the rooms of everyone else, along with some more empty ones.  “While you were speaking with the children, a room was prepared for you.”
Standing outside a previously unoccupied room was Bumblebee, Bulkhead and Smokescreen. He didn’t say it, but he was surprised that Bulkhead had actually worked together with Smokescreen on something.
“It was pretty much ready before we started,” Smokescreen said.
Bumblebee nodded. “Just a little dusty. And we didn’t know what you like, so it’s still a little empty. Sorry.”
“Since you can’t leave the base yet, we’ll get you whatever you want,” Bulkhead added.
Blurr took a step inside, his optics sweeping over the room so he could take in all the details. The berth was large, but when the time came for him to lay down to recharge, it’d be comically large. There was a desk with some storage departments that had more room than he would probably end up needing. A chair came with that desk, though he wasn’t sure he’d ever actually sit down in it. His mind worked better when he was moving around.
None of it was perfect. Nothing about this day had been perfect.
But surprisingly, he realized that he liked it. With some changes of his own, he could make this work.
“Thank you,” he said and snapped his attention back to the others. “I’m grateful and wish I could express that better, but at the moment I’m very exhausted.”
A few more words were exchanged before the four Autobots bade him goodnight and let him be. Once the door closed, he was left in complete silence. And once he turned off the light, he was left in silence and darkness. He hadn’t realized how much he needed a moment of peace until just now.
He just climbed onto the berth (his estimations of it becoming comically large, proving to be correct) and closed his optics.
Things had been mostly normal when he intercepted that signal between Megatron and his spy. His plan had taken a few dents once his cover was blown, but things had seemed to be going uphill once he joined up with the Optimus Prime and his Autobots. And then everything unraveled again when he got sent through that spacebridge and stranded in another universe, immediately welcomed by hostile Decepticons. And now he was with Autobots like the ones he’d become slightly familiar with back in Detroit, yet completely different.
He wasn’t sure if being dead would be worse. He couldn’t be bothered to think about it.
So, he let himself drift off into stasis.
“We’re gonna have to tell that loud human about all this, right?” Smokescreen asked.
“Fowler?”
“Yeah, him.”
That was a given. “Yes,” Optimus said. “Though, I believe that can wait until tomorrow when everyone is better rested.”
Bulkhead snorted. “That’ll be fun.”
Suffice to say, Fowler was going to be in for a long headache.

G/t Rec/favorite list from Fanfiction.net part 1
On this list, there are a lot of Transformers stories. I feel like in that fandom it is very easy to write G/t-themed works because it already has giant robots. I tried to pick out the ones on my favorite list that focused more on the size difference and even first contact type meetings where the size difference is explored more in the story. For this list, I just copied each story summary that was already there.
Domestic Liberation by Lnzy1
Alternate G1. It is suggested by many experts that if you ever find yourself kidnapped or taken hostage, it is always a better choice to cooperate with the assailant to avoid injury, but does this rule apply to alien abductions as well?
The doctor in the cupboard by Guivana
House didn't believe in magic, but under the circumstances, what else could he blame? Science just didn't have an explanation for the fact that he'd woken up the size of a toy.

Quintesson anon again, but considering the weighty prospects of the Quintessons being a major antagonistic force in either season 2 or season whatever of Earthspark, especially considering how they've been portrayed in earlier media and what that means for the Transformers in the series. My theory is that the Quints have not only conquered and enslaved the Transformers left on Cybertron, but have been moving forth to conquer any other Transformer species out there. In addition, someone actually mentioned that the Autobots might have known that the Quintessons existed out there given that Mandroid claims he found some kind of information within the Autobot files within the GHOST computer network that he used for the Space Bridge. However, this brings up the rather interesting aspect of the Transformers hiding things from the humans, ie the T-Cog and the Matrix. I can see this being somewhat lampshaded with Dot asking why they would hide the fact that there's a race of judgemental squid aliens out there. Slightly off topic, but I'm also convinced we're going to see more of the other relics and not just the ones that usually hog the spotlight (like all of Vector Prime's swords).
You're so right so far yes yes, it tracks considering what we've seen of the Quintessons (it would be super interesting to see more non Cybertronian alien races in Earthspark, especially considering the somewhat rescue bots influences we do see some in rescue bots and RBA!), especially with the idea of them possibly working with our protagonists??? Yes please?????
Logistically speaking, I see potential for the Quintessons for being an old horror of transformer history coming back, with vague legends / frayed historical accounts of Quintessons available. BUT THE ALLURE OF SOMEONE HAVING BEEN WORKING WITH THE QUINTESSONS BEHIND EVERYONE'S BACKS AND DR MERIDIAN GETTING A HOLD OF THAT INFORMATION
I adore the idea of yes there are things they've been hiding from the humans (after all, they tried to hide that Bumblebee was still alive from GHOST, didn't they?), and that chances are we're gonna end up seeing more of the less famous artifacts from the Thirteen (I see cool uses of the Chimera Stone, Micronus's artifact!)
Judgemental squid aliens
Sdfyu. Yeah. I'm thinking that chances are most cybertronians think the Quintessons are extinct. But I'm remembering the one Fermi Paradox explanation (the dark forest explanation? I'm loading up a kurzgesagt video now to try and gain the words to better explain it). The idea that if humans know about the Quintessons, somehow the Quintessons will know about them and they will come to earth. Which would have terrifying implications.
I also see the possiblity of the initial Quintesson war being something the mecha Do Not Like To Talk About™️ because it was that devastating and horrific and okay coping mechanisms have changed since those times. The "they all forgot about it because it was That Traumatic" explanation of aligned makes me wonder more about this being an orchestrated memory wipe situation which has implications.

Hello!! I love your writing so much!
Could i request TFP bumblebee optimus and rachet with Buddy being a ghost? Buddy keeps it a secret cuz they dont want to scare the other humans and not confuse the bots out of their wits... but as time passes they notice buddy rarely eats or sleeps and sometimes if they look REALLY close they see buddy floating ever-so-slightly from the floor? Their cover gets blown when a vehicon shoots directly at buddy but the bullet goes right through them.. buddy out of fear fades out but comes back later to the base
how would the bots react? Would they be mad that buddy's been lying to them? Buddy does feel a bit guilty for hiding this from them
Ghost Buddy thought they could go so far in this war before without getting hurt.
Hope you enjoy!
Human Buddy being a ghost with Bumblebee, Optimus Prime and Ratchet
SFW, mention of injury, Buddy is a ghost, Platonic, Human Reader
TFP
Buddy didn’t remember how long they had been a ghost for.
Time sort of blurred together after a while.
When they came across the Autobots, they decided to tag along for the ride.
They didn’t expect to get so attached to them and the humans.
They were way too far in the rabbit hole to tell them about their… situation.
So, they figured if they played their cards right, they could pretend to be ‘normal’, at least for a little while longer. Until they found the right conversation to talk to them about.
The bots did find it a bit odd seeing Buddy wide awake at all hours of the day. Also, well as never seeing them eat any sort of food.
But they figured that they probably did while they weren’t looking.
Then the Vechicon attack happened. The shot went straight through them.
Now they all know that that isn’t normal for anything living.
Buddy has some explanation to do.
Buddy does feel a bit guilty from not telling the bots, their friends, about this, but at the same time they don’t.
They have been on this Earth long enough to know that not many people react well to seeing a ghost.
Buddy just didn’t want to lose their only friends right now. They needed this to last a bit longer so they didn’t have to roam the Earth alone again.
Tumblr media
Who would be mad at Buddy
These Bots have the right to be angry with Buddy. They essentially lied to them, withheld most important information from them. There is a good chance that there will be a bit of hostility towards Buddy for a bit. It won’t last long though. They would be angrier with the fact they didn’t realize this sooner. They will be more open to hear Buddy’s reason’s when they have calmed down.
Ratchet
Bumblebee
Tumblr media
Who would be more surprised than mad
They would be more surprised than upset by the realization that Buddy is a ghost. They have been communicating with a ghost for a long time and they never knew. More questions start coming out concerning Buddy’s life than their reason why they kept this a secret. They know that Buddy kept it for a reason, and they want to know why, but they won’t force it out.

In the OP x RB Crossover were Cody or someone else was with the Revolutionary Army, how does Sabo and his team react to being in Griffin Rock and meeting The Bots and Rescue Team?
I'll just go with some of them, the ones I think I know better lol. Also, after Cody scapes from the Kid Pirates he stays in the Revolutionary Army as he doesn't want to go look for the One Piece, the kid already had gone through a lot with a crew obsessed with looking for that treasure, and the captain wanting to become the Pirate King... (Miko stays because of Angts and in this timeline, Cody fall down from the boat fighting Kid in the middle of a storm... and without Little Griffin)
Monkey D. Dragon: Dragon took good care of Cody, he knew that Cody had come with some horrible experiences from his world, and it was not shock to know how much it had affected him after seeing how ¨ peaceful ¨ Cody's world was. There were no wars, no authorities that hurt the innocent, and everyone was free to live as themselves. Has a lot of respect for Chief Burns, there was little probability to find an authority like Charlie in the Marine. He also thinks that a necessary thing for the Navy is to have Rescue Teams. The Bots were nothing compared to the Admirals... like... just that they were big. Chief of Staff Sabo: When Cody told him about his world and how much he missed his family the man made it a mission to take Cody back to his world, and for what he expected, Griffin Rock is mostly what he wanted in a free world. It was so crazy, Sabo had seen crazy mechanics before, but what scientists like Doc Greene brought to the table where just... not something from his world. Meeting the Bots was also a big surprise, it was not his first time meeting giants but something with the Rescue Bots made them much different and interesting. He asks why the Luskey is still the Mayor, the answer they give him just reminds him that a government is still a government no matter how good they are... Emporio Ivankov: The first thing Ivankov heard Cody tell him was ¨you look so Noble¨ and the fact that Cody was a more friendly version of kid Sabo made Ivankiov like the kid. He also promised Cody that he would punish the ugly Pirate and stupid Marine who hurt him. When he landed in Griffin Rock the first thing he thought he would encounter was people freaking out because of his appearance, but even when people just ask him to wear something else, they all here friendly and respectful to his persona. If he changed genders everyone was surprised at first, but after a quick explanation there was nothing else to know but to continue a ¨normal¨ day. Ivankov also offers the free use of his power if anyone wants it. Bartholomew Kuma: Cody helped save Kuma and thought there was not much they could do, Cody changed that. Koala: Instantly liked Cody and wonders how he survived on an island that HAS A HAND-MADE VOLCANO. Likes to spend time with Dani and taught her some Karate Fisk moves so she could defend herself. She loves the Bots!! They remind her a lot of the Sun Pirate crew, especially Heatwave, not only was he red, but it reminded Koala a lot of her old friend... Hack: He and Koala form a little bond while training and figure out mostly how Cody's family is, but a tiny part of him told him that they would still feel scared of him, so what a surprise! Giant metallic aliens were more interesting than him. Thinks about teaching the citizens some Karate fish combat moves just in case.

Forget my last ask. Explain yourself
RHHEGDHEUW WHAT
OKAY SO SIMPLE EXPLANATION OF HOW CHARACTER.AI WORKS (FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND):
Each character technically isn't its own unique AI model, they're created by putting some modifiers over a big base model that the whole site uses. These modifiers determine which parts of the base get used and how.
It's kind of like the whole site is one singular AI bot that just roleplays as the different individual characters. So I guess the bot knew about star wars and for some bizzare reason decided "ah yes, it is 100% in character for moon fnaf to reference star wars" (or whatever that reference is from, idk star wars stuff)
This is a super simplified explanation of how I think it works though, I'm not a dev for the site and I'm only a self-taught hobbyist at AI stuff, so I could have details wrong.

*cocks gun* Ship’s Haunted
Duuuuuuude okay so my friend @cuppajj has an AU where the Lost Light is a titan and the Shattered Glass version has sparked so much horror art and writing it’s great and I love it here’s my attempt at horror I hope you guys like it this isn’t my forte whatsoever
Ever since the Great Cybertronian War came to an end, there’d been no shortage of ghost sightings all across the galaxy. The spirit of one of the former leaders of Cybertron drifting aimlessly through the halls of his former office. Ghostly, unnatural fog over battlefields, where when you walked through, you could still faintly hear gunfire. The Tetrahex Ripper showing up again in their old territory, but far less deadly than they had been in ages past. Part of a duocon desperately searching for their missing half.
But what there had really been an abundance of in the past few decades were accounts of ghost ships.
You were always a little skeptical about the supernatural, but you found an interest in it regardless. The ghost ships were your favorite thing to research. They weren’t the actual ghosts of ships, of course, but rather old, abandoned ships, drifting through the cosmos with hardly any sign of their crews to be found.
Sometimes the explanation was obvious. One account of hearing the voices of the old passengers of a ship was just the security system malfunctioning, resulting in the audio recordings playing throughout the ship. Another ship was abandoned when the fuel ran out halfway between galaxies, prompting the crew to send out an SOS to pick them up, forgetting to turn it off when they boarded the other ship.
But one day, while you’re sitting in Maccadam’s with your fellow ghost hunting buddies, somebody brings up a peculiar case: the Lost Light.
Rumored to have been under the command of the last Prime, there’d been numerous sightings of the run-down space cruiser drifting around in random parts of the galaxy, but if anyone got too close, it would speed away seemingly completely on its own, not letting anyone board.
One of your friends suggests that maybe some of the old crew is still alive in there, but that’s quickly shot down, since nobody’s seen it dock on a planet to restock food and fuel. You make a joke about how people have said you look like the Prime, so maybe you’d be able to check it out. Everyone laughs. Your friend pays the tab, and you all decide to go see a new horror movie that everyone’s been saying is terrible.
That was about five days ago, and now here you were, staring down the Lost Light itself, your little ship absolutely dwarfed in comparison to it. You take a deep intake, and try to send it a ping: ‘Hello, may I come aboard?’
The only response you get is an uncomfortably long radio silence, before you spot a door opening up to the vehicle bay towards the underside of the ship. Steeling yourself, you drive your tiny ship towards the dock. As you park, you see the door close behind you. No turning back now, you suppose.
As soon as you stepped out into the hangar, you very quickly noticed that it wasn’t completely silent. There was the distant hum of something, perhaps the engines, and the shrill creaking of old metal. You figured the ship wasn’t as structurally sound anymore, and watch where you step as you head further into the great ship.
Even though you’re completely alone, you can’t shake the feeling of something watching you through the cracks in the walls. Was your friend right about some of the old crew still being alive? You call out to see if anyone responds, and your voice echoes through the corridors, remaining completely unanswered.
There’s a total lack of any life in this place. It creeps you out. What you wouldn’t give to see some crude graffiti- any sign that someone still alive had been here before you. It’s clear that you’re the first living bot to set foot on the Lost Light in years.
You come across the laboratory, where two of the greatest scientific minds Cybertron had ever known were rumored to have worked, their old experiments sitting scattered on the lab tables. You ignore what looks at first glance to be their grayed forms sitting intertwined in the corner.
The bar, no doubt once full of music once upon a time, was a mess. Tables and chairs were thrown about all over the room, and there were shards of glass smashed on the floor. Some of the energon bottles behind the bar itself were still full, but you didn’t trust the contents enough to drink them. You take a rest here on one of the barstools, and check your comms to see if anyone sent you any messages.
…why did it seem that you hadn’t received any comms since you boarded the ship?
You decide that after you check out the bridge, you’re getting the hell out of this place. This was far more unsettling than you were comfortable with, frankly.
The creaking of metal got louder as you approached the captain’s quarters. You feel like your spark has jumped up into your throat. Was the captain still alive? There had to be someone in there, still trying to manage the decrepit starship.
You slowly open the door…
