Please lore dump about your fic. Please 🥺
YES FUCK!!!! ok so i really want to talk about ordon-hyrule!!
so we know there are 4 light spirits, 3 of which are named after the goddesses (lanayru, eldin, faron) and a fourth which is ordona. SO i think this could mean that ordon was (a) not commonly subscribed to the hylian faith and (b) independent from hyrule. hylians specifically have pointed ears to hear the goddess but ordon is exclusively populated by humans (which we do see both in hyrule proper).
therefore h/c is that ordon was brought into hyrule within the current dynasty of the royal family (likely preceding king harkinian since rusl lives in ordon but we know that he's from hyrule originally.
the current dynasty has overseen civil wars (since at least time's birth per the manga) and imperialism (hyrule absorbing ordon, death mt, and the zora domain)
Fun Facts!!
-> ordon is both the province/territory and the name of Ordon Village. for political logistics the crown declared ordon village (the closest to the border) the capital.
-> ordon has no centralized government and is instead a series of scattered farming villages with local mayors who convene cyclically from village to village. ordonian fashion is commonplace but the style of knot used to tie the sash is a good tip off on which village an ordonian comes from
-> ordonians are largely spiritual. no central power, no central religion. most of them don't worship hylia as a goddess but instead treat her as a regional deity of hyrule. they instead offer prayers/offerings to river/forest/etc spirits
-> ordon and hyrule share a common tongue (with some dialect/accent inconsistencies) but ordon's written language came long after hyrule's. ordon has a largely oral tradition (folk tales are extremely important to passing down their history). ordon's common alphabet has a few quirks. ch/sh are written using the same symbol, rather than a 'w' they use 'vv', 'll' is common in place of a y or ie.
-> ordon is not difficult to get to but the easiest way is the long way. ordonians don't typically venture into hyrule but their crops/wool are so valuable that merchants come to the province for them. ordonians usually trade for stock rather than purchase. it's likely sera spent some time in hyrule or set up the shop as a savvy way to attract merchants
-> hylians look down on ordonians as being "simple folk" mostly for their accents and how simple ordonian dress seems (although sash tying is something most hylians can't do properly)

I was at a debate competition yesterday, so here's some art of the chain based on that. This is a debate au now ig?
Lu-tober day 15+16
No prompt
Debate AU lmao
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway highlights from the trip + bonus info
Had to get up at like 3:45 am, had to be their at 4:45 and then hours of drive time it was some bullshit no one was happy also it was cold as fuck
Wild and Hyrule being in Congress bc they're speech kids and need a debate even is so me tho. I crashed and burned cause I had not a single thing prepared lmao
Turned Legend and Four into a PF duo cause they gave me the same vibe as a pair of people on my team, also I think it'd be funny
I won first place with my Oratory! Wasn't actually expecting that, but I got straight 1's through all my rounds, was very confused at first but hey I slay :D
Last comic bit of Wild winning is basically a recreation of that moment expect there was more exited running and fistbumps as I returned to the audience
Probably never gonna touch this idea again but I find it amusing for now. Maybe one or two bored doodles during rounds.

What head canons do you have for the LU boys? (Yes, this is a request for you to ramble about them)
aaaahhh hello! Thanks for asking, but wow, goodness me
this will take some thinking XD
umm
ok a lot of these are pretty generic or just other people’s ideas I kinda adopted but here goes!
also I didn’t expect it when I started but this got long…
for Legend, I really like the idea of him drinking tea and still having an apple orchard. And also having honey bees! (These aren’t mine originally lol) Also I feel like post LU (this ofc may change depending on the ending) he fell into depression a little bit before digging himself out… idk I just feel like that would happen. I like the idea of him being a good singer. (merperson stuff but also maybe having to do with post-LA?) Also I feel like he’s one of those people that’s always cold! So he secretly likes to cuddle :)
with Wild, I feel like… he definitely doesn’t use recipes! This is based off how I am in his game and irl, as I just throw things together and never go back to see how I made things before, but also I feel like it just fits his personality hehe! Also based on my experiences in game (to an extent), I feel like he doesn’t actually care about legitimately looking fashionable… it’s more that he likes wearing things that looks crazy XD
on to Hyrule! Ok this isn’t as much a headcanon as a ship but I really ship him and Aurora; I feel like they’d be absolutely adorable together but he’s really private about it! I like to think Hyrule can sew? And I think he’d love to run around barefoot on fresh grass! And just, be in love with nature in general! maybe he doesn’t have an eye for color; he can’t tell if colors clash or actually match lol
Time! I like the idea of Time and Malon having a running joke that the other is color blind, and the chain eventually picks it up! And then Time keeps mistaking one color for another (on purpose or not? We’ll never know), and every time the others go wild XD (this may or may not be based on a joke my parents have irl hehe) also I feel like Time really likes flowers? Idk why! Finally, if Time was in the modern world he’d be the guy who’d be acting food months to tears past the expiration date…
Four, my beloved! Umm this is kinda a design idea more than anything but I like the idea of him growing his hair out and wearing it in a ponytail post LU! (provided he doesn’t die…) I don’t think of him as having voices in his head or being a system but I still like the idea of him talking to himself sometimes XD! Also this is just something canon I don’t see talked abt a lot but I love he and Twi’s relationship sm! Four totally has RBF and definitely stares at people accidentally when he’s thinking… also I saw a crack fic somewhere where Four was already married to Dot and had children and the chain were shocked; it was hilarious, and while I don’t think he would actually have kids, I think it’d be hilarious if he and his Zelda are already quite far along in their relationship (as I ship them lol)
the man, the myth, the legend, WIND, is next! This man has Opinions. I feel like he’s the kind of person so have opinions on things he’s only heard of two seconds before, like automatically deciding he will like a food or deciding the other way round. (And yeahhhh I’m basing him on my brother lol) I’m definitely not the one to come up with this but Wind is definitely the one with the best (and most opinionated) fashion sense! Maybe older him bonded with young Wars in the War of Eras over this (bc I love the idea of older wind being there), Idk XD! Also he definitely braids Aryll’s hair and is generally very responsible (I mean he’s a big brother he’s gotta be XD); he’s treating LU as a bit of a vacation!
Warriors, wonderful man, is next! I feel like he’s very nostalgic. Like, just in general. He likes to look back on his happy memories! Also (once again not my idea) but I like the idea of Warriors growing up either orphaned or really poor, and living in the less palatable portion of Castle Town. I definitely ship him and his Zelda (ok tbh I ship ALL the Links with their Zeldas lol) but I feel like at the point of LU they’ve talked abt it but Warriors isn’t ready (thanks to Cia and maybe just all the barriers in his mind about being inferior to her or smth) Also, give this man the craziest accent you can find and I am here for it; whoever first came up with that is a genius. Ok yeah you can probably tell but I love Warriors angst XD
Sky!!! My bestieeee!! If Sky was in modern times he’d be one of those people who gets sleepy when they drink coffee, fs! He is de the artistic one, and maybe during LU he discovers a bunch of mediums besides woodworking that he loves (and maybe he makes a bunch of art for Sun, who knows!) This next one is based off @margindoodles2407’s Sky for her loz AU but the idea that his parents died in a house fire and he lived with Gaepora and Zelda until he was older is so cool to me! And bc of this I feel like he’d really hate being around fire (to the point of panic attacks? Maybe, maybe not)
Last but not least is Twilight!! This guy totally talks out loud to animals all the time and it freaks people out (they can never tell if he actually understands them hehe)! Twi definitely has a lot of respect for kids too and talks to them like they’re adults (by using the same vocabulary and tone, not by talking about things that aren’t good for kids to hear XD) and I feel like he would write painfully cheesy love poems? Twi definitely can’t cook but I feel l Ike he also cares the most about food? Idk?
ok, and that’s it!!! Wow, that was a lot…
and I could definitely come up with more lol

Haitani x Reader Drabble 1
Tumblr media
Cw: seeing both the Haitanis at once. Ran squeezes your stomach in affection,
Includes: Kanto Manji Ran x Reader, Kantou Manji Rindou x Reader
Description: Visiting your two favorite boys in the cold of winter, seeking affection and warmth. Rindou gets a bit jealous of his older brother. Ran's mean to you at first.
Notes: This was originally gonna be smut but I decided I didn't want to write smut involving both the brothers this time as it made me a little uncomfortable.
Tumblr media
Visiting younger 21 and 22 year old Ran in their shared apartment. Being able to have Rindou open the door for you, glasses sitting perfectly on the bridge of his nose as he looks at you, slightly covered in snow due to the weather. He lets you slip past him into the house, his hand coming up to brush the top of your hood and pull it down slightly as he shuts the door. It’s so cold, your hands and nose are freezing, face flushed red. “It’s so cold.” You pout and lift your hands, trying to touch Rindou’s face and hands to your frozen skin. He bats them away, face twisting into a look of distaste as he tries to avoid the cold shock. “Don’t touch me- you’re too cold.”
You give him a harsh glare, trying to wrap your bundled up arms around the grumpy twenty-one year old but he, avoiding your embrace with ease, slides past you. “I’m in a game, go annoy my brother. Ya?”. Your mouth dropped open as he rounded the corner and disappeared. Rindou wasn’t always so cruel but he had a sharp tongue on him, even so, You were still unsatisfied by his lack of care for your cold body temperature. You had wanted him to help warm you up but the older Haitani was just as good and if in the right mood, probably more willing.
You kicked your boots against the welcome mat before tugging them off your legs and padding down the hall towards the door farthest from the entrance. You barely hesitated after knocking once before opening the door, eyes landing on Ran’s lean figure curled up on his makeshift sofa at the foot of his bed, watching the glowing screen in front of him. His eyebrow raised in response to the door opening, temper ready to flare depending on who was disrupting his show and why.
When he realized it was you, his hands lazily searched for the remote, pausing the program without looking away from you, a lazy smile gracing his lips. “Nice, I could use some agreeable company.” He patted the spot next to him, beckoning youtoo his side.
Ran wasn’t always fond of company and when he was, he was usually at the end of a long weekend, holed up in his room alone, social meter finally refilled. You felt lucky to have caught him in such a cheery mood, at least in reaction to your appearance and not his brothers. You shut his door and hastily made your way towards his make shift sofa, dropping into a crawl and closing the final bit of distance between the two of you, welcoming the way he opened his arms out for you.
He was a bit harder to hug then usual due to your fluffy coat but you weren't gonna pause to pull it off, instead cherishing the way he wrapped his arms around your bulky torso and pressed his cheek to yours.
He flinched in reaction to your freezing skin, half dropping you out of his embrace and bringing one hand up to your cheeks. “Aren’t you chilly. C’mere. Take that coat off.” He reached behind him and began to tear the comforter off his already unmade bed as you struggled to squirm out of your jacket.
Once it was off, you allowed him to wrap the huge comforter around the two of you, immediately feeling the relief that his body heat and the blanket brought to your shivering form. Your body was already angled to curl up into his, his arm finding it’s way around you and pulling you into him. “You ever seen this show?” He asked, his voice close to your ear as he picked up the remote with his other hand. Making you shiver as his breathe bounced off your ear. “It’s kind of a stupid drama, but the acting is pretty funny and their are a lot of twists.” He muttered in your ear after unpausing the show.
He was right, the acting was hilarious and utterly horrible. You couldn’t help the giggles that left your lips in response to the ridged lines and horrible queues. Ran’s lips were almost always upturned in a amused smile, shifting every-once in awhile and letting his hand stroke your upper arm affectionately. Despite the horrible acting, the drama was quite entertaining, even if you had to ask a few questions. You tried to keep them minimal though, knowing Ran was the type to get irritated pretty easy. But as long as his thumb kept gently rubbing into your skin, you assumed you were in the clear.
It only took a few minutes for your positions to change, Ran wrapping his arms around your waist and dragging you up onto his lap, head resting on top of yours. You didn’t focus too hard on the show, more interested in the way his hands slid under your shirt and touched your stomachs and sides, sometimes gentle touches like a butterfly and other times pinching softly at your skin. You hated that even small touches like this had a effect on you, but you had been fairly touch starved before meeting the Haitanis deep in the night.
You remember just how scared of them you had been, walking home alone after your car battery died and none of your friends answered your calls or texts. You had failed to bring your warm winter coat that night, not considering that you'd need to leave your car or warmth of a building for long. You were practically ready to run when Rindou grabbed your arm, face lighting up in embarrassment and flushed panic as you began to scream for some kind of help.
"Hay, calm down! You just dropped your phone!", His words coming out in a rush as he lifted up his hands to show you the semi cracked phone that had fallen from your pockets. Ran was standing a few feet away with his hands in his pockets, having wanted to just take your phone and see if they could unlock or sell it off but his little brother had insisted on being a good samaritan for once.
Maybe it was the the combination of fear that this semi traumatic night had caused you and the dismay of realizing your phone and car were now damaged, but you suddenly couldn't stop the overwhelming emotion from flooding out of you. Hands flying to your face to cover your eyes. Rindou's face only darked out of more embarrassment and panick as you began to sob, eyes shutting tightly as tears ran down your cheeks.
"Why are you crying- I didn't mean to freak you out, holy shit. I'm sorry." He lifted his hands and tried to calm you down, his words jumbled and unable to calm the flood of tears streaming down your cheeks. He glanced back at his brother who was still looking semi bored, motioning towards you with pleading eyes. He had never been as good with people as his older brother had and he was hoping Ran's charm could soothe you into shutting up.
Ran stared at his younger brother then back at your shivering and sobbing form, eyes rolling up into his skull for a moment before approaching you. His hands found your shoulders in a loose hold as he bent over slightly to meet your height.
"It's okay, you must be freezing, huh?", His voice was smooth and comforting, your eyes peaking open from under your hands to look at him with blurred vision. He began to pull off his coat, leaving him in a long sleeved black shirt. His arms moved around you as he wrapped the heavy fabric around your trembling shoulders before removing his scarf as well and wrapping it around your neck. He couldn't stop the slight smile that twitched on his face, his jacket and scarf making you look bulky yet tiny.
Your hands began slid away from your face, moving to cling at the fabric and bring it tightly around you, his scent suddenly filling your nostrils. Expensive cologne mixed with the slight smell of iron floated around your nose, but compared to the salty and heavy scent of the dark street, you welcomed it.
"Must've had a rough night for you to be so shaken up, why are you out here all alone?" He questioned gently, tilting his head slightly. Rindou couldn't help but feel slightly jealous with the way his older brother has so easily soothed you, face still a light red due to the cold and embarrassment. His glasses fogging up in the harsh weather.
You sniffled and tried to swallow your emotions, tears stuck to your lashes and slowly forming into ice. You opened your mouth to speak, words sticking in your throat and ruining any response you had. Suddenly Ran lifted his hands, thumbs softly brushing away the tears on your skin and lashes, forcing you to close your eyes. "We don't need those tears to freeze over. Take your time."
You once again attempted to speak, this time your words successfully coming out to answer the tall man's question. "My car battery- it failed and I couldn't contact anyone. Then I got scared and my phones cracked-." Words spilled out of your lips, motioning towards the phone that still dangled in Rindou's hand.
Ran frowned a bit, looking genuine despite his little care for the situation. Even Rindou couldn't tell if it was real or not.
"Well then, what should we do...". Ran trailed off before glitching as his younger brother spoke up.
"We don't live far from here- you could come back with us. The snow's picking up and we could offer you somewhere to stay for the night." His words were semi rushed and even he felt stupid and regretted his overly kind offer. This wasn't usually like him and Ran looked back at him with a slightly irritated gaze, not wanting to have to take care of you for any longer than necessary.
You ended up hesitantly accepting the offer and staying at their shitty apartment, despite knowing you shouldn't go home with strangers. But part of you trusted the younger Haitani, his demeanor giving you no reason to fear him.
That night you had slept comfortably in Rindou's bed as he stayed out on the couch in the living room. He received a bitter talking to from Ran, who told him that he wasn't going to help him in babysitting you while listening to Rindou try and reason and fathom why he had even invited you back with them. Maybe he was going soft.
After that, Rindou had taken you home the next day when the snow lightened up. He once again found himself doing the unlikely and accepting the offer of giving you his phone number before awkwardly shuffling away from your front door. Your presence became slowly common in the Haitani's apartment despite Ran's initial complaints. You slowly realized that the older Haitani wasn't always the sweet and charming and that it was more of an act in the end. You had never feared someone more than him, you thought. When you accidentally woke him up or ate something of his. He'd look down at you, jaw twitching, mouth opening as if to speak before his lips tightened into a bitter line. "Thank you, It's not as if I wanted to get a good night sleep."
In opposition to him, Rindou turned out to be hot headed on the outside but soft on the inside. He managed to control his temper around you, not being able to find it in himself to be mad at you.
Over time, Ran seemed to adjust to your presence and even slowly warm up to you. He found joy in making fun of you or teasing you, leaving you sputtering or trying to throw insults back at him. He could imagine you as a small angry cat, hair bristling in response to his words but unable to do anything in response. Yet you somehow always managed to get him back in the form of bothering him, opening the door to his bedroom at night and crawling under his covers to find him. His jaw would clench in annoyance as you pulled him away from the sleep he so desired before turning to allow you to snuggle up in his form. "You're so annoying." He grunted, allowing you to squirm and find a comfortable position in his chest.
When you weren't seeking Ran's affection, you were showing your own to the younger Haitani who seemed just as touched starved as you used to be. He tensed under your hands and complained but never stopped you, deep down enjoying the comfort you provided him. For once, he felt equally appreciated as his brother. He found himself jealous at some points but you had a way of noticing and including him in every way. Despite how traumatic that night had been, slowly it became a dear memory to you, the night you had met the two most important people in your life.
Ran seemed to be enjoying the sweet alone time he was getting with you on his stupid makeshift cough, as you giggled at the stupid drama being played on the screen. But tensed up as he heard footsteps moving down the hall and approaching the door. "Should have locked it." He muttered as the door opened without a single knock, the younger Haitani looking into the room and frowning at the two of you all cuddled up. "Warm yet?" He said bitterly, earning a scrutinizing look from you, "You are the one who told me not to bother you and said I was too cold. " You mocked him, sending a grumpy frown onto his lips as he let himself in.
Ran groaned slightly, holding you tightly in his lap. "Get out of my room, runt." He spoke casually as if Rindou was under him, yet still earning a glare from you. "Hay, don't speak to him like that." Ran ignored your scolding, face blank as he stared at the screen, any amusement having faded from his lips. Despite your mocking of Rindou, you were now reaching towards him as he shut the door and approached the couch, sitting down and allowing space between him and his brother so that you could fight your way out of Ran's hold. Who decided it wasn't worth the effort and allowed you to crawl off his lap and throw your arms around his younger brother, beginning to pepper his cheeks with soft kisses. "My sweet boy." You cooed, Ran snickering slightly at your gushy affection towards his brother.
Rindou frowned, face flushing a red color due to your babying of him and his brother having a front row seat to it. "Don't call me that." He muttered, trying to push your face away, yet not putting much strength into his attempt. You placed a few more kisses on his cheeks and his nose before pulling away and smiling. "Look." You motioned, pulling Ran's attention away from the screen and holding Rindou's gaze. "I have both of my favorite boys."

Notes:
LADY, moved to May 1884: Lady Frances Carfax originally disappeared (sorry) in Spring 1901. After discussions started by LFW reaching it, I've decided it makes more sense pre-Hiatus and early(ish) in the canon.
COPP, moved to Spring 1886: The Copper Beeches originally sat in the spot now occupied by Lady Frances in Spring 1884. I shifted it ahead by two years because Holmes needs more time to get sick of young lady clients.
SILV: Please do not @ me about Silver Blaze. It's my chronology and I only care about publication dates when it's funny/historical.
REDC: I'm still unhappy with The Red Circle being in December 1894. If anyone has any better ideas for when it takes place, I'm all ears.

Whumptober day nine!
Y’all remember that town from the FS manga that blamed Red for burning it down? What if Four had to go back there? What if they remembered him?
1372 words
Warnings for (fist)fighting and very brief drunkenness that’s not really described and only a character mentioned once.
“You ok, Smithy?” He asks, just getting a small nod.
“Just… don’t like this town much.” Four mutters, sighing.
He forces a smile. “You don’t like any town.”
Four forces a small twitch of the lips. “Touche, Rancher.”
Their conversation is cut short as they walk into the tavern, Four’s lips pressing together as people glance at them. “Leave. Now.” Four hisses, arm grabbing his.
Before he can respond-
“Hey- Isn’t that the kid that burned down the town last year?”
Four freezes, eyes widening.
He looks down at the smith, frowning.
The whole tavern seems to look at the smith, too, heads craning.
“He looks a little different.”
“Got older is all. That’s him.”
“It wasn’t me. You’ve got the wrong person.” Four says, eyes glancing carefully around the pub.
“You’re a liar!” One man roars, face red and drunken. “We saw you with that firerod!”
“I mean no harm, I’ll leave if you wish-”
“Damn right you will, once I’m finished with you…”
Four’s grey eyes glance up at him. “Twi. Leave.”
“Yeah, right, Four, these people-”
“Let me handle it. Leave.” Four says, still oddly calm.
He hesitates. “Come on, Smithy, have some sense, it’ll be one on-”
“Twi. Leave.” Four repeats. “Get the others and go. Get away from here.”
“Four-”
But the smith turns, pulling a blade out of his belt and twirling it carefully in his hand.
“I don’t want to cause any harm. But I will if you make me. Let me leave and no one has to get hurt.” Four says, voice carrying through the tavern.
The original man laughs. “My wife died in that fire, kid. I’d like some revenge.”
“It. Wasn’t. Me.” Four says slowly, eyes flashing blue.
Then a lot of people are yelling- about things they lost, people who died, blaming Four, insisting Four set the fire, calling him nasty names.
The first person to get physical is a man who’d been watching from the corner, standing and slowly inching closer to Four.
Then rushes at him.
Four dodges the first blow, ducking underneath the sloppy punch thrown at his head. Unfortunately, the action spurs the others into motion, too.
Four’s grabbed from behind, a man grabbing his arms and another at his tunic, yanking him back. The smith is too hesitant to use the knife he has. He merely struggles, kicking with his legs and slamming his heel into a man’s knee.
The man swears with a grunt, releasing Four, who quickly goes for the other man but misses.
Takes a punch right to the face, staggering, and he’s grabbed again before he even has a chance to regain his bearings. A punch to the ribs. Another to the face. In the chest, on the arms, wherever people can get a hold of him.
Four finally starts fighting back.
Swings at a man, kicking another, knife flashing in the dim light.
Four places a knee right between a man’s legs, making him wince as the man drops.
Another slash. A man howls in pain.
A kick and man topples, having his legs swept out underneath him.
Four… actually manages really well for a while. Exchanges blows, takes a few hard ones, but dishes far more than he takes.
He’d lost his knife at some point, but he’s doing alright without it. And he hadn’t been using it much to begin with.
It’s not until one woman gets him from behind that he loses his edge- she manages to get behind him, bottle in her hands, smashing it right over his head.
He winces, deciding it’s time to jump in, regardless of Four’s wishes.
The smith staggers, eyes glazing over, dropping to his knees.
And the tavern breaks into cheers.
His blood boils, hands yanking his sword out and shoving people out of the way as he frantically tries to get to the smith.
They absolutely dogpile on the teenager, one man holding Four’s arms once again as another punches, another one kicks, one has gotten the knife Four had dropped-
His mind flashes white.
“Leave him alone!” He growls, twirling his sword. Much to his satisfaction, many of the others stare in surprise at him and quickly back away.
He kicks the man holding Four in the chest, hearing the snap of at least a few of his ribs. He staggers, falling to the ground and staying down.
Grabs one of the ones punching the kid, shoving him roughly into the crowd and knocking several of them down.
Makes his way to Four, no one else even going for them.
“Four.” He says quickly, grey eyes dazedly meeting his. “Let’s get out of here.”
He tries to be gentle, but anger and worry make his voice rough. Four flinches.
His blood boils as he takes Four’s arm, getting the smith to his feet, grabbing his sword and leading him out of the tavern.
The scowl on his face keeps anyone else from bothering them- and possibly all their injuries as well.
Four limps heavily, hands grabbing at his side, slightly hunched over as they walk.
His nose is bleeding- likely broken- blood smeared all over his face and dripping down his face onto his clothes, one eye already swollen shut, purple splotches already blossoming over his face and other visible skin.
Leans heavily on him, breathing labored.
He doesn’t stop moving until Four starts coughing, doubling over and blood bubbling out of his mouth. Spitting weakly, hand shakily wiping his mouth.
Then Four’s knees buckle, yelping in pain when he quickly grabs at the smith.
“Sorry- sorry! Goddess, Four, I’m sorry!” He says quickly, easing Four to the ground.
Four gives these raspy, painful sounding gasps, blood coating his lips.
Lung is most likely punctured, he realizes, chest sinking.
“Ok, Smithy, we gotta move, need me to carry you?” He asks, but Four gives no response.
Likely focusing on not suffocating.
Despite that, Four staggers to his feet.
Grimacing, hands- with very broken knuckles- grabbing weakly at his sleeve to stay upright, letting him lead them through town to the others.
“Time!” He shouts upon finding the other, the leader and Wind both turning immediately.
Then the old man rushes to them, already digging through his bag. “Do I even want to know?”
“No way Four got into a bar fight.” Wind cackles, but it stops quickly as Four wheezes.
Time falters as his gaze darts over Four, realizing just how badly he’s injured.
“Goddess,” Time swears. “What happened?”
“Some drunk people thought he burnt the town down- decided they wanted revenge.” He tries as Time comes up empty handed.
“Wars and Legend went to find potions.” Time sighs, turning to Wind.
“On it.” The sailor says immediately, darting off. He eases Four to the ground, the smith wheezing worse.
“Easy, Smithy, slow in, slow out.” He says gently.
Four’s grey eyes flutter.
“Wind will be back. You’ll be ok.” He says softly, using his sleeve to try to wipe some of the blood off his face.
Time produces a rag and some water, cleaning Four’s face off then holding the rag to his still bleeding nose.
“We need to get something on that eye, it looks awful.” Time mutters, testing the temperature of the water. “This is cold enough…”
He provides another rag that Time dampens, holding it to Four’s eye.
Four’s hand weakly tries to knock it away, and they both pause.
The smith gives a weak cough, wincing.
Then another, blood spotting his lips.
“Cough it up, Four, get it out of your lungs.” He mutters, rubbing Four’s back.
Gets a weak groan, but another few coughs.
Time gently wipes the blood away, holding the rag back to his nose.
“Hurts.” Four grits out, eyes squeezing shut as he leans his head back.
His breathing is… awful. Sharp, painful sounding gasps.
“You have to breathe, Four. Slower. In… out…”
“Can’t.”
“Four- nope, c’mon, kid, eyes open, just breathe with me.”
Four slumps against him, giving a sharp hiss under his breath.
“You’re ok, bud, just breathe.” He says softly, hand brushing carefully through Four’s hair. “We’ll get you a potion, you’ll be alright. Wind will be back soon. Just hang on, bud.”
Four gives no response.

Alrighty, so as I have mentioned before, I am switching gears to write a Mandalorian fic. I have finished what I’m calling the Prologue for now (idk if I really like that) but its a little story from a time before the actual fic itself takes place. I hope you enjoy! There will be plenty more Din/Raven where this came from and don’t worry I’ll still write for Hunter from time to time!
Welcome to,
Cyare Verd *Beloved Warrior* The Mandalorian Edition (I know, I know, I’m not original but I suck at titles)
Tumblr media
Prologue - The Encounter
Summary:
This is setting up a little backstory for the beginning of my new fic. There will be fun mood boards for each chapter created my both myself and my wonder friend @lune-de-miel-au-paradis who is hella talented! (Thanks girl 💖) I hope you enjoy and be on the look out for Chapters going forward! If this is something you would like to be tagged in please drop a comment, send me an ask, send a message, whatever fits your fancy 😊 I promise I’ll shut up and we get right to it!
Warnings:
Always gunna put 18+, violence and thats bout it for now. Smut will be in the actually fic itself but I’ll post the warning accordingly. Also, If I miss something I’m sorry, I’m not very good at warnings 😅 There will be Mando’a but ya girl always provides a translation so have no fear.
————
The entire time I've been looking for this bounty, someone else is a few steps behind me. How do I know? Well I backtracked and paid a bar keep to get ahold of me with any information about someone asking about the individual I had. The Twi-Lek contacted me only hours later with a description. She sounded worried but not for me when she said "All I know is he looked just like you." Two Mandalorians hunting the same bounty? Strange but not completely out of the ordinary. I mean a lot of our people resorted to bounty hunting, with our skill sets and love for getting into fights makes us the best at the job. I decided I would make my way back and tail him for a bit, seeing if he took the bait. Thanks to my cunning wit he did.
This must be the one the barkeep was talking about - I think to myself. A Mandalorian man walks a few paces ahead of me covered in mismatched pieces of armor topped off with a shiny chrome helmet. I chuckle to myself, knowing that because of my cloak he won't know who or what I am. He stops momentarily like he's aware of my presence but little does he know, I'm a master of hiding in the shadows. Spinning around on his heel he walks my direction, hand hovering over his side arm. I take the opportunity to slip further into the dark, down an alley. He stops in almost the exact spot I was only moments ago. Now that he's closer I can now get a good look at his stature, he's taller than me and definitely more muscular.
His shiny helmeted head slowly looks my way down the alley - so he's smart...I'll give him that. Taking a few cautious steps, he makes his way towards me. I climb up onto the rooftop of the short building next to me. He should paint that armor, he sticks out like a Bantha in the ocean of sand on Tatooine. Smirking to myself I wait until he is directly below me before clearing my throat. He immediately looks up, drawing his blaster taking a shot at me. Crossing both vambraces in front of me, the bolt pings off my armor, breaking the cold dark silence of the night with a loud crack.
As if time stood still, I jump down in front of him and one hand connects with the elbow of his outstretched arm causing it to bend, pointing his blaster away from me. Using my other hand, I free the blaster from his grip sending it somewhere into the shadows. He counters with a left hook which passes over my head as I duck, rolling back into the shadows. He loses track of me and frantically spins around preparing for my next move.
I slink around him in the darkness just out of his view, like a predator circling its prey. He reaches up in a slow careful movement, for his vambrace likely to change the setting on his HUD - I would do the same. To stop him, I crouch and in one swift movement of my foot I catch his ankle, pulling hard, and sending him to the ground face first with a grunt. Standing to my full height, I can't help the chuckle that escapes watching the large man hit the ground by my hand...or foot.
His head snaps in my direction and I'm immediately full of regret. Using his whip cord, he grabs my leg pulling me flat on my back into the light. I hit the ground so hard it knocked the wind out of me. Next thing I know, he's standing over me staring down at me through his visor. His body language shifts and I realize why, my hood fell while I was being pulled to the ground exposing my helmeted head. Slamming my fist and throwing my head back on the ground, a string of curses in Mando'a leave my lips. When I pick my head back up, he is still standing there staring down at me, the T-snapped visor is almost menacing at this angle.
"You could at least help a girl up" my sassy tone, exaggerated by my helmets modulator.
He offers me a hand, I take it and he pulls me to my feet.
"I'm sorry if I had known—"
"You weren't supposed to" I cut him off, my tone annoyed "Kinda the point of the hood." I'm not sure what annoys me more, his reaction or the fact he actually got one over on me. I brush myself off and straighten out my Kama. Looking up, I realize he is watching my every move.
I break the silence, getting right to the point "So you've been tracking me? Or my bounty at least. Why?"
"Quite honestly, I didn't know I was tracking you. You cover your tracks well." He compliments me and for a moment my pride swells. I didn't work this hard to become the expert I am just to have some di'kut (fool) ruin it. He pulls out a bounty puck from his pocket, showing it to me. It displays the face of the same man I'm hunting.
"Well I hate to break it to you, but I was here first." I say, poking him square in the chest plate. Now with how close we are and standing still, I can see how worn his armor is. It probably belonged to a family member of his or something. Although with the shiny shoulder pauldron and helmet, it makes me wonder if he's a foundling. They often use whatever armor they can find or are given until they can make their own. These days however, beskar is quite difficult to come by.
His voice pulls me from my thoughts, "How about we work together. Share the profits?"
I immediately scoff, crossing my arms over my chest and shifting my weight to one leg. "I don't think so. I work alone. Plus I'd be taking a pay cut."
"Your loss" He says monotone before turning to pick his blaster up before walking away.
I'm taken aback by his comment. Does he really think he's better than me? One of my biggest downfalls is people doubting me just because I'm a woman.
"You know...the last man to doubt me ended up with a broken nose and stitches."
He continues walking as if he didn't hear me, but I know he did. "Te jatne beroya kelir parjir (may the best bounty hunter win)" I whisper under my breath. Flipping my hood back over my head, I storm off in the opposite direction he went.
Cursing to myself in my native tongue, I take a few moments to collect myself from the encounter and get back to work. Before the Twi-lek had gotten a hold of me about my tail, I had tracked the bounty to a small village a few kicks due north. It's quite a distance to walk but I really don't feel the need to take my ship there. Thankfully I've stashed my speeder bike on board, it makes for tight living quarters but it works I guess.
Once I reach my ship, I give the bike a quick once over before dragging it down the ramp. Giving it a quick start, it seems to be running fine. I hop on and speed off towards the small down, in hopes my counterpart hasn't already caught on. Luckily for me, I paid the Twi-lek a little extra to send him astray.
———
By the time I make it to the village, the early morning sun is beginning to brighten the sky. The village also appears to be waking up which is perfect. A few people are milling around giving me strange looks and at first they are stand offish - which really is not a surprise to me...people seem to be afraid of Mandalorians. I approach an older woman who doesn't seem to be bothered by my presence.
"Excuse me, I'm sorry to bother you but I'm looking for someone and was wondering if you might help me?"
She doesn't stop what she's doing and speaks quietly, "Not here...follow me." She turns and heads between two of the small huts.
Leading me into a small hut that appears to be some kind of storage shed, she stops. "I figured it was better we talk here."
I cock my head at her. "The locals around here are uneasy about people asking questions. I think I know exactly who you are looking for. You see there have been mercenaries lurking around."
I don't move or say anything and she continues, "You look like a capable warrior....get rid of them." She must sense that I'm eyeing her.
"You must be wondering why I would trust some stranger...I've heard the stories about Mandalorians...it will be easy work for you and solve our problem."
I offer her a curt nod, "Where can I find them?"
———
Having followed the exact directions the old woman gave me which lead me to a camp just east of the village. I find a good scouting spot and perch myself at the top of a hill near some brush. Using my HUD's thermal scan, I get a read on how many are down there - 12...I've taken out worse...Leaving my perch, I walk towards their camp and they do exactly as I had expected. A group of 2 meet me at the road while 2 others stand guard.
"You lost?" One of them asks. I tilt my visor between the four of them, calculating my move depending on how this conversation goes.
"I asked you a question."
"I heard you" I sass.
Scoffing the man turns to the others laughing.
"Did I say something funny?" I snap, starting to lose my patience.
"This one seems to be a little slow" another one says, his tone mocking me.
"You've got quite the mouth on you, young lady" The first man says walking a circle around me checking out my armor.
I'd take him out right there but there's always a bigger fish. Not only that, he'll get what he deserves,
"No. I'm not lost. I'd like to speak to the one in charge, since it's clearly not you."
After he finishes his circle he stops in front of me with a disgusted look on his face, "Follow me." He leads me into the camp with the others trailing behind.
Stopping at the fire, and the man turns to me "Wait here." He disappears into their ship.
Looking over my shoulder, I make a mental note of where the other 3 are standing behind me. As I look around more come out of the woodwork, coming to a grand total of 10 - someone's paranoid and rightfully so. Just then the man from earlier appears followed by 2 more - one wearing the face of the man on my puck.
"I hear you asked to speak with me" he says, voice booming through the camp.
"There's a bounty out for you. I'm here to collect" my tone is flat, this group seems like one that would get spurred on by irritation.
The bounty takes out a blade and starts walking towards me laughing "Darling..." He starts and drags the flat side of the blade across my chest, to my shoulder, and around my back.
"Wonder how much we could get for armor like that? What'd ya think boys?" There's a series of whoops and hollers.
He stops dragging the blade and leans in to whisper, "or maybe I'll just keep it as a trophy."
I smirk to myself, "Be careful what you wish for" venom dripping from my words.
Sliding my hands down towards my blasters, I get ready to draw them. Just as I'm about to, their leader takes the knife and puts it to my throat, getting in close, "I don't think so."
Kneeing him in the crotch he drops to the ground in pain. Seconds after blaster fire begins to ping off my armor. I let out a low growl that sounded quite feral through my modulator. A few of the mercs begin to drop but not by my hand, blaster fire from an unknown source rings out through the air. The men in front of me look around in confusion and I take the opportunity to quickly restrain my bounty and knock him out. I then draw my blaster firing at the 3 closest to me and their bodies slump to the ground. Bending over I grab the blade - that was previously dragged across my armor - and send it flying through the air before burying itself into the chest of the man taunting me earlier.
Getting both myself and my bounty to cover, I make mental note of the direction the blaster fire comes from. Once I figure out where they are, I pick the bounty up - who thankfully is a small human man - throwing him over my shoulder, and racing to my speeder. Putting as much distance between me and the sound of the fight behind me as fast as I can.
Once I get there, I quickly throw him on before starting it up and jumping on myself. A blaster bolt flys over my head and a familiar modulated voice yells something that I can't quite hear over the speeder's engine. Annoyed, I whip my helmeted head around, to see the Mandalorian from last night running in my direction. With a smirk plastered on my face, I speed off towards my ship. Getting away with the bounty we both wanted.
"I guess we know who the better bounty hunter is."

Tell me about the character design for Wild, Shad and Twi.
Let’s just do one character per ask. You’ll see why. This is gonna be for the baby, Wild.
Note: Wild’s current pronouns are they/them. Some stuff from 2020 use he/him for Wild, but Dec 2020 onward, Wild’s pronouns have changed. There may be a time in the future where they use she/her or something else.
GENERAL
I should start off with the original idea for Wild back in 2020. Due to my own artistic limitations, Wild and the other Links were a lot thinner back then. They also looked very similar to each other. Now I make it a point to have the Links look as different from each other as I can. That way when they do look similar in some way, it’s on purpose and not because of any skill issues.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the time I started Ask-LU-Wild, I was still very new to the fandom. But I had written a fanfic series before the Ask blog that I call Poe!Wild. So my original idea of ALUW Wild came from what I imagined Poe!Wild looked like, but with a completely different personality.
When they first met the chain, their hair was heavily singed and their eyebags? Bad. Their scars were also pretty different, along with the length and look of their ears. But everyone’s ears have changed drastically since 2020, that’s an artistic preference turned into actual world building. All of these things have changed over time. Their hair will always change length and look. It’s very fun giving them different styles to wear. Ever since I’ve changed my original brush, I’ve had a hard time figuring out how I want to draw Wild’s eyebags, but they’re still pretty terrible. Their scar pattern has changed and I sadly can’t add the amount of detail to them that I used to without making Wild’s face look cluttered. I'll talk more about their features later.
It was on purpose that Wild looked older than they actually were. Back in the day, I remember Wild acting as if they were an old man, because they kind of feel like one despite being 17. Not only are they 100 years older than they look but Wild IS in a lot of physical pain and is very tired too. But ever since Checking Courage, they’ve looked much younger. Style changes + character development, I suppose.

QUICK NOTES
Wild is the median height of the Links, 4’10 (147.32 cm). They’re very muscular, but also very light.
Straight, thick, blonde hair with white streaks, azure blue eyes, pale. Roundish face. Very sharp teeth.
They have second-third degree burn scars all over their body, mostly on their left side. These are guardian blast scars and have a completely different texture to other burn scars. Their left ear is almost completely black and barely hangs on.
They also have a big scar on their right side caused by a lynel. Malice entered that wound.
There are 2 burn scars on their left shoulder caused by a flame blade
Cautery wound on their right leg
Rough soles and palms, and chipped nails from climbing and running.
Diamond motif, sheikah motif
COLOR SCHEME, THOUGHTS ON THEIR COLORS
I won’t ever use #000000 or #FFFFFF for a character unless they are meant to look uncanny.
Wild’s main colors are blues and yellows, with some white. This is mainly because I wanted Wild to have an aesthetic similar to Sheikah Technology. Their champion’s tunic helps with this, along with the hylian trousers as they are mainly composed of blues, whites, and browns. But they of course wear other clothes so… yeah
Their skin used to be a lot peachier pre-calamity than it is now. This is something that they share with Wars. I decided it was because they both lost their battles against Ganon/Ganondorf and it changed them physically.
Something I added to Wild’s character design during the Checking Courage arc: White streaks in their hair. I think this is a good time to mention that WIld’s middle name Punica means something and was chosen based on things from BotW.
Tumblr media
THE HERO’S CLOTHES Full of Greens, Browns, and Reds. They fit in a lot with the other Links visually with it on. I decided that most/all heroes will have a Farore symbol on their hero clothes, and that started with the Set of the Wild (SotW). Most of them are on the back, close to the collar.
The SotW was a reward from the sheikah monks after completing all 120 shrines. Therefore, there are some sheikah tech symbols on the fabric and leathers. And a metal sheikah eye hangs on the top of the hood. Cap was turned into a hooded cape with braided tassels. Farosh is embroidered on the back. There’s a triforce pin that holds the cape together.
The tunic is made up of several layers: Brown long tunic, green shawl (?), leather breastplate, dark green sleeves, leather arm braces. Their belt has a pouch design for the sheikah slate.
For the pants, they’re just brown shorts. Wilds normally wear bandages on their legs because they chafe. The boots were fun to draw and actually look pretty comfortable to wear?
The set of the wild has to be one of my favorite side projects related to ALUW.
Tumblr media
WILD'S FAMILY Wild is the only Link with a thought-through family history. I’ll just draw them all here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note: These portraits are obviously not contemporary. -Caeras: 29 -Sonya: 39 -Misko: 22 -Wild: 17 -Milo: 66 -Liliaz: 65 -Lucy: 34 -Othinn: 70

Dewy and Cozy
Spoilers for the last two seasons of MLP gen 4
Tumblr media
Now it seems that Cozy getting redeemed is debated on, but whether you think she deserves it or not, or you think she wouldn't bother, I am just having fun and I love me a good redemption arc. Also, this is going on the headcanon that she actually is just a filly.
So Dewy, despite having moved out of the Castle with Luna and eventually marrying her, can't help but think back to Cozy. Despite having been imprisoned by her, Tirek and Chrysalis and doing battle with Cozy specifically, Dewy can't help but feel sympathy. I'm thinking that during their battle, Dewy brings up something about parents and it strikes a nerve with Cozy leading Dewy to suspect that maybe Cozy has got some parent baggage, and Dewy also having parent baggage (she was left at an orphanage when very young with no information about her family and no one came looking for her), the encounter is always at the back of her mind. She begins to wonder that perhaps if she didn't get a positive influence in her life from that local librarian she would have gone down a similar path, and she loved the Nightmare Moon story it seemed all the more possible.
A year or two later, Once everything calms down in her life after moving, settling in a new place and being away from her friends, the wedding, the honeymoon then settling into married life, Cozy and the potential parallels to Dewy's own life becomes more of a constant thought. She can't bear to tell Luna but perhaps going to visit the statue and talking to her friends, maybe even Twilight will help. So she tells Luna she's going to Canterlot for a girls' weekend.
Bramble admits that she also has started feeling bad whenever she passes by the statue, but still, what Cozy did was terrible. Dewy can't help but bring up all their current allies who threatened the world, how Starlight tried to reach out to Chrysalis, Cozy didn't seem to get that. Bramble not sure what to say suggests they just leave it. It's not their place. But Dewy won't take that and arranges to meet with Twilight to hear exactly how everything went down.
She questions Twilight about Cozy's punishment, both the first time and the time now. How she sent her right to Tirek. Did she even attempt to extend a hoof, fight for Cozy to be better like she did for Starlight? Twi says she let Cozy explain herself. Dewy shoots back that's not the same. How Twilight was patient, showing her the mistakes she was making despite how stubborn and cruel she continued to be, getting to the bottom of her motivation that way she could help show her a better way. Twilight argues Cozy was a student, if she was going to change she would have. Dewy says Cozy was different, the mindset Cozy was in, she needed different lessons. Deconstruct that idea that friendship would give her power through manipulation. Twilight falls silent and Dewy can't tell if she just made her angry or if she is actually considering what she said. Dewy, frustrated excuses herself.
She ends up bringing her concerns to Celestia and Luna who also share concerns. Even Luna who got her own redemption. They get into an argument and Dewy decides that maybe she needs some space to calm down. Originally she was going to go back to Canterlot to spend more time with her friends, but then she thinks back to argument with Twilight and thinks maybe Starlight could give her some advice, she'd understand this better than anyone.
Starlight is also hesitant, trusting Twilight and also personally victimized by Cozy, but Dewy pleads with her, reminding her of what Twilight did for her, and what Starlight herself did for the Pony of Shadows. Doesn't Cozy deserve to have some pony do the same? Especially since she's so young. Starlight agrees but bring up the concern of Cozy's manipulation. Dewy assures her that she plans on finding a truth spell or something of the like. Starlight agrees to help search.
Bramble comes around to Dewy's plan and starts helping her research that truth spell. Blaze, though still hesitant can see how much this means to Dewy and agrees to help looking into said truth spell. Starlight ropes in Trixie, tries to rope in Discord but still feeling guilty for his mess up pretending to be Grogar plus he doesn't really have anything to gain anyway.
With everything coming together, Dewy approaches Luna once more. Much calmer now, she admits that she's doing this not just out of the goodness of her heart. Part of it comes from seeing herself in Cozy and a lingering fear that she herself could have turned out like Cozy. Luna can sympathize also having wanted to help many ponies she saw herself in. She listens to Dewy's plan and seeing all the bases covered, agrees to bring it up with Celestia and Twilight.
Eventually they convince Twilight and some of the still hesitant members of the mane six and Cozy is freed. Cozy though scared tries to put on her innocent act, but Dewy and Luna shut that down. "I'm being merciful but not stupid," Dewy says. She explains she wants Cozy to do better, but also knows she's very clever and manipulative. So for the time being, she'll be under a truth spell as they determine if Dewy is right that Cozy can be better. Cozy is not happy about it, but at least she's out.
So Dewy tries her best to get through to her, trying to get her to help around the castle/city, but Cozy is not at all interested and is trying to worm her way out of it all. If anything she tries to cause trouble only to be shut down by Dewy and her friends. Dewy starts to doubt that bringing Cozy back was a good idea. Perhaps Twilight was right that she couldn't be redeemed, at least not now. Cozy ends up overhearing this and she's surprised to find it kind of hurts. As much as she wanted to return to her own plan, it was nice having someone vouch for the real her. But now...
Cozy ends up running away. Even with the truth spell still on her, she knows she's clever and she'll figure something out to regain power. But distracted by what has transpired she ends up running into trouble (still not sure what this trouble it. A monster of some kind probably, but I can't think of one where Cozy wouldn't easily out smart it but anyway...). Dewy comes to her rescue, putting her life on the line to save her. The two end up working together to get out of it.
From then one, Cozy is still a bit of a trouble maker with an ego, but she settles into this more calm life. She slowly opens up to Dewy about her difficult childhood. I read the idea once that Cozy was born to powerful unicorn parents and being a pegasus, they look down on her. I think this really makes sense with the line she says about power types relying on their magic instead of their brain which always gave me a sense of that as much as she craved power, she had a bitterness towards magic. Perhaps that was instilled in her by her parents disappointment in her despite being so clever. Dewy sympathizes with her over her own poor childhood providing further basis for a bond.
Anyway, Cozy makes a real friend for the first time, she ends up healing, gets a found family with Dewy and Cozy. And that's all I got so far other than Cozy ends up becoming a strategist for the royal guard when she is older, but I don't have much details on how she gets there.

alright I've been working on a destiny and LU crossover fic but cause its gotten out of hand and I'm busy with other things right now. I decided to post some of my headcanons about the crossover then the fic later on when I've gotten more written ^^
also since you asked to be tagged when I posted @cloudninetonine/ @shoobirino ✨
For this crossover the reader's taking the place of the young wolf from destiny, the travellers chosen, the fatebreaker, Godslayer.
Guardians are stupidly strong however they are also stupidly reckless, you can't really see death as a risk when you'll just get back up in a few seconds either way
The chain will not however, know this until after player dies right in front of their eyes, since player just assumes they know (based off of how civilians react to guardians here, if no-one reacts why would they assume that the chain will?)
Fun fact Twi’s shadow crystal looks near identical to pyramid tech within the game, so in this the twili were originally sealed for communing with the dark
Like how legend is usually the one suspicious of player, player would not trust twi for having (what they assume) something created by the witness not saying leg will be trusting of them at all
player is suspicious in their own right, and doesn't have the best or any social skills, a given since they're like 8 at max and don't talk to many people outside their own fireteam other than their commanders
(I was so tempted to have their ghost speak for them at first )
about their age as well, guardians can look much older or younger than they are chronologically since they look the same as the day they died before they were resurrected
player gets to bond with wild the most over being dead and loosing all their memories but not wanting to get them back unlike wild.
there are a couple of different ways they could've gotten to hyrule, the one I'm writing is dink taking an interest in how they can wield stasis and other forms of darkness alongside the light, but I've also played with the idea that the vex wanted to get to hyrule for whatever reason
as for "player's" since they are still a player knowledge on the games, They have played some in this AU! Destiny is set in the post apocalypse so they managed to recover some of the games in a playable state (oop I've got an excuse to only write them knowing about only the games I've played)
That's the basics for this AU however I'm good to answer questions about it if anyone is curious

21. Is there any unwritten fic that you don't know if you ever will write?
Omg hiiiiiiiiiiii hi twi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oof, there's way too many to count
I have this habit of writing notes of my ideas, and then never following through, especially if it requires more effort to plot out than what i'm able to give, for lack of skill or time.
I guess, among the many not-even-wips-yet that I have and don't know if I'll ever write, the ones that I care most about are:
Chengxian inuyasha!au where jc gets lost in the woods and ends up back in time, where he meets a sealed yllz. The fic equivalent of the shikon no tama would be the yin tiger seal, and obviously jc would be the reincarnation of sandu shengshou;
Chengxian modern!au where wwx is in a coma because of an accident that also killed jyl and jzx, so jc has to raise jl alone until wwx wakes up. This one is funny to me because i originally wrote 17k of it but for another pairing, and shuangjie were platonic, but then after realizing that i wrote the shuangjie part with much more romantic tension than the other part I decided to scrap it and start over. And i still haven't started over.
Now that I've talked about them, I would really like to begin writing them, but now it's a bit of a weird time so I don't know when I'll be able to get to it, if ever.
Thank you for the ask, I hope you have a lovely day ^^

Ready ? Fight !
I'm shit at writing fight scenes so this is basically practice. I give most of the context in the text, so I don't think I need to say anything beforehand.
Enjoy !
Word count: 3306 Warnings: Violence Wip: The Divine Characters: Rei Yamada, Aiyo, Andie Calinao-Fox, Taki, Timothy Murphy, Oid, Nico Morales, Aman, Mike Chandler, Doto

“Are we there yet?” Doto drawled, stretching out their body across the dashboard.
“Aren’t you the ones guiding us?” Rei said with a puzzled expression.
“We’re giving directions based on feeling, yes. Doesn’t mean we know where they are.”
“We’re getting close, though.” Oid said from her perch on Timothy’s shoulder. She moved her head as if sniffing the air, snout scrunching up every so often. “Take a left, please.”
her instruction sounded more like a request. Either way, Mike complied.
It had been common knowledge that something was up way before the monsters reached Earth to begin wreaking havoc. Understandably so. Several people had voiced their questions regarding their motives, their origins. It had even gotten to the point where internet “detectives” were taking it upon themselves to figure it out. Though obviously, none of them knew what they knew.
None of them had been at the fights. Had seen the strange humanoid figures that were either running from the newly formed monsters, or commonly watching over them from afar. It wasn’t too big of a stretch to assume they were involved in some way, for better or for worse. And tonight, that assumption was to be tested. Grouped up in Mike’s car, the boys drove in whatever direction their Lumens pointed them in. They had finally been able to fully confirm that these beings weren’t human, and so their presence stood out amongst the masses. Almost as if to beacon them closer.
"We have been driving for a while now." Aiyo hummed, sounding more worried than annoyed.
"We'll give it one more hour." Mike said. "If we haven't found anything by then we'll call it a night."
Doto groaned, “But then this will take even longer.”
“Oh come on,” Taki smiled and jumped down from Andie’s shoulder to their knee. “One more road trip isn’t going to kill you.”
“I don’t think this counts as a road trip.” Timothy said, quickly dismissed by Taki. “It’s not about what counts and what doesn’t, but the vibes.” they then perked up, ears pointed straight as if listening to something only they could hear. "Stop the vehicle. And wake up Aman."
Nico gently nudged his Lumen. Aman, who had been sound asleep in his lap for the past few hours, stirred for a moment before abruptly standing. Wide awake and almost alert. “We’re close.”
“Real close.” Aiyo echoed.
"Alright, let's get to it.” Andie grinned. “Twi-"
"We are not transforming in my car." Mike stated and undid his seat belt.
“Yeah, hold off until we give the clear.” Oid said, to which the boys nodded before leaving the car.
They were in the more quiet part of town, with mostly residential buildings and obscure shops that had been running since the 80s. The late hour also meant the area was close to vacant. The majority of the people there were either passing through or gathered in the nearby park. Still, the Lumens kept away in jackets and sweaters.
"Did we ever decide on what to do when we catch this guy?" Nico asked.
"A simple interrogation," Mike said. "We have no reason to fight so, let’s avoid that as best we can."
"Which means we also need to keep them from making a monster." Rei pointed out. Then muttering his addition, "If, you know, our theory is correct and they are responsible for them, that is."
Andie gave an exaggeratedly dreamy sigh, "A mission with no fighting? Oh, this is going to be a good night."
“Don’t jinx it.” Timothy warned.
“I'm not ‘jinxing it’, I'm calling it. This is going to be a good night."
"Hell yeah!" Taki cheered in a loud whisper. They held out their paw for Andie to bump their finger against. Timothy rolled his eyes, but smiled regardless.
They continued to walk aimlessly through the street. Following the occasional direction given by their Lumens.
“Stop.” Doto announced after a while. “We’ve arrived.”
“Then let’s not waste any more time than we need." Mike said. When he’d assured they were alone on the street, he turned to the group. "Ready?"
"Ready!"
“Sun!”
“Twilight!”
“Moon!”
“Aurora!”
“Arcadia!”
“Illuminate us!”
A flash of light and they were in their uniforms. They looked around, scanning for anything that seemed out of the ordinary. Anything that could've been the one alerting their Lumens. A faint howling brought Timothy's attention upward.
"There!" he called, pointing up to the rooftops where a strange figure loomed before disappearing behind the edge.
"Let’s go!" Andie charged, the others following quickly after. With the boost in athleticism their champion form provided they were able to scale the building in no time. Though the being was still way ahead of them.
"What's the plan?" Nico asked as they began the chase over the rooftops.
"Well, we need to catch them and preferably not kill them," Rei began, caught off guard by how quick he was with calling the shots. "So we shouldn’t go for a group attack. Instead, we need to slow them down and keep them down."
"Piece of cake." Andie grinned and turned their head to Mike with a knowing look. The other boy gave a curt nod, flashing a toothy grin. “On it!” teal colors swirled around his hands as he charged up his attack. Quickening his pace, Mike ran ahead of the group for a clear aim. With his hands held out before him, he spoke;
“Dreamer’s Distortion!”
A disk turned like clockwork in the air, before shooting off like an arrow. As if glitching, it changed its form over and over— before hitting its target right in their back. They stumbled to a stop, breathing heavily as the world began to morph around them. Leaving them unable to protect themselves from Andie as they tackled them to the ground.
The being fell to the concrete of the roof with a grunt, glaring sickly as the rest of the boys surrounded them. They looked human, but was clearly not from either of the worlds. Their ears were pointed, their snarl held fangs. And their skin seemed to shimmer, and caused the air around them to flutter strangely.
"Alright," Andie declared. "Who do you work for and what is your deal?"
The being groaned. "None of your business and none of your fucking business."
"Rude." Andie huffed, and Mike nodded in stern agreement.
"'Rude' is whatever the fuck you hit me with, ugh." the being squeezed their eyes shut to ignore the nauseating twists of the world.
"Then you better start answering our questions or it'll only get worse." Timothy said and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Please don't threaten people." Nico whispered to him.
"I'm not. Just, being clear about what's going on. Anyways, why have you been watching us?"
The being tsked, a faint grin tugging at their lips. "It's been 60 years since we last heard of the elusive Champions. I just wanted to see what all the fanfare was about."
"That's bullshit!" Andie interjected. "If that were the case you wouldn't hide in the shadows or behind trees, nor would you stalk on random rooftops. Like, there are way better and less suspicious ways to go about it."
"I have only done one of those."
"We're generalizing." Mike noted. "Because there are more of you, aren't there?"
The being slowly opened their eyes. Dizzy gaze moving across the group as they considered the question.
"Yeah, there are more. But don't think we're running some club together like you are. I do things on my own. Whatever the rest of them do is unimportant to me."
"And what about the monsters?" Mike questioned. "Club or not, you all seem to bring one with you. How?"
"That's an easy one." the being said. They struggled for a moment, before producing a small device from their pocket, held proudly in their hand. “We just use these.”
It was a metal square, with fine engravings and what looked to be a bronze-colored pearl secured in its center.
“Mind explaining what it is?” Timothy pushed. The being gave him a quick look over, before smiling a too calm smile. “Why of course.” they said. Then they threw it. With all the power they had left in their arms.
The device landed a good bit away from them on the rooftop. It lay idle for only a moment before latching onto a nearby roof tile like a magnet. Wires protruded from the engravings, wrapping themselves around the ceramic, and the pearl began to glow. None of the boys had ever seen the monster transformations, only heard about it through word of mouth from news channels and classmates. Standing only meters away from it as it happened, as it constructed its body and slowly gained control, was chilling.
Standing before them, held together by the wires, was a large warrior of ceramic. Its armor was made from roof tiles, with the device held as a centerpiece on its chest plate. Several ceramic shards hovered in the air surrounding it. Compared to the other monsters they’d faced off, this one didn’t seem too intimidating, but Rei knew better than to believe a fight would be easy. He was proven right when the monster made the first move; swiftly shooting off three shards aimed at their group.
They all dove to the side in time to dodge the shards. They buried deep in the concrete of the roof, right where they’d just been situated.
“Well, as much as I’d love to stick around and see how you’ll handle this one,” the being spoke, now suddenly standing on the far edge of the roof with a smug grin. “I have better things to do.”
Rei blinked, “How did you-?”
“Have fun.” the being sang, offering a quick salute before jumping off the edge.
“Oh that is so low!” Andie cursed. They were about to run after when Mike caught their wrist. “We’ll catch them another time. Right now we’ve got a monster to deal with.” and as if on cue, another shard shot through the air between them. Missing by only a small margin.
Andie grumbled, "There goes our good night."
"I told you not to jinx it!" Timothy called from across the roof.
"Oh shut up!"
“Guys, please focus!” Rei said, ducking quickly for an incoming shard.
“Yeah, let’s get this over with as quick as possible.” Andie nodded.
“And try not to damage the device!” Mike added. “There’s no guarantee we’ll be able to get another chance like this.”
“Defeat the monster, don’t break the device.” Timothy echoed. “Got it.”
The ceramic warrior fired off a couple more shards. Each was dodged, however, upon impact with the roof, they each exploded.
“Are you kidding me?” Rei groaned. He then turned to Nico, “We should keep this fight on the roof as best we can. Got any ideas?”
Nico scanned over the roof, quick to note a heap of potted plants. They were practically dead, having seemingly been forgotten about, but it was good enough.
"Count on me, dude." he said before rushing over.
He worked fast, healing the plants enough to be able to properly control them. And with tiles flying overhead he worked to create a tightly woven cage around their temporary arena. Which needed constant reinforcing each time it was struck with projectiles and explosions. Nico panted softly. The cage was taking more aetherium than expected, but it was working. Leaving no chance for the monster to escape and cause more damage than necessary. Even if it did seem more interested in them.
Mike dodged another shard, shielding his face as it exploded. Like with the strange being, using a group attack was off the table. "The device always seems to break when we nullify the monster.” he thought aloud.
“Then why not just separate the two?” Timothy proposed.
“Can we do that?”
“No idea, but I can try.” the device seemed relatively easy to reach; and even if he wouldn't be able to get it off right away, he could still get an idea of how difficult it would be. Which was better than nothing. So Timothy ran for it. Advancing with relative ease, dodging shards with the grace of a dancer. Though as he entered the final stretch, hand reaching for the device, the monster raised his hands— where several shards gathered to form a blade.
A warning howled a moment too late, and the blade came down to strike Timothy across his chest. He screamed, the impact pushing him to land hard on the concrete a bit away. The ceramic warrior held out its hand, sending out another wave of shards toward the ravenette. Rei moved quickly, standing before Timothy with flames swirling by his hands. He thrusted them forward, creating a whirlwind of fire that chewed through the ceramic shards. All except one, which slipped by and crashed into Rei’s upper arm. Rei gasped sharply, legs giving out to bring him to his knees.
“Guys!” Nico rushed towards them, hands still glowing pink from keeping the cage standing. He knelt by them, brows knit in worry. “Are you okay? Is anything broken?”
"Yeah, I'm good." Timothy winced, using one arm to push himself up while the other was wrapped around his chest. "It's going to bruise, but I'm okay. Rei-?"
“Just a bruise. I’m fine.” the boy promised, brushing of the dust from the shirt of his uniform— which was still intact like Timothy’s.
"Alright. Projectiles, explosives, and blades." Mike assessed. "That's quite the arsenal. And none of us has an effective shield."
"Maybe not," Andie said. "But there are still ways to keep it from attacking." without waiting for a response or reaction, they ran towards the monster.
“Chains of Twilight!”
Lightning sparked to life around Andie, manifesting like ropes as their hands curled around them. With a trained flick of their wrist, they had the ropes wrapped around the ceramic warrior’s wrist. Wave after wave of lightning traveled through the monster, keeping it tense and idle.
“Alright!” Andie grinned victoriously. “It’s all free game now-" a shard hit them in the side of their head. Thrown off balance they stumbled, grip loosening enough for the lightning ropes to vanish. And even as Andie managed to somewhat steady themselves, the world wouldn’t stop spinning.
"Andie!"
"What…?" they slowly turned their head, didn't process the approaching blade until it was right before their eyes— caught by a thick root. Andie stared wide-eyed as the monster fought against it. Too caught in their shocked trance, they didn't notice when Rei grabbed their arm and pulled them behind a newly made wall of tightly woven vines. Their only means of protection against the monster’s incoming rampage. Nico dug his feet into the concrete, standing strong and bracing for the onslaught despite the ache in his body. Despite the desperate urge to make sure Andie was okay. Fortunately, Mike took on the task without hesitation.
“You still with us? Can you hear me?” Mike questioned while he helped Andie to sit. He carefully pushed their hair away from where the shard had made impact. Small beads of blood had started to break from the injured skin, steadily blossoming in deep shades of blue.
“Yeah- Yeah I’m fine, I hear you.” Andie groaned, bringing a hand to their forehead. “I just need a moment. Monster can attack even when immobilized. Got it.”
“It was a good plan.” Mike said in earnest, a warm smile on his lips.
“Aww, thank you-” an explosion sounded right behind them as another wave of shards collided with the wall. Mere seconds later the blade struck against it in quick succession. Nico gritted his teeth, sweat beginning to form at his temple.
"At the very least this monster is an idiot." Timothy muttered. Most of them were, but there had been a few exceptions. Resulting in long nights and wounds that had yet to heal. But at least in those fights they could properly attack the monster without worrying about more than the possible collateral damage.
"We're too big targets for it if we keep going one at a time. But we risk damaging the device otherwise." Mike pondered, a crease between his brows as he thought hard on what to do.
"Then let’s not attack at all. We just need to get the device thing off, right?" Rei turned to the rest of the group.
"If that is something we can do, then yes." Timothy said.
"Right. Nico, how much can the cage take?"
Nico took a moment to determine his estimate. "It'll handle the blade and projectiles just fine, more difficult is the explosives. But I should be able to keep it sturdy for a bit longer."
"Good. Mike, can you hold an illusion for us?"
"I sure can." the boy grinned, already catching on to the younger's plan.
Rei nodded, "Alright, here's what we're going to try."
By the time the monster had come to a pause with its rampage, the boys were all in position. Ready to execute the plan.
"Vision of Arcadia!"
Mike spoke as quietly as he could with the words still taking effect. Teal mist swept over the 'arena' like a tidal wave, disorienting the ceramic warrior for just a moment. When it faded, an army of Reis, Andies, and Timothys stood by— all awaiting their cue. The ceramic warrior faltered for a moment. Confused over the sudden increase in numbers. But quickly it called its shards to action. And so too announced the boys’ cue.
They ran towards the monster, shards cascading around them— some burying into the concrete of the roof, others exploding on impact. The ceramic warrior’s blade was just a bit slower. Still, illusions were broken left and right. Vanishing into thick clouds of teal. Luckily, the monster hadn't realized where they were coming from, so Mike could continue sending them in. Wave after wave, overwhelming and no doubt agitating. Even luckier, it had yet to strike the originals.
It came close on several occasions, causing their hearts to race. Rei’s almost stopped when he was first to the goal. The ceramic warrior seemed preoccupied enough with the incoming hoard to its left to miss him. So Rei braved on. He sped up his strides the way Andie had taught him, and made the leap. Finding leverage on the ceramic armor he managed to keep balanced as he wrapped his fingers around the device.
The monster immediately froze. Tensing up as it began shining with a dull bronze glow. When Rei began pulling on it, the device started pulsating as if a beating heart, sending a painful tremble through him. More wires protruded from it, wrapping tightly around his arm and burning against his glove. It protected him from any remaining marks, but the pain still seeped through. Rei gritted his teeth and pulled harder. So too did the device fight harder against him. Tightening the wires, threatening to cut into his skin. Turning the tremble to violent shudders. But Rei pushed through and managed to slowly pry it off from the monster.
And like pulling out a stubborn cable, the device snapped off of the ceramic. The pearl’s glow faded, leaving it a dull brown barely reminiscent of its previous bronze shade. No longer attached to the device, the ceramic warrior fell apart. Returned to its former state as a pile of broken roof tiles.
Rei stumbled slightly when he dropped back down to the roof, static numbing his arm. Nico lowered the cage, reverting the plants to their former states. Albeit more alive and thriving. As the dust began to settle the boys gathered around Rei, staring down at the still intact deceive in his hand. It looked insignificant enough, but they all knew it would lead them one step closer to figuring out what was going on with monsters and the strange beings stalking them.

Wednesday 4/8/22 - Media Recommendations #37
At the start of 2020, my friends and I set aside a day a week to get together and play Dungeons and Dragons. While the four I played with had some experience in D&D, I had never played before, after playing together for 2 years now, I think it's an experience all nerds should take part in.
And since I have grown a light obsession with D&D over the last couple years, I have been lightly keeping up with the latest season of a podcast called Critical Role, and it has only fueled my obsession further. So today let me tell you what Critical Role is all about.
Critical Role
Tumblr media
Just like any other at-home D&D group, Critical Role started out as a group of friends playing a table top RPG. But one day, they decided to upload a recording of their sessions to Twitch, and changed the internet's perception of Dungeons and Dragons.
Keeping up with Critical Role has been a fairly unique experience for me. I do indulge in Podcasts quite often these days, but Critical Role is different to your run of the mill podcast, because there's an overarching plot and narrative.
Unlike my usual recommendations, I can't really give a plot synopsis, since each campaign is hundreds of hours and any major plot detail is a spoiler. But I CAN say that each adventure is a unique and gripping plot that has you keen to listen to the next episode.
Tumblr media
Clara Daly (@ eldritchblep on twitter)
Critical Role explores the original world of Exandria, a fantasy realm of numerous cultures and deep worldbuilding. Each of the three campaign spans different continents across the world, and explore issues of rotten monsters, corrupt organisations, and the meddling of deities beyond their realm. The system is based in Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, and despite how perfectly the plot seems to go sometimes, every session is spontaneous, and largely unplanned by the players.
Tumblr media
@keyvei
The DM Matthew Mercer has collaborated with dozens of other creators to craft a huge world, and there are several 5th Edition source books they have built from this world. Matt also works with his players to craft engaging backstories that have the others at the table, and those watching from home, on the edge of the seats.
I must also commend the players, Sam Reigel, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, Liam O'Bbrien, Marisha Ray, Ashley Johnson, and Taliesin Jaffe on their amazing voice acting and improv skills to make these beautifully enthralling characters with multi faceted personalities and lore.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
@smolspoopy
Despite the concept being a bunch of white nerds doing a very white thing, the world, and community of Critical Role is a bastion of diversity and representation of various cultures, gender and sexual identities, and mental and physical challenges. Both the main cast and guest stars explore a variety of complex issues including PTSD, abuse, body dysphoria, substance dependency, broken homes, and broken souls. And that's just the stuff from campaign 2!
Tumblr media
@starving-and-arting
Finally, I will lay out the actual structure of how one would go about experiencing Critical Role.
At the time of writing, there are 3 campaigns of Critical Role. Each story can be viewed without prior experience, but faithful viewers will get a kick out of Easter eggs and callbacks to earlier parts. Each episode is usually around 4 hours along, with a half hour break somewhere in the middle.
Tumblr media
Campaign One, also known as Vox Machina, is 115 episodes, plus spin-off episodes released later. This series was their first to be broadcasted, and I've been told the production value at the start is not amazing, but it improves. Campaign Two, The Mighty Nein, is 141 episodes. They really hit their stride with this season, and despite the end of the campaign running into the start of the Covid 19 pandemic, it never lost its spark. Campaign Three, Bell's Hells is still ongoing, and at the time of writing, up to episode 28.
All three campaigns are archived on their YouTube Channel, and new episodes are streamed to both YouTube and Twitch on Thursday Nights (Pacific Daylight Time), and then the vod is released on YouTube the following Monday (Tuesday for me).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Subscribe on YouTube or Twitch
I personally have only just finished watching Campaign 2, and am up to date on Campaign 3. I have not watched Campaign 1, but if you are looking for content on that adventure, there is a series on Amazon Prime called the Legend of Vox Machina (reccomended earlier) that chronicles part of that campaign. You can watch the Campaigns in any order, but my personal advice is try to catch up on Campaign 3 at least sooner rather than later, since it is the easiest to catch up on.
Tumblr media
Hope you enjoyed the read, and let me know if you enjoy the reccomendation.
Also, the fanbase, the Critters are amazingly passionate, so check out the artists I tagged on this post, and more if you get the chance.

CAN WE HEAR ABOUT THE TRINE PLS
Also I think you have the asks off on your other account :v
Oh, thank you so much for letting me know! I just turned it on over there!
I presume you mean Nitrobolt, Networth, and Twilight Zone?
And since you didn’t give an emoji or prompt for me I’ll just kinda ramble on about them. :).
Nitrobolt was the first of the three I made, and I made him in either ‘20 or ‘21 - can’t recall. He was originally designed to be something of a Self-Insert for myself, and still kind of is, ironically, considering it’s rare I project or even touch him half the time. I haven’t really decided on an ‘outlier ability’ for him yet, and am considering not giving him one. Nitro is male, going by he/him. He’s more along for the ride, letting Networth do the adventure, and Twilight take the reigns, more taking care of the apartment.
Later - earlier this year - I decided to give him trinemates, so I made Networth and Twilight Zone.
Networth is the youngest of the trine, and they are quite energetic and fun, but definitely so much trouble too. They have the ability to make ‘gates’ between realities, basically dive into the multiverse, and traverse through them. Unfortunately it’s hard for them to control and they’re still learning to master it with their trinemate’s help, which often leads to accidents and brand new divergences through the multiverse, partially because these rifts are near imperceivable/invisible, so usually Nitro and Twi have to follow to wrangle them in and fix the messes they make. Net is enby, and goes by they/them.
Twilight Zone is the oldest, and Trine Leader, kind of has a unique situation, being kind of like ‘two souls, one body’. So at day usually Twilight is out, and at night normally ‘Zone’ is out. Due to this, their paint & look shifts, along with pronouns/gender identity, basically making them genderfluid; Twi is female, she/her, ‘Zone’ is male, he/him, and in reference to both they/them works. Despite this, Twilight maintains a job as an enforcer in Vos, and acts as leader very well, her working hours just have to be exclusively at day, after dawn, and before dusk arrives.
They act as both trine and lovers, and live together, usually dividing tasks among them. In a way, they kind of each represent something, what? I’m not sure, but something.
And here’s pix of them! :).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nitrobolt is green & cyan, Networth is lavender with heterochromatic optics, and Twilight is the blue & yellow one. ‘Zone’ ‘shift’ is purple and orange.
Hope that answered! ^w^

Have a feeling after her little nap H!twilight’s gonna have a much clearer head to think things through
When Twilight woke up, the first thing she'd originally planned to do was Panic... but now that she'd rested, and had a clearer head. She knew she wasn't getting anywhere... but that didn't mean she couldn't work.
Originally, when a knock came at her door, she was going to ignore it... but realizing that doing so would only make whoever was out there knock more, she decided to get up.
"Hello?"
"Twi?"
To her surprise it was Rarity, Pinkie, and AJ. Her gaze lingered for a little before she nearly closed the door. She... she knew that they hadn't meant to that it was all instinctual, but it still hurt to have her little brother gbe called a monster.
"We're sorry."
Was what stopped her though, especially since it came from AJ.
She gripped the knob as tightly as possible... and she surrendered to her feelings. "Come in."
They had a lot to talk about, she was sure.
However, that was a discussion that would need to be put on hold as another knock came from her upper balcony. A letter from Celestia had arrived, they'd found where Spike was.

What are some characters from MLP that you wished that appeared in EQG before it ended? For example, I was always interested in seeing human Moondancer since I was always interested in how she would’ve fit into Sci-Twi’s life. I also was a Wonderbolts, Soarin and SoarinDash fan back when MLP was still airing, so I was hoping to see the Wonderbolts in EQG and where they stood. And like many others, I wanted to see human Sunset Shimmer and even the “human Dazzlings” (though a lot of people think that they’ve been passed since The Dazzlings been in the human world for centuries).
Human Moondancer could've been interesting, as a shut-in neet in the human world is wholly understandable (you don't even need a tragic backstory for it) and could've balanced out more of the girls with having an introverted nerd-culture focused character that is lacking from the cast.
Soarin and Spitfire were at least in the EQG comics as part of the sports team, but the EQG team did want to try and make EQG more of its own standalone thing and not always borrow characters from MLP. That's why the Shadowbolts were originally going to be 'rival' characters but decided against it (hence why Indigo Zap is just a recolored Lightning Dust).
I did want to see Sunset have an episode in the pony show, that would've been awesome, even if it did go as poorly as the Starlight in EQG episode, just the fact that EQG is acknowledged in MLP would've been really nice.
I would've loved to have seen humanized villains from MLP, even if not in a villain role in EQG. Like, what is human Discord up to? Chrysallis? Sombra? What do they look like? What are their occupations? What kind of personality and lives do they live?
Maybe have the Shadowbolts become a 'real thing' in MLP and use some of the EQG Shadowbolts as inspiration, that could've been cool.
Honestly there's a whole host of potential with two parallel shows running like this, but sadly they went the more 'arms length apart' route for the two shows, which IS a shame. I get why, but still.
Suppose that's what fanfiction is for at the end of the day.
