💖 The Fairy Godmother’s Apprentice  - a sapphic fairy tale Visual Novel and Dating Sim. 💖
When the fairy godmother goes away on vacation leaving you in charge , will you make sure stories stay on their paths? or will you change your fate and risk it all for romance....
This is a fake dating game, its not real unfortunately. But maybe some day, in the future! I just love womens, and fairytales, and dating sims; so this is a culmination of all three! (with a fun emphasis on hot butch ladies, we need more of them okay! the mermaid is muscular and hot too okay, i swear).
Any Australian game devs wanna make this happen? Come at me, I’m ready to go batshit bananas working on this as a real game,.

Oh my god what anon said about asha and sabrino like YES, I don't know if you read wish rewrites but a lot of them just completely ease asha's saba from experience, like there are ones when asha just doesn't ask about her saba's wish and Im like "y'all really think asha is selfish for wanting her grandfather to have his wish huh😭?" But how do they not see that it would be weird if asha didn't do anything for her saba's wish ON HIS BIRTHDAY!
The rewrites probably erase Sabino so they don't have to address that Starboy originally resembled a young version of Saba. You know, because they're so busy shipping him with Asha to stop and realize how strange that is.
Asha cares about Sabino's wish? "OMG she's so selfish wanting to use her apprenticeship to get her Saba's wish granted!" (Ignoring that movie plainly says she cares about *both*, and also, how is that selfish? Getting Saba's wish granted isn't for her own personal gain.)
But if Asha didn't care/didn't ask about the wish I bet those same people would be like "OMG how could she not at least ask???? She's right there close to the one person who could grant it and she's not even thinking about her family and her poor 100-year-old grandpa????"
Also I just realized. In addition to my previous discussion on Saba's wish (and Asha), the end credits scene of the movie implies that Saba wrote When You Wish Upon a Star. So not only was Asha his wish personified the entire time, but when his wish is returned to him, he goes on to write... a song that inspires people to do what his beloved granddaughter did: wish on a star.

⚠️Spoilers for Wish⚠️
While I am excited for/ planning to watch Disney’s Wish, I honestly wish (heh) they had gone with the original plan for Amaya’s character and made her a villain alongside Magnífico.
Tumblr media
Like, I genuinely think it could’ve been cool to see them as partners in crime and be inspired by classic Disney villain traits: vain, narcissistic, power-hungry, cruel, and enjoyable to hate.
I could’ve seen their relationship as something similar to Scarlett and Herb Overkill from the Minions movie, where it’s two married villains who are clearly terrible people, but are still heads over heels for each other.
I’ve read the golden book and kids book of the movie that some people have uploaded on YouTube, and while those books tend to omit things from the actual film, they give us a basic synopsis of the overall story.
(SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE BELOW)
——————
Essentially, the story ends with Magnífico being sucked into his staff, Amaya rules Rosas and Star gives Asha a wishing wand (essentially making her a Fairy Godmother sort of character mixed with elements of Snow White)
It’s a pretty basic, cut-and-dry story and I’m not saying I expected Shakespeare or whatever, but imagine how much better the story would’ve been with both Magnífico and Amaya as the villains:
The story could’ve been that the kingdom of Rosas was ruled by Magnífico and Amaya, who both seemed charming and generous on the outside, but were greedy and self-serving on the inside. They essentially didn’t care for anyone but each other.
I’d also add Amaya’s cat Charo from the concept art book, cause it think it would be cute that these two are absolute shitheads, but are still cat parents who spoil their cat and take it everywhere.
Anyways… Magnífico, like in the actual story, only granted the wishes that benefited him (and his wife), while the majority of wishes were stashed away in his tower.
Asha wants to become Magnífico’s apprentice and when introduced to the wishes, wants to grant her grandfather’s wish and finds the kings (and queens) whole wish-granting system unfair to the people (again, like the canon material).
The story would then go like the actual movie: Asha makes a wish on a Star and Magnífico sees her as a threat to his power and hunts her down (only with Amaya by his side).
I’d like to think that while Magnífico has his moments where his true personality shines, I feel like Amaya wouldn’t truly snap until the very end, having a little more composure than her husband (similarly to the Evil Queen or Maleficent or Ursula)
In the end, the King and Queen are defeated and banished into Magnífico’s staff. Asha is named the new Princess of Rosas (or Queen, whichever you prefer), and she actually joins the Disney Princess lineup and it’s not just advertisement. Like the real story, Star gives her a wand and Asha becomes the new wish-granter.
It’s not perfect, but I think it may have been more interesting and entertaining to see rather than the typical director the creators went with the story
These are just my thoughts, however, I’m still gonna watch the movie and see I think about it.

Okay, lets play a bit. Here we have:
OgAlbeCale Cinderella AU:
• Alberu is Cinderella. He already has the evil step-mother. Robbit is Anastasia and the third prince is Drizella.
• For AU purposes, og!Cale is Prince Charming, of course, and the Henituse family is the royal family.
• Rok Soo, Rosalyn and Choi Han are the mices. Lock is the dog and CJS and LSH are birds.
• Eruhaben is the fairy godmother. (Pendrick would be his apprentice).
Add what you think that happens.

I never really thought about it before, but John was throwing bombs around earlier, on this planet covered in oil. He's honestly pretty lucky that it took this long for it to catch fire.
Is this... is this fixable? Has Jack just destroyed another planet?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The whole world revolves around its Heir.
Tumblr media
Alright. What do you have to say for yourself?
AG: I was the one who put you to sleep. [...] EB: you can do that? AG: Yes, that seems to 8e the limit to what I can do to your primitive species.
For now, at least. I'm sure you're working on it.
...hey, never mind her psionics. Can Vriska steal luck between sessions? Because that would arguably be worse.
EB: why would you put me to sleep and put me in this predicament? AG: John, soon you will understand that you are meant to rise to gr8tness. AG: This can't possi8ly happen unless you are challenged.
Again - Sburb is challenging enough without you making things worse. Exactly how miserable do you want John to be, before you're finally satisfied?
Tumblr media
Oh, right.
There isn't an upper limit. You're just going to keep pushing and pushing and pushing until someone who cares about John realizes what you're doing, and puts a stop to it.
EB: if you're seeing my future, and you know those things are the outcome, then why are you going back and… EB: i guess, involving yourself with these events? see what i mean? [...] AG: You are going to 8ecome a gr8 hero, that much is sure. AG: 8ut I want to 8e the one responsi8le for it!
Well, this is nonsense - but it's very Vriska nonsense.
I'm reminded of the Discworld novel, Witches Abroad. The villain of the story is a fairy godmother, who uses her magic to turn the people around her into characters from various fairy tales - Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty and the like. These people are then forced to follow the 'plot' of the story they've been shoved into, whether they like it or not.
She's accrued plenty of wealth and influence from doing so, but her primary motivation is to feel important. Lily derives enormous satisfaction from being the cause of the stories around her - of being the one behind the curtain, the fulcrum around which the narrative turns. At the end of the day, it's pure ego.
Vriska is the same. She's trying to mold John's journey into The Thief's Apprentice, a story with herself at the center. She doesn't really care about this action's effect on the timeline, and she'd certainly never admit that she didn't really have any agency in this event.
All that matters is that, as far as Vriska is concerned, this is her story now.

I’m a bit late on the wish question train, but do you have any thoughts on *what* Asha actually is? We know that she gives tours, everyone knows her, her dad is a philosopher, and she’s best friends with the 7 that work in the king’s kitchens, but WHY is she so important from the beginning? Idk
Tumblr media
At the end of the film, Asha becomes the fairy godmother for the kingdom of Rosas. I’m not sure if they meant to imply that she becomes THE Fairy Godmother of Cinderella fame though because the two look nothing alike.
As for why Asha is so important prior to her story’s conclusion… that’s never made clear?? It’s one of many (many) flaws in Wish’s writing. I was so confused as to why the queen was cheering for Asha specifically to become the king’s apprentice??? Why was she so invested in Asha when it sounds like they aren’t that intimate with one another?? It certainly doesn’t seem like Asha has done anything that noteworthy for the kingdom to earn the queen’s attention or to even make it this far in the interview process to meet the king. Why does she qualify for one of the most prestigious jobs in the land? Asha doesn’t seem particularly competent or even mature enough for the role of being a sorcerer’s apprentice.
Maybe people seem to know her and like her “because she cares too much” (something they blatantly tell us instead of showing us when we’re first introduced to her)?? It could also be that since she works as a tour guide, many people know her as the face that first welcomed them to Rosas. Even so 💦 that’s pretty weak reasoning as to why she’s so important. It’s not like royalty irl know their country’s tour guides by name?? Then I thought maybe her dad’s a prominent philosopher?? But if that’s the case then how come he doesn’t have any important works or permeating thoughts left behind for the community? How come no one ever talks about Asha’s dad or his contributions??? It feels like she was made “important” without giving a solid reason as to why. We don’t even know why her friends are her friends.
Throughout the movie Asha doesn’t really change much or go through a big arc either?? She is a static character that was always against the king’s ideals and in the end she was proven right and got what she wanted from the start 💀
One review I heard suggested that Asha’s “importance” in the story would make more sense if she was a literal princess (Magnifico’s daughter). Then we could also get an interesting story of a child rebelling against her father for her people. An early concept for Wish also featured Queen Amaya as a villain; she and Magnifico were going to be a bad guy couple. It would have been so interesting to see villains in love and their daughter having to stand up against them 😔

honestly I think I would've liked to see asha start out kinda selfish. yes, she is only trying to become the king's apprentice to get her family's wishes granted. no, she doesn't really care about magic, apprenticeship, the wishes of the kingdom at large. but over the course of the movie she starts to see the value in them and wants to see more people have their wishes granted and by the end she appreciates the gravity of being made a fairy godmother and is willing to spend her life helping others' wishes become reality. behold! a character arc

Lizards and Pumpkins
AU Young Leto Atreides x fem reader
Summary: A ball is being held in the hopes that Leto Atreides will find an eligible maiden to marry as he is expected to become the next Duke of Caladan.
*This storyline will be similar to Disney’s Live Action Cinderella (2015). There the dress you will be wearing is like that one.
Author's note: This is my first fanfic ever. Therefore, please be kind about any feedback you all may have. Other than that, enjoy and let’s see where it goes from here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When you get to the bottom of the steps, you notice the man from the forest you met a while back walking towards you. However, you had know idea he was the Leto Atreides of Caladan. You had been told that he was an apprentice in training but you had no idea you were speaking to the next Duke in line.
At this moment, you two are face to face with each other.
“It's you, isn't it?” Leto asks.
“Just so. Your grace…”, you respond and curtsy to him.
“If I may... that is... it would give me the greatest pleasure, if you would do me the honor of letting me lead you through this... the first…”, Leto struggles to say what’s on his mind due to being in a daze by your beauty.
“Dance?” You ask, smiling sweetly at him.
“Yes, dance. That's it.” He finally gets out.
While you and Leto start dancing, you notice the people surrounding you both.
You whisper to him, “They're all looking at you.”
At that statement, Leto smiles and says, “Believe me, they're all looking at you.”
——————————————————————
Leto pushes you gently on the swing in the secluded garden he shows you as you both carry on having meaningful chats.
A clink is heard, and you realize your slipper is off your foot. Upon noticing this, Leto stops pressing you, gets on her knees, and places the slipper on your foot.
Tumblr media
With awe, he asks, "It's made of glass?"
"Why not?" you ask him, grinning.
Then, as though he wants to kiss you, he leans in close. "Will you please tell me your true identity?"
After giving it some thought, you say, "If I do, I think everything might be different."
Leto says, "I don't understand," with a perplexed expression. “At least, could you tell me your name?”
Just as you prepare to inform Leto, the clock chimes 11:59. That's when you recall what the fairy godmother said. You say as you turn to face Leto. "I must go now. It is difficult to describe. Pumpkins, lizards, and other things. You tell him you'll never forget it and thank him again for a fantastic night.
Leto murmurs, "Lizards and Pumpkins," as he watches you dash out of the garden. With a smile, he chooses to follow you.
One of your glass slippers slips on the palace steps as you walk to your carriage. Even if at first you want to pick up, you change your mind as you notice Leto approach you and climb inside the carriage.
Tumblr media
When the carriage pulls out of the palace, you see Leto stoop to retrieve your slipper. You grin as you recall the amazing evening you spent with Leto. Despite your feeling that this is the final time you will ever see him.
Tumblr media
You have no idea that Leto is planning to locate you. In one kind or another.

Look, I didn't actually hate the new Wish movie. I didn't love it, either, but I didn't hate it. Some of the songs were catchy, the more subtle easter eggs were fun to recognise, there was some fun ideas in the magic system.
The thing was, the story had bones in there to be really good, and they missed it. I'm not even necessarily talking about the original concept, about the Star being humanoid (although that would have helped a lot - not even necessarily as Asha's love interest, just that it would have made the Star an actual character instead of a prop). I think what annoyed me more was King Magnifico being set up as well intentioned, and then that was completely forgotten.
He was sympathetic. His goal was to keep his kingdom from burning down. He was traumatised and trying not to let history repeat. And then the movie even went out of its way to inform us that the book - the book he only opened out of desperation - was corrupting, that it was a direct result of a curse that Magnifico was getting crueller, that this curse was permanent, and just... forget about it. Whoops, villain is defeated, toss him in the dungeon without a further thought.
Instead, you know what I think would have done wonders for making the plot more cohesive and fitting together the themes, plus actually tying together that whole "A wish is the most powerful magic!" lore, and even giving what should have been a protagonist but was kinda just a torch a real, actual scene?
Have Star grant Magnifico's first, truest wish.
Not directly, click his fingers fix it. That's against the theme of working for your wish. But have Star pull out of the pile of wishes the one that Magnifico made twenty, thirty years ago when he first pulled up on this little island and put down the first bricks. The wish that no magician, no evil would ever harm this kingdom.
And then, while Magnifico is frozen, staring at his own wish for something more, he looks at the green flames around him and actually, honestly sees them.
They said that curse was unbreakable, but they also said that a wish is the most powerful magic that exists, and this is a star that came down solely to grant it. The wish glows brighter, the green stretches for them, but Star is there and the wish wins. Curse breaks. The world glows again, and there's just a king, collapsed and human again, and Asha is the only one willing to sit next to him as he stares at his kingdom.
And then, just to properly tie the movie back to the beginning, Asha gets the job as the apprentice that she'd been interviewing for. She can keep the wand, sure, fine, but what she needs is to actually study. Her new wish is to be able to help people make their wishes come true, and neither the stars nor the king are going to click their fingers and make that happen for her. Magic takes years to learn, but it turns out Magnifico is actually a pretty good teacher.
If you wanted to finish the movie on her 18th birthday that got mentioned several times as upcoming but never became relevant, that would be thematic. Maybe she makes the wish in private, glowing, pulls it out of her chest to see herself as a fairy godmother, before she puts the wish back into her chest to go back and work on making it real.

⇢ ⁺ SYNOPSIS ˖ I wonder if maybe one day, when I'm a Fairy Godmother, I can go back and visit the princessess again. ಇ. Tumblr media Tumblr media
﹒﹒⟢﹒PREVIEW ˖
“Ah, could it be my dear Sprites turned into little mischievous Imps again?..”
Yuu wonders, observing a mysterious mirror which just appeared in the Main Hall. Princesses portraits look as magnificent as they always were, and the crystals above golden inwrought mirror frames seem normal.
She most certainly did not cast any wrong spells, and yet her magic wand starts resonating with strange energy waves coming from a new obscure mirror. Could it be that the princesses are in danger again?
∘₊✧─ And always remember, young lady… If they’d lost all their faith, you couldn’t be there. And there you are!
This is right. There’s someone waiting for her to make their dreams come true.
Yuu sees a hand in a welcoming gesture, a grip on her magic wand tightens, and she makes a step forward without any hesitation.
Every miracle takes a little time, after all.

— NOTES ˖
It’s alright if you haven't played Disney Princess: My Fairytale Adventure because I’m here to explain!
The game dwells on Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Rapunzel, Beauty and the Beast, The Princess and the Frog Disney movies. Actually there’s another game called Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey where MC enters The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Aladdin, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beauty and the Beast Disney realms.
It’s implied MC knows the plot of the disney movies. In this work Yuu knows all the Disney movies existing up to today. I’ll also make a lot of references to not only listed but other disney movies too!  This is an original take on RSA and a great part of the fic will be devoted to RSA and its characters I created with the help of my dear friend. But NRC remains the crucial part of the story.
Yuu wields a magic wand, and it’s pretty much similar to the original game except for the fact I changed the design.
A lot of magic study! Yuu is quite a remarkable sorceress but she’s not imbalanced.
Yuu doesn’t remember her past, why and when she became the Fairy Godmother’s apprentice, but I’ll dwell on it as the story progresses.
And finally, I hope you’ll have fun reading this ^^ I may be slow with writing chapters but I hope I’ll manage to post one chapter per month!

Happy Halloween!🎃👻
This is Orson and Hannah from the Fairy Godmother Halloween Spooktacular TV specials. My headcanon is that after they got a little older, they started dating. And once high school started, Scary Godmother started training Hannah as her apprentice and teaching her all the autumn prep duties (baking leaves, knitting cobwebs, etc) Orson and Hannah both enjoyed this because, among other things, it meant Hannah spent more time on the Fright Side😂 The idea with this illustration is that they’ve decided to wear their old clothes/costumes to the Halloween Party at Scary Godmother’s.

Be Careful What You Wish For
A Rewritten Synopsis of Wish
-The role of apprentice is basically the chance to learn magic and become the next ruler of Rosas.
-Magnifico has a point about responsible wish granting but his motives come from a place of fear and suspicion more than anything else.
-He’s also got a temper that he’s done well to hide with his charm and ego. However, there’s a reason he rules the way he does and the scars of the past have left their mark.
-When Asha is rejected for questioning the King, she’s upset that she’s lost her chance to learn magic and grant her Grandfather’s wish but seeing all those wishes left ungranted has left her feeling hopeless but defiant, so she makes her own wish on a star.
-Star answers and starts the whole thing by giving Asha a magic wand and the power to grant wishes
-Starting with her own friends and family Asha starts granting wishes left and right making a huge obvious mess of things. (Like the giant chicken)
-When Magnifico finds out, he confiscates the wand and throws Asha in prison. Now he is left to try and fix things himself
-However, now that someone else has stepped on his toes, the people are starting to question their King about his right to rule the way he does.
-Some even demand their wishes, the source of his power back and he is forced to retreat back inside the castle to stew.
-The Queen is clearly the wiser ruler so she could be a sort of mentor figure to Asha.
-She goes down to the dungeon to question Asha and give her some much needed advice.
-She explains that being a good ruler doesn’t mean pleasing everyone by giving into their every want and desire. It’s about providing what they need to survive and succeed so they can do the rest on their own.
-Although the King performs magic and grants wishes, the Queen works hard to help the people of Rosas who need it most. Helping them with their struggles, supporting their dreams, and encouraging them to succeed on their own merits. One of those people is Asha’s best friend Dahlia, the castle baker.
-Asha learns that whilst making people’s dreams come true is all well and good. It’s also important that people put in the work to reach their goals. Nor should they put their own selfish desires above other people’s needs and safety.
- This would be a slightly different version of I’m a Star
-The Queen lets Asha go free where she reunites with her friends who apologize for their reckless wishes making. The Queen leaves to go talk to her husband and smooth things over.
-When the Queen arrives at her husband’s study she finds him reading the forbidden book and practicing dark magic. Scared and heartbroken she tries to convince him to stop but he traps her in a magic mirror and proceeds to terrorize the city of Rosas back into compliance
-Asha seeing how things have gone terribly wrong rallies her friends to save the kingdom, freeing the wishes ending with a magical duel between her and Magnifico.
-In the end Magnifico is defeated, Amaya is freed and Asha becomes the new fairy godmother of the kingdom. Working with the queen, her friends and family to make Rosas an even more magical place.

Watched Disenchanted last night, and the entire movie is like 95% easter-eggs to other Disney works and the actor's past roles, and I love it.
Like yeah, theres lots of both Cinderella and Snow White imagery with the plot of Wicked Stepmothers and Evil Queens that you'd expect. But then there's stuff like a row of potions that includes Kuzco's Poison and Alice's 'Drink Me' vial. Three of the minor characters are dressed like Flora, Fauna and Meriwether, while another two are dressed like Anastasia and Drizella Tremaine. Theres a whole scene with living objects doing the chores like in both Sleeping Beauty and the Mickey Sorcerer's Apprentice. The baby is named after Sofia The First. A line about 'you can't have a story with multiple villians there!' *wink at camera* in reference to both the reoccurring crossovers between Disney's fairytale TV show series' and the Descendants franchise. A 'lets steal fairy godmother's wand' sub-plot (ok, not THE Fairy Godmother's wand, but an all powerful magic wand given by a godmother) Someone mentions Fantasia at one point. One of Idina's songs is like 80% references to both Frozen and Wicked with lines like "As a ray of sunshine melts a cave of ice" and "It's like soaring on a magic broomstick To the sky above". They climb up a clock tower and stop the hands of the clock to delay a midnight deadline.
I could probably rewatch it 500x and go on for hours trying to list all the easter-eggs and still not get them all. It's wonderful

PRINCESS ELAINE PENDRAGON OF CAMELOT
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
universe: descendants
name & meaning: elaine is the name of various arthurian characters, but she’s not based off any of them, or any other arthurian character, because this is descendants, and the existence of artie already ignores arthurian lore. so i do what i want.
age & birthday: she doesn’t know her exact birthday, but she assigned herself July 17, and she’s probably 15-16 (same age as ben)
pronouns: she/her
sexuality: haven’t figured it out yet, but she’s not straight
height: 5’7
face claim: mackenzie foy
powers & species: she’s a fay, and her powers include: teleportation, shapeshifting, spells/runes, and seeing.
mbti: enfp, the campaigner
background: she was born to two fay from avalon, but didn’t grow up there. when she four, when near the border of camelot and auradon (camelot is not part of auradon, because i refuse to believe every fairy tale land is part of it), her parents were killed by anti-magic extremists. she was later rescued by merlin who was in the area for narrative reasons, i guess, who then took her back to caerleon (where arthur holds court). originally, she was going to be sent to avalon to live and train her magic, but in that time she grew attached to arthur, and arthur grew attached to her, so she was adopted instead. however, she’s not the heir — artie, who i renamed loholt, is, because he’s related to arthur by blood, and was already born when she was adopted.
when she was 14, she was sent to auradon as a sort of peace offering? basically, if she apprentices under fairy godmother, and does well, camelot will be left alone. this is not the first, or last, time they have done this.
residence: caerleon or avalon
affiliation: camelot and the round table
weapons & fighting style: uses a sword, and also her magic
hobbies: reading, sword fighting, riding
disney song i associate with them: let me make you proud from tangled the series
miscellaneous:
- wears only tunics and trousers, mostly to spite auradon, who are far more modern than camelot
- i’m still figuring out how i want to work arthuriana into descendants so things are subject to change
- talks a lot, and talks quickly
- holds herself with a lot of confidence, but is actually anxious all the time
- she has nightmares that double as prophetic visions, and they’re often very distressing. she has no idea how to control them, so she usually just doesn’t sleep.
- technically her roommate is jordan, but jordan lives in her lamp, so she has the room to herself. in one of my aus, she rooms with claudine.
- committing treason against auradon is on her bucket list
- her and maddy would be besties if they met
- her current best friend is her cousin, gawain. i’m still figuring out how to disney-ify him, so all i’ll say is they never get away with anything ever.
- struggles to manage her temper, especially in auradon, but she does her best
- i’m not sure if this actually fits in with auradon, but given my other headcanons for how they work, i think it fits. to keep her in line, fairy godmother makes her wear iron when she gets too defiant, or is failing her lessons. which is yknow, deadly for fay. audrey and jane figured out how to remove it for her, so as long as fg never finds out, she’s fine.
- fairy godmother also tries to train her to do magic she literally cannot do, because they’re too different types of fay
- she tries to present herself as being perfect, as being less than perfect could mean war. she is failing. miserably.
- very, very competitive
- had a hard time controlling her magic growing up, but now only struggles with her visions
- she idolizes her father, which leads to a lot disappointment, and is the root of some of her perfectionism
- really likes birds, except for archimedes. she thinks he’s annoying.
