okay pete’s “i hear prison is cushy” line from bury the bully has been bothering me because like. literally nobody says that. but to me it sounds like pete trying to comfort himself/the others than him being sarcastic. since we don’t know where ted is in this universe (the homeless guy i guess? but also i haven’t watched time bastard yet so idk exactly how that whole thing works) what if ted’s in prison? and before he left or when pete went to visit him he’s being all show and boasting like “yeah, this shit is easy, it’s actually pretty sweet, you don’t have to worry about me”

and realistically pete knows that’s not true, but in a moment of panic and shock he immediately falls back on the lie his brother told him for comfort. just a thought :)

Because if it happens in each timeline separately that means that for the events of npdm Ted had already been missing for 2 years and Peter has gone this long without his brother

Feeling angsty about the Spankoffski Brothers. Like if Time Bastard was in the same universe as NPMD and that means that Ted has been missing for like at least a year or two timeline wise. Especially with the headcannons that Pete lives with Ted and because it’s the start of school when NPMD, because it’s homecoming and not prom, then that probably means that Pete would have to move back in with his parents. And oh god the angst of that, especially if you headcannon that Spankoffski parents suck. Aiebkehworne I’m insane about them.

Just got struck by the thought of a TGWDLM fic where Peter isn't infected early at Beanies, and instead is shepherded around with the rest of the group and Ted goes protective older brother mode over him.

Mayhaps Paul actually recognizes him as Ted's younger sibling at Beanies and (because Pete perpetually is always waiting for his hot chocolate and I could see not liking coffee) he doesn't get gooed.

I just have this image in my head of homeless!Ted recognising Pete out in public. He’s got this sweet little faraway smile on his face as he watches him and mutters “Petey…! That’s my baby brother…!” to no-one. Pete barely even notices him

Or maybe Pete, for once, is the only one in his friend group who decides to actually throw a little bit of spare change into the homeless guy’s cup as they’re all walking by and Ted looks up to thank the kind stranger and realises, and can’t say anything, just stares as Pete keeps walking, until he’s almost out of sight. “Oh…” he picks up the cup to look inside it, then back towards Pete, “Thank you, Petey…”
