I’ve been seeing this thing around about rating pjo ships so i thought I’d give it a go 🤠 no personal offense if i don’t give your ship a high rating, i’m pretty particular except for when I’m not
Percabeth - 9/10. love them loads, but could have gone without the judo flip + other odd behaviors that are only seen as “cute” because the sexes are flipped, otherwise they’re great
Jercy - 1/10. i can see potential i guess but also there’s just a lot of better options for both of these characters imo, plus i see them as bros
Valgrace - 10/10, to storm or fire the world must fall, best friends to lovers, no notes
Solangelo - 2/10. i can see…the potential. their “significant annoyance” scene gave me the warm fuzzies as a 14 year old looking for rep. but oh my god how they’re written in canon sometimes is just so bad, it ruins fanon for me as well. not to mention the one-dimensional-ization done in order to amplify the “grumpy x sunshine !!!1!” trope. however i will say Some solangelo fans understand that they should Both be freaks (and in that AU it’s a respectable 8/10 from me) and the ship has fantastic fan artists
Shelper - 2/10. no hate i’m just bored…like who is shel?? tell me one thing about her personality. does she get any dialogue?? richard??
Jasper/Jiper - 1/10 the fake memories were cute but the inside of pipers head did not pass the Bechdel test. would love to see them as platonic soulmate roommates though
Jeyna - 1/10 the devotion is admirable but yk. can relate being aroace and latching on to some dude lmao
Theyna - 4/10. not my cup of tea but in a world where either they aren’t hunters or it’s an interpretation where the hunters can be lesbians…it’s a good ship. haven’t really seen much for them but I’m open to it. might prefer them as a platonic buddy cop duo though
Pernico - 4/10 i see them as annoying cousins but i respect the angst potential of unrequited love. i don’t think the ship as endgame would be good for either of the characters. however, again, really good fan artists
Jasico - 10/10 the drinking out of the chalice scene was hot don’t look at me. really good fan artists etc. i should write more with them
Valdangelo - 10/10, yk how i feel about pushing my blorbos together and making them kiss lol. massively underrated, read ceaseless eve, etc
Pipabeth - 7.5/10 i like percabeth more but it’s my favorite piper ship. I haven’t seen much content with them but i’ve liked what i have seen. I might make some stuff with them
Rachbeth - 2/10, the potential is there i guess but i see them as best friends
Perchel - 8.5/10 i guess i’m in the minority but what makes the pjo love triangle so compelling compared to other YA love triangles is that Both of the ships are really good. idk what to tell you they go well together
Lukercy - 6/10 i see the potential but if you’re going for dark fic vibes i think lukabeth is better
Lukabeth - 9/10 the dark fic potential has me chewing the furniture. wouldn’t ship them as like a fluffy endgame but that’s not the point

less than a year until byler is bones ❤️
awwww is someone scared of byler endgame? 😂
let’s look at the facts, shall we?
1) Will was deliberately written to be gay and in love with Mike
2) in the same season this was revealed, Mike was deliberately written to be incapable of telling his canonical girlfriend he loves her
3) Mike also cannot touch Will for some reason even though they are canonically best friends. Cant even hug him without having a whole crisis
4) Mike is confirmed to not know that Will is gay or in love with him, stated by the Duffers AND Finn meaning there is no reason Mike shouldn’t be able to hug him unless…. 🤔 he is perhaps in love with Will?
5) Will gives Mike a coded love confession using a piece of art he created that was never resolved, meaning it is absolutely going to come into play in the final season
6) Mike was pushed into telling El he loved her BY Will, and then afterward she barely spoke to him
7) Mike and Will ended the season at each others side, literally paralleled with 2 canon couples in the same exact frame, which is very intentional foreshadowing
8) again I repeat the lie Will told Mike, the lie that is the ONLY reason Mike even confessed to El in the first place and tried to say he loved her, has not been resolved.
What do you really think is gonna happen in s5? That Mike is gonna find out Will lied, that everything Will said was from El was actually just how he felt and that Mike’s response to said lies was a direct response to Will’s own love confession and that Mike is gonna be like “well that’s so weird and gross of you, Will!” 😂
They literally wrote Will as a second love interest to Mike. They wrote Mike as having serious issues with his girlfriend. They wrote Mike and Will together the entire season and Mike and El broken up the entire season. They ended the season with Mike and Will together and a whole lot of unresolved romantic tension between them that we again are not making up or imagining with shipping goggles. It’s literally a canon love triangle.
And you think the love triangle isn’t going to end with byler? Lol. Why even write byler as an option if it won’t be acted upon? There’s literally 0 reason to have written Mike or Will this way in s4 unless the plan is for them to end up together. It’s not some difficult narrative to comprehend. If Mike can’t tell his gf he loves her, there logically must be a reason for it. 🗿🍷 but it’s ok, I know you’re slow seeing as you’re a mileven. Take your time, maybe eventually you’ll get it <3

It's just a theory but I think she's being associated with red especially in season 3 with this:
But I also think the colours all have more of a abstract meaning than a direct one of "El is red, Mike is blue, Will is yellow"...
This is not ALWAYS valid, sometimes the actor just looks good in those colours lmao, but in general they use the colours to associate general ideas like for example:
I think Red in stranger things is associated with having trauma to face, Jancy has trauma in common for the text of the show and they have been together under the red light, Vecna's mind is red because his mind has been broken down by violence and trauma and he has a dangerous mentality, El is immersed in red because she's experiencing that traumatic event... The mindflayer and the storm are all about traumatic experiences etc
Blue is often about sadness and depression, that's why the upside down is blue toned and they are all in blue light when the mood is supposed to be sad
I think yellow might be about resilience, when you want to keep fighting the scary thoughts in your head
There is also the warm light = hope for the future, of overcoming the difficulties you encounter
I also think El at the end of the season is in white because it's meant to be foreshadowing of her becoming her own person and being "a white canvas" and she has pink details because pink is her real colour (S1 pink dress) after she survives all the trauma, at least I think that would be really cute and she looks great in pink!!!!
I also think she fits the purple 💜 and Will also has the purple associated with him because they are paralleled and it's all about being "wizards" in their own way, being wise/spiritual etc
I also had this idea that this scene was about the love triangle symbolically because we have Steve folding and putting away a red t-shirt while watching the only other queer couple in the show, when he has on him a blue, yellow and white towel - like El is leaving the red to become the white, and obviously the love triangle is still on but in the middle is Will (yellow) "dividing" Mike and El
Now this is all just a theory and it can be just random coincidence, but then we have a shot of Steve watching rvickie and smiling and the white is not in frame anymore, it could add to the foreshadowing of byler endgame if this was intentional !
What makes me think this is possible is also the fact that M. Night Shyamalan in his movies uses colour to give more meaning to them, and the Duffers basically owe their career to him so they could have decided to do the same

i just feel like noah schnapp wouldn’t ship byler so hard and so loud if it was unrequited. like, if mike were straight it’d be like when people shipped stobin romantically. but nobody is coming for noah for saying “byler over anything” or saying it’s problematic which is sort of proof ground zero if you think about it.
also, why would he root for something that is going to literally DESTROY his character’s life if it is unrequited? he roots for will’s happiness FIRST. lol no, byler endgame for sure.
like, ships that challenge or ignore someone’s canon sexuality are the ones seen as problematic. but i don’t think anyone is seeing mike as canonically straight at all lmao.
there’s even m*leven shippers that see will as a love interest for mike and feel openly threatened by it, and they still aren’t saying it’s unrealistic. they’re actually actively arguing with people about it to defend their ship.
if byler was a crackship, m*levens would not feel threatened at all. but they do.
if mike was straight, there would be no love triangle imagery and plot devices. if mike was straight, noah schnapp would not ship byler so hard. if mike was straight, it would be a crack ship and the cast would talk about it as such. byler is so endgame, analyses aside

It's tough to answer without spoiling anything major but as much as I love thinking of Michael x Baal, I also love to imagine them beating each other to death.
And the trilogy is still ultimately a Michael x Lucifer romance. A very long complicated romance but a romance. Undying love that rivals the power of God and whatnot

Firstly, I wanted to say thank you for being one of the loudest voices of reason of this godforsaken fandom.
Secondly… Can I also share my complains? I feel like I’ll die if I won’t talk about it.
I feel like you probably talked about it before, but still these whole “Eddie being the only person in entire group who understands him” trop started a new era of fics where Steve is almost literally hated by Dustin & the party, no one (from Dustin to Hopper) supports him (except for Eddie, of course. Look at out knight in shining armor) and even Robin (EVEN ROBIN GODDAMNIT) abandons him.
And I don’t know where is this desperate desire to isolate Steve from his found family comes from (well, actually, I have a couple ideas)…
These trop also might seem one of the reasons why shovel talks trop became so popular. And again, in this kind of things, everyone in the group suspects the worst about Steve. But… I mean, in my head, the only person who will receive shovel talks from literally everyone would be Eddie. I imagine that even Mike will show up just to say something “y’know dude, you’re cool and I admire you, but if you hurt Steve I smash your head with your guitar). God, there so much potential for Steve & the party dynamics. So much potential for Steve’s and Mike’s dynamic to explore, but no. Of course, we’ll chose the most toxic, abusive and horrendous relationship dynamic to ever exist.
These “Hellfire club feat. Eddie acting like disrespectful pigs while being guests at Steve’s”… And Steve being a helpless damsel in distress who locks up in his room and cries instead of kicking these assholes out… Lord, give me strength.
This top/bottom, dom/sub shit… Look, I actually headcanon Steve as bi. And. I think that he most likely prefer to be bottom. (Not because he’s weak helpless cry baby who can’t stand up for himself), but because he takes care about everyone so much, that he will probably want for once be the person who receives care from his partner. However, this shit with feminisation and infantilisation of Steve went too far. I mean, you want to ship Eddie with someone fragile, feminine, gentle and someone who will actually cry when people being mean to them? Chrissy Cunningham is right there. There’s nothing wrong with shipping f/m ships. I’m telling ya, your taste hasn’t “upgrade” just because you started shipping mlm.
It’s one thing when people recognise that they’re writing toxic, even abusive relationship. But the way some harringrove fics recently started looked better in comparison with some (actually most) steddie fics is just sending me… Yeah, steddies be like “harringrove is this”, “stancy is that” and then write most horrific, toxic and unhealthy shit ever.
Don’t even get me started on this “Robin starts to care less about Steve/stops caring about Steve at all because of Nancy, or other shitty idea for the plot of another shitty fic”… Just fuck ya’ll. Seriously.

And honestly, the way that rockie is (most of the time) in the love triangle fics in which ronance is endgame…
I mean, the most popular fic with rockie is actually a Steve-centered fic (and it’s good, cause it captures Steve’s dynamic with the party) with rockie being a background ship.
And the second most popular rockie fic is actually a ronance fic with vickie being abuser & manipulator. Ronance shippers stop making Vickie gross and rockie as a whole about ronance challenge. Level impossible.

it’s honestly insane the extent that people feel they have to go to to make eddie seem… more important to steve? they have to totally isolate steve from 90% of his friendships. make characters prefer eddie, and say horrible shit to steve, all to make eddie seem like a good option. the only person that treats steve well. that doesn’t spit on him and treat him like shit. and even then that’s often accompanied by eddie’s friends treating steve like shit and eddie going along with it. it’s just ridiculous (and screams of abusive dynamics, but that’s by the by).
shovel talks my beloathed. they suck a lot anyway because people aren’t always great at writing them lmao. but literally the character within steddie that would be receiving shovel talks… eddie!
i mean. these shovel talks also typically happen in a universe where steve saves eddie’s fucking life. and people still feel the need to write all of steve’s friends and families as warning him against hurting eddie. like. wtf lmao.
the way steve and the party dynamics have been left out to die… take me back to a post s2 world!!!!!!!
don’t get me started on the hellfire fics. got steve acting pathetic when my baby boy is a BITCH!!!!
it’s actually so crazy how reactive steddies got about hellcheer and then went to such efforts to deconstruct steve’s character and turn him into chrissy. just fucking ship hellcheer!!!
all that drama about steddies finally being a “good” steve ship, and trying to write the most fics. all to create a toxic and abuse dynamic that rivals harringrove… alright. okay.
so many dynamics suffer at the hands of people prioritising romance and prioritising eddie and it’s literally depressing lol.
rockie was never even given a chance!!! from day one other shippers have done all they can to vilify vickie and for what? because she’s a cute bisexual that loves robin???? let my girl fucking live!!!

One) Henry should've moved to London because he "hates the political climate of his own country" Henry is like, what, NINE? absolutely a wild take, worsened by, "And having a premier league coach as his dad is way cooler than having a dad who coaches his pee wee league" or whatever like. Again, the boy is nine. I think Henry cares more about having a Dad who's present in his life than he does about how "cool" his dad's occupation is.
Two) "Zava was actually way more disciplined than Jamie because he has fantastic habits, whereas Jamie is the type to just give up and go on a reality show." ohhh don't even get me started lmao. i was fuming for days.
6. which ship fans are most annoying?
lol. do i even need to say. specifically the twitter breed of them & no hate to the ship on the whole, just the portion of shippers that are cuckoo bananas about it and target the show creators. An extremely close second for me is the portion of r/k shippers who loathe Jamie for "getting in the way" because I take that personally 😭. Like I'm sorry your endgame didn't happen but please leave him out of this. it's not his fault they had problems the entire time they were dating, lmao. ugh.
8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about
so many. here's a running list.
Roy and Keeley shouldn't have broken up and/or should have gotten back together in the finale.
Roy was OOC when he asked Keeley who the tape was for.
Ted shouldn't have gone home to his son
Matthijs was inherently "creepy" for inviting Rebecca back to his boathouse to get cleaned up after she plummeted into the canal right in front of him. (have you guys never taken a risk ever in your lives?)
Nate didn't deserve redemption
Jamie was CLEARLY completely over Keeley by season 3 (as evidenced by...what exactly?) and it ~came out of nowhere~ to dredge up the "dead" love triangle
I could go on....
13. worst blorbofication
to me the crime is less blorbifying them (because I consider them my blorbos too <3) but I definitely dislike the way some people blorbify Roy and Jamie. Roy for reasons previously discussed and Jamie because there's definitely been a pattern of woobifying him to the extent of like, taking away his agency, dismissing all of his mistakes, and treating him almost like he's weak and constantly needing to be protected when he's absolutely none of those things. Idk. What appeals to me about Jamie is not how "soft" he is it's how relentlessly brave he is. Anyway. They're both my blorbos and i love putting them through the ringer and watching them scramble to pick up the pieces as much as everyone else, but i also think it's important to recognize they're both very much grown adults with asshole tendencies and a large capacity for cruelty who have made plenty of mistakes yet still are deserving of love. what happened to nuance. it's funner to make blorbos out of complex characters you view complexly. anyway.

Fun fact but I had never even read a single fanfic until a few months ago! So the concept that a lot of people read fics knowing exactly what's going to happen, and like to know who's endgame etc. is new to me. I guess I'm approaching it in a way that's slightly more similar to a novel, like when we didn't know if Bella would choose Edward/Jacob or whether Katniss would choose Peeta/Gale (not that Distortion is like a novel in many other ways haha it's definitely self indulgent and fan fic-y) As well as not wanting a spoiler I also didn't know who would be endgame, and still amn't 100% clear on how exactly it'll end. But I always said I wanted it to be a fic with lots of enjoyable lovey content for both ships, even if it's also quite angsty by nature. Also I don't intend on writing an ending that will be super sad or disappointing for anyone if that makes sense? And I'm happy that I've written some Bokris and Bo(Jan)2 exclusive fics too for people who aren't into the uncertainty or the love triangle vibe, hopefully they can enjoy that 🥰

I feel like someone has probably already pointed this out before, but I kind of freaked out when the Duffers explained that they wanted this season to be their Empire Strikes Back season.
I’m sure you guys know the plot. I’ll paraphrase it. Basically, Luke Skywalker wants to be strong enough to defeat Darth Vader, so he goes to Yoda’s planet to train with him and to hone his Jedi abilities. There, he learns to lift a whole spaceship with the Force *AHEM*, and Yoda dies after he’s finally ready to go fight *AHEMMMM*
But what REALLY gets me… is that all of this is happening, and meanwhile, Princess Leia and Han Solo are on their own little side mission, with Chewbacca and C-3PO, desperately trying to escape the Imperial fleet. *AHAHAHEMMM* and eventually go to save Luke from his failed mission to kill Darth Vader.
I LOVE HOW CLOSELY IT ALL ALIGNS TO S4.
Leia and Han are endgame just so y’all know.
Leia is Will, Han is Mike, Luke is obv El.
Leia and Luke are siblings though they don’t know it at first. Han isn’t a love interest for Luke lmao, but there was a weird love triangle going on in the first two movies if that counts.

I despise love triangles I think they’re a sign of bad writing and cheap tricks to try and make one person clearly better than the other. To add BROTHERS into the mix??? And for there to be such a clear endgame??? There’s no competition.
However said endgame is… not a great guy?? I’ve never read the books so maybe there’s something I’m missing but across all fronts Jeremiah is clearly the better guy, better friend, more attune to Belly and figuring shit out for himself despite all the SHIT he’s going through???
Conrad is the elusive older brother that Belly’s had a crush on forever but he’s also what, a college freshman acting like he’s the same age as Belly who is?? Maybe 17 at best? If that? The age gap is a little squicky for me as a grown ass adult but this media clearly isn’t written for me in mind lmao.
That being said, Jeremiah and Belly seem far more aligned with each other in temperance, in camaraderie, in connection… the only appeal I can see for Conrad is that he’s the textbook “moody bad boy” that Belly has believed herself to be in love with. Maybe if I was 16, I could believe that she was stupidly in love with him and he’s “it” for her but I’m not.
I also have so much to say / need from the show about Laurel and Savannah, of grief and of adult friendships but the fandom is tiny and the media is very much NOT made for grown ass women who think about these things lmao

twitter bylers are something else ... jumping to the conclusion that the leaked mileven scene is a break up so early in the game ... what if byler is being treated as a spoiler to be revealed within the last 2 episodes? we'll likely get pro-mileven content and see the devastation that occurs in the community. we gotta be strong and be prepared for whatever happens, not assume the duffers will do the whole love triangle ... peacefully ... bc what if mike isn't fully aware? and it takes VECNA going into his mind to bring forth whats been lying in his subconscious this whole time?
we just do not know with certainty how they'll go about it. and whereas it's fun to speculate, experiencing byler doubt over out of context scenes is so exhausting. so if you're a byler and experience byler doubt, know this:
byler is 100% endgame but they'll make the GA believe that mileven is for as long as they can.
marketing is another thing, but for now i am so certain byler is the way they're going that i'm pretty sure around july i'd have figured out a good chunk of mike's arc, to the point i'm confident i'll be able to predict a leak.
yes, i might be the most delusional person in this entire tag and i might be completely wrong (in which case please be nice lmao im just mainly having fun) but there's a reason why i'm so confident, and i'll share that once the time comes. but for now, know that i'm working hard on that leak prediction
