Hi everyone!

I've managed to complete all these comics and, I feel really proud of myself for doing it. Looking at it does feel "WOW, I did that". For anyone who enjoys these particular titles, they are now avaible for easy reading as ebooks, free download. Thanks for looking at my page. I am grateful to everyone who's watched, commented, and stuck with me. You've all been really great and supportive. It's been a big help as I've looked to work on my art.

But, I'm looking to turn my passion into a real living and I'll need more as a result. If I'm going to be able to work more and my characters, I'll need more patrons and income so I can focus on my art. I'm looking to reach a goal that'll let me work as much as I can and produce even more pictures, comics and animatics in the future.  You can support me here, on kofi, or Patreon. I'd really want to keep these titles going, especially "Legends Of Ocelot". I have some many exciting stories I want to get done, and, its just really tough doing it. More support makes it smoother. And I have a few animatic ideas I'm passionate to get off the ground.

I like how non-conforming "lesboy" is. Like, yes, I'm a lesbian man, what about it? There's something so gender affirming about it & I can't explain why it feels so right. (Unfortunately my friends are... not supportive to say the least)

this is also the reason why I love lesboy so much. it's different from the norm but it expresses both parts of myself as though they are equal- being both a trans guy/bigender and a lesbian. I've had so many instances where I hide my lesbian identity in order for my trans one to be validated, or hide my whole trans identity to make people still respect my lesbian one. but lesboy? I don't have to keep one or the other a secret. I can just be both and using lesboy makes me feel i can be proud of it

i’m having thoughts about batman vs green arrow, and how the central characters shape the stories their supporting casts are allowed

like, in batman comics, bruce’s story is about being permanently shaped by a grief he can never move on from (his parent’s deaths, and later jason’s death). the premise of batman, bruce’s unyielding dedication to his mission, requires that bruce always be living in the shadow of his formative trauma, always responding to it. structurally, he can never be allowed to heal (because a happy bruce wayne isn’t batman), which means he can’t really grow. his supporting cast can develop and grow in their own right, but they can’t leave (bc they’re batman characters), so they stay stuck in the same unhealthy dynamics with bruce. this creates a narrative paradigm where positive change rarely sticks, cycles aren’t broken, and the easiest story to tell is a tragedy. bruce isn’t allowed a happy ending, so nobody who loves him gets one either.

now compare this with green arrow, where ollie’s stories are so often about having the humility, courage, and determination to take accountability for your mistakes and change for the better. transformative change is his whole deal! it’s the point of the island! and his relationships with his supporting cast reflect this. ollie messes up, he learns from it, and his relationships with other characters develop and improve accordingly. the point of the story is that ollie changes, making change possible for everyone. and so green arrow books present a paradigm where characters are allowed to grow in ways that stick, where harm can be learned from instead of brushed aside, and where happy endings aren’t guaranteed but do largely feel possible. yk?

Changes to this blog

Just a quicks heads up, I didn't think I'd ever do this but I've come to the decision that I no longer wish to continue posting scans online as I have done in the past.

I have been sharing edited scans from my personal media collection online for free for over two decades now, with Tumblr being my home base since 2012-ish.

I didn't think anything could make me give up, but in recent months the combination of my ill health and the sheer amount of reposting-for-revenue people have perpetuated on other sites via "otaku art" accounts and the like has made something I used to love doing for free feel quite miserable, honestly.

I will continue posting about the things I like here, making gifs and answering questions if asked. I might even get around to working on some of my other projects, but for the moment I'm going to stop posting edited scans.

Thank you for supporting what I've been doing here. I just don't have it in my anymore for the scans to continue, sorry.

the amptp refused to negotiate viewership-based residuals for SVOD and (high budget) AVOD series writers

the amptp proposed day-paying (!) comedy/variety writers and daytime writers on streaming as opposed to offering them the same protections they are guaranteed on broadcast and cable. 

there’s more and you can read it for yourself. let’s keep this clear: the amptp forced the wga to go on strike, and all of the financial, cultural, and emotional fallout the fault of the studios, not the writers trying to make a living.
