"Cursed are those who feel oceans but can express just a drop."

the night sky was always a place you could look up to for comfort. it held the constellations and scattered stars that were a sight to behold. as the god of stars, you felt a much stronger pull toward them. you could always look up from mount olympus and expect to see the creations you so loved.

maybe it was the combination of the stars and oceans that led you to form a bond with the highly feared poseidon. you'd take vast amounts of time to go to the oceans and linger, as if waiting for someone. maybe that's what others would think if they saw you, though you knew better.

you met poseidon while stargazing. he'd come out of his domain for once and didn't bother to acknowledge you, as if you were a mere mortal who didn't deserve his attention.

"..."

it was an awkward situation, one where he just stood and paid you no mind.

"you know, you can have a seat and watch the stars alongside me," you said.

"hm.." was all you heard before there was some shuffling near you and he sat, still equipped with his trident.

"i find that there's a beauty in the stars: the way they can form just about anything and shine so brightly despite everything."

poseidon sat there and let you ramble, even when you swore you were bothering him. he didn't stop you or give you one of his pointed glares to shut you up.

he soon found out you were in fact not a mortal, but instead a god-- a minor god at that. he stopped wondering why he never saw you when he learned of how barely anyone remembered you.

you'd both come to form a friendship, if you could even call it that. it mostly consisted of you talking, while he listened and only said something when necessary. you enjoyed having someone to talk to, even if it was only in the night with only the stars as your witnesses.

poseidon treated you like no other; he'd been willing to abandon his duties if you asked, slay another if you so pleased, anything. it didn't take much for the both of you to become close, bonded like swans.

"hey, don't you ever get tired of just staring at the stars with me?" you asked.

"only a fool would get tired of you," he quickly replied.

you don't know what it was about that sentence that lit a fire in you, but it was burning as bright as the flames created by hephaestus himself. maybe it was how he indirectly admitted to not tiring of you, or maybe it was how he said only a fool would do the former. it didn't matter to you; it was just a moment of realization, realization that you fancied him and only wished for the feelings to be returned.

your meetings had a slight shift that only you felt. you looked forward to seeing him every night even more. there was a feeling bubbling up inside you that always wanted to burst and confess, but you held out. though you were aware of the way you felt for poseidon, you knew you couldn't act on it unless you were sure he felt the same way. you couldn't risk ruining what the both of you had, no matter what your heart told you.

you sought out aphrodite one night, who only served to convince you that the god you yearned for wanted you in the same manner you did him. with the newfound confidence, you got ready to meet with poseidon, who you were determined to make yours.

unbeknownst to you, poseidon did not feel the way you did. he would be lying if he said he didn't find comfort in your friendship, but that was all he thought of it as: a friendship. he thought of himself as too highly for you, too heavenly. he'd never be able to feel the way you did for him, for he'd already found someone to pour his love into.

when you met up for the night, he could instantly tell you were glowing, like one of the various stars you'd pointed out and told him about. you were also more dressed up than usual, as if this was a special occasion.

"hi, i've been waiting for you," you said, feeling like a shy schoolgirl who couldn't ask out their crush. perhaps that's what you were at the moment: nothing more than a person yearning for their loved one to love them back. you hadn't felt like a mortal in so long, it almost felt foreign.

"i see you clearly have somewhere to be," poseidon muttered.

though it was barely audible, you still caught onto it, clinging onto any words he uttered to you.

"no no, i have nowhere to be but by you tonight," you responded, albeit a little too defensively for your liking.

you both then sat and just admired the stars, with the occasional talk coming from you. tonight, you were paying more attention to poseidon: the way he talked and stared, the way his lips occasionally twitched.

"what would you do if you found out you have feelings for someone dear to you?" you randomly asked.

"where's this coming from?" poseidon asked back.

"i find myself in a situation like that and hope for your input," you said.

"in that case, i'd act on them," poseidon replied.

"then, i'd like to act on them. i need something more than friendship between us. i need to be able to comb through your golden locks when night falls, to hold you tightly and not dream of letting go, even when atlas gives out. even when those who reside in tartarus find a way to break free. my heart is written in the stars, searching for yours in a cluster of lonely stars. i'd orbit the sun, the planets, the galaxy to find your love, if you'd give me the privilege of doing so." you intensely said, not caring if it was overwhelming to you. you needed to get your feelings out before you regretted them. though if you knew the truth, you'd come to regret meeting poseidon altogether.

"i do not feel the same way," poseidon calmly said before standing up and leaving. leaving you alone with your heart that was slowly shattering. leaving you with the stars whom you once sought comfort from. leaving you with nothing but the tears slowly forming in your eyes. leaving you with nothing but the stars who cradled your form, as if they could soften the hurt.

Cursed are you who fell hard but wasn't caught.

Being fully honest, Ares just loves when you touch or play with his hair. He loves when you just sit on his lap and take off his helmet and then starts running your fingers through his hair.

It didn’t matter where or when, he would always be there, standing still and letting you do so.

For your S/O, there’s no better thing than knowing you are so in love with him that you would do something like that.

For Ares, this feeling is way more than just love… Being this chill with someone, not even having to say anything… It’s just so unbelievable.

For the GOD OF WAR… You taking off his helmet is a way of saying ‘I love you, as a God, as my partner and as yourself…’ It’s a physical way of showing him that he is loveable and that you stayed for HIM.

With that being said, I believe that Ares wouldn’t mind quite a bit. He thinks it’s cute enough.

"S/o? Why did you stop...? Wait- N-No... I-I wasn't wanting for more... Well, MAYBE I was wanting you to continue..." "Okay... I will admit, I like it very much, my warrior... I just... Can't, your hands are so skilled in everything... And yet, they aren't like mine. Your hands are soft, gentle and it carries no harm to me..." "I feel myself wanting more and more of you each time." - Ares wasn't one to deny that he loves being pampered by you... But, sometimes, he feels like he shouldn't show how much this matters to him... He doesn't want you to feel obligated to do this everyday... He wants you to do it because you like it too...

But - don’t get me wrong tho - He isn’t like that when there’s people around. Not that he is embarrassed, it’s more of a respect thing - If there’s other people in the room, he wouldn’t let this happen… But would cuddle a lot with you afterwards, reassuring you that it was because he isn’t too big in PDA.

He is too ‘shy’... Sometimes.

If anyone says that “It’s okay to do that” while they were there this MAN LITERALLY LOOKS AT YOU WITH PUPPY EYES.

Yet, you always were lost when Ares did that with you too or when he started to kiss your hands… It was just so sweet of him… Unknowing to you, there were three ‘fofoqueiros’ or spies watching your interaction with your partner. Their eyes were focused on the way you treated Ares and how he reacted to every touch. Zeus was in a complete shock! He didn’t expect THIS at all. “Oh- OHHHH- MY SON-” He is cutted by Hermes, suggesting him to be quiet. Hermes was still with a composed and calm facade, even though he was invested in seeing what this could lead into… And poor Heracles was so lost! He covered his own eyes, not wanting to be a third… Or fifth wheel. “…I didn’t expect him to be so in love with this… Person.” Hermes said with a grin, he didn’t see you as nothing less than a… Peasant. “Quite a match.” “…They are so cute! B-But looking is wrong! We should go away!” Heracles said, trying to get out of here without moving, but ended up almost tripping- “Shhh, don’t be the party pooper.” Said Zeus with a big smile. “And be quiet, you two… This old man needs some romantic tea.” Zeus was looking directly at you lovebirds… He was with a sweet yet devilish smile on his face. But inside, he was actually proud of his son - he thinks you are a good catch and he actually doesn't mind this show of affection, he thinks it’s cute and he is actually invested into this relationship. Hermes wasn’t looking at it too much, he was more interested in the reaction of the other 2… He doesn’t actually care about this… [He actually thinks it’s a good fanfiction material that he will write it down later-] Heracles thinks that he shouldn’t even think about prying into your and Ares’s private matters. And they wouldn’t interrupt any one of you- And Heracles would FORCE them to get the fuck out-

Have you read the Record of Ragnarok manga? If so what do you think of their portrayal of Apollo?

Because the manga takes quite a lot of liberty with the myths, I went in with zero expectations but was pleasantly surprised with how it touched upon his ties with boxing, philosophy and Sparta. I've never actually come across any media adaptation of Apollo that goes into those less known aspects of his, so it is refreshing. He's charming, cocky but a very capable deity. And the "know thyself" principle being a part of his personality is really nice. His design is also pretty unique (except for that half choppy - half long hair...Apollo has this hair in at least three different Japanese media and idk why XD) he's beautiful, graceful, has loooong hair, and they didn't hold back from making him a femboy here lol

But I don't know if I vibe much with the way he was turned into some sort of a pacifist, especially with the most famous nemesis of his in the myths. And his character isn't fleshed out much (though this can be said about pretty much every god is in this manga :') ) which I suppose is to be expected in a battle manga. But giving credit where it's due - he has really cool techniques and weapons (and I find it sweet that he named a lot of them after Artemis). Like, I was taken by surprise that they made him a string user, but then I realised that yes, strings are closely associated with him via lyre and bow. I felt like it was a clever idea! And it is fun to watch him fight.

Overall, this depiction is far from being accurate and could definitely use more fleshing out, but I still like this Apollo a lot.

💀 Hades sat reading papers about the deals being made between both the Greek pantheon and others, for some reason Zeus decided to make a deal with Shiva that put them out of order for a week, when a guard of Aphrodite's ran in and began to yell about you

💀 Hearing your name being brought up made him immediately begin the journey to her home in Valhalla

💀 When he saw the healers sigh and shake his head as he stared at them, his heart felt like it stopped, and it basically did, causing him to pass out cold

💀 You were gone. The only light in his life, taken from him like nothing. But you promised to stay by his side forever... you... you promised... you can't just break a promise...

💀 Unlike Poseidon, Hades never reached the final stage of grief, instead, whenever he was alone and didn't have any work to do, he moped and just looked at your wedding photo on his desk, remembering it like it happened yesterday

DISCLAIMER: i’m only rating the characters based off what the manga & anime has portrayed. i’ve done little to no research on these people themselves, which is why i don’t condone anything immoral that they’ve done. this was written before the release of chapter 73+

a/n: i think i wanna do this for every anime + genshin & val. PLS WATCH IT & LMK IF YOU GUYS LIKE IT. also i dont care abt grammatical and/or punctual errors, this is a shit post

MANGA SPOILER WARNING!!

THOR: first of all, he’s so fucking hot. his smile caught me so off guard tho, i kinda just stood there watching the screen, baffled. not much character to him, he’s just hot. 7/10

LU BU: i’m chinese, i literally feel so happy when i see chinese characters. biased, but definitely a plus. he, just like thor, has little to no character. first character i called hot, is hot, but there are hotter characters. (what, i am not talking abt hermes wdym?) 7/10

HERMES: 10/10. no explanation. my man right there. i literally scream & cream every time i see him. why is he so fine. not a single panel or clip where he looks bad. pls eat me out, sir i beg. i will serve you. ONE CHANCE. JUST ONE?? i’m in love with him. who needs real men or women when hermes.

GOLL: she is SO ANNOYING. her eng & jp voice are both annoying asl. she’s that one character, that exists in mostly every anime, used to explain background info & battle info on other characters. brunhilde is too nice on her. she reminds me of when i first saw yachi (haikyuu) on screen. yachi, too, was annoying. but i grew to love her🫶. 1/10

BRUNHILDE: SHES SO HOT. ATE. SHE ALDNAHDISKZ. yeah, what else is there to say? 8/10

APHRODITE: she truly lives up to her version in the greek mythology. hottest woman/goddess alive. ate. her boobs, i want to squish them & bury my face in them. WHEN IS IT MY TURN TO HOLD THEM? 8/10

ZEUS: idgaf what anyone says, he’s not hot. not even his younger self. he looks like mirio (mha) turned netero (hxh). love his character tho. the eyes scared me at first. he’s hilarious. 5/10

ADAM: my friend, the one who recommended snv to me, told me he’d be more my type. he was, minus the fact that’s he literally butt fucking naked. nice ass cheeks tho. def pretty boy, his wife is hot too. i want her more😋. his line abt fighting for his children made me cry. should’ve won. i say, let hermes be uncleless & fatherless. 7/10

POSEIDON: he was fs the blueprint for adam. anywho, yk hes fine. SOOO FINE. meowing for him. he doesn’t beat hermes tho. nobody beats hermes. well, look wise at least. it was rlly hard choosing who to root for in this fight. that’s a lie, i was always on humanity’s side. sad he died:( 9/10. -1 for being a little, arrogant, narcissistic, egotistical bitch. 8/10

SASAKI KOJIRO: see, zeus coulda been hot like him at that old age. man aged like fine wine. character was a W. hot, determined, good character, funny. what else can you want from a man? 8/10

HERACLES: disappointed. so disappointed. he looked better in the disney ver. this fight was so boring for me. you’re telling me i’m supposed to watch the fight instead of ogling at hot characters? no. character was okay. 6/10

JACK THE RIPPER: massive L. not supporting a murderer. next. 0/10

SHIVA: hot from the beginning. 4 arms? do what you want to me, sir. 3 WIVES? tengen (kny), is that you bro?😭 anywho, he’s cocky, def my type irl LMAO. i wouldn’t let that slide tho.. his wives are hot too😋 8/10

RAIDEN TAMEEMON: i paid very little attention to this fight. don’t remember his backstory too well (i read this fight not even 24 hours ago btw). not that good looking, not ugly either. i liked his character, upset he took 3 of shiva’s arms. why 3? why not 2? he got 1 arm left. 4/10

BUDDHA: THATS MY GOD RIGHT THERE. ate. i’m not religious, and neither are my family, but they are buddhist, so by default, i am too. i personally think buddhism is the best religion, but we’re not gonna get into that. i have very valid reasons btw. love his personality, love his looks. massive W. ofc he fights for humanity. he’s a walking W. 9/10

ZEROFUKU: precious. definition of deserved better. what made me sad, is how he was written during the fight. he’s consistently hitting, with little to no strategy. his backstory is sad, but his battle exp was written poorly. also the random ass monster possessing took me tf out. 7/10

HADES: fine ass mf. he’s so different from how he’s usually portrayed, both look & personality wise. the first W netflix has pulled. he’s hot and responsible? persephone, we can share him babes. also, the relationship between him & poseidon made me SOB. like actually. hurt so bad i made an angst edit. 9/10

QIN SHI HUANG: first off, i don’t do research on my own ethnicity’s history. i didn’t even know who tf lu bu was. my family knew tho. with that aside, PROUD TO BE CHINESE❗️ he’s so fine. SO FINE. the way his character was written, was wonderful. i loved the fight between him & hades. the tension & the lengths they went to try & win. 9/10

BEELZEBUB: his backstory was so tragic. what i didn’t like, was how they rushed his & lilith’s story. like, they kinda randomly said i love you to each other. i’d love to see their adventures tgt. lilith, leave that emo thing, and come be w me. he’s fine too. i rlly like how they introduced him. 8/10

NIKOLA TESLA: i don’t have much of an opinion on him. very chatty, which i don’t actually mind. i guess we’ll have to wait for more chapters to release before i form an opinion on him. 5/10

ODIN: the hair bro. THE HAIR. i keep forgetting he exists, but i’m not his biggest fan. not bad, but i prefer his sons. i do like the theory of him being a traitor. he looks the part. 5/10

LOKI: honestly, i liked him a lot in the beginning, but now, it’s like he’s kinda on the side. cute & hot. thor is the better brother tho. speaking of, how tf are they even brothers? moving on, i like his personality. i like his shocked, mixed w angry, facial expressions more. 7/10

ARES: the hair again. very stylish, i do like it, but it took me out. walking around looking like a school girl. i don’t like how he tries to be a know-it-all w hermes, when he literally relies on him for info. but that’s my man for you. his expressions are SO WELL. 6/10

ADAMAS: i was awfully confused, at first, when there were 3 older brothers to zeus. usually, it’s just hades, poseidon & zeus. not his biggest fan, his character was rushed. 4/10

JESUS: i was very happy to see jesus. i’m not sure why, i just was. why is he the only character, THAT LOOKS LIKE THEMSELVES? 9/10

LU BU SIMP AGENCY: 10/10. i don’t need to say anymore. W cheng gong. love that man.
