What are like good AIs for making up inspirations for writing and such? I was trying to make ChatGPT fulfill this function, and like it's good at coming up with names or riddles but actual stories or setting ideas are bad. Not even bad as in nonsensical or lack human touch, bad as in they look like the most generic thing possible
Well, before AIs there was this website, with all sorts of generators for names, NPCs, even random maps and solar systems and more for different settings. It even has a free Markov Name Generator where you can just put a list of names or words and it generates random names from them! I still use it for generating names when I feel lazy (I'm not a good conlanger)
But my favorite right now is one you can find here, @statsbot by @reachartwork. You can add the bot on Discord and ask them for a lot of commands, like creating you a statblock for NPCs or characters (I asked them for example for stats for the Daft Punk guys in a Cyberpunk campaign), a skeleton of an adventure or dungeon with random encounters, random monsters for all kinds of systems, descriptions of settings and places, or my VERY favorite, /elaborate, where you send them a little worldbuilding prompt (for example, "a kobold merchant republic", "a pantheon of fire deities") and it gives you a whole worldbuilding blurb that you can use as you want.

The outputs are very interesting and creative, I don't even play RPGs that much, I just feed it prompts and see what it comes up with. I think the author is working on a solo version which can remember previous prompts which could be very useful if you are building a setting and want to develop some stuff but don't know how. Do give them a tip if you use it!

Announcing Avatar: Year of the Dragon Weekend!!!
What is Avatar: Year of the Dragon?
Avatar: Year of the Dragon is a fun, casual, very unserious three-day 18+ NSFW shipping event for any Fire Nation or firebending character from the Avatar universe in honor of the Year of the Dragon and the "dragons" in their pants.
When is the event?
February 9-11 to coincide with Lunar New Year on February 10th.
How does it work?
Mods will release some sexy prompts in advance of the date to get your creative juices flowing. Use these to make something steamy with any eligible Avatar character/ship to post on the date. Tag this blog and #avataryearofthedragon and we'll reblog it. That's it!
What counts as a creation?
Anything! Fics, art, playlists, moodboards, screencap edits, headcanons. As long as it's your own work (no AI please) and fits the theme, we'd love to see it.
Who counts as a Fire Nation character?
We're erring on the side of inclusive for this event so that everyone gets to play. As long as your ship involves somebody with some justifiable connection to the Fire Nation or firebending, you're good. Yes, Avatars count as firebenders. Yes, United Republic citizens with Fire Nation heritage count as Fire Nation. Yes, characters you headcanon as being in whole or in part from the Fire Nation count as Fire Nation. Yes, your fanon and OC characters with Fire Nation roots or firebending can be used. And yes, if you have two waterbenders make passionate love on the Fire Nation throne we'll probably sigh, roll our eyes and look the other way as we reblog that, too. Just embrace the spirit of the event and have fun.
Does my content have to be smutty?
This is an 18+ NSFW event run by silly horny people who want to see more silly horny things in fandom. If you want to bring your gen fic in here I guess you can, but why would you?
Do you allow Legend of Korra and characters from the comics?
Sure do. I guarantee you General Iroh II gets laid in this event.
What about WLW ships or characters who don't have a "dragon"?
That's fine! Bring your lovely ladies and let them get it on. All genders welcome. No actual pants dragons need be involved.
What about single characters having some alone time with their "dragon"?
Yes.
What about single characters having some alone time with an actual dragon, like Ran and Shaw or Druk?
OMG just write smut you guys it's not that hard. Dragons can play matchmaker but not be part of the ship unless they're human. No bestiality please.
So do you guys actually have any rules then?
We do!
Don't be a dick. This means ship and let ship, don't like don't read, no kink-shaming, no forcing your headcanons on others, etc. We want this to be fun and positive experience for all.
Like the event says, 18+. This means you and your characters both. Aging up is fine as long as it's stated/tagged. If you have a problem with that, this isn't the event for you.
No incest or non-con. We all love consenting adults here. Background mentions are fine as long as it's not between the main ship. Actual dragons cannot consent, sorry.
Tag accurately and spoiler/label all NSFW content using tumblr's community labels.

The weather here has drastically changed going from way too hot to function, reaching at least 40°C every day, to snow a couple of mountains over from where I live. Don't get me wrong I am starting to feel ready for autumn, but if we skip the season and go straight to winter and snow I will physically fight whatever snow god is responsable for it. On Sunday I went to the mountains and it was rainy and misty, and it felt like autumn was finally here, and then boom snow the day after. The weird weather changes have been effecting me ngl. The past two days I have felt weak to say the least. They have been very lazy days, and yet I feel exhausted. I have a bit of anxiety brewing in me for getting back into the uni routine, and that is probably a big cause for all of this, but even if I wanted to get back now into all of that I couldn't. There's construction workers in my house for the rest of the week at least and the noise would make any attempt at productivity useless. I have my therapy session at the end of the week, so that might help me find some clarity,balance and motivation. I should probably get back into journaling a bit, but the thought feels overwhelming, maybe I should look for some journaling prompts? (If you have any suggestions my inbox is always open, I'd love to get some help with this finding my way back to journaling).
Chill hobbit summer activities of the last few days (idk how long the summer will last, so I guess I'll have to brainstorm a new name for my hobbit autumn! Send in suggestions if you have!) :
Reading first thing in the morning
Irish practice on duolingo (and I am doing more than one review during the day? Look at me go)
Went to the mountains to enjoy amazing food (and my stomach collaborated so well? I am very proud of my belly after this summer)
Made more crochet leaves
Finished listening to an audiobook I did not end up enjoying but whatever
Started setting up my bujo for September (I made a coverpage and the calendar and I decided this month I will have a "to do" list as well as a "want to do" list)
Slowly getting into The Dragon Republic by RF Kuang (I have definitely been reading less in the past week but I am happy to take my time with this book, and now that I am over the 100 page mark I feel like I am really back imto this world)
Thinking about cooking myself a comfort meal this evening

Gonna cheat a little and do one per fandom because this is heavily slated towards Mass Effect Andromeda just from age lol
Sleep it off - Mass Effect, Shepard/Aria T'Loak, Shep gets drunk at Purgatory and Aria babysits her
Little steps to the side - FHR, Chargestep/Argentstep/Chargentstep, currently 55? little one-shot fics, usually prompts, sometimes tiny ideas I get in my own head
Space snippets - Mass Effect Andromeda, Jaal/Ryder, a few prompt one-shots that picked up big steam when it finally went Explicit lol.
Bottles of Thedas - Dragon Age Inquisition, Solavellan, 20 short one-shots inspired by the collection of booze you can pick up off the ground throughout the game (minus the Warden mixes)
Business and Pleasure - Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2, Exile/Luxa, a re-write/better ending for Luxa gift fic for an exchange

I am absolutely terrible at responding to comments because I see them in my inbox and I'm like oh yeah I'll reply to that later when I have time and then.... six months go by... the shame happens... I love every comment I get and I am so sorry alkdsfjoajsdfl

Ehhhhhhhhhh most of my fics are in-between things, not really stand-alones on their own. Probably the one I milked the hardest for the ending of it specifically is Words not spoken (FHR, Chargestep, Ortega visits Riley's apartment post-Heartbreak)
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Again.... in-between things... the Mass Effect Andromeda and TWC fics are largely feel good fluff, so most of them?
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not that I'm aware of, lol
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Typically fluffy and/or hurt/comfort character exploration, although sometimes I feel a need to go for a whump

I haven't written a crossover since I was 13. I'm 37 now. I don't remember. It was pre-AO3 time for sure. XD

Not that I'm aware of.

Me, staring at my endless folder of WIPs, some of which having not been touched in five years

Character explorations, snappy dialogue, short and sweet and punchy

Writing long-haul, we're here for a good time, not a long time

Love it when other people do it! Very rarely do it myself!

Megaman X back in.................. 2000-ish? Very bad self-insert script fic lol
20. Favorite fic you've written?
I think Time doesn't heal (FHR, Chargestep, all the Rangers and Riley experiencing the 3rd Heartbreak anniversary) is one of my biggest brain moments for writing fic, but Bottles of Thedas (mentioned above) has a special place in my heart for being the first and perhaps only large project I've finished.

New Fic: And If You Have Your Way with Me Tonight?
Could not get either character to behave in this so finally was like FINE I am TIRED and this fic is late so if you won't stop pining and move to another location to kiss then you have to have sex right there in the chair. So they did. Go figure.
Irosami arranged marriage for a belated @avatar-year-of-the-dragon day 2 prompt: Then have your way with me.
Summary: Desperate to save Republic City, Asami Sato and General Iroh agree to quickly marry to secure the support of the Fire Nation in the fight against the invading Earth Empire. In the fog of war and the busy weeks that follow their victory each comes to believe that the other wants nothing to do with them, and that their own burning attraction is sadly unrequited. Alone and unwanted, they resign themselves to a loveless political marriage. But one night on the dark open sea they discover this couldn't be further from the truth.

2) What’s your total AO3 word count? I pulled a few things down for reworking a while back, so currently 15,381.
3) What fandoms do you write for? AO3 says exclusively AC Odyssey, but I also have active docs for BG3, SDV, and AC Valhalla. Someday in the (far) distant future I hope to finish some for KotOR and Dragon Age Awakening as well.
4) What are your top 5 fics by kudos? There's an unclaimed smut piece out there that's lapped everything else, but after that it's Korinth, then Euboea. By Kudos it's Smut > Ship > Gen Fic, which does not surprise me about AO3 at all 😂

6) What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Considering they're all WIPs, I abstain xD

Kassidas is up there. Recency bias says my BG3 ship too, but there's an OC in there so no one knows what I'm talking about... I love a lot of ships, okay?!? I love them all, okay???
15) What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I used to be offended by this question, but considering I have *pauses to count...* 27 open one shots for BG3 and only plan to finish 1.... 😅
16) What are your writing strengths? Unwavering intent to finish. It never ebbs.
17) What are your writing weaknesses? The actual finishing part. It never happens lmao.
18) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? In theory I enjoy it. It's almost always a sweet touch imo, but that said, it does break immersion if I need to go hunting for a translation. It's worth it usually? But case by case.
19) First fandom you wrote for? I think I've given a different answer to this question every time it's been presented. Honestly, I don't remember. The first time I posted was a flurry of Dragon Age Origins, Snow White & the Huntsman (ahaha), and Knights of the Old Republic though, prompted by the fact that my laptop was dying and I didn't know google drive existed yet. Pure panic posting. Do not recommend.
20) Favorite fic you’ve written? I'm the sort that never wants to see it again once it's published. I'll always love the version in my head better - what makes it to a page is mostly for love of fandom. Of all the fics living in my head though, it's probably the Kassidas one. It's what brought me to tumblr and returned a whole part of my mind to me that had been missing for a decade. Nothing beats that <3

Summary: Asami loses Korra inside the Fog of Souls. She must get her back.

Asami shouts, terrified as everything in the Spirit World reverberates perilously.
The very ground she climbs.
Out of nowhere, a Dark spirit lunges.
"Korra!"
Up high, Korra shouts back Asami's name, fiercely thrashing against the bounds of her capture. But it's too late… Asami can feel this in her heart.
Her girlfriend flies through the air, thrown into a deep ravine of fog, and disappears from Asami's line of sight.
"KORRA!!"

One of the light spirits trails after Asami, frightened.
"The Avatar is lost," it murmurs. "She'll be wandering lost forever if she doesn't find her way out."
She remembers a conversation between Tenzin and Korra. The place where Jinora had gone missing. A Spirit World prison. It's made of a spirit itself, capable of draining a human's memories and their energy from them.
"I'll be careful, thank you," Asami tells it.
She's not leaving without Korra.
One way or another.

At the bottom of the ravine, Asami pants, struggling noticeably for a breath. She wanders, calling for Korra, trying to look through the thickening fog around her.
No answer.
Once or twice, a shadowy figure also wanders in the distance.
They're not a Korra-shaped shadow.
Nervously, Asami keeps moving.

It's getting dark.
Asami misses the sunlight of the physical world, the heat covering Asami's bared arms…
She…
She…
What is… she… doing down here?
And who is she…?

She…
She runs a gloved hand over her mouth, fingers quivering and clenching.
There's something missing here. Something important.
Very, very important to her…
"Asami?"
Korra sprints to her, grasping onto Asami's fingers tensing.
"Oh! Oh thank La!" she says breathlessly, Korra's hands now grasping onto the sides of Asami's face. "I thought I lost you!"
"Who…"
Asami's pupils shrink. Her mouth quivers visibly.
"Who are you…"
Korra hesitates, gazing over the tormented expression from the other woman.
"Shhh. I'm gonna help you, Asami," she says softly, leading a daze-eyed Asami by the hand. "Don't worry. You're safe with me."
"I am…?"
"You always are," Korra tells her, resisting the urge for a long, comfortingly kiss.
That'll come later.

The fog goes on and on…
Endless…
*
"Korra?"
She gasps, finding it difficult to breath. Asami… Asami, that's her own name…
Panic flares inside her.
No air.
No.
"Hey, you're okay," Korra whispers, sitting her down with Asami's hands clasped in hers and kneeling.
"No…"
"I've got you, Asami. We're out."
Asami opens her eyes, seeing the landscape of Spirit World vines intertwined under her feet. Are those city buildings? Republic City?
"When… did we…"
"We got a dragon bird spirit ride back to the portal." Korra frowns, brushing a dark curl out of Asami's face. "Breathe."
She does, finding it easier.
"I was trying to save you, Korra… and I forgot myself…"
Asami lets out a frustrated noise, but doesn't look away from the thoughtful benevolence in Korra's frown.
"And you…"
"What matters is that we left together. I love you, Asami," Korra murmurs, hugging her like she hasn't seen Asami in days.
She drops her chin against Korra's shoulder, finally relaxing.
"I love you too."
Korra leans out, and then leans quickly in, stifling a giggle into their kiss when as Asami's lips curl into a smile.

SO. As you may or may not have noticed, I am having trouble posting my fics on time (it just feels so hard, with Health Nonsense TM) and am also really not doing great promoting myself or talking about my work here, as I used to do.

For OCs: Erin Amell/Loghain Mac Tir from Dragon Age, Revan/Malak from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (obligatory disclaimer: Sith Lords = bad... but that's part of the interest) and Tavalyn Silversong/Astarion Ancunin from Baldur's Gate 3... no, I haven't played Baldur's Gate 3 yet, but yes, I have a Tav, because I'm not waiting another year or so to imagine her. Or spoil myself about the story and its endings. Woops.

Prompt #22: Veracity
((Revised on Ao3. Had this done last night but birthday shenanigans with the FC & a call from Mom delayed me. Idea inspired by a Babylon 5 ep...))
“We simply cannot verify these records,” Pentalamus argued. “And we especially know Count Edmont’s record to be biased.”
“Biased, perhaps,” Deadeali said. “Yet still invaluable as a primary source of the history.”
“I cannot deny that, I merely point out that the Count was writing from a very favorable viewpoint.”
“All history is biased,” Gray Swallow stated. “But you seem determined, my dear colleague”—no one missed the sarcasm in the large man’s tone, their academic rivalry well-known—“To deny that the Scions of the Seventh Dawn and the Warrior of Light especially were the heroes every record says. Particularly considering we have here today a living witness.”
The eyes in the chamber turned to the small, elderly Viera woman sitting quietly among them, her clear turquoise eyes flickering between each speaker, gray-tufted ears twitching at each sentence. She cleared her throat.
“I have already stricken the lies and exaggerations, or pointed out where the truth was stretched or hidden, often for specific reasons. I was not present for the end of the Dragonsong War, or many other adventures, but I knew all of those involved, and stood beside those heroes many times in battle.” Her eyes swept the room again, pinning on Pentalamus. “And they were heroes—certainly better people than I could be, especially in mine own youth.”
“Removed the lies, you say. And likely uncomfortable truths as well, no doubt, to prevent your fellows’ memories from tarnishing,” another scholar in the assembly said; Iyna forgot his name, but knew him to be a crony of this Pentalamus.
Iyna glowered. “I see no reason to hide the flaws and mistakes made by the Scions in those times. They were, after all, mortals. They had their limits, their doubts. But they always strove for better. You seem to have a difficult time believing that, young man.”
Pentalamus snorted; he was well over fifty, though to the Viera woman he yet seemed a swaddling babe. “I don’t believe in mere altruism. Man always wants something to motivate him.”
Iyna laughed. “Ah, I used to believe as you!” She said. “But I grew up a ward of Garlemald, at a time when it was a despotic empire under control of an ancient madman, not the fair republic it is now, centuries later. Still with its faults, of course—and yet its current course can be traced back to the Ilsabard Contingent’s humanitarian efforts to save the survivors of the Empire’s downfall. I was not among them; my pain and anger was still too great, back then.” She took a sip from a water glass.
“That the lady’s story hasn’t changed in any way, no matter how many times she tells it, should count for something,” quiet young Terrianette said.
“Only that she is well-practiced,” Deadeali said, before Pentalamus could.
“The question seems to be the veracity of not only the many records of the Warrior of Light and the Scions, but also my word as a witness,” Iyna mused. “In which case, t’would be best to have more witnesses.”
“Unfortunately, my lady, there are few so venerable as yourself who can claim to have known those people and the events in question,” Gray Swallow said gently.
Iyna snorted. “Because, my dear children, you forget man shares this world with others, and there are far more elder memories than mine.”
At that, she let out a loud, piercing whistle that made the various academics in the room wince.
The sound was answered; by the roar of a great cat, a large bird’s shriek, and a dragon’s roar.
A man entered the room; a tall young Raen by all appearances, though his impressive horns shone green, and his eyes were an unnatural burning red. Skittering at his feet was some sort of black beetle-like machina. Behind the Raen came a Kojin man and a strange woman with hair and dress of fire; they were flanked by a massive snake and a white tiger. Dragonets and a myriad of other animals bound into the room in their wake as the assembly of professors and students watched in alarm. The few sleepy reporters found themselves paying much more attention to the debate.
“That—isn’t that the Satrap of Radz-at-Han?”
“His mortal vessel, I think…”
“What are those creatures?
“Auspices from my homeland in the East…Kami preserve, they are—“
The not-Raen made it to Iyna, gesturing for her to remain seated. He took her hand, bowing low over it in greeting as she eye-rolled and shook her head. He grinned at her, then straightened and looked around the room, all mirth faded. His gaze carried more age and authority than even the Viera’s.
“You wish to hear the truth of the Warrior of Light and fellow Scions of the Seventh Dawn,” he said in a quiet voice that carried to every corner, and his power with it. “Then let us tell you what we saw, what we remember, of our friends—and sometimes enemies.“ He glanced down at the machina, as its devices seemed to scan the room. The Satrap looked up again.
“Let us tell you of the true history of the saviors of this star.”

i watched a show about Roman Empire and got fixated with octavian and agrippa and found your post about the humble targaryen of peasant origins and i'm obsessed with the idea of this targaryen agrippa with the most untamable dragon make the noble dragon lords anxious
Please i want to know more, anything 🙏 any scratch about this targaryen agrippa
First of all, drop the name of that show because I'm dying for some good content about the late Republic/early Empire, and Octavian and Agrippa have the most fascinating dynamic of that period to me and I love reading about them and I love talking about them.
So for anyone not in the know, this is referring to a scenario I dreamed up of, if I ever got to make a pre-Doom TV show about Valyria, I'd base a lot of it on Ancient Rome and have the progenitor of the Targaryen family be someone of peasant origin, due to the fact that they weren't a prominent dragonlord family before the Doom, and follow a track similar to that of the historical Marcus Agrippa, Augustus's best friend and second in command (elaborated more on here). A lot of my thoughts on Targaryen Agrippa honestly are aped from historical Agrippa, which I'm cool with since a) half of this stuff isn't even things anyone not invested in the history knows because of all the bad information propagated over the years and b) George has been doing it with the entirety of ASOIAF and its history, I'm just following trends. For example, it's random but in my head Targaryen Agrippa has a limp or some kind of chronic leg pain (due to a theory some people have that Agrippa might have had some mild physical diability in his legs due to being born breech, it's vague but I'm rolling with it) in spite of his martial prowess, which I'm also keeping cuz it's vital to the arc I've got in my head.
When I say Targaryen Agrippa comes from humble peasant origins in my head, I mean really humble origins. Like, farmer levels of humble, honestly I'm half wondering if I have them be from somewhere on the Valyrian peninsula, but not actually the city and immediate surrounding areas itself, just to really drive that home. But because we don't actually know a lot about Valyrian society, I'm choosing to imagine it is like Republican Rome, where there was a lot more room for class mobility and also inter-class integration, and that an element of public schooling or something similar is what draws our Targaryen Agrippa and Valyrian Octavian together, not dissimilar to what happened historically.
I'd also have Targaryen Agrippa have a somewhat large family, in contrast to Valyrian Octavian who is gonna have one (1) sibling, again for arc purposes, and have something approaching the Lucius Vipsanius debacle (Agrippa's older brother Lucius was set to be executed by Caesar due to fighting against him and for Pompey, but Agrippa asked Octavian to speak to his uncle, Caesar, and beg mercy, which Octavian did, the first time he ever asked Caesar for anything and cementing a starting role in politics as the intermediary between the world at large and Caesar, as well as strengthening the ties Agrippa and Octavian had to each other and really being the thing that started that insane bond). Only instead of Agrippa asking, it's gonna be conveyed that he obviously doesn't want his brother to die and is casting about for a way to stop it, and it's Valyrian Octavian who takes matters into their (her? i'm thinking her i like female protags) own hands and decides to intercede out of love for a friend, without any outside prompting.
This is because I'd have Targaryen Agrippa have a much more strained relationship with his family, just not particularly close to them in any regard, and also make him a very proud person. He doesn't like having to ask people for help, he doesn't like that there are members of his family doing the wrong thing, he certainly doesn't like having to do anything like debasing himself in the game of politics (it's a parallel to draw between him and Valyrian Octavian, who is much more politically minded than the martial and battle ready Targaryen Agrippa). He also has a tendency to hold grudges moreso for other people than himself, and gets more angry when his loved ones are betrayed than when he himself is.
I'd also draw a distinction between the first time Targaryen Agrippa rides a dragon and the first time he tames one. In my head, like I said in that other response, Targaryen Agrippa really cements himself as someone worthy of rising into the ranks of the dragonlords and founding his own future dynasty by using dragonlord techniques into taming a wild dragon for himself. But the first time he rides a dragon will be one that "belongs" to another dragonlord family (most likely Valyrian Octavian) in a time of emergency. Just like how Daenerys, centuries later, first rides Drogon not out of pleasure or for battle, but in a time of necessity, so too would her ancestor, the start of her line, either because he needs to get somewhere fast or he needs to flee and there's a dragon in the vicinity. And then that whole "bonding with dragons" thing is something that takes hold afterwards, when he realizes that it's something he can learn to do, that he has power both as a military man and within himself. I do also think that he's gonna embody the view we saw from a lot of Targaryens once they were in Westeros, viewing dragons more as instruments of war and tools, due to his military service and his gift for it, in opposition to what I'm crafting as a much more spiritual and emotionally intense bond between dragons and their riders from the other dragonlord families.
Also he himself doesn't partake in the brother-sister marriage thing, due to the fact that George has, I believe, stated that this was explicitly done within dragonlord families to keep those bloodlines pure, and not something that was done throughout Valyria as a whole, similar to the Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt vs everyone else in the country. Is part of this because I'm gonna do something long and torturous and possibly never even consummated or remarked on between Targaryen Agrippa and Valyrian Octavian? Absolutely yes, and Sky's Domina and HBO's Rome are both fucking cowards for trying to push Livia or Octavia when that's so much less rich and complex and narratively compelling for the characters than whatever the Hell Octavian and Agrippa had going on.

What’s your favorite movie you saw in theaters this year? I don't usually go to the cinema, but I did go to see "Jurassic World: Dominion" to pamper my dinosaur-obsessed inner child. The movie is not perfect, but I enjoyed it ♥.

You're a supervillain whose latest evil scheme threatens to throw the city into chaos unless your nemesis goes on a date with you. To your surprise, they agree with enthusiasm before you can even explain what the consequences of refusing are.

“Nephew, is this really necessary?”
“Shh quiet! Painted Lady will be here any minute. And I told you, it’s Fire Prince!”
“Why don’t you ask her? I’m sure she’ll understand.”
“You know why. Now go prepare for Phase Two! Hurry!”
Fire Prince grumbled to himself and reviewed his notes as Iroh left. Tonight had to go perfectly. Phoenix King was due to reawaken any day and he still had to complete all of the tasks. The alarms blared signaling one of his many traps were triggered.
She’s here.
Fire Prince put on his red and black dragon helmet then took the platform lift to the lower deck. As expected, a figure decked in bright red and brown was tied to a pillar. She lifted her head letting the thick veils that hung from her bamboo hat to part. Her bright blue eyes lined by decorative face paint sparkled with amusement.
“Sunshine.” She said in a sing song voice. “There’s has to be an easier way to get a girl’s attention.”
“What’s the fun in that, my dear lady?” Fire Prince smirked.
“Please. You’re too stiff and humorless to have fun.”
“I am not!”
“Sure.” Painted Lady giggled. “So what’s on the agenda today? Laser beams? Mutated mongoose-lizards? Oh! An army of giant robot turtleducks?!”
“Clever.” Fire Prince circled the pillar in slow careful steps. “But I decided to go old school.”
“Well, don’t keep me in suspense.”
“I’ve planted six interconnected bombs in six secret locations spread throughout Republic City that will go off in exactly-“
“Six hours?”
“Let me finish!” Fire Prince hissed.
Painted Lady laughed. Fire Prince cleared his throat to compose himself. Where was he? Oh yes.
“That will go off in exactly SIX HOURS, coating Republic City in a classified yet dangerous substance. I alone know the kill code which I will gladly share with you,” Fire Prince leaned closer to her face. “For a price, of course.”
Painted Lady raised her brows expectedly. “Oh?”
“One evening together. No bending. No battle. No tricks. If you refuse, I’ll-“
“Deal.”
Fire Prince blinked hard. “What?”
“How does dinner at Beifongs sound? I hear their komodo chicken entrée is incredible. And I’ve been dying to see that new Omashu movie.”
“Wait, wait-“ Fire Prince shook his head and took a step back. “I didn’t even tell you the consequences yet!”
“Don’t worry, Sunshine. I can put two and two together.” Painted Lady casually freed herself from the trap then reapplied her lipstick. “Honestly, it’s about time. Meet me on the Avatar Aang statue at 8?”
Fire Prince could only manage a nod.
“Great! See you then!” Painted Lady winked at him.
She summoned a wave and rode it through the sunroof, leaving a dumbfounded Fire Prince behind.
Iroh came in carrying a tsungi horn with a whole orchestra following behind. He casted Fire Prince a knowing smirk.
“I take it we won’t need Phase Two?”
“No.” Fire Prince continued to look up at the sunroof. “That won’t be necessary.”
