I've heard a lot of songs atp, still do, I generally just love angsty love songs, but there's this one song.... Itaewon class OST. SWEET NIGHT. That just hits all the right spots at the same time. As someone who went through a couple of heartbreaks and unrequited love feels for a while sweet night is THAT song for me.

I know Taehyung released innurable hits and the general theme of longing and falling for your best friend and yearning in general are seen throughout his discography (which I'm quite suspicious are regarding the same person and he too went through that emotion but let's leave that for another time) sweet night is probably the most special song for me and very close to my heart.

I've been looking for artists who just got me, on a spiritual level, who knew not just what to say but how I felt as well. Taehyung gets it, blue and grey, inner child, stigma, for us, scenary and more but most importantly sweet night.

Sweet night feels like it was written from his heart. His most vulnerable track, his heart out there in the open, bare and naked not fearing any judgement. It's his most natural, raw state of his emotion. I dont know the story, I don't know what he was going through but if he were ever comfortable to talk about it when he desired the one story I would love to hear about is what went behind the making of sweet night. The vocals, instrument, the background vocals, something so heartbreaking about it.

It's romantic, sweet, vulnerable, heartbreaking. Calling it sweet night. It feels so personal and genuine. Sorry sweet night will always be my queen. Any song that's a genuine reflection of an artist's vulnerability will always be special and sweet night is just that song.

Christmas Tree

This song feels like a warm blanket in a cold november night while the first snow is falling down. Your freezing body starts to get warm and it's like a person is hugging you even though you're on your own. Christmas Tree isn't only warming you from the inside but it's comforting you from the outside as well. Tae's deep and gentle voice feels like a hug, a kiss, a promise that you aren't alone and someone is waiting for you at the end of the day. In this moment it's only you and the other person, no matter how big the distance to each other is. You forget about all the rainy days because now the sun is shining on you, the presence of the other person keeps the cold out and even nature is singing for you like christmas trees. It feels like time stands still, the only thing you hear is this secret the voice tells you. A love confession that is so pure and sincere that it fills your heart with warmth and longing for one touch between two souls existing far apart. You know each other's secrets and hidden sides like no one else. Just as fate brought you together, you both will meet again when the right time comes. The lyrics of christmas tree capture this feeling of uncertainty, vulnerability and strong longing for another person in a perfect way. You feel hugged and touched by the voice alone, it's enough to keep your hope for better days alive and gives you the strength to survive cold times.

1). My last song was also Love Me Again by Taehyung!! Now I’m listening to video game OST if that counts.

2). The first responders S2 (kdrama). Barely just starting it now but I’ve been waiting months since I finished S1 for it to continue!!

3). *sweats* Besides JJK manga… I actually still need to finish Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo and Legendary by Stephanie Garber that I put down super long ago 😅

4). My obsession for Genshin is slowly returning especially now that a new region—Fontaine is around the corner and I’m super excited!!
