slowly working my way through requests i have had for years :') better late than never??? requests still open <3 i am thinking of making a part 2 for this as it does not nearly have enough jasper in it :))

requested: yes! Hi can i request about jasper x reader, where the reader is sarcastic, but more kinder than her sister Jane, and she's also part of the volturi. A scene that happens in eclipse saga where the cullens met her for the first time, and with her sarcastic mouth she caught the attention of Jasper Cullen. Then everything follows. I'm fine with only fluff for this hehe. Only if you're not busy

You take off your hood at the same time as your fellow members, revealing your face to the Cullen family that stands before you. Most of the time, you wouldn't bother to come to Forks, but after hearing about the created army, you just had to see it for yourself.

But, nothing was left. The only proof of it ever existing was the ice-cold bodies littering all over the snowy field.

"Well," you start. "This could have been cleaned up. Weren't expecting any guests, I assume?"

Alec looks over at you, sending you a glare as you put up your hands. No time for jokes when you are a member of the Volturi.

"Impressive," Jane says. Though the word itself has a positive meaning, your sister still finds a way to bring it with as few emotions as possible. "Never have I seen a coven escape with so much as a scratch after an attack this big."

"We were lucky," a man stiffly says, making your eyes float over to him. His eyes are golden, and though the color is warm and as soft as honey, he still glares at your sister.

"It appears that we have missed an entertaining fight," Alec smirks, looking over at his younger sister. "I am sure that we would have been of great help."

"Yes," you reply with a smile and a sigh. "It is not often that we are deemed... Unnecessary. Even the human has played her part."

The Cullen's eyes all narrow when you mention the human. Wow, tough crowd. How could they even bare to be so close to her? You are well known for your self-control, but they are almost hanging over the woman and still do not show any signs of hunger.

"What a pity," your older sister sneers, her eyes gliding over the crowd. You can feel the plan brewing in her head, your suspicions confirmed when you see the smallest smirk forming on her face.

"But, you missed one."

The blood-colored eyes jump out of the crowd, a big contrast against all the golden ones. A terrified younger girl, and weirdly enough, she reminded her of you. You remember how terrified you were when you first got turned, but luckily you weren't the only one in the situation. As the youngest one of the triplets, you had your older brother and sister to look up to. It was just pure luck that the Volturi saw potential in your powers.

One of the Cullens walked over to the girl, shielding her behind him as he stares at your sister. His hair is slightly wavy, and for some reason, his eyes are more beautiful than the rest. Surely they should all be the same color, but his eyes feel different.

"We offered her asylum in exchange for her surrender."

Jane scoffs as she fights the urge to cross her arms.

"Well. That wasn't yours to offer."

Red eyes dart around as the figure disappears more behind the pretty, blonde man, trying to shield herself from your sister more and more.

"Why did you come?"

You look over to Alec. Your sister was always better at interrogating. Dimitri and Felix are more strong, though Felix handles most, if not all, executions.

Before any response can be given, the girl falls to the ground, a blood-curdling scream leaving her body as she tries to grip onto the frozen grass.

"Who created you?" Your sister continues, no emotions evident on her face except for the slightest bit of amusement.

"You don't need to do that!" The brown-haired woman tries. "She will tell you all that you want to know!"

The entire situation does not affect you that much. Even though you can find yourself in the screaming girl, it isn't the first time that you have seen your sister use her power, and it definitely will not be the last time. Instead, you curiously watch the blonde man that stood in front of her. Maybe it is a good thing that you decided to come.

He has not said anything yet. His silence is almost inspiring, though strange. In your eyes, he seems quite careful, yet still intimidating. Truly something special. He seems to notice your stare as he looks back, your eyes connecting in a weird, but magical way.

"Isn't that right, Jane?"

You look from your sister to your brother. She does not look pleased with the answers she receives.

"Oh, of course." She looks back at the other members. "Felix."

"No! She did not know what she was doing! We will be responsible for all her actions, I promise."

"Well," Jane squints her eyes. "The Volturi doesn't give out second chances."

"Ah, yes. Caius asked me to bring a message," you smile, one that seems more genuine than your sister could ever muster up. "He would be delighted to know that you still have a human among you."

You take a few steps closer to the human girl, her vampire boyfriend guarding her like a guard dog. Before you can even lift a finger, the attractive blonde man stops you.

"The date is set."

His hand is around your wrist, stopping it from going up. You look him in the eyes as he looks down at yours, your bodies closer than you would have imagined. After a blink and a nod, he releases you, but still stands between you and the human.

"I will make sure Caius receives your word," you mumble, looking at the rest of the Volturi.

"Felix, take care of that, will you? I would like to go home."

Boredom laces Jane her voice. Situations never interested your sister for that long, especially not if it was only about one other being. Felix only nods, stepping forward as he towers over the small girl who is still laying on the floor.

Golden eyes glare at him, but they know they can not do anything against it. What the Volturi says, is what should be done. You glance back up at the blonde man.

Your sister and brother have already put on their hoods, ready to turn around and leave as Felix and Dimitri pull the girl up by her arms. Screams leave her mouth as she trashes to get out of their grips. Felix tightens his arm around her throat, ready to rip the girl apart before you lift your hand.

With your right hand up, they all freeze in their tracks. Everything from their head down is frozen in time, almost as if you paused a scene in the movie.

"I do not recall the girl ever having one chance. So, to give her a chance now would be her first," you say.

Jane raises her eyebrow, curiosity filling her eyes, but her face staying stoic.

"I propose that she gets one chance. I shall stay as a guest with the Cullens, if you shall have me," you look at the man who you guessed was their leader. "We shall give them thirty days. Has she not been able to adapt to their lifestyle, or if she does seem to be a threat to either the Cullens or the Volturi, she shall be executed the minute the it is discovered."

The fire burns beside you, ready to engulf the girl. Your brother stares at you blankly. You have never been so interested in any other group than the Volturi, nevertheless, stand with them.

"I can not give you an answer if you do not unfreeze me, Y/N."

You lower your hands, and everyone stands back up straight, though Dimitri and Felix still have a tight grip on the young vampire.

"Just know that you will be responsible if this gets out of hand. One wrong move and you shall have to kill her with your own hands."

The Cullens are at a loss for words but do not dare to show any of their surprise to the Volturi at this time.

"If I may," the leader starts. "Our house will be open to Y/N, if she wishes. We will obey all that the Volturi will tell us."

It is silent for a few seconds before Jane gestures for Dimitri and Felix to loosen their grip.

"Which is exactly how it should be," Jane says, raising her head. "I shall let Aro know of your decision. If you come back with even so much as a scratch, all of the Cullens shall be executed."

"I can not believe you would think of me that lowly," you smirk. "As if they stand a chance against me."

Felix looks almost disappointed at the fact that he was not able to murder the girl, but he still pulls his arms back before putting his hood back on, Dimitri following his actions.

So there you stood, your full black outfit contrasting against the slightly more colorful ones of the Cullens. You help the young vampire up before facing the family.

"Well. Lead the way."

Though sarcastic and slightly stoic, Jasper can see right through you. He could feel the way nervousness filled you up as Bree screamed, the feeling of accomplishment when the rest of the Volturi agreed with your idea, the way your heart would have jumped the second the two of you looked in each other's eyes.

Edward looks over at his blonde brother. With only a nod he confirms Jasper his suspicions; his mate is in the Volturi.

You sat on their couch, perfectly straight and just observing your surroundings. Jasper clears his throat, catching your attention as he sits down next to you, but not close enough to touch.

"I think I speak for all of us," he gestures to the rest of his family. "When I say that I am thankful for your actions earlier today."

"Well," you nod. "Bree should be lucky that I joined my brother and sister today. Surely she would not be here now if it went their way. One chance."

"I will make sure that it works out. I believe in the girl," Jasper nods, holding out his hand to you. "It might be smart to get to know you, after all, you are our guest. Jasper Hale."

And with a smile, you take his hand.

"Y/N Volturi."

Scarlet Blaze Ch 9

Going to admit up front that I'm incredibly unmotivated to play this, but here we go.

STORY

Ok, so calling it now. Edelgard realizes she's a dumbass for thinking her single-supply line 10/10 army strategies couldn't smash all of Fodlan under her fist at the same time. So she's going back to look at options.

Given what the story's said so far, write it down - Edelgard will call a temp truce with Claude to focus on the Kingdom. Then she'll later plan on fighting the Alliance or doing exactly what she accuses Rhea of doing and ruling the Alliance with her soft-power.

Lysithea showing up? Does she if you don't recruit her? She doesn't really add anything to the scene.

Hubert thinks TWSITD wants to recruit Shez. He's getting interrogated by his own allies. Yikes. Deserved. That's what you get for fighting for the Imperialist land-hungry country.

Oh, no side-battles this time, like in GW in ch 8. Good. Means it'll go fast.

MAP/SIDE BATTLES

I keep remembering that Ingrid's dead in this storyline. If Sylvain or Felix are recruitable after this, that's straight-up character assassination.

Monica adds nothing of value. Her personality is literally just "Edelgard."

"Whatever part of me that was a knight is dead." - Ashe 😭 It's like CF!Felix all over again. He's just miserable. At least someone here gives a fuck about Ingrid.

Lysithea not trusting the Empire saga continues.

Least self-aware Imperial soldier "Why, what would happen if instead the Empire itself were suddenly invaded?"

Glad to see Mercedes expressing regrets.

Ok. Who wrote this? "I believe the Church of Serios ought to be protecting the people of Adrestia even now." 🤣

SHEZ & MONICA B SUPPORT

I'm sure this will be a deep, nuanced conversation. 👌

Monica is jealous of Shez because Edelgard is impressed with him. And is in denial.

She claims her relationship with Edelgard is deeper and Shez is just her servant.

Monica literally counts how many times Edelgard says people's names.

Much deep. Such character.

EDELGARD & BALTHUS B SUPPORT

Their final support.

Hubert told Edelgard Balthus was a womanizer. Hubert is really over the top in this game, lamo.

Edelgard isn't Balthus' type. Taste.

"I'm not compassionate - merely hopelessly committed to my ideals." - Some self-awareness this time. Nice.

"I've set out to unite all of Fodlan. I've started a war over it." - Edelgard.

I've seen people say the fandom say we shouldn't assume Hubert's thoughts are Edelgard, fair. But, like, it's right there. Out of her own mouth. Again.

She promises to protect anyone who serves her and her ideals. Tell that to Houses!Bernedetta or Houses!Monica.

In the end she invites him to a war council.

MANUELA & JERITZA B SUPPORT

Their final support.

Manuela notices that Jeritza is getting along better with the soldiers. He compliments her for being perceptive.

Manuela tells him that all he's missing is a smile. Not going to lie, I thought she was going to say "wife" instead.

She's really pulling a "you should smile." She and Claude need to get put in a corner for that. Albeit, Manuela is acting as his teacher, Claude's just being a sexist ass.

Jertiza smiles and seems to like Manuela, but not the way she wants.

HUBERT, PETRA, & JERITZA PARALOGUE

I see Lorenz is in two paralogues available here, so I guess characters sometimes are in more than one?

Anyways, plan is to use Hubert and/or Petra while Jeritza gets carried around.

I think I pissed Hubert off and made Jeritza happy.

They debate how tough the group is. Game is being somewhat self-aware by having people be like "move on already."

Soooo . . . this paralogue is about stopping the Church of Serios from assassinating Count Varley. Fuck that.

So in this paralogue we're rescuing an abusive father who's using faith as propaganda from the people trying to get rid of corrupt leaders in the location of the home we chased them out of on threat of murder if they return. Great.

Man, we had to fight Shamir and Catherine duo :(

Catherine asked if we were really willing to die for Varley. You know it's bad when Catherine is the smartest one in the room.

SHEZ & JERITZA B SUPPORT

Jeritza is looking for someone. He saw them and he ran away.

Shez described Jeritza as having a "murdery aura," accurate.

He says he'll never "capture her." Man, Shez, not sure it's a good idea to help him here.

He denies getting help.

LORENZ, FERDINAND, & CONSTANCE PARALOGUE

They're all having tea together and discussing it and trying to "out noble" each other and kissing each other's ass.

Constance feels inferior to their nobility. It's her sun thing, right?

Constance asks them which one is the most noble. Ferdinand says it's not noble to rank things like that. Constance calls them cowards essentially.

Now they're having a competition and asks Shez to judge. Shez suggests a training battle.

I hope Ferdinand gets a second paralogue that's most interesting than this. The dialogue wasn't even that funny outside the the first part.

It was an extremely mid plot, but fun to play with the time limit on killing all the generals.

If Ferdinand was MVP, does that mean he won?

Shez won. Is that automatic then? I jumped back and forth between Shez and Ferdinand the whole time.

Now they're going to have a tea party.

MAIN BATTLE/STORY

Monica is soooo boring.

People are trying to assassinate Edelgard. Hubert suspects Shez.

Shez, Monica, and Hubert rescue Edelgard from Shamir in a cut scene. Hubert also blasted at Shamir and Monica was in the way of his magic. Monica gets mad. No one told her what happened in Houses lamo.

Edelgard just stands there the whole time during the cut scene lol.

Oh, Edelgard's a green unit this time. Weird. Like it made sense for Dimitri but the moment we busted him out, he was playable. Edelgard isn't under threat of Cornelia or anything. Oh well, she's not one of my best units.

Oh, fuck, I can't use Hubert either. That actually does sting.

It's ok. I still have Ferdinand and Shez, Manuela is good too.

Persuade Shamir is an option. Makes sense I guess.

I have to protect Edelgard from getting routed. But what if I just . . . don't? Kinda weird how she's just . . . standing there. Like there's no in-game reason for why she's not fighting and just sitting around letting everyone else save her.

Edelgard left the throne room for like a minute and needed to get warp rescued back lamo.

OMG, Shamir only defects to save Catherine's life. 😭😭😭😭😭 Girlfriends.

I feel so much like the villain right now. After that stuff with Catherine and Shamir.

Ferdinand's father escaped. Hubert's taking it out on Ferdinand.

I think Hubert will use this escape as an excuse to kill Aegir.

They used a secret passage. Rhea probably helped build it lol.

Hubert is apologizing for suspecting Shez.

Wow, Shez only got promoted so Hubert could investigate him. So Edelgard only promoted a commoner because she suspected him of being a spy.

Yikes, poor Shez. Claude leaves him with no work (and not much pay) for years and Edelgard suspect Shez is with the enemy nearly the entire game.

I get to make Shez pissed off though. He's actually calling them out for being two-faced too.

"The great war Edelgard instigated" - narration. Claude, Dimitri - neither of you started this.

Part 1 Fin. Like with GW. I suspect AG will get that after Ch 9 too and GW is just one chapter ahead time-wise than the others right now.

red vs blue au list (any could be altered - i've finish the shisno paradox trilogy but just haven't thought about anything past s15 yet lol)

evocation au - temple recovers church before s15 and is trying to recreate biff with him. church's memory is struggling and so the conflict is increased as the events of s15 carry out and are even warped with this new added twist. it is VERY chuckerboose-centric.

doomsday au - (started as a shitpost au and is still treated like one as a result, but has had some intense lore created for it to the point that i am invested in the plot beyond jokes. characters are most out of character in this one as a result.) essentially, something goes wrong with loco's time machine in the s15 finale and when the portal opens things go horrible wrong, and some kind of explosion goes off that transports tucker and caboose to another planet with no way of getting off or contacting the guys for the foreseeable future. the planet happens to be apocalyptic as hell and caboose swore he saw church before the blast rang out ... it is chuckerboose centric ... and, due to everything being so hectic, they call it planet doomsday.

downloaded au - delta was able to make a backup of himself during the freelancer saga, so why couldn't epsilon with the right hardware? essentially, caboose was paranoid of losing church again at some point in s13 before the latter half of the season. they find an old smartphone and decide to have caboose use his engineering skills to reinforce it and also give it ability to run on solar power - then, they make a backup of church into it. come the s13 finale, they happen to have church still! only...he is hardwired into a phone and they don't know how to get him out of it without damaging him and/or losing him. chuckerboose-centric. (and so it's a slight comedic au i got from the idea of church inhabiting a phone to send texts to tucker and caboose from inside.)

firewall au - extremely underdeveloped, but stemmed from the idea of felix in s13 being too fed up with hargrove that he plans to steal epsilon to use the meta suit for himself to kill the reds and blues all for his sadistic gain. maybe even threaten hargrove while he's at it and get his reward anyway. of course, this alters a lot of the latter half of s13 around. in this au, felix lives his fall and continues to affect the plot later on. chuckerboose and lolix are the focused ships of the au.

lighthouse au - maine survives after the s8 finale and somehow, with the help of washington and the reds and blues, finds himself with the blues alongside his former freelancer friend. it is mainewash-centric (of course, chuckerboose is there, though) and spends the earlier parts of the au following maine as he recovers from everything that went on as well as him trying to be himself again. by the time we reach s10, i imagine he has a wavering self control when it comes to epsilon that is focused on, but all in all, this au has mostly good endings and maine somehow makes things 100 times better by being there. church lives. what more could you want

memory au - it's the good ending to evocation, which is also my main "church lives" au. chuckerboose-centric as a result, but the concept is that everything from their adventures settles down and the reds and blues try to readjust to living on a colonized planet (either earth or something resembling it). there are some more trials and tribulations and such in this au, but as promised, it is a good ending and by the end of it, everyone lives happy domestic lives nearby each other and they remain friends. ("memory ending" is used to describe scenes from the end of the au that are completely domestic with none of the au's ongoing plot involved.)

I was a great liar.

This whole time, I had been lying to myself. I thought I moved on, and because of the past decisions I had made, the saga continued.

I was one for making mistakes, but this had to be the worst. I only realised the depth of my mistake a few days ago when Wendy started teasing me.

Recently, I had discovered some numbers I had saved in my email from when I backed up information some time ago.

What I was about to do was stupid and futile, but I felt the urge to do so.

That was the confirmation, right? He absolutely, positively, one hundred percent hated me.

But something tugged at my heart, something deeper that dissatisfaction. I decided to keep talking.

Headcanon of being Paul Lahote's Human Imprint (GN)

This is a request for @doingyom0mma. I tried to deliver it as best as I could. I hope I did. I didn't focus on specifics, rather the story of how they met.

Trigger warning for mentions of death and loss

Paul had always been against having an imprint - he thought he would never be able to commit to one person emotionally, let alone be willing to sacrifice his life for them.

Paul was shocked when he imprinted on you.

You recently moved just outside of Forks, running away from a life of pain and sadness. You had lost your family to terrible diseases, and you just wanted to get away from the hustle and noise of the big city, trying to find inner peace.

You were just passing by La Push one day, on your way to the beach. That’s when Paul saw you from afar, sitting on a log by yourself. He was playing football with his packmates, and someone *QUIL* kicked the ball too hard, almost hitting you in the face - it only missed by a few centimeters.

Paul, being the farthest from the others and the closest to you, came by your side to apologize and retrieve the ball. The moment your eyes met, the world around him stopped, and he couldn’t focus on anything, but you.

Paul tried to reject the imprint at first - he had so many issues of his own, he didn’t want to bring yours into the mix, so he kept his distance from you.

However, the more time he stayed away from you, the more physically and emotionally sick he’d become.

He was easily irritated - more than he was before the imprinting.

Sam was getting tired of his attitude, so he searched for you and invited you over to his and Emily’s place for dinner.

Though you were hesitant when a man showed up on your doorstep and invited you to dinner with his friends and family, he explained that it was a tradition his wife started to invite their new neighbors over. Since there weren’t usually new people around, it was always nice for them to make new friends. So, you agreed.

Paul was shocked to see you at the dinner but also expected Sam and Emily would pull off something like that.

As the hours passed and Emily encouraged you to open up more, Paul started to see what an amazing person you were. Though you had been through a lot, you still kept a positive attitude towards life, thinking that life may take some things away from us, just to give us something else back. You just waited for that something else to come.

Unbeknownst to you, that something came in the form of Paul Lahote.

I was scrolling through an old magazine, clearly uninterested in its contents, but I had to occupy myself somehow. I was currently sitting at a cafe by the beach, under the warm afternoon sun. After just a month of leaving Forks, I had finally found some sort of peace and quiet. And though I was still hurt from the events of the previous month, I felt like a completely different person.

I had changed compared to how I was before. I felt way more apathetic to everything around me, as if nobody and nothing else mattered to me, which was true actually. I found myself in a new - well, new in the sense of how it was now - place, so I had nobody and nothing to care about. I had lost all connections with the life I had a month ago, so, naturally, I felt nothing at all.

I slowly sipped on my ‘Kitro’ drink, which the waiter proposed I should try out. It was a kind of liqueur with a citrusy taste; it smelled sweet, but it was supposed to be slightly bitter, which I did not mind anyway. The island had inspired me to be daring, so I actually tried out many different foods and drinks throughout my stay. Though food would usually make me nauseous and want to throw up, I pushed myself not to puke in front of humans, but pretend to actually enjoy eating and drinking.

Naxos was beautiful during the summer, and this attracted thousands of tourists, so I was considered lucky enough to have found a place to stay. The island combined elements from many different eras - from the ancient Greek times to the Venetians and Turks - with the modern elements. And yet, it was quieter than other places around Greece, and it gave me a sense of peace and freedom.

During this past month, I was just running; running away from my own self and my problems, instead of acknowledging the fact that what was done was done, that there was nothing I could do to fix things, and that I should instead focus on my own self and how to make it in this new reality.

So, I did just that: I focused on myself, and what was best for me. Though I had questioned my diet plenty of times since the day I left Forks and the US in general, I still could not bring myself to consume human blood. I was supposed to be a monster - at least that was what my mate thought of me, but, in the end, that just wasn’t me. I was a monster just because I was a bloodsucker, but I would not be the kind of monster that others of my kind were.

Living around humans was easy for me; the illusions helped me conceal my true identity from others, and that made it easy for me to adjust and live in every place possible. While others of my kind would live under heavy clouds, like the Cullens, or hide during the day and only go out at night, like the Volturi, I was walking around humans no matter the place, weather, or time of the day.

I was living in peace with them, and I wouldn’t wish to become somebody who could not control their thirst for human blood anyway. There were times when a tiny voice inside my head was telling me that it was okay if I wanted to try some blood; that it was in my nature to kill humans and taste their blood. I quickly silenced that tiny voice every single moment to avoid getting myself caught in weird situations with humans.

And though I said I had become apathetic, there was still a lot of pain left deep inside me; pain that I tried to mask, to hide. The pain of being alone, away from Embry; the pain that consumed me every time I was giving it the power to. So, I tried to occupy myself enough to forget about him. And, sometimes, it worked; other times, his image would burn up my mind, and then the memories would come back. More often than not, it was, mostly, memories of our fight.

But there were some good memories too. Memories of Embry and I in each other’s arms, or at the beach, or from the times we hanged out with the pack and the imprints. I missed Paul and Leah just as much as I missed Embry, though I missed Embry the most, out of every person I had ever met.

Embry was the one reason I had to live. I had always hoped to find my mate; to feel what the lucky few of us felt when they found their better halves. I was staying alive just hoping that I would find my mate once. And when I did, I may have been reserved at first, not because of Embry’s nature, but because of mine.

I was afraid that I would hurt him in some way; that our natures would inevitably clash, and that we would never be able to see eye to eye. But what we had seemed to be working at first, despite our clear differences. Though there was the obvious fear and worry for the unknown from both sides, we managed to work somehow. And we were good together.

Until I had to ruin everything by “trying to make Embry’s life better”. I actually thought I was helping him get rid of a huge weight off of him, but I was wrong. I shouldn’t have got myself involved in his family life. I shouldn’t have met up with his mother, let alone speak to her about Embry. Maybe I wasn’t meant to be in Embry’s life like that - I really didn’t know.

What I knew was that, despite what happened between us, I still missed him. I missed him so much. Every single day, I wished that I could turn back time and undo what I did, which I knew wasn’t possible, but I just wished I could. And I also hoped he missed me the same way I missed him.

I couldn’t sleep, couldn’t eat, couldn’t think about anything, but her. I was becoming more and more miserable by the day. The pain and guilt were eating my mind, reminding me that I was the only one responsible for my current situation.

I felt bad for leaving him back here in La Push. But the battle with the newborns had exhausted me mentally and emotionally. I was terrified all the time, not just for the people in the area or my family, but mostly for the pack, and even more for Sam. It wasn’t that I did not believe in their capabilities, but the imprinting made me more anxious, cautious and worried for his well-being, and it was taking a toll on my health.

Sam imprinted on me about 6 months earlier, when I came back home from graduating university and was visiting old friends in La Push. He was cliff diving with Jared, Paul, and Embry, which seemed terrifying for regular humans like myself, but not for the Wolfpack. They walked out of the water, stepping on the sand, and all it took was one look for him to imprint and me to fall madly in love with him.

And everything was going amazing until he revealed his true nature to me - that he was a shifter, the genes passing from generation to generation. To add to the responsibility, he was the Alpha of his pack. It took a lot of time to come to terms with the reality of things, and I decided I was okay with everything for Sam’s sake.

But the existence of vampires - being the shifters’ natural enemies - was shocking, to say the least. More so because my own father’s coworker, Dr. Carlisle, turned out to be one of the local vampire residents. To be completely honest, I always knew there was something otherworldly with him - there was no way a regular person could be as good-looking as him.

After that revelation, I was unsure and scared of what would happen if Sam got hurt or, worse, killed. I knew I wouldn’t be able to deal with that. When it was revealed that a newborn vampire army, led by the Cullens’ vampire enemy, would come to Forks, my anxiety hit the roof. I was scared for Sam and the pack; Sam was scared for me; we were both scared for each other.

It took me a lot of time, thinking, and weighting things to come to the decision that I needed time on my own; I needed to stay away from all this to feel like myself again. Unfortunately, that meant that I had to stay away from Sam, and though it pained me to be away from him, I knew that in order for the both of us to be well in the long run, one of us had to give the other one space. And I also knew that Sam wouldn’t willingly want to stay away from me, so I had to be the one to make that decision for the both of us.

“Are you sure about this, (Y/N)? Moving away is a big decision, even if it’s for a short time, isn’t it? You’re going away just for the summer, right?” My dad was worried and clueless, as he was driving me to the airport.

“I really don’t know, dad. I may go back for the summer, or I may stay there for some time.” I didn’t feel like talking too much about my feelings right now. I couldn’t tell my parents the real reason why I wanted to go away, ‘cause that would include having to tell them about the tribe’s secret, which was way too serious and important to let others know. And while I was now part of this insight into the supernatural world, it became too much for me to handle over time.

“You know there’s still time to think about it. We can just go back home. Everyone’s going to be devastated if you leave. Your mom, your sister, your friends, your…boyfriend, too, I guess.” My family had met Sam when he came by our home some time after we got together. It was also the night I learned about the shifters, and I lost my sleep that night, trying to comprehend everything he told and showed me.

“I think I want to go away. Back home, to Greece, I mean. I want to live that experience. I haven’t really been back since we used to go there for vacation. I missed my grandparents, my aunts, uncles, cousins. I will have a place to stay there, and I’ll manage. I may even be able to get a job or something, I’ll see.”

“I guess I cannot stop you, can I? Just promise me that you’ll be careful and that you’ll take care of yourself. Don’t talk back to your grandparents. Don’t drink too much. Don’t eat too much pita gyro. I know you want to, but please don’t. It’s not healthy in the long run.” He laughed a bit, and I laughed along with him.

“I promise, mpampa (dad). Anything else I should look out for?”

“Did you take both of your passports? Both IDs? Driver’s license?”

“I did. Everything’s in my backpack.”

“Okay, I guess you are ready to go. Just say hi to my sister and groom for me when you see them, okay?”

“Okay, dad. I will.” I turned to look through the open window, breathing the crispy, woodsy air in, enjoying it for the last time. However, I failed to block out the howling that echoed through the woods.

Sam’s POV

I had been feeling far more agitated than I usually did. The vampire threat may be gone for now, but so was (Y/N). I couldn’t think straight the majority of the time; while I had to stay focused and strong for the sake of the pack, I couldn’t be either at the moment. They wanted a committed leader to inspire, guide, and keep them grounded, but I couldn’t keep myself grounded, so how could I impose that on the others?

I had no choice but to anoint Jared as the temporary pack leader. Jared was the beta of the pack, and though he didn’t look as bright, he actually was really smart, and a trickster; I could count on him to find new ways to lead effectively, so I let him be. I knew he would do his best as my replacement.

I was driving down the provincial roads of Washington, going towards La Push, where my friend, Nessie, and her family were waiting for me. “Immortale” by Måneskin was bursting through my rental car, which Nessie had arranged for me, as I was hitting the steering wheel in the rhythm of the song. I loved that song so much, I was singing it at the top of my lungs - at least, the parts I knew how to say.

(Y/N)’s POV

“Credimi, credimi, sono diventato immortale (Believe me, believe me, I became immortal).”

I was tired after flying for 20 hours and having to drive for another 4, but this song always brought my mood up. That, and the fact that I managed to sleep plenty of hours through the flights. I was counting down the hours until I reached La Push. It was Nessie’s birthday tomorrow, and she had invited me over to spend a few weeks with her and her family.

Nessie and I met when she came to my university as a study abroad student. At first, she only planned to stay here for a semester, but that turned into two semesters - the maximum time study abroad students were allowed to stay there. I was heartbroken when she had to go back home, but she had promised me she’ll do anything to meet again.

I didn’t know what it was with Nessie - or Renesmee, as she was officially named. She was such a fun person to be around. She made everyone feel welcome and happy, and she was probably the easiest person to get along with. She was up for anything, but she was also the most responsible out of everyone, kind of like the mom in our small group of her, me, and my four other friends.

I was getting more and more excited the closer I got to La Push, though I still had to drive within the required speed limits. It was really difficult to estimate the kilometers to miles, and thankfully the car was already in miles, but it was still difficult to keep up with the speed limits around here. The US was really strict with the speed limits, which I never experienced before, but better to be safe than sorry. I didn’t want to get deported or something, so I drove much slower than I usually did.

I liked driving fast, testing the car’s limits, as well as my own, and kind of brag about my driving to others. I liked driving fast, but I was also extremely cautious, and these two often clashed with each other. I would sometimes hate slow drivers, and other times I would wish other drivers drove more slowly. Unfortunately, I had terrible road rage in either case.

Fortunately, I was aware of where I could drive fast, and where I had better drive slowly and carefully. And these narrow, provincial roads were not made for speeding. They were steep from the constant rain, and they had too many turns to count - the very opposite of a road to speed on.

That, however, did not stop the asshole that was following me from almost bumping onto my car, speeding beyond my own comprehension, and almost colliding with the back of my car. Said asshole was flashing his car’s lights and honking at me as if any of these would actually make me go any faster. I was driving for over three and a half hours, just to come across this ass in the last 20 minutes of my driving.

The man kept honking and trying to scare me into speeding or moving over so he could run past me. I was a bigger asshole than he was and my anger rose rapidly as it usually did, so I stepped gently on my brakes, forcing him to step hard on his before he decided that enough was enough.

He stepped on his gas, and, with an abrupt movement, ran past me, before cutting me off and then speeding off like the ass he was. I sent a lovely open palm on his side, cursing him, and continued driving. My heart was beating fast all this time - a mix of fear and adrenaline, and I was slowly trying to calm myself down, but my hands were still shaking.

“Just a few more minutes, (Y/N). Just a few more minutes.”

I was trying to calm myself down, as I was known for getting too angry too quickly, and now, it was not the time for that. I had to remain calm and collected. It was Nessie’s birthday after all, and I didn’t want to ruin everything because of a random asshole. It would be the first time I met her family and friends, and I wanted to leave a good impression, not be the angry ass around here.

I reached the address she had given me after a few minutes. The house seemed small and old, slightly worn out by the rain and humidity, but the location, being slightly away from other houses around the area, offered peace and quiet. It wasn’t a place I would have imagined Nessie would be staying - she dressed too expensive, and spent a lot of money, at least when she was a study abroad.

“(Y/N)!” Ness ran up to me the second I walked out of my car. “I’m so happy you’re finally here! I missed you so much!” Nessie’s embrace was so tight and overwhelming, but warm and welcoming.

I took a step back to look at her. She hadn’t changed at all. She had the same sweet face, wavy curls, and bright smile as she always did.

“It’s nice to see you, too, Nessie. I missed you, too.” I answered back wholeheartedly, but the look on my face did not match my sincerity.

“Hey, boo, what happened? You don’t seem happy to be here.” Ness furrowed her eyebrows, looking at me worriedly.

“Well.. Can I vent to you a bit?”

“Of course, you can. Come on, let’s go inside and you can tell me everything.” She took my hand in hers, and she led me into the house.

The same house that looked old and worn out on the outside was nothing like its interior. It was so warm and welcoming, beautifully decorated with warm, earthly colors, and was actually much bigger than it looked from the outside. Ness sat me down on one of the couches in the living room.

“Now, tell me, what’s got you so upset?” She smiled encouragingly.

“Well, someone almost crashed on my car. I was driving slow, not just because of the police, but, you know, the roads were steep and I was scared. He came behind me. He was running really fast, and he kept honking and flashing his lights. And I got scared, but you know me, I wouldn’t just let this asshole do whatever he wants. So, I stepped on my brakes, he stepped on his. He was really mad, he moved past me, and cut me off. He almost sent me off-road! So, I just showed him my open palm as he drove away. I still feel the adrenaline and the fear run through me. It felt like a near-death experience.”

Ness was looking at me shocked. “Because it was! (Y/N), you have to be careful around here. Did you, at least, notice his face or anything? Do you remember his car, his car plate?”

“Well, I did notice him in my mirror. He was…handsome, but an asshole nonetheless.”

“I’m sorry for that, sweety. I hope you are better now. Would you like to meet the rest of my family?”

“I thought you said your actual family would be away for the week.”

The saga of "who is the knight" appears to be continuing and I am watching from the sidelines but I'd like to point out the difference: Gorilla, the main argument, fits only on a basic surface level. ML, and Astruc in particular, are masters of subtext and foreshadowing, ESPECIALLY when it comes to the GDV lore- and all of that indicates that Felix is intended to be the knight. Some people need to go back to Language Arts because they must've failed their reading comprehension assignments

not to mention that this piece of info doesn't really matter if you go with the gorilla option but it puts MANY THINGS into perspective if it's felix. it feels like a pretty random thing to mention in the scene about felix's existence. obviously gabriel acquiring wealth implied he'd be able to hire a bodyguard for adrien, why is it deserving of its own special mention? ESPECIALLY when in the next episode we come back to knight-marinette whose goal in the story was saving adrien from gabriel, and does that ring any bells?

EVEN in the possibility we're wrong, the hints are there and it's the objectively more interesting route. the former is nothing but an unneeded explanation for the gorilla's presence that we could already piece by ourselves, the latter adds an insane layer to felix's story and draws yet another parallel between him and marinette . come on now

Weird question but i'm curious! What's the granblue event/character that you think is underrated and which overrated?

oh that's tough to say

i'm a bit of a Basic Bitch in general as far as events are concerned, and i don't dislike things easily. I love a lot of the popular things, so it's hard to really pinpoint stuff outside of popular things....

and unfortunately i've seen some petty sides of the fandoms that made me so angry that my answers could be very surprising without knowing the shitshow the release of those events have been.

under cut:

for example i adored Seeds of Redemption on its release but literally everyone and everything were hating on it, it was very frustrating to read and watch. I also remember a significant backlash after Strength to Wield came out which still annoys me lol. (the dragon knights saga is popular because of its characters but everytime an event comes out people complain about the plot dragging on from one event to the next which is a bit annoying).

i also really liked some more low stakes events (Drusilla's event come to mind, the latest Tyra's event too, i though the latest Barawa one was nice too) and then going on twitter i mostly saw people talk about how they weren't good, or were boring and stuff and i'm just. so so tired with the cynicism of the fandom in general. I feel like a lot of people don't actually want to bother engaging with the events and mostly just read them by a force of habits, but it becomes really tiring to read their reactions.

meanwhile, i adore wmtsb and i would always talk about it and everything, but it's an understatement to say it genuinely clouded people's mind on what a granblue event should be and i think the elitism of some wmtsb fans about how those are the "only good events" to be one of the worst thing ever and one of the reason that while i'd love a continuation for my own sake, i would also not be disappointed if there is never any new content for it.

also in general i don't care much for Zodiac related content. I like some of the generals, but their contents generally don't interest me much.

In term of characters, I guess i could apply the same logic to wmtsb characters even though i also adore them lmao. Also probably the dragons as well, but it's mostly striking because of how much Granblue is banking on it with merch and stuff, so they're always in focus and it's a bit overwhelming, even while liking them. I also really don't like Catura so there's that lmao.

in term of underrated characters, i've been vindicated with the years so it's hard to say. Randall and Feather were characters i adored from their R/SR days back when they were actually more underrated (well, Randall was, Feather always appealed to a niche) -- but Marionette Stars changed that, i think? so i don't know how much it still counts.

Also likewise for Troue tho on this one i'm a bit annoyed lmao, i loved him since Marionette Stars pt 1 (i didn't have his unit then so it was my first encounter with him, and like. I genuinely adore amnesiac characters who are terrified of getting their memories back because they're terrified of who they used to be. I adore this archetype), and then when pt 2 came out, Felix won a bit in popularity and i saw people say "oh Troue was so boring but now that Felix is in the game it's sooo much more interesting" and it kinda irks me a little. if you didn't love him at his "terrified of who he used to be" you don't deserve him at his "and indeed who he used to be is a little freak". Like it frustrates me because in a way is he still underrated? Esp since people only pay attention to him because of Felix now? this is sooo frustrating to me.

I'll also slot Catherine as underrated mostly because Granblue itself still isn't doing anything with her character and it's so frustrating to only have FE as content for her.

All in all though i really generally like Granblue's writing, so it's not like i can be mad when something meets its audience, and for the most part there's nothing i really dislike. I may have things i like more than the norm, but i don't generally feel like people don't like them at all in a sense?

but there are loud parts of the fandoms that manage to be on their high horses and annoying about what they prefer and it stains their saga by association. Unfortunately since it's also one of my favorite saga, it's really even much more frustrating to me to say "yeah the thing i adore is overrated".

All in all, it's also just one of the major reasons i try to not touch the fandom. The Granblue Fandom has a tendency to dunk on anything Granblue does because "ahah we're stuck here forever and we don't even have fun" type of jokey mentality that i absolutely despise. And to me this is fully depressing. And i don't want those people to influence the way i look at things, so i prefer to ignore them instead.

So i try not to think about what people actually like in this fandom. I'm in my corner, i tend to like things pretty freely, if it's popular things, nice, if not, then it's me and those things against the world.

But while i def have answers to that, i don't want to think about the fandoms "liking things the wrong way". In the end, everyone likes the things they like. I just would ask them to stop acting so high and mighty about the stuff they like and dislike.
