share some hylics headcanons perchance?

HIHELLO yes of course i can share some headcanons! will try to share just a few random ones sorry if some are repeats of ones i have talked about in the past my memory is soup lol

one that i don't really remember if i have talked about is with Blerol and Fleam! i hc that Fleam is Blerol's child and that Fleam grew up wanting to be a guard so that's why they have like armor and stuff! Blerol is probably super supportive of them and is like "hellyeah lemme get you some armor and stuff have fun and stay safe" fkdhdksh also i feel like Fleam would really look up to Pongorma as a major inspiration because of that!!

genuinely don't remember if i ever talked about this, but have some silly hcs for what the main four were up to between h1 and h2! for Wayne i feel like they would have spent some time still at their H1 house afterwards to just kinda recover and process over everything that happened with Gibby and the moon, but i feel like after some time either be would have decided to move back to Waynehouse (hc that he moved away years before H1) either on his own or from Old Wayne flat out offering and leading up to H2 he mainly just hung out there and possibly helped the other Waynes with training and with raising the Wayne Larvae! for Dedusmuln i feel like they would have continued their studies after spending a little time at Wayne's (probably a week) recovering and would eventually start traveling with Smuldunde more! Smul would probably show them new locations to excavate and explore while also giving them access to some of their studies so that they can further their own studies! this leads into how you encounter them on H2! with Somsnosa i feel like besides them running their juice ranch, some time before that (as further detailed with The Way Back Home from Absent Moon) she would begin searching for the call that is mentioned with the song, but after a long while she would begin to struggle and decide to stop for the time being (after H2 thought she would become even more motivated to resume this search). she would then begin his juice ranching! for pongorma i feel like he would do a lot of traveling since it had been years since he was released from the vault. feel like he would tag along with dedusmuln in a lot of their travels! since i hc that Smul lives in New Muldul, i think the Dedus would eventually bring Pongo there to both see it but to also meet Smul and from there he would decide that he'd like to reside there!!

also here is a Drac one because oufjdhdhdjdhsjhdjsbs already have talked about Drac and Old Wayne as a ship in the past and still do but i think like yeah even if that isn't canon i still think that Drac was still some sort of parental figure for H1 Wayne (and H2 Wayne if you think it's the same Wayne from H1)! i feel like if Drac knew Old Wayne (regardless if just friends or more), he would help with watching over and raising the Waynes. if the two didn't meet though, i still feel like Drac would still somehow meet Wayne if he was out on his own, and maybe Wayne would just tag along with Drac in his travels and Drac would just sorta start watching over and protecting Wayne! also then links to my hc for the act screens being dreams with Drac trying to reach out to Wayne about Gibby and everything

What would you say the hardest part about learning English is? Also, any tips for learning Russian?

I think you’ve mentioned before that English is your second language and I literally wouldn’t have known otherwise because your writings are that good, so I was just curious! (I’m trying to learn Russian myself and it’s not been too terribly difficult but,, cases really mess me up man 😭)

I'd say the hardest part of learning English depends on how far your end goal is. Third conditionals ("This would not have happened if I had not done that") are pretty hard, but you pretty much never use them in regular speech. Articles ("a", "the") are pretty hard, it takes a while for them to become intuitive, but if you practice enough, you stop having problems. Prepositions ("in", "on", "at") still mess me up, I think, but mostly I do alright. Idioms aren't hard, don't trust anyone who tells you otherwise. Fuckin' posers.

As for learning Russian, I am actually working on a project detailing our phonology, and the goal is to eventually expand it to a full nethodology. It's just that it's going very slowly because I'm currently going through a bit of a mental health crisis while working full-time. But we'll get there. I hope.

Cases are a fuck, honestly. I'd say practice helps a ton, but you probably heard fgat before. Reading and identifying cases in every sentence of what you're reading could also help a ton. It's how I teach articles in English. Gotta learn to undrstand the enemy before you can take on it yourself, is my advice.

If you have any particular questions about cases or anything else in Russian, or you need help translating something or checking something you've translated, feel free to ask me. I mean it. I wish I could be a language teacher again, I really miss it.

think i am gonna talk about a voice headcanon then!! been rereading doom patrol recently so gonna apply it to mr. nobody!!

as much as i absolutely love how Alan Tudyk did the acting for the character in the recent show, part of my brain has consistently been like “Ok what if sounded like Danny Elfman though” and like it is sorta hard to apply it since I feel like his singing voice applies better for me, but it is just the energy and the way he sings that reminds me a lot of mr. nobody and i just feel like he would speak with a very similar energy! i think the best example i could give is with how he provided the singing voice for jack in the nighmare before christmas lol!

he forces you to count them out even when your voice splinters and shakes. its almost pathetic really when he hears you start to whimper and cry after the seventh smack, hands coming back to feebly block his next hit. he has to clench his jaw to stop the smirk from pulling at his mouth when you mis-count, words jamming up behind you teeth. “oh little bird, let’s start from the beginning again, huh?” your answering pleas almost make it worth putting up with your behaviour.

the really worthwhile part for him is driving you up to the edge and leaving you there, dangling at the precipice of something euphoric just to wait for you to slip back from the brink. only to get you back there again, suspended, aching. he strokes your hair and smooths his thumb over your wet cheeks as you beg to finally, finally come.

and he lets you believe he’ll let you come, “okay sweetheart, you’ve done so well for me and I forgive you for being such an ungrateful brat. you can come.”

but he stops touching you. right when you shudder to the tips of your toes. right when you blink away your tears and thank him so prettily. he just stops and pushes two fingers into you, so tight and wet and desperate.

the noise you make nearly kills him.

“you’re so stupid baby.” he says and crooks his fingers inside you, just to listen to you cry out his name. “only good girls get to come. and I don’t think you’re quite there yet.”

Long story short I broke my hand, I have a brace on it but it’s ugly so I wanted to get a like fingerless glove/arm warmer thing to cover it but couldnt find it
