Hello, if I may ask, do you have any headcanons about enjolras and courfeyrac in the umw universe?
Hello!! I'm about to become an unskippable cutscene 😃
I can't quite remember if any of this has already been mentioned in Enjolras POV chapters but I'll just list everything I've got lol:
- They met when they were seven years old. I've never thought all that much about their parents since they don't feature in the story (though it's safe to assume that Enjolras was already fairly estranged from his parents by the time he became a hunter) but I've always had it in my head that they were initially shoved together because their parents were part of the same social circle and did that thing where they decided their kids should also be friends. I think this happened a lot to both of them as kids and generally didn't work out, especially for Enjolras, who was a shy, serious sort of child and often considered either intimidating or just plain weird by his peers, but on this one occasion it turned out well! Courfeyrac immediately considered Enjolras to be extremely smart and cool, and while Enjolras (unused to positive feedback) was a little unsure of this at first, he quickly realised that Courfeyrac was genuine and they've been best friends ever since.
- They are a classic case of an extrovert adopting an introvert.
- Enjolras has always struggled with making friends—Courfeyrac was really his only close friend through their earlier years at school, but Courfeyrac is very outgoing and gregarious and has a lot of love to give and so he always had a lot of friends, and there were definitely times when Enjolras felt sort of jealous of that, and worried that Courfeyrac would lose interest in him in favour of others. It never happened, of course.
- They met and befriended Joly and Bossuet in their first year at high school, and Marius in their first year of university.
- Their friendship has always confused onlookers since they seem so different, but they actually do have quite a lot in common, and the ways that they are different work to their advantage: Courfeyrac sometimes does need someone to be the voice of reason and responsibility, Enjolras sometimes needs someone to tell him to lighten up.
- Courfeyrac has always been the more emotionally intelligent of the two, but he used to joke that this was the only area in which he was more intelligent than Enjolras because for a long time he didn't consider himself particularly academically smart and would be quite self-deprecating about it. Enjolras never agreed with this assessment and Courfeyrac eventually grew out of the notion, which mainly stemmed from how the adults in their lives perceived him and his more boisterous personality.
- Courfeyrac is bisexual and figured that out pretty quickly as a young teenager. He had a lot of crushes throughout high school and dated quite a few people and Enjolras was woefully unequipped to deal with the emotional turmoil of these teen relationships but did his best to be supportive. For a while they both thought that Enjolras just hadn't reached “the stage” of being interested in dating etc yet, but after a while they realised that this supposed transformation didn't seem to be forthcoming and decided to do some research, leading to Enjolras happily using the aro/ace label for a few years. He was extremely alarmed when he later did develop an interest in a fellow student at university, leading to further research and an understanding that catching feelings is something that happens to him very occasionally. When he least expects it, you might say 👀
- Truly there's a whole slice of life teen drama here that I could get into if I wasn't too busy writing the monster-hunting plot 😂
- Enjolras really struggled with his decision to leave Lyon to pursue hunting without telling Courfeyrac, to the point that I have often daydreamed of an AU where everything is exactly the same except Enjolras ultimately couldn't go through with it and Courfeyrac ends up going with him.
- The characters have developed a lot in the ridiculous amount of time UMW has been ongoing, and I think if I was writing the earlier chapters now, knowing what I know, that Enjolras would have tried to explain to Courfeyrac where he was going, or told some lie to reassure him, or done something other than just vanishing and assuming Courfeyrac would get over it. I don't think him taking off the way he did in the story makes the most sense now, with how much weight their friendship has been given. But I'm locked into it by me from 10 years ago 😂

Gar trails after you. He can't let you keep doing this. If this is your plan, some sort of revenge filled with grief, that's not you. He knows you, too and he swears it's not. You're the one who always said you weren't violent. It sucks and it hurts. It's always going to hurt, he knows that, but this isn't going to make the pain any less for you. So, he follows you.
“You can’t do this!" Gar yells, you keeping your back to him as you reach the bike. "You can’t kill people because you miss Jason! That’s not gonna bring him back!”
You look down and let out a hollowed, venom-filled chuckle. It's never going to be about missing him and that's the thing. He'll never get it. But, it's like this void has opened up in your chest, right where your heart used to be. A blackhole, sucking everything inside of it but never being full. It's just a vast of nothingness and it's not about missing him.
“I’m not doing it because I miss him! Fuck.” You scream, spinning around with your helmet in your hand. “I’m doing this for me and for him and for Dick and Molly and Diego and every other fucking kid that Bruce fucked over and the system fucked over because Bruce said that's fucking justice!"
"And do you think this," Gar gestures around him to the warehouse. "Is justice?!"
"It's better than fucking nothing, Gar!" You let out a harsh breath. "We’re the people left behind to suffer at the hands of people with bad intentions! Because we have no other choices! I’m doing this for all of us! I’m doing this for the life Jason should have had! For the life he deserved to have but never got the fucking chance because of bullshit circumstances! Just like me and Molly and Dick and Diego and all the others! So, you can either shut the fuck up and the fuck on board, or try to fucking stop me.”
Gar shakes his head and it's like he's losing you, too. Donna, Jason, and you. This is going to get you killed. You're going to go after the wrong person and it'll be the end. And this isn't you. You're mad and in the middle fo grief. Grief is messy, it explodes and it always touches more than just the people in the thick of it. He can't just let you do this and end up regretting it.
"We don't kill people." Gar's voice is soft this time and for a split second, you actually feel bad. He wasn't even supposed to be involved but Dick insists on a babysitter. "And I-I don't want to fight you."
"I'm not a we anymore." You shake your head and shrug your shoulders.
Your teeth grit and it's so painful, it's almost numbing to everything. Every day, it's hard and it isn't getting easier. And maybe you think you deserve the pain and numbness from all of it. If anyone should have known Jason was up to something, it should have been you. You put all of this blame on Bruce, but it eats at you, too. You both missed it. Everyone missed it. And the one fucking time he needed you to see it, you missed it and it got him killed.
"I don't want to fight you either but I will if you try to stop me and we both know I'll win." You suck in a breath knowing Gar wouldn't have it in him to actually stop you.
And maybe you're hoping it's a false sense of confidence. Maybe you think you deserve to fight him, have him not on your side anymore. Maybe you don't deserve it anymore.
You turn back around and get on the bike before putting your helmet on. It's not going to bring him back, you know. And it's not going to make you feel better. But, it's better than letting someone else go through what you and every other kid has so far. This city eats people alive. It takes and takes and takes and that is all it has ever done. You're tired of it. You're willing to live with the guilt of blood on your hands if it'll help even a few kids who've been left in the cold. Maybe you deserve it anyway.
“Dick is gonna be pissed.” Gar sucks in a breath as he takes a few steps towards you.
“Kory kills people sometimes. Rose killed Deathstroke. I killed people from CADMUS when they attacked the tower. You killed someone once. Why is it such a big fucking deal right now? Why is so fucking bad right now?”
Honestly, you wonder how it's always Gar caught in the crossfire. Maybe it's just because he's too empathetic, always seeing the good in everyone. It's still something you admire. But, he can't stop you and you desperately wish, he'd just understand.
“Because this isn’t you.” Gar's brows furrow as he stuffs his hands in his jacket pockets.
You look down and clear you throat, feeling the guilt start to eat at your chest. You're not sure what the guilt is though. The guy you just killed or for making Gar give you that look that screams desperation and disappointment.
“Maybe it always should have been though.” You shake your head. “You know, he was bad, right?" You ask. "Like, working with the Joker. Joker had a few guys trafficking kids. Was gonna go after one, Pete Hawkins, but uh, someone beat me to the punch so, next best I guess. So, he wasn't just some guy doing something bad."
"That doesn't make it better." Gar states. "Maybe we could have helped him get out of that."
"Nope, rap sheet five pages long. You don't have to agree with me. But, you can either get on and come with me or call Dick to come get you because I'm not actually going to leave you here alone." You grab the other helmet and extend it towards him.
You're done arguing. Your throat hurts and the day has only just started. Sure, you don't want him with you and you could leave him but that's not very fair to him. If something happened because you left here, that would actually be the end.
Gar moves forward and takes the helmet. "Dick is gonna kill you."
"Eh, he'll bitch about it for awhile and then get over it because I'm grieving." You roll your eyes. "Make him a hypocrite if he did something about it."
"Not funny." Gar scolds as he gets on the back.
"Wasn't a joke." You quip. "Hold on."

I am ashamed to say my taste hasn't changed since I was a teenager. I would have loved this if it was a paperback. But what I love about Interactive fiction is that I can control the narrative after sobbing for hours over stupid MCs in books who pissed me off so I actually really like this.
I simply wanted to say I hope you take care of yourself during the writing process. I noticed you are quite fast with updates and fixing errors and that's great but please don't overwork yourself. Such great books get canceled because talented people take on too much. Remember you are only human (which made me giggle writing because of the premise of this game)
I have questions:
1. Will you in future be making mood boards or maybe just more detailed descriptions of the ROs such as likes/dislikes or personality traits/esthetics?
2. You mentioned there will be sexual and romantic/poly options aswell. Is MCs sexual orientation gonna be an issue or talk point in any of the routes? I'm following a IF where if you are a same gender MC the topic comes up if it's new to a certain RO. which I think is cool if it's done well without all the hate and pitchforks from simple minded people.
3. As for asks is there anything you are uncomfortable answering? I know alot of pages do NSFW asks or prohibit them or do certain scenario asks (the what if/ reactions from RO asks)
I hope none of my questions are too much if it is just feel free to skip them please I don't want you to spoil too much if you would rather not.
My perspective on the romance options are that you are spoiling us. In the end it comes down to romancing:
1. Death which is like wtf I doubt it's in his usual routine to date.
2. Doing a devilish fboy route who you will try to fix and teach emotions. God knows we've all tried that in high school.
Or
My personal hell 3. A forbidden angsty make you want to tell your MC to get it tf together route aka try not to fall for someone with a pulse when you lack one.
I'm very invested in this. Seriously I adore fantasy games usually ones with a darker take but I love slice of life anime so this is the best of both worlds for me.
Thank you for sharing it with us.
First of all - THANK YOU for taking the time with this detailed response. I can't say how much i appreciate it! Before diving into your points I'll note on my quick progress with the story so far, I really get it! This story came to me after 6 years of being in writer's block, so it kind of feels like a dam has broken and this is the result lol. But I'm definitely taking care of myself - just that instead of playing Baldur's Gate 3 all day this is what I'm doing lol. Now to some answers! 1. I'll definitely will come up with a RO board in the near future, i was also wondering if I should use AI art for it but I am kind of new to this scene and really don't want the pitchforks my way so I haven't decided yet 2. As of now, instead of picking an actual orientation the player can just pick the genders of the romance options and then decide to themselves how they feel about them (with 3 romance options and 1 for friendship) i think that's the best way to include everyone. Also, want to add that each romance option will have 2-3 endings so romance or friendship paths can go in different ways. 3. Fine with answering everything! This story is currently not going to have explicit sexual content (but also not fade-to-black. I guess when I cross the bridge I'll decide) I will say that I'm going to update here often BUT don't want the tumblering to take over the actual writing process (as I see some of the creators here do lol) Happy to hear you are excited about the romances like i do! I also have thought of adding more, maybe even with the staff (although that's a minefield to navigate when you consider the power imbalances) I guess it will depend on the feedback. Again, thank you for this response. It made me smile like an idiot!

We’re a Family
Summary: part 2 of Alone Tonight. Robin returns from Europe
The Party has one last get together before the baby arrives
And the happy couple have a baby break.
Authors Note: When I wrote ‘Alone Tonight’ I intended for it to be a one shot. But to be embarrassingly honest, I realized after I posted it that I had totally forgotten about Robin! How could I forget about Steve’s platonic soulmate???
So this story was written to rectify that, and then for some reason I just didn’t stooop typing. So please enjoy this part 2! There will almost definitely not be any more parts. The end is wrapped up pretty completely so if there’s ever another part (don’t get your hopes up) it’ll just be a bonus story like the one at the very end. Haha.
The Ao3 link is pinned on page if you’d rather read it there or want to follow the series IF I ever do write more for this universe lol!
I also just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the positive feedback, the likes, and the reblogs. It means so much to me. I am so grateful to you all. I love this fandom. ❤️
Tumblr media
“Are you sure I look okay?” You’re stood by the front door, wearing your favorite casual maternity dress. Bright yellow sunflowers adorning every inch of the soft fabric.
Steve comes out from the kitchen and looks you up and down with the biggest smile on his face. “Baby, stop it, you look gorgeous. It’s taking everything in me not to ravish you right here and now.”
You grab his arms and pull him as close as you can get with your giant baby bump pressed between you. “I’m serious Stevie. I’m so nervous.”
He pulls back and looks into your eyes, cupping your face with both hands, “What is there to be nervous about, Sweetheart? She’s going to love you.”
“But what if she doesn’t? What if she hates me. I know how close you two are, I know you’ll leave me if she doesn’t give me the seal of approval.”
Steve huffs a laugh. He leans in and kisses your nose. Your face scrunches up in a deep frown. “Luckily, you won’t have to worry about that, because she’s. going. to. love. you.” He kisses you softly on the lips, just a sweet bit of reassurance. “Plus, she practically loves you already. She would’ve protested the wedding if she didn’t.”
“Prot- what do you mean?”
“Well, I mean it’s not like I haven’t talked to her the whole time she’s been away. I wrote to her about you like 10 times just in the first week we met. And like you said about approval and all that… I mean we wouldn’t have been engaged, let alone married without her giving the okay.”
You playfully slap him in the arm, “what the heck Steven.”
“Oh come on, not my government name.”
You sigh deeply, “Alright well, I guess I feel a little bit better then.” You think for a moment in silence, “wait, you didn’t tell her about the whole reason we spent the night together did you?”
He grimaces, eyes scrunched up tight, “I mean I didn’t not tell her.”
“Oh my gosh-“ you grab the doorknob and charge out of the front door, “you swore you wouldn’t tell anyone.” You’re whining all the way down to the car, Steve following close behind you.
“I know baby, but Robins not just anybody.” Before you can get in the car he grabs you from behind and pulls you close to his chest. “She’s my platonic soulmate. I pretty much have to tell her everything ever or else one of us will die.”
“Mmm” you purse your lips “that’s a little over dramatic. But. It’s already out there so. As long as she doesn’t like blab to anyone else about it, or brings it up at all really, I think we’ll be okay.”
He kisses the top of your head and let’s go of you so he can open the door for you. The laugh that leaves his mouth is a little uneasy. “Yeah yeah, should be fine.”
The diner is fairly empty for a Friday night. You can’t help but smile as you remember the first time Steve brought you here. It was your first official date, just a couple days after what was meant to be a one night stand. He’d called the Byers-Hopper residence asking for you, when Will answered the phone. He’d wiggled his eyebrows at you as he handed you the phone, a little smirk on his face. That very night he’d brought you here and the rest was history.
“What’re you thinking of getting this time?” Steve asked, flipping through the greasy menu.
“Well,” you sighed, rubbing your stomach in wide circles, “Eddie really wants a strawberry milkshake. And a greasy bacon cheese burger. And fries. And mozzarella sticks. And a pickle. And-“
“Geez, sweetheart. Eddie wants a lot tonight huh?” He laughed, patting your leg under the table.
“I’ll be happy when these pregnancy cravings are gone. And when I’m, yanno, not pregnant anymore.”
He looks up at you, concern in his eyes. “I thought you liked being pregnant?”
“I do baby, I do. But once you hit 8 months it’s like. A lot. He’s so heavy, and my crotch hurts like all the time. And I can’t breath. And I feel like my stomachs going to explode sometimes. And Eddie keeps like kicking me… like for real, I thought he broke a rib last week.” You take a deep breath, “it’s just like a lot now, we’re so close to the finish line I’m just ready to evict the tenant yanno?”
“I’m sorry my love,” he kisses your cheek tenderly, “if I could do the last month for you I would.”
“I know you would, handsome. You’re so good to me.” You close the gap between your faces and kiss him deeply. He puts his arm around you to bring you closer to him in the tight booth.
“Gross.” You hear from behind you.
“Robin!” Steve exclaims. You scoot out of the booth as quickly as you can, Steve helping you with a hand on your lower back.
“Um, hi, Robin” you put your hand out to shake hers, “it’s so nice to meet you, I’ve heard so much about you!” Robin slaps your hand out of the way and brings you in for, what would be a crushing hug, if not for your belly.
“Not as much as I’ve heard about you, probably heard way too much about you honestly. But that’s okay because you make Dingus happy and that makes me happy. Seriously, very cool to meet you. Geez you’re huge.” Robin, you learn, is a rambler. Which you instantly love because you can be too. “How far along are you now?”
“8 months. Ready to pop this baby out already.”
“Bet Steve hasn’t been able to keep his hands off of you.” Robin smirks.
“You have no idea” you bit your lip, rubbing your tummy, “thought our sex life was wild before-”
“Gross,” she laughs lightly and clears her throat. “And you’re uh, you’re really naming him Eddie?” She asks, eyes a bit glossy.
“Yeah,” you smile down at your tummy, “Edward William”
“William? After Will?”
“Not- not exactly. Well, I mean yes and no.”
“Oh no, please tell me that’s not because of Billy?” She looks up at Steve who in turn puts his hands up in a defensive position and shrugs.
“Yeah. Well. I mean, I heard what a douche he was but- I’ve also heard about yanno- all the stuff that happened to you guys and- well he saved my sisters life.” You pause and look over at Steve and then back to Robins curious eyes. “I never even would’ve met Jane if not for Billy. And from what it sounds like, this whole town and even the world wouldn’t have made it without Jane so. Domino effect and all that. Felt like- well it felt like he deserved a bit of a tribute too, yanno?”
“Yeah, yeah you’re right.” She pats your arm. When she turns to look at Steve it seems like he can’t take it anymore, he’s bursting at the seems to be close to his platonic soulmate. He moves in on Robin in an instant and swoops her up in his arms, spinning her around in a bear hug. “Missed you, can’t believe you left me all alone for 5 years. Come on and sit. Tell us about Europe.”
“Well it’s not like I left to just travel the world without reason. I was studying abroad!” She scoots into the booth across from you, ”Education and all that.”
“Whatever man, there’s colleges here, you abandoned me but that’s fine. Yanno, whatever, missed my wedding but that’s fine I guess.”
“Shut up” she laughed “at least I’ll be here for the birth of your child. I know that’s most important to you. Six little nuggets.”
“Yeah, that’s true.” He smiles over at you. “Okay, enough about us, let’s hear about all the trouble you got up to.”
“Alright alright fine… so, it’s one of my first nights in Paris and as I’m walking by this cafe I notice this girl staring at me from the balcony-“
Jonathan and Nancy’s house was the new hub for the Party. With everyone having moved out of their respective childhood homes, and some having moved out of Hawkins completely. It made sense that their house was the best meeting place, when everyone was back in town.
Plus, it was bigger than yours and Steve’s small 2 bedroom starter home. Not that you didn’t have the money for something bigger. You were a renowned artist in Indiana at this point, selling several Photobooks and even having gallery events every couple of years where large canvases of your photos were sold to the elite of the state and elsewhere. You two were just, saving up. Steve really did want 6 little nuggets. And you were happy to have them, but you both wanted to make sure your future home was large enough to house such a large brood.
The Byers home was fairly large, not too big but the living room was definitely sizable. Looking around the Party, you think they might have purchased this particular house with them in mind. It was unbelievably sweet how close everyone was, it made you feel so warm. Especially to see how welcoming they had been of you too.
In fact, this whole gathering was technically, for you. Well, for you and Steve and the birth of your son. One last movie night before babysitters and extra planning would have to be involved. As well as the fact that Dustin and Suzie had flown in from Utah, specifically to be here for when Eddie arrived. Everyone was here, and that meant party time.
Nancy was pattering about the kitchen, emptying bags of popcorn into several large bowls. You waddled in behind her, gripping the counter for some extra support. “Hey Nance, can I help you with anything?”
She looked up at you and smiled, “No no, y/n, I’ve got it!”
You pull out a stool from the island in the center of the large kitchen and climb onto it. Struggling a little bit, your balance off and swollen ankles doing you no favors. “Alright I guess I’ll just sit here then, and watch you, while my hands do nothing.”
She laughs, rolling her eyes “Alright fine, here, you can put all the candy into these individual bowls.” Bringing over two brown paper bags full of candy and a stack of small bowls.
“Good grief, it’s like we’re feeding an army of small children.”
“We pretty much are,” she sighs as the timer goes off on the oven. She puts her oven mitts on and grabs the tray of chicken nuggets. Plopping them on the stove top.
“So,” you grab the first bag of candy and start pouring it into the porcelain bowl “Did you think Steve would be the first in the Party to have kids?”
“Yes. We all knew he would actually.”
“Oh? Even when he was single though? I mean, Dustin and Suzie were married first, then you and Jonathan and then Max and Lucas, and then me and Steve… were last, so far anyway.”
“Well that’s true” Nancy starts, grabbing her spatula and transferring the nuggets onto a serving platter. “But Steve’s the only one in the Party who just wholeheartedly couldn’t wait to be a parent.”
You’re smiling down at the bowls of candy in front of you. “He’s going to be an amazing father.”
“He is,” she agrees. “He was a great older brother to these kids growing up. You should’ve seen him. Especially with Dustin.”
“I wish I would’ve been around then. Hearing your stories, seeing the closeness between everyone. It’s so beautiful.” Your eyes well up with tears “You’re like a family, but like more than that even. I feel so blessed to even be allowed in.”
“Oh y/n are you okay?” Nancy rushes around the island over to your stool. She rubs your back as you start to cry.
“I’m fine I promise,” your chest heaving “it’s the hormones I swear.”
“You are our family y/n. And we are so happy to have you. You make Steve so happy, and you’re giving him a gift that he’s always wished for. If anyone’s blessed, it’s us.” She grabs your hands and helps you down off the stool, “why don’t you go to the bathroom and get cleaned up and I’ll meet you out in the living room with all the food okay?” You nod, realizing your mascara must’ve been running down your face.
The half bath is right across the hall from the living room. You could hear everyone chatting, laughing and catching up as you wipe your cheeks free of the dark streaks of watered down mascara. You’re not trying to eavesdrop, but with nothing else to focus on you end up listening in on Steve, Robin, and Jonathan’s conversation. Especially when it becomes clear they’re talking about you.
“Wait so how did you two meet again?” Robin asks.
“In the second semester of my first year, she was in my Lighting and Exposure class. We had to do a project with a partner and she just walked up to me and asked if I wanted to work with her.” Jonathan said with a nervous tremor. “I was a little hesitant at first but she wouldn’t really take no for an answer and I didn’t know anyone in the class so.”
“She is a stubborn one isn’t she?” Steve laughed.
“Yeah” Jon mused.
“And just like that you were friends?” Robin seemed a little skeptical that that was the end of the story.
“I mean yeah, we worked on the project together and learned we had a lot in common so we started hanging out more. Introduced her to Argyle after a while and yeah… we were inseparable after that I guess.”
Steve stayed quiet, you knew he was the jealous type. Like an excitable guard dog. Thankfully he wasn’t one to growl until it seemed like there truly was an intruder but the silence meant he was watching. Waiting. Protective of his little family.
He’d never been jealous of your friendship with Jonathan, even knowing how you used to feel about him. He knew you and Jonathan were still close. He seemed very secure in your relationship. But hearing about the time before him seemed to make him uncomfortable.
“So what about that semester when you and Nancy were broken up? You never thought about, like asking y/n out? Or were you never attracted to her that way?”
You almost burst out of the bathroom with that line of questioning. What the hell was Robin trying to do? But you were curious too, so you stayed as quiet as you could in the bathroom, ear practically pressed flush with the door.
“Uh” Jonathan coughed, “I guess I just always saw her as more of a sister.” Oh that stung.
“Damn. Poor girl never even had a chance with you.”
You froze. All the blood leaving your face.
“What do you mean? Never had a chan- she never, wait, did she say something-“
“Damnit Robin.” Steve sighed heavily.
Their voices seemed to fade, like Steve was dragging her away. “I said too much again, didn't I? I’m so sorry Steve, please don’t tell her. Oh my-“
You flushed the toilet and washed your hands, having spent too much time in the bathroom now to have just been wiping your face, or even just peeing. You were mortified. But you had to go out there like nothing was wrong, like you didn’t hear your husband's best friend expose you to your best friend.
You exited the bathroom to find everyone sitting down on the couches and piles of pillows on the floor. Steve was sitting near the center of the main sofa, Robin on one side and an empty spot for you on the other. You waddled over to the couch and slowly lowered yourself into the open seat. Exhaling in relief when he pulled your aching feet into his lap to rub them.
“Whiiiipped” Dustin whispered from the floor. Suzie slapped him hard in the chest “ow. Sorry geez.”
“I think it’s sweet Dusty, you’re not going to rub my feet when they start to swell?”
“Of course I will honey. I’ll do whatever you need to be comfortable.” He kisses her on the cheek.
“Now who’s whipped,” Steve mumbles.
You look down at the couple, confusion written on your face. You’re not sure if they realize what they have just confessed. “Suzie, are you..?”
She smiles wide and just nods. The whole room goes nuts with excitement and congratulations.
“That’s amazing Suz I’m so happy for you! Looks like we won't be the only parents in the Party for long.” You nudge Steve with your shoulder. He looks like he’s about to burst into tears. His first child, his little brother, about to be a parent himself. He couldn’t be more proud.
“Who's next?” You ask, looking around the room.
“Probably you again.” Mike laughs.
“Let me have this one first before even thinking about the next one Mike. Geez. Give my uterus a break.” You huff, “but damned if I don’t agree, it’s going to be me or Suzie again. Or there will be a long break and it’ll be Nancy.”
“That would be a very long break” she chuckles, “Jonathan and I agreed, no kids until I’m further in my career. Probably will be a long long time.”
“Whenever you’re ready! Don’t let anyone push you to have them sooner.”
“Did Steve push you to have one so soon?” Max asked, curiosity getting the better of her.
A devious smile creeped up your lips, “oh I didn’t have a choice, but it wasn’t because he pushed me into it, it’s because of his massive d-“
“PLEASE,” Will called out from beside Mike, “not again. I beg you. We’ve heard enough about Steve’s” he gestured wildly with his hands “stuff.”
You can’t help but laugh, Steve joining in, squeezing your ankle in the process. “I’m just joking. We made the choice together as a couple. We were just ready,” you look up into Steve’s warm loving eyes, “Steve’s always been ready, you all know that. So he waited patiently for me. But it didn’t take too long, obviously. I just couldn’t wait to have a little Steve running around.” He kisses you softly when you finish.
When the second movie ends, everyone gets up and stretches their legs. Some rushing to the bathroom, some grabbing the bowls of popcorn and candy, others cleaning up the trash. You’re still sitting on the couch, perks of being weighed down by a tiny human, when Jonathan approaches.
He rubs the back of his neck, tremor in his voice as he says, “Hey y/n so I’ve got a project I’ve been working on, I’d like to show you now if that’s okay?”
“Sure,” you smile and offer both your hands to him “but you’ll have to get me up first.”
He grabs your hands and yanks you up out of the soft sofa. “When are you due again? Feel like you’ve been pregnant forever.”
“Me too. Due date is a week from now but the doctor said it could be any day now.” He leads you up the stairs to the second floor where he’s converted one of the spare bedrooms into his own little darkroom.
The window in the room is completely blacked out. Covered by a piece of plywood painted black. No light getting through, it’s perfectly snug. He flips on a light and the red bulb flickers to life in the middle of the room. You waddle in, taking in the scenery as your eyes adjust to the darkness. He shuts the door behind you. In the dark it’s almost impossible to see where he is. The red light not much help.
“This is amazing Jonathan. Now we won’t have to drag everything to and from the Arts center anymore.”
“Yeah,” he huffs a laugh “I figured that would be a lot more difficult now, with the baby and everything.”
“You.. didn’t do this for me… did you?”
“No, well” he takes a deep breath, “not just for you. I did it for us.”
“Oh”
“Not like that,” he rubs his hand across his face, “I mean like, shit. I just meant that I knew you’d have a hard time dragging a baby to the Arts center and well, I wouldn’t want to go without you and knowing that you weren’t there because you couldn’t go. Not because you didn’t want to be there. And you’re my best friend and I want you to be happy. I want to be able to still see you and do the thing we love, together.”
“Jonathan,” you find him in the darkness, giving his arm a squeeze “that’s so sweet. Thank you. This means a lot.”
“Of course.” He clears his throat, “I did uh, I did want to ask you about something though.”
Your heart drops to your stomach. You knew what he was going to ask about. You’d hoped maybe he’d just forget about it though. “Sure” you whisper.
“I was talking to Robin earlier and she said something that confused me.”
“Sounds like Robin” a nervous giggle choking out of you. You cough awkwardly into your fist and wait. Leaning on the table next to you.
Jonathan mimics you in the dark, leaning his hip against the table and placing his hand flat against it. “You never like, had a thing for me…did you?”
You breathed out a heavy sigh. Weighing the pros and cons in your head. If you lied to him you would always have this pressure on your chest. You never lied to him, he was the closest person to you, after Steve of course. But would it ruin your friendship if you told him the truth?
You knew there wasn’t really a point in weighing your options. There was only one really choice here. You were always going to be honest with him. “Yeah. Yeah I did have a thing for you. Of course I did.” Your laugh was breathy, full of nerves. You weren’t ready to lose your best friend. Your family.
“Why didn’t you ever say anything?” He inched his fingers towards yours on the table. Barely brushing against your fingertips.
“Well, I thought I was dropping hints there for a while but you never really picked up on them I guess? And then you and Nancy got back together so I just decided that you know. It doesn’t matter now.”
“Dropping hints? Y/n I’ve never known you to drop hints. You usually just say whatever you’re thinking. Bold and stubborn and loud.”
“Those don’t sound like compliments.”
“Trust me,” he slipped his hand over yours and squeezed. “They are.” He laughed a little under his breath, “I can’t believe you used to like me.”
“Jonathan” your chest was tight, “I didn’t just used to like you. I was in love with you.”
“You, you loved me?” He sounded so taken off guard. Like he didn't even think for a second that was a possibility.
“I did. Well, I still love you of course. Im just not IN love with you anymore. But it doesn’t matter now. And honestly, I’m so glad things turned out the way they did. You and Nancy are perfect for each other. And if it wasn’t for your wedding I never would have met the love of my life. And I wouldn’t be having this baby. And I wouldn’t take any of it back.” You took in a deep shuddering breath, “everything worked out exactly the way it was supposed to.”
He squeezed your hand again and let go, “You’re right. I wouldn’t change anything either. But I do wish I would’ve known. Maybe I could’ve made things easier on you. Pulled back on the PDA or something. Or maybe even introduced you to Steve sooner.”
“There’s no telling if I’d be with Steve now if I’d met him sooner. We only went home together because we were both sad about the people we loved getting married…”
“Oh come on y/n” you heard a voice muffled from outside the door.
“Shit. Pretend I didn’t say that. Please please forget I said that.” You yelled back at Jonathan as you ran to leave through the dark room door.
“You heard everything huh” you said as you met Steve in the hallway.
“Yeah.” He looked down at his shoes. “Didn’t mean to eavesdrop or anything. Just came up to see if you were ready to go.”
“I’m sorry I spilled your secret. I was only trying to explain my side. Didn’t mean to throw you under the bus with me.”
He looked down at you, hand coming to your cheek, forehead pressing to yours. “It’s okay sweetheart. You said some really pretty things in there. And I want you to know that, I wouldn’t change a thing either.” He kisses you gently.
“I love you so much baby.” You whisper against his mouth.
“I love you too. More than anything.”
Edward William Harrington was born 2 days later. Ten fingers and ten toes. A full head of hair, thanks Steve. So so tiny. The most beautiful little thing you had ever laid eyes on.
Steve sat close next to you on the hospital bed, holding little Eddie in his arms. He hadn’t stopped silently crying since you’d handed the bundle over to him. You’d never seen the man happier than in this moment. “He’s perfect.” Steve whispered.
“He really is.”
“I should call my parents.”
Your face scrunched up, “I guess you should. You called Joyce and Hopper already right?”
“Yeah, yeah they’re in the waiting room. I’ll go get them, just- just want a few more minutes to admire our little guy before the chaos.”
“Okay, big boy. Take all the time you need.”
He leans down and kisses your forehead. “I’m just overwhelmed,” he takes a shuddering breath, laughing on the exhale “Didn’t think it was possible to be this happy.”
“Me either.” Your cheeks hurt from how hard you’re smiling, “Feels like a dream. Well, all this with you and the baby I mean. My vagina does not feel like a dream. It feels very much real.”
When Mr. and Mrs. Harrington arrive, you have your best fake smile plastered across your face. You hadn’t seen them since the baby shower and you didn’t want to see them now. But keeping up appearances was the Harrington way.
“Would you look at that.” Mrs. Harrington said, voice low as she walked over to the bed. “He is gorgeous.”
“He is isnt he?” Your rocking him lightly in the crook of your elbow. Watching as he sucks on his own lip.
“How was the labor?” She asked. And you looked straight up to Steve. His face instantly fell into a grimace. Knowing she’d walked right into this one.
You look up at her and smile, “well, it wasn’t too bad actually. Steve’s cock is roughly the size of a newborn baby so Eddie just kinda slipped right out.”
She snapped her head to look at Steve, anger written all over her face, “why do you let her talk to me this way?”
Steve pinched the bridge of his nose, hand on his hip. “I don’t control my wife, mom, she’s her own person. I don’t ‘let’ her do anything. She has free will.” He pauses and sighs, “and you did call her a whore at our baby shower.. so.”
“Well I don’t like her foul mouth.”
“Okay mom, well, it’s either put up with it or never see your grandson. What’ll it be?”
You smiled at her, all teeth when she looked back at you. “Fine.” she said through gritted teeth.
“I’ll try to clean up my mouth Mama Harrington. As long as you promise to be a good and kind grandparent, and remember your place. I am Eddie’s mother. I make the choices in how to raise him, as well as Steve. Not you.”
After your in-laws left, Steve put your sleeping baby boy in his little bassinet and sat back on the bed with you again. Kissing your hair and rubbing your shoulders. “I couldn’t have asked for a better husband.” You look up at him as he leans in to kiss you gently. “You’re always standing up for me. Even when I say the most disgusting things to your parents.”
“Well. I mean they deserve it.”
“I know, and that’s why I do it. A little payback for being such shitty parents to you.”
“I’m honestly so grateful for it. I’ve never had someone care for me the way you do. Can’t believe how lucky I got with you.”
“You’re gunna get lucky with me. Soon as that 6 week mark hits. Gunna get lucky with me a lot.”
Steve laughs, squeezing your shoulder “Oh I know it baby, Im looking forward to it.”
“This is going to be the longest time we’ve gone without having sex.”
“Mmhm, it’s gunna be hard to keep my hands off of my sexy wife.”
“Don’t worry big boy, I’ll still blow you.” You bite your lip as you slide your hand up his thigh. “We can’t have penetrative sex but no one said anything about me giving you oral.”
Steve swallows hard, “Shit sweetheart, that mouth is always trying to get me in trouble.”
“So you’re saying yes to the blow job?”
“Oh no no, baby I honestly think we’re going to be too tired to even think about all that once we get home,” He places his hand on your cheek and pulls your face to look up at him, “and I'm honestly not interested in any of that unless you’re also receiving.”
“Mm my sweet selfless man.”
“Well it’s not completely selfless, I get off to you getting off.”
“Ugh fuck, I’m going to drop this conversation right here. My crotch hurts too much to think of mutual gratification.”
Steve kisses you softly on the tip of your nose, “I know my love, get some rest okay?” He gets off the bed gently and sits in the recliner next to the bassinet, “might as well get some sleep while he’s sleeping.”
2 months later
Raising a newborn as sweet and quiet as Eddie was a joy. A blessing. A surprise to say the least. Motherhood came easy to you and fatherhood even easier to Steve. He was your whole world. But because of this, you and Steve had not had a second to yourselves.
“I swear Nancy, every single time I try and touch Steve in any way, Eddie starts crying. And I’m not complaining about taking care of my sweet little bundle of joy. He’s so easy to care for, but his timing is crazy.” You let out a deep sigh, hugging the phone closer to your ear “last night, I cuddled up against Steve not 5 minutes after laying Eddie down in his bassinet, and I’m thinking okay, okay here we go. I’m not kidding okay, the moment- the very second I kiss his neck, Eddie starts wailing. It’s like he has a little alarm in his brain for when mommy and daddy want to love on each other.”
Nancy laughs, “That does sound like a rather unfortunate dilemma.”
“It is, it really is. I was given the okay to resume marital activities two weeks ago and the farthest we’ve gone is kissing, no tongue, and a thigh grip.”
“A thigh grip? Who gripped who?”
“It was me, gripping myself because I’m deprived, but Eddie wouldn’t let me have that either.” You whine.
“How about you and Steve drop Eddie off here this weekend. Jon and I would love to watch that beautiful little angel baby.”
“Wait, are you sure? Oh Nancy, thank you. Please, yes.”
“Absolutely. We could use some practice anyway right?”
“Well you are welcome to practice with all of the kids we have until you have your own. Seriously, thank you.”
You’re staring down at your sweet little boy as you walk up the Byers residence. Admiring his thick brown hair, large dark eyes, and sweet little button nose. He’s looking up at you from the crook of your elbow and cooing.
The closer you get to the door, the more anxious you start to feel. You’ve never been away from Eddie for longer than 30 minutes, and that was just to shower. He was always in the same room as you, or one room over.
“Are you okay, baby?” Steve asks as you reach the door. He puts his hand on the small of your back.
You feel a tear slip down your cheek, “Yeah, yeah I’m just- I’ve never been away from him. I’m scared to leave him. What if something happens while we’re away and he gets hurt or sick and I won’t be there to take care of him.”
“Oh honey,” he wipes the tear from your cheek and pulls your head to lean on his shoulder, little Eddie cooing between you. “He will be perfectly fine. Nancy and Jon are going to take such good care of him. I trust them with my life, I know they will do everything in their power to keep our boy safe. I know they will.”
You nod, sniffling lightly. “Okay. You’re right. I know you’re right.”
You reach out and ring the doorbell. In less than 30 seconds Jonathan is there swinging the door open with the dopiest smile you’ve ever seen on him. “Hey!! Let me have him!!” Jon extends his arms out, making grabby hands.
He looks so happy you can’t help but hand the baby right over to him. Just like that the anxious feeling disappears, you know he’s in safe and loving arms.
“Hey Eddie,” Jonathan rocks him gently, “it’s me, Uncle Jonathan. Do you remember me? From the hospital?” Eddie’s little hand grips onto Jonathan’s finger, he squeals and flails his little arms.
“Thank you for doing this Jon,” you pat his arm, moving around him in the doorway to step into the foyer. “It means a lot to us.”
Steve puts the diaper bag down on the entryway table. “This is everything you’ll need. Y/n pumped enough milk for 2 days so you should have plenty. He’s not used to the bottle nipple so it might take a few tries to get him to drink from it. But otherwise, he’s super easy. He just eats and sleeps and does his cute little baby noises right now.”
“If he gives you any trouble, Mom said to just call her and she’ll come right over. I know you won’t though. But maybe just let Mom come over anyway, she’s been coming over like twice a week but I wouldn’t let her this week so she’s probably itching for a visit.”
Jonathan breathes a laugh, “Alright sounds good. Thanks for trusting us guys. We’ve really been looking forward to having this little one in the house.”
Steve squeezes your hip, wrapping his arm around you and pulling you close “alright I think that’s our cue to leave.”
You look down at Eddie in Jonathan’s arms. He’s started to blink slowly, falling asleep as you watch him. “Bye bye my love,” you whisper, leaning down to kiss his forehead, “be good for your uncle.”
When you move out of the way, Steve leans in to kiss him too, smoothing his hair from his forehead with his thumb. When he looks back at you, his eyes are glassy. You grab his hand and squeeze it.
“Have fun you two!” Jonathan calls as you walk out the front door.
Once you're both buckled into the car Steve looks over at you and clears his throat, “So- uh, when did you start calling Joyce mom?”
“Oh well, I guess it started just recently.” You smooth your hands over your soft blue dress. “She’s been a mother figure to me for years now, as you know. But with her coming over all the time now and calling Eddie her first grandchild, well, she is my mom. Yanno? And she is Eddie’s grandma and I don’t know. It just feels right to call her mom.”
Steve reaches out to you, grabbing your hand and squeezing your fingers gently, “That makes me really happy sweetheart.”
The hotel room is almost as nice as the room you stayed in for your honeymoon. You’d decided to stay in a hotel rather than going back to the house, because the house would just remind you of Eddie. And that would just lead to missing your baby. This was a little escape. A chance to spend uninterrupted time with your husband.
You're stalking around, checking out the room when Steve sneaks up behind you and wraps you in a bear hug. “It’s so quiet in here” he murmurs into your neck.
“Mmm, it really is. No music, no sweet baby sounds, no creaking rocking chair.”
“It’s just you and me sweetheart.” Steve starts kissing a line down your neck and over your shoulder, pulling the soft neckline of your dress out of the way.
“Yeah? And what do you wanna do with me now that you’ve got me all to yourself?”
He turns you around in his arms so you’re face to face with him, immediately kissing you hard and licking into your mouth without resistance. “Fuck” you moan into his mouth.
“I’m going to make love to you slowly,” he whispers into your mouth, “but not until after I fuck you.”
You let out a pathetic sounding whimper, clenching your thighs at the thought, “Please baby yes, it’s been too long. Want you to ruin me.”
He picks you up by your waist and throws you onto the bed in the middle of the room, crawling over you. His fingertips trail slowly up the length of your thighs, pushing your dress up as he goes. Steve’s eyes are black with desire. He leans up over you and whispers in your ear as he grips your mound in one hand, “I'm gonna make you cum twice on my tongue and then I want you to cum on my cock, understood?”
You feel the slick of your arousal spilling from you. The combination of not having sex in months and Steve’s words have you writhing against his palm. “Yes, Daddy, I understand” you whimper.
“Fuck, good girl.” he moans, “so fucking wet for me already. Can feel you soaking through your little panties.”
“Missed you touching me, Stevie” you mewl, you can’t stop thrusting your hips into his hand “Missed your fingers, and your tongue.” He takes his hand off your clothed cunt and starts to pull your underwear down with two fingers. “Mmm, I miss your gorgeous cock. Seeing you in the shower just isn’t the same. Need you warm inside me.”
He huffs a breathless laugh, biting his lower lip, “You didn’t find me sexy while I helped you and our son bathing in the shower?”
“It was sexy in a different way baby, like in a wow I’m so lucky to have such a loving attentive husband- ah” your sentence is cut off by Steve’s hot mouth on your neck, sucking a biting a bruise on your pulse point, “fuck, mmm this is a very different kind of sexy.”
He licks up the column of your throat to your mouth and hovers just above your kiss swollen lips, “I know baby I’m just teasing you” he smiles, pressing a quick kiss to your waiting lips and sucking your bottom lip into his mouth.
“I don’t know how much teasing I can take, I’m close to bursting. And I know that’s not the teasing you were talking about but fuck you’re doing both right now.”
Steve snorts, “awww my poor little girl needs me huh?” He mocks.
“Yes Daddy I really do” his eyes roll to the back of his head and bucks gently into you involuntarily. “If you’re gunna make me cum twice on your tongue big boy, then you better get started cause I need your cock. I. Need. It. I can’t take anymore build up, I’ll run out of fluid.”
Steve laughs and moves his hand back down to your aching cunt. He runs two fingers through your folds, “You’re so fucking wet” he says, bringing his fingers to his mouth and sucking them clean. You arch your back, writhing beneath him.
“Please please I really can’t do teasing right now, I need you.”
“Okay okay” he bites his lip, “so do you want my tongue at all then or do you just want me to fuck you?”
“I want your tongue later, we have all night. I need your cock now. I’m literally creating a puddle, I don’t need any foreplay. Foreplay was the drive over here, the anticipation was foreplay. Let’s go cowboy, put your monster in my cave.”
“Yes ma’am” he leans in to kiss you deeply before getting up off the bed and chucking his pants and boxers off at lightning speed. You rip your comfortable cotton dress off and throw it to the floor.
“Oh fuck there he is,” you moan reaching for Steve with grabby hands.
He crawls over you again, placing himself gently between your open legs, “you miss me? I was only gone for a second.” He says starting a trail of kiss from your clavicle up to your neck.
“You I see you all the time, I missed him” you say reaching down and grabbing his cock, giving it a little stroke. He starts a laugh but it’s strangled, a breathy exhale replacing it. “I haven’t seen him in months.”
Steve sits up suddenly, grabbing your legs by the thighs and pulling you closer to him. Lining himself up with your entrance he smirks up at you, slapping your wet cunt with his member, still teasing. Your hands fly up to his toned biceps, nails digging into his skin, babbling incoherently. You’re lost in desperation, painfully aroused and waiting, begging him to just fuck you already.
He pushes the head of his cock in, ripping an obnoxious moan from you both. And that does it, that pushes the playfulness out of Steve, at last taking his task seriously. He throws your legs over the crook of his arms and leans back over you. Kissing you forcefully before thrusting in all at once. Your scream is muffled by his mouth, tears already welling in your eyes. The onslaught of pleasure is overwhelming. “You okay baby?” He checks in, seeing your tears, “I didn’t hurt you did I?”
“No, no, no it feels so good. You’re so fucking big. Please, please move.”
He starts in a slow rhythm, it definitely feels more like making love than fucking and it’s overwhelming. Steve is looking right into your eyes and you're looking back and it’s like you're staring into each other's souls. Tangled like pretzels in this beautiful hotel room, you’ve never felt so at peace. You place a hand gently on the side of his face, tracing his bottom lip with your thumb. “I love you so much.” You whisper.
He closes his eyes, pressing his forehead to yours “I love you too.” He whispers back between shallow breaths, “luckiest man in the world.”
You giggle at that, “Mm I don’t know about that, but I’ll take it.” You kiss him gently before wiggling your hips a little, meeting his slow thrusts. “I need more big boy, wanna feel more of you.”
He nods, concentration clear on his face as he picks up the pace. Thrusting harder and deeper and quicker. “Like that? Mm?”
“Yesyesyesyes” you whine, throwing your head back against the comforter, eyes squeezed shut. When you look up at him again, he drops one of your legs and places a big hand on your face. Playing with your lips with his thumb until you open wide enough to let him stuff it in your hot wet mouth. You suck on it immediately, knowing what he wants. He curses under his breath and thrusts once harder, your responding moan vibrating through his thumb.
He takes it out of your mouth and reaches down between you to rub quick circles on your clit. “F-Fuck, I’m gunna cum baby, I’m gunna cum.” You cry out.
“Already?” He chuckles.
“It’s been- ahh - it’s been months since anything has” you struggle to form words as your vision starts to blur around the edges. “Since I’ve-“
Steve shushes you gently keeping up the rhythm with his hips and thumb until you're quivering and squeezing him from the inside. A string of expletives escaping between pornagraphic moans, cumming hard on his cock.
“Need a break?” He asks as you come back down to earth, feeling exhausted already from cumming so hard.
“No, I don’t need a break. Keep going, don’t stop.”
“You sure you’re not overstimulated? Give me a color baby.” He punctuates by rocking his hips gently.
“Definitely overstimulated but I like it, green green green.”
“Okay,” smiles, grabbing a milk swollen breast in one hand and kneading it. He lowers his head and sucks your nipple into his mouth. You laugh, watching milk slip past his lips but he just moans as he releases you. “Think your legs will hold you up if you flip over?”
“Only one way to find out.” You say, letting him slip out of you before you roll over and lift your ass in the air.
“Gorgeous,” Steve mumbles to himself before slapping your ass with a flat palm, gripping the fatty flesh with his fingers and shaking it. You let out a little yelp. Your ass fat giggles with the movement. He takes a moment to ogle your weeping core, running a finger through your folds. Your breathing is getting heavier again, needing more, your hole feels so empty without him. You push back on your knees, letting him know you're desperate with using words.
He slides his right hand up your spine, and pushes your front down lower to the mattress. He pushes into you again, slowly this time. And before he’s even all the way in he’s wrapping your hair around his fist and pulling. “This what you wanted? Hm? Wanted me to fuck you like a dirty little slut?” Once he’s buried deep he starts thrusting at a brutal pace.
You’re looking at him upside down from where he’s pulling your hair, tears streaming down your face. “Yes,” you whimper, breathing hard.
He slaps your ass again, harder this time. “Yes what?”
“Yes Daddy.” You cry out. He leans over your back and kisses you bruisingly hard. And you're glad that your child is still an infant because you know you’re going to be covered in bruises when you go home and that would not be fun to explain.
He drags his teeth down your shoulder and bites hard. You can’t help but clench around him at the sensation. He moans openly, diving back into your skin to suck a bruise just under his bite mark. “Gunna mark you up so everyone knows who you belong to.”
His possessiveness brings heat to your face, blushing hard at your husbands words. You’ve been married for years and everyone knows how in love you two are but it still feels so good to hear it. “Yours Stevie. Always. All yours.”
He slows down his brutal pace just a bit, you think he must be getting close. “Gunna fill you up. Fuck my cum into you until your round again. Put another baby in you.”
“Yes. No wait no. Yes.” You’re babbling back. Hoping this is just dirty talk because you’re not ready for another one yet.
He lets go of your hair, reaching under you to rub your still healing belly, “My sexy ass wife.” His hand slowly slips from your stomach to your clit where he starts rubbing in fast tight circles. “Never once stopped being sexy. Want you all the time.”
Oh yeah he’s definitely close. And thankfully so are you. “Are you close, baby? Gunna fill me up?”
“Yeah, yeah, want you to cum first though.” He says, leaning back and aiming his cock straight into your g-spot. It startles a scream out of you. “Is that the spot? Mm?”
You nod quickly. “Ahh- yes yes that’s it I’m so close baby right there fuck fuck fuck.” Your lower belly feels so warm as you feel your orgasm building. You feel so close but also like you’re about to piss yourself, but you don’t care because heck, Steve’s seen worse. You completely let go, losing yourself in the sensation. Your sweaty bodies are working together, wet slapping and sloshing sounds filling the room. You can’t stop the constant onslaught of moaning as he digs his fingernails into your hips, pulling you as hard as he can against him. And suddenly, you feel yourself gushing around him harder than you ever thought possible. A spray of your cum shooting so hard from your core it forces his cock out, soaking the bed and his lower torso.
“Holy shit, holy shit, did you just squirt?” Steve asks, shocked. He pushes back into you, pulling your torso up against his, trying to not slip out with all the your arousal slicking him up. “Fuck baby, that was so hot. That was so fucking hot” he moans in your ear as he comes deep inside your pussy. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I know I said I wouldn’t but fuck that was so hot I had to.”
“It’s okay,” you laugh. He pulls out of you and you turn to kiss him. Your kisses are long and languid. Full of love and awe. “Didn’t know I could do that.”
“Obviously. But now that I know I’m going to keep aiming for it.”
“You better. Felt so good. I’m so tired now though.”
He lays you gently on your back against the pillows. “Sure you’re not ready for another baby? I won’t force it if you’re not ready yet.”
“Doc said I shouldn’t for at least a few more months.. but I think.. if it happens then, it was meant to be. I’m not saying we should start trying again, but if it takes then it takes. I’ve heard it’s harder to get pregnant while breastfeeding so just, don’t get your hopes up okay?”
“Okay, that’s fair. All of it. I love you. I love you and I love our family so much.”
“I love you too baby.” He kisses your nose. “Six little nuggets right?”
“6 little nuggets.” He agrees.
They did in fact, get pregnant on this mini vacation. With twins. And in the end, they had 8 little nuggets.
Eddie, Stephanie, Samantha, Robbie, Dustin James, Fernando (yes, after the ABBA song, thanks Steve), Harper Joyce, and Henry… hahaha just kidding.
The last of the bunch was Christina. But they called her Chrissy. She was born on a Friday, with all the love of her family around her. Steve and y/n looked down at her full of the same amount of love and awe they shared at each and every birth. And as they looked into each others eyes, sitting close as they were at the birth of their first born, they agreed that they were done and their family was complete.
“You’re getting a vasectomy, right?”
Steve laughed, kissing your cheek gently, “Yeah, it’s scheduled for Tuesday.”
“That’s great news.” You whimpered, a tear dropping down your face.
“Yeah, it’s going to knock my breeding kink down a notch though.”
“Well, we’ll have a lot of fun pretending at least. You can just cum inside me as much as you want without consequence.”
Steve took a sharp inhale, “you’re right.” He slid off of the bed, tenderly taking Chrissy from your arms and laying her in the bassinet. “I’m just going to pop to the bathroom for a second.”
“Noo not fair. I know what you’re going to do in there. You do this every tiiime. You can’t turn us both on and expect me to not be jealous.”
“Sorry baby,” he smirked, kissing your cheek before heading towards the ensuite toilet. “Your parents said they’ll be here soon with Eddie and the twins so, just think about that.”
“What about Will and Mike? I thought they were going to introduce us to Amara today?”
“Well, Will said he didn’t want to take away from Chrissy. He said he’ll bring her over next week.”
“And what did Mike say?”
He runs a hand through his hair, other hand on his hip, “Mike said and I quote ‘We finally adopt a little girl after trying for 5 years and you’re saying you don’t want to make the birth of their eighth child less special?”
“Classic.” You laugh, “he is kind of right though, Chris won’t remember this, she doesn’t care. But I’m dying to meet their daughter.”
“I said the same thing but, it’s fine we’ll meet her next week. In the meantime I’m going to go take care of business.”
“Yeah yeah. Asshole. I love you.”
“I love you too, y/n.” He said as he closed the door.
Bonus side story
Taking place a few weeks after the mini vacay
Jonathan opens the door quickly, wide grin on his face as he takes your extra bags and sets them down on the entryway table. Eddie is sleeping in the car seat and you set him down gently on the floor next to the table.
“Good to see you as always Johnny boy.” You bring him in for a tight hug.
“You as well y/n.” He pats your back gently before pulling away. “Ready to develop some film?”
“You know it! I’ve got some hot pictures and I’ve been itching to see how they turned out. And some cute ones of course of my precious little angel baby.”
Jon rubs the back of his neck nervously, “Hopefully not too hot, don’t know if you’d want me in the room for those.”
“If they’re too hot I’ll send you out of the room, how about that?”
“I guess so” he chuckles.
“Not like you’ve never seen me naked before, remember that time when you, me, and Argyle went on the field trip to Malibu? We all got really high and Argyle dared us to skinny dip in the ocean and-“
“Yes yes shhh” he put his hand over your mouth “Nancy doesn’t know about that.” He whispers.
“Nothing even happened though,” you smirk, slapping his arm “well, not between you and me anyway.” You wink at him, turning on your heels to pick up the car seat and head up the stairs. “Have you heard from Argyle lately? I miss him.”
“Uh yeah, I heard from him a couple weeks ago. Said he finally finished the paper work for the franchise in West Covina… what do you mean nothing happened with us but… did something happen with you and Argyle?”
You stop just before the dark room door, placing Eddie just behind you. “Well, I mean yeah… you had just gotten back together with Nancy and I mean now you know I was kinda in love with you then so I don’t feel bad saying that well… I don’t know, Argyle was a little sad too about that. I mean not that.” You look down at your feet, sweat beading at your neck, “ANYWAY, yeah. After you went back to the hotel room we slept together, on the beach. Not slept but you know. We had sex.”
“Wow. I had no idea you had a one night stand with our college best friend.”
You cough into your hand, “Yeah. Yeah. It wasn’t quite a one night stand. That was the first time though.”
“Y/N…”
“What?? I was lonely and so was he and just kinda found some peace in each others bodies a few times. A lot of times. These words sound like deja vu but the experiences were totally different.”
“Wha.. how many…f-for how long?”
“Jon come on, it’s not a big deal. It was only like maybe 50 or so times in like the span of a month.”
He pinch’s the bridge of his nose, hand on his hip looking like a perfect mimicry of your husbands mom pose. “And you never thought to tell me?”
“Why would I? It wasn’t serious, we never got past regular friendship feelings and it didn’t last that long so, thought it was best to not bring it up.”
“Well, I mean okay. It’s just weird to me because of how much you talk about your sex life with Steve.”
“That’s different, Steve is the romantic love of my life. And I love Argyle but not like that. I’m not going to talk openly about a friends with benefits situation no matter how much it rocked my world.” You wink.
He lets out a deep sigh, “Alright, well. I now know too much about too many of my friends.”
“Oh come on I barely even said anything about Argyle. He was good though, really really good. You should’ve given him a chance.”
“What??”
Your eyes widen, “Nothing, let’s develop these nudes shall we?”
“Yeah.. yeah okay. Let me see if Nancy can watch Eddie for a bit.”
“She can and she will” Nancy says, coming out of their bedroom. She bends over Eddie’s care seat and unbuckles him, pulling him out and pressing him into her chest. “I always had a feeling Argyle had a crush on you.” She said as she turned back towards her bedroom.
“What??” Jon exclaimed looking at her back as she walked away.
“Man you really are oblivious.” You laugh, opening the darkroom door. “Or just really blinded by your love for Nance.”
“Yeah let’s go with that.”
“I think that’s beautiful, Jon. So blinded by love you don’t even notice anyone else’s interest.”
You can’t see it in the dark of the room but you know he’s blushing.
“Also, please don’t tell Argyle I accidentally hinted at his crush. Man, we are really bad at keeping secrets in this group.”
“Yes it would seem we are.” He agrees, beginning his developing process.
“I think I’m pregnant.”
You hear a clatter, like metal and paper and plastic falling to the ground along with a human like thud.
“Are you okay?? What happened?” You call out, arms reaching out in the dark.
“I’m okay,” he chokes. “Again?”

Hi! It's me again lol.
I can wanna show you my old concept idea backstory my lmk oc Ren if you remember her, my mind can't really decide whether I should bring it back or make a new one from scratch, or either combine them making something.. Something.
Old concept:
•Ren wasn't originally a shape-shifter demon, instead a created child of LBD, basically a puppet. Imagine Genshin impact where Ei creates sacaramouche. their species is the same as her mother.
•Ren has a negative relationship towards LBD, make sense because LBD is quite obsessed making the world perfect and as any means using your child like a weapon doesn't make their relationship look healthy at all.
•She wasn't supposed to be a girl but a boy. However they still go by the pronouns of he/They.
• Ren's original name is Xuefei but since I dont know any Chinese name and I am outright scared I might anger lietrally anyone here, so I scrapped it..
•Personality? I kinda base him as the opposite as Mk since his supposed to be the one will directly find a way to kill Mk. (Ho boy my old oc seems so brutal-)
•Speaking of Opposites, there's an confusing idea I did where Fei (That's I'll be calling him now. Aka the old Ren.) Is related to Mk, dunno what old me was thinking but I am recalling because LBD founded some strands of Mk and just did random magic and le behold my oc began existing.
•after Fei left from LBD cruel treatment towards him, I felt this is lazy so his backstory is inspired by Wanderer from genshin impact.. I have nothing to say other than I don't like this concept very much.. Well half of it.
Current Concept: (It's still in draft)
•I scraped everything about Ruifei and changed them entirely to what they are in present. Ren remains a villian but I guess chaotic neutral.
•Ren's personality is now based on Rocky from Lackadaisy and Double Trouble from She-ra. Trouble maker but less reckless unlike Rocky.. (*cough* I may not have too included Furina form GI, yk being flamboyant and overconfident-)
•Again Ren is a shape-shifter demon, with having ability to create illusions and mind controlling. Although they can't fully do mind controlling very much.
•Ren's used to be a human her former name was Genji Hua, she lives in a poor family and not so good village. Due to a plague happening she died and became a ghost/spirit wandering the world centuries.
•In short she wasn't able to go to celestial, and uh may have strike a deal with LBD wanting to be alive just so she could see her family again.
•I have another confusing concept where Ren aka Genji is LBD's puppet who ran away, eventually becoming a shape-shifter demon. And yes they have fully white hair in her true form hence why she activate a glamour.
•Yin and Jin does not know the whole preordeal of Ren between LBD only Ren's fear of coldness, I forgot to mention but their scared of coldness due to being trapped In LBD's prescene there stuck somewhere a room that's ridiculously cold, being stucked too with blue strings attached their bodies.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thats all you can comment a feedback what you think, take your time though for answering this.
Have a good day/Night ^^
first off, im really thankful that ur comfortable telling me this!
I say, since both of these concepts are pretty well made, to mix up certain ones together.
For example, keep that Ren/Genji made a deal with the LBD to be human again, but keep her still young so when her family dies, LBD becomes a mother figure and turns Ren into a weapon.
To put it in short: take the best parts you like of each concept, and put them together!
Guys, a little recap of this phil’s monologue?! Thanks😅 (I don’t have reddit)
i'm sorry, i literally can't recap this essay the man wrote. here it is lol
Arriving together and leaving separately was Deuxmoi's initial report, a submission from an anonymous source published on her IG.
In the podcast, of course, Deuxmoi leaves out the "leaving separately" part, because her modus operandi is to publish completely unverified and anonymous rumors, spin everything in the most sensationalist way possible and see if she can start a feedback loop in the social media echo chamber. She thinks she's covering herself legally by posting regular disclaimers that nothing is verified, that a lot of the information on her site is outright fiction (some of it malicious plants), that she doesn't stand behind anything on her site, and that it's all "just for fun" -- whereupon she then publishes the most sensational gossip she can come up with, some of it potentially quite damaging to her targets.
Sooner or later, she's going to get sued and shut down. Before that happens, she really ought to clean up her act. She shouldn't publish anything for which the source is not willing to go on the record. Short of that, she should at least pick up the phone, run a story past the people involved, and publish the response with her original story. But she almost never does that. She's totally irresponsible and toxic. She does real harm to people who don't deserve it. Anyhow:
I do have an interest in movies and had an eye on the SAG nominations. Evan and Haley were both at the SAG Awards dinner. They were both nominees and did the red carpet thing for that. If you glance at the SAG Awards on various social media, Evan has a small number of other photos and short videos at the main event with other people, but none with Haley. I.e., he was a typical guest, a very pleasant seeming guy and a nominee who didn't win.
Haley's footprint is much bigger. In addition to being a nominee, she was a winner as part of The White Lotus ensemble cast, so she got to take home a statue. Back to the red carpet and numerous photos and video interviews for that. (None with Evan.) In addition, she was a presenter: more photos. (None with Evan.)
Bookending all of that, she had also been named a "SAG Ambassador," which means she was part of the official meet and greet team. She got there early and was glued to the red carpet area even when she wasn't on it, as well as doing behind the scenes stuff. She was doing her job, working the crowd instead of mostly hanging with her own friends, and is all over the SAG Awards social media. (Most frequently asked question: what can she tell us about the making of the Jonas Brothers music video, which was shot at a JB concert in Las Vegas two weeks ago and produced and released in less than a week. That's a cute and funny story, and it has legs. Next most frequently asked question: probably what can you tell us about season 3 of The White Lotus, and do you want to be in it?)
There are only a couple of photos with Evan and Haley together (at least that I've seen) -- but only at the afterparty, not the main event, and not at all suggestive of anything beyond casual conversation.
I wasn't there so I don't know, but I have been involved on the planning and staffing side of more events than I want to remember. (Not Hollywood or other entertainment industry events; think business and politics, but big events.) It would be very typical at an event like this for HBO, which sponsored one of the afterparties, to run a small shuttle bus from the main event venue to the afterparty venue, which in this case was 3-4 miles away. This is a good idea if alcohol is being served. It's also a good idea if you are hoping to get a lot of people at your afterparty. A lot of people will just want to go home after the dinner. Or just go down to the hotel bar with a couple of friends. Transportation and/or parking at the afterparty will be an issue, and you will lose a lot of the crowd if you don't provide a shuttle. So for all we know -- and more importantly, for all Deuxmoi knows -- Evan and Haley "arriving together" means arriving on the same shuttle bus with ten other people. Or maybe they got to talking at the main event, were enjoying themselves, and shared a cab to the afterparty. In DeuxmoiWorld, this would be "hooking up."
Did Haley and Evan hang out enough at the afterparty to catch the eyes of the gossips? Well, they're both adults, they're both single, they're both entitled to a private life, and if they hit it off at a large event and afterparty and enjoyed each other's company, that's fine. Did they know each other before the SAG Awards? I have no idea; I've never seen them linked. Did they enjoy each other's company at the SAG Awards and the afterparty? Apparently, and that's fine. And then, per Deuxmoi's initial report, they left separately.
Deuxmoi will try to fan this into something big, but be aware that, at least at this point, she has absolutely nothing to report except that two people were seen in friendly conversation at a crowded event (again, the afterparty) attended by many other people. In Deuxmoi lingo, that's "hooking up."
[on edit: oops, me bad. I originally was saying "Ethan" rather than "Evan." Too much White Lotus on my mind. Corrected now.]
alright, I think I read everything you've written in the dcwyb-verse (except for the 'meeting dad' fic which I'm saving to read when it's done)
please allow me to scream some more at you?
you're a story-telling mastermind. all the bits of background that you'd woven into the fic and all the complicated backstories, all the thoughts, all the feelings. like.. how? what is your secret how does your brain come up with so much good stuff that is making me super jealous? :D
I can go on and on about your fic. I've been living breathing sleeping your fic for days and I just wished I could open a door and walk into it and live in it. already thinking about rereading. I'm just crazy about it.
and now that we're past the screaming (sorry) a few things:
John: I LOVE your portrayal of him. he is very very close to canon John and the way Dean sees him is so well-done and so canon. I'm so looking forward to the reunion and how he will see and deal with Cas and all that - but no pressure *cough*
Sam: I loved it when he appeared. I loved it when he came over to talk to Dean. I loved every single time he showed up and everything he did for Dean while dealing with his own trauma. I love how I still can't tell for sure if he killed Alistair or not, how you did it was sooo good. because we know Sam can get very dangerous when Dean is hurt (mystery spot) but also he is a good guy but also he has hurt some rather innocent people for Dean. Dean and I are not sure if he's really done it or not :|
Dean's trauma: when I first started reading I was like... nah no way Dean gets this broken ever. but after like two three chapters I was like OF COURSE OF COURSE HE WOULD. 20 years of abuse and conditioning and a street smart guy like Dean will find a way to survive. of course he would. it is just so well done. the way he takes one step forward and two steps back and then the complete breakdown he has at the diner when he thinks Alistair's back, it was just fantastically written. I'm just in awe
Cas' backstory: the way you built it all together was just awesome. it came together really well. He is just so Cas, eager to do whatever he can but also approaching everything in his own way with occasional fuck-ups, so very very Cas, I love him <33 I was wondering if by any chance you might write a coda with "Cas receives the communication that he's been chosen to take an omega"? no pressure or anything just something I'd really love to read. I have many thoughts about it, I might as well like write them all down and make a meta post for your fic :))))
gosh I think I've rambled on enough. sorry this went on for so longggg! believe it or not I have much more to say but I think I should really stop before you block me :))))
thank you again for this fantastic work and I'm so glad someone rec'ed it on twitter and I opened and started reading without realising how many words it was at first. you're a gem!
sorry?? you're sorry?!?! you made my fucking day 😭 ur crazy to think this wouldn't be one of the absolute best messages I received 💗💗💗 I got more feedback than I could've ever dreamed of but everytime I get a long message like this that actually tells me what you liked in detail i am on cloud fuckin 10. this means so much to me I've been thinking about it all day and it instantly makes me want to sit down and write 💙💗💙💗💙💗
ok now I'm so glad you liked my portrayal of both Sam and John. Sam got a lot of hate so it's awesome to hear you felt empathetic towards him. and John! he's one of my fave characters bc of how complicated he is. I'm so glad I managed to pull off the ambiguity of Sam's involvement in alastairs death. I feel like it's key that it's ambiguous, though ofc I have my own opinion on what happened lol. dude one of the things I'm most happy about is that you felt that both cas and dean were true to their show selves despite the AU and dean being so broken down. I was dead set on writing Dean's experiences and recovery as realistic (minus the time frame maybe lmao it happens so fast) but I'm glad his 'weakness' didn't make him too ooc. writing this fic has been a delight and you're making me wanna reread it bc I forgot a lot already jfjdjd. and sure I'll keep it in mind, the cas pov of getting dean. a friend wanted to read that too so it's been sth I've been thinking about before. and i would totally lose my shit if you made a meta post 🥰 just saying.
thanks again this mssg made me so happy. I'm so fuckin glad you liked the story so much. thanks for taking the time to tell me about it 🫡🙈💞💕💖💗
honey, no callsigns was amazing! i’m a sucker for a good angst, and you definitely broke my heart and then put it back to together in this one. addie being super protective of jake all the time? brilliant. the hint at the no callsign rule? groundbreaking. the fact that addie only meets friends jake is willing to die for, which is also a reference to her meeting rooster and the dagger squad in the future? just *chef’s kiss*. he was so excited to see her, and you know that i’m a whore for a man who’s whipped for their partner. reading this story in your words is always a pleasure! i also love they way you built addie’s relationship with his sisters and his mom. debbie was so sweet to her and you just know that even if their feelings are not a verbal conversation, it’s like they all came to the agreement that what they both need is each other. debbie just knew jake needed her by his side, and i think that’s beautiful. getting to see the beginning of his and javy’s friendship was also really nice, and i feel like javy will now be also protective of jake as well. he saw the crack in his facade and i’m sure he’ll pick on more stuff as time goes on. thank you so much for writing it, dear! <3
natrace
Yes! Thank you to the anon who sent in that request. And I am working on your requests too natrace! Pinky promise! Also, everyone else requests are open for Jake and Addie or just in general.
Tumblr media
You are objectively too nice to me! This is so sweet! Thank you! Every single story you leave me nice thoughtful feedback, and I cannot thank you enough. It really means so much for authors to get feedback like this you’re a gem!
The “we don’t use callsigns in this house” policy that the Seresin’s had was always because of something like this in my head. I just never wrote down how it played out. I really think she and Coyote met while Jake was in training and hit it off and would’ve been friends, but nothing ever came out of it because of the distance. And Jake who knows Addie SO well would also know that they could and should be friends and that’s all he thinks about when he hears Coyote in trouble.
Jake in the movie apparently has a medal for valor I don’t know anything about navy medals. I just know what people say in the analysis of them, and I’m imagining this is when he got it, doing something insanely heroic the day he almost died for Coyote, the same day he and Coyote become best friends, and the same day Addie outlaws callsigns.
As for Debbie, I think it’s safe to say that she never actually verbally communicated with Addie that Addie was the one staying the night. I think Debbie just knew that Addie was going to stay in Jakes room or sleep in the waiting room if they didn’t let her stay or if Debbie wanted to be the one to stay. And Debbie knows her son well enough to know he’s in love with Addie and to know that much as Debbie loves him and much as he’s a mamas boy, Addie is the love of his life and his soulmate and really his wife in all but name. And Debbie knows Addie is the one he wants to stay so she just got everything in order and made Jake sign off which he would’ve done willingly when he heard Addie was waiting outside to come in.
Yeaaaaaah I have plans for Javy and Addie (the whole squad and Addie really) at the wedding if I ever end up writing that. But suffice to say that Javy knew the whole time where the crack in Jakes armor was. (He knew Addie wasn’t a plane lol).
Inseparable - Slight Yandere!Haechan X Reader
Tumblr media
Slight Yandere!AU
Genre: Horror, Angst, Mature
Pairing: Donghyuck X Reader
Words: 4,763
Warnings: I switch between Haechan and Donghyuck too often in this scenario lol. Also, based loosely on a dream I had so some parts may not make sense, whoops. This is a Yandere story, it will contain themes such as stalking, violence, obsession, possessive natures, and just general overall creepiness and swearing. You have been warned.
A/n: This is dedicated to a close friend of mine who actually appeared in this dream of mine as the OC!! Hehehe, so I wrote this with her in mind. You'll probably be able to tell which character is based off of me when you read, too. Also, for those wondering why I label this 'slight' yandere even though it is full on yandere: it's because it's not as long as my usual yandere fics, so since it doesn't have the same plot development, I call it 'slight' lol. I do not believe Haechan would ever act like this, this is just my interpretation of the archetype. Anyways, I do hope you enjoy this little fic! As always, feedback is greatly appreciated!!
There will not be a part two to this.
There’s something off about Haechan.
Normally, Donghyuck is a pretty outgoing guy: loud, borderline obnoxious, and always (well, maybe not always) whining for your attention. Only, he’s been quiet lately. Too quiet.
And you’re not the only one who’s noticed.
This trip was supposed to be fun, a chance for you and a few of your friends to get away for a few weeks and just relax. Forgetting about your stresses called life was going to be easy, or at least, that’s what you had all thought. It was, for a time, but everything changed in the blink of an eye.
Really, you had seen this coming, as had Jeno and Chaesun, both of whom noticed Donghyuck’s odd behaviour towards you lately. Of course, you wouldn’t really consider you and Haechan to be close friends, not like Chaesun and Jeno are, but you’d still consider him someone whom you could easily hang out with and talk to.
In fact, this trip was originally meant to be just you and Chaesun, but somehow both Jeno and Haechan tagged along with you two. Now, you’re starting to think it was Donghyuck’s idea, especially with how he’s been acting.
Autumn is beautiful in the midwest this time of year, and there’s a special harvest festival happening in the area you chose to stay in. Seeing as this event only takes place once a year, you decided it would be a great activity for the four of you to partake in, even if where you really want to go is about a fifteen hour drive away by car. Perhaps next time you’ll be able to go.
When you had first suggested the festival, Haechan had been a little too eager to agree. Honestly, it was the first time on this trip you had seen him look enthusiastic about something, shocking all three of you.
For someone who had been so adamant to tag along, he sure wasn’t acting like he was having a good time. At least, that’s what you had overheard Jeno telling Chaesun.
Of course Haechan would want to go with you, he’d follow you anywhere. Hopefully, he’d even get some alone time with you and actually do what he came here to do.
When he had first heard you mention this trip, the four of you had all been hanging out at Jeno’s place. Seeing as how both him and Chaesun are really close, he had invited the both of you over since he wanted to get to know her best friend better. Haechan, being Jeno’s best friend, practically invited himself over after learning you were going to be at Jeno’s place.
If Haechan’s being honest with himself, he’s never really liked Chaesun. Ever since he realized that you’re perfect for him, and that the two of you are meant to be together, he’s hated her guts. She takes your attention away from him, and he can’t stand how close the two of you are.
That should be him.
Soon, it became a regular thing for the four of you to hang out together, since wherever Jeno went, Haechan was sure to follow since he knew you would always be around Chaesun. It was a win-lose situation for him, though, but seeing you always makes up for being in Chaesun’s presence.
At least he didn’t have to worry about Jeno taking you away from him and all that crap. Which is exactly why he intends to keep it that way.
The next time you had mentioned the trip, you had all been at your shared apartment with Chaesun. Jeno had been sitting on one of the side chairs while both you and Chaesun shared the one end of the couch.
Haechan nearly had a conniption when he walked in with Jeno to see you leaning against Chaesun’s side reading a book. It bothered him even more when you barely spared him a glance when he came in and sat on your opposite side, too enraptured in your book to greet him properly.
For a brief second, his lips had tightened into a thin line before he was able to plaster on a fake smile and greet the two of you. Obviously, his greeting to you was a lot more warmer that his not so friendly greeting towards Chaesun, but no one seemed to notice. Well, except for her.
Haechan had been smooth, angling himself towards you with his arm rested on the back of the couch. Having his legs stretched out in front of him, he could easily lean back and observe the room, keeping an eye on you the whole time while remaining inconspicuous. Every expression you make while reading, every small furrow of your brows, has him captivated; he could watch you for hours.
Which is what he practically does every time you’re in the same room together, only, he makes sure to remain subtle. Last thing he wants to do is creep you out from staring for too long.
It had happened so naturally. Chaesun had to get up to use the bathroom, so you had reluctantly sat up, letting out a small grunt in the process due to your slight annoyance at having to move. Except, what Haechan wasn’t expecting for you to do was spin around slightly and begin to lean the opposite way on the couch now. Which meant you were doing exactly what he had originally wanted.
As soon as your back had hit him, you had jumped slightly. Only, your momentum prevented you from recoiling from him fast enough to sit back up, giving him ample time to slide his arm from the back of the couch and onto your shoulder, wrapping his arm around you and holding you securely to him.
Finally, you had put your book down for the moment and paused your reading.
“Sorry if I startled you,” you say, squirming slightly at the position you now find yourself in, catching Jeno’s mildly amused gaze from across the room. “I forgot you were there.”
“No worries,” Haechan chuckles, hoping you cannot feel the way his heart is absolutely pounding in his chest. “I don’t mind at all.”
“Good,” you stop moving, settling into his side comfortably, almost like you’re made for each other, “cause I wasn’t planning on moving anytime soon.”
Donghyuck wouldn’t have let you, anyways, but he’s just glad you stayed of your own choice. He smirks. He’s making progress with you, and soon, you’ll be inseparable.
As soon as Chaesun had come back into the room, you had closed your book, reaching over to slide it onto the coffee table beside you. The best thing, though? You immediately settled back into Haechan’s side afterwards.
Oh, how smug Haechan felt at seeing the questioning look Chaesun had sent you at your new position on the couch. Finally, he felt like he had something over your best friend. You.
Sitting back down on the couch, you and Chaesun had begun talking about your upcoming trip, what you had planned and what you still needed to do in preparation for it. Luckily, the two of you didn’t seem to notice Haechan’s sudden interest in all the little details as he, along with Jeno, asked you both some questions about the trip. He’s just glad Jeno’s own curiosity was seemingly able to cover up his not so pure intentions behind his own questioning.
It was Haechan that had suggested the idea of them tagging along with you to Jeno after they had left that afternoon, practically begging him to ask if the guys could go with you. Not that Jeno needed much convincing, anyways.
“It’ll be fun!” Donghyuck had said. “A good way to bond with them, if you know what I mean.”
Of course the other knew all about their own crush on each of the respective friends, being supportive in any and every way they could. If only Jeno realized then and there just how deep Haechan’s obsession went for you.
Two weeks later and the two boys were all set to tag along on your little adventure, much to your surprise. Even after talking it out with Chaesun, you were still a little shocked to learn that both Jeno and Haechan wanted to come along, considering she’s told you Jeno doesn’t really like the midwest all that much. All that dry air, or something like that. Either way, having the two guys come meant splitting most of your costs in half for food and the rentals, so you weren’t going to complain.
You don’t know how it happened, but you managed to be sitting next to Haechan for the entire flight there instead of with Chaesun. Funny, you could have sworn you bought the tickets for your seats right next to each other so that the two boys could also sit together. Perhaps she just wanted to sit next to Jeno, but the least she could have done is tell you. Or asked.
The whole flight, Haechan had talked your ear off, much to your distress. All you wanted to do with your twelve hours stuck on the plane was read, maybe listen to some music, and then nap for the majority of it, but you couldn’t. No, you’re too nice to ignore the way Donghyuck is passionately talking about his favourite video games, or ignore the way he asks about your favourite books in return. He’s really not that bad of a guy, once you get to know him, and he’s managed to make you laugh a few times, so maybe you should just let him ramble and them catch some ‘you’ time once you make it to the rental house. You’re sure you’ll have plenty of time to do the things you’ve planned to do once you’re there.
Well, you had been half right.
Between Chaesun pulling you out of the house for a few ‘best friends only’ outings, and Haechan seemingly always wanting to be near you, you could barely find a moment to yourself. Having to share a room with your best friend didn’t help, either, for every time you wanted to hide away in the secluded recluse of the bedroom, she’d pull you back out again to hang out with her or with the two guys. Luckily, you managed to score a few peaceful moments to yourself for a few days near the beginning of the second week there.
On the other hand, Haechan was beyond frustrated. Every time he wanted to plan something with you, Chaesun would beat him to it. That, or the four of you would all go out together.
So badly did he want to have some alone time with you, that Donghyuck could feel himself going crazy. Of fucking course Chaesun would be getting in his way, stealing all of your attention away from him when that’s all he wants most. Then, the few times that her and Jeno went out on their own, when he finally had the house to himself with you, you wanted space.
Reluctantly, he gave it to you, but every time you retreated into yourself, it felt like you pushing him away. Haechan thrives off of attention, and when he’s not getting yours, he feels like he might just die.
No matter, the two of you will be together soon enough. Then, you’ll be inseparable.
So he got quiet. Maybe this way, you’ll realize what your missing when his attention isn’t fully on you. You’ll be running into his arms soon enough, he’s sure of it. Besides, he needs to plan for the festival anyways. What better time to make his move than when both Jeno and Chaesun will be distracted the whole day?
Preparing for this day took a lot out of him, especially the not talking to you part, though his jealousy helped with that. If you could be so comfortable around Chaesun, then you obviously could be that comfortable around him. You just needed time.
The day of the festival, both Jeno and Haechan decided to surprise you both by renting two motorcycles. The weather was just warm enough for a final ride in the autumn air, and what better way to be close to each other than you gripping onto his back as he shows you just how badass he can be. Besides, he’s never lost a girl he was trying to charm as soon as he brought out a motorbike. Even if the idea originally took Jeno some convincing, he eventually agreed to it, and so the four of you were off, making your way towards the festival with the wind nipping at your skin.
When you all arrived, you managed to park a little ways down the road in an empty cornfield which had been plowed for the occasion, a corn maze in the process of being made sitting off to your right. There weren’t many cars in this makeshift parking lot, and you didn’t have to pay for a spot, so you considered yourselves lucky.
Hopping off the back of his bike, Haechan nearly lets out a huff of annoyance at no longer feeling your touch on him. Oh, how he revelled in the fact that every time he sped up a little bit you seemingly clung tighter onto his back, only making him more excited for what is to come. You’ll be his, soon enough.
Walking around the place for a bit, the four of you explore some of the stands, grabbing some food and simply enjoying your time out in the countryside. There’s lots of different little activities for you to do, so by the late afternoon, you’ve pretty much seen all there is at the festival. Except, there’s a few things that both you and Chaesun still want to do, but each stall is at the opposite end of the festival.
“How about this?” Jeno suggests. “We can always split up and then meet back here in an hour or something. Just in time for the fireworks.”
“What a great idea!” Haechan’s entire face lights up, eager to finally get you alone after such a long day. Leave it to Jeno to unknowingly set his plan in motion.
“Sure,” you agree with a nod, and Donghyuck’s heart warms. Do you want to be alone with him as badly as he does with you? “Whoever gets back to this area first rents the picnic blanket and buys the snacks.”
“Sounds good.” Chaesun nods, and with one final wave to each other, you’re all heading off in different directions, Jeno following close behind her while Haechan is not too far behind you.
Surprisingly, he remains silent as he walks beside you, the sun slowly creeping downwards in the sky as you make your way to that little stand you saw all those antique books at when you first entered the grounds. If you remember correctly, there’s a little barn not too far away, too.
Making it to the little stall, you greet the kind old woman sitting behind it, carts of books scattered all around for you to peruse at your own leisure. Haechan makes sure to stay close by you the whole time, fiddling with the keys to the motorbike in his pocket the whole time.
To say he’s anxious would be an understatement. There’s no guarantee his plan will work, or that you’ll even agree to come along with him. He just hopes his failsafe comes through. After all, he’s doing this for you.
Thirty minutes later and you’ve just finished purchasing two books from the kind lady who’s managed to chat your ear off about classic literature for the last twenty minutes or so. How unaware she is of the glare Donghyuck sends her way as he leads you away from the stall with a hand placed on the small of your back. The fact that you even let him do this warms his heart. He’s making even more progress with you than he thought, and maybe, he could suggest you reading while leaning against his chest again. Besides, he wouldn’t mind that at all, especially if it meant getting to wrap you in his arms and getting to place kisses along your neck the whole time.
“Haechan, where are you leading me?” Your voice manages to just pull him out of his thoughts as he realizes the direction you’re heading in.
“Oh, I wanted to show you something cool I saw earlier when we first got here.” He replies, seemingly nonchalant despite the way his fingers tense against your lower back.
You notice.
Furrowing your brow slightly, you see the small barn getting closer with each step you take. From the looks of things, the place looks abandoned, run down even. “Is everything okay?”
“Of course,” a singular nod as he spares you a glance form the corner of his eyes. “Why wouldn’t it be?”
Pursing your lips slightly, you shrug, “I don’t know, you’ve just seemed off lately.”
“Have I?” He hums.
So you have noticed his change in behaviour. Leave it to you to be this observant of him. He knew you cared.
Your only response is to quirk a brow at him as he leads you inside the old barn. The only light you’re offered is the last golden rays of the setting sun, casting a warm, yet eerie glow through the spaces between the wooden boards of the barn.
He slides the door shut, the sound echoing around the place as your brow furrows even more.
“Finally, we’re alone.” It almost sounds as if he breathes a sigh of relief.
“Haechan, what’s the meaning of this?” You clutch your two books tighter to your chest.
“You know, I didn’t realize how impossible it would be to separate the two of you.” he begins. “You and I aren’t going back to them though. You’re coming with me, whether you like it or not. I’m sick and tired of waiting. I want you, and I’m going to have you. So, we’re getting out of here. Tonight.”
“Excuse me?” Your mouth practically falls open. “Look, I don’t know what’s gotten into you, but I’m not going anywhere with you. You’re freaking me out.”
Unfortunately for you, he’s blocking the only exit in or out of this place, and at the shaking of his head, you know he’s not moving any time soon.
“That’s what you’re not understanding,” he chuckles, “you’re not going anywhere without me.”
“Donghyuck, this is ridiculous,” you let out a huff. “Just let me through.”
He shakes his head, hand still fiddling with the keys in his pocket. “Not until you agree to come with me.”
You pause. “And if I don’t.”
“You won’t like the answer.”
“I think I’ll take my chances,” you go to brush past him, shooting him a pointed look, “thanks.”
Only, before you can take a single step to open the door, Donghyuck has spun you both around, causing you to drop your books as he suddenly presses a small blade to your throat. Your eyes go wide at the crazed look he now gives you.
“No.” His voice is firm. “You’re not leaving me, and that’s final.”
“Donghyuck-“
“You’re coming with me, whether you like it or not.” He continues, cutting you off as he presses closer into you against the side of the barn, his one hand coming up to cover your mouth. “Don’t even try to scream, just follow my commands, and we’ll both be happy. Okay?”
You nod, your heart racing in your chest as you wait for the opportune moment to escape.
Slowly, he removes his hand from your mouth once he’s sure you won’t scream.
“I’ve wanted you for a long time now,” he sighs, free hand caressing the side of your face. “You seriously don’t know how long I’ve waited for this moment.”
“Where are we going to go now?” Choosing your words carefully, you might as well play along to whatever game he’s started for the moment. Better to lure him into a false sense of security than get yourself killed.
“Well, a little birdie told me you wanted to drive to someplace fifteen hours away from here.” He smirks. “Finally, our first trip as a couple without any annoying disturbances in our way.”
“You’re planning to drive all night? On a bike?” Your fake concern is enough to convince him.
“Don’t worry baby, I planned ahead.” Grinning, he takes a step away from you, convinced you’re going to come willingly with him.
Oh, how wrong he is.
The first chance you get, you’re kicking the knife out of his hand, managing to catch him off guard. Quickly, you land a punch to his gut, grateful for all those kick boxing classes you take on the weekends. In thirty seconds, Donghyuck is on his back, nothing but the cold, hard ground offering him comfort as the heel of your foot digs into his gut in order to pin him down as you reach into his jacket’s pocket to pull out his keys.
“You fucking psycho, of course I’m not going anywhere with you!” You hiss, giving his stomach another good stomp to keep him down.
Turning as quickly as you can, you push open the door to the barn, sprinting out in the next second. You need to find Jeno and Chaesun, and fast.
Sure enough, you find them sitting together on a picnic blanket already surrounded by snacks as they wait for both you and Donghyuck to show up to watch the fireworks. You manage to gather some strange looks as you run up to them, stopping just short of the edge of the blanket as you hunch over, hands on your knees as you attempt to catch your breath.
“Oh my god, what happened?” Immediately, Chaesun is on her feet, worry creasing her brow as she looks you over.
“It’s Donghyuck,” you manage to get out between breaths. “He’s gone crazy.”
At this, Jeno stands to his feet, “did he hurt you?”
“Not yet,” you shake your head, “but he tried.”
“Let’s get you out of here,” Chaesun is already leading you back to the field where you parked the motorbikes, Jeno following close behind.
“What happened?” Jeno makes sure to stand on your opposite side, keeping you in between both him and Chaesun for your protection.
Quickly, you explain to them everything that’s happened since the time you parted ways. As soon as you’re done, they both share a look, the field just in view.
“I knew he’d been acting strange lately,” Jeno frowns, scanning the area to see if Haechan had already made it back. “I still see his bike, so I don’t think he’s here.”
“It’s not like he could go anywhere even if he tried,” you laugh breathlessly, pulling out his keys to show the both of them.
“Damn,” Chaesun grins, “look at you! Badass!”
The two of you share a smug look at each other as a wind blows over the field, sending the remaining stalks of corn swaying in the first rays of the moon. A moment passes by before you see the first signs of the fireworks display starting, the loud booms resounding in your ears in the next moment.
“We should be careful, it’s getting harder to see,” Jeno says above the noise.
“Yeah, he could have already made it back here and could be hiding in the maze.” Chaesun nods as there’s a break in the fireworks, her own eyes scanning the stalks for any sign of movement that’s not from the wind.
“You’d be right about that.” Crunching can be heard from the corner of the field as Haechan steps out from the maze, eyes trained directly on the three of you. “Now, give her back to me and we’ll all be on our merry way.”
Cautiously, Chaesun pushes you behind her, standing in front of you protectively as more colours light up the night sky.
Haechan scowls, “you’ve always been a pain in my ass.”
“What else is new?” She scoffs, motioning for Jeno to make his way over to his bike so that he can make a quick escape with you following closely behind.
Slowly, Donghyuck begins stalking towards you, closing the gap little by little. That is, until he breaks out into a sprint, lunging at Chaesun since she’s the closest.
“You won’t keep me away from her anymore!” He hisses, pulling out his knife once more and pushing it towards her throat.
You gasp as he manages to nick the side of her face just as she manages to throw him off of her. Only, before she can stand back up, he grabs her by the hair, pulling her head back so he can place the blade at her neck.
Jeno, who had been prioritizing leading you to the bikes which now stand mere feet away from you, freezes. He meets Chaesun’s gaze, and you know she’s telling him to prioritize saving you first, and not her. Normally, you wouldn’t worry about her handling herself since you both take the same kickboxing classes, but it’s a lot different when you’re forced to your knees with a blade pressed against your throat from an attacker behind you.
Haechan smirks. He’s got them.
“You,” he motions to Jeno with his head, “back away from my bike slowly unless you want this one-“ he tightens his grip in Chaesun’s hair, causing her to wince, “to get a slit throat.” Immediately, Jeno does exactly what he’s told. “And you, baby,” you nearly cringe at the term of endearment he calls you, “get on my bike, start the engine and walk it over to me.”
Hesitating for only a moment, you meet Chaesun’s eyes. You’d know that look anywhere. The look that tells you that she has a plan, and to trust whatever that is about to happen. So, you do exactly as Donghyuck says, making sure to walk over to him extra slowly once you’ve started the engine.
Pulling up just beside him, you watch as he stands both himself and Chaesun up, quickly shoving her away as he swings onto the back of the bike behind you. With his arms encasing you, you have nowhere to run, him caging you in one either side.
However, what he doesn’t expect is for Chaesun to pop up right in front of the both of you before he can kick off and leave. In an instant, you make eye contact with her, and you turn the ignition off, pulling the key out as she grips Donghyuck’s wrists. Immediately, you flatten yourself to the bike as much as you can while maintaining your balance, sliding out from under Donghyuck’s right arm once you feel Chaesun lift it ever so slightly.
Hitting the ground and managing to drop the keys in your hands, you hear Jeno’s own bike slide up beside you as both Haechan and Chaesun go crashing to the ground in the opposite direction.
Again, you hesitate, looking back to see Chaesun wrestling with Donghyuck in the dirt, him trying to get to you before you even so much as get on the bike with Jeno.
Seeing your hesitance, Chaesun meets your gaze, “go with Jeno!”
Not having to be told twice, you slide onto the back of Jeno’s bike, wrapping your arms around him as he kick off from the ground, riding off into the night.
Sparing one final glance back over your shoulder, you just manage to see Chaesun holding off Donghyuck by pinning him to the ground, hearing him let out a feral cry as you disappear from his sight.
Stopping only momentarily once you’re about seven minutes down the road, Jeno finally hands you a helmet that he’d kept dangling from his wrist this whole time. Thanking him softly, your slip it on, finally able to catch your breath after the events of this evening.
“I hope Chaesun is alright,” you murmur, hearing the click of the buckle snap into place as you settle behind Jeno once more.
“I’m sure she will be,” you hear Jeno mutter, kicking back off the road and continuing on your way once more.
You tilt your head back, looking up at the night sky, the stars twinkling aimlessly as the moon glows above. You sigh, finally allowing your shoulders to relax.
For the moment, you’re safe. “What a crazy day.”
“Yeah,” Jeno hums. “Crazy.”
Little do you know of the smirk that begins to tug at the corner of his lips.
I was reading through your tags and you mentioned at some point the kazuscara roommates finding your onlyfans and I think I completely combusted—thus i present to you my brain rot of late: you attend the same school as them but you’re not actually friends, all you know about kazuha is that he’s the friendly regular at the cafe you work at, who makes polite conversation every now and then but otherwise is nothing of note. In reality he’s been stalking you for weeks ever since your first encounter, and is dead set on the idea that you’re this innocent, weak thing that needs to be protected (maybe he stepped in when you had a bad customer and your meek reply helped fester his delusions?). Scara, on the other hand, is only aware of your presence since you’re his favourite cam model that he recently found. (Since he’s a harbinger he’s probs loaded) Weeks of funnelling money towards you cause him to feel this unwarranted possessiveness, believing that since he’s been providing so much in your “relationship” that it’s time you reward him in turn. However, despite the unbridled interest they have toward you neither are aware of each other’s feelings for you— that is, until you happen to run into the both of them heading to your class. While both are known for maintaining their stoic masks, they’re friends for a reason— and instantly can tell the attraction their roommates have towards their own “lover”. After kazuha finds your onlyfans he’s certain that you’ve been coerced and wants to save you, while scara thinks it’s time that he’s stopped letting other plebeians look at his possession—so, despite their initial reservations, come together to form the ideal plan. When you find yourself waking up groggy in a room you don’t recognize, all they can do is look on with glee whilst planning their next course of action with their new belonging. They’re friends after all, and good friends share though, don’t they?
This is v long srry lol you can ignore this ofc!!
AAAH, ANON!! YES!!! <3 I couldn’t resist writing more on this concept. orz They make for such a terrifying pair when they work together!
(cw: yandere, stalking, nsfw, implied kidnapping/drugging, unhealthy behaviors/relationship, delusional thoughts, savior complex, implied violence)
What if Kazuha and Scara were just acquainted with one another and actually became closer through their mutual obsession with you? Yes, they’re roommates and ought to get along because they’re living together but they haven’t exactly clicked yet. They talk every now and then and know little things about each other. Nothing too special. They don’t really hang out outside of their dorm either, what with their class schedules being vastly different. And Kazuha’s always out of the dorm doing who-knows-what. Most of his time is spent at a café, where he’ll write and read and stare at you while you work. On the other hand, Scara prefers to stay inside if he doesn’t have a good reason to go out. He likes his alone time. Although he has enjoyed going to the library every now and then to study.
So maybe they need to find some common ground. Maybe they need a push in the right direction before they get closer.
Kazuha likes to stare. Talking to you is great, but he worries he’ll say too much and then he’ll be a nuisance, or you might not want to talk to him at all since you’re working. But you always regard him with a warm smile, happy to scribble his name on the plastic cup because you remember him. Because you recognize his familiar face and soft, gentle eyes. He’s the one who saved you from that rude customer, after all, and he’s a polite regular. Why wouldn’t you know him? You might look like you can handle those types of situations, but what Kazuha saw that day was something entirely different. You were nervous—so soft-spoken and scared. He absolutely has to protect you from those kinds of people now, doesn’t he?
And he does exactly that. He’s your second pair of eyes—your valiant knight in shining armor—who sees and hears all. Sometimes he goes to the café with the intention to simply watch over you and make sure no one’s bothering you. He can recall one time when a customer was speaking rudely about you because her drink hadn’t been prepared in a ‘timely manner.’ In reality it’s impossible to make a drink within a few seconds, especially when you’re already preoccupied with making another customer’s drink. She must’ve woken up on the wrong side of the bed, or maybe she’s just a hateful person in general. You didn’t deserve to be on the receiving end of such fiery insults, though.
Her eyes just can’t see your perfection and therefore she does not deserve to see out of them.
Kazuha’s willing to wrestle with all of this darkness if it means you’ll stay safe, oblivious, and pure. You’re like a defenseless kitten, unable to protect yourself from the scary world. He writes about you a lot in his journal; you’re his muse—someone who constantly shows up in poems and short paragraphs where he tries to describe what your dream date might be or what type of wedding you’d prefer. Things get darker the deeper you delve into his writings, where you’ll find entries in great detail. Kazuha writes a lot and he doesn’t even mean to. He just has to get all of his thoughts on paper before they abandon him and he’s left with emptiness.
Everything you do is pure; you’re almost an equivalent to a holy being. Your smell is pure. Your body is pure. Your actions are pure. Your smile is pure. Even when you’re on the verge of crying from harsh customers or when you’re turning down a confession, you’re still pure. And Kazuha likes that about you because it’s special. There aren’t many people in his life who are completely pure. He’s been through a lot of rough things and has seen firsthand how impure people can be. It’s only fair that he gets a chance to protect purity itself.
He might have some impurities, but that doesn’t deter him from watching over you. As gentle and unassuming as he is, there are times when even he loses his composure. Not many are privy to these dark emotions of his. His smiles are sharp and venomous and his eyes fill with a gloom so dark it can swallow you whole. You’ll never see this side of him; he won’t allow it. Instead you’re treated to his sweet, calm side, where he feigns perfection in hopes of catching your interest.
As for Scara… He doesn’t really care about Kazuha in the beginning. He’s just someone he has to live with. It’s not a big deal and as long as he doesn’t try to make lots of pointless conversation everything will be okay. He prefers the peace and quiet, considering he’s acquainted with people who are far from peaceful and quiet. Scara’s relieved that Kazuha leaves the dorm so often because it gives him an opportunity to watch his favorite cam star’s most recent video. He’s your most loyal follower—someone who’s paid lots of money just to have access to the highest tier of rewards and such. He even got a private video where you addressed him and moaned out his name with lustful thoughts of him. Having lots of money comes in handy.
When he finds out that you go to the same school as him, he’s a little shocked. He didn’t expect you to be so close. You’re practically within touching distance. If only he knew your schedule. If only you were in one of his classes. It’s really annoying that he only knows your online presence and not who you might be in your personal life. The last thing he’s going to do is consult Childe, that popular athlete who knows literally everyone in the school for whatever reason. Surely he knows you. But he’ll die before he ever asks Childe for a favor.
Scara loves you out of every other cam model because you’re different. You’re not just trying to get fast cash. You’re genuine. You listen to your subscribers and their feedback. You do your best to improve and do even better streams than the previous ones. All of your hard work is overlooked by the other fools who watch your streams, but it isn’t overlooked by him. Scara appreciates your attention to detail and the way you’re able to hook him with your breathless voice alone. You’re very skilled at what you do, so it’s only fair you get paid for it.
But buying your services isn’t enough. It’s not a real relationship, but it certainly feels like it when he buys preferential treatment. Private shows, special requests, odd favors—you do it all because he pays for it. But this relationship isn’t going to be one-sided forever. You’ll have to pay him back in full eventually. Scara likes to think he has patience and that waiting is fine. It gives him more time to plan his next move—to figure out what he should do to finally have you all to himself. So that those private shows he watches through a screen can finally be real.
Scara finds the journal sitting innocently on Kazuha’s bed, its maroon cover and maple leaves pulling at his curiosity. He might not know everything about Kazuha, but he’d recognize this journal anywhere. His roommate almost always has it on his person. Scara wouldn’t be surprised if he slept with it. To say he’s curious would be absolutely correct. He can only wonder what Kazuha writes in that thing. Perhaps it’s just notes for a class. That’s what anyone would think, right?
Scara opens it and flips through the first few pages. They’re normal for the most part. Just a bunch of haikus and other useless scribbles. When he skips over some pages, he starts to find things that are far more interesting than poetry and doodles of cats. He finds the majority of the journal is comprised of information. More specifically, there are facts and other knowledge about you—the cam model he’s been obsessed with ever since he stumbled upon your onlyfans. He reads through as much of the journal as he can and instantly learns so much: your address, your roommate, your workplace, your friends’ names, names of any potential exes. The list goes on and on.
Scara doesn’t have anything against Kazuha. His first impression of him wasn’t anything groundbreaking. He thought he was a pushover at first. But now that he knows what this journal holds… Well, it sheds an entirely new light on his roommate.
Just days before Scara took a peek inside his journal, Kazuha discovers your secret online life. He snoops through Scara’s laptop when he steps out, having left it open and unlocked. He’s just trying to find what could have caught Scara’s interest, as he’s almost always glued to his laptop on specific days at specific times, with his headphones on and his gaze unyielding. He doesn’t intend to find the file of one of your private videos—something that was meant only for Scara’s eyes.
He clicks on the video out of interest. He’s not sure what he was expecting to see, but it definitely wasn’t this. Kazuha sits there and stares at the sight before him. You’re dressed in skimpy lingerie and you’re muttering the dirtiest things while coating your fingers in lube. And your hands are stroking a thick toy and you’re addressing Scara and you’re lining it up to your hole and— He shuts the laptop before it can get even more explicit than it already is. He’s so conflicted, fraught with a betrayal so strong it weighs his heart down.
Why would he have this sort of video on his laptop? Did you give it to him? Did he make you do this? Are you in danger? Are you still pure?
Kazuha can’t kill on campus. It’s way too risky and he’d be one of the first suspects if Scara’s body is found. Besides, it’s not like he has the full story. He doesn’t know whether or not Scara’s done something that’s worthy of death. You could just be in a tight spot. He knows how easily you give in when you’re under pressure. Maybe you’re just doing this because you feel like it’s the only thing you can do. Not to worry; Kazuha will save you before Scara can ruin your purity with his twisted fantasies.
They confront each other when the time feels right. Kazuha struggles to keep a smile plastered to his face for the sake of politeness, while Scara holds in his raging temper so that he can bear some semblance of cooperation. Neither of them is happy to hear that the other went through their stuff, but they force themselves to make up because a more pressing issue is at hand: their connection to you.
Kazuha says he’s your secret admirer. Scara says he’s in a relationship with you. There’s no way you’d ever date someone like Scara—Kazuha knows this for a fact. Yet he falters at the confidence in Scara’s tone. That can’t be the truth, right? Despite this, Kazuha still strikes up an offer: If they work together to get what they both want, they’ll be unstoppable. With Scara’s riches and his influence and Kazuha’s charisma and clever thinking, they can easily get their hands on you. Of course this means they’ll have to share, but it’s not a big deal when they’re already in so deep. They both know the other’s secret; now they’re swearing to keep it in the pursuit of having you all to themselves. And luckily Scara agrees to the deal, but that doesn’t give Kazuha a reason to lower his guard.
However despite how well they work together when it comes to planning the kidnapping and actually executing it, they both have their own reasons for wanting you. Scara wishes to make his relationship with you a reality—to toss aside the screen that once held him back and finally do all of the things he could only do in his dreams. Kazuha seeks to protect your fragile heart, lest you crumble under Scara’s intense way of doing things and cling to him for salvation. You can’t do those sorts of things with Scara; he won’t allow it. Your purity is meant for him and no one else.
But sharing is caring and some have to learn that the hard way. It definitely brings Kazuha and Scara closer together, even if neither of them will admit it. If they look past their desires, they can be friends. And soon enough they’ll have to accept this new friendship if they want to avoid any unnecessary complications.
However there are times when they’ll cooperate in order to do things with you. They’re a packaged deal you can’t get rid of.
--
They've always said a lot of things about him, and I've always heard them. But I've never quite believed them. Sure, I get why the dark things that have flourished in the poisoned soil that is Ketterdam consider Kaz Brekker the darkest thing of all. I understand the nickname 'Dirtyhands' for the gloved criminal who has fooled each crime boss at least once. I understand each terrible thing they've said about him.
But I've never agreed with them. I've never even considered agreeing with them. Until today.
The thought that maybe everything people say about him is correct in a simple context struck me worse than the silence after our argument. It made me feel like both a fool and hypocrite. Kaz and I have had our fair share of spats over the relatively short time we've known each other, but never like this. Never so badly he stormed out of the room before I could. I squeeze the book in my lap even harder, desperate to focus on the words on the pages.
You didn't hurt him. He walked away because he decided you weren't worth the cost of his expensive time. I repeat those thoughts in my mind over and over again, letting them bitter me further. It's a lot easier to be mad than hurt. A lot easier to fuel your pain than try to understand your mistakes. Besides, tiredness is already dredging around in my chest and if I don't calm down a little I won't be able to fall asleep.
I had escalated the fight more than I should have. Knowing Kaz is like performing in a tightrope act. One must always be aware of where they're going. Watching what's in front of them without ever thinking too much about what's beneath or behind them. Today though, when I needed my balance most I chose to fall. I chose to dive, and apparently there was no net.
"Oh, you're doing that thing."
I roll my eyes at Jesper's voice as I fight down a yawn. I wipe my face with the back of my palm before turning. The burning behind my eyes never resulted in full tears, but I feel better after doing so. "What thing?"
"That terribly noble thing where you find it in yourself to take full blame for every single conflict you and boss man fall into." The slight humor in his voice is enough for me to roll my eyes again. "Between you and me, I'm sure the reason he's so angry now is because you didn't do that for once."
I press my lips together as my chin angles itself upwards slightly. "I never do that." He raises an eyebrow. The slight sympathy that colors the look is more offensive than his accusation. "If I pick and choose my battles, it's for good reason."
"Clearly."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
He shrugs once before further entering my room. I say nothing when he sits at the foot of my bed. "Oh, you know," Jesper stretches back casually, resting his back against the wall and extending his legs, "You and Kaz--Kaz and you."
Has he been drinking? Perhaps he's not here because of my unusual absence from downstairs after my fight with Kaz but because he's already too tipsy to think right. "What?"
At my confused look he grins, flashing all of his teeth with an arrogance that outshines the whiteness of them. He taps the still open book in my lap. "Let me put it in terms you'll understand." Jesper sits up a little further, amusement clear in his features. "You two make a shameful Elizabeth and Darcy--"
"Oh, shut up," I groan, glaring at him, "This isn't Pride and Prejudice. And Kaz and I," Jesper's smugness returns when I can't quite think of what I want to say, "We're barely friends--we're barely anything, let alone what you're implying."
Jesper pulls his legs up and shoves me gently. "Dearest, y/n," he ignores my glare, "You should know better than anyone that 'barely friends, barely anything' with Kaz is more than it is with anyone else?"
"That doesn't mea--"
"You two say goodnight to each other." Once. Kaz and I said good night to each other in front of Jesper once. How dare he assume it happens regularly? He's right, but that doesn't mean I'm okay with it. "You play cards with him. Not for money, not for skill--"
"It's for practice." The look Jesper gives me is enough to tell me that my defense didn't land.
Damn him for ever finding Kaz and I on one of those strange nights. One of those nights in which he lurks at the stairwell...the one that divides my room and his attic. One of those nights in which it feels like he's a phantom and I'm the only one that can really see him. A night in which we both silently find each other.
I couldn't quite believe it the first time it happened. I'm not exactly a Crow--I don't feel enough a connection to the Dregs to join them without some kind of guarantee--but I was needed for some obscure job. but I was needed for some obscure job. The Crows needed an insider who could blend into high society, and I needed a place to stay away from my father.
It worked. I worked. And with each passing day I found myself enjoying the Crows more and more. That's why I stayed. That's why I started checking the stairwell practically every night, a set of playing cards in my hand.
The first time had been awkward. I couldn't sleep and my room felt too quiet, but the rambunctious club felt too loud and a little unsafe considering the hour. So I settled for the only space in between. When Kaz found me sitting on the steps and playing a solitary card game I had been so stunned by embarrassment I just offered to deal him in. I had been more shocked when he silently accepted my offer.
"Practice?" Jesper repeats. "You were laughing, I heard you."
"That was one time--how do you know we didn't just happen to play cards together the one time you saw it?"
"Because you laughed about a play you considered 'predictable'."
Sighing, I sit up a little straighter. "I'm not having this conversation. Occasionally saying 'goodnight' to someone who lives in the same space I live in and sometimes playing cards with said person because we both happen to be up at a certain time doesn't mean anything."
"And the way he looked at the contact that was flirting with you?"
Oh...this conversation again. "For the last time, the contact wasn't flirting with me. We had to dance to blend in and when he leaned towards me to whisper in my ear...it was to tell me the intel Kaz just had to have."
"And when he tucked that strand of hair behind your ear?"
"He just wanted to sell our cove--"
"Y/n, he kissed your cheek and I'm fairly certain he would have kissed you if Kaz and I hadn't made it to the corridor at that second."
Why is everyone so obsessed with what would have never happened? The contact had been attractive, tall with fair eyes and hair. But it's not like I feel anything for him, nor would I have been so foolish during a job. A fact that Kaz refuses to believe. I'm tired of this argument...I'm just tired. This job required me to start getting ready early in the morning and lasted long into the night.
"I wouldn't have kissed him and even if I had, the fact that Kaz is so mad about feels...sexist." A stupid argument, considering that Kaz couldn't care less if the person he's working with is female, male, or anything in between because the only thing he cares about is profit. "It's a stupid thing to be mad about, but you hit on anything with a pulse at any time and--"
"I resent that--"
"For the first two weeks I was here I thought you might've been a prostitute."
I can feel him holding in a laugh. "Did you at least think I was a good prostitute?" When I glare again, he finally actually laughs. "Not the point--got it."
"Then what is the point? You're bored and obsessed with gossip so now you're shaking me for information you don't need."
"The point is you're oblivious." Rude...I move my leg in a weak attempt to push him off my bed. Jesper catches my ankle easily, ignoring my attempt at a fight. "You thought the contact was only doing his job and you don't know the real reason that Kaz blew up at you for the first time the way he blows up at everyone."
"Okay, well since you know everything, tell me why he's mad."
He lets out a sigh like he can't believe I even needed to ask that. "It's not the best look that the first time you let him pick a fight with you happens to be about some guy."
...Maybe he is drunk? "Don't be so cryptic. I don't like you enough to put up with that."
Jesper half-sighs again before pushing himself off my bed. "I'm going to pretend I think you're smart enough to piece things together from that."
"Asshole," I mumble instinctually as he walks towards my door. "Are you not telling me because I tried to push you off the bed?"
He turns when he reaches my door in order to lean against my door frame. "It's not not because of that." I should throw my book at his head. "In all seriousness, think about it. If you don't you'll either kill each other or kill me."
Ugh...he's so confusing. This time, I let him go. He leaves he door open, which is beyond annoying. I stand up to close it, promising myself I will focus on my book the second it's in my hands again. As I walk back towards my bed, my eyes land on the deck of cards on my nightstand.
Does it send a signal I don't want to send if I don't go the stairwell tonight? Do I want to send a signal? I don't know...actually, the only thing I know is that I don't want to think about this a second longer. I don't ease as I read, but my eyelids become heavier with each word they cross. I feel the weight of them as my focus slips, farther and farther away until I can no longer focus. When my eyes fall shut I can't bring myself to think or force them open.
--
I notice my surprised before I register that I've just woken up. Falling asleep feels so far and yet the crick in my neck confirms the obvious. Rubbing the eyes with the back of my hand, I push my book from my lap and sit up. The only indication of how much time has passed is how much my bedside candle has melted.
How long have I been asleep? How did I manage to fall asleep? I thought I was too mad at Kaz to manage anything but pouting in my room. I hadn't even decided if I wanted to talk to him.
I stand even though I haven't decided anything. I should at least change if I want to go to bed. But is leaving this alone for even longer a bad idea? I think Jesper thought so...though my conversation with him is far from clear. It's not the best look that the first time you let him pick a fight with you happens to be about some guy. I'm going to pretend I think you're smart enough to piece things together from that. What does he want me to do with that?
Maybe he was partially intoxicated and felt the need to play the role of a good friend. Or maybe this is his idea of a joke.
Whatever--regardless of Jesper, I have a choice to make. A tiny part of me hopes it's insignificant, but I know Kaz enough to know that nothing is insignificant to him. He holds onto things the way he holds onto his kruge. Perhaps I'll seek out Inej, she seems to be the best at rationalizing. Though she might be asleep by now, or on a job or...I don't even know.
How late is it? Is it late enough to be one of the few hours Kaz claims to reserve for sleep? Maybe my bad luck is still around and he's already in bed for once. Does that mean his anger will extend to tomorrow?
I shouldn't care. It's not like I'm in the wrong. Did I escalate things? Maybe a little...but I won't apologize for defending myself. Even though that makes everything a little easier. I feel stuck, like in some kind of place of half sleep. A single knock at my door is enough to make me want to jump. I rub my eyes a little more firmly in hopes of waking up more before someone sees me.
I approach the door without worry. Maybe it's not as late as I assumed. Or maybe it's really early? I open the door while still fighting against my slight disorientation. I'm so focused on acting normal, I almost don’t register the person standing at my door.
I don’t know who I expected, or what--maybe Jesper, much more tipsy than he was before, slumped against the doorframe, only knocking because he’s too tired to push the door open. Maybe even Inej, on her way here to deliver some kind of job or notice of dismissal. But it’s nothing I could expect. It’s...Kaz.
The Dirtyhands stands at my door, expression as hard as ever yet something behind his eyes that burns the sleep away from me. “Uh--hi.” I bite my tongue to avoid cringing at that very awkward beginning. “Are you here to kick me out yourself?” The only response I get is the slightest shift of his gaze off of my face. “No? Well then I think I’m going to bed. It’s late.”
My tone and words are clear. Get out of my doorway, I’m in no mood to go back to arguing.  When he still doesn’t say anything, I’m emboldened by my nerves. I push the door between us without breaking eye contact.
Before the wood can meet the doorframe, he moves his cane, wedging it between us. “Y/n.” I don’t understand the way he says my name, but I’m certain he’s never said it like that. “I...” When he’s not prompted by the uncomfortableness of silence, I raise an eyebrow, my grip on the door tightening. “What I said shouldn’t have been said.” Wait--is he admitting fault? I’m so thrown I almost melt entirely. “Not to you.”
The addition leaves him so lowly a part of me wonders if I’ve imagined it. I’m so thrown by it I don’t even think to reply until a long second has passed. “You seemed to believe the opposite a few hours ago.”
His lips press together for a moment. “You didn’t ask me to play cards tonight.” He took that as intentional? At least that got me some kind of apology? I keep my mouth shut, greed making me want more information. I guess he must sense my silent tugging because he head inclines slightly. “Don’t push.”
I fight down a grin. “Push what?” His only response to stiffen further. “I’m going to tell you something as a peace offering.” That seems to intrigue him in some way. I can’t tell if it’s a good kind of interested, but I note the slight raise of his eyebrows and his intentional silence. “I didn’t chose not to ask you to play cards.” He gives me no indication of anything, which is fair...considering my vagueness. “I was mad, obviously, and in the middle of deciding on a course of action...and then I fell asleep.”
A long pause of silence. “You fell asleep?”
I’m not sure if his incredulous tone should offend me or not. If I wanted to lie, I’d like to think he knows me well enough to know that I’d have thought of a better excuse than that. Or at least a less embarrassing one. “Yes, it’s not that difficult to believe. Today had been long and all I wanted to do was read, but then Jesper came in to say the oddest things and then leave me to...”
Oh--oh. I guess there’s a reason people say to ‘sleep on’ something. Because now, actively remembering Jesper’s words for the first time since I fell asleep...I understand what Jesper was implying in the oddest way possible. He meant that Kaz and I...that perhaps there is a Kaz and I in a context that’s more than just grammatical. Wow. I really had to realize this with Kaz right in front of me.
My face feels warmer than it did before, an irrational bout of anxiety forcing me to consider that me might be able to read impossible, embarrassing thoughts from my expression alone.
“What did Jesper say?” I’m too lost in my own spiral of confusion and panic and some feeling I can’t recognize to register how Kaz asks his question. There’s an edge to it, an odd one, but that could easily just be Kaz.
This is most definitely the last conversation we need to be having. I’m still mad at him for his earlier dramatics. So I just shake my head, feigning an exhaustion I could lose myself in. “Nothing and everything all at once.” I resist the urge to rub my eyes again. “I’m pretty sure he was drinking, and I wasn’t really listening. I was just trying to read.”
Kaz’s expression hardens briefly as he takes in my words, and then he exhales, nodding once with the breath. “What were you reading?”
My lips part instinctually, ready to spew off details about the latest novel that’s captured my attention. But before I can let myself take off, the reality of the situation strikes me directly in the chest. This is not Nina, or Inej, or even Jesper after what he considers a ‘good night’. This is Kaz Brekker, the man believed to not have a soul. I’ve spoken to him before about casual things, though most of the nights in which we end up playing cards or just sitting near each other are spent in silence. But he’s never prompted me before. Not in the one topic he knows is guaranteed to turn me into an overenthusiastic, gushing fountain of poor summaries and character analysis.
I guess this is his peace offering. This shouldn’t warm the way it does. He was still unbelievably dramatic and treated me like I’m some kind of unreliable fool. “It’s late, and you know how I can be. I’d hate to keep you for nothing more than a poor summary and honestly, an embarrassing rant about plot or characters, because there’s just nothing as frustrating as when two people so clearly care about each other and both are too stubborn and oblivious to acknowledge it.”
Kaz’s eyebrows draw together just enough for me to be able to make out a shift of expression in the poor light. Perhaps his lingering irritation is preparing to rear its ugly head. The corner of his mouth seems to threaten to tilt upwards as Kaz angles his head to the side slightly. “I can’t imagine that position.”
No kidding. I bite my tongue to keep the sarcastic comment and awkward laugh that would sure follow it away. “Who can? That’s like half the point of reading.”
How can interaction feel so over and just at its beginning all at once? I press my lips together to avoid filling the silence with things I’d no doubt instantly regret. It’s easy to be mad at Kaz in the moment. Too easy. But to stay mad at him when his temper has passed and he returns with some kind of begrudging and admittedly awkward and uncertain truce is another task entirely.
“I’ve never understood your attachment to written words.”
“It’s not about understanding, it’s about everything else.”
“And you say I’m cryptic.” Is he...kinda almost joking? I straighten my spine, too tired to fight and too wounded to forgive. “There’s understanding in everything, nothing can survive on sentiment alone.”
“If you read the way I did, you’d understand.”
His lips press together as his expression remains unwavering in its hardness. “Read to me.”
...Interacting with Kaz in any way often leaves me feeling like I’m wandering through unknown territory. But this, this is undeniably different. So different I can’t even think of a way to react. I watch his expression as cautiously as possible. He’s purely reserved, no distinction from the look he wears during business propositions. Except there’s a tightness I can’t quite understand.
Maybe it’s because I don’t want to fight anymore. Maybe it’s because exhaustion is leaving me partially delirious. Or maybe it’s the weird feeling in my chest that I can’t quite place. That I don’t want to place. “Okay.” I shift carefully. “If for no other reason then to prove you wrong.”
Never did I think I’d end up in the position of sitting in my bed, book in hand, with Kaz Brekker sitting next to me. But here we are. I’m so tired, I almost let out a nervous laugh when he first walked in. So brooding and tall, gripping the head of his head cane as he sits at the foot of my bed, on my pastel quilt.
I’m glad for the excuse to keep my gaze away from him and on the words in front of me. I read out loud, feeling more and more comfortable with each page I finish. But as my inhibitions slip away, so dos my hold on consciousness. My eyelids seem to grow heavier with each word that I read.
“You’re falling asleep.”
I straighten my spine on instinct. “Am not.” I’m not sure why I feel the need to deny something so simple.
“You’re impossible.”
From him, that statement is laugh worthy. “I’m impossible? Do you not remember earlier today?”
From the way his jaw locks, I realize that he’s in no mood to be light about this topic. I don’t understand why. It’s not like I’m the one that wronged him. “I remember your lack of focus.”
Keeping my hands at my side to avoid rubbing my eyes, I frown. “If you want to have this argument again, fine. Jesper is more ‘distracted’ than me half the time and you’re much more lenient on him. It’s not like I was flirting with someone or gambling or doing anything but having a two second conversation. One that I needed to have to get information that you wanted.”
The last time we fought, I had more energy to restrain myself. This could be atomic. I hold my breath, waiting for Kaz’s retaliation. He exhales, eyes not meeting mine. “Arguing with you when you’re present is exhausting enough. It’s not worth it when you’re half asleep.”
This angers me further. I hate that he’s right. “I’m not half asleep.” He leaves it at that. I glare even harder at him, slumping further into my bed. “But for the sake of argument, I’ll drop it. Something you’re incapable of doing.”
At that, his eyes meet mine. I try to hold his gaze, but the harder I think about not seeming tired the more exhaustion slips in. A yawn escapes me before he looks away. Great. “I know when to lie in the grass in wait.”
Rolling my eyes, I shift back slightly. He’s incapable of being less dramatic than this. Still, I can’t imagine the effort it’s taking on his part to not start an argument. Maybe this is why Jesper spent so long implying that there may be a Kaz and I in any capacity beyond a vague kind of friendship. “I’ll admit you’re tactful.”
“Resourceful people recognize that trait in other people.”
Blinking twice, I lower my book slightly. Am I truly exhausted, or did he just compliment me in a way? “Careful, I may start to think you find me tolerable.”
“Let’s not exaggerate.” Okay, now I know I’m exhausted because I think he might have just attempted a joke. Rolling my eyes, I decide not to acknowledge this lightness in fear that I’ll scare it away. “Y/n?”
I press my lips together, worried about the destruction of our peace. “Yes?”
“What did Jesper say to you? Earlier?” I pause, slightly unsure why we’re moving backwards.
We’re in a decent place now, and I’d hate to ruin it. I’m too half asleep to lie eloquently. And it’s not like he’s an easily convinced man. “Oh, he said it so cryptically it took me longer than it should have to understand. And it didn’t help that it was something so...well, you might find it funny. As funny as you find anything, anyways.” Wow...I’ve spent such a long time talking. Rubbing the back of my eyes, I avoid his gaze. Exhaustion and awkwardness mix in my stomach oddly. “It seemed like he was trying to imply that you and I...me and you...” Why is this a difficult thing to say? It’s not like I was implying it and Jesper’s known for his oddness. “I think Jesper was implying that there was a you and I, or at least that there could be.” I’m too lost in a haze of almost sleep to watch his reaction. I let my head rest against my headboard even further. “Isn’t that odd?”
He’s quiet for a long second, and then he finally speaks again. “Odd, even for Jesper.” The response doesn’t satiate me...what’s that about? I exhale, deciding that feeling is tomorrow’s problem. When I blink, I decide to let my eyes stay closed. Just for a moment. The sound of something shifting is what makes my eyes squint open. Kaz is standing, his expression unreadable as he straightens. “Goodnight, y/n.”
At that, I sit up slightly, ignoring the exhaustion behind my eyes. “I haven’t finished the chapter.”
“You’ve convinced me of enough.” A concession? How exhausted do I seem? My lips press together as I think of my next argument. Before I can get it out, Kaz leans forward. He grabs the quilt at the end of my bed and tosses it onto my legs casually. “Goodnight, y/n.” The meaning of his repetition is clear. His word is final.
I find enough energy to manage a glare, but I pull the quilt over my legs anyways. “Goodnight, Kaz.”
A Stark and her Soldier ~ Part 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Imagine: Reuniting with Bucky when you end up helping Sam with the Flag Smashers.
Warnings: TFATWS SPOILERS! This takes place during the first two episodes of the show.
A/N: I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’M BACK (with a new header lol)!!! AHHHHHHHH! It’s been nearly two years but here I am… posting this makes me SO nervous, so feedback would be highly appreciated! More parts and some information about what I’m planning with this blog to follow soon!
“You held us together – do it for them,” he paused before adding, “Promise me you’ll do it for them.”
You blinked away the tears, knowing what was coming, “I can’t promise that...”
“Y/N please,” the way he begged you with that shaking voice was nearly enough to push you over the edge.
“I-I promise.” He squeezed your hand before letting you leave.
Tumblr media
“You’ve reached James Barnes, sorry I couldn’t take your call, please –” you hung up before the recorded message could continue, face burning with frustration. This was the 9th time you had tried calling him this week, not to mention the countless text messages.
You scoffed thinking of Steve’s last words to you, how were you supposed to hold them together when you barely held yourself together on a good day? It doesn’t make it any easier when the person you’re supposed to be holding together is so keen on letting himself fall apart.
Every time you tried calling him, you ended up feeling furious, miserable, or like an absolute failure – usually all three. You promised Steve, you promised, and you failed. You groaned and chucked your phone across your bed.
The last time you had seen him, Steve had still been around, and you hadn’t even spoken to him since Tony’s funeral.
Tumblr media
 You and Pepper had walked to the lake, each holding one of Morgan’s hands, and you had sat at the dock watching the arc reactor – his heart – float away, the people behind you forgotten in your grief. The weight on your heart was unbelievable, you had already lost your best friend, Natasha, and now your brother was gone.
You promised him that you wouldn’t cry at his funeral – he always knew it was inevitable – and so you sat there, sending him away with a pained smile.
You had no idea how long you had just sat there, staring at the horizon across the lake, trying to make this last moment with your brother last forever.
“Y/N?” You felt a hand squeezing your shoulder, “You should come back inside.”
“What happens now, Steve?” Your voice was softer than he had ever heard before.
“I don’t know, but we’ll figure it out together,” he paused for a moment before gesturing to Bucky, waiting outside the house behind him, “He wants to talk to you.”
You gave Bucky a small smile, “Hey.”
He walked over and dropped down next to you, Steve leaving the two of you to chat, “I’m sorry.”
“Thank you,” You nodded solemnly.
He added, “For everything, Y/N… he probably wouldn’t even have wanted me here, but –”
You shook your head and took his hand, heart fluttering at the contact. You had always been attracted to him, and it had only grown with every interaction. “That wasn’t you.”
You knew your brother never blamed Bucky, you all knew how it felt to have people mess with your heads and Bucky had had the worst of it. He was furious at Steve for years, but never at Bucky – you could never bring yourself to be angry with either of them, not after the stories you grew up with. Your father had adored the soldiers and you had been one of their biggest fans, and later one of Steve’s closest friends.
There had come a point after the battle between Tony and Steve when you had become sick of all the back and forth. You were lucky enough to find an escape when T’Challa got in touch with you, offering you a chance to come to Wakanda and learn about their technology – you weren’t ashamed to admit that you were the one who contacted him to beg for it. You hadn’t known that Bucky was already there. Slowly but surely, the two of you found comfort in one another and became good friends.
He gave you a smile that didn’t reach his eyes, “You should head inside, it’s getting late – I’ll see you again soon.”
He stayed true to that statement, the two of you stood with Sam and Bruce, waiting for Steve to come back after returning the stones – only to have him shatter your hearts.
You only saw Bucky in passing after that, occasionally visiting Steve at the same time – you never said a word to him, beyond a smile or a wave, and then you stopped seeing him all together. You tried, for the sake of your promise to Steve, but he never answered your calls or texts.
Tumblr media
“We’ll figure it out together, right, thanks a lot Steve,” You muttered.
You jumped at the sound of your phone ringing, and your shoulders sank a bit when you saw Sam’s name flashing across the screen, “Hey.”
“He’s doing an interview,” You knew exactly who Sam was talking about, “Good Morning America.”
Your stomach turned, “That’s the last thing I want to see.”
“I know, I just thought I’d share my joy with someone,” Sam chuckled, “Any luck with Bucky?”
“I’m just wasting my time at this point,” You could feel the tears returning to your eyes as you said it.
“Hey, come on now, he’ll come around, he just needs some time.”
“Right…”
“Listen, I called because we have a lead, wanna join?”
“Please.”
Tumblr media
“I hate it, his stupid face plastered on every wall, it feels like he’s mocking us.”
“Don’t you start, Y/N.”
“Seriously Sam, I get that he’s the new Cap – the fake Cap, but don’t you think that this,” You gestured to the posters around you, “is excessive?”
“It-”
“Shouldn’t have given up the shield.” Your heart skipped a beat at the sound of his voice and your face heated up with anger, you hadn’t realized it was possible to feel such contrasting emotions at the same time, but here you were. You noted that his voice was a bit hoarse and wondered if he had been sick.
“Good to see you too, Buck.”
“This is wrong.”
“So is pushing away everyone who cares about you.” He finally looked at you and you saw shame glistening in those steel blue eyes.
He said nothing before turning back to Sam, “You didn’t know that was gonna happen?”
Wow, ignoring your calls was one thing, but outright ignoring you while you stood in front of him, that caused a different kind of hurt.
You stood in silence as Sam explained where the two of you were headed, trying to push away the pounding in your head, and suddenly, you found yourself in a jet sitting next to Bucky.
“You could have answered, even once. Could’ve at least let me know that you were still alive.”
“I know,” Was all he said.
“We were friends once,” Nothing, “and I still care for you.”
“I know.”
“Four months, a full four months and I didn’t hear a single word from you, I’m going to need more than ‘I know’.”
He sighed, “I’m sorry.”
You could tell that he meant it and didn’t know what more to say, so you got up and headed towards the open door of the plane, “I’ll catch you boys on the ground.”
You watched Sam follow, and considered helping Bucky as he fell through the trees, but you decided against it. He hurt your feelings and now you could call it even.
Tumblr media
Super soldiers? How on earth were there more super soldiers?! You didn’t have much time to ponder on the thought as you got kicked in the face by one of them and fell off the semi – definitely should have let Tony make you a helmet like he insisted.
You flew back up only to see him dropping out of a helicopter, Fake Cap, fuck.
“Looks like you guys could use some help,” Your blood boiled at the sight of his cocky grin.
You weren’t winning, and you weren’t stupid enough to continue trying, let Steve’s knock-off take care of it.
You flew off just in time to see Bucky lying on top of Sam, the latter groaned in displeasure.
“Hey, can you gentlemen save the PDA for later?” You joked, earning a glare from both of them.
With the adrenaline slowly draining from your system, the pain from the blows you took started to set in, making you dread the trek in front of you. As if on cue, you heard a horn honking and Fake Cap pulled up next to you, “It’s 20 miles to the airport, you guys need a ride.”
“I think we’re good,” You simply stated.
“You won’t make it with that limp.”
You gave him a crude smile, “I’d rather crawl.”
They stopped and opened the door, you exchanged a look with Sam and Bucky, silently deciding to join them.
You sat between Bucky and Sam, and felt the anger and disgust radiating off of both of them with every word that was exchanged.
“Y/N Stark,” You despised the way he said your last name, like he wanted to devour you, “You are one of the original seven, I trust you know the importance of having a strong team. I’d suggest giving a word or two of advice to your friends here.”
“Did you really just compare being on a team with you two, to being on a team with the Avengers?” You glowered at him, “A word of advice Walker, you’re not Steve, you might be holding that shield, but you will never be half the Captain America that he was. So quit fucking pretending.”
“I didn’t realize Stark’s sister had such a mouth on her,” He smirked, he knew exactly what he was doing and as much as you hated to admit it, it was working, “Vicious.”
“Go to hell.”
The ride didn’t last very long after that, and you had no complaints when Bucky demanded them to stop the car.
Tumblr media
You opened your eyes and rolled over to see Sam still asleep on the seats across from you, and Bucky was sitting on the large crate in the middle of the jet, “Not tired?”
“Nah,” He shook his head.
You pushed yourself to your feet and hopped up next to him, “You’d think they’d make those seats a bit more comfortable considering the amount of time we spend on these things.”
He chuckled and the two of you fell into a comfortable silence. After a considerable pause he turned to you, “Y/N, I meant what I said earlier, I’m sorry.”
The dark bags under his eyes were a stark contrast from the beautiful blue that you were looking into, which you noted which had lost its luster. You noticed that his voice still had a bit of that hoarseness from earlier in the day, and the dots connected. You remembered how hoarse your voice used to get when you’d wake up screaming from the nightmares after particularly rough missions. You understood why he was awake, he didn’t want you and Sam to see him like that.
You nodded, “I know, I just wish – I was worried sick about you. I know it hasn’t been easy for you Buck, but we were good friends once and I miss you.”
“I wanted to call, it’s just been tough,” He admitted, and you reached over to take his hand, only to quickly pull away as Sam woke up.
“You two okay?”
“Yeah,” You both said. You wondered if Bucky’s super soldier ability allowed him to hear the way your heartbeat picked up from that brief touch.
Tumblr media
Your mind was racing a million miles a minute, you had barely kept the tears in listening to Isaiah’s story, both out of anger and sadness. How? How did this happen? How was this man tortured, then brushed under the rug? How did no one know about it? Why the hell did Bucky keep this from you?
Sam mirrored your pained expression, but something darker lurked beneath his eyes, you couldn’t even imagine the rage he felt. The sound of a police siren pulled you out of your thoughts.
Your anger only grew at the argument that ensued, “I am calm, what do you want? We’re just standing here talking.”
“Just give him your ID,” You glared at Bucky as the words left his mouth.
“Why the hell should he? He didn’t do anything wrong!” You growled, at the same time Sam said, “I’m not giving him shit, we were just talking.”
“Hey, hey, look, is this guy bothering you?” The officer asked you and Bucky. Your eyes widened, he can’t be serious right now.
“No, he’s not bothering us, do you know who this is?!”
You couldn’t even stand to look at the guy as his jaw dropped in shock upon realizing who Sam was, you felt your body shake with anger, and you didn’t even want to think what would have happened if Sam hadn’t been an Avenger.
The officer returned from his vehicle and turned the tables, announcing that there was a warrant out for Bucky’s arrest.
Watching him being handcuffed and put into the car shattered your heart, if the events of the day hadn’t already left you feeling nauseous, you knew this would be the nail in the coffin. All you could see was Bucky on his knees with a gun to his head nearly seven year ago when Steve barely prevented T’Challa from killing him and the four of you had been arrested – Tony had been furious with you, but it was the shame in Bucky’s eyes that had hurt you the most, and here you were, witnessing it again.
You reached over a grabbed Sam’s hand and squeezed as hard as you could, desperate for a lifeline to keep you from sinking into those painful memories.
You maintained that same grip on the poor man’s hand as you sat at the police station waiting for Bucky to be bailed out, “Sam, Y/N, I’ve heard a lot about you two, I’m Dr. Raynor, I’m James’ therapist.”
The two of you shook her hand and Sam thanked her for getting Bucky out.
“That was not me –”
“Christina!” You’d recognize that voice anywhere from the way it made your skin crawl, fuck, “Good to see you again.”
You clenched your jaw to keep yourself from punching the stupid grin off of his face as he pointed to himself when Dr. Raynor asked him who authorized Bucky’s release. You knew you had a problem with constantly wanting to punch people in the face, it was a trait that ran in the family, but Walker’s face was definitely one of the most punchable ones you had seen – a good ol’ pop in the jaw wouldn’t hurt, right? Just one?
“He’s too valuable of an asset to have him tied up –”
That was it, that was all you were willing to hear, you couldn’t stop yourself from getting in his face and hissing, “Call him that again, and I swear to god Walker, I –”
Sam put his arm around you, hand pressed to your stomach and pulled you back, “Y/N.”
Walker simply smirked and turned back to Raynor, “Do what you have to do and send him off to me. Got some unfinished business, him and I, you too Wilson, and bring your guard dog with you.”
It took everything in your power to keep from snarling at him.
“James, condition of your release, session now,” The doctor ordered, “You two as well.”
“I’m good, I’ve been to enough therapy,” You shook your head, at the same time Sam said, “That’s okay, I’ll be out here with –”
“That wasn’t a request,” You couldn’t help but chuckle, and decided that you liked this woman.
You and Sam sat on either side of Bucky, facing Dr. Raynor as she got started. You couldn’t help but notice the way Bucky’s eyes shifted and jaw clenched as Sam tried to weasel his way out of the session, and your chest tightened. He looked so tired, and not just the ‘hasn’t slept in a few days’ tired, but more like he was tired of trying – he looked broken.
You decided in that moment that you would try, and not just for Steve, but for the man next to you who had held a piece of your heart before he even knew you, and managed steal that piece away when you had met him years later.
You realized how hard you’d have try when Bucky answered Dr. Raynor’s question with, “In my miracle, he would talk less.”
“Exactly what I was gonna say, isn’t that ironic?” You sighed, so hard.
She turned to you, mimicking the expression on your face, “Y/N, can I trust you to give me a proper answer?”
Try, Y/N, try. You saw a glimmer of hope in Raynor’s eyes as they met yours, but you simply shrugged and looked away, unable to bring yourself to open up, and she let her shoulders fall slightly.
“You guys are leaving me with no choice. It’s time for the soul-gazing exercise. Y/N, you can sit this one out, you get along with both of them well enough.”
You rolled your eyes at the reactions from the boys, this’ll be good. You couldn’t help but chuckle as they got closer to one another, maybe I should have taken part in this exercise. They made eye contact and continued to hold it, you realized what they were doing moments before the doctor did and let out a genuine laugh – earning a glare from Raynor, don’t encourage them she seemed to say.
“James, why does Sam aggravate you? And don’t say something childish.” Your head filled with a hundred different ideas about what stupid things Bucky would come up with, only to have them fizzle away at his cheeky grin towards the doctor, followed by the lick of his lip. It left your throat dry. Snap out of it, Y/N, what’s gotten into you?
He paused for a moment, his expression changing, and turned back to Sam, “Why’d you give of that shield?”
You held your breath, you knew this was going to come up, but weren’t expecting it here. You couldn’t take your eyes off of Bucky, noticing every change in his face, it becoming more pained with every word that left his mouth, and your chest tightening alongside it, until finally, “So maybe he was wrong about you. And if he was wrong about you, then he was wrong about me.”
The break in his voice cracked your heart into a million pieces. You looked up, trying to keep the tears swimming in your eyes from falling. You turned your attention towards Sam and noticed the emotion behind his glassy eyes – it was different than anything you had seen in him before, it was almost as though you could see the burden he was carrying on his shoulders, the pressure that was pushing him in every direction.
I have to fix this, you told yourself, you couldn’t stand to see them like this, I have to try.
Your mind was roaring with thoughts, you hadn’t even noticed that Sam and Bucky had left until Raynor asked, “What would be in your miracle, Y/N?”
You snapped your head towards her, then to the door, you weighed your options and headed towards the latter. You grabbed the handle and stopped, without turning towards her you whispered, “I’d find a home again, and they’d find some happiness.”
You pulled the door open, “Y/N, I don’t think those two things have to be separate.”
Her words swam in your head until you found Bucky and Sam walking outside, Walker and Hoskins storming off in the other direction.
“What’s that all about?”
“Walker being Walker,” Sam shrugged.
“So, what now?”
“Bucky wants to talk to Zemo,” Every memory that you spent years trying to forget came flooding back: Zemo using those words to turn Bucky into the Winter Soldier, who then proceeded to trash the compound and nearly kill you and your friends; watching your family fight each other at the airport and being forced to pick a side; watching the footage of your parents dying; desperately begging your brother and the man who had become your brother not to kill one another.
“You what?!” You gasped.
“Y/N –”
You stepped between the two of them, close enough to Bucky that you had to tilt your head up to look into his eyes, and whispered, “Bucky, no.”
“This might be our only lead, Y/N,” You stared up at him, silently pleading him, he reflected the same in his own, “Please Y/N.”
He took your hand and you instantly melted, “I – fine, but promise me you will be careful.”
“I promise.”
End.
Tumblr media
“Luke! Stop moving!” She lightly slapped her boyfriend’s hand, to which he groaned in return. Her tongue stuck out slightly from between her lips in concentration, eyebrows furrowing as she returned to the task she had firmly put her mind to. That was, until the blond giant moved again, “Luke!”
“Bambi,” Luke echoed lightly, using his nickname for the smaller girl in front of him who looked up at him with an unimpressed facial expression.
“You’re gonna ruin it,” She mumbled lightly, pointing back down at her artwork which Luke only then first looked at. It was safe to say, although he shouldn’t have been, he was thoroughly shocked.
His nails, which his girl had somehow managed to convince him into painting weren’t black, or blue. No, they were bright, blasting, hot pink. He groaned lightly, wondering just how exactly she had managed to rope him into this and just how he was going to hide his nails from the rest of the gang later on tonight when he -they- met up with them tonight.
She was a bundle of both nerves and excitement, finally getting to meet Luke’s closest friends. It had been about a week since their argument, and now she was meeting his friends. It seemed like everything was moving in the right direction, thankfully. She couldn’t wait to be honest, very much looking forward to being able to hear more about Luke from his friends, and just meeting them in general.
They seemed fun.
Well, as fun as gang members could be. She probably should have been more cautious surrounding them, but Luke got her guard down so quickly and she was yet to regret that. How scary could they possibly be considering the man in front of her, soft blond curls held back by her bunny bath headband, nails painted hot pink, was supposed to be the scariest man in the whole city.
“Cal’s gonna rip the piss outta me for this, Bambi,” He complained softly, with no plans to take the polish off of his nails as he looked at his girlfriend, between his legs, small hand wrapped around the bottle of nail polish with her other hand laying against his knee.
She couldn’t help the small upturn of her lips as she blew softly against the nail polish on his fingernails, not patient enough to let it airdry despite it being a fast-drying polish. She shrugged lightly, head flopping to the side adorably as Luke stared down at her, resisting the urge to run his hands through her hair; another issue he had with the wet paint on his fingernails.
“I think it looks great, we’re matching,” She then flaunted the bright pink color that coated her own nails, and Luke’s lips twitched into a grin, careful not to ‘aww’ at the cute words that came out of the smaller girl’s mouth.
He hummed lightly, leaning back against the couch but his baby blues never leaving her face, “They look a lot better on you than they do me, Bambi.”
“I think they’re cute,” The girl climbed onto his lap, making Luke take a deep intake of breath as she sits barely an inch away from a rather sensitive area of his. She, however, seemed to pay no attention to the risen area of his jeans as she leaned against his chest, face hidden in the crook of his neck, soft breaths from her mouth fanning against his neck.
He twisted to give her a small kiss on the forehead, to which she responds by kissing his neck softly, lips staying against his neck as her hand traveled up his stomach up to his neck, holding him close as she began to kiss the base of his neck more.
“Lu,” She whispered softly, “How much time have we got?”
“Like an hour, baby. Why?”
However, the girl never replied verbally, and instead repositioned herself carefully, Luke’s neck void from her warmth before her hand started to travel down, painfully slow, until it landed right above the tent in his jeans. His eyes traveled up to meet hers, eyebrow raised as she dropped her hand down barely, lips struggling to pull the smirk away.
He lifted his hands to her back, going to reposition her before she shook her head, “Your nail polish, Lu. Hands down.”
His hands didn’t move, frozen in place around her clothed waist. His nails were long since dried, she knew that, but she liked this. She liked the intake of breath he took when her hand ghosted over the hardened cock in his jeans, the way he couldn’t lift his hands; scared to smudge the pink on his nails.
He was restricted. Oh, how the tables had turned.
Her hand gently palmed against his hardened, clothed cock, causing a grumble to emit from his throat. It was a deep rumbling sound, -something that the girl had heard numerous times but would never get used to.
To her, everything about Luke was perfect, even his moans.
“Bambi, you know the rules about teasing-”
Her lips attached to his, cutting him off rather efficiently, pressing softly as she continued to palm him through his jeans, gently rocking on his thigh. He moaned into their kiss, her tongue, as a reflex, finding its way into his mouth. Their tongues pressed against one another, lips still pressed together as her spare hand crawled up to the back of his neck, playing with his soft curls.
Her palm pressed into his fully hardened cock now, his tongue swiping over her lips before tugging on it, pulling apart, breathless. His hands found a place on her waist, guiding her softly but firmly, taking back the control he craved.
Looking her straight in the eyes, one of Luke’s hands went around her neck, thumb pulling her lower lip down as he unbuckled his belt with one hand, taking his cock out of its confined clothing and bringing her hand down to hold onto it. It wasn’t the first time that she had given him a handjob, and it wouldn’t be the last, but she still couldn’t help but be nervous.
Despite not being a virgin when she met Luke, she still lacked a lot of experience that Luke definitely had. She knew that he would never judge her, but that never stopped the nerves that festered.
“All shy all of a sudden, Bambi?” He mocked, hand around her neck tightening as he bit down on her ear lobe, gently tugging at it before letting out a breath, “All big and brave, teasing Sir, aren’t you? If you’re going to start it, then you’re going to finish it. On your knees. Now.”
Releasing a shaky breath, the girl clambered out of Luke’s lap dropping to the floor, in a similar position to the one she had been in minutes before, only in a more sexual manner. Her lips met the tip of his cock, tongue lightly swiping across the base.
His hand grabbed firmly onto the hair on the back of her head, holding her steady as she got used to the feeling of his cock in her mouth before thrusting against her. She gagged as it hit the back of her throat, sending vibrations up him, releasing a deep moan from his throat.
“Suck, little girl,” Luke commanded deeply, leaving no room for argument as the smaller girl abided to his command, tongue swiping over him as she reached up to cover the last part of his cock with her hand.
Yet, she didn’t get much further when a ringing sounded through the room, Luke groaning but ultimately pulling away from the girl who stayed on the floor, watching Luke as he grabbed his phone.
“What?” He gritted his teeth lightly, trying to keep his frustration at bay after being interrupted.
He sighed softly, not looking at the small girl with furrowed eyebrows still on the floor as he pulled his jeans back up, clambering to get shoes on and getting ready to leave, hanging the phone up.
“Luke what’s going on?”
“Gang shit, Bambi. I gotta get going, be ready for six, we’re meeting Cal, Ash, and Mike later, remember?” He offered her no more words, but she can tell he isn’t angry at her, just due to their interruption.
However, she can’t help but be frustrated at the interruption, waiting until after Luke leaves to huff and puff about it before starting to get ready.
. . .
“Luke has this old penguin fan account on Instagram from like seven years ago. There’s this one picture on there with him with a penguin hat-”
“Cal, stop,” Luke interrupted Cal swiftly, an arm going around his smaller girlfriend’s waist who looked far too amused by the embarrassing things about Luke that Cal was telling.
“No, no, Calum please keep going. Please,” The girl begged, feeling very comfortable around the Maori boy. They were pleasant, to her at least, and so far they had made her feel very comfortable and very much at home. It was hard to believe that the people joking with her where infamous mobsters, ones that were feared all across the city, and state.
They had met in Ashton’s house, who she had already met before, at six o’clock. It turns out gang members like to be punctual, or maybe it was only these ones.
Luke was in a bit of a hurry once he arrived back home, with no time to finish what he and his girl had started before he had to leave in a hurry, leaving her oh so frustrated. This was only magnified when she saw him afterward, ready to head to Ash’s in that pale pink silk button-up that only seemed like it would suit him; like it was made specifically for him.
Maybe it was.
Luke was never shy of customized clothing, cars, or anything he wanted honestly. If you have the money, why not? Was always his answer when she asked why he seemed to wear all of these expensive items. If it wasn’t custom-made, it was a high-quality designer that he wore, she rarely ever found him in anything that didn’t smell of cash and high-class, -far too expensive but albeit intoxicating- cologne.
This money of Luke’s also happened to extend to her also. He was never shy of picking her up a few things, letting her have his card for shopping and now, he started going out shopping with her too. He didn’t look like the type that would go out with his ‘girlfriend’ or anyone, but in the case of her, he followed her around like a lost puppy; willing to hold her bags, let her drain his bank account. Not that she did, anyway. She was still mindful, even if Luke had more money than he knew what to do with.
“Nah, can’t. Don’t want Luke to kill me for embarrassing me in front of his precious little girlfriend,” Calum teased lightly, shaking his head as his eyes darted to meet Luke’s baby blues. Truthfully, Luke could pretend to be annoyed at Cal and the rest for exposing his old penguin Instagram account but he was just glad to see them getting along with the girl that owned his heart.
She was the first girlfriend that his best friends seemed to approve of. He didn’t normally bring his girlfriends to meet them, but the ones he did, the boys he called his best friends didn’t usually like them. For the first time, Luke could actually see a future with the girl in front of him, beamingly smiling as Cal and Michael joke about with her and laughing at their attempts of humor.
God, he loved her.
“So, do you think they like me?” She asked the moment they got home, the door shut behind them. Luke turned around, staring at the wide-eyed girl with a small smile on his lips.
Did she seriously not realize how much they liked her? Especially with how much joking that they had done with her, he was certain that she would have realized but then again, she wasn’t the most self-assured person when it comes to new people. He nodded his head, “Yeah, Bambi. They really liked you.”
Luke would never get over the way her eyes sparkled, his smile only growing. She looked amazing in that red silky dress that he had bought her, and he looked just as good in the coral colored button-up he was wearing.
Their lips met softly, Luke bending down slightly to meet her lips as the girl went up on her tiptoes, bare feet on the top of Luke’s shoes. He didn’t mind, in fact, he barely even realized as he swiped his tongue across her bottom lip for access which she quickly gave him. Her hands wrapped around his neck, one entangling in his blond curls, while his went around her waist and one under her ass, lifting her up.
Her legs wrapped around his waist, lips never breaking away from his as she moaned into the kiss. She pushed herself closer to him as the kiss heated up, eyes closed as Luke tried his best to navigate the way to their bedroom. Thankfully, even with his eyes partially closed and completely distracted by the soft lips on his, he managed to get there, fumbling with the doorknob before kicking the door open.
Luke pulled away quickly to get a breath, now at the edge of the bed as his mouth went to the side of her face, pressing kisses along her neck before whispering in a sinfully sultry voice, “Let’s finish what we started earlier, huh?”
With that, she was placed down on the bed, staring at Luke with a glaze in her eyes, lust, lips slightly swollen as he pushed her dress up, nudging her underwear to the side. His fingers ghosted over her pussy, making her take a ragged intake of breath. He was on top of her, watching her as she awaited every movement of his fingers, completely helpless under his touch.
“So wet for me, baby,” He murmured, pressing a few chaste kisses against the base of her neck as he rubbed her slit. She didn’t reply just yet, whining lightly when he slowed down his movements, coming to a stop, “Tell me what you want baby.”
“You, Lu. I want you, sir,” Her words flooded out of her mouth quickly, the aching between her legs becoming too much. If Luke didn’t do something about it soon then she would have to. She stared up at his smirking face above her. His fingers pulled away from her, making her whine as he reached for his belt, skillfully unbuckling it and letting his cock spring free from its confines.
He looked up at her as he repositioned himself, her squirming with need beneath him before he lined his tip at her entrance, baby blues meeting her eyes, “You sure?”
She nodded vigorously in return, but Luke didn’t move, commanding lightly, “Words, baby.”
“Please Luke, I’m sure. Please fuck me.” He swatted her thigh at the sound of the swear falling from her lips but obliged nonetheless, plunging deep into her letting out a moan, her strangled moan following behind.
He plunged in once again, hitting a spot that made her whimper and moan at the same time, hands reaching around to his back, clawing on the now exposed skin. Luke’s hips are flushed against hers as he goes deep inside of her once again, both moaning.
“Fuck, Bambi,”
Luke’s pace quickened, thrusts becoming sloppier as he continued to thrust into her, hitting her sweet spot over and over, moans filling the room with small pleads from her and soft curses from him.
Then a phone went off. Luke froze inside of her, and she groaned, sweaty, a mess, and incredibly sexually frustrated. She could feel Luke sitting inside of her; how big he was. She thought that he was going to ignore the phone call, to continue something that they were robbed of earlier. He wasn’t really going to let them be interrupted twice today, was he?
He reached over to the bedside table, picking his phone up and looking at the caller ID before sighing. He pulled out of her, baby blues looking at her with a frown, “I need to take this.”
“Luke,” It was a plead. For him to stay with her, to let them finish what they started. She shuffled lightly until she was sitting in front of him, on her knees. Her hand went to the side of his face, caressing it gently as she put her face at his neck, “Stay with me, Sir. I need you.”
He knew exactly what she was trying to do, but he wasn’t going to fall for it. He pulled away from her, gripping onto her side as a warning with his free hand, “No, Bambi.”
His voice was low, a warning for her to stop what she was doing as he sent her a pointed look. He didn’t even let her make another move or get another word in before he was back in his jeans and walking out of the room, leaving her alone.
The seconds that she was alone turned into minutes, and those minutes turned into ten, then fifteen. She shifted uncomfortably, still on edge and incredibly frustrated. It didn’t seem like Luke was coming back as he had left without saying goodbye or telling her where he was going to be or how long. Was this all because she had tried to get him to stay?
Well, if he wasn’t going to get back, she would have to take stuff into her own hands. Leaning back, her hand reached her own clit, rubbing desperately, basking in the feeling once again. This time, she would get the job done.
Her fingers slipped inside of her, curling into her, moans softly filtering out of her lips. She was close, her fingers covered in her own slick as she continued to curl her hands into herself, soft pants falling from her lips as she spread her legs more to get a better angle, trying to go deeper.
Her hands would never be as good as Luke’s though, her small fingers not holding a torch to his digits. He knew everything that made her squirm, even better than she did, he had her all decoded, knew how to navigate her better than anyone else ever could.
“Baby I need to get-” Luke opened the door, stopping when his eyes met her figure on the middle of the bed, fingers inside of her as soft breaths fell from her lips. Her head titled back, eyes lidded as he froze on the spot before a smirk made its way onto his face.
“Really?” He asked incredulously, sauntering up to the bed before grabbing onto her wrist, pulling her fingers out of her desperate cunt making her whine. Her eyes met his, which never strayed, even after he brought her hand up to his mouth and swirling his tongue around her slick-covered digits.
“Lu-”
“Quiet,” He shut her up quickly, voice hard and commanding, something that made nerves bundle in her stomach and turned her on even more. He stood up again, sauntering over to the dresser before pulling a belt from the top of it, grabbing her hands and confining them with the thick leather, “Since you can’t keep your hands off of that pretty little pussy of mine, I guess we’re going to have to do something about that.”
Luke pulled her up to the headboard, hooping the leather around there and tightening it. When he let go, she pulled against the leather restraints, only to find her hands unable to move from their position at the headboard.
“So desperate to cum, baby? Well, you’ll be desperate to stop after I make you come over and over until there’s no more cum left in your body and you're writhing beneath me. Do you understand me, baby?”
“Yes Sir,” She whimpered out in return, nodding her head as she breathed heavily, watching Luke’s hand as it trailed teasingly down her side until it reached her pussy, a finger flicking up and down it, making her hips jerk up.
“But first of all, I need to go deal with the drug run. See you later, Bambi.”
And with a smirk on his face, Luke left his girlfriend there, tied up to the bed, whining for him to come back. And he would, and when he did, she wouldn’t be walking for days afterward.
April- 1996 - Hogwarts
Y/n was waiting on the tribune next to the quidditch field. It was already getting darker now. An orange glow spreading over the field. The sun was going down already. She was sitting there for two hours now.
She promised herself she would stop waiting after an hour but here she was, still hoping he would show up.
It was her birthday, it was her fucking birthday. And this wasn't the first time. It started with little dates, he forgot them sometimes but y/n didn't mind, he made it up every time.
He hurt her by forgetting those things all the time. But it was Fred Weasley after all. You knew this was coming when he became your boyfriend. You even got used to it. He was always busy. That's just how Fred is.
And here she was again. Trying to not let the tears of disappointment fall down on her cheeks. She felt miserable and decided to finally call it a night, going back to her dorm. She was exhausted.
Walking down the corridors, she saw Fred. He was just sitting there, laughing with George. That's when it was clear, he wasn't even late, he just forgot.
He saw her and smiled, walking her way, but she turned on her heals immediately. "Y/n!" he screamed confused. He followed her and his long legs made it easy to catch up.
She didn't answer, finding it much harder to hold back her tears now. "Y/n? Hey? What's wrong?" he asked.
Y/n stopped abruptly. "You really don't know?" she hissed.
A confused look formed on his face. "What do you mean"? he stammered. A tear fell down her cheek and his face was full of guilt now, without even knowing what he did.
"You forgot", you snapped, "again!"
He was thinking for one minute. It really took him one minute. What was wrong with that boy?!
Suddenly a wave of realization hit him. "Fuck." he squealed.
Y/n didn't need this shit right now, and ran away before he could say something. Making him run after her. "NO y/n wait! I'm so sorry, I won't forget next time, I promise, I'm so sorry" he begged while grabbing her arm, pulling her closer to him.
"You say that every time Fred" she sighed, another tear fell down.
It broke Fred's heart. It really did. He didn't mean to forget this things, he didn't want to hurt you. His mind was just so full all the time. So many things were going on in those brains of his.
"I mean it, I'm sorry, I love you y/n" he assured.
And she fell for it, like she always did. It happened every time. Fred said things that made her melt, and she forgave him. It was nothing new. Because how could she not? The sweet boy didn't mean to hurt her, she knew that, everyone knew that.
But still, her friends warned her. There was no future with a boy like this. It couldn't stay like this. So she swore to herself this was the last time. She made that clear to Fred too.
Because what if he's the love of her life? Her future? This was her last year after all, y/n’s future was right in front of her. What if Fred was her future? You both couldn't give that up.
May- 1996 - Hogwarts
Everything was alright.
They were okay.
And Fred hasn’t been late for a whole month, sounds like nothing special but to him and her it was.
This weekend y/n was going home, and not just home, but with Fred.
After a year it was time for him to meet her parents. Fred claimed he was the perfect son in law, so he didn’t hesitate to agree. Y/n was nervous and excited at the same time.
Ready in her dorm, with a portkey, she had her favourite sundress on. She was waiting for Fred but he didn’t show up. Okay it was only 15 minutes now, but with their little history it made her nervous. She was absolutely sure Fred wouldn’t forget this. He can’t forget this.
20 minutes later she was still waiting.
No. This couldn’t be true. It just couldn’t be.
And then, she found a note under her potionsbook. After reading only one word, she was already furious, a growing heat filling her cheeks.
Dear y/n, love
I remembered. I swear. But I just won’t make it. I’m not feeling okay and I think I might have a fever or something. I don’t want to make you or your parents sick, so I’m staying in my dorm.
I love you, kisses Fred x
She didn’t really know what to think. She was so disappointed, again.
But she could’t blame her boyfriend for feeling sick. Although she had her doubts, what if this wasn’t true, maybe he lied because he did forget it?
No, no, she had to trust him. Fred wouldn’t lie to her. So she grabbed the portkey and went to visit her parents.
Alone.
-
When she traveled back to Hogwarts it was late already, past midnight. Y/n hoped Umbridge wouldn’t catch her.
The corridors were empty, completely silent. This was not unusual. Most of the students were already asleep this late on a Sunday.
Unexpectedly, she heard gigles and laughs coming from around the corner. Did it come from the library? It couldn’t be. Not at almost 1 am.
She went closer to listen. Y/n placed her ear on the door. Was it... Was it...? No. No.
Did she hear Fred’s voice?
She really hoped she was just imagining this. Maybe she should trust Fred more.
But just checking won’t hurt right?
So she tried to open the door. It was locked.
“Alohamora” she whispered.
What she saw broke her heart into a million pieces.
Angelina sat on a table, with Fred extremely close to her, giggling. George and Lee were there too.
She couldn’t believe her own eyes. Looking silently in Fred’s shocked ones.
“Fuck” he sighed. “Y/n-“ he tried.
But she cut him off before he could say anything. “No, I don’t wanna hear another silly explanation from you, it’s enough, I don’t want to see you ever again” she screamed with tears in her eyes, making her vision blurry.
Y/n ran away, faster than ever so Fred couldn’t catch up this time.
“Stop!! Stop!” she heard him scream behind her.
She ran and ran, not even knowing were to.
“Let me explain” another scream followed.
That’s when she ended up in a corridor she didn’t know. A dead end. Ofcourse.
She gave up and stopped. Fred ended in front of her, breathing loudly, trying to catch his breath.
“Baby I-“ he tried
“Don’t call me baby, this is over” y/n cut him off.
Fred was speachless, for the first time in history. He didn’t realise this truly happened. He knew what he did wasn’t okay, but he never expected her to actually broke up with him. It just didn’t occur in his mind this was a possibility.
“But.. but...” he stuttered. “I swear, I can explain, what you’ve just seen, it wasn’t what you think it is. I’ve told you about the shoppe George and I want to open, right? It’s actually going to happen. We’re leaving hogwarts. That’s what we were doing, we were planning things. Tomorrow we’re going to blow up Umbridge, no not literally blow up, but with lots of firework! And then we’re going to open the shoppe together. It’s my dream y/n!” he rambled excited.
Y/n sighed. Understanding why he did this, but it didn’t change a thing.
“That actually makes things worse Fred. I’m happy your dream will come true. But you’re leaving and I’m finishing my year. When are you going to have time for me if you run a shop? You didn’t even have time for me now.” she cried.
Both of them were crying now. Knowing the break up was really going to happen. Fred wanted to keep fighting. But he knew she might be right.
A little sob left his mouth, something he never did before. She was right. He truly loved her but he couldn’t give her the happy future she deserved. He wasn’t right for her, he didn’t treat her the way she should’ve been treated. And the idea broke him. And that’s when she walked away.
They didn’t see each other again afterwards.
The next day, y/n laid in her bed when she heard fireworks, knowing what happened. She couldn’t go outside and watch...
Happy screams and laughs filled the castle. And that’s when she realised Fred and George were gone now. It was reality now. They won’t come back. Although a little part of her hoped they would stay. A little part of her thought Fred would come to her, begging her to stay with him. But she guessed he just didn’t love her enough.
After all the times Fred broke her heart, she was kind off used to it. But those heartbreaks couldn’t ever overcome this one.
August - 1996 - Diagon Alley
The summer was almost over, y/n graduated two months ago. The heartbreak still hurted but she was better now. She still didn’t know what to do now that she’s graduated.
Hermione decided you two had to go shopping. “It’ll make you happier” she stated like it was an actual fact. Y/n couldn’t say no of course.
Y/n’s breath hitched. A big clone of Fred’s face right in front of her (or George). This had to be their joke shoppe. God, it was more impressive than she expected. Guess you should never underestimate the twins.
“Let’s go inside y/n!” Hermione announced excited, grabbing her arm trying to puch her inside.
“Oh no no no no no, I don’t think that’s a great idea” she hesitated.
“Don’t worry, it’s so busy, Fred won’t see you” she promised her. Y/n sighed. She really didn’t want to go inside. She’d love to see the shoppe, but seeing Fred...
Whatever, it was true. It was so busy so Fred won’t ever notice her.
They entered, y/n was surprised, it was wonderful. Fred and George must have worked so hard to get to this point. God, she loved the place.
It brought back memories. All those joke products, most of them were used on her, she remembered. Fred thought it was hilarious to prank her literally all the time, being proud because it was something he invented himself. She couldn’t be mad about it, it made him so happy.
The place even smelled like him.
Y/n took a deep breath trying to gather all of the smell, in hope it would stay in her nose, so she could remember it back home.
She closed her eyes and imagined how it could be, if they didn’t broke up. How she would probably come here everyday to say hi, how she would watch Fred all day doing his job.
And then... she saw him. In his uniform, he stood there proudly on the stairs above her. Smiling happily, seeing all those laughing people because if his work.
He was happy. Fred missed y/n but he was happy. He thought a lot of all the things he did wrong. Although he didn’t really have time to worry.
Y/n sighed, it’s been months. Her heart was glowing inside her chest. She didn’t even feel sad any more. This was what her boyfriend always dreamt of. Her ex-boyfriend.
She turned around deciding it was not smart to look at the beautiful boy, the boy who still made her knees go weak.
Fred’s smell was more vibrant than before now. Almost like he was right in front of me.
Ow, love potions, of course.
Of course she still smelled Fred in it.
“I smell honey, flowers and vanilla soap” she heard a familiar voice whispering in her ear, almost making her jump.
“F-fred, hey” she stuttered, in shock by the fact he’s standing right in front of her.
“You look great, changed your hair” he smiled. It was true, y/n cut her hair a little shorter and decided to give it a lighter colour for the summer. The typical breakup haircut.
“Fred do you want to... talk... please?” she asked, knowing it wasn’t a great idea. She wanted to just run away after she realized what she said.
“We could go upstairs, talk in my appartment”
October- 1996 - Diagon Alley
“Come on darling, George opened up already!” Fred screamed running through his kitchen while jumping, trying to get his pants on. He grabbed an apple as breakfast.
Y/n ran to the kitchen too. “I thought you changed the being late thing” y/n joked, yes they joked about it now.
“You were the one holding me up this time” he smiled adding a wink. “You just can’t resist me in the bedroom” y/n answered daring.
She grabbed him by his collar, pressing a kiss on his lips. “I have no choice with the sexiest girlfriend in the word” Fred grinned, pressing kisses all over your face, making you giggle.
“Baby, you’re wearing your uniform backwards” he laughed.
Y/n worked at the shoppe now too.
When she asked Fred to talk, they actually talked for hours. They talked about what went wrong in their relationship, about what they had been doing in those months they broke up, talked about how they still had feelings,...
And after two hours they made up. Both being happier than ever, deciding they learned from their break up.
Fred asked her to come live in his apartment and work in their shop too. Y/n didn’t hesitate for a moment. She designed their boxes or packages and talked to costumers. But most of all she distracted Fred by rolling her uniforme skirt up and bowing down to ‘grab’ something. Sometimes he took her back to the appartment because he couldn’t hold back anymore.
Y/n now knew, the breakup was necessary. You both learned. And now you’re happier than ever.
Because after all, Fred was your future.
I'll Make It Okay for You - Part 2
Pairing: Harvey Specter x Reader
Word count: 2,765
Warnings: Discussion, yelling, some angst, mentions of drugs, drug abuse, drug withdrawal, rehab facility and insecurities/self-sabotage (very, very slightly, tho).
Summary: You can read Part 1 here. What happens when (y/n) (y/l/n), Harvey’s secret crush and a junior partner at his firm, openly defies him in front of everyone?
Disclaimer: I don’t own the show Suits, or its characters, also not associated with it in any way or know anyone involved with it.
A/N: I think that this turned out better than Part 1? As always, I’m not sure, though. Just to make it clear here, I’m still on season 4 of Suits, so didn’t wanna get too much into any canonic details, self-preservation, lol. Anyhow, I hope you like it, and, ofc, feedback is always appreciated.
(y/n) = (your name) (y/l/n) = (your last name) (y/n/n) = (your nickname)
Tumblr media
You and Harvey stayed in the embrace for a while, as you sunk in all the comfort emanating from him. He'd even started stroking your hair. The whole situation felt so intimate, that, by the time the two of you finally pulled away from each other, it was almost as if there was this cloud of embarrassment hovering around you both.
"Err… I'm s- sorry, I shouldn't have, um-" You started saying nervously but he cut you off.
"No, it's okay. And, um, I'm really glad you told me what happened… It's definitely a lot to deal with. And I was a complete asshole this morning. So I'm sorry." For a moment both you and Harvey just smiled at each other, sitting there in a comfortable silence. Until he decided to break it: "So, um, did you get her a lawyer? I'm assuming you wouldn't wanna represent her yourself because it could be problematic…"
"No, uh, yeah. It would be problematic.” You corrected him. “But the most I could do was make the cops get her a public defender, cause I called my dad when I was on the way there and he just wouldn't have me paying for anything else. He is a retired cop, so the pension isn't too great, the pride though… And I’m already covering Lisa's treatment because it's her best shot, but this…"
"And he wants to teach her a lesson." He completed what you were trying to explain.
"Yes."
"And you don't agree with him?" Harvey asked, almost reading your mind.
"Well, it's complicated. Because when I see what Kat's doing with her life… I get just as frustrated as my parents, and I really do want what's best for Henry." The fact that your sister wasn't what's best for her son was only implied. "But she's my little sister, you know?" As he nodded in understanding, you went on: "I wanna help her, but, at least for now, I think I'm just gonna wait and see if mom and dad change their minds… Which I think they will do! I mean, my dad was a cop for years. He knows what those places do to people. As much as we all desperately want her to get her shit together, I don't think that prison is where she'll succeed in doing so." You finished, voice filled with concern.
"Well, I don't think I would be as lenient, and compassionate, as you are, but I do see your point." Harvey told with a sympathetic smile. "Besides, she is your sister. And, trust me, I know what it is like to go out of your way to keep a sibling outta trouble." He added with a tired sigh, making you wonder how much you really knew about the man sitting in front of you.
"Either way, now I don't see much that I can do for her at the moment. Gonna try and have her attorney keep me posted, of course, but…"
"Yeah…"
"I just… I can't help but feel guilty about all of this, you know?" You said, after having stood up and turned your back on him, finally letting on what was bothering you the most to the other lawyer.
"No, not really, I don't." He stated simply while you just looked back at him with a shocked expression on your face. "I mean, there's not a single approach on this that makes me think you're to blame for anything." He explained himself, standing up as well this time.
"Harvey, I-"
"No, (y/n), let me stop you right there. What I see here is a family going through a rough situation with one of its members. Then three of the other members just try to do everything they can to get out of the initial situation, while another one just keeps making more problems for her family. And, right now? Today? You walked out on your bosses, risking a lot, to take care of your nephew. So, tell me again, how is it that any of these things happening to your sister are your fault when you’ve done nothing but help everyone in that goddamn family of yours, huh?" He asked you in a sarcastic tone.
“Well, it is very much my fault because I’m her big sister! I should have been there for her! Advising her, helping her, just, just being her friend…” You confessed your regrets to Harvey. “But, instead, I was too busy making my career.”
“And what the hell’s wrong with that? Look, I’m a big brother too. I get it. Ever since we were kids our parents imbued us with the role of ‘the responsible one’, always telling us to look after the youngest… But, hey! If you just threw all of your work up in the air and left running every time your sister had a run-in with a problem, you wouldn’t have made it this far! Not in this field anyway!” He practically spit the words in your face, going to battle with your self-sabotage, which was a very new side of you for him. “And you’re a freaking great lawyer! One of the best that firm’s ever seen. So don’t be sorry that you didn’t sacrifice all of that for being better than the amazing sister you probably already were!”
“You simply can’t know that.” You stated in a low voice, not really knowing how to respond to everything Harvey had just told you. He really thought all that about you?
“Yes, I can!” He yelled back, stepping closer towards you. “I can know that for a fact, because,” he started again, his face pretty close to yours this time, “because, I’m beginning to finally understand, even if just a little bit, who you really are. And because I always notice all the little things when it comes to you, which, in my experience, is how you actually get to know someone. You know, the details.” He told you in the sweetest tone, giving you a charming-Specter-like smile, he leaned closer, if that was even possible, God, was he gonna kiss you?
You had to pull away slightly, just enough for him to get the message. And, boy, how you regretted it! Sure, normally, you’d have a ton of bad things to say about him, but after that night… It wasn’t really that bad of an idea, the one of Harvey kissing you. No, nuh-uh! What were you thinking?! If much, you and Harvey were beginning a friendship there! And you couldn’t, or wouldn’t, let some ridiculous thoughts about how great he smelled rob you from that opportunity! Your inner struggle was interrupted by him saying:
“Hum, I- I should probably go, right? It’s, um, it’s getting pretty late…” He said nervously. You should be relieved right now. Because this assures that things between you and Harvey (your new friend?) aren’t gonna go too off the railroads anytime soon.
“Yeah, yeah. I’ll, uh, I’ll walk you to the door.” So why is it that you sounded almost disappointed when you said that? “You know what they say, you gotta walk people to the door if you ever want them to come back…” You joked a little, trying to lighten the mood.
“Yeah, right.” He shot back simply, with a small smile on his lips. “Bye, (y/n). Have a good night.”
“Thanks, you too.” You watched him turning around to leave when you remembered there was something else that Harvey deserved to hear from you. “Uh, Harvey!” You called out.
“Yeah?” He asked, turning back around to face you. And before you could even think it through one more time, you were already jumping in his arms, wrapping him in a tight hug.
“Thank you. For tonight. For everything.” You told him, as he slowly put his arms around your waist, hugging you back.
“It was no problem, (y/n), really. That’s what friends are for.” And, just like that, your day ⎼ turned into night ⎼ had gone from Earth to Hell, and, now, to Heaven.
                                                       ---
Around 7:30 in the next morning, as you gathered some of your work stuff, you heard someone knocking on the door. Who could it possibly be this time? You asked yourself while walking there to open it.
Once again you were surprised to be met by none other than Harvey Your-New-Friend Specter standing at your doorstep. With your supposedly locked-up little sister in tow. What the hell?
“Before you say anything,” he started, “this time I come bearing gifts!” He practically beamed at you, as Kat threw herself in your arms.
“Yeah- yeah, um, I can see that.” You stated, still very confused with the whole situation.
“Thank you so much for sending your friend to bail me out, sis!” Your sister squealed out. She looked so pale and thin; winter-like clothes on, even though it was only the beginning of the fall; and she was shaking. Effects of a rushed withdrawal, you guessed. “You’re the best! Now, where’s my little baby?” She asked you, as if everything that had happened was nothing.
“He’s, uh, he’s in a day-care facility. The best in the city, you have nothing to worry about.” You informed her, who seemed rather relieved to hear that news. “Can you, uh, can you please stay here for a minute while I talk to my, uh, my friend in the office, Kat?” You asked her with a calm smile on your lips.
“Yeah, of course. I’m not gonna break anything I promise!” She told you, sounding a lot like a wicked child.
“No, um, I know you won’t. If you want something to eat, please, help yourself.” You assured her, motioning to the kitchen.
“Oh, no! I’m not hungry! Mr.Specter took me to a diner before we came here.” She let you know, which just made you even more surprised, and confused.
“Oh, he did? Well, that was very nice of yours, Harvey. So, come with me?” You asked him in a sort of mockery tone while pointing to the room he’d just been in, the night before.
As soon as the two of you stepped into the office, Harvey started desperately: “(y/n), before you come at me for not running this by you first, just, please, hear me out for a second.” He pleaded with you, to which you just nodded your head. “So, last night. I heard what you said about your dad, and you don’t have to worry about paying me anything. I’m representing your sister as a friend of yours.”
“Wait a second. You mean you’re taking this pro-bono? Harvey, you do that and the whole firm is gonna know. And you promised.” You quickly accused him, even though you were very thankful for the way he just stepped up to solve one of your problems.
“I know! Let me finish, will you?” You nodded again while muttering an apology. “I’m not going to break your trust. And I’m not handling this pro-bono. The only people I’ll have to loop in are Jessica and Donna. And you know they won’t say anything.” He told you, but you were still a bit confused. “And, before you even ask, no, that doesn’t mean that either you or your family will be paying me anything. Also, I got your sister a spot in a top-of-line, very discrete, rehab facility, I have a friend over there, who said we can drop her off at any time. I just, um, figured that it’d be the best if she got professional help this time. Plus, on my talk with her, she agreed to sign papers that make you and your parents Henry’s temporary guardians. I really think that Kat wants to turn her life around this time, (y/n). She was very- Did I do something wrong? Because, err, you know me… I always find it easier to ask for forgiveness instead of permission, but, this time, I really did think that this would make you happy...” He trailed off with a confused look on his face while scratching the back of his neck
“Oh, I am happy.” You told him, still looking absolutely stunned.
“Then why, uh, why don’t you look happy?” He asked, sounding a bit hurt.
“It’s just that… I’m kind of surprised. How did you even think of all those things?”
“I, uh, it’s like I said yesterday, I notice things about you. And I really listened to what you told me last night. So I just started thinking about ways that I could solve this thing for you, ways that I could make you happy again throughout all of this storm.” He told you and it had to be the sweetest thing you’d heard from Harvey (hell, from anyone!) in your entire life. “But I understand that I overstepped, and I’m-” But since he just wouldn’t stop talking anymore, you had to cut him off in order to shut him up.
His eyes were in absolute shock for a moment, as he just stood reactionless in your grip. But then he got the message and pulled you closer, grabbing your waist tightly while your hands stood firmly wrapped around his neck. You were pretty sure that neither one of you was still breathing at that point, but you didn’t care. Because, God, his mouth tasted so good in yours, it was like they’d been made to kiss each other. The despair both of you were investing in the kiss was huge, but it was turning into a calmer kind of fire, as the air started becoming too necessary again. He pulled your mouths apart for a minute, you resting your forehead on his shoulder.
“You know…” He started, still catching his breath. “When I mentioned you coming at me, I hadn’t really envisioned this.” He joked, a victory smile on his lips.
“Ah, well, you know how upset it makes me when you simply won’t shut up.” You shot back with a shrug of your shoulders, smiling at him.
“Huh. Wish you would’ve shut me up like this every other time.” He mocked, earning a smack in the arm from you. “Ouch! Why’d do that?”
“Because you were being a dickhead, ruining our moment.” You gave him a fake irritated glance.
“Oh, c’mon! Tell me you didn’t think about it too!” He challenged, and you didn’t feel like giving him that kind of win at the moment, so you just pulled him back in for another kiss. One that may have lasted a little longer than it should have, considering that you two still needed to take Kat to rehab and, then, go to work so you could try and save your job. But, what could you do if he, and his body, and his mouth, and his eyes, and his everything were the only things that mattered?
As he rested his chin on top of your head ⎼ that was laid on his chest ⎼, you looked up, pulling away a little, him making sure you wouldn’t fall off the small couch. “Thank you, Harvey. For everything you did. For listening. For being here right now. For everything.”
“Don’t thank me, (y/n). You’ll never have to thank me for anything. I just want you to promise me one thing.” He stated seriously.
“What?” You asked, a bit hesitant.
“That, from now on, you’ll tell me all about it, every time you have a problem.” That was easy enough, you thought. But, you being you, simply had to ask.
“So that you can be here for me?” You questioned him with puppy eyes.
He just chuckled lightly. “Well, that too. But, mostly, so that I can make it ⎼ whatever it is ⎼ okay for you.” Your heart was on the edge of not being to take it any longer. What could have you possibly done to deserve that man?
“Okay, I promise.” You said, watching his expression begin to soften already. “But, only if you promise me the same. Because I wanna make it okay for you too.” While you thought Harvey was simply gonna say yes, he started laughing at you.
“Always the kick-ass corporate lawyer, I see.”
“Would you even have me any other way?” You joked back, more relaxed now.
“Yes, of course! I’d have you in any way you came to me. Which is why I promise too.” With that, you didn’t have any other choice but to kiss him again, because crying over the fact that Harvey Surprisingly-Romantic Specter was an absolute cinnamon roll was not an option.
She Doesn’t Like Wearing Socks to Bed
George Weasley x Muggleborn!fem!reader & Cedric x Muggleborn!fem!reader & minor Ginny Weasley x Muggleborn!fem!reader Trigger Warnings: It is very sad, um I think just heartbreak Summary: All you wanted was his time. Now all he want’s is you. a/n: This one took a while lol. I want to thank @myalupinblack for beta-ing this fic (is that how you say that?) and for giving amazing feedback! Love you all, I hope you enjoy reading! <3  -  It is also loosely based on ‘When I Was Your Man’ by Bruno Mars
You had never planned to fall for the brave fiery headed Gryffindor. No one expected it, but for some reason you and George just worked. Well you did, recently things had gone astray. And it truly wasn’t anyone’s fault. George had become preoccupied with quidditch and planning for his shop with his brother. You were busy with tutoring alongside Cedric Diggory and studying for your exams. The worst part was that you saw it all happening, you watched yourself drift away from him. And you watched him leave you behind.
Spotting the red head down the hall you dashed off wrapping your hand around his waiting for him to finish talking. His hand felt almost limp in yours.
“George, can we talk this evening after supper?” “Um I don’t know if I can. I have quidditch practice and then catch up on homework.” he huffed out digging through his bag. “Well can’t you take off quidditch practice today? I mean you attend every single one and then practice even more.” You knew this would happen, that’s all that happens anymore ‘Oh sorry darling, I’m busy.’ “Darling, I can’t and you know that.” he turned to look at you, you saw the dark circles forming under his eyes. “It is important though.”
“Y/N I said I can’t.”  he began walking off. “GEORGE FABIAN WEASLEY!” spinning around to face you, his eyes were wide and his face was a bit red. “Meet me in the library at 7:00pm tonight.”
“Okay, I will see you then.” getting ready to go again. “Repeat it back to me so I know you remember.”
“7:00pm tonight in the library.”
You had eaten dinner thinking of what to say. Should you tell George that you love him but just not like you used to? Do you tell him you can feel the strain between yourselves? Does he feel the strain? “Hey Y/N!” Cedric smiled as he sat down across from you. “Are you alright?” “Yeah, I’m actually about to go on a walk. Would you like to join me?” He smiles even brighter and you can feel your stomach clench. Collecting your things, you and him drop your stuff off in your dormitories before heading out on your walk. With it being the autumn season it began to get dark and cold outside very quickly.
“Here, take my sweater.” Pulling on the sweatshirt you examined how it was well worn. The Hufflepuff patch was tearing off and the inside was slowly wearing away. Yet it still felt like the safest place on earth. George's arms used to feel like that. Simply waving away the thought you trudged on with Cedric.
As it drew closer to 7:00 you steered yourself and Cedric towards the library. You had felt somewhat guilty for enjoying the presence of Cedric. But at the same time did George even care? Trying to shed the sweater quickly Cedric was quick to pull it back up over your shoulders. “Keep it, you know how cold the library gets. Anyways we have tutoring tomorrow and you can return it then, if you want.” pulling you in for a quick hug. As he walks out the door you begin thinking about if he held you just a little bit longer. Sitting there alone with your thoughts was not beneficial, you began to think about all the time you and George would sneak out to the Black Lake and watch the stars. Or the times he would randomly burst into your classroom in 4th year telling the teacher he needed your help with school work; only to drag to a dark corner of the library and shower you with his love.
But then you thought about all the times Cedric randomly took you to Hogsmeade “for a break so your mind power doesn’t deteriorate too much.” When he would sit next to you during the quidditch games he wasn’t playing in. And how during those times he would hold onto your hand or had an arm over your shoulder. You and Cedric had both convinced yourselves that it was simply something friends did, and for a while that was all it was. You let your mind wander for a bit before selecting a book to inevitably get stuck on the same line.
It was 7:30 by now, George was supposed to be here. But he was nowhere in sight, it wasn’t unusual for him to show up late. So you let it slip. Then the time slowly slipped closer to 8 and you were worrying, what if he fell? Or maybe something got a hold of him. In such a place as Hogwarts that wasn’t very uncommon. Then as if he could hear your worried thoughts, there was George Weasley, running towards you. In his quidditch uniform, a sweaty gross mess. “I’m so sorry I am late. I didn’t think-”
“That’s exactly it George. You didn’t think!” you scoffed feeling your heart strings being pulled. “I asked you to do one thing, one simple thing! I asked you to not go to practice and meet me instead! But it seems you cannot even do that! I wanted to talk to you about our relationship, I needed to talk to you and have an actual conversation. Not a simple hello while passing in the hallways! I feel as though I don’t even have a boyfriend anymore George, this is taking a toll on me!” you whisper yelled
George stood there standing dumbfounded as you started crying, what was he supposed to do? It was quidditch season, and he couldn’t just skip practice. Looking over your broken figure, he wanted to hold you in his arms and make it better. But then he saw the emblem on the sweatshirt you were wearing, and a new found anger was incited in him. “Well it looks like you haven’t had any problems finding company.” he says sourly. It takes you a minute to register what he said. Looking down at your sweatshirt you find the famous Hufflepuff badger. “Did you just imply that I was cheating on you?” your voice was calm, almost too calm. It made George take a step back. “I-”
“YOU UTTER, INSUFFERABLE, PIECE OF TRASH GEORGE WEASLEY!!!! You know what SCREW YOU! I WAS GOING TO TRY AND FIX THIS BUT WE ARE OVER, I HOPE IT WAS WORTH IT!!” you all but screamed as you walked out the library door as Madam Pince watched it all go down.
You run off letting your feet carry wherever, you didn’t care as long as it was away from George. Ending up in the courtyard you sat down with you back to one of the benches looking up at the stars. Zipping up your sweatshirt you pulled on the sleeves, while holding yourself together.  How could he suggest such a thing, you and Cedric were just friends. You had never been anything more, now does that mean you were denying that you felt butterflies around him sometimes. No, of course you did because he is “pretty boy Diggory” he was in the Triwizard tournaments. But George also had made you feel butterflies, though as the days went on it became less. What had you gotten yourself into? “Y/N? Is that you?” of course, Ginny came running out into the courtyard. “Y/N, what are you doing out here this late? Have- have you been crying?” she asks as she plops down next to you. “I don’t want to talk about it right now.” you sniffled scooting closer to her, laying your head on her shoulder. “Well, that’s alright. I’m here if you need me.” she reminds you as she lays her head on yours. “Thanks Gin.”
Over the next few days you had taken time to recover, noticing how not once had George tried to talk to you. He didn’t even look your way. But then again what were you expecting? He had barely had enough time for you when you two were dating. You also hadn’t spoken to Cedric since that day either. You hadn’t wanted George to see you two together and go spiraling, but why did you care anymore? You and him were no longer together.
So what did it matter that you were now walking over to the Hufflepuff table. So what if  you were sneaking up behind Hogwarts “Pretty Boy” to give him a giant hug. Who cared that all of the Weasley family was watching, who cared that now rumors would now be spread.
But George cared, he was trying to figure out how to apologize to you and try to make things right. Then you were walking across the hall, wrapped up in the Hufflepuff sweatshirt you had been wearing that night. You enveloped one of the people he feared would take you away from him. You dragged Cedric along behind you as you left the Great Hall, and with him you took his heart. Molly wouldn’t be happy, Ginny would miss you, who was to indulge Aurther in his various spirals about muggle things? Who would help believe in Fred and himself? You were everything, not just to George but to the whole Weasley family.
It was as if the world hated him. Now that you didn’t want to see him, he saw you everywhere. What made it worse was that every time he saw you, you were either with Ginny or Cedric. Just because you and him broke up didn’t mean you couldn’t hang out with Ginny anymore. But he still loved you, and he knew he screwed up. The problem was now winning you back.
You were sitting in the courtyard while quietly reading and listening to music on your iPod. It was a Saturday meaning no classes, some students had gone to Hogsmeade while others stayed behind. George saw you on his way out, now deciding to instead stay behind and try to reason with you. Though it seems you had caught someone else’s eye as well, right as George worked up the confidence to walk over Cedric did as well. Taking a step back into the corridor he watched as you looked up seeing him. A smile lit up your face. The same smile that had once been reserved for him. You were on your feet slipping your headphones out and running towards Cedric. Within seconds you had jumped on him, wrapping your legs around his torso and giving him a kiss on the cheek.  Had he missed something?
Hearing the sound of footsteps behind him saw Luna walking with one of the oddest sweatshirts he had ever seen.
“Luna?” He quickly cleared his throat once he heard how shaky it was.
“Yes George?” She smiled politely, while he looked between you and Cedric who looked to be talking seriously, and Luna.
“Um, are Cedric and Y/N a couple? I mean not that I care, but are they?” The end of his sentence was very timid.
“I believe so, yes. Are you headed to Hogsmeade as well? I can accompany you if you’d like.”
“I think I am just gonna head back to my room. Thank you for the offer though.”
“Of course.” she smiled while skipping off. Looking back he saw you and Cedric sitting down on the bench, pressed close together.
You and George had rebuilt your relationship to friendship, but nothing more. You were happy with Cedric, moving into a little cottage together after Hogwarts. George turned down every date in hopes that one day Cedric would do something wrong, or that you would realize you wanted to be with him and not “pretty boy Diggory”. You and Cedric were happy as you were, so much so that Cedric had decided to propose.
Grabbing the mail from the post box, George threw it on the table to be sorted later. Though something shiny caught his eye.
Please join us for the wedding celebration of Y/F/N  Y/L/N  and Cedric Diggory
He swore his heart stopped, his breath caught, he had read it over and over again. You were gone and there was really no getting you back anymore. The wedding was in 3 weeks as you and Cedric hadn’t wanted to wait any longer.
The day before the wedding George had written a letter and sent it, by evening it had reached your small little cottage. Cedric had been locking up the front door when an owl flew by, picking up the dropped letter he began to read.
Cedric,
I wanted to congratulate you and Y/N on the engagement, though I will not be attending. I ask that you don’t tell Y/N about this letter, but simply keep this between us. I know I don’t deserve it, but knowing Y/N this would ruin her. I wanted to let you know a few things before you get married.
Y/N’s favorite song is Magic Works by The Weird Sisters, though she’ll deny it every time you ask. She loves dancing to it in a very abstract manner, not caring one bit who’s watching.  She loves it when you rub the back of her hand with your thumb. She’ll never ask but she almost always wants to be around you, so maybe when you are able just sit with her. Sometimes she feels lonely but she won’t tell you, but she does this thing with her face where she looks all upset. When you and her get into a fight, don’t say somethin you don’t mean. When it rains, pull her outside to jump in puddles, it makes her feel young again.
If you ever have a garden, let her help take care of it. She has always wanted a garden, and a cat. If you let her, she will take you on adventures you had never dreamed of. Yet they are better than anything. I hope you understand that if she trusts you, then you are special. She doesn’t like wearing socks to bed, the sound of fireworks, or writing in pencil. She loves random hugs, the sound of a lawn mower, the whistle of a kettle, the way a cat's fur feels against her hand. She loves the way it smells after it rains, and loves the sound the rain makes when it hits the roof.
Just, don’t forget the simple things mean the most. She is simply unique and lovely in every way. Don’t make her regret choosing you.
- George Weasley
“Cedric darling, are you alright. You’ve been out here a bit.” You asked, sauntering out into the dining room while looking for him.
“Hm, oh I’m alright. Sorry I just spaced out.” He tucks the letter into his back pocket. Before coming over and wrapping you in a hug dragging you off to your room. “Let’s head to bed now. It's our last night before we are married! We should be in bed.” he winks at you before slipping the letter into the top drawer of his dresser.
