Those arms are no joke, Alhaitham is a beefy man.

And you. His precious partner; someone who can somehow defy his 'always rational' mindset. He knows you're capable of handling yourself but the scribe has always liked the idea of protecting you.

Which is why when you picked him up and held him nonchalantly, he's quite ??? at first.

He's never been into heavy PDA and the endless teasing that might come from his roommate if Kaveh sees this makes him dread the idea.

He'll ask you to place him down, but if no one's around and he has a perfectly good book in his hands; Alhaitham would sigh and continue on reading.

The feeling of you holding him so gently whilst having the strenght to carry him made Alhaitham slightly flustered, but you didn't hear it from me.

8/10 very heavy, but now you have a pretty bookworm nerd prince in your arms.

》 The Wanderer : Scaramouche

(I know he's from Inazuma but his vision frame is Sumeru's soooo)

Despite his rather unpleasant temper, Scaramouche has a soft spot for you. That doesn't mean he won't be cranky tho.

Honestly, if you're in a public place Scaramouche would be uncomfortable and angry; he wants these types of moments where he could be vulnerable only for you and him. He'll be fine with it when you're both alone.

When you picked him up and held him so closely, he went tsundere mode and demanded you to place him down, but the way he stuttered those words may mean he doesn't fully want you to.

If you do as you're told, Scaramouche would act pissed off, but he can't stop thinking about how you picked him up and held him gently for the rest of the day.

But if you don't listen to his demands and complaints, Scaramouche would still be angry at first then the complaints slowly turned into a "fine, whatever" as you held him close to you

9/10 tsundere boi, he's light as hell so it's easy to sweep him off his feet. The whining gets annoying tho.

》 The Palace of Alcazarzaray's Architect : Kaveh

Smirks at you, goes confident mode

Kaveh has always been the type to tease you. So when your strong arms swept him off his feet, he sees a golden opportunity.

"Oh? Did someone missed me?"

A part of you is tempted to drop him on the floor for all the teasing but didn't have the heart to.

It slowly morphs into the two of you flirting/bickering with eachother. If Alhaitham walks in on this, it's best he pretends to not see it.

Kaveh actually likes you picking him up like that. Whilst he does take the more affectionate role in the relationship most of the time, Kaveh likes the feeling of you holding him gently after he finished the sketches for his next project.

10/10 he's light to be picked up + bonus flirting with eachother.

》 The General Mahamatra : Cyno

One might think the general mahamatra might not like the idea of being picked up and carried like a bride. They're wrong.

Cyno is neutral when he's being carried by you like this; it just depends on the surroundings.

If the place you're is both in is safe and he's not doing any important work, he'll let you pick him up with ease. The blank and straight face might say otherwise, but he likes it.

Cyno is a warrior at heart, he brings judgement upon those at the Akademiya or those at the desert; but being picked up gently by you makes him feel butterflies.

He might show you his appreciation in the form of a smile, or three of his best jokes.

10/10 he has those muscles from being the General Mahamatra, but Cyno is still easy to pick up. Remember to laugh at his jokes.

》 Avidya Forest Watcher : Tighnari

"Watch it on the tail!" He did not groom it to be soft n fluffy just for it to be ruined, be careful.

Like Cyno, if he's doing any important things or is in a dangerous area; don't pick him up. But if the two of you are just patrolling or in a private area, go for it!

Tighnari quite likes it when you pick him up. He's not big on PDA, but some exceptions can be made.

If the forest ranger is feeling tired that day, he might lean to your chest and rest his eyes for a bit. Keeping anyone safe from the forest isn't an easy task, so let the fox rest for a bit against you.

His ears are sensitive, so he can hear your heartbeat clearly if he presses his head against your chest. He finds it comforting

11/10 very light and soft, pet those ears.

you help out around gandharva ville a lot in your spare time

tighnari hardly ever lets you assist him in his duties in the forest, and when he does, it's typically when he's sure there won't be any danger

which isn't often

everyone at the village is very thankful that you help out so much

going on patrol with collei!!! you're practically attached at the hip most of the time

you do occasionally give tighnari shit for always being busy. all in good fun, of course - you understand that he has a very important role in helping the forest, and that it isn't always possible for him to spend time with you

whenever you get sick he makes the nastiest medicine imaginable <33 it's not his fault that the best treatment tastes awful!!!!!!

when you refuse to drink the medicine on your own, he spoonfeeds you!! while teasingly chiding you, of course

and if you still dont drink the medicine...... well, he has to resort to.. other methods

i'll leave that up to interpretation

you can't help but pay acute attention whenever tighnari goes off on another excited ramble about this species of flower that reminds him of you!!! he's just so adorable in moments like those

the look on his face when you recite some knowledge he told you in passing a few weeks ago

shitting on the akademiya together

him helping you open up and share your opinion more, and you helping him learn that he doesn't always have to be in charge, that it's ok to take longer rests and that he shouldn't feel guilty when something that's out of his control goes wrong

you constantly taking in animals that are either hurt or babies, and him rarely having the heart to turn them away

the amount of ongoing inside jokes. plant jokes. most of the time they're so subtle that if you weren't in on it, you would even realize a joke was being told

helping him write the occasional botany paper because, shocker, you've developed a love for the subject as well

dragging him to bed with you, even if it's just to cuddle and talk about your days and theorize if this specific plant could thrive under these specific conditions

you asking him one time to bring you something back from his patrol, him doing it every time he goes on one without you

every time you drop something and hurt yourself, he's immediately (lovingly) on your ass. damn those big soft ears

petting his ears. ranting and raving about them with collei

you being the only person to pet his ears??? like even if other people ask he typically declines them...

him constantly flustering you with subtle flirts, even after you've been together for years

still being in the honeymoon phase despite dating for so long already

him somehow finding ways to flirt / compliment you so that you don't process it until way later,,,, staying up way too late thinking about what he said

you tearing up the first time he gave you a handmade lunch; admitting that it was the most thoughtful thing someone's done for you in a long time

still crying when he gives you homemade lunches, being painfully aware of his busy schedule and seemingly-never ending duties

having tons of connections by association,,, becoming quite well-known yourself

pausing to look at certain flowers when on a walk, remembering him mention them to you the other day

when you argue him having the nerve to get all close to you and say some shit like "ooh, you wanna kiss me so bad" and so you do. you kiss him. hard.

him promising to get you a different flower that reminds him of you every year; him keeping tru to that promise

falling asleep to the sounds of the forest, tucked in his arms, smile on your face as you snuggle closer into his neck

laughing whenever he accidentally bonks his ears on a doorframe

summary: alhaitham was always distant and whenever he would come around, there would be arguments and tears shedded. Having you go to bed sad and angry— he said what others may have thought leaving you baffled and mute.

a/n: i love alhaitham sm but i feel like he’s just not as emotionally available as he convinces himself he is :(

warnings: angst with no comfort, fem reader. alhaitham acting like a bitchy teenage boy

hope you enjoy!!

tonight was another failed night as alhaitham promised to come home before dinner. But you cooked dinner 4 hours ago..it’s okay you thought, putting his dinner in the microwave.

his favorite meal was yours and that’s what really connected you two— a love for food and books. Sitting back on the couch wondering why..why must these people overwork alhaitham to the point where he has to book hotel rooms or sleep in his office. You were starting to get a little heartbroken and glum thinking that you’re marriage was just you being a neglected housewife— something you always feared as a little girl.

as you sit with your thoughts at the dinner table, the front door rightfully opens as an overfamiliar statureous shadow appears behind the door making its full appearance. you were staggered that he came home tonight..after so many weeks going on months of craving his warmth and to be near his vessel- he finally showed up.

with a desperate gasp you stumble out the chair to greet him— eradicating any unnecessary weight of clothes and hand items he was carrying. “i’ve missed you— oh! you’re food got cold but i’ll warm it up for you.” was all you said before rushing around the kitchen to satisfy you’re overworked..and ungrateful husband.

“are you going to eat?” you questioned nervously. Perched up beside your husband and agitatedly twisting your hair between your fingertips. with a sigh and a shake of his head “no” he gets up leaving for the bedroom. sitting there vague of his response you wait a few before following him to the bedroom where he’s rested. “what’s wrong alhaitham, you sure you don’t wanna eat or anything..you’ve been getting awfully thin-“ you softly spoke in a caring and motherly manner before being brutally cut off

“y/n! i’ll eat when i feel like it..now stop pestering me. do not start this today, i’m tired.” was all it took for you to muster up the daring sense to respond to his plea to be left alone.

“al haitham, have you no respect for the work i do as your wife?” you say now leaving the doorway of the bedroom strutting to the end of the bed where he lays. “all i do for you while you work and leave me alone!” you cry “i do not want to do this with you right now, i’m a busy man with a bunch of work to do. Who will pay the bills without a job like mines? surely not you.” alhaitham retaliates as your voice of nagger is too galling for him as you feast a tantrum about him.

taken aback you won’t settle down for nothing as you raise your voice at him, tired and holding back emotions and biting your tongue “i just want you to spend time with me and appreciate the things i do! is that to much to ask for?”

“yes! yes it is! is it to much to ask for when i beg the gods for you to leave me the hell alone?” that sentence alone cut deep into you like soft meat. leaving you there baffled and silent.

“you knew what the consequences were when you married me.”

with a scoff— coming back from your stillness “no, you did! you were the one that proposed” spitting out with a solemn expression “you should’ve never said yes.” took you took your breaking point as his words couldn’t shatter or break your heart as there was nothing left but sad matter. At this point, you both were shouting at each other like little kids.

Looking back at it now you’re reminiscing on if the argument or you begging and worrying about his well being wss worth it. You didn’t learn from the previous arguments, overthinking every word he said that slipped between his dull lips as you cry in your trembling hands.

NAHIDA HAS NO REASON TO BE WHITE. heres WHY

the reason why i'm making this post is because i am SICK and TIRED of seeing OTHER PEOPLE fight for MY CULTURE in the most INCORRECT WAY POSSIBLE. "nahida rcta queen!", "why are you blackwashing her?", "she switched teams!" all these comments and more under artists' posts that decided to give her melanin.

artists are just giving back her melanin as she is based off a culture with people who have dark skin. this is not racist. this is literally the opposite. i understand if a character already has an established skin colour that's apart of their character (ex. ei or zhongli) though with nahida this makes no sense.

i am indian, do NOT come after me. sumeru is based off of MY culture. i know what i'm talking about. a good 70% of sumeru is based off hindu culture, it's based off south asia.

more of my yapping:

you all need to shut the hell up about saraswati and how nahida is based off saraswati because saraswati's description is saying "shes as white as the moon" and nahida is white. you ALL need to BE QUIET ABOUT THAT.

this is saraswati, for reference:

saraswati is not ever mentioned in genshin impact. NOT ONCE. but, the aranara call rukkhadevata queen aranyani. aranyani is a very obscure hindu god known for taking care of the forest and dancing n stuff

THIS IS WHAT NAHIDA AND RUKKHADEVATA ARE BASED OFF OF. NOT SARASWATI. the only thing that saraswati and nahida (+ rukkha) have in-common is that other than being white and based off a hindu goddess

saraswati isn't even white, the pale as the moon thing refers to a godly glow. so even IF nahida and rukkha are based off saraswati, hoyo does NOT HAVE ANY REASON TO MAKE THEM WHITE SINCE SHE ISNT EVEN WHITE. she has a GODLY GLOW.

literally the only excuse nahida has for being that pale is that she's the avatar of irminsul (a white tree) HOWEVER. they didn't need to make her THAT pale. if they wanted to make her pale skin they should've added more colors like pinks and purples and blues like the actual irminsul

as you can VERY CLEARLY see, they did not do that. they did not even try to take this route.

everything could have been fine if they did take this route or make her eyelashes white and say she's albino if they really wanted her to be white. but they didn't.

indians can be pale, YES. but they aren't this paper caca toothpaste looking ass WHITE like how nahida is. REPRESENTATION FOR SKIN COLOUR MATTERS TOO. ITS NOT JUST THE CULTURE THEY'RE BASED OFF OF.

does anyone believe that furina is not actually the hydro archon? bc honestly i can see that. i know that she's the 2nd archon but like so is nahida and you can tell that nahida actually cares about her people despite not knowing as much as the previous archon(and then forgetting all about them). just the way furina acts and even with the trials like she "created the oratrice" but doesn't even know how it operates? like why would you even use it then. you'd think that the "god of justice" would want to serve justice fairly (like fr how many people were wrongfully killed/imprisoned) and when childe was going to use foul legacy in front of an entire crowd possibly seriously injuring and/or killing people she just sat there ?? like i dont expect her to just jump right in and beat his ass but like if it wasn't for neuvillette stopping him (without being told to) then what would have happened? and not doing anything about the prophecy and straight up lying about having a plan to stop it 😑. (no hate to anyone who likes her i just don't 😭)

(and like the knave literally could have assassinated her and she NEVER MENTIONED IT TO ANYONE??? AND CRIED ALONE IN HER ROOM ???)

ygs spend like 24/7 together. not that you're complaining, but,,,,,

u two are basically attached at the hip

he is. so sweet to you??? always looking out for the both of you, too, as well as collei. after all, the forest is a dangerous place

oh, you're definitely a plant parent. you have so many plants in the house, sometimes it feels like you're still in the forest itself

he teaches u abt all the plants!!!! all of them!!! he jus wants to make sure that you don't poison yourself foraging, that's all... definitely not bcz he's excited to share so much knowledge w/ u.....

lunches!!!! in the rainforest!!!!! tighnari cooks, ofc. malewife material fr

he's made u learn so much abt the forest.. you dont even kno how u still remember it all tbh

after living together for a while, u begin to cultivate a love for all the things he teaches u abt. seeing him so excited makes u excited too <3

ima be honest when ygs started dating you weren't even sure if u were official or not, since he just. never addressed it???

after maybe your fifth or sixth date you finally asked. he said that he thought u both had already been in a relationship for weeks

"don't eat that"

he worries for u when ygs go out in the forest together

he rants abt his day to you <33 its amazing when he gets all sassy when talking abt something/someone that annoyed him

he was kinda hesitant abt u touching his ears n tail for a while..

like, it took quite a long time for him to trust u w/ that

when he does tho!!!!! he absolutely loves it

starts complaining if u dont brush his tail for him before bed

you give each other little presents u found in the forest. a shiny rock one day, a pretty leaf the next. every gift seems sweeter than the last

being w/ him u either have a lot of connections as well, or you're like completely oblivious to who ppl are

when you're sad, he tries to make u happy by making jokes or distract u by telling a story

most of the time those succeed in cheering you up

if that tactic doesn't work, he'll ask what he can do to help u, and is v quick abt it once you say what you need

silent evening moments where u 2 sit outside and just listen to the sounds of the forest <3

so many. books. everywhere.

u better love reading and learning when ur w/ this guy

on that note,,,, your birthday.

first thing, he'll give u a pretty potted plant <3 it probably does something as well- like perhaps it has healing properties, or it grows edible fruits. smth like that

u think that that's his only present to u

he then takes you to the market / bizarre and lets u pick out one thing- anything you want

then later he might take u to the forest to maybe look at cool plants and stuff!!!! to maybe calm down from all the noise n being around so many ppl

when he takes u back to ygs place, there suddenly a cake on the dining room table!!!!! omg haha when did that get there

he tells u that tbh he didnt know what the hell a "birthday cake" was.

he had to ask around a bit, and go thru some books. and then bake it himself, and successfully hide it from u and keep it preserved for the whole day

after cake you guys just sit porch / veranda and talk while the sun sets

i love him sm guys :(
