Omega had long since been suspicious of Wrecker’s affinity for going to the market. It made sense after missions, of course. They had to get their Mantell Mix, after all! But, it was odd how Wrecker would find an excuse to go to the market when they had a rare day off. Sometimes two, even three, times a day, even! Perhaps even stranger, he almost never came back with anything! There was only two real options in Omega’s mind: either (a) Wrecker was keeping a secret from their brothers and her; or (b) Wrecker was sneaking off to get his own snacks and wasn’t sharing her her! She wasn’t sure which was more annoying, but she did know that she was going to get to the bottom of it, once and for all.
So, when Wrecker announced that he would be going to the market, Omega was quick to jump up and offer to go with him. It was the perfect opportunity, in Omega’s not-so-professional opinion. They were between missions, waiting for Cid to tell them to recover treasure or save someone or whatever it was that she needed them to do. Which meant that there was almost nothing for them to do while they waited except, well, wait. And, oh, has Omega waited for this opportunity.
“Oh, uh—” Wrecker looked up, trying to figure out an excuse. “That’s alright! It’s really boring out there—”
“Then why have you been there twice today already?” Omega asked. She let out a dramatic sigh. “C’mon please? It’s more boring here!”
Hunter glanced up from whatever Tech was showing him on his datapad and gave Wrecker a look. The kind of look that said stop-kriffing-arguing-already. “Just take her with you,” Hunter grunted.
“But—” Wrecker began to protest. Then, he let out a sigh, his shoulders slumping. “Fine.”
Omega cheered and ran over to Wrecker, grabbing his hand and tugging him out of Cid’s parlor. “C’mon! Let’s go get some snacks!”
And, just like that, Wrecker’s sour, slightly annoyed mood lifted. A smile stretched across Wrecker’s face, an almost bounce in his step, as he listed the different snacks he wanted to get. When they reached the market, Omega pulled him toward the Mantell Mix stall, ordering a couple cartons. Omega had dropped Wrecker’s hand to pick up the two cartons. She turned to hand him a carton, the one that was slightly overfilled, but found that her brother had disappeared.
Shoot. Where did he go? How did he move so fast, so silently? Omega looked around, searching for him. It shouldn’t have been a difficult task. Wrecker stood out among clones. Surely he would stand out among the various species frequenting the market.
Finally, she saw him. He was smiling, leaning against a fruit stall, talking to the woman handing him fresh meilooruns. Omega ran up to him, dodging a few patrons along the way.
“Wrecker! You left me!” Omega said when she reached him.
Wrecker’s face burned red, his eyes starting between her and the woman behind the stall. “Oh, uhh—” Wrecker paused, trying to figure out what to say. “I told you I was coming over here?”
“No, you didn’t!” Omega argued back. “You didn’t say anything! I just turned around and you were gone!”
“Uhh—”
“You’re Omega, aren’t you?” you, the woman behind the stall, asked.
Omega frowned, eyes narrowing. Who were you? Why did you know her name? Omega knew enough from going on missions with her brothers, knew enough from Hunter’s countless warnings, to know she shouldn’t trust someone who just happened to know who she was. “Why?”
“Wrecker talks about you a lot when he stops by,” you explained. “He stopped by this morning, asking if I had any meilooruns. Said that he wanted to share some with you. Talked a lot about how he loves sharing his favorite foods with his little sister.”
Wrecker’s already red face became an even deeper shade of red. He looked down, shuffling his feet.
And just like that, a lightbulb went off over Omega’s head. Wrecker wasn’t just running off to the market. He was running off to the market to see you. It made sense. As Omega looked at you, she realized you were very pretty. Wrecker liked pretty things almost as much as he loved food, perhaps even more. Combine the two? Well, it made sense that Wrecker would like to sneak off to see you.
But it was more than that, wasn’t it? There was…fondness? Was that the word? Regardless, it was clear in your voice when you spoke about Wrecker. Omega watched as you passed Wrecker a few more meilooruns, the way you touched his wrist gently, your fingers lingering for a second, two seconds. Wrecker smiled so wide Omega was sure it had to hurt, his own fingers lingering on you.
“I told him that I was expecting a shipment in the afternoon and that I’d hold a few for him,” you continued. “When I saw him, I waved him over. It was my fault that he wandered off without you. Don’t be too upset with him, please. I didn’t realize you were with him when I saw him, otherwise I would have been more patient.” You reached over, handing Omega a meiloorun.
Omega turned the fruit over in her hands. She glanced up at Wrecker, whose eyes had gone all wide and his lips had fallen into a pout. She knew that her brother wanted her to forgive him—and honestly, she already had, after she realized why he had run off. But…Well, how long had Wrecker been doing this? Running off to the market too ee you and never make a move?
“I’ll forgive him—” she began. Wrecker cheered, pumping his fist in the air, nearly dropping a few meilooruns. “—if you go on a date with him.”
Your mouth fell open. “What?”
“C’mon, please? Wrecker talks about you all the time!” Omega lied. She knew he was going to complain about it, but it was necessary. Her brother deserved to be loved.
“What? I do not!” Wrecker protested.
Your mouth closed as you looked at Wrecker. You licked your lips, hesitating. Then— “Do you want to go on a date with me?”
“Well—yeah!” Wrecker said. “I mean, you’re nice, and you’re pretty, and you always have the best fruit recommendations, and you’re really pretty, and—”
You laughed. “Well, if you like my recommendations, then why don’t you meet me here at six? And I can take you to my favorite restaurant.”
Wrecker was nodding along, hanging on to your every word. “Yeah! I’d love that! And could we go to the ice cream place after?”
“Of course we can.”
“Okay! I’ll be here at six!”
Wrecker and Omega then bid farewell to you, before walking back to Cid’s. As they walked back, Wrecker was practically buzzing with excitement. Omega kept waiting for Wrecker to say something about what happened, but he didn’t. Not until they stood right out of Cid’s.
“Hey, uh—Thanks for that,” Wrecker said, rubbing the back of his neck. “I really appreciate it.”
“You should’ve let me come along to the market with you sooner, and you and her could already be dating,” Omega teased.
Wrecker’s face burned red again. “You think she would like to date me?”
“Duh,” Omega said. “She’d be an idiot not to.”
“She’s not an idiot. She’s really smart!” Wrecker said. “Smart as Tech, even! Well, maybe not that smart because no one’s as smart as Tech, not even droids. But she is really smart!”
“Then of course she’d date you,” Omega said. “She did ask you out after all, didn’t she?”
“Yeah, she did!” Wrecker beamed. “Thank you, again. I really like her, and I was really nervous that she wouldn’t want to be, you know, with a guy like me.”
“Well, like I said, she’d be an idiot to not want to date you, and she’s very smart. So of course she’d like you back.”
Wrecker smiled again, before noticing Echo, Tech, and Hunter. He ran into Cid’s, holding up the meilooruns, and shouting about what he found. Omega let out a laugh before following him in. You know, maybe she should do a little more matchmaking around here. She did have more brothers to set up, didn’t she? That wouldn’t be that bad at all.

"Omega... It's- It's been months. We don't even know if they're still aliv-"
You felt shame rise up in your chest when you agreed with Crosshair. He was right, time had gone by slowly and there was no way of knowing if Hunter and Wrecker were alive. Your sweet sweet Hunter. The man who only showed he heart for the people he deeply loved. You were lucky to be one of them.
"They'll be there." Omega stated. She was so sure... but all you could think about were the doubts. Omega was always able to be more trusting and optimistic than you. Constant fear of losing your family limited you severely.
You swallowed deeply and looked down to Omega, pushing your anxieties down. "They will be." Were you trying to convince Crosshair or yourself?
The next few minutes of hyper-space felt like days. You were so eager. Everything was either going to get a million times worse, or a million times better.
Omega guided the ship to a remote planet you had never heard of, a deep blue over taking you.
Picking at your nails nervously, you stood- ready to depart. Crosshair noticed this and eyed you. He was nervous as well, but for different reasons.
You almost sobbed when you saw the Marauder in the distance. Hope bubbled in your chest, all thoughts of doubt escaped you.
The second the door lowered with a steam, Omega ran out of the ship. You followed her quickly behind.
She stopped at the mid-point between the ships. Wrecker slowly exited the Marauder, "Now there's a sight!"
You laughed, the tension dissipated. Omega ran to him and Wrecker picked her up, spinning around. "Wrecker!" She responded.
The sight made tears of joy fall. To see Omega so happy was enough for you.
"And I wasn't even sure your message was real!" Wrecker half-joked, still holding Omega up.
"Wrecker, I knew you'd show up!" Her words made your ears ring, did Hunter show up? Well, of course he did! That would be dumb for him to leave Wrecker... Unless, unless he wasn't alive to leave.
Your brain ran wild, why hadn't Hunter come out yet? It was almost as if Wrecker read your mind, he rested a hand on your shoulder after lowering Omega.
Just then, another set of footsteps came out. Hunter skipped steps to get to you and Omega.
Your hands shot up to cover your gasp, tears falling fast now. Omega got to Hunter first- you knew she needed it more.
He crouched down and hugged Omega deeply, his words drowned out. What you did make out was him saying your name, an arm stretched out for you and an arm holding Omega tightly.
You met him as fast as your feet would let you. "Hunter..." You whispered, face immediately meeting his neck as he pulled you close.
His arm pulled you in, crushing you against him in a pleasant way.
He pulled back to pepper your face with kisses, then a deep one on the lips. A few of your tears dripped onto his face, mixing with his own.
Omega giggled and pulled on your arm, you pulled back to let her back in on the hug. All three of you were lifted when Wreckers arms grasped around the bunch of you.
Wrecker pulled everyone up, making the embrace tighter. It was like your perfect little family was back again.
That night, after abandoning the empire's ship, was filled with more hugs, catching up, tears, and awkward conversations with Crosshair. You couldn't have wished for anything better. Your family, all in one place. Save for Echo, but you learnt he was safe with Rex- that made you smile.
You helped Omega settle into her room. You noticed too many yawns and drifting off, she was worn out emotionally and physically.
You spoke with her softly, reminding her everyone would still be here in the morning. Picking up Lula, her doll, and tucking it under her arm gave out the last yawn.
"Can I talk to Hunter?" She questioned with big eyes.
"Of course, baby. I'll be right back" You pet her hair back and left to go retrieve him.
You stopped when you saw him, Crosshair, and Wrecker whispering in the cock-pit.
"Ahaha! Be a man, just ask!" Wrecker said as he patted Hunters back harshly. Ask who? What would he have to 'be a man' about?
"If you say it any louder he won't have to..." Crosshair remarked.
"Oh! Sooorry." Wrecker dragged out.
"Both of you hush, I'll do it when I feel the time is right." Hunter spoke, his husky voice immediately filling you with warmth.
"You got this!" Wrecker exclaimed again, this time he earned a "Shhh!" from both Hunter and Crosshair.
You slowly entered the cock-pit, this time making your appearance known.
"Oh! Hello!" Wrecker greeted loudly, signalling to Hunter you were in the room. Hunter just sighed and shook his head.
You were curious about the conversation, but thought it might not be any of your business.
Smiling, you started, "Omega wants you to finish putting her to bed, Hunter." The way his face lit up had you star-struck. Almost like he couldn't believe she wanted him. "Thank you."
He nodded and headed her way, a hand cupping and maneuvering around your waist as he passed you. His subtle but frequent small touches warmed your heart.
You took a seat in the co-pilot chair, swiveling to look at Crosshair and Wrecker. Both looked down at you with crossed arms and smug looks.
"What?" You wondered if there was something on your face, or if you just took someones spot.
"Nooothing, we will be heading off to sleep now. RIGHT Crosshair?" Wrecker spoke in a suspicious voice, elbowing him in the side. Crosshiar grunted but agreed, leaving you alone.
Weird.
But then again, nothing was normal on this ship.
You took this time to lean back and take a few minutes of rest alone. It was nice being able to relax by yourself, knowing everyone was safe.
After a handful of minutes, Hunter made his way back from Omega. He took the seat next to yours, turning to face you.
"How are you doing?" You asked, sparking conversation.
"Fine, I'm just happy you guys are here... I keep thinking i'm going to blink and you'll both be gone..." His words shook at the end. You sat up, understanding the seriousness of the conversation.
"Hunter, Omega and I are alive and safe. We are here and we are not going anywhere." You rose and stood between his legs, hands cupping his face.
He looked up at you, tears filling his eyes slowly.
"What if I can't protect you two again?" He brought up a hand to rest at your hip, the other on his leg.
You rested your forehead against his, "That was a freak accident, baby. No one could have stopped that. Now we have Crosshair, Batcher, and we are ready for anything. We will keep Omega from the Empire. I promise."
He took a deep breath in, like he had just decided something.
He started by saying your name, "You always know just what to say. I wish I had that ability..." He closed his eyes and breathed you in for a moment, then he spoke again. "When... When we were apart I was so lost."
"I kno-"
"No, I don't think you understand. I couldn't think of anything but you and Omega. I was so broken without you." He repeated your name.
"I-I never want you to be away from me again." His voice got huskier as he spoke, and your legs felt like jello. You just looked at him deeply, nodding.
He started for a second time with a shaky breath, "No one can take you from me again. I will claw my way back to you every damn time." He nods his head up, brushing his nose to the side of your cheek with closed eyes.
You let him speak, even when your mind was flowing with your own comments, "It- The distance, made me realize. There is no one that can compare to you. No other woman I would ever want to be with."
Ah, so that is what they were talking about. You smiled big, awaiting the special phrase.
Tears filled your eyes with his words, he was speaking as raw as he was capable of.
"I can't promise you money or luxury, but I will spend every waking hour fighting to make you happy. Fighting to keep you safe." He pulls back, steadying you with both hands on your hips.
You take in a teary breath to speak, but he cuts you off. "Don't say anything yet, just- Wait here, just a second." He stands, reaching to Crosshair's old storage compartment.
He rushes back with a small box. You raise your hands to cup your own face, bright red. He lowered onto one knee, right in the middle of the cock-pit
"Please, for my own sanity and happiness, will you marry me?" He asks.
"Yes. Yes Hunter, there are no other words than yes." You fall down onto him, arms grasping around his neck.
He lets out a sigh of relief like you'd ever say 'no.'
"Thank you, oh thank you." He whispers into your neck, holding you tight. He only pulls back slightly to kiss you. A kiss so deep and full of emotions your head spun. You just held him, never wanting to let go.
It felt like time stopped, just for you two. Just for a clone trooper and a small girl...
"I never planned on you..." He broke the silence, head placed on top of yours. "But I- you were so damn perfect. Too perfect." You gave a small laugh, looking up to see his handsome face.
You rested a hand on his tattoo, thumbing it. "Hunter, if anyone is perfect it's you. You have so much love for me and Omega... How do you do it?"
"I manage." He smirked, leaning down to smell your hair. Something he used to do frequently when you snuggled in the past.
"Am I now Mrs. Hunter? Or is it Mrs. Trooper?" You joked, pulling back to sit fully on the ship floor. Your hands still filled with his much larger ones.
He smiled at you, another reminder on why he loved you so much. "We can figure out all the fine details later... Just let me kiss you again..."
So, you did.
A/N- Thank you so much for reading! I loved writing this one, I hope it turned out as good as I thought! Sorry It took me longer to post than usual, I was pretty busy this past week. As always, i'm open to constructive criticism!

The gleam of the  silvery moon pierced through the dark blue skyline. The cool summer breeze swept through the entirety of the island, caressing wooden chimes hanging outside homes. The crickets were out singing songs to each other. The warm yellow light twinkled in the homes of many who where still awake during the late hours of the night.
With one last look of the island, Omega began making her way across the sandy beaches. She listened to the sound of the waves crashing gently against the shoreline; her shoes leaving prints behind in the sand. A few light breezes swept the loose strands of hair out of her face. She made her way into the lower caves of the island.
Coming up over the rocks, Omega's gaze landed on the spot in which her ship was docked. She neared one of the many generators in the cave, kneeling down and flicking the switch on. The warm light that radiated from the generator brightened her face and signaled the other generators to illuminate the rest of the cave.
A low bark sounded near one of the other generators. She lifted her head and smiled to herself, knowing that it was Batcher calling out to her. She briefly spotted another figure looming and sitting beside the old lurca hound, causing her heart to clench slightly in her chest.
Slowly, Omega made her way over to the both of them. The gangplank of her ship opened to reveal Gonky waiting for her. She rounded the side of the rocks, coming up behind the two.
"Thought you could just sneak off?" Hunter questioned as he stared off towards the entrance of the cave. The corners of his lips tugged into a gentle smile. "Time hasn't dulled all my senses," Hunter reminded her.
She lowered herself to sit down right beside him, watching him carefully with a hint of nervousness behind her eyes. She didn't say anything at first, but she had a feeling he was about to give her one of his famous talks. Sure enough, Omega was right about that.
"Your mother would have woken up worried sick about you, wondering where you’d gone off to this time," Hunter stated. His eyes focused on his hands that where clasped together.
"This shouldn't be a surprise. I talked with mum about this a lot," Omega defended herself.
Her words pained him slightly. In the more recent years, Omega had found herself seeking the advice of her mother more often than him. It had a lot to do with her age; having questions about womanhood that her mother was more than willing to explain. If Omega had gone to Hunter, the conversation would have just turned more awkward than anything. And sometimes, she was afraid to ask him in fear that he'd shoot her down pointblank.
It wasn't a surprise because he had heard some of their conversations late at night when the others had gone to bed. He recalled one conversation that happened just last week. She'd said something along the lines of: "Mum? What were the Clone Wars like?" Her mother proceeded to tell her what it was like to be a field medic during the height of the war. That, despite all the bad things, Y/n had found her purpose in life and wanted to help the war cause by tending to soldiers on the field.
Hunter just really wished she hadn't said that because they wouldn't be here now if she had.
"The Rebellion needs pilots now more than ever," Omega told him. She always had that drive to help others; she was so much like her mother in that way. "I made my choice, Hunter. I want to do more."
"And we want to keep you safe," Hunter countered. He finally turned to look at her. The worry was so evident behind those beaming eyes.
His strong sense of overprotectiveness was starting to show. It almost reminded her of what he used to be like when she was much younger: how he never wanted her to go on missions and how he'd force her to stay behind on the ship. She appreciated his concern, but it wasn't needed now.
"You have, but I'm not a kid anymore." Omega weakly smiled at him. She placed her hand on her chest. "You don't have to worry about me."
He wasn't satisfied with this, slowly turning away once again. He lowered his gaze to stare down at the ground. She continued to watch his movements carefully, wondering what he was thinking about in that moment.
"You're our kid, Omega. You always will be," Hunter said plainly. She smiled at this.
"You’ve got your own kids to worry about now," Omega chuckled slightly. She thought about her three siblings, figuring that they'd be fast sleep in their beds right about now and dreaming about things far beyond this galaxy.
"And you all make me feel like an old man," Hunter huffed with a playful smile.
"Well, you kinda are." Omega teased him by bumping into his shoulder.
When he turned his head towards the light, Omega was able to see just how much time had changed his appearance. His beard had grown out and his hair was sprinkled with grey. She saw the crows feet that bunched around his eyes when he smiled.
He was frail too. He wasn't able to play with his kids as much since last summer when he injured his back. He just moved a little slower now and wasn't able to do any heavy work around the house. He couldn't even remember how long it had been since they settled on Pabu all those years ago.
Pabu was home. Omega had grown up here. His other kids were born on the island. His family and his life was here. He wanted nothing more than to keep it that way. But Omega was moving onto newer things.
"Hunter," Omega sighed. She scooted a little closer to him and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "You've all fought enough. This...is my fight. I'm ready."
Slowly, Omega rose to stand to her feet. He watched her move away from him with so much worry and concern in his eyes. He now realized that she wasn't his little girl anymore. She was all grown up and ready to have adventures of her own.
"Yeah. I know you are," Hunter sighed to himself. His lips curved into a soft smile. He shook his head slightly. "But I'm not."
Now, Hunter stood to his feet in a slow manner. His strength wasn't like it used to be. She didn't hesitate to step forward and embrace him in a tight hug. He wrapped his arms around her, resting his chin against her shoulder. When they pulled away, Omega placed her hands on his shoulders. She sent him a warm encouraging smile.
"Say goodbye to the others for me," Omega requested. She didn't need to give names because he knew she was talking about her brothers, her siblings, and her mother. He gave a single nod of the head before gesturing towards her ship.
"Off you go," Hunter had finally let her go.
Tumblr media
By the time Hunter had gotten home, he was little surprised to see one of the lights on from his view on the street. He climbed the steps of the porch, opening the door as quietly as possible so he didn't wake the kids. His gaze landed on the familiar figure sitting in one of the living room chairs. He closed the door behind him.
"Hey," Hunter called out softly. He took a few strides towards her, kneeling down beside the armchair. He gently grabbed her hand and brought it to his lips, kissing the back of it. "How come you're still awake?"
"I could ask you the same thing," Y/n scolded him slightly. There was a twinge of annoyance in the tone of her voice. "I wake up to an empty bed and a daughter missing."
"Ah, yes. About that..." Hunter's voice trailed off. He quickly avoided her gaze and wondered how he was going to break the news to his wife. But his silence gave it away.
"She's gone, isn't she?" Y/n said rather sorrowfully.
He nodded silently in response. He fought against the tears that gathered in the corners of his eyes, but the light from the lamp illuminated them perfectly. She went to cup his cheek and sent him a weak smile.
"It was bound to happen some day," Y/n tried to reason with him. She shook her head at the notion. "She couldn't stay your little girl forever."
"No," Hunter agreed. "She couldn't. She's all grown up now."
Ever so slowly, Hunter rose to his feet alongside her. He took her spot in the chair before gently guiding her down to sit in his lap. He went to drape her legs over his lap and have them hang over the side of the chair. She wrapped an arm around his neck and leaned down to rest her head against his shoulder. He cradled her gently in his grasp.
The two parent's gazes fell on the wall where each of their children's height had been marked over the years to show their growth. There were countless tallies and dates, including both of his brothers' and the lurca hound's. They studied each mark as a reminder of how much each of their kids had grown over the years.
But Hunter's sights were stuck on a rather faded mark on the wall. He remembered the day like it was only yesterday. He loved seeing how excited Omega was to have her height marked on the wall; how Omega tried to stand as tall as she could while he used a pencil to mark it. Then, seeing over the years, her tallies had grown until she was basically his height.
"They're all growing up so fast," Y/n said with a hint of sadness in her voice.
"Maybe it's our sign to have another one," Hunter joked. She sent him a warning glare so he pressed a little further. "Come on. The littlest ones about five years old now. We're due for another."
"I told you I am done having babies. We've had three; that's a good number," Y/n swiftly shut down the idea of having another little one. She could think of a million reasons why that wouldn't pan out great. "We're getting too old for this. And with your bad back..."
"I know. I know. You don't have to remind me," Hunter chuckled softly, just loving how flustered she had gotten while talking about having a kid again. He pressed a gentle kiss to her check to calm her nerves.
The two of them swayed slightly in the rocking chair, basking in each other's presence. Their eyes set on the wall. The house's memories over the years came flooding back to them. The children's laughter was an ever present sound that brought the purest form of joy.
Their eldest daughter was all grown up now and out of the house. They remembered every single memory they made with her over the course of the past couple years. She had drastically changed their lives, but all for the better. And they wouldn't change a single thing.
LITERALLY AM OBSESSED WITH THAT FINAL SCENE OF OMEGA AND HUNTER. HAD TO WRITE MY OWN VERSION AND I HOPE YOU LIKE IT.

Hunter x Fem!Jedi Reader One-Shot
Summary: You and Hunter realize your long-hidden feelings for one another. Warnings: Wee bit of angst, kissing/making out, slight suggestiveness. This is my first fic! Excuse any formatting or grammatical errors...I haven't stretched my writing fingers in a long time. I also have no idea how Tumblr formatting works, haha. I needed some fluff after that finale. This one got away from me...3,000 words. Please leave your thoughts and enjoy!

The bonfire was now huge, burning fast and bright, much to Wrecker and Omega’s delight. Sparks flew in to the clear night air, illuminating the figures sitting around it.
Clone Force 99 and you had just finished a tiring mission and were taking the night to decompress on a desolate, forested planet. The bonfire was actually your idea, a memory you had stored deep in your subconscious from when you were a very young Jedi Padawan. After a tough training or difficult mission, your Master would often start a fire while you meditated and reflected. The heat and cackling from the flames helped calm you, oddly enough. It was something that you continued to do, even as a Jedi General during the war. It was something that burned bright in the darkness. Something that you were all now desperate for in this new Imperial galaxy.
You didn’t speak much of your past as a Jedi at first. It was too painful, too fresh. But as you spent more time with Clone Force 99, you became more comfortable sharing small snippets on occasion, much to the excitement of Omega who hung on to every word. Echo would also sometimes add his own stories from his old squad, which would then inspire Wrecker to tell stories (sometimes embellished ones) of their missions, reminiscing on battles won. It was nice to connect again, to have those who understood you, as you were now all outcasts. Chewed up by the war and tossed to the side, now struggling to find your place in the galaxy.
Somewhat recently after Order 66, they rescued you from bounty hunters who had suspicions you were a Jedi. You tried to keep it a secret, but Hunter found you out with his heightened senses. You warily came clean to them, telling them the truth.
You were only supposed to stay with them for a short time, only until you found a new place to hide. Hunter was wary with having a Jedi on board, especially since they already had a target on their back. But a short time turned longer. You were helpful on missions and were careful to never expose yourself as a Jedi. Omega became particularly attached to you, and Hunter saw how much Omega was benefiting from a woman on board. You also became close with them, especially Hunter. You both connected over the baggage of being a leader, and what it meant to fail as one as well. Other feelings began to blossom, that neither you or Hunter knew how to act on, or even if you should. You found yourself talking to him late in to the night, discussing next mission plans or plans from the past. But you both always left those conversations wishing you had said more.
Tech had just carefully landed the ship on the empty, forested planet in the only clearing he could find. It was Hunter's idea to do inventory, seeing when you would need to do a supply run next. You casually mentioned the bonfire memory as you were all rummaging through gear and supplies, as this planet reminded you of that distant memory.
Omega’s eyes widened and asked, “Can we do that tonight? That sounds fun!” while looking excitedly between you and Hunter, who was sitting down and cleaning his knife. He chuckled, a low chuckle that made butterflies swirl in your stomach. Something you’ve realized has been happening more often. But you pushed that thought aside, for now.
“Sure, kid. This planet is empty enough. I don’t think it will attract too much attention.” Tech adjusted his goggles and looked up from his datapad. “I do not see any settlements on this planet. There is no current need for worry.” He said before becoming absorbed once more in his research.
Wrecker, with much glee, shot up from begrudgingly organizing his gear, and announced, “Fire, I like this idea! This is boring anyway. Let’s take a break and go gather some wood!” He turned to look at Hunter for approval, who shrugged and nodded. “Omega, let’s go!” Wrecker hurriedly threw the rest of his unorganized gear on his bunk. Omega grinned, also happy to get away from inventory, and began after Wrecker down the ramp of the Marauder. She stopped at the top of the ramp and looked back. “Thank you!” She beamed at both you and Hunter, and skittered after Wrecker.
Hunter had put his knife away and was now leaning against a wall with his arms crossed, gazing at you. You felt your heart beat quicken when you matched his stare.  “You’ve done it now.” He teased as he watched Wrecker and Omega run toward the tree line. You shrugged with a small smile as you stood up from putting the last piece of equipment back in your gear pack. “Well, I have to admit, I need a break too. Let’s just hope they don’t burn the whole planet down.”
Hunter released a low chuckle again and you felt heat rise up your neck. “With Wrecker involved, I’m not too sure.” Echo quipped from the pilot seat, where he was researching where they could get supplies before the next mission. “Given the current wind speeds and our distance from the trees, it would be difficult to start a blaze that big.” Tech called from under a piece of machinery he was now working on. “But I have to agree with Echo. With Wrecker involved, statistically the odds are higher.”
You gave a small laugh, which made Hunter’s heart involuntarily quicken. It was your laugh that he often thought of deep in the night, when he was having trouble sleeping. The way your shoulders moved when you chuckled, the way your eyes glinted when you smiled. How sometimes he’d find himself almost getting out of his bunk to wake you up and take you in his arms, telling you how he feels as his lips meet yours….
A sudden crash snapped him out of his thoughts, setting his senses haywire. You heard the sound too, and you looked at each other and ran down the ramp to see what the commotion was, hands on your blasters. Hunter breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Wrecker standing with Omega at the tree line, who were both excitedly picking up branches from a dead tree Wrecker had just knocked over. Hunter ran a hand through his hair. He couldn’t help but always be on high alert, especially with Omega. He could see relief in your eyes as well, once you realized it was nothing to be concerned about. You lightly touched his arm, asking “You okay?” “Yeah…” he breathed. “I’m not used to…calm.” You nodded, understanding.
“I guess we better enjoy it while it lasts.”
Your lips ghosted a smile, realizing you were still touching Hunter’s arm. You moved your hand, suddenly embarrassed. Hunter opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by Echo coming down the ramp to see what the commotion was. He also needed a break, and was interested in this fire idea. “Yeah, you’ve really done it now, _____.” Echo teased as you all looked at the growing pile of logs and branches that Omega and Wrecker had collected. “Hey, don’t just stand there, come and help us!” Wrecker called as he balanced more giant branches in his arms. You gave Hunter a look and continued down the ramp to help.
The sun was getting low, and Wrecker was adding the last log to a massive pile he and Omega collected. You were collecting small sticks and brush for kindling. Wrecker put down the last one, wiping sweat from his face. “Phew! Do you think this is enough?” He huffed. “If you are trying to light a fire big enough for the entire Galaxy to see, then yes.” Tech said casually as he came down the ship’s ramp, also now having his interest piqued. “Oh, it’ll be a massive fire, I can’t wait!” Wrecker exclaimed as he winked at Omega.
“So now what? I’ve never made a fire before. Hunter, can you teach me?” Omega asked, looking up at Hunter with large, pleading eyes. Hunter looked at her softly. “Yeah, sure kid.” He glanced at you and then put his hand on Omega’s shoulder, leading her toward the log pile.
As Hunter and Omega began to make a space for the fire, you and Echo were maneuvering some of the bigger logs for everyone to have a seat once the fire was going. Since this planet was desolate, you used the Force to move some of the larger logs. Hunter noticed out of the corner of his eye, always secretly impressed with your graceful power. It was rare when you used it, and it captivated him.
“What’s next Hunter? Hunter?” Hunter snapped out of his thoughts and Omega was looking at him, curiously. “You were staring again.” She said quietly. “I don’t know what you mean, Omega.” He lightly scolded, trying to change the subject.
She gave a small smirk. “You sometimes stare at _____.” Hunter cleared his throat. “And I see her stare at you sometimes, too.” She said matter-of-factly, looking back at the pile of kindling they had placed for the eventual fire. “I think she likes you.” Before he could respond, you had suddenly appeared behind them. “How’s it going?” You asked. Hunter bristled, hoping you hadn’t just heard their conversation, not even realizing you were approaching. “It’s uh…going well. I’m just about to teach Omega how to actually light the fire.”
“I have something embarrassing to admit.” You said sheepishly. “I actually don’t know how to start a fire, either. My Master just always used his lightsaber.” You laughed and Omega smiled.
“Mind if I watch?” You sat down next to Hunter, eager to learn as much as Omega was. Or maybe you were just eager to be close to Hunter. His senses were suddenly overwhelmed with your scent, another thing he was noticing lately. His stomach felt like it was on fire. Get a grip, Hunter. he thought. He snapped himself out of thinking about you once again, and continued with his lesson. “Im going to start with the hard way first. Say you’re stranded without gear. This is important to learn.” He took a small stick to use as a spindle and a small flat piece of wood. “This takes awhile and is a pain, but this is the most basic way to start a spark.” He began to spin the spindle between his hands quickly in to a divot he had made on the flat piece of wood on the ground, held steady by his foot. Omega watched intensely, soaking up every word and action. You saw a small gleam of sweat form at his brow, and watched the concentration in his eyes. Your heart fluttered again, suddenly imagining his sweaty brow and intense look above you in a moment of passion. The smell of smoke brought you back to reality, before your imagination went further. Hunter had made a small ember that was smoking. He carefully moved it to the kindling and gently blew on it to start a small flame.
“Woaaah, let me try!” Omega gasped excitedly and went to work the same way Hunter did on a new piece of flat wood. You watched as he patiently moved her hands to the correct position, gently correcting her when appropriate. For a dark and broody Sergeant, you recognized his moments of softness. Moments that he also sometimes shared with you, which you knew were special, especially coming from someone as guarded as him.
After trial and error, and some frustration, Omega finally got her own spark. “I did it!” She yelled. Hunter smiled.
“Good work, kid. You might just be a natural. Now, carefully put it in the kindling.”
She gently moved it to the already growing flame and looked at Hunter for approval. “There you go, you did it. That was all you.” Omega beamed and said  “Now it’s _____’s turn.” She jumped up and brushed dust and dirt off her knees, and began to walk away. “Wait, where are you going?” Hunter asked. Omega turned and called,  “I want to tell the others the fire is almost ready!” She gave Hunter a look and ran back to the Marauder where the rest of the boys had gone to rest, before Hunter and you could respond.
It was suddenly quiet, only the gentle crackling of the small fire was to be heard.
“I guess it’s my turn to try, huh?” You said softly, realizing it was just you and Hunter for a moment. The sun was almost set, and the small fire was casting a soft glow on the both of you. “You don’t have to-“ he began but you stopped him.
“No, I want to! What good am I to the team if I can’t even start a fire? I need to impress my Sergeant." You smirked playfully. "Also, I can’t let a kid get the best of me.” You teased as you began to spin the stick between your hands.
“You bring other skills to the team, you don’t have to worry about fire making.” He stated. “Leave that to Omega and I.” He smiled, looking at you. “Also, you don’t need to impress me. You already do that.” Suddenly, you felt shy. Hunter glanced away from you, embarrassed about what he just said, wrestling with his feelings, wondering if he had said too much.
“Thank you, Hunter. I don’t think I’ve ever expressed how grateful I am to you, and to your brothers, for taking me in.” Hunter looked at you. “You don’t need to thank me. But I’m glad you’re here. Part of this team.” He murmured, turning away from you and looking at the fire. “Me too.” You acted before you could think, gently placing your hand on his shoulder, closing the distance between you, forgetting all about the fire lesson. Hunter stiffened a little while facing you, feeling your hand on his unarmored shoulder. The touch he often thought about late in to the night. The touch he wondered if he’d ever feel. If he even deserved it.
Once again, you felt heat climb up your neck to your face and you began to remove your hand, but before you could, Hunter brought his other hand and placed it on top of yours. Your feelings for Hunter exploded in your chest, realizing how handsome he looked in the soft light, his brown eyes shining in the dark, wondering what you should do next as you felt the heat from his hand encapsulate yours. You were taught no attachments, but that had no meaning anymore. Was this just desperation for something that used to be taboo? You tried to read his face, as he gazed intensely at you. Hunter moved closer to you, “____...I want to tell you something…”
Your intimate moment was suddenly cut short by voices as Wrecker, Tech, Omega, and Echo emerged from the falling darkness toward you. Your hand left Hunter’s shoulder and you practically leapt away from him, startled by the intrusion. You caught a small look of disappointment on his face. “Aww yeah, it’s fire time!” Wrecker bellowed as he held a huge armful of sticks and logs. “Let’s get this going!” You were still sitting near Hunter, and Echo gave you and Hunter a sly look as he sat down on a log near the still small fire, carrying ration bars. You were suddenly distracted by the giant roar as the fire grew due to Wrecker and Omega gleefully adding more and more wood to the fire, blissfully unaware they interrupted…something. Tech tried to explain the optimal way to place logs to get the most efficient fire, but his remarks were ignored and Omega and Wrecked piled more in to the blaze, and he soon gave up.
The heat blazed and sparks flew in to the air, the wood cracking and popping. The fire was massive, and Omega had never seen anything like it and was in awe. You saw Hunter out of the corner of your eye as he stared in to the flames, his face unreadable. You all enjoyed the light and intense warmth the large blaze gave, sitting in silence for a bit. You desperately wanted to be alone with Hunter again, as you listened to Wrecker tell another taller than life tale, with an annoyed Tech trying to interject the facts. Your memory was brought back to you and your Master, quietly enjoying the fire and reflecting on your day’s mission. After Wrecker finished his story, Omega turned to you, waiting for another glimpse in to your past. She understood it was hard for you to talk about, but was hopeful to hear something from before the Galaxy she currently knew. “Omega,” Hunter warned. “____ might not want to discuss it.” He gave you a soft look. The look almost melted your heart. You wanted to desperately take his face in your hands and continue what had started before.
“It’s okay, Hunter. I have a story.”
You told Omega of your first solo mission as a Jedi Knight. You had  infiltrated a pirate base. It wasn’t too exciting, but to Omega it was the most amazing story she’d ever heard. Echo passed out the ration bars as you told your story. After you were done, you nibbled on your bar as you stared in to the flames. There was a comfortable silence as everyone ate, enjoying the small bit of calm before you were all off again on another mission.
After awhile, the fire began to dim and there was no more wood to add. Omega let out a yawn, satisfied with her first bonfire. “We should do this more often.” She proclaimed as another yawn overtook her. “Yeah kid, we can.” Hunter whispered. Wrecker had already fallen asleep, laying over a log in an uncomfortable position, snoring away. Tech nudged Wrecker, also ready to go back to the ship to sleep. One by one, they went back to the ship, leaving you, Hunter, and Echo. Echo then stood up, bidding you both a good night. “I’ll leave you two to it, then.” He raised an eyebrow and then he was gone before you either of you could respond.
Once again, you were alone with Hunter and the slowly burning fire. He looked at you, the fire reflecting in his eyes.
He never thought he’d be grappling with feelings like this. Especially for someone like you. But you cared about him. Worried about him and his brothers, something he’d never experienced before. It was new, and frankly, it scared him. He’d never admit it out loud, but that was the truth. But here he was, with you within arms reach again, staring at him and waiting for what might come next. You looked beautiful, ethereal in the glow of the now small fire. “Hunter…” you whispered as you maneuvered closer to him, like you were before earlier in the night. Your hand was close to his on the log you were both sitting on. You couldn’t wait any longer, the tension between you was about to snap. “You wanted to tell me something earlier?”
He stared intensely at you, trying to find the words to say.
“____, I…I wanted to tell you…I care about you.” His voice was deep, almost inaudible. You fully took his hand, looking right in to his eyes. He was suddenly overwhelmed, waiting for your response. “Hunter, I care about you too.” The second he heard you whisper those words, he boldly closed the distance, acting purely on instinct, pressing his lips against yours in a soft, quick kiss. He pulled back slightly, hoping he didn’t mess this all up.
“____, tell me to stop and I will.” Hunter’s voice was husky and deep. Almost a whisper. It sent shivers down your spine. “Never.” You murmured as you brought a hand to his face, gently cradling his head. Relief washed over you, happy you finally revealed how you felt. He closed his eyes and leaned in to your touch, sighing a deep sigh. You moved your hand from his cheek and gripped his collar, needing more. You pulled him back to your lips for a more passionate kiss. He felt a weight lift off his shoulders as the tension between you dissipated, flying in to the sky with the embers from the fire.
It was his turn to bring his hands to your face, cradling your head gently as he deepened the kiss, your heart feeling like it was about to explode out of your chest. The sensation of your lips moving on his was almost overwhelming. His hands were strong, yet gentle as they maneuvered down to your hips, leaving a trail of fire down your body. You both pulled away again, panting slightly, looking in each other’s eyes. All the unsaid words, all the silent looks, were now completely understood by both of you.
Your hand that was on his collar moved to the back of his head, threading your fingers through his long, soft locks while your other hand gripped his shoulder. You whispered his name as he pulled you in impossibly close for another kiss, getting drunk on your scent, your body.
His tongue slowly made his way in to your mouth, which pulled a groan from deep in your chest. Your reactions spurred him on, his hands on your waist ghosting underneath your tunic, his gloved hands moving over your bare skin making the butterflies in your stomach explode. You desperately wanted those gloves off, to feel his skin on yours. After what felt like an eternity, you parted for air once again.  The fire had now died down quite a bit, leaving you both in almost total darkness. You were illuminated by the stars, the only sound being your shallow breaths. You both wanted so much more, but now wasn’t the time. Hunter nuzzled his face in to your neck, and moved one of his hands from your hips to grasp yours, which had fallen to your side. “I’m yours, if you’ll have me.” He whispered against your neck, his heart thudding against yours. “Yes, Hunter.” You whispered back, squeezing his hand. He moved his head from your neck and brought you against his chest in an embrace, his chin leaning on your head. You both gazed at the glowing embers of what used to be the giant fire, wondering what comes next. But at least for now, you were at peace.

How did you get here? How did you end up with your body shoved against the building behind 79’s, Tech’s cock buried inside of you, with his hand pressed against your mouth, suffocating your moans?
Quite frankly, you didn’t give a shit how you ended up here, you just knew you never wanted it to end.
Something lit a fire into Tech earlier in the night. Maybe it was the way that Rex couldn’t keep his wandering eyes off of you. Maybe it was even the revealing nature of the outfit you chose to wear. Maybe it had just been too long since he’d felt you, and he couldn’t take it anymore.
“That’s right, darling, take my cock” He growled against your ear, his thrusts turning brutal as he fucked you from behind.
This was not the Tech you knew in bed. This was a version of Tech with such a burning hunger for you that he couldn’t stand it not one minute longer. He was possessive of your body, his grip around you being relentless. You didn’t mind it one bit, in fact, you loved this. It was unexpected, and turned you on more than you were willing to admit.
“Maker, you are so good” He gritted through this teeth. Your cries of pleasure seeped through his fingers over your mouth.
He yanked his hand tighter against your face, causing your skin to burn, but it hurt so good.
“You want this whole bar to know who you belong to, hm?” He whispered against your ear. You nodded.
“Go ahead, then, darling. Tell them who fucks you this good” He smirked.
“Stars, Tech. You fuck me so good” You whimpered. In response to your filthy remarks, he fucked you faster and harder now. He loved watching your ass bounce against him with every thrust.
Your legs began to tremble as you became overwhelmed with your approaching orgasm. You felt the tingling form in your lower belly, and his cock filled you so perfectly, brushing your most sensitive places with every stroke. It was all too much.
“Come for me” Tech demanded.
You obeyed, feeling the rush of your euphoria wash over you. The feeling in your legs faded, as all sense of feeling centered in between your legs. Loud cries of pleasure escaped you, but Tech did nothing to suppress your expressions now.
“That’s it. Oh, Y/N, I’m going to fill you up” He faltered, his hips losing their rhythm as he spilled his release inside of you, marking you even more…as his.

[Chapter 1] [Chapter 8]

Chapter 7 - Bodypillow
There is weight to your bunk this morning, and somehow, you don't remember purchasing a weighted blanket?
It's warm, engulfing you from all around, a tight and loving sensation that is drawing you back into a deep slumber. That is, until you realise what (or who) your weighted blanket really is.
A soft snore draws your eyes upwards, and there, you find the culprit.
Wrecker is sound asleep. For a man who usually snores, his breathing is rather light, almost as if he's aware that you're sharing a bed with him, and he has the courtesy of not waking you up. Now, you remember dozing off in Wrecker's lap last night, but this? How did you get from the cockpit to your bed? And better yet, what is Wrecker doing in here? Not that you mind…
No bother! This isn't the first time that you've cuddled with Wrecker, or any of your boys. You decide that you'll ask him to piece the dots together when he wakes up, but for now, you fancy lulling back to sleep whilst taking up the position of the little spoon.
Rolling onto your side earns nothing from Wrecker, not even a murmur. However, the second that you're comfortable, his body instantly wraps around yours. It's as if he knows his place - here, snuggled up behind you, gently holding you in his embrace whilst his firmly erect cock finds itself comfortable pressed against your ass.
Yeah.
Big mistake.
The second that you feel it, you realise what's in store. As tame as your heat has been during your time on Tatooine, it's bound to rev up soon, and such a feeling against your bum will certainly be the cause of it.
Maker, you can't help that your thighs are already shifting against each other. At least both of the suns haven't risen yet, as this feeling during the sweltering heat would surely cause you to melt. Literally.
But why not enjoy some fun before the suns rise? That is, if Wrecker is up for it. Plus you'll keep those urges down for the next day or so, and hopefully, you'll be off this desert of a planet by then.
Your body moves before you can think everything through, and now, your ass is firmly pressed against Wrecker's hard length. He stirs in his sleep, letting out a tiresome groan as the arm around your waist tightens. The sensation is nice, feeling small, yet snug against such a large guy.
Another light wiggle of your bum earns another groan, and the more you wiggle, the more Wrecker begins to shift in his sleep. You can hear him licking his lips, followed by a soft, "hm?" as his crotch pushes itself deeper against your ass. The poor guy is oh-so-aroused, and he's yet to wake from his slumber.
The hand around your waist removes itself, only for Wrecker to place his large palm flat against your stomach. He holds you there as his eyes finally flutter open, and after clearing his throat, he lets out a simple, "mornin'."
"Morning," you sweetly reply.
Wrecker relaxes his hand, and uses it to rub sleep from his eyes before returning it to your waist. Despite not being able to see his expression, you can tell that he's still waking up, as he lets out a subconscious series of grunts and moans, soon to be followed by a sheepish, "oh."
"Oh?" you question.
"Oh," Wrecker replies with a nod. "I didn't know that I… uh, that part of me was awake before the rest of me, if you get what I'm saying."
You let out a soft laugh and confess, "I find it rather pleasant."
Instantly, Wrecker's demeanour changes. "Oh yeah?" he questions in a tone that you've never heard before - firm, forward, flirty.
"Yeah," you sweetly coo, followed up by grinding your bum against his hard length. This earns a gasp that slowly turns into a chuckle, followed by Wrecker tightening the grip on your waist.
"You're fun to wake up next to," Wrecker says with a grin. He matches your game, rolling his hips against yours, but not firm enough to cause any real damage. A man like Wrecker is packed to the brim, but he knows when and where to use it. Patience is key…
"That being said…" you peer over your shoulder. "How did we end up here?"
"Oh!" Wrecker exclaims. His hand slips from your waist to rub the back of his neck, a standard move for when he's nervous. "You fell asleep on me last night, so I figured I'd put you to bed. But when I tried to tuck you in and leave, you got all grouchy! Mumbled somethin' like 'stay with me?' and I figured I'd take you up on that offer."
Sure, you and Wrecker have had your fair share of cuddles, but you've never ended up sleeping together. Literally.
"Huh, that sounds like me," you say with a shrug.
A warm hand returns to your waist, "I hope I didn't… uh, cross any boundaries. I mean no disrespect-"
"-you didn't!" you exclaim, wanting to instantly ease his nerves. "I am happy that you spent the night with me," you say with a smile, and curve your back to push your ass against Wrecker's crotch against.
Wrecker lets out a dark chuckle. "Heh, yeah, me too!"
There's a brief moment of silence, nothing but warmth and arousal shared between you two, until Wrecker opens his mouth again. "So, is somebody worked up this mornin'?"
"Actually, I woke up to find that you were the 'worked up one," you say with a soft laugh. "But I'll confess, that's what got me going…"
Wrecker hums. "Well, if you'd like…" fingertips begin to dance along the hemline of your sleep shorts, threatening to disappear beneath the thin fabric. "I could help you out?" Wrecker offers, such a kind gesture from a gentle man.
"I'd love that, Wrecker," you consent with a playful purr.
Wrecker lets out an, "awh, yeah!!" as he slips his fingers beneath the waistband of your shorts, no wasting any time. He goes straight for his main objective, your pussy, and glides his fingertips over your folds. "Somebody's already wet, huh?" Wrecker points out.
"That's rich, coming from you," you sarcastically reply as you reach behind your back to press your palm against Wrecker's hard length, pulling a gasp from him.
"Yeah, you're right," he shrugs.
The hand in your pants assists you with removing your sleep shorts, discarding them in the field of blankets. With Wrecker as your big spoon, you roll onto your back, spreading your legs and hooking one over Wrecker's thigh. Despite not being able to see your lower half, Wrecker finds your crotch again with ease, and continues to run his fingertips over your folds.
A tender kiss plants itself on your temple, and you peer up to see Wrecker looming above you. The angle is a little awkward, but you manage to introduce your lips to Wreckers, receiving kisses that are far softer than you expected.
Only you don't kiss for long, as Wrecker slips one of his thick digits into you, earning a mix between a whine, and a gasp. "Hehe," Wrecker chuckles as he begins working you open with one finger, easy work for a man such as him.
If Wrecker's finger is this thick, then you dream to imagine how his cock is going to be! Despite being able to feel it, you know that it will stretch you more than you can imagine.
One finger soon becomes two, and that's all you need in terms of preparation. Wrecker has turned you into a panting, whining, and trembling mess, far before the crack of dawn! You pray to the Maker that the others aren't awake yet, as you're not exactly quiet, and Wrecker is making zero attempts to keep the noise down.
"Pretty little thing, ain't'cha?" Wrecker comments as he kisses your temple again. "Y'know, Echo refused to give out details when he mentioned that he had you the other night."
"Wait… w-what?" you stutter, attempting to keep your mind from spinning as Wrecker continues stretching you open.
"Mhm! Now I get why! I would'da made my move ages ago if I knew you'd be this sweet."
"No, I mean… Echo spoke about it?" you question, causing Wrecker's fingers to come to a halt.
"Yeah… is that, uh, a problem? Cause I don't mean to be nosey, but he-"
"-It's alright, promise. I just didn't see Echo as the type to… brag? Gossip? I don't know," you explain, easing the tension. You're far from mad - the opposite, really. It's somewhat exciting, the idea of Echo mentioning that he slept with you. But if Echo is one to talk, then what about the others?
"He ain't, but he had a smug grin on his lips," Wrecker comments with a bold laugh. He head dips down to your neck, and your eyes flutter shut as passionate kisses are laid across your neck. Wrecker's fingers start up again, and you swear you're about to climax early as he speaks once more. "If there's one thing you should know about us, General, it's that we like to share everything."
Kriff! Those words… that comment… you've practically soaked your own bed, and Wrecker hasn't even fucked you yet!
You don't need to verbally respond. Wrecker knows what you want. He slips his fingers from you, and pulls your leg higher up his thigh to prop you into position. You can feel Wrecker's firm cock pressing against your folds, and he takes pleasure in grinding his shaft against your lips, before tilting his hips, and lining the tip up with your entrance.
"Waiting on your orders, General," Wrecker comments in a smug tone, causing you to click your tongue in annoyance.
"Kriff me already, Wrecker," you order.
All of your breath is pushed from your lungs as Wrecker slips in, letting out a long and feral groan in the process. He swears under his breath whilst adjusting his arms; one is stretched out under your neck, whilst the other wraps around your waist, pulling you firmly against his body. The ideal big spoon, who just so happens to be balls-deep inside of you.
As much as Wrecker enjoys taking the ropes, he still pays attention to minor details - the way you squirm against him, your short and sweet moans, your eyes fluttering shut. This is your first time with him, so adjusting to his girth is going to take a while. In the meantime, Wrecker begins with slow, deep thrusts, watching how you squirm and writhe. It isn't until you grumble, "more, Wrecker," that he finally picks up the pace.
Before you know it, Wrecker is thrusting into you with full force. Heavy breaths fill up the room, bound to be overheard by anybody passing by. Let's hope the others are still asleep, and not easily woken up…
"Kriff," Wrecker exhales, still spooning you whilst he bucks his hips up. "I ain't gonna last long, not when you're gripping my cock this good."
"Make sure you finish inside of me," you sweetly order, and who is Wrecker to deny such a request?
Wrecker's hips come to a halt as he lets out a sigh. "I need a moment," he pauses, preventing himself from orgasming early. A kiss is planted on your temple before Wrecker starts up again, attempting to hold on a little longer.
Wanting to lend you more assistance, Wrecker moves his hand from your waist, large fingertips meeting your clit. Now extra stimulated, all you need to do is hold on, and let Wrecker do all of the work! There really is no better man to wake up next to, and how he has this much energy in the morning is beyond you!
"C'mon girl," Wrecker mutters. "Think I'm gonna explode when you cum," he says with a chuckle.
The extra stimulation was all that you needed, putting a stop to your heat, for now… You're having to throw your hand over your mouth as you orgasm, still attempting to be somewhat decent to your neighbours. Wrecker, on the other hand, isn't as quiet, although he does bury his head into the pillow, barely muffling his groans.
After taking a series of deep breaths, you come to realise how full you are. Wrecker's cock is still buried inside of you, and he hasn't wasted a single drop, filling you to the point that you're overflowing. "You cum bucket loads," you observe with a laugh.
"Yeah, it's been a while," Wrecker chuckles along. "Are you tired?" he follows up, not surprisingly exhausted after your intimate moment.
"Yeah," you agree with a nod. "Wanna stay like this, and fall back asleep with me?"
"You mean, sleep with my cock stuffed inside of you?" Wrecker repeats, and is practically beaming with excitement when you nod in confirmation. "Awh, that's so hot," Wrecker compliments, you laugh and thank him.
The duvet that had wandered south is pulled back up, and tucked comfortably around both of your bodies. Wrecker then wraps his arm around your waist, keeping you close, both for comfort, and to prevent him from slipping out of you. You can feel Wrecker's deep breaths on the back of your neck, already eager to drift off to sleep, catching a few more hours before it's time to start the day.
For now, the clean-up can wait.

Author's Note: Two fics in one weekend 😱 I think I broke a record 😂 Even though it's shorter than most of my one-shots, rest assured, this idea was predetermined at the beginning and didn't come from my panic that I only have a week left to finish my bingo card 😅 I love the Bad Batch and their characters, but inspiration is a very fickle thing. As always, please enjoy 💚

It's a beautiful summer day, and as you walk through the crowds of people your senses are filled with the smells of funnel cakes and fried oreos, and the sounds of kids screaming on the fast, colorful, rides at the midway. Today is Omega's birthday, and to celebrate she wanted to spend the day at the local fair with her brothers. Their girlfriends were also allowed to come, making for a fun family day for everyone. It's been forever since you've gone to a fair, so you're also excited.
Omega sits atop Hunter's shoulders and points out everything she wants to do, eat, and ride. Tech keeps a running list of what she says so they don't forget something, including the firework show at the end. Echo is in charge of the map to make sure they take the most efficient path. Crosshair isn't much of a fairgoer, but he would never pass up an opportunity to wipe the floor with the dads at the fair games and win Omega the biggest stuffed animal available.
Then there's you and Wrecker. He's just as excited as Omega to enjoy the fair, but what he's most excited about is the food. Fair food is the best. There's nothing quite like deep fried candy bars and cheap corndogs smothered in ketchup and mustard. You're not sure where he keeps packing it away, but you had to stop after the fried pickles and take a break. You sit down on a bench to rest for a minute, when Wrecker walks over carrying a massive red and blue slushy.
Your eyes widen. "Please tell me that's not for me."
Wrecker laughs. "It's for both of us."
"Oh, thank God," you breathe in relief. You rub your stomach when you feel it gurgle.
"Not feelin' well?" Wrecker asks as he sits down and rubs your back.
"Just ate too much," you answer. "I'll be fine in a bit."
"Guess I'll have to drink this myself then," Wrecker says.
"Knock yourself out," you chuckle.
You continue to relax on the bench under the shade of a tree while you wait for your stomach to settle. It's the middle of the day, and the sun is beating down hard and hot. Everyone is taking a break now around the same bench, making sure to hydrate so the fun can continue without issue. You also end up taking a few sips of that slushy. Omega becomes restless as she plucks pieces of grass impatiently while sitting on the ground waiting to have fun again.
"Can we go now?" Omega asks while tugging on Hunter's pant leg.
"Ten more minutes," Hunter says as he leans against the tree and looks down at Omega.
Omega flops onto her back and groans. "The fair will be closed in ten minutes."
"Actually, the fair will close in approximately eight hours," Tech adds.
"See?" Echo says as he pats Omega's leg. "Plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the fair."
Omega sits up and rolls her eyes.
"So," you begin, while trying to change the subject, "what's next on the list?"
"Hmm," Omega thinks. "The rides! Definitely the rides."
"Are you sure you don't want to save those until it gets dark?" Echo asks. "The lights on the rides are pretty at night."
Omega pouts.
"Let the kid go on the rides," Crosshair argues. "We've got the wristbands, so we can always come back after it gets dark."
Omega's face lights up and she tugs harder on Hunter's pant leg. "Hunter, please? Can we go now? I want to go on the rides."
Hunter sighs.
"Aw, c'mon, Hunter," Wrecker says. "It's the kid's birthday."
Hunter glances at Echo and Echo shrugs. "Fine. Let's go."
"Yes!" Omega exclaims as she jumps up from the ground.
You smile at her excitement, and stretch your arms above your head as you get up from the bench. You definitely feel more rested, and your stomach has settled since you sat down and stopped eating food. You're not sure about going on any of the rides though. You love the fair as long as you stay on the ground. You mostly enjoy the little shops, stands, music, food, and the animals, but not the rides. They make your stomach queasy, but mostly, you're afraid of heights.
However, for Omega's birthday, you will play along for as much as you can, even if you stay behind to hold everyone's belongings while they go on the rides. Someone has to do it, so it might as well be you. The first ride Omega chooses is an easy one, the carousel. Now that's a ride you can handle, and everyone can still carry their belongings onto the ride. It's not too fast and not too high, just perfect for someone like you, and possibly the only ride you'll go on.
After the carousel, the group hops from one ride to the next. Your plan of staying back and holding everyone's belongings is working out very well, and so far, no one has questioned it. Wrecker knows your apprehension towards rides and fear of heights, so he doesn't have to ask. Even through his own fear of heights, he still goes on the rides with Omega and everyone else. You admire him for working through his fear, for his little sister's sake, and wish you could too.
After a couple more hours of rides, the sun starts sinking lower in the sky and the heat of the day passes, with a slight breeze blowing in from the east. You thought that Omega would be tired by now from all of the walking and rides, but no, she is still moving like she was this morning. You don't know where she gets all of the energy from, but you now understand why Hunter is so tired all of the time. Keeping up with that ball of energy must be exhausting for him.
Just as you think you'll be leaving the midway to get more snacks and drinks before the firework show, Omega pulls everyone to one last ride. The roller coaster. You look up at the colossal giant of twisting metal and lose your breath as a cart of screaming people flies by across from you. That's one big nope from you. You are happy to just stay on the ground and let everyone else fly down that hill to their deaths. You take a seat on the bench by the line and try to relax.
"C'mon," Omega says as she pulls on your hand. "We're going on the roller coaster!"
You instinctively shrink down further onto the bench. "Oh, no, Omega. I can't."
"Please?" she pleads. "I want us all to go."
"Really, I–"
"It's for the kids' birthday," Crosshair interrupts. "If I have to put up with it, so do you."
"I don't like roller coasters," you explain. "They're way too high and scary."
"The probability of getting hurt on a roller coaster is one in one hundred and seventy million," Tech adds. "You will be fine by my calculation."
Echo elbows Tech and gives him a look. "Really?"
Tech pushes his glasses up. "My calculations are never wrong."
"Guys, please," you say. "I'm really afraid of heights. I can't do it."
"Wrecker is afraid of heights," Hunter notes, "and he's gone on everything."
"Well, maybe my fear of heights and his fear of heights are different," you argue.
"Mesh'la," Wrecker says as he sits on the bench next to you. "If you sit next to me, you know I won't let anything bad happen to you."
"But–"
"Just this once," Wrecker insists. "For Omega."
You sigh and look into Wrecker's soulful eyes. "Promise nothing will happen?"
"Promise," Wrecker says with a comforting smile.
You take a deep breath and exhale slowly. "Okay, let's go before I change my mind."
"Yes!" Omega exclaims. "Roller coaster here we come!"
The wait in line for the roller coaster is rather short, so you don't get a lot of time to overthink your absolutely horrible decision. You're not sure how you let them talk you into it, but here you are, stepping into the car of a roller coaster and regretting every second of it. You chose a car in the middle of the roller coaster, because both being in the front or the back is terrifying, then Wrecker squeezes in after you. He pulls the safety bar down and drapes his arm over your shoulder.
"Wreck," you say with a shaky voice. "I don't think I can do this."
"Just hold onto me," Wrecker says. "I gotcha."
You clamp your hands onto Wrecker's arm as best you can and squeeze your eyes shut. You want to get off, but the ride hasn't even started yet. You can hear Omega in one of the cars in front of you giggling in anticipation, while you, on the other hand, are hyperventilating and hanging on for dear life. Every terrifying possibility and horrific outcome races through your mind all at once and you wonder if you should have written a will before you let yourself get on the ride.
It's too late now. You feel the car jerk beneath you and the chain clanking as it pulls the line of cars down the track and towards the first hill. Every muscle in your body is tense and you don't dare to open your eyes, but you still feel it. You feel it moving beneath you along the track and your anxiety grows when your body leans back against the hard seat as the coaster is pulled up the first hill. Every alarm bell in your head is going off, warning you that you won't survive the drop.
Then it stops, and for a moment you let yourself relax, thinking you must be at the top of the hill. Of course, where else could you be? The anticipation of what's to come overwhelms your already tense body and you steal a peek, but instantly regret it. You're up, high up, very high up, and the only way down is to let the coaster take you there, but you don't want it to move. You feel sick and you hold onto Wrecker's arm even tighter, wondering if he feels the same way.
Before you can get the answer, you're careening down the hill at top speed. The rushing wind blows your hair wildly as your stomach enters your throat as the feeling of weightlessness takes over. But before you can pass out, your weight returns, pushing your butt back down into the seat. Now that your breath is back, you can finally scream. You scream for dear life, and you're pretty sure Wrecker is having as much of a horrible time as you are, but he stays strong for you.
Thankfully, the ride comes to a stop back at the station. The safety bars release, but you've got one solid grip on the bar and another on Wrecker's arms, refusing to let go, even though the ride is over. Your body has clamped down and you're stuck. You won't even open your eyes. Even if you try to move, you know your legs will be wobbly and you'll probably fall over, or at the least look ridiculous trying to exit the ride. Then you feel two strong arms lifting you out of the seat.
"I've got you," Wrecker soothes. "You're okay."
"Am I alive?" you ask with a shaky voice, eyes still squeezed shut.
"I think so," Wrecker says, then pinches your arm.
"Ow!" you yell and open your eyes.
"Yup," Wrecker says. "Alive and well."
You can't help but laugh. "Thanks."
Wrecker smiles and gives you a soft kiss on the forehead, which you lean into to help soothe your shot nerves.
"C'mon, guys!" Omega calls. "We're gonna miss the firework show!"
"Can you handle that?" Wrecker asks.
You sigh as your body begins to relax. "As long as I get to stay on the ground I can."
"Can do," Wrecker smiles, then drops your legs so you can stand.
"Actually, can you carry me?" you ask with big doe eyes. "I'm so tired and my legs feel like jelly."
"Always," Wrecker says, then picks you back up and follows after the rest of the group.

You'll Have to Go Through Me Pt 6
Part 6 of You'll Have to Go Through Me, the next arc of Doc's Misadventures! If you're new, start at the beginning with Touch Starved!
So... just a heads up: this is actually the end of this arc. Aaaand I intend to spend the next week or so working through a couple Asks. Sorry it took so long to get out - feel like I kinda struggled a bit with it, but I do be having some interesting thoughts (courtesy of a collab braining session with my hubby) for what happens next (because I clearly don't have enough upcoming Doc stories lol)
Warnings: Mild PTSF, guilt, reference to torture/gore, profanity, heated kissing

The sound of those crashing waves again lulled me into a false sense of nearness as I followed the well-trod path toward the beach, endlessly believing I’d finally glimpse a stunning expanse of oceans upon cresting the next ridge only to find another dune stretching out before me. The Marauder was empty when Crosshair and I had reached it, but he’d urged me to continue alone as he ducked inside with a parting “Try not to start another fight until I get there.”
Alone, there was no blessed freedom from my thoughts, nothing to distract myself from the ache each step sent shooting through my hip nor the way my hand throbbed, and I quickly found my strides quickening if only to escape that haunted isolation. Acknowledging that I’d had no real choice in what I’d done offered little reprieve from the nauseating guilt brought on by the memories, and I quickly found myself so lost in those thoughts that I might have run mindlessly into Hunter before noticing him had he not reached out to grab my arms first, wide eyes studying me expectantly as I turned up to him with a quiet gasp.
“I was just coming to find you.” He said after a moment’s hesitation, words drawn out with an unspoken question. He glanced briefly past me before those worried eyes turned back to mine.
“He’s at the ship.” I answered, straining to force my breathing to slow. I knew it was pointless, that he could hear the rapid thudding of my heart and quickly tried to change the subject. “Couldn’t have landed closer to shore?” Hunter barely acknowledged the feigned annoyance in my words. “Usually, people go to the beach to relax, not for a workout.” He was still for just a moment longer before yielding beneath my silent plea with a gentle smirk.
“And here I thought you were tougher than the other nat-borns.” He teased, and relief fluttered through my chest. “Need me to carry you, princess?” I scoffed and tread purposefully around him.
“Don’t tempt me, Mr Big, Scary Clone Commando.”
“‘Scary’?” He sounded far too pleased with himself as he fell in step beside me, shoulder bumping lightly against mine. “I can think of a couple better ways to describe myself.” There was nothing forced in the chuckle that escaped me as I looked up at him.
“Yeah? What? Like cocky? Vain? Over-a-” The word cut off with a squeal of laughter as he threw me over his shoulder.
“Sorry, what was that?” He hummed fingers intentionally toying with the oversensitive skin at my sides any time I tried to speak. “Can’t quite hear you over all that giggling.”
“Hunter!” I shouted, eagerly ignoring the flash of pain as my hands latched onto the thick muscle atop his shoulder blades to steady myself. “Put me down!”
“And risk wearing out our precious med’ika? Boost would never forgive me.” My cheeks flared red.
“Hunter!” I shrieked again, but he merely shook with his own laughter as he continued along the trail a few more strides before finally setting me down, haughty grin toying with his lips as his touch lingered on my arms to steady me. I tried to glare at him but couldn’t restrain my mirth for even a fleeting moment as I tried not to think on the ease with which his powerful frame carried me.
“What’s with the… Doc!” The concern in Wrecker’s voice instantly shifted to excitement as he looked down at us from atop the dune, and I sent him a warm smile that quickly broke into laughter once more as he skidded down the hill, plowing into me with a breathtaking hug that forced out a quiet “oof” as he lifted me off my feet.
“Yuh had me so worried!” He said, and I could hear Hunter’s quiet chuckle beside us. “An’ then you were gone when I woke up, and I thought-” He suddenly stopped and carefully put me back down, blush flaring up his neck. “You, uh… sorry if I… made yuh uncomfortable…” His loud voice faded into an almost embarrassed murmur. “Didn’t really seem like yuh wanted me to let yuh go, so I just…” He lets his words fade with a shrug.
“Wrecker,” I called softly, heart jumping when he hesitantly met my gaze. “Thank you for helping me last night... I think I really needed it.” His blush deepened, but his lips pulled into a shy grin.
“Jus’ glad it helped.” He replied softly, and he paused for just a moment, watching me with that knowing softness that spoke volumes of the darkness he knew lingered just beneath my smile, but he allowed me to hide from it in the warmth of his presence. “Now, come on! If yuh thought the last fish we roasted was big, wait ‘til yuh see this one!” My brow hitched in interest as he turned and guided me over that final dune, arm draped casually around my shoulders.
I’d never seen water so clear. Even from afar, bursts of color shown through that crystalline blue from endless stretches of elaborate coral reefs through which I could just make out blurred streaks darting in and out of sight as countless fish thrived in the immaculate landscape hidden beneath the gentle waves. A comforting wind toyed with my hair, carrying the scent of sun-warmed sands garnished with a salty tang that was somehow far more subtle than I’d anticipated. The nearly white beach stretched out in a graceful curve to my right before vanishing beyond the tree line, while ivory cliffs blocked passage to my left, great boulders from which protruded elegantly from the water where the current crashed against them in great flurries of sparkling droplets.
“Worth the hike?” Hunter goaded with that haughty smirk.
“Depends. Am I going to get eaten the second I dip my toes in?” I asked, shooting a sideways glance at him.
“Probably not.” The utter ease with which his smokey voice murmured those words drew a huffed scoff from me, eyes rolling slightly.
“Nothin’ out there we can’t deal with, at least!” Wrecker chimed, pulling me forward once more.
Nestled just within the shadow of palms near the base of the cliff, they’d dug a pit into the sand from which I could just glimpse the glow of coals beneath a familiar metal grate, and I didn’t doubt Wrecker had hauled it from the Marauder the instant one of his brothers suggested they prepare a meal. He was right. Only half of the massive fish they’d somehow caught fit atop the grill, the remaining half hung from a nearby tree, flesh protected beneath a layer of broad leaves, and it was easily twice as large as the one we’d cooked on Devaron.
“No swimming… Got it…” I muttered, noting the row of sharp teeth nearly the length of my hand, and Wrecker let out a warm chuckle.
“Predators such as this tend to prefer feeding at dawn or dusk, making it highly unlikely one would attempt to target you in the next several hours.” I turned to find Tech reclined against the trunk of one of the swaying trees. A pile of tool and parts lay at his side, gaze turned toward his datapad though it didn’t appear as though he was truly looking at it so much as looking away from me, and that realization made my heart drop.
“So, you’re saying there’s only a small chance I’ll lose a limb.” I replied, gentle smile warming my voice in a silent plea, and that smile grew when his eyes flicked briefly to mine, lips just twitching in a grin of his own.
“It’s unlikely, but, yes, there’s a non-zero probability.” He yielded reluctantly.
“I’ll go with yuh!” Wrecker offered.
“Maybe after breakfast.” His eyes lit up at my response.
“A’right! I’ve been dyin’ to try this thing!” With that, he released me to trot toward the freshly cooked meal with Hunter following shortly behind.
“How are you feeling?” I asked quietly, moving to sit down a few feet away from the Tech.
“I do not believe I’ve suffered any long-term effects from the electrocution.” He answered, gaze again shifting toward me for a fleeting, almost shy glance that piqued my curiosity.
“Given that ‘short-term’ technically includes anything up to a month, would you care to elaborate?” I drawled, turning knowing eyes toward him, and I couldn’t help but warm at the way his lips bunched up.
“There’s some lingering fatigue and occasional muscle weakness, but it is minor enough that I anticipate it to resolve without the need for intervention.” His fingers tapped against the screen, but his attention remained somewhere just beyond whatever data lay within the illuminated surface.
“I’m glad.” I sighed in relief. His jaw twitched, but he seemed to think better of what he’d nearly said and quickly silenced himself. I ducked my head pointedly toward him, waiting, and I watched his fingers fidget anxiously with the seem of his gloves.
“Hunter… told me that you… well, that you carried me… again…” I almost couldn’t believe the sight of red creeping up his neck. “I apologize if it’s been burdensome.” Beneath a guilt that made my heart twist, there was a note of… something in his voice… excitement maybe? I found myself eager to lean into that underlying emotion rather than let him drown in a guilt that had no place between us.
“Stand up.” I instructed suddenly, already pushing myself to my feet as well, hands absently swiping at the sand clinging to my legs.
“Excuse me?” That confusion broke whatever aversion had kept him from meeting my eyes, and I had to bite back the relief upon finally seeing that brilliant burnt honey looking back at me.
“Stand up.” I said again, hand flaring out for emphasize. He stammered a moment longer, mind racing to understand my motivation before hesitantly moving to obey me. Without giving him time to object, I tread across the single step between us, crouching down to hoist him over my shoulder in a single, smooth motion. His datapad fell half-buried in the sand as his hands darted out to my back, a sharp gasp catching in his throat, and Wrecker’s laugh boomed across the dozen yards separating us from the grill.
“See?” I called, voice free of strain despite the way my hip balked from the effort. “This is what I do, Tech. It’s not a burden – you’re not a burden.” I bounced gently on the balls of my feet for emphasize and couldn’t help but grin at the way his breath caught in his throat.
“Y-yes; quite; you… you can put me down now.” He stammered, long legs stretching for the ground.
“Nah. I think he likes it up there.” Hunter teased as he approached us, thoughtlessly cleaning his knife of fish residue. Though I couldn’t see the expression on his face, I felt Tech turn sharply toward his brother and didn’t doubt the rage surely burning through his eyes.
“I told yuh she’s stronger than she looks!” Wrecker boasted. He was carrying a massive chunk of flaky meat atop one of the tree fronds, but his attention rested solely on us, pride shining in his eyes that drew a huff of laughter from me. I knew the pilot could have easily forced himself free, that he only refrained out of either respect or a reluctance to risk hurting me in the process. Regardless, my intent was merely to prove a point so, rather than dragging it out, I carefully lowered him back down.
Face a vibrant red, he quickly straightened his blacks indignantly. With a gentle smile, I retrieved his datapad and held it out for him. His blush only deepened in that brief moment of glancing toward me before accepting it, but he let out a short breath and nodded, jaw taut against what looked like the threat of his own smile, and I couldn’t help but wonder if Hunter was right…
Before my thoughts could wander over that possibility, the Sergeant’s expression suddenly dropped into an unimpressed stare, attention locked onto something just passed my shoulder.
“Ah.” Tech’s brief murmur held the same dismissive resignation as I followed their gazes and had to bite back the grin that tried to pull at my lips. Crosshair had finally caught up with us, armor apparently left behind on the Marauder along with his shirt. There wasn’t an ounce of shame in his eyes as he looked at each of his brothers in turn before letting his gaze rest on me, and I couldn’t begin to feign indifference.
There was something feline in the way his body moved, the tantalizing interplay of immaculately sculpted muscles emphasizing his every stride, and I couldn’t help but remember how perfect they felt beneath my hands as he towered over me in those moonlit woods, the strength of them as his weight pressed me into that scratchy blanket. He was paler than most clones, but the soft caramel of his skin held a warmth that still left me craving its touch, its scent, his taste.
Swallowing back the flare of want, I finally yielded, looking at him with the hunger he’d so effortlessly sent burning through me, and the smirk that instantly lit his face robbed me of any doubt that he’d known exactly what he was doing when he left the ship like that.
“Hope you put on some sunblock.” Hunter called, voice almost bored, but the taunt did nothing to deter the sniper’s pride. Crosshair’s lips pulled into a sneer, but before he could offer a retort, Wrecker interrupted them.
“Ah, you guys can bully each other later. Let’s eat!” I let out a quiet chuckle before pausing, glancing first toward the beach and then into the trees.
“Wait… Where’s Echo?” I asked, and the simple confusion in my voice twisted into a haunting dread at the way Hunter’s jaw tensed.
“He’s at the ship.” Crosshair answered, and I just caught the hard glare he shot his brother before schooling his face back into a nearly impassive disinterest. “Didn’t want to deal with the sand.” I could have pressed. I could have demanded they tell me the truth, admit that he was avoiding me rather than play into the lie, but I knew nothing would come of it. He didn’t want to see me. Nothing I said would change that simple hurt.
“Guess someone’ll just have to bring him some fish later.” My vain attempt at nonchalance fell painfully short, prompting a heaviness to the air around us that made my skin crawl. Drawing a quick breath, I turned my attention to the pile of meat Wrecker had carried from the fire. “Let’s not let it get cold.”
“What are you working on?” Short conversation had murmured between the brothers as we ate regarding empty speculations on where we might be sent next, if we’d be granted time to rest before the next mission, muttered complaints about how long it had been seen we’d found ourselves in an actual city, but as the meal ended, a less oppressive quiet settled between us.
Wrecker, stomach full and body warmed beneath the brilliant sun, lay dozing nearby while Hunter was busying himself with climbing the nearby cliff for a better view of the island. Crosshair had seated himself just near enough to me for his knee to occasionally brush mine, though he offered no reaction to those hidden touches as though they’d occurred by mere chance, so I pointedly turned my attention to the now nearly completed device in Tech’s hands. His eyes darted toward me for just a moment upon hearing my question before returning to his work.
“A tester scomp of sorts.” He stated absently, attention focused on piecing the remaining sheath atop the intricate series of wires. “This should grant us some warning against another malicious failsafe such as what we encountered at the outpost.” My interest instantly piqued, relief pouring through me for a worry I hadn’t realized I’d had. There was a time I would have been shocked that he’d been able to create something out of whatever lay about the Marauder, but I’d long since learned not to think such limitation to be a hindrance to the man before me.
“You think it’ll be able to trigger whatever trap that was?” I asked, voice hushed beneath a desperate hope.
“I’ll need to test it first… but, yes. While I doubt they’d attempt the same strategy twice, I believe caution is the appropriate tactic going forward.” Some of his words were drawn out, as though he’d nearly forgotten he was speaking as he finished attaching the final piece. Before I could reply, he pushed himself to his feet. “Excuse me – I’ll need to use the Marauder to verify it’s efficiency.”
With that, he quickly disappeared among the trees. With Hunter mere feet from the distant lip of shockingly pale stone and Wrecker making barely a sound as he slept, my mind revolted against the silence. It was too easy to fall back into the memory of those screams, to hear the crunch of bone in the sound of waves crashing against sand. As though I could feel him studying me, I glanced over to find Crosshair’s eyes trained on mine, and I briefly feared he could hear the way my heart raced.
Dismissing that worry, I hid my panic beneath a tiny smirk and let my gaze flick pointedly into the rich rainforests blanketing the island before looking back toward him, intent clear in my gaze. His brow twitched ever so slightly, jaw tensing beneath a want I was too eager to lose myself in. Without a word, I silently pushed myself to my feet, relieved to hear him following in my wake.
Barely a half dozen yards separated us from the tree line before his arm wrapped around my chest, and I couldn’t hold back the thrilled gasp as he pulled me flush to him, hunger instantly bursting through me at the heat of his powerful form. My hands automatically darted up to clasp his forearm, head tilting back to rest atop his shoulder as my lips readily pulled into a wide grin. I expected him to kiss me, felt myself shifting eagerly in anticipation, but he merely held me like that, watching me with a quiet that I couldn’t help but still beneath. His free hand slowly reached for me, fingers trailing lightly along my jaw.
Only after my body relaxed into him, intoxicated by the gentleness of his touch, did he kiss me, and I instantly found myself relishing in how quickly the world around us faded. It was effortless; forgetting the very existence of reality beyond that moment as I hid in the euphoria of his taste. Seeing him from afar, watching the sharpness of his glare, how readily that impatient scowl stole over his unapologetic face, assumptions of rough hands and sloppy lips were easy to imagine, but Maker, nothing was further from the truth.
Even now, despite my clear willingness for him, his every move held a reverence, as though convinced each second was its own revelation of some treasured secret revealed only through soft touches and the subtle dance of his kiss, and how could I not lose myself in him when he held me like that? The conviction of his worship forbade even a whisper of self-doubt. I felt cherished in a way I’d never before known, and it left be breathless, floating weightless in his embrace.
When he pulled back, haunted eyes searching mine for something I couldn’t begin to understand, I found myself torn, desperate for more of him while grasping for some means of ridding those amber eyes of whatever worries drew that subtle crease between his brows.
“You going to tell me what happened on the beach?” It wasn’t quite a whisper, but there was a softness to his raspy voice that would never cease to send that burst of heat through my chest. Still, I couldn’t begin to reach for an answer, mind still lost in the rush of his kiss. “You looked like you were about to start pacing.” He pressed, and I would have turned from him if I could remember how to feel shame over the want burning through me.
“It was too quiet.” I murmured, and from the way his gaze darkened, I didn’t doubt how thoroughly he understood.
“Not sure how I feel about you only coming me to when you have something you need to forget.” The regret that coiled in my stomach nearly ruined me, instantly sobering me of that thoughtless need as I withered beneath the threat of hurt in his voice.
“Cross…” His name fluttered from my lips absent any hope of finding some means of quieting his heartbreaking betrayal as I turned to face him, hands reaching up to whisper against his jaw, but I couldn’t deny what he’d said, and he knew it. I wanted to sob at the hesitation vainly hidden beneath a growing annoyance.
“Wait…” I barely breathed the hushed murmur before forcing some memory of strength back into my voice as his eyes turned pointedly away from me. “I… You’re right.” I loathed the way those words clawed up my throat. “I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to belittle this… us…” The fleeting urge to remind him that he’d offer me exactly that: a distraction, sat atop my tongue, rancid and bitter as I ached beneath the guilt of allowing him to feel like this when he’d so effortlessly filled me with that perfect bliss.
“I did look to you as a way to get away from…” Unwilling to force the nightmares into words, I motioned vaguely toward my head before returning my hand to his cheek. “But I swear, Cross… I don’t just want you for that… I want you.” My fingers shifted carefully against the rough stumble, subtly willing him closer to me. “I want you.” I whispered those tiny words with the full breadth of love that danced beneath my skin from his every touch, with the wonder and glee that burst through my chest at even a brief glimpse of his smile.
He didn’t fight me as I gently pulled him down to let my forehead rest against his, and I savored the intimacy of that closeness, thumbs gently sweeping across the ridge of his cheekbones. I didn’t try to claim his lips again, nor did I move to covet the tantalization display of his toned physique laid bare before me. In that moment, I needed nothing more than for him to believe me, that whatever relief his body might grant mine in a fit of passion paled beneath this; the simple act of holding him, of yielding beneath my want for his nearness and knowing he gleaned the same comfort in holding me, and when his arms slowly wrapped around my waist, I couldn’t suppress the shuddered breath that tumbled past my lips, my own arms instantly reaching out to lock around his broad shoulders.
“Do you want to go back to the beach?” I didn’t pull away as I let the words flutter through his hair after granting us a long while to merely bask in each other’s embrace. Without a word, he shook his head, and then his mouth was on mine. A tiny gasp caught in my throat as the sudden touch but found myself desperate for it, breath faltering in a whimper as his earlier tenderness quickly ceded beneath that hunger I’d so wanted to succumb to just moments prior.
He pressed harder into me, crowding me until I had to lean back, frightfully dependent on his touch to keep from falling, and I didn’t try to quiet the moan at that first caress of his tongue. His hand dropped down my waist to slide around my thigh, tugging the limb up to wrap around him, and I could feel the way he smirked at how easily he had me clinging to him.
“Say it again.” It was meant to be an order, but I could hear the need in it, and I offered no hesitation.
“I want you, Cross.” Murmuring the words against his lips, my fingers tangled into his hair, grip tightening just enough to emphasize my desire. Arm tightening around me, he stood up, hauling me effortlessly from the ground. Ignoring the ache of those barely sealed wounds, my other leg jerked up to lock around him as well, barely noticing the deceptively rough bark of a palm tree pressing against my back as my core burned from the heat radiating off him. Just as his hand began creeping beneath the hem of my shirt, a voice called out from the beach, rudely sending reality crashing back around us.
“Keep your clothes on.” Lips twisting into that familiar snarl, Crosshair let out a nearly growled breath, obstinately refusing to set me down.
“The kriff do you want, Hunter?” He shouted, refusing to so much as glance in the direction of his brother.
“We have to head out – wheels up in ten.” Disappointment replaced whatever embarrassment had begun darkening my cheeks, teeth catching about my lip as my body sank beneath a heavy sigh.
“What?! Why?!” He demanded, finally twisting his head back to stare at the foliage still protecting us from view. I tried to free my legs, but his grip only tightened, so I merely waited for his denial to cave.
“Orders came in.”
“We aren’t back from our last orders.” It was a useless objection, and he knew it, but his frustration forbid him from yielding so easily.
“Yeah… these aren’t for us.” Something about the reluctance in Hunter’s voice sent a chill down my spine, and I could feel Crosshair tense with that same apprehension. “They’re for her.” His annoyance instantly vanished, gaze darting to me with a confused dread that I couldn’t help but mirror.

For the Dancing and the Dreaming
Tumblr media
@photogirl894 Morgan, this is for you!!!! ❤️ I really hope you like it!!!!
Summery: Being a Jedi in the rise of the Empire is difficult. First because an old friend has become an enemy and second, you are in love with the Sergeant of Clone Force 99,.
But perhaps where you lack words, a song can change everything and say what is in your heart?
Warnings: Talk of blood; arguments; each thinks the other is dead but they're not.
Notes: I wish I wrote the reprisal to Dancing and the Dreaming but I did not; I attached the YouTube link to the song. The artist is amazing 😭 please check it out!!!!

Just start the story, right? Here you go XD
“What on earth are you thinking?”
You never argued with Hunter in all the time you’d served as the Batch’s general nor while on the run with them. You’d had disagreements but never arguments, so this sudden outburst caught you off guard. You stood up taller and straighter to exude an air of confidence, lifting your chin and setting your jaw. Your hand immediately went to the hilt of your saber, feeling the gold trimmings and etchings for comfort. Your blade was unique…yellow in color and you wanted the hilt to display that, even if it did call attention to itself. It was black but traced with gold designs of your choice …ironically, this was your only tell of uncomfort. He often picked up on it, but you noticed he didn’t now. He was too busy reprimanding you.
You sighed. “Hunter…”
“Don’t.”
“Don’t what? Don’t talk, or don’t go through with it.”
“Both!”
You scowled and crossed your arms over your chest.
Hunter paced about like a wild animal being pinned down, a look of desperation in his eye you’ve never seen before.
“She’s coming for me, Hunter. I have to do this to protect you. To protect Omega!”
“She’ll kill you!”
“Well thanks for the vote of confidence in my skill.”
“This has nothing to do with your skill and you know it. It isn’t a matter of ‘can’. Would you be able to kill her?”
You opened and shut your mouth a few times, trying to formulate an answer. He didn’t know what you had planned (he’d die the moment you told him for sure, so you kept it to yourself. By the way he was acting though, you wondered if he’d read your mind. You hoped he hadn’t acquired that skill. You’d be screwed.)
You had to say something to placate Hunter, but you didn’t know what. Yelena, the Inquisitor who was after you, was a long time friend from the Temple. You couldn’t contradict the multiple late night conversations you had with Hunter, telling him about how close you were, and crying over the loss of her to the dark side. You even admitted once you wouldn’t be able to do it if you had to. You were stronger in saber skills but her connection to the Force was uncannily strong, and quite frankly, frightening.
“That is beside the point.”
“It is ENTIRELY the point!” He threw his hands up in the air and turned from you, grasping the back of the pilot's chair.
“Hunter…”
Your voice was soft but it faltered. You reached out but stopped, uncertainty taking over. You’d loved this man for some time, but you never had the courage to tell him. You’d faced battle droids, sith and death itself head on with a heart of steel, but saying those three words terrified you. You were sure he didn’t feel the same. He couldn’t possibly. You wanted to believe that this outburst could have meant that he cared for you but it couldn’t. You didn’t know why exactly he was acting like this, but you knew it wasn’t that. You were his general, and only ever just his general. It was his job to look after you and old habits die hard.
His shoulder’s drooped.
“Ner ka’ra…”
Your head cocked to the side, eyebrow raised. You didn’t know that phrase. You never heard him say it before.
“I…we can’t lose you too. Please. Don’t.”
You blinked, and he was in front of you, towering over you, eyes boring into yours. His hands had come to be on your upper arms. His grip didn’t hurt, rather offered a sort of comfort and support. You could feel the vibration of every fiber of his being begging you to stay, an unspoken desperation.
You started to chew your lip and he remained silent, seeing he was getting through to you. You didn’t need to use the Force to know his breathing was heavy and uneven, or to feel the slight shake of his ever steady hand.
But what you did feel from him…anger, confusion, fear and something else? Something he was hiding…
You were going to step into his arms, to give him a reassuring hug when an image appeared before your eyes. You gasped and nearly fell to the floor.
In the mud of your mind, you thought you could hear Hunter calling your name. It echoed in the vast nothing that encompassed your head. Your legs started to give out and the grip on your arms started to dig. You realized you were falling.
You were heaving for breath.
Yelena was sending you a message: Come, or Hunter would pay the price.
Resolve set in, unlike before. Your spine straightened and you set your jaw, letting your eyes bore into his.
“No, Hunter. I’m leaving. I have to. Please…know it is for the best because…I care. Tell the others I said goodbye…and that I love you all, will you?”
And you were gone. Somehow you released yourself from his grip. Somehow you slipped away from him.
The feeling of you remained. A slight tingling causing his fingers to twitch. Hunter’s mind drifted to the first time…well, the only time he ever danced with you.
Notes came from the musicians' old instruments in the town square. A song long forgotten by many civilizations rang out and danced between the walls and the old cobblestone streets. Your heart nearly jumped in your throat from the giddy excitement. A buzz traveling from your brain to the tips of your fingers and toes.
“I can’t believe they know this song! They know it!”
You clamped your hands over your heart, shutting your eyes, swaying to the music and humming along the opening notes.
“It’s an old song from my home,” you smiled nostalgically, sighing into the land of memory.
The peace and happiness that settled over you was not lost on Hunter and he was glad Omega had requested the musicians to play it. He smiled, watching you, taking the picture of you in. It was some sort of holiday in town and everyone was in a giving mood. Wrecker was off somewhere eating food, Tech and Echo doing who knows what, while you, Hunter and Omega went exploring about town.
You had a wreath of flowers in your hair, little blue ones he thought you called “forget-me-nots.” They were your favorite, you’d told him that while gazing at the crown. The flower stall owner must have overheard you, because he gave them to you for free. Hunter was glad he did…you looked beautiful. The blues complimented the purple garments you wore. Ugh, he was staring and he had to stop! But it was keeping his mind off the fact he was trembling when he placed the crown on your head himself…
Omega heard you humming this tune one day and asked what it was called. “For the Dancing and the Dreaming.” you replied. “Someday, I’ll teach you the dance to the song. Right now, we gotta finish these repairs, ok kiddo? We can learn the words as we go, so long as Tech doesn’t mind the noise.”
Hunter hardly considered it noise. Your voice was one of the most lovely things he’d heard in a while *coughs, correction, ever*. Hearing you and Omega sing and laugh quickly became his favorite sound in all the galaxy. The harmonies you two created were…not as pleasant, at first. But the more the two of you sang and learned from each other, the better you got. They tried (and succeeded on a few occasions) to get Hunter to sing along with them. His deep baritone voice added something special to the music, or at least that is what you said, and he pretended like he believed you.
Apparently Omega hadn’t forgotten your promise to learn the dance.
Omega praddled up to your side, something curious in her eyes…Hunter had seen this kind of mischief before. What did Omega have up her sleeve?
She called out your name in a sing-song voice. “Won’t you pleeeease show us the dance! Please!”
You laughed, hardly needing the encouragement.
“Alright. But I’ll need a partner.”
You smiled sweetly at the girl, expecting her to volunteer. She put on a troubled face; Hunter knew her well enough to know it was staged. Though you knew her well, you didn’t have the talent of seeing through some of her acting yet.
“I…I think I should watch first. I’ve never danced before. Why don’t you dance with Hunter?!”
Ah, so that is what she was up to.
“Oh, ok.” You shifted a little uncomfortably. You coughed and cleared your throat, extending your hand to him with a tremor. “H-hunter, would you like to dance?”
What was he going to say? No?
“Sure, why not?” He shrugged, trying to play off the awkwardness. He cleared his own throat and took your hand, following you to the center of the town square (or circle, in this case). Omega giggled and followed close behind, keeping enough of a distance not to ‘ruin the magic’.
“It’s sort of a proposal song.” You coughed again. “It goes back and forth between the lovers…and so does the dance, here it goes like this.”
It would be a little difficult to start in the middle of the song but you thought you could make it work. You raised your hand, trying to explain the steps, getting Hunter to do the same. He placed his palm against yours. You took a deep breath in and your heart beat fast. You looked into his eyes and got lost. You froze, forgetting the steps you had just taught him. He was looking at you too, and you wondered what he was thinking.
The music jarred and stopped suddenly, waking you up from your daydream. You looked up, surprised at the musicians. The old man with the violin smiled knowingly at you and nodded, restarting the song.
Your voice rang out in a clear, perfect tone. Though you started to draw a crowd, it only felt like it was the two of you. Your vision tunneled on him, creating a cloud around everyone else.
There was nothing but the two of you. No sound other than the music and your breathing and heart beats. No sight except the one in front of you. No feeling beyond your partner.
You started to turn, and Hunter followed, anticipating your moves and catching your cues. You missed Omega’s satisfied, adoring eyes at how well her plan had worked.
“I'll swim and sail on savage seas
With ne'er a fear of drowning
And gladly ride the waves of life
If you will marry me
No scorching sun
Nor freezing cold
Will stop me on my journey
If you will promise me your heart
And love me for eternity”
Hunter made up his mind to follow you. It wasn’t a hard decision to make. There was no question.
He never thought about anything less.
— — —
The rocky, mountainous planet was kind of intimidating…you had to watch your step otherwise you could fall into a rocky canyon, a muddy ravine, or into deep, unending nothingness. The skies were gray like the world of rock around you, a storm threatening every minute. A rustling sound came from behind you. You spun around to find not your failed friend, now enemy but…
“Hunter, what are you doing here?”
“I’m not letting you face her alone.”
“She’s a master manipulator! Do you know what she’s capable of when she abuses the force! She could paralyze you or worse! She can instantly spot a weakness and know how to exploit it.”
“I can’t let her hurt you.”
“Hunter…”
“Ahhhh, look who finally decided to show up. I’ve been waiting for you.”
A voice you knew so well. Once full of sun and light now dark and foreboding. You knew it but didn’t recognize it.
“Yelena.”
“Took you long enough.” She crossed her arms, annoyed. “Surprised you brought the boyfriend considering my offer.”
“Boyfriend?” Hunter was taken aback. Yelena smirked at the new revelation.
“Yes. Don’t tell me she’s never told you how she feels about you. She had feelings for you during the Clone War…just imagine how it’s grown.”
You felt your face burn a deep red. You felt Hunter look at you more than you saw it. You pointedly ignored it.
“I won’t join you. I can’t join you.”
Yelena shrugged. “Hm, should we let the man have a say? After all, it seems you’ve been keeping things from him. Here’s the deal, good looking—“
You felt yourself die on the inside. Yelena swayed on her hip, she knew the effect she was having on you.
“I told Miss Perfect Jedi, here, she could either join me…or I’d rip her apart…” Yelena stepped forward; you extended your hand protectively in front of Hunter, moving to take the front. She still wasn’t looking at you though, she was addressing Hunter with a cruel gleam in her eye.
“Know how I’d do that?” Her smile was cold, and reveling in the ice. “By hurting you, precious.”
Hunter was stunned. From what he remembered of  Yelena was…she never bluffed. She always threatened truths…which made her promises terrifying…if she was threatening this…that meant?
He was frozen in his spot. He should have heard the blade ignited. He should have seen the glow of promised blood. He should have moved. But he didn’t, until it was too late. He felt an invisible grip hold him, invading his mind.
He couldn’t speak, he couldn’t move.
Nothing.
“Yelena stop! This isn’t you! You’re hurting, don’t let that destroy you!”
“You could have the same power. Join me!”
“Love will always be more powerful than hate. It takes more strength than to yield. Only the weak succumb.”
Anger crossed Yelena’s face…a boiling anger, and Hunter knew you’d crossed a line. She came forward, saber raised.
Hunter watched helpless as you placed yourself between Yelena and himself.
NO.
He watched as you embraced the red blade, saber going clean through you. The red blade entering and leaving your body.
Why would you do that for him?
Why?
His lungs refused to let in air. The tips of his fingers turned cold and his hands went numb. He knew he was clenching his fists but he couldn’t feel it.
He watched as you gasped, saw the single tear leave your eye, heard as an exhale of finality left your lungs as your body crumbled to the ground.
“My dear, that wasn’t very smart. Now you’re dying and he’s going to pay the price like I warned you he would.”
Yelena kicked you and Hunter saw your body slacken.
His muscles were tense and exhausted themselves from trying to move, trying to get to you. Anger flooded his veins like lava.
“Do you know why she always planned on taking the blade? You’re wondering why she didn’t just fight me off with her superior skills? Oh you didn’t know that; then let me tell you…Because she thought she could save me. Seems like she thought that would save you too. Looks like no one here is getting saved.” She grabbed the bandanna off his head. Letting it fall in place.
“Say goodbye, she’ll die before you reach the top…if you ever do. Personally, I’m rooting for your survival. Won’t that make the future interesting?”
With that, Yelena dropped him over the side of the cliff.
He free fell.
Down.
Down.
Crash.
All was black.
Last thing he remembered was seeing you laugh and how much he wanted to hear that again. All he wanted was to hold you. If he couldn’t in this life, maybe you could dance in his dream….or together again in the next.
My dearest one, my darling dear
Your mighty words astound me
But I've no need of mighty deeds
When I feel your arms around me
But I would bring you rings of gold
I'd even sing you poetry
And I would keep you from all harm
If you would stay beside me
I have no use for rings of gold
I care not for your poetry
I only want your hand to hold
I only want you near me
To love and kiss, to sweetly hold
For the dancing and the dreaming
Through all life's sorrows and delights
I'll keep your laugh inside me
Startled, Hunter jolted awake. Pain flashed across his body but he wasn’t as hurt as he should’ve been. Looking around, he saw he broke through layers of rock and landed on a cushioned area.
Thank the Force.
His relief was short-lived however. How long had he been asleep? Were you still alive? How long did you have?
Would you be laying there pale and motionless, waiting expectedly for him to come to you though he never came? His stomach lurched. It was near sunset…you couldn’t have survived this long.
Hanging his head, the tracker felt lost for the first time.
— — —
You woke up alone.
Abandoned.
You were right. Yelena couldn’t kill you either. You knew she didn’t have it in her. Maybe your act did some good yet. If only Hunter…wait. Hunter! You felt the earth around you, trying to evoke the memory of what happened there from the dirt.
You wished you hadn’t. Wanting to scream, a sob came out instead. Tears blurred your vision but in the mixing of colors, and swirling surrounding…red caught your eye.
Dragging yourself over to the spot where Hunter’s bandanna lay abandoned on the ground, you reached out and gently picked it up, bringing it to your face. Tenderly, you ran your fingers along the emblem, feeling the familiar fabric. Bringing it to your lips briefly, a new resolve filled you. You had to get up. Find the body. Honor him one last time.
You gasped and dragged yourself up, hands pinned to the wounds at your side.
No.
He was gone.
The sobs came, and you didn’t hinder the tears as they fell shamelessly from your eyes down your cheeks. Your side burned as if the saber was still inside you, twisting itself in circles, but that was nothing compared to the heaviness you felt in your heart. Your grief was overwhelming and threatened to subject you…but you couldn’t. You wouldn’t.
He wouldn’t want it. You’d live for him. It was your fault he was gone. You couldn’t give up when he sacrificed everything for you. An Inquisitor once boasted to you what hate could do for the will to live. Well, he had nothing on love.
The wound looked bad, but you bound it. You could beat this yet. You had to. You had to find Hunter, even if his spirit was one with the Force.
Unexpectedly, something pricked your brain…a happy memory turned bittersweet. A memory in the form of a song…you couldn’t sing that one now, but you could sing something in his honor.
Slowly the words came to you, and in as steady of a voice you could muster, you let the old melody carry the new words. Words you hoped conveyed to him what you felt.
Strain started to seep into the words and when you reached the apex of the song, all the sadness, anger, and bitterness was released in a word. You fell to your knees, and looked to the sky, letting the last note soar like you knew his spirit would.
More tears came but quietly, and a peace of resignation which somehow, somewhere, you knew was from him, settled in your heart.
— — —
My dearest one my darling dear
He knew that voice…. And that tune. It was yours. You were singing your song. He’d know it anywhere. How often had he gone over it in his head since the day you sang it?
Wait…
It was and it wasn’t. It sounded the same but the words were different…it felt different.
The tune seemed to surround him like a shroud. Grasping his heart. Squeezing it tight. Threatening to suffocate him where he laid.
It wasn’t fair…that you were killed. Your body lying motionless somewhere above him. He should be there crading you right now. Holding you. Reassuring you in your last breaths everything was going to be alright, only to see your eyebrow of disbelief and slight annoyance as you told him not to lie to you. He’d find some way to stop the blood; some way to keep you alive…or bring you back.
He should have told you long ago how he felt about you. About how you were his dream. His soulmate. The only dance he wanted to dance. He wanted to crown you again like he once did with the flowers you liked best (how appropriately named now!) And now it was too late.
Your voice seemed to echo what was in his heart. But there was something about it that was so strange. Perhaps It was because he never heard you more sorrowful or angry than he ever remembered.
It weighed on him; his heart threatening to break free from its cage with its violence. The heaviness that sunk in.
My mighty one has fallen
Images of Hunter laughing, smiling filled his mind. Unbidden, the flash of a vibroblade slashing countless enemies in smooth motions. The light of a yellow saber you loved that he used once when you both were pinned down and you tossed it to him in exchanges. The classic stance of a leader he always took, once on purpose, now out of habit.
The children weep for their protector
Flashes of the Batch flashed before his eyes. Omega inconsolable. Wrecker no better. The sorrow and rage he knew so well in Crosshair that he abated whenever he could. Tech mumbling, lost. Echo kneeling, shoulders dropped, hands gripping his head wondering what he could have done better.
The loved ones will be praying
He saw…you. For the first time ever with real grief and anger, yet something so soft he could have thought you loved him. You gripped at the wound in your side while your hand clutched at something else. He tried to focus on what he was seeing, zeroing in on your hand. You brought it up to your chest…gripping it like it was your lifeline, the only thing keeping you grounded to reality.
The unmistakable strip of red fabric, painted with a skull.
So we part again my love
He heard your real voice, strong and confident as ever, and realized it wasn’t in his head. Your voice rose above everything and rang out so clearly. He didn’t understand how it was possible but the realization hit Hunter that he was seeing your thoughts and hearing you as if you were one. Your voice was raw and agonized in pain as you called out. He resolved he’d get back to you at any cost.
My darling one
As he climbed, dancing figures floated in his vision, a ghost of beauty; the phantom feeling of your hand on his haunted his mind. An invisible hand guiding him to the top, telling you where to place his grip safely.
More memories came…strangely enough, strengthening him and not hindering.
Late nights on the Marauder…special innocent moments he dared not dwell upon as such, in case you didn’t feel for him the way he felt for you. Slight touches of hand, secret knowing looks, late night conversations.
And so the gods above will bless thee…
A vision of his family happy, all together once more, as they should be, but in a place he did not know, yet felt like home. Crosshair pretending to be annoyed with a laughing Wrecker—though the traces of a smile could be seen, Tech rambling off some facts with a smile, Echo crossing his arms and making a sassing remark, Omega playing with all the friends she’s ever made and a few he didn’t even know.
You and him.
Holding hands and beholding the family before them.
So the song ended…As the high notes lingered in the air, voice carried softly in the gentle breeze, Hunter almost reached the top.
The song stopped but the music echoed from stone to stone and brick to brick as the musicians let the tune linger a little longer, hearts not ready to completely give up the melody.
Your voice was gone. Your breath was gone, though you were driving it in heaves. Hunter was staring at you, and you at him. It was only the two of you. You, standing, blushing like a rose, questioning, uncertain. Him doing the same.
The chasm between you so far, yet only an arm’s reach away. Something so easily breached, yet near impossible to attain.
The final notes lingered, vibrato on the violin, a voice of the flute.
Hunter looked at you like he never did before, and your heart, for the first time began to hope, maybe, you could have a future. Perhaps he felt the same.
You had your eyes closed, trying to meditate. The air cooled and was a salve for your burning heart. It nipped at your nose and numbed your hands already, resting motionless on your thighs. You didn’t know how long you were kneeling there, still and silent, but your muscles felt stiff and unyielding. You knew you had to go, but you couldn’t. Not yet. You wanted to find him but something told you to stay a little longer yet. You didn’t know why, but you trusted anyway.
Somewhere, a bird started singing its farewell to the day. A lone call, begging it’s partner to assure it, it was still there and would return to it soon.
The single tune soon turned into a duet, and a smile tugged at your lips. You couldn’t help but feel everything would be ok.
The tune was beautiful, one you never heard before. You wondered if it was a mating song or perhaps these two in such perfect harmony knew each other so well they completed each other?
In the cacophony of notes, you heard your name.
Your eyes jolted open and you tripped over yourself.
The deep, husky voice couldn’t be real, could it? It was hard to tell because tears clouded your vision once more.
“Hunter? You’re alive! Hunter?!” You tried to get up, gasping at the pain you felt in your rush. Hunter was by your side in an instant. He fell to his knees, embracing you. All you could hear was your name repeated over and over with sobs in between loving gibberish coming from both of you.
In a moment of silence, Hunter brought his forehead to yours, a smile tugging at his lips. He chuckled airily, a tear falling from his eyes.
“I thought I lost you…but then, your song…it gave me the strength to climb and find you.”
“You heard it?”
“Yeah.”
His eyes were closed contently, just basking in the feeling of you being there. His hand cradled your face, thumb gracefully stroking your cheek. You brought your hand up to his, entwining his fingers with your own. Bringing your clasped hands down to your heart, you brought your other behind his neck.
Seeking silent permission, looking into his eyes, you saw all your love reflected back at you. His gray eyes started to match yours, melting to brown and glowing with the golden sun finally defeating the storm.
Hunter lowered his voice, lips next to your ear. It was nearly a whisper; his voice dry and wavering in the tumultuous emotion he was feeling. Yet despite that, it was the most beautiful you’d ever heard him sing.
No scorching sun
Nor freezing cold
Will stop me on my journey
If you will promise me your heart
And love. And love me for eternity”
He didn’t have a wreath of flowers, but he did the next best thing.
Untangling the cloth from your hands, he tied the red ribbon around your head, placing a gentle kiss on your crown.
It was your turn to huff. Your throat swollen with tears, yet your voice found a way.
My dearest one, my darling dear
Your mighty words astound me
But I've no need of mighty deeds
When I feel your arms around me
Hunter smiled, then wrapped his arms around you. You laughed fully now and giggled when he lifted you.
And I would keep you from all harm
If you would stay beside me
You laid your head on his chest, all anxiety and pain replaced with peace and love..
I only want your hand to hold
I only want you near me
He wasn’t going to let you have the last word.
I'll swim and sail on savage seas
With ne'er a fear of drowning
And gladly ride the waves of life
If you will marry me!
If you…..would marry me.
“Yes. Yes, please.”
“Thank you.”
“I love you.”

The Influx
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Wrecker is down bad for the fisherman’s daughter, though he hasn’t been able to summon the bravery to approach her… until tonight.
Rating/WC/POV: Teen because of kissing, I guess? 5700ish, 2nd.
A/N: not proof reading before posting because it’ll take me 726 years until I’m happy. Damn my perfectionism.

The din of Kamino’s waves crashing against the towering spindles of Tipoca city had always managed to mollify him. The rhythmic lullaby of that treacherous tide licking the belly of the building was amplified even further if the ever-shifting cold front overhead had crafted a storm; that booming thunder providing a near-perfect percussion for the music of the sea, and it was a song that saw him snoring within minutes of tucking his toes into bed. Yet the stillness of the ocean here on Pabu somehow also commanded the power to soothe his soul, and it was a calm that he hadn’t initially recognized; the lingering repose that dichotomously accompanied the constant ebb and flow of the Pabuan sea was as foreign to him as the warm embrace and unconditional welcome from the island’s citizens.
If you asked him what it was that kept him returning to the pier every morning, he’d hitch a quirky smile to that scarred face, and toss his hand in a wave of casual dismissal before launching into a myriad of superficial reasons: the smell of the salt in the air, and the way the sun baked the taste into his lips so that every word spoken between departing the dock and stepping into the refresher tasted like the remnants of a pleasant day. He’d remark that the radiant warmth of the beaming sun never had him itching against the unwanted beads of sweat that had a tendency form in the center of his back, the breeze off the water mercifully preventing the heat from becoming all-consuming and rendering him uncomfortable like so many of his previous missions on desert planets. He’d point upward to the sky where the flock of gulls swooping overhead never abeyed their cries of delight as the salty spray tickled their webbed toes. He would tell you that the hobby of fishing had anchored him in a way that nothing else ever had, as his years of enlisted service had never awarded him the luxury of leisure time, the chance for a hobby, or the opportunity for quiet, reflective solitude. And it was all so foreign… so foreign and so wonderful, and he’d happily spend eternity dangling his feet over the end of that old, sunburnt pier if the universe would allow it.
And while all of the aforementioned reasons were undoubtedly true, and while Pabu’s casual ethos had offered him a sense of comfort that Kamino’s oppressive rigidity never had, the true reason behind his continued return was something he would continue to keep close to his chest.
It was you.
The sight of you. The thought of you. The ringing music of your laughter and how it relentlessly raised the hair on his arms despite the breeze having carried it several dozen feet down the pier. How the dazzling sunlight danced across the surface of the water and set your eyes aglimmer. The way you never failed to lose your footing and stumble as you stepped into the hull of your father’s boat, the goading churn of the water momentarily robbing you of the innate poise that had Wrecker nearly certain you were an angel. The way your brows furrowed in exertion as you unwrapped that weather-worn rope from its elegant coil around the wooden post anchoring your vessel to the dock and looped it carefully over the intriguing slope of your shoulder. The sound of that elated sigh pouring from your lips as you departed the pier for the solace of open water, arms thrown wide to embrace the wind as your father engaged the throttle…
But mostly it was the way his chest seemed to hollow and ache as your figure retreated toward the horizon. That unexplainable feeling of missing you despite hardly knowing you. The longing that lingered beside his heart in the wake of your departure. The potent elation that ignited like a fire in his gut as the bow of your boat reappeared amongst the orange glow of the setting sun, and the twitter of anticipation in his gut that simply refused to subside until your features were near enough to exude the pleasant exhaustion mirrored by your father.
Today, however, had brought an unprecedented and unwelcome deviation to Wrecker’s routine, and something near a debilitating disappointment sat heavily in his chest as the sun neared the apex of its journey across the sky. Despite the spotless curtain of blue overhead intensifying the enamouring hue of the water, there was no sign of you. Every gentle swell of the sea below the solemn swings of his feet saw your empty boat knocking rhythmically against the legs of the pier like a tantalizing reminder of your absence. The bountiful schools of exotic fish drifting merrily in the current below his perch only intensified his disdain as they refused to offer even a moment of consideration for the sparkling lure he’d lowered into their depths some hours earlier.
It wasn’t until the perseverant pangs of hunger swelled to waves of nausea did he finally concede to that sad sense of defeat and pull his bait from the water, shouldering his rod and retreating to the familiar cool, ionized air of the Marauder.
“What’s up with you?” Hunter probed upon his arrival, cocking an eyebrow at the chagrin ghosting behind his brother’s heavily scarred features.
“Nuthin’,” Wrecker fibbed with a halfhearted shrug. “Just overdue for some grub.”
His teeth sunk eagerly into the tangy flesh of the meiloorun Lyanna had tossed him from behind a stall at the market yesterday, but the sweet nectar pooling around his lips and dribbling down his chin only managed to only partially lift his sodden, dour spirits despite placating the emptiness of his stomach.
“No sign of your girlfriend at the pier today?” the sergeant jeered, leaning casually against the backrest of the navicomputer chair, folding his arms across his broad chest and surveying his brother with a knowing smirk.
“She’s not my g— wait, how’d you know?” Wrecker wiped the stray juices from his lips with the back of his hand before tossing the pit of the fruit out the open door of the ship, and into the seemingly waiting beak of a white gull.
“We bore witness to her participation in a tree planting ceremony this morning, down in the lower hills,” Tech offered from the cockpit, his interjection muffled by the abrasive whirring of the condenser perched precariously on his knees, his beloved spanner clutched tightly in a hand smeared with dark, oily coolant.
“Looked awful purdy too,” Hunter added with an infuriating wink, jestingly punching his brother's elbow before clunking down the ramp and into the last of the afternoon sunshine. “Woulda chatted her up myself if I didn’t think you’d knock me out for it…”
Wrecker’s lips had barely parted to confirm that violent notion when the sound of a sharp gasp sent his shoulders jerking in alarm, and a tiny hand immediately encircled the crook of his elbow, drawing his attention downward to the blonde bundle of joy bouncing up and down on her toes.
“Wrecker!” Omega shrieked, her free hand balled into a fist of glee and hovering in front of the radiant smile that had crinkled her big, brown eyes. “You have a girlfriend?! Who? Where? Can I meet her? Let’s go!”
“I would surmise that based on Wrecker’s continued, futile attempts at secrecy and the lack of colloquial interaction between parties, the female in question is not yet aware of his affection.”
As if the strenuous task of prying the cover plate from its position over the condenser's maze of copper tubing hadn’t rendered his features utterly demented by the duress of his efforts, Tech spoke characteristically passively. “And Wrecker,” he continued as the cover plate clattered to the floor at his feet, “You may be interested to know: Pabu’s current obtuse positioning in relation to its moon, combined with the planet’s 11 degree axial tilt, is due to largely shift the dynamic of the sea’s undercurrents. It is an anomaly known as ‘The Influx’ and it only occurs once every 12.63 years. While the effects of this deviation are negligible on land, the change in current will present a paramount opportunity for—”
“Ugghhh,” Wrecker groaned audibly, growing increasingly embarrassed that he hadn’t managed to conceal his crush as well as he’d intended. “Tell me later, Tech. I’m hittin’ the refresher.”
Ten minutes in the cool sonic and a mouth-wateringly fresh seafood dinner saw Wrecker nearly returned to the typical genial demeanor that had Pabu’s youth constantly prodding at his back. The intrinsic robbery of your absence that had simmered in his gut throughout the morning and mid-afternoon continued to dissipate the with diminishing daylight; the saturated hues of pink and orange sweeping across the sky as the sun began its nightly kiss atop the horizon felt like a divine reassurance that everything was precisely as it should be.
Barely an hour after their squad arrived in the courtyard for a much-discussed night of music and dancing, Shep and a handful of his closest friends emerged from behind the Tree of Life; their broad shoulders slumped under the weight of various musical instruments, and the smiles on their sun-kissed faces promised a evening of good tunes and wholesome merriment. A particularly mellow opening number saw Omega scooped into Wrecker’s large arms, her tiny hand enveloped in his as he waltzed them theatrically around in a circle, her giggles lost amid the obnoxious, off-key croon pouring shamelessly from his mouth.
“Wreck! 8 o’clock!”
Detecting the familiar urgency in his sergeant’s voice, Wrecker ceased his boisterous serenade and craned to peer over his left shoulder.
A tingle erupted underneath his skin upon seeing your figure retreat behind the tall, stone handrail of the grand staircase, and the serenity of which the sunset had endowed him was instantly swallowed by the ineffable desire to join you on whatever adventure had you bypassing a party and disappearing into the increasing darkness.
“Wrecker,” Omega whined, sending a sharp poke to his shoulder. “Why’d you stop?”
He shook the desire from his head and wrenched his unfocussed gaze away from the stone landing, and the contemplative hum pouring mindlessly from his lips as he hurried to redirect his thoughts into an excuse was, according to the blond bundle still perched on his arm, an inadequate replacement for his egregious singing.
“Because it’s my turn for a dance,” Hunter interposed, correctly recognizing the flummoxed expression on his brother’s features. “You can stand on my boots like last time. Wreck, why don’t you go down to the pier for a stroll?”
The implications of the wide-eyed, knowing glance that Hunter sent his way as he reached for Omega’s hands was not lost on the love-sick soldier, and Wrecker offered nothing more than an appreciative nod and a casual salute before lowering her to the ground and turning toward the stairs.
The pounding of his heart in his ears deafened him to the repeated clunks of his boots atop the stone, and the smattering of applause that succeeded the final ringing chord of the same song that had him unknowingly waltzing around the courtyard in front of your very eyes, offered a perfect distraction to slip, unseen, into the darkness.
But you were moving with intention, your purposeful strides hardly faltering in their cadence as you hopped down from the last step and headed along the same sandy pathway that Wrecker’s heavy boots traversed every morning. He stumbled slightly in his haste to catch you, adrenaline surging heavily through his veins as he recovered his footing and relaxed his grip on the handrail. “Cool it, Wreck,” he told himself, swallowing the lump in his throat and resuming his descent.
He, of course, knew your name, but he didn’t dare call for you; he wasn’t entirely sure what he would say if you acknowledged his summon and turned your beautiful eyes expectedly in his direction. Instead, he simply followed quietly in your wake, admiring the way the blossoming light of the full moon danced across your skin, and frantically trying to funnel the myriad of conversation starters whirling about his mind into one coherent salutation that he could offer when the time came.
“I thought that was you behind me, Wrecker.”
You spoke before he even had the chance, turning unexpectedly to face him when he’d reached a proximity near enough to hear you; the smile doming your freckled cheeks was a little too knowing to be effortless, though its unexpected emergence banished all hints of suspicion from his mind.
“Oh… uh…” he stammered, lifting to run a calloused hand along the back of his neck, his eyes darting away from yours and coming to rest upon the waistband of the cargo pants that hung just a little too nicely around your hips. “Yeah… I— I missed you this mornin’, and I saw you head down the stairs so I—”
“You missed me?” you interrupted.
He swallowed heavily again. Was it that tiny, innocent tip of your ear toward your shoulder that had his fingers fidgeting anxiously at his side? Or was it the gentle purse of those lips as you fought to repress that refulgent grin?
“Well… I didn’t miss you, miss you,” he digressed feebly, certain that the heat sending his cheeks aflame was also threatening to spout funnels of steam from his ears. “Well I did… but I didn’t see you this mornin’ is what I meant. I was here fishin’… and… and you were there… treein’.”
‘Way to be cool,’ he grumbled inwardly, only barely repressing a roll of his dark eyes as the music of your soft chuckle raised the hairs on his arms.
“Well, you’re not wrong,” you assured him with a shrug. “My father’s back was giving him grief this morning. I was hoping a little rest might get him back to normal for the influx tonight, but he’s still pretty sore so I’m just going to have to put on my Captain’s hat and hope for the best.”
“The influx?” Wrecker repeated curiously, watching you step clumsily down into the hull of your teetering boat.
“Yeah,” you agreed once you’d regained your balance, jabbing a thumb over your shoulder toward the open water. “The undercurrent’s shifted south for the first time in years. Apparently it’s going to bring in some big fish from beyond the bay, and if I can wrangle at least a couple of them, it’ll give my dad the break that he needs.”
The ghost of Tech’s image flitted across Wrecker’s memory; his brows furrowed behind his goggles while he simultaneously snipped a copper cooling line and launched into a seemingly unimportant info-dump about an anomaly brought on by Pabu’s moon, and Wrecker was flooded with the irksome notion that maybe he should pay better attention to his brother’s verbose rambling.
“Well I’m not doin’ anything,” Wrecker offered with what he hoped was a casual shrug. “I can give you a hand, if ya want?”
His breath hitched in his chest as you paused, slender hand poised halfway toward the rope wrapped expertly around the post on the dock, eyes alight and twinkling as if impervious to the deepening nightfall.
“I would love that, Wrecker,” you finally admitted with an encouraging smile that sent his heart somersaulting into his belly. “Hop in.”
The moment he left the security of the dock and stepped carefully onto the rolling floor of the boat, his hands darted outward to steady himself. The addition of his weight in the vessel sent a cascading series of large ripples atop the surface of the water, and that moment saw him eternally grateful that none of his brothers were there to guffaw behind their hands at the way his knees wobbled with every step.
“Actually, would you mind driving?” you proposed as he turned and headed for the stern of the boat. “It’ll be faster if I unload the perimeter rods and fill the Livewell, as long as you’re comfortable behind the wheel?”
“Uhhhh, I don't know if you want me drivin’ to be honest,” Wrecker chuckled through an apologetic grimace. “My brothers are always tellin’ me I’ve got the spatial awareness of a blind bantha.”
The laugh that stole through your chest as you ignited a small lantern and placed it on the Skipper’s seat damn-near hypnotized him; that small shimmy of your shoulders under the exertion of your joy, the way your eyes crinkled shut to permit the expanse of your smile to dominate your features, and that absentminded little slap of the knee that gave away the authenticity of your mirth.
“Never heard that one before,” you chortled, sticking the Captain's key into the ignition and kicking the engine into life. “But I think you’ll be alright. Inside the bay is a zero wake zone anyway, so we can’t do anything more than glide until we’re out on open water. Just make sure to avoid the Narrows and we’ll be fine.”
Wrecker followed your subtle gesture toward the horizon, his eyes quickly falling upon the mentioned pairing of dark, jagged rock walls only visible by their stark contrast to the beaming reflection of the moon atop the placid stillness of the water.
“I trust you,” you added with a smile and an encouraging nod. “Come here. I’ll give you the low-down on how it all works.”
Inflated by your seemingly unwavering confidence in him, he returned your smile and trod carefully toward your position behind the wheel. It was a simple set up really, nothing like the vast array of intimidating controls distributed across the entire cockpit of the Marauder, and your gratifying gaze felt drastically less oppressive than the burn of Tech’s narrowed eyes every time someone other than Echo reached for the copilot wheel.
The Captain’s seat perched behind you appeared both squashy and weathered, the leather seat cracking and peeling in several places as its integrity failed to match the powerful union of saltwater and hot sun. The steering wheel near-perfectly matched its seat counterpart, worn in the two places where your father’s practiced hands had undoubtedly spent decades navigating the vessel. Perched on the dashboard was a small, primitive compass, its needle timidly reorienting as every churn of the sea below them shifted the vessel. On the left was the throttle lever, and immediately adjacent to that, a sonar screen of-sorts was already depicting various subaquatic movements of which Wrecker could make very little sense.
“Give me your hand,” you requested kindly, reaching for his palm without even a breath of hesitation.
Your touch was mystifying; as mesmerizing and powerful as a bolt of Kaminoan lightning, setting his very nerves aprickle as if waves of electricity were coursing under his skin from the place your fingers had touched his.
“Right now we’re in idle—”
He could barely discern your words over the pounding in his ears, yet he hung on every syllable as you gently draped his palm over the handle on the throttle.
“—first gear is one notch down, second is down one more, and then reverse at the bottom—”
Surely you could hear his heart pumping so thunderously against his chest? And if that beaming moonlight wasn’t exposing just how flushed his cheeks had become, he’d eat his own boots. Yet you looked upward at him with that same adoring smile, as if there wasn’t a force anywhere on the planet that could deter you from keeping your hand atop his.
“—stay in first while we’re in the bay—”
Was his touch sending your stomach aflutter too? Were you as enamored with his eyes as he was with yours?
“—once we get past the rocks, change to second and we’ll head a few klicks west to get to where the rock shelf drops off—”
Was it painfully obvious just how much he was struggling to focus?
“—I’ll give you a thumbs up from the stern when we’re in the right spot. Sound good?”
“Glide while we’re in the bay,” he somehow repeated, his self confidence failing to reach the same degree of your implicit trust in him. “Second gear once we pass through the rocks, and then go until you give me the signal. Got it.”
With a level of concentration typically reserved for manning the tailgun amid a firefight, Wrecker furrowed his brow and steered the boat from the dock as you stumbled toward the starboard side of the boat and began unlatching several compartments.
Gliding across the still waters of the bay, where his reflection shone as clearly atop the surface of the water as it would in the refresher mirror, offered him a sense of glorious insignificance. The expanse of the sea felt nothing like the immensity of the sky where the utter lack of organic life often felt suffocating and restrictive. Below the tipping hull of this old boat was a world of its own, teeming with action and eternally unaffected by the ruination of war and destruction; a self-sustaining paradise for every ecosystem that resided amongst the currents, and he knew instantly this was a sensation that would have brought all of his brothers to their knees.
Yet nothing commanded his admiration quite like you did. He watched in pure adulation as you pulled half a dozen rods from a hidden storage container and laid them carefully on the floor. Horrified that whatever pitiful remnants of his composure might simply abandon him, he enthusiastically averted his eyes as you bent forward and disengaged the latch in the Livewell tank, filling it with the cool water needed to keep your bounty fresh and preserved until your return to shore. Once certain that your rear end was no longer pointed high in the sky, he risked another glance in your direction, only to have that devastating sense of longing surge through his chest. Framed by the dark outcrops of rock now flanking you on either side, your posture nearly stole his breath; arms thrown wide, head tipped back, and hair blowing wildly off your shoulders.
He stifled a grin and dropped his gaze to the throttle lever still casually anchoring his left hand. A little downward pressure had second gear activated, the engine roaring into life, and a genuine chuckle pouring from his salty lips.
The innocuous licks of the water tickling the sides of the vessel quickly turned deafening as each rolling wave saw the floor beneath his feet heaving and crashing onto the surface.
His arms were soon drenched in sea spray, yet he refused to shudder at the sensation as being on the open water, away from the shelter of shore and the stability of land was a feeling unlike anything else he’d ever experienced. It wasn’t isolating as he’d expected… he felt wonderfully small and truly free.
“You good back there?” you called to him, your voice almost entirely lost amid the power of the wind dancing across his ears and around his neck.
“I’m great!” he shouted back, savouring the way you beamed at him.
He’d never know if it was minutes or hours until he caught sight of your promised signal, the roar of the engine subsiding to nothing but a quiet hum as he returned the engine to idle.
“I think we’re in the right spot,” you sang, excitement triggering you to rub your palms together. “Can you help me toss the lines out?”
“Now that I can do,” he chuckled, cracking his knuckles before scooping the lantern from the skippers seat and departing the wheel.
“As far as you can,” you encouraged, taking the lantern from him and exchanging it with the nearest rod. “There’s holders every couple feet. We’ll cast out and then cross our fingers.”
The praise that you bestowed upon him after every broad toss of the line into the water swelled his chest and widened his shoulders. It wasn’t until each rod had been situated carefully in a holder, and the lantern placed delicately on the ground between your feet and his, did Wrecker’s gut begin to simmer with nerves once again.
“Where are you from?” you asked through the ringing quiet, the only discernible noises above the rhythmic licks of the water were the tiny clicks of each reel unspooling more and more line as the turbulent waves pulled the lures deeper below the surface. “I see you every morning at the pier but we don’t ever get to talk much.”
“I’m uh… from Kamino.” He tore his eyes from the nearest rod and glanced bashfully in your direction.
“I don’t think I’ve ever heard of it,” you admitted with a snort, hands reaching delicately for the nearest rod and slowly cranking the reel to recoil the line. “But my father and I landed on the island when I was a little kid and we haven't left since, so… I’m a little bit sheltered. What’s Kamino like?”
Wrecker let a contemplative hum issue from his nose, his mind whirring as he tried to find words to properly describe the insufferable sterility of Tipoca City, and the complicated relationship he’d had with it before its obliteration. “It’s… Kamino,” he finally replied. “And most of it’s destroyed now. It used to storm almost every day. If we got even a splinter of sun, we’d all fight to get to the windows so we could look outside. It was a water planet, so the cities were built up on tall towers in the middle of the ocean. But it's weird… the sea there isn’t like here. It was rough and dangerous, and so cold that every time you got splashed, it felt like you were getting stung by somethin’...”
“Was there no land?” you asked incredulously, those enticing lips parting just enough to distract him. “How did you get your hands dirty as a kid?”
“Well… we found ways,” Wrecker shrugged, looking downward at his palms. “Me and my brothers were always gettin’ into somethin’ we shouldn’t have been. I’ll never forget the time Tech asked me to hang him upside down by the ankles so he could crawl into the garbage chute. He… uh… he likes researchin’ things, and there’s not much else to research on Kamino. I could hear him gibberin’ on about compost while he was hangin’ there, but Nala Se snuck up behind me and scared me so bad that I let go.”
“Let go?” you snorted, eyes wide and sparkling. “You dropped him into the trash?!”
“Not on purpose,” Wrecker defended with a reminiscent smirk. “But yeah. It’s alrigh’ though. He was only mad for a few hours, then he paid me back by lecturing me about fruit flies and their ‘growth cycles’ for a week.”
“I like him already,” you grinned, turning your attention back to the spool in your hands. “He sounds kinda… different.”
“He is,” Wrecker affirmed with a nod, failing to stop that smile that always peeled across his face when he spoke of his family. “All of us are in our own ways.”
“Well, can I meet them?” you queried, glancing back at him with your eyebrows raised.
“You— you want to?” he stammered back.
“I’d love to… if that’s alright with yo–?”
A loud gasp fractured your sentence, the rod in your hand having lurched nearly entirely from your clutches as something below the rippling surface of the water bit down on the lure and took off. Your body leaped into almost masterful action, your hands intensifying their grip around that graphite pole while your left leg lifted to brace yourself against the powerful tug toward the water. Wrecker froze in place, his mind still twirling happily with the notion of you wanting to meet the people he loved most, and it wasn’t until you muttered a string of undignified curse words did he reawaken to the challenge at hand.
“Maker,” you gasped as you lost your balance, your foot slipping from its position perched on the side of the boat and sending your hip crashing into the wall. “Wreck! Can— can you grab the net?”
Wrecker swallowed at the sight of the rod in your hands bent nearly in half under the duress of the unseen prize still desperately fighting for its freedom in the depths of the dark water. “Wrecker! Net!” you urged as you stumbled again.
“Net…” he repeated frantically. “Right.”
It must have only been seconds… fractions of seconds since he stooped to snatch the tool from the floor, but by the time he’d straightened up, the entirety of your torso had disappeared over the side of the boat, the muscles in your legs still seizing in an effort to keep you upright despite that unrelenting pull downward.
“This— this fish is… huge,” you managed to choke out.
The next several seconds played out in half time; each moment lasting two, each movement lagging as if the events were truly happening in slow motion. Your feet departed the floor, the soles of your shoes rising to waist height… then higher… as your body teetered over the edge of the boat, anchored in place only by the bend at your waist, and even that feeble grip began to diminish as the struggle to subdue your monstrous catch continued. Wrecker acted without coherent thought, darting forward and wrapping his arms around your waist to secure you, lest you tip any farther forward and disappear into that surging sea.
Your addition of your weight was nothing to him, even combined with the efforts of the still unseen aquatic beast, but now free of the risk of toppling overboard you seemed to funnel every ounce of energy into rigorously cranking the line back onto the reel. He took a step backward and away from the water, determined to keep you safe and dry, but a foreign object had found its way into the path of his retreating boots, and his heel knocked heavily against something before his ears were met with a deafening shatter. The boat was thrown into darkness, and the pair of you toppled with a thunderous crash to the floor.
There wasn’t the time or the wherewithal to relish in the feeling of your body against his. He saw his hands clutching tightly at your hips before he even felt them under his fingers. He could smell the pleasant aroma of your hair in his nose before he’d even realized he was sprawled onto the damp floor with your body perched awkwardly atop of his, and that musical laughter began pouring from your smiling lips before any semblance of understanding returned to him.
And when it finally did? Panic… erupting inside of him like a volcano. He was holding you. You were on top of him. He could feel every swell in your body, every subtle shake of your laughing shoulders. He could count the freckles on your back. He could feel your hand placed gently atop his. The rear end that he’d deliberately avoided ogling at was now nestled securely in his lap and it threatened to utterly destabilize him.
“Maker, we botched that one didn’t we?” you chortled as you shifted your hips and tumbled off of him, rolling onto your back beside him and nudging the now shattered lantern out of your space. “I think I lost the whole rod.”
He attempted to clear the shock from his throat, yet his lungs seemed to be completely void of the breath required to complete the task and nothing but a strangled choke left his lips. His skin was on fire. Spiked adrenaline was threatening to set his hands atremble. Surely this is how he would die… lovesick to the point of suffocation. Not falling from a towering height like his nightmares had always imbued him with, but laying side by side with someone who he cared for so deeply that even breathing felt like a challenge.
“Thanks for saving my ass, Wrecker,” you spoke, nestling your head against his arm.
You shifted your gaze to look upward at him, that beguiling twinkle in your eyes somehow even brighter now that the lantern had been extinguished; those stunning glassy orbs sending his mind spinning near-painfully as he fought to find the cognition to answer you.
“You’re… you’re ass—” he stammered, feeling his face burn red hot. “I mean, you’re welcome!”
A delicate snort was your knee jerk response, and the silence that ensued afterward was so stifling… so insufferable… that Wrecker was half a heartbeat away from clambering to his feet and pitching himself headfirst into the water to escape the embarrassment.
“Wrecker…” you mumbled suddenly, breaking into his panicked thoughts. “Why did you come find me tonight?”
“Because…” he started quietly after swallowing heavily. “Well because I— I wanted to see you.”
“Do you maybe want to see me more often?”
He snapped his head in your direction, brows furrowed together as the implications of your questions flitted into his brain. “I want to see you all the time,” he answered, his gaze betraying him by darting back and forth between your eyes and your smiling lips.
“Me too.”
His lips fell open as those freckled cheeks drew nearer, your sparkling eyes disappearing as your lids fluttered closed. He froze, his own sight disappearing as your hand reached forward and cupped around his jaw, your lips descending slowly and tenderly onto his. An explosion unlike anything he’d ever crafted went off in deep in the part of his stomach where only the deepest and most intense feelings emerged; euphoria had him utterly floating. There was simply nothing else. No one else. No fish in the sea. No stars in the sky. Nothing but the warmth of your hands on his skin, and the gentle swipe of your tongue along his lip. His hand found the curves of your body without coherent thought, pausing to linger at the curve of your hip for only a moment before trailing softly up your back until his fingers wove themselves into your hair.
But it was over before it began. You pulled from him abruptly, head snapping around as three more rods suddenly began to whir and noisily unravel their tightly coiled spools of line. “Oh, Maker,” you sighed. “How about you reel them in this time, and I’ll net and tank them?” you proposed.
“Deal,” Wrecker answered, shaking his head in complete disbelief as you stood up and darted towards the farthest rod.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
You knew this was going to happen the second you did it. Honestly, you were practically asking for it. You, plus Mantell Mix, plus Wrecker? Oh, yeah, he was definitely going to be asking for some of your favorite snack. Especially when you sat on his lap, curling into his chest, your head resting on his shoulder. It was practically a dream come true for him. (You were almost certain he had had a dream like this. It at least seemed like it, given how you would sometimes wake to him muttering your name and Mantell Mix in his sleep.) Wrecker had no right, though, to take your not-so-innocent plan and make you melt.
Damn Wrecker. Damn him and his pretty face. Maker, why did he have to have such a sweet face? A perfect pout? Beautiful brown eyes that made your insides feel all gooey? You swore his enhancement wasn’t to be bigger and stronger than his brothers. No, it was to get anything he wanted if he would jut his lip out and make his eyes all big and wide. It wasn’t fair. (Though, you mused, he might say the same about you when you ask if you could snuggle with Lula. It evens out. But still. Totally unfair.)
If you were honest, you loved it. There wasn’t much you wouldn’t do for Wrecker. It had been Wrecker who insisted that you join him and his brothers. It had been Wrecker who watched your back at every turn. It had been Wrecker who was there for you when you mourned the loss of everything the war took from. It had been Wrecker who bundled you up in his arms, squeezing you so tight you could barely breathe just so you could feel something. He kissed your every wound. He checked all your weapons. He taught you how to disarm bombs. He was there for you for everything you ever could have wanted and needed him for.
But dammit, some things were sacred.
As he looked at you, his bottom lip sticking out, you reached up, poking his lip, pushing it back in. “No,” you said, a laugh bubbling up in you. “Get your own.”
“Cid said I’m not allowed to put things on her tab anymore!”
“Then get some credits of your own, big boy.” You patted his chest before turning back to your Mantell Mix.
“It tastes better when it’s yours!” he tried, reaching out, hoping to grab some of your snack before you could yank it away. He pouted again when you held it as far away from his as you could manage. “C’mon, mesh’la, don’t be mean!”
If you were being extra honest, you would admit that you had only done this because you love how prettily Wrecker begs. When you got the Mantell Mix, you had full intentions of sharing it with him. But, where was the fun in just being nice? Wasn’t it better to perch yourself on his lap, his favorite snack within arm’s reach? Wasn’t it better to see him whine and pout and plead?
His fingers dug into your hips. You squirmed in his lap, trying to get away. Okay, perhaps you also liked to push his buttons a little too much. Perhaps you also liked it—loved it—when he manhandled you. Perhaps you had a lot of ulterior motives in doing this.
Wrecker nuzzled his face into the crook of your neck. Then— he pulled away, looked away from you. Nose stuck in the air, as if he was pretending to be those hoity toity well-to-do people that act like the rest of the galaxy is beneath them. “Fine. You don’t get to cuddle Lula tonight then!”
You gasped. “How dare you! That’s not fair!”
Wrecker shrugged. “Shoulda thoughta that before you were stingy, mesh’la.”
“I’ll share my snack if you share Lula,” you bargained.
He shook his head. “Nuh uh. Too late for that now.”
It was your turn to pout now. Wrecker’s resolve cracked ever so slightly as you gave him your most pitiful look. But, when Wrecker really wanted something, it was going to take a lot more than a pout to break him. So, instead, you began to wiggled yourself out of his embrace, looking around the Marauder to find your would-be victim.
“Fine,” you said, your feet touching the ground. “Y’know, I think I heard Echo say that he was kinda hungry. Think I might go share with him—”
Wrecker’s arms became your prison. He squeezed you so tight you thought you might explode as he hauled you back onto his lap. His lip curled ever so slightly. Okay. It was a bit of a low blow, acting like you were going to share with one of his brothers. But you and him both knew you wouldn’t. The only other person you would share with was Omega. (After all, who could say no to her?) His brothers, on the other hand? Off limits. No snack sharing, not one bit.
“You better not,” he growled, the sound a deep, low rumble in his chest.
A smirk tugged at your lips. “Or what? Already took Lula away. What’s next? Gonna deprive me of your snuggles?”
“I might!” As you raised a brow at him, he frowned. His head dipped while he let out a quiet, “No.”
“Mm, what a predicament we’re in.” You held the Mantell Mix out to him. “Whatd’ya say we call a truce?”
“I don’t know about a truce, but I ain’t sharing!”
You laughed. You took some of your snack and lifted it to his mouth. His mouth dropped, letting you feed it to him. “Can I have Lula tonight now?”
Wrecker thought as he chewed. “Dunno.”
You fed him some more of the snack. “Now?”
“Maybe.”
You set the carton to the side, giggling as his brows furrowed together. You cupped his face in your hands, leaning in, and gave him the biggest kiss you could imagine. “Now?” you asked again.
“…yeah, okay.” He kissed you again. “But can I have s’more of the Mantell Mix, please?”
You nodded, laughing quietly. “Sharing is caring, after all.”
“But not with the others!”
“No, not with the others.”

Sleepless Nights
Tumblr media
AN: Had an idea for the reader as the batch's Jedi General finding it hard to sleep when she's on Kamino with them (their room is probably so miserable and also the couch is the only open real estate LOL), turned into cute drabbles for every member of the batch! Enjoy ♥♥
Relationships: Did a drabble for every member of the Batch individually; established relationship for all of them!
Summary: You are the Jedi General for the Bad Batch. On a rare stay on Kamino, you find yourself restless in the Batch's barracks. You sneak away in hopes of making yourself sleepy, but with little luck. Thankfully, your favorite clone sweetheart finds you and does his best to help.
WARNINGS: They are all just fluff EXCEPT HUNTER bc he is a whore (fingering, dirty talk) - put him last in line to be safe/in case u do not want to deal with him (VALID)
Word Count: About 2k per boy, ~6.5k total!
Tumblr media
Try as you might to fade off to sleep, you can’t do much more than stare at the ceiling.
In an event nearly as rare as a cool day on Mustafar, the Bad Batch had returned to Kamino for a brief stay. Though the visit wouldn’t last long—just enough time to refuel and restock—you now find yourself staying overnight in the Batch’s barracks. Since you’ve become their “de facto” Jedi General, they were kind enough to clear some space in their very cluttered room so that you had a place to sleep on the couch by the window.
And, as considerate a gesture as that was, the stiff Kaminoan furniture fails to bring you the same comfort as your bed in the temple.
Sighing quietly, you loll your head to the side, making out the room in the faint light. Unlike you, it seemed all five of your companions slept soundly. Tech had passed out, datapad in hand, while Echo slept bundled under a dozen blankets in his makeshift hammock. Hunter’s long hair was a complete mess, and Crosshair was about as quiet and stiff as a corpse. Wrecker, in contrast, snored so loudly that you weren’t certain how any of you ever got any rest. But even with how loud he was, the other four had all managed to lapse into their dreams, getting all the rest they needed before you were to set out in the morning.
So even among the odd ones out, you were odder, still.
Wearily, you rub your eyes, turning away to look up at the window. Little drops of rain flecked against the transparisteel, and watching them roll down eased your mind. When you were younger—back before the war—rainy days on Coruscant were something you looked forward to. Your master would kindly allow you to stay in for the day, trading your studies for many hours spent reading with a hot cup of tea at your side. Though you couldn’t enjoy such luxuries anymore, the rain still brought you a warm feeling of nostalgia… a comfort that could rarely be replicated.
It makes you wonder if such a feeling could be the cure for your insomnia.
With one last glance at your companions, you gingerly shed the blanket you’ve been resting under. Careful not to make any noise, you step into your slippers and get to your feet. Though the chilly temperature of the Kaminoan facilities isn’t exactly pleasant in your shorts and tank top, you grab your blanket and power through it. Having spent as much time on Kamino as you have during the war, you’ve found a few places that you like to run off to every now and then—and you know that the spot you have in mind will make powering through the cold more than worth it.
Carefully, you tiptoe through the piles of electronics, mementos and trophies that litter the Batch’s room, making sure not to disturb a single thing as you make your way to the door. When you reach it at last, you let out the breath you’d been holding. With one last peek over your shoulder to ensure you haven’t disturbed any of your friends, you open the door—closing it just as swiftly when you’re on the other side.
Though they remain lit in a blinding white, the halls of Tipoca City are largely empty at this hour. You’re more than thankful for that, since you can’t imagine the looks you’d get walking around in your pajamas. You wind through the corridors, eventually making your way to a secluded elevator. When you enter, the door closes behind you, and you’re lifted up to your destination.
The elevator releases you into a small, quiet room with a large overhang and a window open to the elements at the far end. You would describe it as a “viewing deck”, but it was unlike the Kaminoans to build anything for sentimental value. Even still, the room served such a purpose for you, and that was good enough. You walk inside, and the room darkens as the elevator door shuts behind you. Only the ambient glow of the grey, stormy night over Kamino remains, and you couldn’t appreciate it more.
You roam a bit closer to the exposed window, and just as the cool breeze strikes you, you stop. Gently, you take a seat on the floor, facing the open sky. You deeply breathe in the smell of the rain, filled with memories of better days. The raindrops strike against the metal roof, and for a while, you simply sit in silence. Bundling your blanket around your shoulders a bit more tightly, you pout—though you feel more relaxed, it seems sleepiness is still not in your stars. It’s frustrating to say the least, and you can’t help but sigh.
You wonder if you’ll ever be able to rest tonight.
After a short while, something catches you by surprise. Without warning, you hear the quiet hum of the elevator doors. You’re nearly worried that the Kaminoans have come to chastise you for sneaking off into some secret lab of theirs. But when you look over your shoulder, peering through the yellow glow of the elevator lights, you see…
Tumblr media
WRECKER
… the large frame of Wrecker, who stumbles into the room.
The poor thing’s eyes switch between half-lidded and fully closed, and it’s clear from the way he wobbles as he walks that he isn’t fully awake. However, that fact obviously hasn’t dampened his resolve to find you—something that you find all too adorable.
“Wrecker?” you call to him. In the sweetest way, he perks up when he hears your voice.
“... little tooka?” he grumbles, referring to you by the adorable nickname he’d given you when you first met. Rubbing one of his eyes, he tromps over to where you’re sitting. Before you can say another word, he plops down beside you, swiftly burgling you into his lap. You giggle in surprise—more so when he wraps you up tight in his big arms.
“Wrecker…!” you beam, wriggling in his embrace until you’re able to kiss his cheek. “What are you doing up, handsome? It’s late!”
Wrecker heaves a heavy sigh, keeping you snug in his embrace.
“You… you were gone…” he murmurs, rubbing his cheek absently against your head as he speaks. “Missed you…”
His voice trails off into a quiet hum, and he sets a gentle kiss on your temple. You’ve always enjoyed being in Wrecker’s embrace—short of being a Wookiee, he’s the biggest and cuddliest man in the whole galaxy. But with the war going on, you often find yourself hugging him when he’s wearing his cold, hard armor.
Tonight, however, he has no gear to speak of. With him in his blacks, you aren’t separated from him by a layer of plastoid-alloy composite. You can feel the warmth of his broad chest beneath the soft fabric, and his muscular arms make you feel safer than anything. He gives you soft butterfly kisses all over your face, lazily petting your head. You smile softly—he treats you just as kindly as he treats his Lula.
“I’m glad you came up here, but… you didn’t have to come looking for me, handsome,” you assure him. “I would’ve come back to the barracks eventually. I was just feeling a little restless, is all.”
Wrecker nods slowly, though with the way his eyes are firmly shut, you have no doubt he missed every word you said.
“Yeah, uh-huh…” he mumbles. He pauses for a moment, drawing a deep, steady breath. “... I love you so much.”
With a bright smile, you kiss his cheek. “I love you, too, Wrecker.”
Those words, in particular, manage to break through his sleepy haze. He dons a big grin—one so sweet you can’t help but giggle.
“I just wanna hold you like this forever,” he sighs. For a moment, his eyes open, and with the sweetest, meekest tone, he asks, “Will you always be my little tooka?”
Your heart aches with overwhelming affection for your poor, sleepy sweetheart. Gingerly, you drape your arms around his neck, drawing him in for a long, loving kiss—one that you hope tells him you’ll always be his better than words ever could.
When your lips part, he smiles again, bumping his nose awkwardly against yours. You laugh, giving him one last quick peck.
“Wrecker… as long as you stay this sweet, I’ll always, always be your little tooka,” you assure him, resting your forehead on his. “And nothing will ever change that. I promise.”
Overwhelmed with love, Wrecker lets out a big, happy sigh—cuddling you even closer against his chest.
“Little tooka… you’re the best girl in the whole galaxy,” he hums with the utmost contentment, “I love you so much, it… it’s not even funny.”
Though you smile at his outpouring of affection, you find yourself yawning for the first time that night. Something about the way Wrecker holds you so close, the rhythmic way his fingers run across your scalp, the warmth of his body against the cold of the stormy night…
Against all odds, you think your sweetheart is just the one to coax you off to sleep.
The two of you sit quietly for a short while, exchanging sweet nothings to one another as the rain turns from a churning storm to a gentle shower. When your eyelids feel about as heavy as Wrecker’s, you look up to him with a smile, setting your hand on his cheek.
“Well, sweetheart… we should probably head back to the barracks,” you whisper. “We don’t want the others to think we’ve gone missing when they wake up.”
With an obedient nod, Wrecker gets to his feet—carrying you in his arms all the while. Just as tired as he was when he came up to find you, he hobbles back to the elevator, though not without a kiss on your forehead along the way.
Wrecker carries you all the way back to the barracks, and though you expect him to lay you back down in your spot on the couch, he instead keeps you in his arms all the way to his bunk. Even as he retreats back under his covers, he holds onto you, making sure you’re snug as a brindlebug when he settles down at last—and in Wrecker’s arms, how could you be anything but?
With you cozy against his chest, Wrecker smiles down at you, giving you one last kiss on the forehead.
“Goodnight, lil’ tooka,” he whispers, “I love you.”
With a bright smile, you nuzzle your head into his neck as you wrap your arms around him (well, as close to “around him” as your arms can reach).
“Goodnight, Wrecker… I love you, too,” you answer.
And at long last, you fall asleep—finally comfortable in the arms of the sweetest boy in the galaxy.
Tumblr media
ECHO
…Echo, whose bright eyes soften when you meet them. Though he clearly came to find you, he looks almost shy as he enters the room, stepping softly as he approaches your side.
“Mind if I join you?” he asks, rubbing the back of his neck.
You smile. “Of course, Echo.”
Reassured by your words, Echo takes a seat to your right, heaving a long sigh as he stares into the storm pouring over Tipoca City. At first, he keeps quiet, as though not wanting to interrupt your peaceful silence. But when you lean your head on his shoulder, batting your eyes at him with a kind smile, he finds his courage.
“Can’t sleep?” he guesses.
With a lazy nod, you sigh.
“Yup. Just couldn’t keep my eyes closed,” you lament. “Usually, listening to the rain helps me get tired, but even that’s not working tonight…”
Echo chuckles. He wraps his arm around your waist, drawing gentle circles on your side with his thumb.
“Yeah… I’m right there with you,” he says. “If it’s not nightmares about Skako Minor, it’s Wrecker’s snoring. Either way, I’m lucky if I can get any rest.”
You flash him a sad smile, dotting a quick kiss on the corner of his mouth as a means to share your sympathy. With all he’s endured, you know just how hard Echo has had to fight on and off the battlefield to keep himself afloat. He’s told you time and again how much your love helps, and you hope he knows just how happy you are to give it.
“Well… I guess we’re in good company, then,” you smile, nuzzling your face further into the crook of his neck.
Softly, he presses a kiss to your forehead.
“Yeah… insomnia isn’t half bad with you around,” he chuckles. After falling silent for another moment, Echo hums quietly. “You know, back in my old battalion, my brothers and I had a game we’d play whenever we were up late and trying to pass the time.”
“What’s that?” you ask with a tilt of your head.
“We would take turns naming as many planets as we could think of. If it was your turn, and you couldn’t name a planet, you lost,” he explained. The ghost of a smile formed on his lips, his gaze falling as memories of brothers long passed warmed him. “We used to go for hours. I don’t know that I ever won… half the time, I’d fall asleep before we even got to the end.”
The thought of young Echo, diligent and tenacious, spending long hours racking his brain for the name of just one more planet sent you into a fit of giggles. Echo’s smile warms beside you.
“What?!” he demands, hand squeezing your hip playfully.
“Nothing, nothing,” you insist. “I just can’t believe how cute you are, sometimes.”
Though a blush fills Echo’s cheeks, the bashful grin he wears below it lets you know your little compliments are working.
“Heh… I know you’re just trying to get my guard down so I might go easy on you,” he teases. Playfully, you raise an eyebrow at him.
“Oh, go easy on me?” you scoff. “I spent years memorizing planets at the temple. You should be hoping I’ll go easy on you.”
Echo rolls his eyes, though the smile never falters on his lips.
“All right, then…” he chuckles. He pauses for a moment, as if he really needs to think about how he plans to open. “... Coruscant.”
“Wow; bold choice,” you snark, earning a chuckle from him. “How about… Kamino?”
“Raxus,” he returns immediately.
“Mandalore,” you shoot back.
“Ryloth.”
“Naboo.”
The two of you go back and forth, on and on, for what feels like hours. Given the number of planets you name, it probably is hours. Echo hadn’t been kidding about his experience—as many hundreds of planets that you know of from your studies at the temple, he seems to know even more. In a strange way, it’s really charming. Being able to name a thousand planets probably has next to no real-life applications, but it speaks volumes of that competitive spirit hidden in Echo that you admire like nothing else.
Eventually, the quickfire pace the two of you had kept up at the beginning slows to a crawl as fewer and fewer planets come to mind. You have to scour the farthest corners of your memory in hopes of remembering anything.
“...oh! Hoth!” you manage. Echo swears under his breath, and you laugh. “You can give up any time, you know. I won’t gloat too much.”
With a fierce grin, Echo’s brow furrows. He seems to focus harder on this than on anything he has in his whole life.
“...Endor,” he says. When you don’t answer for a moment, Echo turns his head to you, finding a coy smirk on your lips. “...what?”
“I’m pretty sure Endor’s a moon,” you answer.
Echo’s eyes go wide.
“What? No way,” he spits. “Are you sure?”
“Pretty sure,” you repeat.
“Well… maybe it’s both!”
“Or maybe you just don’t want to admit you lost.”
“No, it could definitely be both!”
The two of you look into each other’s eyes for a long moment.
“... Tech would know,” you both say in unison.
As soon as the words leave your mouths, you both burst into laughter. You rarely have the opportunity to spend time like this anymore—just the two of you enjoying one another as people, admiring all there is to love about one another. But as you settle down from your giggling fit, enjoying the sight of Echo’s warm eyes as they gaze back at you, you thank the stars for every moment you have with him.
And you see fit to thank him with a kiss—one he eagerly returns.
When you pull away, the soft smile on Echo’s lips warms you to your core. He doesn’t go far, leaning into you as his forehead touches yours.
“You know… whenever those games didn’t work, or whenever I was alone… I had something else to help me get to sleep,” he confesses.
“Oh?” you ask. “What?”
He bumps his nose affectionately on yours, almost hesitant to share.
“Well… on those nights, it always helped to think about you,” he whispered.
The gentle tone of Echo’s voice kicked your heart into overdrive. With a bashful grin, you abruptly pull Echo into your arms, squeezing him so tight he can barely breathe.
“Oh, Echo…!” you coo. “When did you get so sweet?!”
Echo chuckled sheepishly. “Heh… sometime between nearly dying and now, I guess.”
Holding onto him for dear life, you can’t help the weariness that overcomes you. When a quiet yawn escapes your lips, Echo smiles.
“Finally tired, huh?” he asks.
“Mmm-hm,” you hum. Your weary eyes find his, filled with affection. “Thanks to you, handsome.”
Echo’s smile softens. Gently, his scomp link lifts your chin, and he offers you one last loving kiss before getting to his feet.
“Come on, then. Let’s get back to bed while we still have time to sleep,” he says. Once he’s standing, he offers his hand down to you, helping you to your feet all the same.
Hanging on Echo’s arm, you walk to the elevator, working your way back to the barracks. Once you settle back onto the couch, and Echo into his hammock, Echo reaches out to you. With a warm smile, you take his hand. Fingers intertwined with his, you finally drift off to sleep, warmed wholly by the love you share.
Tumblr media
TECH
…the glare of Tech’s goggles against the dark room. You squint as your eyes adjust, shielding your face with one hand until the elevator doors close.
“Tech?” you call out as he makes his way over to you. “What are you doing here?”
He takes a seat beside you, perfectly casual.
“Looking for you, obviously,” he replies. “And now, I’ve found you.”
Without missing a beat, he produces his datapad in his hands, idly tapping away on it without a care. You find a smile on your lips—he’s nothing if not predictable.
“Looking for me? Aw, Tech,” you coo. “Were you worried?”
Tech hums. “Worried? Not so much. As a Jedi Knight, you are more than capable of defending yourself—far better than I could, I am sure. No, I was merely wondering where you had run off to. And why.”
You sigh softly, hugging your knees close to your chest.
“Well… I’m just a little restless tonight, that’s all,” you explain. “It happens every once in a while, I just can’t sleep. No idea why.”
“Hmm. I see,” Tech says. Not even bothering to look at you, Tech slides closer to your side. He wraps his free arm around you, beckoning you to rest your head on his shoulder as he knows you love to do. You smile, obliging him gladly—even if he does not show it in the way others might, he is still perfectly affectionate. “It could be any number of things.”
“Like what?” you ask.
He adjusts his goggles, clearing his throat quietly before he speaks again. Your eyes can’t help but drink in his every little action. The two of you have been close for some time now, but even before you expressed your feelings, you’d grown so fond of all of his mannerisms. Just watching Tech be Tech calms you like nothing in the galaxy.
“Barring more severe medical conditions, insomnia can result from a number of different causes—many of which are, regrettably, found in our typical living conditions,” he explains. “For example, disturbances in the form of loud sounds can prevent or disrupt someone’s sleep…”
“Wrecker?” you interrupt, causing him to glance at you. When he sees a small smirk on your lips, he matches it.
“Precisely,” he nods. “In addition, bright lights can disturb the brain’s circadian rhythm. Which, er…” He pauses, glancing warily between his glaring datapad and you. Awkwardly, he tilts the screen away from your face. “...sorry.”
With a laugh, you shake your head. “It’s okay, handsome. You were saying?”
Tech nods curtly, before continuing to list more and more of the conditions that might be affecting your sleep. The more he talks, the longer he rambles, you find yourself leaning further and further into him. Something in the way he speaks has you captivated, soothing you like a lullaby. He articulates himself so wonderfully, every consonant he strikes sending shivers through you.
It isn’t long before Tech catches on to the way you cling to him. He tilts his head curiously.
“Is something wrong?” he inquires. With a lazy smile, you shake your head.
“No… I just like listening to you talk,” you murmur.
Tech blinks, looking uncharacteristically flustered. “You do?”
“Mmhm,” you sigh. Batting your weary eyes at him, you lean forward just enough to kiss the corner of his mouth. “Will you keep talking, handsome?”
“W-Well… what about?” he asks.
You shrug, shutting your eyes again. “Whatever you want. Maybe ways to help me cure this little bout of insomnia?”
Tech looks over you with such fondness, eyes soft on you as you nuzzle your head into his shoulder. With a kind smile, he sets his datapad down beside him. He surprises you when he repositions himself, laying his legs out flat and allowing you to rest your head on his lap. Though you look up at him with uncertainty, he meets you with a kiss on your forehead.
“I would be glad to enlighten you, my dear,” he smiles, his voice now just above a whisper. “It is funny you should mention it. For some people, white noise is helpful to induce sleep. Things like the sound of the rain, or…” He pauses, awkwardly clearing his throat. “...or someone’s voice.”
You beam up at him, and he smiles shyly back at you. Gentle and sweet, his fingers begin to trace all along your head, soothing you with every last touch. Your eyes flutter closed, utterly lost in his attention.
“Hmm… does it work extra well if it’s the voice of the sweetest man in the galaxy?” you murmur, a teasing smile on your lips.
“I would not think so,” he answers. “But, if I am the man you are referring to, I am inclined to give my best effort for you.”
You chuckle. “Of course I’m referring to you, Tech. I love you, you know…”
Opening your eyes just as long as you can manage, you gaze up at him with the overwhelming affection in your heart. Gently, he cups your cheek with his hand, pressing a delicate kiss on each of your eyelids.
“And I love you more,” he answers, not a hint of doubt in his voice. “Now, just relax. I will take care of you.”
Never have you trusted anyone more than you trust him. With a nod, you close your eyes again, fully submitting to Tech’s care. His voice and his touch relieve your every worry, and before long, you finally find yourself drifting off at last.
You sleep with a smile, his kind words carrying you to your dreams.

CROSSHAIR
… the piercing gaze of none other than Crosshair. When his eyes find you, his usually stern expression softens just slightly.
Wordlessly, he crosses the room, quiet as a lothcat. He approaches you from behind, sitting down and pulling you between his legs. You giggle as his lithe form all but engulfs you, his chest against your back and his chin atop your head. When his arms snake under yours and wrap around your waist, you rest your hands on his, falling fully victim to his embrace.
“Well, hello to you, too,” you smirk. “Did you miss me?”
Crosshair exhales sharply.
“Hm. Not really,” he replies, though you can hear the grin on his lips.
You lean further into him, nuzzling your head into the crook of his neck.
“Aww, not even a little?” you press him.
Crosshairs grip on your waist tightens. He squeezes your sides just enough to make you squeak.
“Not in the slightest,” he fibs.
With a warm smile, you sigh into the cold night air, perfectly content in Crosshair’s arms.
“Well, I missed you… and I’m happy you found me,” you assure him.
He hums a quiet affirmation, before the two of you fall silent, enjoying the gentle ambience of the storm. You can think of very few people you’d feel so comfortable with in this situation—any other silence would beg you to speak and dash it away. But with Crosshair, you feel no obligation to talk for talking’s sake. Neither one of you had much patience for people who just liked the sound of their own voice. No, you two could communicate more than effectively without a word.
And with how he holds you now, you fully understand the depths of his love for you.
The two of you remain in comfortable quiet for quite some time, until at last, the gentle purr of Crosshair’s voice meets your ear.
“Can’t sleep?” he murmurs.
Sighing, you nod. “Mmhm.”
“Hmm.”
He falls quiet again. Idly, his nimble hands trace along your waist. You let them roam—you would never point it out to him, given how sensitive he can be, but you’ve grown quite fond of the way his hands seem to trace you when he holds you like this. He has so many little quirks, and you’ve come to appreciate all of them in your time together. It’s what makes him the man you love, after all.
“You should take my bunk,” he says.
“Hm?” you ask. “Then where will you sleep?”
“On the couch. Obviously.”
With a pout, you crane your head to look at him, only to find him already gazing back at you. The way he looks at you always draws a blush to your cheeks—it’s so intense, so sincere… you never feel more safe, nor more vulnerable. “Sweetheart, I’ll be okay,” you promise. Gently setting your hand on his cheek, you smile. “I can fall asleep eventually. You don’t have to give up your bunk just for me…”
Crosshair huffs—that cute little sigh he heaves whenever you argue with him.
“It’s fine. Between Wrecker and the storm, I wasn’t getting much sleep, anyhow,” he assures you. “Besides, you need the rest more than I do.”
You raise an eyebrow. “Hey, I’m a Jedi, remember? I can last a lot longer without sleep than you can.” Your gaze softens, and you run your thumb along his cheekbone. “And you never get a good night’s rest. You deserve it, Cross.”
Despite your affectionate words, Crosshair frowns. He narrows his eyes at you, before closing them entirely. With a weary groan, he presses his forehead against yours.
“Love, can you please stop being so stubborn just this once?” he grumbles. “I know it’s hard for you, since it seems your favorite thing to do is argue with me. But please.”
Now it’s your turn to frown. You bump your nose against his.
“It’s my second favorite thing, thank you very much.” Tilting your head, you kiss him softly, pulling away with an emphatic ‘mmwah’ to his utmost embarrassment. “That is my favorite. But okay, you win. I’ll take your bunk.”
For a moment, he seems satisfied, the slightest grin creeping onto his lips. He leans in to kiss you again, but before he can, you speak once more.
“If…”
Crosshair’s brow furrows. “If what?”
“If you sleep there with me.”
Immediately, his eyes go wide. You feel his body tense up around you, and he rears back just slightly. You know it isn’t the prospect of sharing a bed with you that has him so worried—the two of you have more than grown familiar with each other by now. Rather, he fears those who will awake to find you sharing a bed together: his brothers. If there’s one thing Crosshair cannot stand, it’s giving anyone the upper hand on him, even for something like a little teasing.
Cupping his face in your hands, you meet his gaze with warm eyes.
“Hey,” you assure him, “if they say anything, I’ll beat them up. Okay?”
Crosshair utters the softest chuckle, the ghost of a smirk on his lips. Begrudgingly, he sighs, setting his hands on yours before leaning in to kiss you.
“... fine,” he concedes at last.
You beam, touched as always by the way he’s always so willing to compromise for you. Getting to your feet, you take his hands into yours, helping him up all the same. When he stands, you keep his hands in yours, pulling him just low enough so you can kiss him once more.
“I love you, Cross,” you whisper. He gazes down at you, eyes alight with such affection that you know he only reserves for you. Tenderly, he presses a kiss atop your head, allowing his lips to linger there.
“I love you, too,” he returns.
When you finally return to the barracks, you find yourself cozy and snug in Crosshair’s bunk. Given it has an actual mattress, it’s far more comfortable than the couch by the window—made even more so by the embrace of your beloved sniper. In his arms, sleep finds you more easily than it has in years. The gentle caress of his hands is the last thing you feel before you finally drift off.

HUNTER (NSFW)
… Hunter, whose tired eyes light up with a smile when he spots you.
“There you are,” he hums, with the most handsome gravel in his weary voice. “I was wondering where you ran off to…”
You smile warmly at him as he saunters up beside you. He takes a seat next to you, not shy at all to wrap his arm around your waist when he does.
“How’d you find me? I thought I covered my tracks very well,” you ask with a grin. He smirks back at you.
“Really? All those sleemos I’ve tracked down on our missions and you want to know how I could follow you here?” he teases, pinching your cheek playfully.
With a giggle, you shake his hand off of you. “Hey, it never hurts to double check.”
Hunter presses a kiss to your temple. His lips feel warm, even more when compared to the cold breeze from outside.
“What are you doing up so late, cyar’ika?” he asks you softly. With an awkward smile, you shrug.
“I wish I knew,” you sigh, gaze falling to the floor. “For some reason I just can’t sleep tonight. I don’t know why…” You pout, hugging your knees against your chest. “It’s annoying, that’s for sure.”
Hunter nods solemnly.
“Yeah, I can imagine,” he hums. “This war’s exhausting, but I still find it hard to close my eyes some nights…”
He falls quiet for a moment. The sound of the rain and the warmth of Hunter’s embrace fill you with a sense of peace.
“What about you?” you ask.
He tilts his head. “What about me?”
“What has you up so late, huh?”
A sly smirk forms on Hunter’s lips. He shrugs a shoulder, all too casual.
“Well, I was sound asleep, but a little someone saw fit to leave me all by my lonesome in the barracks,” he sighs. “Guess I just got restless.”
You grin, narrowing your eyes at him.
“Oh? Your brothers weren’t good enough company?” you tease.
Hunter chuckles; the hand on your waist lingers lower, his fingers skirting the hem of your shorts and making you shiver. He leans in close to you, lips nearly touching yours.
“Well… they’re not the kind of company I’m after tonight,” he purrs.
A blush fills your cheeks. Unable to resist his charm, you close the gap between you, meeting Hunter in a kiss that deepened by the moment. As his tongue slipped between your lips, you felt him hoist you into his lap, facing you away from him. He parts from the kiss with a low growl in his chest, before trailing more softly down your neck.
“Hunter…” you breathe, eyes falling shut as he lavishes you with affection.
His warm lips come second only to his warm hands that have since found their way under your shirt. His every caress causes heat to rise beneath your cheeks—even more when his palms land firmly on your chest.
You hum his name again, breath hitching as his fingers toy with your breasts. Behind you, his chest presses against your back. Even without all his armor, he feels so strong… so big. You know that, in his arms, you would always be safe. Well… safe from the other dangers of the galaxy—certainly not safe from him.
“You know what helps me when I can’t sleep?” he asks, breath tickling your neck. You manage a chuckle—although a moan quickly overtakes it when Hunter’s teeth bear down on your flesh.
“I could wager a guess,” you tease. You feel Hunter smile against you.
“Really?” While one hand continues to coddle your breasts, another meanders slowly down your torso. “Why don’t you tell me, then?”
Though you wish to continue playing hard to get, Hunter’s attention makes that difficult. Your words stick in your throat when his hands breach the waistband of your shorts, fingers creeping over your panties. When he strokes over the wet spot in the fabric, you whimper in spite of your best efforts. Deft swipes offer just enough friction to drive you mad with want, but his strong arms hold firm against your attempts to rut into his hand.
“Well? Out with it,” he growls. His lips press to your ear, your heart thrumming against your chest when he adds, “Tell me what you want.”
With the way Hunter’s fingers work you outside of your panties, he must know that you hardly have the composure to make such a request of him. Your groans as you vye desperately to speak the words he wishes must still fill him with some satisfaction—enough that you can feel how hard he is against your back.
“Hunter… please…” you manage, biting your lower lip when he deepens his pressure just slightly.
“Don’t be shy, cyar’ika,” he purrs. “Say it.”
Meeting his gaze with hazy eyes, you sigh.
“Make me come, Hunter…”
You can practically hear the grin on his lips when those words leave you at last. He presses a soft kiss to your temple.
“Heh… anything for you, love,” he smirks.
Swiftly, Hunter pushes your panties to the side; when his hands touch you, now with nothing in the way, the mewl he draws from you sounds so pathetic that you thank every star for the raging storm outside to drown you out. His calloused fingers draw circles around your aching clit, now drenched in the wetness that resulted from his teasing. Only he knew you this well—well enough to have you trembling in his lap, babbling half-formed thoughts of your desire, completely and utterly helpless.
As if you couldn’t get worse, Hunter’s other hand soon joins the first. Not once stopping his motions on your clit, his fingers find your cunt, slipping inside of you with ease. Your walls clench around him, your every sense overwhelmed with ecstasy. The sound of your wetness against his hands, the taste of his needy tongue, the smell of his sweat and yours, the sight of his half-lidded eyes, and the feeling… it was all too much to bear.
Edging closer and closer, your hands reached behind you, finding purchase in Hunter’s hair. You rest your forehead against his, struggling to meet his gaze, but needing to all the same.
“Hunter…” you breathe, a whimper interrupting your train of thought. “I-I…”
Knowing exactly what you want—what you need—Hunter grins. He runs his tongue along your bottom lip, meeting you in one last longing kiss.
“Go on, cyare—come for me,” he whispers. The sensual rasp of his voice combined with the magic he works between your legs has you obeying his orders with ease, tension building to your climax. “That’s it… beautiful…”
You come hard on his hands, your cunt fluttering around his fingers as they pulse into you still. The movements on your clit do not relent, either, elongating your orgasm into something unbearably pleasurable. It feels like minutes before he’s done with you—and minutes before you’re done, as a result. But, eventually, his touch slows, bringing you down from your highest high and lulling you into your warm afterglow.
Breathless and spent, you collapse against Hunter, nuzzling your face lazily into his neck. He brings his wet fingers up to your lips, and you lazily allow them into your mouth, gently sucking them clean for him.
“How do you feel?” he asks, a warm smile on his lips. When you open your mouth to answer, a yawn is all that comes out, making him chuckle. “See? It always works. Come on,” he wraps you up tight in his arms, before getting to his feet, “let’s get you to bed.”
Though you want nothing more than to cozy up to sleep right now, you pout up at him.
“What about you?” you ask, hating the thought of leaving him without all the attention he showered you with. With a smirk, he planted a soft kiss on your forehead.
“Don’t worry about me; as long as you’re ready for bed, I got what I came for,” he explains. He raises an eyebrow, grin turning mischievous as he adds, “And… I’m sure you’ll have time to make it up to me before we deploy in the morning.”
Giggling, you leaned up just far enough to give Hunter a soft kiss. He returns it happily, even as he carries you back to the elevator to make your return to the barracks.
“You know I’m good for it,” you hum. With a soft sigh, your eyes fall shut. “I love you, Hunter…”
Though you’re fading fast in his arms, you feel his lips on your head one last time.
“I love you, too, cyare.”
You’re asleep before the elevator doors can close behind you.

Hello! For your consideration, I was thinking of a Tech hurt/ comfort fic. The reader is hurt after a mission and Tech helps aid them. Maybe the injury isn’t close to being lethal, but it’s not good either. Ooo, I was about to say they’re in a relationship, but what if they are close but haven’t realized how much they deeply care until now.
By Your Side
Tech x Reader

A/N- Hi, honey! Thanks for requesting! I LOVE this prompt! Such a cute idea. <3 <3

SNAP
A gasp left your mouth, just before a scream. It took a couple seconds for your brain to register what had happened. You simply stared at your left arm, white peaking out on your forearm.
Another wail erupted, pain shooting up your arm. You left it in your shoulder as well.
The previous events finally caught up to you.
You were trying to redirect power in a crashed Imperial vessel. Cid had sent you all to get any valuables on the ship.
Luckily for you all, the ship was mostly abandoned. Plus, there was expensive equipment left on board that could be sold back to the Empire through a third party.
Hunter, Omega, and Wrecker had been headed back to The Marauder to haul parts of the medical technology back to Ord Mantell.
Things were moving smoothly until a fleet arrived. Apparently the Empire had also sent their own men to retrieve the equipment. Clones raided the ship, you and Tech struggled to stay unseen.
"Keep down." He instructed, you followed his order.
"Hunter, meet at the pickup zone. We are currently escaping through an air duct." Tech whispered through his Comms.
The position you were in had you flushed, crawling on your hands and knees was uncomfortable. Tech right behind you doing the same made you a little self conscious.
It wasn't a secret to Omega and Hunter that you liked Tech. Hunter picked up on your heart rate increase around Tech, and the way you grew nervous over simple activities with him. His heightened senses gave you away. Omega, on the other hand, had a knack for picking up your subtle blush when he talked on and on about something you didn't understand.
She teased you about it sometimes, and Hunter paid little mind. Wrecker was clueless, as usual.
"Are you okay? You're breathing heavily." Tech spoke quietly to you, concerned.
"Uh, yeah, yeah. Its just- its a tight space..." You responded, Tech hummed to let you know he heard you. Though, you doubt he believed your petty excuse.
The duct came to an end, a barred frame was the only thing blocking your escape.
You pushed at it, and when it didn't budge- you shuffled around and tried to kick.
"Not even a dent."
"I'll have to blast it, move behind me." He answered.
You leaned back, trying to contort yourself was a struggle in the small vent. There was no way to change positions without crossing over him.
"Sorry..." You mumbled out, flustered as your chest was soon snugly pressed into his.
He stopped moving for a moment, you both rested an inch from each other. "There is no reason to be. This was my plan."
You stuttered, "This?"
He let out a single breathy laugh. "Ah, no. Escaping through the air duct. Our predicament is only a consequence of that decision. Therefore, this is my fault. Not yours."
You gave a shy nod. As much as you would have loved to spend more time in your position, wasting time was not a luxury you had.
The two of you continued to switch spots, you were now behind him.
"After I blast it, the Imperial troops will be alerted of our location. We will need to be swift. Just follow me, I've been tracking our coordinates." He glanced over his shoulder when he spoke.
"After blast, run like crazy?"
"Sure. I guess you could put it that way." You smiled at his words.
You crouched down behind him as he pulled his blaster trigger.
It wasn't very loud, but enough for some kind of siren to go off.
Tech quickly crawled out, then waited for you to do the same. He grabbed your arm, pulling you up to him.
At that, the two of you took off. A few shots rang out, but nothing close enough to get you.
You were able to see The Marauder hovering above, peaking out of the tree leaves.
Maybe your mind was still hazy from the vent, or maybe you got cocky from seeing the ship.
Either way, when a blast was shot close to your feet it distracted you long enough to trip and fall...
"Tech!" You managed to gasp out, besides your screams. You didn't have to though, as he was at your side before you could yell a second time.
He didn't say a word, he was too focused on you. For once, he had nothing to say. His veins were struck with your screams. He'd never been so frightened in his life.
You found yourself propped against a tree, unable to walk. It seemed like you also did something to your leg. Tech was more concerned with your arm, though.
He held it gently, working steadily. It was incredibly painful, but you trusted him to know what he was doing.
Before you knew it, he had lifted you up with a strength you forgot he had.
In your pain stricken state, you did nothing but cling to the man holding you. He started to bring you to The Marauder as fast as he could.
You passed out before you made it, slumping into Techs arms.
Hours later you awoke, a dull throbbing in your leg and left arm. It hurt incredibly to move either, you sucked in with a hiss at the pain.
At the noise, Tech appeared at your side.
"How are you feeling?" He asked, eyes on his datapad.
"Not too good... My arm it-" You looked down at it, wrapped perfectly and tight in a white gauze.
"Yes, you managed to break where your ulna crosses your radius. I performed a minor surgery on it, with the proper care you will make a full recovery." He said, head still down.
You swallowed, what could be so important on his datapad. You apparently just had surgery and broke two bones! "What are you doing?" You tried not to sound passive aggressive.
"Checking your vitals. I am concerned with your risk of infection." He said, now looking up at you.
"Oh..." You felt silly now.
There was a moment of silence between the two of you, Tech then reached for your good arm. He set the datapad down, his full attention on you now. He guided you to sit up.
"When you fell," He gently rotated your arm to be palm up. "Your arm was like this." He turned your wrist. With the lightest touch you'd ever felt, he traced the outline of your two bones on your forearm. "See how they cross? You were unlucky, just breaking the ulna or radius would be a much easier fix. We will need to stabilize both now."
He was referencing some sort of cast.
"I have it wrapped now, as the bone did pierce your skin." He said.
"Thank you..."
"Of course, you needed medical attention. I am more than capable of administering it."
You bit down on your lip, very careful to notice he was still holding your wrist gently.
"No, I mean. Thank you, for saving me..."
He released your wrist, resting his hand next to your thigh. "Oh, well, you are welcome."
It was quiet again. You sheepishly scanned the room, trying not to look at him.
"I was, I-" He took a deep breath. "When you screamed, I felt... I was..." He thought on what word applied best. "Scared."
You tried to reassure him, "I'm okay now."
"I thought you had been shot." He couldn't meet your eye.
You shuffled closer, as much as you were able. "Tech-"
"I've never felt like that before." He admitted, now looking at you.
You reached your right arm out, a hand on his cheek.
With your name leaving his lips, "You are special. I recognize that- that my feelings for you are more exaggerated than anyone else."
Your cheeks felt hot, you were sure they were colored. "Tech, I completely understand the feeling.."
"You do?" He questioned, almost like he was writing mental notes down.
"Yes. I feel the exact same way." You confessed. "About who?" He got slightly defensive, stiffening up.
With a suppressed laugh, you smirked. "You."
He clicked his tongue, almost as a 'Eureka' moment.
Your thumb moved up and down on his cheek. You were unsure what he was comfortable doing with the new information. Though, knew he'd stop you if he was put off by you.
At that thought, you leaned in. Your heart swelled when he did the same, your lips meeting. He was soft, slow, and full of meaning. He was still aware of your injuries. You, however, forgot the second your lips touched his.
It was all promptly followed by a gasp of pain by you, as the leaning put pressure on your leg.
"Oh, you also fractured your fibula. Perhaps we shall continue later." He ran a finger up your leg, showing you where it was. It was an innocent act, but your brain didn't care. You were red as a tomato.
His datapad beeped, he picked it up. "Are you okay? Your heart rate has significantly increased the past minute." He looked at you warily.
His lack of recognition of your embarrassment just made your heart beat faster. "Yes, Tech. I'll be fine..." You said, a laugh finally breaking free at his confused face.
A/N- Thank you so much for reading!

Note: Fully inspired by Echo's line of dialogue shown below
Tumblr media
For the first time in a long time, the Marauder was nearly empty and entirely quiet. The only sound that could be heard was the soft humming coming from the team's medic who'd chosen to stay behind on one of the missions. You made sure to keep yourself busy, opting to organize a few bins of medical supplies on the nearby shelf.
The peace and quiet had suddenly broken when the familiar sound of Wrecker's booming voice called from the outside of the ship. You didn't really think anything of it at first because Wrecker naturally had a loud voice. But what you didn't realize was that he was calling for you.
The chaotic mess that accompanied them began to trail into the entrance of the ship. Their loud footsteps and intermixing voices filled the space, calling for you once again. And this time, you heard them more clearly.
Rounding the corner of the cockpit, your gaze immediately fell on the horrific sight in front of you. You gasped a little louder than anticipated, hands flying up to cover your mouth.
Currently, Wrecker had one of his bulky arms underneath Hunter's arm to support his weight and help him into the ship. The sergeant was barely able to stand on his own two feet and was clutching the side of his abdomen, wincing at each movement due to the severe pain. His bottom lip was also cut and bleeding slightly.
Behind them, Tech was doing the exact same thing only with Crosshair beside him. Now Crosshair didn't look any better. He walked with a limp and he had a black eye on the right side of his face which was only growing deeper in color with each passing second.
Both Wrecker and Tech were careful to escort the other two into the cockpit. They helped them onto the medical table, double checking to make sure they were settled before beginning to help them strip away the parts of their armor. They meticulously took off each piece with great care so that they wouldn't cause further pain.
Once they were finished putting the spare armor pieces to the side, Wrecker and Tech went to step away and silently joined Echo in the background. The two of them sat in only their blacks. You hurried to stand in front of them, taking a brief second to take in what was in front of you.
"W--What the hell happened to you two?" You demanded an explanation because you had honestly never seen them in a worse state. The two of them kept their eyes closed as they continued to writhe in pain.
"Nothing," Hunter grunted out while still clutching his side. He keened forward in his place in hopes of easing his discomfort.
"We knew what we were doing," Crosshair added. He was panting slightly as if trying to catch his breath. You glanced between the two of them with furrowed eyebrows.
"What's that supposed to mean?" You wondered. You were curious if they were keeping something from you as their vague answers did not satisfy you.
"Ask him," Crosshair hissed. He seemed to glare at his older brother through the corner of his eyes.
"Can we not talk about this right now?" Hunter pleaded. The pain was becoming almost too unbearable for him. He withdrew his hand from his side only to show that his hand was caked in his own blood.
"I'm not doing anything until one of you tells me what the hell happened," you reminded them. Waiting for an answer, you crossed your arms over your chest and glanced between the two of them. Neither of them wanted to look directly at you.
Hesitantly, Hunter lifted his head and looked at his brother sitting right beside him. He breathed steadily to himself to maintain his composure. He desperately needed some medical assistance, but he knew how stubborn you were. So he needed to come up with something.
"M-Mercenaries," Hunter spoke through gritted teeth.
"Mercenaries? Really? " You repeated with a cocked eyebrow. He nodded his head. "You need to work on your lying skills."
"I'm telling the truth," Hunter reassured her. He made a point to hold your gaze, but you still didn't believe him.
"Tech?" You called from over your shoulder without looking away.
"They were otherwise occupied in one of their fights," Tech replied without hesitation and without looking up from his data pad.
"Again?!?" You spoke with such shock that it caused both of them to wince at your words.
"Look," Hunter began. "We didn't really mean to take it as far as we did--"
"Bullshit," you interrupted him. You gestured to his side that he still clutched to help with the bleeding. "He stabbed you for crying out loud!"
"He was really asking for it," Crosshair commented. His eyes still flashed with anger. "And he started it anyways."
"I don't want to hear it," your voice rose a little louder to speak over him. You raised a hand to stop them. "This is the fourth fight you've gotten into this month. And I am here wasting precious materials to fix and bandage you both up each time. It's getting ridiculous!"
"We're sorry," Hunter spoke timidly.
"Don't tell me you're sorry. Tell each other you are sorry."
Neither of them were willing to do this which just proved how narrow-minded and stubborn headed they were towards each other.
Quickly turning away from them, you hurried towards the neatly organized shelf of medical supplies. You reached for various materials, stuffing what you could carry into the contents of your arms. Returning to the medical bench, you laid out the tools to view and inspect clearly.
Using your own data pad, you quickly took a thorough scan of the both of them to survey the extent of their injuries. While Hunter had sustained a knife wound to the left side of his abdomen, it had thankfully not pieced anything important. His knuckles were incredibly brushed and bloody. His lip was cut roughly. He'd definitely feel sore in the morning from taking such a harsh beating.
On the other hand, Crosshair managed to sprain his ankle during his tumble with his brother. He had two bruised ribs which he was lucky they didn't break. And he sported a nasty black eye right over his tattoo.
You quickly assessed that you'd need to help the sergeant first given that he had a knife wound and was still bleeding slightly. You handed the sniper an ice pack for his eye to temporarily ease the pain before you directed all of your attention to the other brother. You gingerly stepped forward to stand between his legs, reaching forward to grasp the edge of his top.
You made sure to help him out of the top of his blacks carefully, being extra mindful of the wound on his left side. He winced slightly as the material bunched around his shoulder. With great discomfort, Hunter managed to raise his arm in order to slide and remove the rest of his top from his arms. He discarded the piece of material onto the floor without a care in the world.
Now Hunter was sitting shirtless on the medical bench. His hand returned to the spot on the side of his abdomen, which was caked in his dried blood and still oozing with fresh blood under his fingertips. Taking the bottle of alcohol disinfectant, you doused a cloth in the clear liquid. You needed to clean the wound before you'd be able to stitch it up.
"This might sting a little," you spoke honestly.
With some hesitation, Hunter removed his hand from his side to allow you space to work. You carefully brought the wet cloth to his bleeding slide, pressing it into the gaping skin. As if on cue, Hunter practically lurched forward in his place. He gripped the edge of the table so tightly that his knuckles started to bleed again. His eyes squeezed shut to block out the pain.
"Sorry," you added because you hated seeing him in pain.
You went to wipe away some of the remaining blood around the wound and cleaned the skin thoroughly. Tossing the bloody cloth onto the table, you went to retrieve a needle and thread so you'd be able to sow it shut right afterwards. You threaded the string through the eye of the needle, leaning forward slightly to begin stitching his skin back together.
This wasn't the first time you'd given any of them stitches since they had many wounds inflicted to them over the years. However, this one could have easily been prevented if Hunter and Crosshair hadn't gotten into their little fight. You worked swiftly and steadily with the needle.
"What was it this time?" You asked out of pure curiosity and you could have sworn that the sergeant tensed under your touch. The two of them glanced at one another as if trying to secretly trying to relay something.
"Like he said: it was nothing." Crosshair spoke for the both of them. He drew his gaze away from his older brother. He recalled the conversation leading up to their fight, but it only made him angrier in the moment.
"Tech?" You repeated without looking away from your work.
"They were fighting over you this time," Tech replied without missing a beat. You raised your eyebrows in slight surprise at this confession, but your thoughts were quickly interrupted.
"Such a fucking tattletale," Crosshair scoffed. He sent his twin a deadly glare, but Tech didn't even seem to notice. He was too absorbed in the contents of his data pad. "He's always been like this," Crosshair said to his brother beside him.
"Yeah, I know. I was always there," Hunter grunted as the needle threaded through his tatted skin once again.
"At least I wasn't a biter as a cadet," Tech shot back. That was when he decided to lift his head so that he could look directly into his brother's narrowed eyes.
"You did bite a lot of people, Crosshair." Wrecker released a hefty laugh. He arms crossed over the length of his chest. He smiled at the fond memories of them as little cadets. "The regs especially."
"Just leave already," Crosshair growled at them.
Not wanting to anger him any longer, the other three members filed out of the cockpit and retreated back into their bunks for the night. They sealed the cockpit door behind them.
"Going back to this fight..." your voice seemed to betray you and trailed off into nothing. You glanced between the two of them as if searching for some kind of answer. "You were fighting over me?"
A quick tie of the thread and a cut with scissors meant your work was done for stitching. Neither of them seemed to say anything as you retrieved some more gauze from the side. You took one of the sergeant's big hands into your own, turning it over to begin wrapping his cut knuckles.
"Yeah," Hunter breathed steadily. He didn't even realize what he confessed to at first, but it was much too late now. "We were."
His eyes were transfixed on the way your fingers moved so delicately against his own. His breath had since caught in the back of his throat. He no longer felt the severe pain coursing through his side. You always managed to make him feel better and it wasn't just your medical skills that did the trick.
For the longest time, Hunter had been utterly fascinated by you. It went far beyond your medical knowledge and expertise in the field. You were known to be an honest and genuine person; someone who every member of his squad had grown to love and respect. You were a gentle-hearted soul which brought a newfound warm light to the otherwise hardcore company of brothers.
Slowly, Hunter watched the way you raised your head to look at him through your lashes. You had just finished wrapping his knuckles, gently laying them back down in his lap. He could feel your breath fanning against his face as you stood right between his legs. He briefly glanced down at your lips. And he wanted nothing more than to capture them in his own. But he knew better than to do something so careless.
You missed the quick glance he casted to your lips, but your eyes were fixed on his cut. You really couldn't do anything about the cut on his lip; it would heal in its own time. He silently thanked you with his gaze alone. And now your attention went to his younger brother sitting beside him.
"Why were you fighting over me?" You asked them with a hint of genuine concern behind your facial expression. You wondered if you'd be able to get a response out of the sniper now that all your attention was directed to him.
"We...we share...a common interest," Crosshair confessed honestly. He would have never said if the rest of his brothers were present, but there was just something about the way you looked up at him that made him cave.
Kneeling down onto the ground, you were able to hoist his bad leg onto your lap. You began to wrap his ankle carefully because you didn't want to cause him anymore pain than he was already in. You looped the stream of gauze around the backside of his ankle, bringing it back over the side and to the front. You briefly glanced up at him.
"In me?" You wanted clarification.
Both Hunter and Crosshair silently nodded their heads in response.
Avoiding their gaze, you went back to tying the knot on the wrapped ankle in your lap. You rose to your feet in a slow manner. You reached for the end of the sniper's top, carefully helping him remove it until he too was shirtless like his brother.
You had seen them shirtless countless times before and you always managed to remain medically professional. But there was something different about them now. This newfound revelation made you look at them in a slightly different light. The mere sight of their bare chests had your breath catching in the back of your throat. You knew if you weren't careful in regulating your breathing, Hunter was going to catch on sooner than later. Hell, he might have already caught on at this point.
You began to wrap a supportive brace around Crosshair's torso of bruised ribs, knowing that they'd need the extra support to help heal over the next couple days. You made sure not to make it too tight or too loose, watching for any discomfort behind his eyes. But you never saw any.
Now, having finished tending to their various injuries, you took a single step backwards and stood timidly in their presence. You still weren't able to look either of them in the eyes. When you realized how long you'd been silent and that they were waiting for some type of response from you, you tried to find the right words to express yourself.
"This is unexpected," you spoke softly. You just couldn't believe that two brothers had gotten into a quarrel over you. It went so far that one of them got stabbed this time around.
Had they fought over your before this? What were they fighting over specifically? Who else knew about this? And what else were they willing to do for you?
"You don't have to do anything with this information," Hunter wanted to reassure you. "And I hope this doesn't make things weird between us."
"It doesn't," you confessed with a small shake of the head. The corners of your lips twitched into a smile. "I'm certainly flattered...and honestly at a loss for words right now. I'm not really sure how to feel."
"You can have all the time in the world to think about how you feel," Hunter replied. He didn't have any expectations of where he wanted this to go for him, but he did want you to be comfortable around them. And you were going to need time to do that now that they had confessed to you.
"I'll...see you both around," you mentioned rather awkwardly.
Taking another step backwards to dismiss yourself from their presence, you wanted to get out of the cockpit before they could see the evident blush creeping onto your cheeks. You sent them a small wave and slipped out of the cockpit before they could say anything else to you.
Just as the door closed, Hunter and Crosshair seemed to breath a small sigh of relief. Their gazes were now directed to the solid steel floor underneath them, thinking about the confession and conversation that had just transpired.
"Well, that's out of the bag now." Crosshair spoke up first.
"Give her some time. I'm sure it's a lot for her to process. She'll come around," Hunter shrugged his shoulders.
"When she does come around, I hope you won't be too heartbroken with her choice." Crosshair taunted him. A sly smirk curved near the corner of his lip, knowing the mere power of his words and how they always managed to irritate his older brother. A deadly glare was sent his way in response.
Crosshair knew just the right thing to say to get under his brother's skin and if he wasn't careful, Hunter was bound to start another quarrel with him. But that's just something brothers do.

Authors Notes: Please read the warnings! And please let me know if you enjoyed it. The filth continues. Interspersed with … feelings? In my smut? It’s more likely than you think.
I realised I forgot to give any context for where this story sits timeline wise and who the character of the reader is! Timeline wise, this happens at some nebulous point after Echo joins The Bad Batch and before Order 66. The reader is part of the Batch but beyond that you can interpret them however you wish. The most common example I've seen is a medic but a jedi, mechanic, intelligence officer or some other random reason for the reader being in the squad could all work as well. Whatever works for you. The main thing is that the reader is a submissive that the Batch share between themselves and are the reader's dominants. The Batch are all Dom’s in the AU of this fic, but they all have different ways of approaching it, which you’ll hopefully get a little inkling of in this chapter.

Open and Waiting (Chapter 2)
I don’t know how much time passes but eventually I hear the faint hiss of the cockpit door opening and a soft, smooth stride moves out into the main area of the ship.
Hunter.
Our sergeant can be completely silent when he wants to be, so he’s deliberately making sure his approach can be heard. An existence created purely for tracking means that he’s basically permanently stealthy. It can be decidedly startling when he just appears next to you out of nowhere. We really need to put a bell on him or something. Though he’d probably figure out how to move so that it didn’t make a sound. Sneaky bastard.
A gruff voice at the end of the workbench announces his arrival.
“That’s in more bits than when I saw it last.”
“Yes.” Tech replies. “I hypothesised that the size of the casing could be reduced by 2.56% if I reconfigured the internal power connectors into a series of bi-linear couplings. I am currently applying this theory to the prototype you see before you, hence the 'bits' on the workbench.”
“That’s a lot of parts to shove into a small box.” responds Hunter.
“They will fit.” Tech testily replies.
“I don’t doubt that.” Hunter answers.
There’s a brief pause while Tech zaps something and Hunter shifts slightly to the side.
I think I’m being inspected.
Hunter definitely can’t have missed that I’m currently naked, kneeling between Tech’s thighs with my eyes closed, hands restrained behind my back and Tech’s cock stuffed in my mouth.
“You went with the leather cuffs then.” Hunter states.
I am definitely being inspected.
“They are more suited to the purposes of this exercise.” Tech explains. “The focus is on sensation and submission and as an introduction to this practice, I thought it pertinent to ease into the experience gently. The leather cuffs provide an acceptable level of restraint and serve as a reminder of their position, both physically and mentally.”
“Plus you made them.” Hunter adds.
“Correct. Both the wrist cuffs and collar are of my own design and creation.” Tech replies.
They’re talking about me like I’m not even here. Like I’m not currently desperately drooling around Tech’s cock, unable to move or escape their gaze. The thought makes my pussy throb.
“Oh, she’s enjoying this.” Hunter laughs.
“I trust you can smell her arousal.” Tech asks, though it’s not framed as a question.
“Yup.” Hunter answers. “I could smell her in the cockpit like she was in there. It’s stronger than usual.”
“I have observed a number of indicators of her heightened state of arousal myself.” Tech adds.
“Is this what she’s been worrying about?” asks Hunter.
“If by ‘this’, you mean the practice of cock warming that the two of us are currently engaging in, then yes.” Tech replies.
“You’ve just got your dick in her mouth.” Hunter observes bluntly.
“Yes.” replies Tech. “That is the point.”
There’s a rather telling pause and I can just picture the looks that are being exchanged. An arched, tattooed eyebrow is probably being met with a decidedly unimpressed flat stare emanating from behind yellow lenses. Another slip of drool spills from the corner of my stretched mouth and runs down my chin to join the rest of the mess that is covering my face.
Tech shifts and launches into a lecture. There’s probably a finger being raised.
“Cock warming is the practice of placing one's cock in an orifice of one's partner. This can be done via the mouth, rear or vagina, if the penetratee possesses that particular genitalia. The cock is then left inside the partner's orifice where they are to keep it warm. The name speaks for itself. Outside of the basic principle of the act, the parties involved can agree on various additional stipulations, such as how long the penetratee must keep their partner's cock inside them or if they are allowed to move or make noise. I have read numerous accounts where both partners extol the virtues of this practice, describing it as surprisingly peaceful and an excellent way of entering subspace.”
“I’m sure it’s enjoyable, I’ve just never heard of it, that’s all.” Hunter supplies.
“I must admit that I was not overly familiar with the practice myself but it has proved to be a most enjoyable addition to our play thus far.” Tech provides.
I could already tell he was enjoying it, given the harness of his erection currently occupying my mouth. Hearing the verbal confirmation just adds to the feeling of deep satisfaction and submission warming in my chest. Another shiver runs through my body and I can feel more of my saliva pool in my mouth.
“Was there a reason for your interruption of my work?” Tech directs at Hunter in a slightly curt manner.
“That’s not the only thing I’m interrupting” Hunter snarks back.
“Quite.” Tech leaves the implication implicit.
Hunter sighs briefly before adding “Yeah we got a comm from the 369th.”
“Ah. Are they still experiencing difficulty with the Separatist base built into the side of the Markontia Gorge on Bezril IX?” Tech asks, fully aware of the answer already.
“Yeah, they might need our help with their current campaign but nothing’s confirmed yet so we’re on standby for now. If they need us to blast a hole into the Seppie base then we should hear back by the next rotation.” Hunter adds.
“Wrecker will be pleased.” Tech comments.
“I can think of something else that would please Wrecker.” Hunter slyly hints at.
“Wrecker may make use of our shared submissive when it is his turn.” Tech replies swiftly, irascible intent laced through the words, making it crystal clear that I am his right now.
“Additionally, he has made it quite clear that he does not wish to test the limits of her capacity for oral penetration until her gag reflex has improved.” Tech adds.
A slice of shame and disappointment cuts through me. I’ve always had problems with my gag reflex. Lack of experience will do that to you, I guess. I’ve been slowly working on improving it and they’ve all been so gentle and careful and patient with me. I desperately want to be able to deep throat each of them or be face fucked into a wall one day. At the moment though, the best I can manage is the tip of one of their cocks at the back of my mouth and even that still sets the damn thing off sometimes.
Wrecker has been so sweet about it. There is no denying that he is exceptionally well endowed and that his cock is, well, enormous, to put it bluntly. The poor man is well aware of it too. There is nothing I’d love more than to be absolutely impaled on his thick cock, but the first time I saw it I did worry that I’d never be able to fit it in me. I still do but we’re slowly getting there. He’s been so wonderful and understanding of my current abilities and their limits. Wrecker is such a beautiful human to experience pleasure with. He’s so full of joy about the entire thing. I didn’t have a great deal of experience before somehow ending up with all of them and I’d never had a joyful sexual encounter before Wrecker. I didn’t even know it was possible and had burst into tears afterwards. He’d been so alarmed and concerned that he’d inadvertently hurt me but that couldn’t have been further from the truth. Thankfully, he’s the most emotionally intelligent out of all of them and we’d had a wide-ranging, open and reassuring conversation about sexual experience and intimacy as I lay curled against his chest. I still struggle with tensing up sometimes and Wrecker has been a great boon in getting me more accustomed to preparation. He’s a big proponent of lube and has a whole assortment of different types that we’re slowly working our way through. One or two of his fingers are more than enough to open me up and I could have those big, thick, slicked up digits sliding in and out of me for hours.
And there is nothing quite so wondrous as lying there laughing and kissing and giggling as he fucks my thighs. Wrecker has been very keen to emphasise that there’s more to sex than just penetration and we’ve been exploring some intriguingly varied ways to experience pleasure together. The first time he’d fucked my tits was something else. His oleaginous, lubed cock sliding between my breasts, cupped in his massive hands as his fingers and thumb played with my nipples. When he’d finally exploded all over my chest, neck and face, I don’t think I’d ever been covered in quite so much cum.
Well, at least not until we had that bukkake session. Trying to get cum out of your hair in a sonic is difficult to say the least and Hunter ended up hand washing it out for me. It had been worth it though for the way they had all looked down at me while they pumped their cocks and came all over my obedient, kneeled form, mouth hanging open and tongue out to catch as much as I could.
I’d knelt there afterwards like a statue. Covered in their cum, stained and claimed in their release. Rivets of translucent white slowly running down my skin. I could feel it pool in the hollow of my neck and drip off my nipples. It sounds ridiculous but in that moment I just wished I could exist like that forever, eternally marked as theirs. Just like I wish I could openly and proudly display the marks they leave on my skin, claims bruised into my neck for all to see. They are all such wonderful dominants, each unique in their own approach. I’m eternally thankful that they all chose me to be their submissive. I would happily serve at their feet and allow them to use me as they pleased for the rest of my existence if this damn war wasn’t going on.
I do need to work on having a bit more self preservation though. One of them is bad enough but whenever they end up scheming together, they start coming up with Plans and Ideas. That’s how I then found myself wiping their cum off me with my hands before eating it in front of them like some lewd and licentious spectacle. Being made to finger yourself using the cum of your dominants as lube while they watch is also a whole new level of depravity. I’d had to beg each of them for permission to cum before I’d finally been allowed to finger fuck myself into oblivion.
Wrecker isn’t the only one that is explicitly clear that their boundaries for playing with me are guided by my current abilities. Crosshair steadfastly refuses to even entertain my suggestion of face fucking until I can, in his words, “keep my balls against your chin, doll”. Echo had gone all serious when I had timidly requested to go down on him for the first time. There had been some stern yet heart-felt words about the importance of pacing and not rushing into things or pressuring yourself to try something you’re not ready for. We’d ended up grinding against each other instead, which was just as enjoyable. It meant I got to watch him come undone as I thrust my hips into his groin and then he’d made me straddle his leg and grind myself to completion on his thigh. There is something about the sensation of smooth durasteel gliding under your wet, sensitive pussy and pressing against your clit that is otherworldly. I’ll have to ask Tech if he’s able to shape some kind of toy out of the metal. A durasteel butt plug sounds like an excellent idea.
I still wish I could do more for them and wasn’t trapped in my own body and mind. The discontent and shame at my perceived failures is still there, despite how well I might be managing to warm Tech’s cock with my mouth at the moment. My lips are wrapped around a decent amount of his length and the tip of his cock is fairly close to the back of my mouth but I could always do more and try to get him a little deeper. I take a steadying breath through my nose, will my throat to relax and move to take more of him in.
------
Author’s Note: Tiny bit of a cliffhanger! This is mainly because I wrote this all in a giant keyboard mashing haze with absolutely no thoughts of structure. Going back while editing and trying to figure out where to shove in chapters to break it up has been a bit tricky, so if they’re a tad clunky that’s why.
You’ll see how Tech reacts in Chapter 3, along with some musings on previous sessions with Hunter and Crosshair.
