This novel follows Pip, who is pulled against her will into the epic fantasy novel series she's loved since she was a teenager. However, the world is darker, and far more dangerous than she could have ever predicted, especially when it turns out the hero is a much bigger jerk than she expected him to be.
Pip knows how to circumnavigate the Hero's Journey and the pitfalls and loopholes of this particular world - but what will happen to her beloved characters outside of the comfort of the fantasy they were written for? And what happens when it's not the hero, but the hero's overlooked and bullied little brother who proves to be her biggest champion?

Forsyth Turn is not a hero. Lordling of Turn Hall, yes. Spymaster for the king, certainly. But hero? That's his older brother's job, and Kintyre Turn is nothing if not legendary. However, when a raid on the kingdom's worst criminal results in the rescue of a baffling woman, oddly named and even more oddly mannered, Forsyth finds his quaint, sedentary life turned on its head.
Dragged reluctantly into a quest he never expected, and fighting villains that even his brother has never managed to best, Forsyth is forced to confront his own self-shame and the demons that come with always being second-best. And, more than that, when he finally realizes where his companion came from and why she's here, he'll be forced to question not only his place in the world, but the very meaning of his own existence.
✨📜✨
Smartly crafted, THE UNTOLD TALE gives agency to the overlooked, and asks what it really means to be a fan when the worlds you love don't resemble the world you live in, celebrates the power of the written word, and shows us what happens when someone stands up and refuses to remain a secondary character in their own life.
New Chapters drop every Tuesday.

I was laid by the heels for ten days, and Trevor used to come in to inquire after me. At first it was only a minute's chat, but soon his visits lengthened, and before the end of the term we were close friends.
There's more!

it is day six of losing my mind over the peteway hand-holding, what came before, what came after, and what may or may not come later, and today i am thinking about the importance of touch.
or most importantly, of touch as a gesture.
because there's the touch itself, which as two enigmas with touch-based powers that are probably touch-starved for genuine consensual purposeful touch (thank you @marinacourage, i am never recovering from reading those words strung together in that order) is... already a lot. we can infer from what we've been shown/how deliberately they focus on it every time that both their powers work by touching people with their hands, which i imagine must be incredibly alienating for both of them, albeit for different reasons, but specially so for pete who (unlike way who also has to verbally issue a command) seems to need only to touch someone to invade the privacy of their mind even if he doesn't want to.
so, the act of touch alone is incredibly intimate for both of them.
once everything is out in the open, when they both know the other is an enigma and what his powers are, and way knows that pete has been using his power every time he touches him to read his mind, pete could just stop touching him. which is what he does at first.
but then there's my favourite part: both the intent and the manner of the touch. because pete withdraws, but not because he doesn't need or want to keep touching way; he does it because he was using his power surreptitiously, and now he doesn't need to.
pete reaches towards way again, and not only touches him: he slides his own hand in between way's and touches their palms together. pete is touching way, but he makes sure that way is touching him, too. and just like when he bared his neck earlier, pete is putting himself in way's hands, at way's mercy; he can read way's mind, but way can control him if he wants, either to make him back off or anything else. and way doesn't, nor does he draw back even if he looks at pete in surprise.
because pete is showing way he believes in him. he's telling him as much, saying "don't let obligation or fear make you not dare to decide to do the right thing. you are worth more than daddy says". saying "you always have a choice. you still have the right to choose, way".
but he's also telling him with his touch, with the palms of their hands resting together. "i see you", "you are not alone", "i'm here, and i believe in you", "your past sins will not drive me away. wounded hearts can still be cared for".
and also, because of how pete looks at way and because of how emotionally charged this moment is, i cannot help but think about the metaphor of "and palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss" in act 1, scene 5 of shakespeare's romeo and juliet; juliet's evocation of a palmer touching the hand of a saint's statue as an almost holy and transformative experience. a kiss with hands.
I keep thinking about the idea of a Hilda spinoff focused on Frida's Witch training and all the shenanigans that occurs because Tildy is her teacher and Hilda is her familiar and Kaisa is her classmate in law
Every few weeks I get a new idea about something that could happen with Frida's Witch training that feels like it could be it's own episode
Something just so fun and silly that explores the dynamic between all the witches we've seen
And I'm so devastated that thats probably not something we'd get
The witches and magic and magical Witch laws are so fascinating and they weren't explored in a way they could/should have been
Up next! This came highly recommended by many friends (and also the internet at large when I asked for SFF revenge recs, so thanks!), and I have Tracked Down The Original Covers, so I'm ready to go.
If I was a StarClan cat I would start shit just to make my day more interesting. Showing up in cat dreams just to give a riddle or stare them down and strike a little fear in their heart. You know, make a little cat drama.

I originally published "The Untold Tale", book one of the Accidental Turn series waaaay back in 2015 with an indie publisher. I'm re-releasing the whole series late 2023/early 2024 under my own imprint, with all new covers and some updated interiors. To celebrate, I've decided to give all of you a treat and release the WHOLE first book of the series in it's entirety.
Chapters will drop every Tuesday, and it will be totally free to read. You just have to have a Wattpad account (which is also free, though it does have premium versions and in-app purchases for some pay-walled stories).
And if you like the book, you can find out about the rest of the series on my website. AND, if you want to be in the loop when the paperback and eBook editions are re-released, make sure to sign up for my newsletter (head to my website, and scroll to the bottom of the page.)
How shocked will the autobots be when they find put about alexis ?
Incredibly.
Most of them are just going to think it's a trick Starscream is pulling to get at Sari. Like using Alexis as bait to lure her out. Cause why else would she still be alive? Prowl wouldn't let Alexis anywhere near Sari or the base. He'd be convinced Starscream strapped a bomb to her.
Bumblebee would just be happy Sari's friend is alive. And if he did find out about Alexis, his first priority would be to 'rescue' her. Which neither she nor Starscream would appreciate. If the rescue attempt was successful, Optimus would be relieved Alexis was safe and feel awful about accidentally leaving her with the Decepticons. Alexis wouldn't quite know how to handle Optimus. She's heard stories about him from the Decepticons, and wouldn't get how someone so powerful could be so kind.
Absolutely NO ONE is going to think Starscream actually cares about Alexis.
Or alternatively:
Bumblebee after realising Alexis is still alive and trapped in a Decepticon fortress: "That poor girl. She must be so scared."
Alexis @ the seekers: "Which one of you fraggers stepped on my science project!? Give me their name! Whoever tells me first gets to live."
what if we were two damaged space probes, drifting aimlessly through space until we found one another and repaired each other by merging our minds and bodies and purposes into one <3
perpetually obsessed with the way you cannot pry rayla out of what has led callum into aaravos’ clutches. callum being obsessed with the mirror in the first place? is largely because he was looking for a distraction from the pain of losing her aaravos being able to possess him at all? is because callum did dark magic to save her. and even if you subscribe for some reason, framing wise, that he didn’t do it solely for her and instead for the dragon, he only believed in that cause because she convinced him to (“someone has to take a stand when no one else will” “you’re right”). the 4x04 intro implies that the key is directly connected to aaravos’ interest in callum in the first place? callum only has the cube because rayla grabbed it for him even when everything went to hell in a hand basket. callum only asked for the cube because he recognized the symbols from rayla’s drawing, and only pursued magic because she called him a mage even when he dismissed himself as nothing. he only did a spell because she pushed at him to do it: “is this a guessing game? just do it” like they are insane
