07. i hate men (except you two) ☆

writing in-between cuts!

yuuta practically flies to where his friends are, feeling horrible after seeing maki's tweet. he really does make them wait forever sometimes. it's not his fault! he just.. looses track of time... all the time.

"ah, the man of the hour finally arrives." maki teases, sitting up from the bench her and toge were sitting on. out of all his breath, yuuta bends over with his hands on his knees. "yes. here i am, heaving, because you two rushed me." a laugh rises from the boy beside him, paired with a small push. "isn't being dramatic my thing?"

the three begin walking, and yuuta feels as if the whole time, maki's eyes are burning holes into his side. he tries to ignore it until he cant anymore- eventually curiosity (and anxiety) gets the best of him. "why are you staring so much?" he asks, and notices as soon as he turns his head to her, suddenly her eyes are fixated on the sidewalk in front of them instead. she sighs, "i'm just shocked you didn't invite y/n, i was kinda hoping you would ask if she could come." yuuta stays silent, utterly confused. was it wrong to not invite her? i mean, we all consider her a friend- but by the way maki worded her text, it seemed like she didn't want her to come..? toge chimes in, realizing yuuta doesn't know what to say next. "yeah, last night, her and nobara were conspiring on the phone about this for like.. hours. you were supposed to invite her, and we were supposed to leave you two alone after a while" now, yuuta is even MORE confused. but, at least he conveys it in words this time. "what? why? i would've invited her, but it seemed like you didn't want her to come!" toge turns around to maki, giving her the most intense 'i told you so' look he's ever given. she brushes him off with a click of her tongue, despite knowing he's right. the rest of maki's words resonate in yuuta's head, and he continues. "also- what do you mean leave us alone?" maki sighs again, and yuuta wishes he could ignore the feeling of guilt pooling inside of him. they had a whole plan, and he'd ruined it. even more so, he unknowingly left out the girl he'd wanted to be with the most. "we're trying to get you to confess having a crush on her already." she says, in a matter-of-fact manner. yuuta scoffs at this point, already feeling like he'd ruined the whole night. "i don't need you guys to conspire for me. if i ever decide to confess to her, i will. getting us alone won't help either-- i was alone with her last night and still had crippling anxiety." the two friends laugh, and practically shrug it off.

"...did i do the wrong thing by not inviting her?"

"yeah, but it's okay."

the facetime call clicks on, and immediately yuuji's voice chimes through. "y/n!!" you laugh, setting your phone up next to you in a way that your friends can see your face. the next person to join the call was nobara, and you can tell she's fresh out of the shower. her hair is wet, and her camera is slightly blurry- from steam, you assume. "what's up bitches! yuuji, are you setting up the server?" an affirmative hum comes from the other end of the line, indicating that he is. nobara's phone gets noticeably closer to her face, and you can only feel like she's examining you.

...of course she is. "y/n, are you alright?" you nod, and smile back at your phone. "i'm okay, nobara. it's really not that big of a deal. they're just going downtown, and like megumi said, they were all friends before i came here." you notice yuuji's face starts to soften from the focused one he had on beforehand, seemingly feeling bad for you, yet not saying anything. she sighs, and puts her phone down to rub a towel through her hair. her voice echoes a bit due to her being far away. "you know, though. last night, maki and i made this big plan for yuuta to invite you out with them. i have no idea what happened to it." before you can respond, the sound of megumi joining the call resonates throughout everyones phones. it gives you a split second to feel an uncertain feeling run through your stomach. "do you think.. she told him about it?" you think out loud at this point, knowing your friends would never judge how you feel. "she very well could have, and he could've hated the idea of it." nobara's head shakes aggressively, and water droplets fly all over the camera. "shit! no- no, y/n. no way she told him, he was supposed to do it on his own accord. i guess he fucked up, i'm sure maki has told him now though." you scoff, "how is that supposed to make me feel better though?! that just means he wasn't even thinking about it." a long groan comes from the other girl once again, and she picks up her phone- her whole face filling the screen. if you weren't upset, you'd be laughing at the sight. "if what i hear from maki is the truth, this guy is literally whipped for you. you have nothing to worry about, he's just an idiot." she puts her phone down again, and walks off to most likely put her towel away. the call goes silent, and to the other two boys, it's obvious you're thinking to yourself. her and maki talk about me and yuuta? well, i'd be surprised if they didn't, but they think he likes me back? there's no way in hell he does if he forgot about me. you put your head in your hands, and now it's your time to groan. except, instead of an annoyed one, it comes out as frustrated and lovesick. "i hate men." you mutter, words muffled by your palms. both yuuji and megumi chime in with a synchronized "hey!" which makes you laugh, pulling your head up. "except for you two."

after playing for what seems like a few hours, a disconnection sound turns everyone's attention back to their phones. "who the hell disconnected?" nobara asks, grabbing her phone at the same time as you. yuuji gasps and begins typing rapidly. "it was megumi!"

you and nobara give eachother a knowing look, before you realize there are unchecked notifications on your phone. "oh, guys- yuuta texted me." your voice seems soft, but not upset. nobara hums, "what did he say?" the sound of phones chiming over the call seems to be her answer, you'd sent a screenshot of it. "i don't think i'm going to answer him.. not right now."

fun facts -> yuuta paced around his room, wondering whether or not he should ask maki if y/n could come. her text seemed passive-aggressive, but he could've just been overthinking it. he ultimately decided against it (despite really wanting her to be there), because he didn't want to make his friends uncomfortable. toge knewwww yuuta would do this after maki sent her text, and tried to convince her to just invite y/n herself. but, being her stubborn self, she didn't. drats!! foiled again :/

since people apparently cant be formal im going to be: we dont use "q!" cuz people kinda dont want to talk abt the server, only spiderbit/guapoduo, so they decided to use "g!" or only "!", and when people are refering to other series they use the first letter of the series for example: "c!roier", i myself dont quite get the g!/! and understand why u dont like people not using "q!" when the universe they talking abt is qsmp

I don't really mind the new tag things? Like, I don't love them, but they're fine. If people want to distance themselves, that's fine. I'm distancing myself. Anybody who's been keeping up with my blog over the past half a year or so can see that I haven't really posted about the QSMP at all since Purgatory started. I haven't talked about Quackity at all outside of that shitshow of an awards ceremony in over a month when, for several years, I was a Quackity-centric blog (2021-early 2023)

My thing with the new tags, and with the Guapoverse thing in general, is that it really just isn't accessible for a larger audience. Sure, some parts of Twitter might understand it, but what about the rest of us?

As far as I can tell, the Guapoverse originated with a Twitter artist (Moone), and it blew up overnight. And I'm overall cool with it! It's a little silly, but so is fandom. I'm a fanfiction writer. Who plays Splatoon for like 4 hours every day. I know silly, and I love it

But then, BAM, I blink and everybody's abandoned the q! and they're changing their tags on Ao3 and making everything suddenly so much harder to find, and it's all about accessibility, isn't it? Like, don't get me wrong, I love a good multiverse, but when it inadvertently excludes a significant portion of the fandom, what are we supposed to do?

Like, say I go on Twitter looking for q!Pac fanart. But now it's so much harder to find because it isn't tagged or typed that way, it's !Pac, and that includes search results from every single au that has a ! in it, like if there was an au called AU!Pac? The !Pac would be in there. But I don't want to see AU!Pac, I want to see q!Pac.

And then there's the g! thingy. Like, that's fine, but a little more widespread of an explanation would've been nice. Like, what au does g! stand for? If you don't know what Guapoverse is, like A LOT OF PEOPLE don't, what are we supposed to think your art is? If we're looking for q!Cellbit art, we aren't necessarily going to like and retweet your art if it's labeled as g!Cellbit because we don't know that he's q!Cellbit.

It's kind of similar on Ao3, only that one's a little different because you can filter by relationship. But let's say you don't know how to do that. Let's say you're new to the website and you only know how to filter by fandom, because that's the first thing you learn how to do on Ao3- it's right there at the top of the front page: Browse By Fandom.

So you go to the QSMP tag looking for fics with Spiderbit/Guapoduo in them. But, here's the thing, you can't find any. Because they aren't being tagged QSMP, they're being tagged Guapoverse now even if the fics are being set in the QSMP setting.

It's just a general lack of fandom accessibility that gets me. I understand the distancing aspect, and I've been waiting for it to happen since the Elections when he Brazilian fandom started getting IMMENSE amounts of hatred from Gringo Chats. But it gets a little tricky when you're part of a fandom as large as this one is. How are we all supposed to share content and talk about things with each other if we can't even find each other anymore?

Like! I've lost so many cool fics I forgot to bookmark because they were taken out of the QSMP tag and moved into the new one! (The new one goes against ToS btw I believe, but go talk to a tag wrangler about that.)

People on Tumblr don't know what the Guapoverse is. TikTok doesn't. Reddit doesn't. Only Twitter does, and only a section of Twitter does. Because I haven't seen any English or French-speaking Guapoduo People talk about the Guapoverse, only Portuguese or Spanish-speaking people. And I get that the exclusion isn't purposeful and that the Guapoverse is meant to sort of heal everybody from the wounds the QSMP left, but I think that maybe even just spreading the news and not... you know... sending death threats and insults and smearing people's names would be better than this.

Thank you for politely asking. I thought I had made myself clear before, but I guess I hadn't.

I'm open to answer any more questions. I can't explain myself to my critics on Twitter, but I can answer your questions here, hopefully.

"Oh my god, it smells amazing in here," your boyfriend Mat exclaimed when you entered the small restaurant.

"I know," you answered, your face lighting up at the familiar scent. "It's my favorite place ever."

The hostess, a close friend of your grandmother, light up when she saw you walk in. "(Y/n)! ia telah begitu lama. Tengok awak. Awak sangat cantik." (It's been so long. Look at you. You're so beautiful.)

You smiled, catching up with her quickly and finally introducing your boyfriend to her.

"Selamat berkenalan," (It’s nice to meet you.) he said, his pronunciation a lot better then when you practiced with him on the plane ride.

When you were finally seated, your favorite table of course, and immediately started looking through the menu. Almost two days ago you and Mat had made it to your home country, Singapore. After a year of dating, you were ready for him to meet your family back home and show him where you spend most of your childhood. Mat was very excited for you to show him everything and was a very good sport when eating all of the cultural foods he was not used to. He loved exploring and expanding his food palate.

"You've already had the chili crab, but this place does it better than anywhere else, so you can have that again if you want." You translated the menu for him, but he wanted something with rice or noodles. "Then I'd do the char kway teow. It's pretty traditional stir fry based dish. I think you'd like it."

"Ok, I might take that then." He looked around more, still deciding on what he's in the mood for.

A server, also someone you knew, then came over to take your orders. You gave her yours, then looked at Mat, unsure if he had made his final decision. "You ready?"

He nodded, then looked at the server. "Saya tolong minta char kway teow." (I will have the char kway teow, please.) Your mouth dropped in shock. How did he just say this sentence, pronouncing the words almost perfectly? The server nodded, then left towards the kitchen.

"What?" He grinned.

"How did you know how to say that?" You were still shocked, but a smile crept over your lips. You had taught him a few words here and there, but not how to say whole sentences.

"Oh, I didn't tell you?," he asked innocently. "I've been taking duolingo lessons since we've planned this trip." That was almost three months ago. Tears coated your eyes when you realized what that meant.

"Mat." He smiled, taking your hand in his.

"I just thought I could impress your family a bit. And you, by the looks of it." You broke out in a small, emotional laugh.

"I want to squeeze the crap out of you right now. And kiss." He laughed and kissed the palm of your hand.

"We can do that later. How about you let me have my last meal first?"

hot take and i cant wait to get proven wrong later

but im pretty sure bbh has no plans on kidnapping anyone other than the federation workers lol, other than acting unnerving and purposefully being suspicious towards other people*. he literally hasn't made any move to actually kidnap someone. moreover there's no benefit to doing so? people keep saying bbh is gonna kidnap them but i feel like people have forgotten that he only took ron for information and unless he can confirm who the spy or leak is, there's no point in him doing so.

i already had my doubts yesterday about the cake cause, it wasn't subtle at all and it was really pushing it which he wouldn't do if he was actually trying to be discreet but he was also handing the cake out to everyone including people who aren't going to brazil and baghera who already knows everything so it makes no sense for her to get kidnapped by him. but im even more convinced cause pac is awake and on the server today, so? unless pac plans on going back to bad and getting more cake and passing out again, im don't think they are actually related? EDIT: pac just ended stream and nothing happened regarding the cake or bbh so they def didnt plan anything

* i think a big plot reason why he's been acting suspcious around tubbo and pac, is that he's currently trying to figure out who on the island is leaking information to the federation (something he'd been investigating for a few streamers now and is also something he's discussed with foolish) and now both pac and tubbo are acting weird and around him and tubbo is acting in defence of the federation which honestly would be weird if you considered it from bbh's pov. like tubbo has only told his close friends that he care about fred, from bbh's pov, tubbo was someone who was very against the federation and wanted to grief and break the rules and is now suddenly caring a lot about them and defending them. which is why i think the information he gave foolish yesterday about bagi and pac is really important cause its meant to showcase that what's hes doing makes sense from his pov. like pac was acting scared and worried and then bbh sees bagi hiding in a tree behind him? whats the logic assumption you'd make there?

tbf tho this is ALOT of speculation on my part and i wont deny thats theres def alot of bias regarding this. im fully ready to get dunked on if he really does kidnap someone later and im also fully aware that bbh is purposefully making himself out to be weird and suspicious from other peoples povs so people thinking the worst of him is to be expected.

I wrote a short retelling of the ending spoilers for a discord server I'm in. And. Oh☹️ they changed how it was portraited. Of course they would☹️

They already changed how Lloyd would view his death– which, by the way, was seriously more tragic when he could FEEL himself die– to it just him being an outsider that can't feel or interact with anything

Novel Javier was holding back tears, trying to comfort Lloyd by telling him to Cheer Up, the doctor will be here soon, he even gave his heart a massage using mana vs Webtoon Javier with tears and sweat rolling down his face trying desperately to prolong Lloyd's life with a mana transfer

Idk the novel scene genuinely made me sad meanwhile the webtoon just made me go 0-0 ohh that cant be good. but. thats it

Like. Just.

Novel Lloyd who arrived at his own conclusion after Javier told him that the hole they dug to throw away all the excreements from the refugees was full even though it wasn't too long ago that they dug it out

vs

Webtoon Lloyd that was literally told to 'Remember Vienna'

Novel Lloyd, who, even in his deathbed, was still trying to comfort Javier by squeezing the hand that was holding him with all the strength he got left vs "Javier... That's enough... It's no use... and you know it... Live on... and burn them..." then promptly passes away

"Cheer up a little. Please. Lloyd-nim. Just hang in there. The doctor will be here soon." vs "You are... the protector of my second home... and a hero to the thousands of refugees you saved. That... is what the world will know you as."

Like. I don't know why this actually irritates me☹️

not only did they completely changed the way lloyd experiences the ending spoilers but y'know what infuriates me the most about this particular spoiler? the way they had lloyd see a good chunk of time after he's already dead. like!! no!!!! one of the most impactful things about the ending spoilers is how fast and abrupt and brutal they are!!

later on lloyd has to carefully time his death to make sure his past self gets to hear and see all the he needs! he can't make it too long lest his word not be included in the spoiler! because the spoilers always end the moment he dies and not a moment later! he gets to experience excruciating death and then the abrupt shock of being thrown back to his own time!

in the webtoon not only does he not get to feel himself die with every spoiler, in episode 70 he even gets to see javier prep his body and burn it along with everyone else's. like. that would've been an insane amount of time compared to the few minutes at best he gets in the novel!

and it's such a cheat to have lloyd leave himself a message at this point of the story! that isn't supposed to happen until the fourth spoiler! you see the progression of lloyd slowly learning to leave more and more clues at the time of his death to the point where by the fifth spoiler he's just outright talking to himself. not like the webtoon that has him leave a message already by the second spoiler :P

and like not to repeat back at you everything but. god. the way they completely changed javier's words,,,, like. not even close to what they were supposed to be...

"You can't... You can't leave me so soon." Javier's voice dripped with sadness and anxiety. Lloyd felt his hand being grabbed. Javier was trembling. This guy. Is he sad because I'm about to die? Lloyd guessed that his teasing friendship with Javier lasted as they grew old together. "Just hold on a little more. Please.” Javier spoke, almost pleading.

the 'you can't leave me so soon' of it all,,,,, why would they completely erase that,,,,,

novel javier is just... softer? the whole scene? instead of the frantic desperation we see in the webtoon, in the novel he's just,,, begging lloyd to hold on just a little longer, just wait for the doctor to arrive, almost keeping lloyd's heart beating himself

Lloyd suddenly felt Javier's grip tighten. At the same time, warm and clean energy flowed into his body. It was mana. Emergency treatment? Lloyd was right about it. Javier was sending his mana to Lloyd, and it traveled from his hand through the elbow to reach his chest, expanding its range at every beat and driving away the murky energy in his system. At the same time, it continuously pressed on his heart. Lloyd realized what Javier was doing. He's massaging my heart. It appeared as though this future Lloyd would draw his last breath anytime soon. Javier was striving hard to extend his life at all costs. Lloyd's heart ached as he noticed how desperate Javier was. "Master Lloyd. Please bear a little more. The physician will be here soon."

it's a different tone, a different kind of desperation if that makes sense

i also really like this chapter's illustration which is not what we get in the webtoon lol

i won't put a screenshot of javier in this episode to compared them cause i'm not that bitchy but. c'mon.

having said all that. i kinda can't bring myself to completely dislike the webtoon's version aklshdjksfds

like. they kinda did go off with javier almost exploding his own heart to give his mana to lloyd,,, and then that panel of his hands clutching lloyd's shirt,,, cradling lloyd's hand in his own,,,, i am not immune to a little clinging,,,

but overall i completely get your irritation nonnie i do have a lot of grievances with the webtoon when it comes to how they're choosing to adapt the ending spoilers so. i get you 〒▽〒

Oh hey, Homestuck 2 updated! I was expecting this to be an 11/11 update since that's a Homestuck arc number, but it's the least important of those by far.

One of the biggest mysteries of Homestuck 2 is who's narrating Candyland with Calliope gone, and the more narration-heavy style of the new team is really calling attention to that. This is very flanderized Jake English dialogue. Also a dramatically more active Jake English than we've seen all...ever?

Under no circumstances can you allow her to get to The Point.

Gonna have fun with that MacGuffin name, huh, writers? It occurs to me that Jake was supposedly a spy the whole time but this is the first indication that he's actually been telling the resistance anything instead of just calling himself a spy as a cope.

I like this art a lot. But also what the hell is Meenah doing here? Last time we saw her, in the epilogues, she was out in space and stole the Ring of Life from John before escaping into a server beacon. Did it lead her into the black hole (lmao get owned), or is this an alternate timeline ghosts? Are her eyes closed in order to drag out that reveal?

JAKE: Shit, sergeant! Cant you add her to the groupcrab? MEENAH: groupcrab MEENAH: cod damn thats good MEENAH: i just been callin em prawnference calls

As fish puns go, "Prawnference calls" is excellent.

MEENAH: idk but hypothetically speaking if i was posted up in my big mean bitch pants just gettin my empress on and you told me insturgeonts were tryin to shore up on some kinda mythic skaian artifact

So, Meenah has her eyes closed to prevent me from knowing if this is the alpha version or a doomed ghost, and now she's dropping very vague hints about what the plot point is. This does feel very homestuck, in that it's teasing out the reveals to maximize speculation. Skaia is, of course, related to SBURB, and thus this is confirmation of the fandom assumption that they're going to start a new game, without actually saying much else.

I have no idea why this air vent is Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff style, but Vriska kicking the sound affect is still funny.

The comedy quotient has increased notably under the new team.

VRISKA: John, she's a Vriska. She can handle herself! I'm sure she can take anything this fake-ass timeline can throw at her! JOHN: what?

Wait, John doesn't know? I thought "Everyone 'knows' candyland is fake and that why they're acting so weird they're just LARPing" was kind of my headcanon for a lot of the weirder candy stuff.

I don't ship them or anything, but this John/Vriska dynamic where John is kind of the oblivious straight man to all this wacky nonsense is one that Homestuck has been very light on since Act 6.

That was a good update. It was funny, it moved the plot along, and it gave us stuff to speculate about! And the art was really good!

Maximus finds an old commercial cc!Cellbit did when he was younger (where he sings) and puts it on loop in a huge screen in front of Cellbit's house in the favela.

Forever and Richarlyson finish the copacabana ocean project and prepare to inagurate it.

Cellbit arrives in the favela with Forever, and a bunch of other people (Foolish, Baghera, Phil, Maximus) are there because Forever is gonna inagurate the new ocean soon (break the blocks stopping the water from filling it). Everyone is singing along to the commercial and Cellbit is mortified. And pissed.

Forever covers the corner of the screen with protected blocks so only he can take it down or stop it, so the commercial is just playing on loop at a loud volume. Forever says since he had to listen to it for days straight while he worked on Copacabana, Cellbit does too. Unless he sings the song. Cellbit refuses.

The ocean inauguration happens. It's awesome, Forever gives a little speech about wanting to show the world the crazy shit brazilians can do and represent a little of our culture to the world.

Cellbit is now wearing some weird futuristic mask.

Cellbit asks and bargains but no one will tell him who did this, every single person just says it wasn't them. Until Richarlyson tells him it was Max.

Cellbit asks Max if it was him, and Max just tells him no.

He can hear the song even from his secret headquarters, and Cellbit says he's moving out.

He calls for Cucurucho, he wants to make a deal.

While he waits for an answer, he goes to Max's AI, SOFIA and restricts everyone's acess by tricking it.

Cucurucho answers him and Cellbit says he wants revenge. If they want to humiliate him by bringing up his past, they're gonna fucking get his past.

He asks Forever to meet him in that one room that mimicks where Cucurucho killed him, and there, with Cucurucho present, he tells him he wants full custody of Richarlyson, and that he doesn't trust anyone at Ordo Theoritas anymore, and is stopping the investigation.

Forever is FURIOUS and takes this as a huge betrayal.

Afterwards, Cellbit tells Richas he doesn't think Forever is capable of protecting him, and writes and gives him a book that the audience doesn't see.

Cell tells Roier he's trying to get Bobby back(lie?? we do not know) and wants him by his side at court.

Forever goes to BBH to ask for his help because his english isn't as good as Cellbit's and he's afraid that's gonna make him lose at the custody hearing.

Cellbit and Richas are attacked by the Binary, he tells Richas to run and he does, but Cell dies and disappears.

Richas tells Forever what happened, and that he's really confused and afraid of everything going on, but he loves all his dads so much. Forever puts him to sleep and calls everyone left on the server (Roier, Max, BBH and Baghera) to meet at Ordem Theoritas. He sits at the head of the table, Cellbit's chair.

Forever is so fucking pissed and confused, he doesn't get why Cellbit is suddenly aligning himself with the Federation, abandoning all his work, all because of the fucking song? He says he hopes it's all a plan to trick Cucurucho and get more info, but he's afraid that it isnt. He tells everyone abt what happened and asks for their help. He says Roier could be useful because Cellbit likes him. And that now that Cellbit stopped investigating Cucurucho, they need all hands on deck.

Forever takes down the commercial and logs out.

Fucking Quackity logs on and tells Richas about Juanaflippa. He says her parents also had a courtcase, and that she died soon after, and as 1% his father, he cant let that happen to him too. He tells him to write letters to his papais and go away with him for a while and come back after they figure themselves out. He does, and they leave by boat.

The other dads are yet to find out Richarlyson left.

Mihai. Mihai my enstars professor mutual. What the heck is going on with ryuseitai

Ok so i read some liveblogs but i havent read comet show or submarine so a lot of references to those were lost on me (im waiting for them to come to engstars) and thus im not the best professor for this story.

But the tldr is that there's an agency in Okinawa (same place Submarine was held in during the ss arc), Crimson Production, that opposes ES's monopoly and that's where a bunch of ex ryuseitai kids have gone to (theyre called Antistars). Tetora goes to help these kids and the media publicizes it as him leaving Ryuseitai. Shinobu goes to find out the truth, talks to Tetora about the opposing ideologies, the next day the news state that he also left Ryuseitai. So the rest of the group go to Okinawa to see what's up. They trespass, Tetora and Chiaki have an argument and fight, but dont worry, Tetora is a spy on the inside of CrimPro and needed to make his loyalty to them believable. Chiaki opens up to Tetora about his time in the war (i realise as i type this how ridiculous this game sounds to an outsider...)

This was a distraction for Kanata and Midori to find and free Shinobu, and to find papers to destroy the company. They get caught. The 5 are reunited inside the agency and Tetora reveals he is a spy for ES but he does genuinely want to help the antistars kids who are mistreated by CrimPro for being former ES idols. So CrimPro are evil and need to be destroyed but im a bit confused at this part ngl. Something something yakuza something something they actually kill people so it's super dangerous (i think this part has a callback to Submarine that im not getting). They cant go to the local police cuz the organization has inflitrated it so the only option for Ryuseitai is to renounce ES and join CrimPro.

While making the announcement theyre actually sending ES secret messages, dangerous stuff if they get caught. Theyre gonna hold a live for CrimPro which is a distraction for ES to intervene, and while theyre preparing for that, Tetora has a self hating monologue about his own skills and merits. He's not being self sacrificial bc he's a hero but bc he doesnt mind putting his life in danger::::)

At the live they discuss about roles and who's the leader. Tetora cant become Chiaki, but he can be his own person with his own skills, and like this maybe he can even surpass Chiaki. They keep their colors but those expectations of having to fill in Chiaki's shoes are going away. So anyway, back to the live, Ryuseitai had secretly sent back to Eichi evidence to condemn CrimPro and now he's ready to bust them down (i dont know if Eichi is there personally with the police or if he's just in charge from above... i assume the latter?)

They tell themselves that they're not harming people but just destroying the environment where the evil had spread (Chiaki compares it to the war, but i think he's being idealistic...people Did get hurt in the war too. There's a cenotaph for the students who killed themselves afterall...) And uh. Then we get to the epilogue, that I haven't seen translated yet. I assume they're successful (imagine if we went through all of this only for someone to die lmao)

So. Ta daa. Thats it. Erm. I know this isnt new to enstars but i feel like things have felt more dangerous and high stakes, especially in the ss arc and 1.5 (negi just. Faked being shot by a hitman. That shit was traumatizing. This is set after that). I dont really know what other stories we could get of Ryuseitai set in our current year if im being honest. This felt like Climax yknow?

Well, im looking forward to translations of this story cuz im not entirely clear on everything just with the livetweets. And looking forward to reading comet show and submarine when they come to the english server. Hope this was helpful^_^

Leverage Redemption Log: The Card Game Job

Ok, time for the show to try and justify its use of playing-cards in the leader i guess? (still waiting for the timebomb) --- Ah, a beautiful establishing shot of a riverside, then a shot of a toppled tree. Nice to see a place get shown rather then hidden behind infinity-point font.

Kids dad is running out of money for their medication, its gotten to the point they need to sell their truck. (Fuck) kid dies within 1 minute of taking the medicine. --- Look I know this guy is scum, but lets not use the "he's pleading the fifth and listening to his lawyer and therefore must be evil" propaganda bullshit, allright? He's evil because he's holding sick childrens lives hostage, not because he's pleading the fifth.

hedge fund primarily made up of his own money? That sounds like a lie. --- Poor Lucy, Not only did she get fucking kidnapped, not only does she have to watch workplace harassment seminar videos but also IT looked into her browsing history? Poor Lucy.

Coffee and Beignets delivered (place your bets for poison?), button-cam in place.

Suck-up is gonna be the achiles heel. (Suck up is also the true mastermind behind the price-gauging) Breanna is placing office bugs.

Guy got second in a TCG once years ago and is still pissed about it. Initial prediction: Sell him a Black Lotus? --- Back from commercials, Breanna is loredumping. Apparently there is a rare and unique card in the castle somewhere. (no one knows what the finder gets outside the card. Im betting its Willy Wonka rules and the finder gets the company) --- They've taken the bait and now legitimately think the company might be for sale.

redirected his e-mail server. Honestly a lot more we could be doing with that. (you know what happens when a hedgefund CEO type doesnt have access to his own e-mail for a day? What can happen if you can send e-mails from his server in his name? I sure as heck dont know but am afraid of the answer)

Ok, either he is actually selling or we're getting counter-conned. (yeah, number 2 is definitly the real power here. We're scamming the wrong mark) --- and we're doing a national-treasure cluehunt. (its gonna suck, cause all the riddles are gonna be clueless riddles about a fictional cardgame we as an audience cant solve.)

Why the slo-mo on the walkout of the theatre? This scene does not ask for that. --- Sad Breanna is sad that Parker wont accept their help. (Parker is acting a bit OOC here, she knows better then to refuse a booklet of passwords)

Harry is here to unionise the securityguards.

Breanna has bought Parker time by attacking his pride and re-focussing him into "proving himself" by playing the actual game (he knows he cant lie about the riddles) Big Thug is off to find Sophie (dont worry, Elliot is with her)

Elliot is not happy that he's being volunteered for a Joust. (weird, i know he likes horses) --- Cordozar is wearing secret Clark Kent glasses to cheat. (When is team leverage gonna catch on that they're conning the wrong mark) --- And "Rage" has killed Elliot's dragon. Ah the classic "its all part of the show" fightscene. Love myself one of those.

Ok its the lake-pond. Nice little thing with harry signing to take the earbuds out for a private talk. --- "you have to be a killer" breanna says one thing he doesnt like and he imediatly calls for a time-out. Look for anyone who wasnt paying attention, obviously this all ends with Mr. Poet not selling his company because his passion has been re-ignited, and may even end with him getting his castle back. But I just want to note how charming it is to see Sophie con a man, not because she is after anything he owns but because she just needs him to be happy and distracted for a bit. --- What do you mean it took Breanna this long to realise she could hack his glasses/earbud thingy or his assistants cardgame-supercomputer... I guess she is new at this like Harry is so it sort of makes sense for her to miss that... --- Climatic "place to belong" community-speech is a bit on the nose and overdone but its a cliche that is overdone for a reason. (guess what, most cliche's are cliche because they work. saying something is cliche is a statement of fact not an insult)

"guess im not that good", nice line. 8.9/10 --- "lets just say the new owners are happy, and even happier to avoid a class action lawsuit". Game night at the theatre. --- Unfortunately this episode did not assist in justifying the sequel series bond-based trailer.

i was talking about this in the worg server the other day but i literally cant stop thinking about this teacher steven au (its super long ehehe):

so imagine an au where two brains becomes steven again and now he has to decide what to do with his new life, though very messed up from the few years of being the city’s most dangerous villain. he can’t go back to being a professor bc his position got filled in his absence so while waiting for another position to open up, he decides to take up a job teaching at the high school (becky’s high school!!)

so now he’s a 10th grade science teacher (biology but he does incorporate chemistry for fun) and he’s trying to do his best but obviously some staff and parents don’t trust him at all bc of his past. he has to prove to them and himself that he’s a good guy and can be trusted to be a beacon of good for the city again.

so like during parent teacher conferences, some parents give him a hard time but his students stand up for him and like him a lot (tho the villain kids still cause trouble of course). he does things like dedicate a lot of time for before school and after school tutoring, making sure to help his students actually understand things and not just do well for tests bc that’s useless irl, and doing a lot of extra things for them to make sure they have at least one person in their lives that cares about their well being (cough cough victoria)...

this also opens the door for him to be a mentor again for becky but now he can be a mentor to even more students! i also really like the idea that he has to accompany his homeroom class to the pep rallies and he literally has no idea whats going on like “what the heck is a touchdown... perhaps sit down and lets study.............” also steven on lunch duty is fun like his students will try to get him to sit with them and when he obviously cant, they go to him and talk to him about whatever (i used to do this with teachers i liked LOL).

and imagine the TERROR that steven is grocery shopping and maybe beckys friend group (including tobey, victoria, and elieen of course ^^) is shopping for a sleepover meal they wanna make like dinner and snacks. and they see him and they immediately approach him and start talking about what theyre doing on that quiet friday evening LOL theyre so excited to tell him about how what theyve learned in class is helping them in the kitchen. he gets super overwhelmed but is very proud of them xD

idk teacher steven is so special to me (ALSO HE DRESSES LIKE THE PRETTY STEVIE DRAWING I POSTED TODAY during picture day, parent teacher confrences, fancy field trips, etc. he’s so PRETTY WAAAHHHHHHH)

long post ahead (i sure hope it does)

whooo boy this ones kinda weird but here we go:

TikTok Has arrived on Hermitcraft! As well as other trends that take Season 9 by storm, one has particularly caught on: ‘I kissed my best friend’.

feel free to continue/continue this au, (though please tag me i wanna see)

it was just a concept that I HAD to write out cus it was eating me alive. Enjoy :)

Mumbo/Grian (but platonic), Etho/Bdubs, Cleo & JoeHills (PLATONIC.), Ren/Doc, Keralis/Xisuma and Grian/Scar

MUMBO AND GRIAN

Its the first thing Grian does when seeing Mumbo back on the server

Literally. the first.

Mumbo climbs out of the server portal sipping a lil milk tea boba with tapioca cus duh.

Scar (subtly filming) and Grian are waiting for him at Spawn when he climbs out, a sideways smile on his face

and Woah!! music starts playing!!

And Mumbo’s smile drops because music and grian are never good signs.

He still has not forgotten that mumbo for mayor song.

And as the beat drops, grian leans forward (pinching mumbos cheeks) and gives him a nice big peck on the lips.

Mumbo is in shock.

And promptly spits out his drink.

Right into Grian’s face.

Grian, to his credit, is not at all offended and rolling on the floor laughing, propped up my scar’s legs who is pretty much bent over, yelling about how he got it on camera, whilst Mumbo is apologising profusely (his moustache is quivering) which makes Grian laugh even more.

ETHUBS :DDD

Bdubs quickly catches onto Grian’s antics (who has been around the server kissing… pretty much everyone (he has been punched multiple times) and then shows Mumbo’s reaction.

So, as he starts playing the song, he’s not surprised to see the sheer unbridled terror in Etho’s eyes as he rapidly turns around, scanning for Grian.

He squints his eyes suspiciously when his eyes land on Bdubs.

Who is simply beaming.

Bdubs slowly approaches him and- devs why is Etho’s face on fire??

On the beat drop, Bdubs leans towards him, all puckered up and-

“Thats when you’re supposed to lean in, too y’know,” He squints at Etho, who’s just standing there.

“Want me to shut my eyes? I can close my eyes.”

So he stands there. Eyes screwed up, pouting. Etho takes a picture and walks away (he later sends it to Iskall (threatening him on the stakes that he would never base near him again to not send it to anyone else).

He can hear Bdubs shouting in the distance.

So later, when the sky is dark and the mask is traded in for bunny slippers, he creeps up the stairs of Bdubs’ monolith (obelisk? i cant remember) and gives him a kiss on the forehead, only letting out a groan when firm hands pulls him into bed, and when Bdubs spoke, his voice was think with sleep.

“You’d better kiss me proper this time, because if you woke me up just for that you’d best start runnin’”

Oh, and what could Etho do but oblige.

JOE AND CLEO

Cleo was sick of the music. Also sick of the remixed music that included several punching noises, grians yelps and cleo’s swear words that seemed to just play around her base whenever Joe was near.

But one day, Joe appeared around the corner with a little less pizazz than she was used to, and as he looked at her, he hit a button on his com, and a softer, sweeter cover of it started playing.

“You now? Really?” She tsked at him, though held out her arms for a slow dance. And though she rolled her eyes when he kissed her on the cheek, she allowed it, twirling him out and dipping him just like they used to in their season 8 castle.

(and if she kissed him back, then no one really needed to know, did they).

REN AND DOC

Doc bites the inside of his cheek, brow furrowed, as he stares down at the quest shard.

This was one of Grian’s fake priority quests, no doubt.

A quest that would make fun of Ren, take diamonds from him and make him all flustered all in one go?

He hums thoughtfully, pocketing the quest (and the hefty diamond prize.) Though Grian had never explicitly said he was against the king (yet), Doc had been on enough seasons with him that he know he was up to something.

And it wasn’t like he was even a citizen, so could he really commit treason? Nope.

It was more like he was waging war.

Besides there was always… something going on with him and Ren. They’d never done anything, per say, but it had always felt like a bit of an inevitability.

He met Ren outside the crastle, who scowled at him as he arrived.

“Doc,” (his tone cold and harsh)

The creeper didn’t say anything, simply throwing Ren the shard and tilting his head.

“I didn’t write this-”

“Pretty desperate, huh?”

“Why are you even doing this quest then?”

“Maybe I need the diamonds,” Doc almost chuckles from his own defence. (Of course he doesn’t need diamonds)

Ren doesn’t seem convinced (as in he sees right through him)

Doc blushes clears his throat because he cant believe he's stooped to this level but he sets up his comm anyway, offering Ren his hand.

“Who says we can’t have that enemies to lovers arc, huh?” Ren smirks as Doc kisses his forehead.

They dance to no music for longer than Doc cares to admit.

KERALIS AND X SHESHWAMY

The music starts playing in the middle of the shopping district, as though someone (probably Brian) had rigged a network of jukeboxes under the very streets and lay in wait for their unsuspecting victim(s). Keralis grabs X’s gloved hand, dragging him behind as he sprints for a safer place to take off

“C’mon, Sheshwamy, we gotta get out of here!” He hisses.

X, with surprising strength, pulls Keralis under a bridge, and they crouch there, listening for any telltale fireworks.

Keralis eventually creeps out, and though the music is still playing, he doesn’t see any Brians flying about looking for kisses, so he goes back to let his Sheshwam know.

Who has his mask off, cheeks pink and grinning lightly at Keralis’ wide (wider) eyes and agape mouth.

“I know its not something I’d usually do,” He says nervously, (and wow Keralis forgets how gorgeous Sheshwam is without his mask (not that he isn’t gorgeous with his mask), his eyes needing to adjust to the beauty. “But-”

Keralis interrupts him by wrapping his arms around Sheshwamy and kissing him hard. X resiprocates happily, moving his arms down to hug Keralis’ hips.

When they finally broke apart, Keralis’ grin matched Bdub’s and X was flushed.

“If that was just for fun, Keralis, I will-”

“Sheshwam, look into my eyes and ask yourself that question again.”

SCAR AND GRIAN

They were at Scar’s starter base when It happens.

Grian’s over, hanging out with (pestering) Scar as he sketches out blueprints, only occasionally giving him actually useful feedback.

(Others are slightly more questionable, such as holding a contest to see who the best princess would be and rigging it so Doc would win)

(he's pretty sure Doc would win anyway)

He’s simply sitting on Scar’s desk, swinging his desk and choosing songs at random to play as Scar works, and he suddenly lands on a song that’s not been heard on the server in a few weeks for no reason.

after an intervention was called.

Scar just smiles, drumming his fingers along to the beat.

“This is where people run y’know,” Grian jokes, a blush coating his face.

Scar smiles along, still engrossed in his work, though the tip of his ears were bright red, “I’ve never ran from you before, have I?”

(This, Grian could correct plenty. Every little skirmish they’ve had had usually ended with Scar scampering off with his tail between his legs.

But. but, not in Life. Not when it got Real. Not when he felt sick, not when Scar was busy - because he’d make time for Grian. He didn’t run when Grian joined a cult last season (albeit for not very long), he didn’t run when the earth beneath them flung itself in the air. He never ran when Grian needed him.)

Did Grian need him now?

(His fingers grazed the underneath of Scar’s chin and he finally looked up.

Scar and his emerald green eyes.

He shuffles closer, tilting Scar closer and he can feel his breath on his nose and see his smile - dazzling - closer than ever, and-)

yes. Grian needs this.

So he closes the gap, and Scar’s grin only grows wider.

BOOM there you go, I know people aren’t written great but I’m busy and don’t have time to watch some hermits so am kinda rusty haha

Hiii!!! I love ur Dead-phone au thing (Where all the dead phones are basically in a limbo server together!!) and I had a couple questions I hoped you could answer!! No pressure ofc, I just rlly adore the concept of the au and wanted to know more abt it :D! 1. How long has this Limbo-like server existed for? I'd guess quite a while but has it kind of always been a thing or did it only come into existence recently? 2. If its existed for awhile, has 4 ever been there? He was only really dead for a short amount of time, but perhaps he caught a glimpse of it? 3. Does Corn man know about the servers existence or is it kind of quietly running in the background? I've kind of been assuming its a server they connected to at some point / some back up server with all their data in it and I think you said it was something like that at some point??? but like if im misremembering anything I'd love to know lmfao :'] Thats kind of all my questions for the meanwhile!! 1. I don't have a specific time frame, but at the very least it has existed long enough for 2G and 3G to have been in there since they died

2. Yes! I had a silly little idea where he and 5 wake up in it, make incredibly awkward eye contact for a few seconds, and then he just evaporates from it when 4S downgrades lol

3. Cobs knows about the server since he set it up and has the Meeples' data backed up to it, but I'm not yet sure if he knows specifically about them being conscious and in a digital-world in there... Either way, they haven't caused any problems, so he leaves them alone

Ok that’s out of the way, yeah alright so he finally did it! Yay for Mumbo!? I am shaking you, Mumbo sweet Mumbo, you gotta wait for him to at least answer you you silly anxious man PLEASE! Please for me please

But no, no he had to run and run and then get so Yoinked and oh god that was the plot twist of all time and the absolute opposite of anything I was expecting and DAMN your writing is incredible

And now I am just sitting in my emotions (and excitedly talking to my friends) and wondering about Grian. Grian whose husband and fiancee stepped into his house on the night before their wedding and confessed his love and then KISSED HIM AND RAN

And no doubt Grian can feel him running, feel him getting farther and farther and then STRETCH THE STRING GOES GOD I CANT EVEN IMAGINE

Grian sitting there in shock and (hopefully) reciprocated emotions and then Mumbo just goes and Fully Dissapears From The Server, the sheer Panic this is going to cause to beloved Grian, the Pain Mumbo is about to endure seeing the beings that literally tortured his best friend and love of his life

Grian is going THROUGH it. I'm half considering writing a one-shot of his POV, but I feel like I write one-shots for near anything I write - at this point, I half have to prove it to myself that I can write without one! (I still might. Especially for what comes next -- getting his POV would be fun!)

I like the idea of everything starting anew in Season 2 solely because the new dsmp members can finally stop being ignored. A lot of people stopped logging onto the server because they didn’t wanna confuse the audience with what was and wasn’t canon

But that unfortunately left the new members to just have nothing to work off of. So much of the lore was started by improv and the new members couldn’t have that same experience so they slowly stopped streaming on the server. Now though they can finally be involved!!!!

I think The Incident, as Tommy calls it, had to happen mainly because of that + a lot of streamers wanted a do over on their lore. They’ve admitted to feeling intimidated, stuck and dealing with scheduling issues that have had to make them drop the stories they wanted to tell

Now that the streamers have more knowledge on how to handle lore and what does and doesn’t work we can finally see more stories. Plus the new scheduling system is coming out so that everyone can stream regularly on the SMP

I’m not saying not to have constructive criticism. It’s important to judge the media you consume and everyone is allowed to have opinions. God knows I have my own feelings on the c!niki and c!wilbur apology stream so I ain’t sitting here happy with everything

It’s understandable if you’re upset by the ending, especially with the interaction between c!Dream and c!tommy. CC!Tommy has stated multiple times that he hates c!dream so I think he’s going somewhere with this that won’t end with the victim forgiving the abuser. I’m okay with waiting it out to see how it goes since I believe it won’t end that way but obviously if you need to step away it’s fine. Put yourself first and don’t let anyone tell you you are overreacting

Everything else though? I feel people have forgotten the roots of this server. It was never meant to be a roleplay, much less explode into such popularity. It’s no wonder its a mess, there was no plan to any of this. The streamers had to learn as they went and then the demand for lore just got higher and higher and higher. People started complaining about the long breaks. People wanted quality AND quantity at the same time. So of course the streamers become stressed.

Everyone says they miss the simple goofy improv from the earliest days but then turn around and get mad when the storyline doesn’t follow a Hollywood budget movie. You wonder why streamers are scared of lore? It’s you guys.

This new server allows the streamers to not be stressed anymore. A lot of them are getting the clean slate they wanted and the chance to just breath for once. I for one cant wait to see Season 2 finally allow the streamers to do what they want now that they understand the ropes.
