irt that tweet going around thats like a person being upset that an art piece they were rly proud of didnt get much love: here's my hot take. ppl are missing the point of the post.

its not a matter of op doing art for clout. its the fact that while yes loving ur art and doing it for fun is the most important thing, it is Extremely Fucking Silly to expect everyone to just be ok with not getting much or even NO positive feedback on their work.

i believe as artists we wouldnt get fucking ANYWHERE without support from others. you can say you do art 100% just for fun and for yourself, and while this may be the MAJORITY of the case, theres no way u can tell me u dont feel smth when someone says they like it too. we NEED positive feedback in order to keep going and thrive as artists. str8 up. telling ppl to "not care about likes/shares/attention" is..idk. it feels actually kind of shitty to me, ESPECIALLY when its coming from an artist who gets hundreds of notes on each piece. same energy as a rich person telling poor ppl "money doesnt buy happiness" imo. like ok if you really believe what ur saying why do u post ur own damn art. why do u not just keep it to urself if its just for you and just for fun.

"i post my art bc i love it and want to share it with others" ok so you agree that you feel good when u share ur art with others? that it feels good to know that ppl see ur art and find joy in it? that even tho its not "for attention" its still for positive human interaction?

idk. basically to me its not "op is whining bc their art didnt get notes :/" it's "op is rightfully feeling bad b/c they dont see any support for their art when support is kind of a necessity for healthy artistic growth"

ARCANE X INFECTION ROTTMNT AU

AxI Rottmnt (Arcane x Infection Au) follows the story of Aho, Lee, Donnie, and Ray As the main protagonists.

It follows a very similar story line to Arcane with a few twists! One being the Krang infection (replacing shimmer) as a threat to Topside. The undercity seems to have some form of immunity to it however, making it a wonderful weapon.

All things seem to get worse when Aho, an undercity criminal under the rule of the undercities top dog: Draxum, starts causing havoc as the hex stone is stolen, Leaving a realm of paranoia to be cast at the possibilities it could be used for.

It only gets worse when investigations for the case only dig deeper for finding the true origins of the mystery criminal, Usagi finds a prisoner from Stillwater: Lee who might know more about this then he’s letting on.

Ray, the creator of the hex tech is thrown into panic and responsibilities that she isn’t sure he knows the answers to. Only sinking deeper into trouble as the origins of his past are uprooted, and shown to the world.

While Donnie, leader of the fire lights is desperately trying to keep his people safe and out of trouble, the only one who knew the full story to what truly happened with the hexgem incident.

Follow the story as they unravel their past and future in a bundle of love and hate!

surround yourself with the things you love and romanticise the things you love. the main characters of every show you watch arent all carbon copies of each other, so this works just the same. they are all unique and interesting and have their own comforts and hobbies and interests in the same way we do.

do it for the plot bro... comfort and romanticism go hand in hand, but if youre doing the same thing every day all the time youre gonna get bored. step out of your comfort zone!! live!! you wouldnt wanna watch a show if they just did the same thing every single episode. this is no different. <3

incorporate what you love into your everyday life!! it makes things so much more beautiful when you add pieces of yourself to everywhere you go and leave your mark on the world ♡

make little collages, keep a video diary, write in a journal, anything that keeps a log of your life. you can make it pretty and make it your own and its unique to you. i personally do all 3 of these things cuz it helps me to reflect on how grateful i am for my life when i see it all neatly put together and laid out like that and it makes me so happy to see myself grow and evolve over time 💖

having some sort of art form or hobby is a lovely outlet for both your mental health and the romanticism of ur life 💕 its really soothing and lovely and it doesnt have to be just reading or smth like you see everywhere, it can be painting, dancing, singing, drawing, whatever youd like as long as it makes you happy & brings you joy

be silly, follow your gut, do what you think is right, stand up for yourself, laugh, cry, eat, dance, love, live loudly, please 🫶

canine girl in all her doggy glory!! already posted her design and profile the other day, but i updated her profile and i want all her images in one post.. speaking of her profile, warning warning for talk of violence there more on canine (+ lyrics?!! Woah!!) under the cut:)

canine girl is inspired/an au of my oc alík, but i don't think it'd be wrong to say she's a different character alltogether? while the things she struggles with are things that alík does, too, she's more like.. idk ❤️only i can understand this ...

as you may have guessed by her warning, canine girl has violent intrusive thoughts, and feels extremely guilty for them, even if she never acts out on them. her profile doesnt get too into this .. since she feels that guilt and shame, i don't think she'd wanna share the details online .. or with anybody ever.. you know how it is 💥

her design is smth i struggled with greatly .. her mask is this

and as soon as i saw it on alíks pinterest board i was set on using it and im sooo happy i did!! i think it works greatly..!!! other notable things about her design, that im happy with, are mostly to do with her hoodie. her hoodie-ears are actual ears, shes just hiding them:) and its made to resemble a service dog vest!

you can't really see it in the 'fake screenshot' art, the first one, but she's got a kind of belt (harness ?) around her chest !! its around her shoulders too.. and her chain hanging from that could be interpreted as a leash ig ?? idk 💥💥you'll never understand sinister minds inner workings... another design-y thing is !! shes got her arms around herself in the fake screenshot, which is bc she's hiding her claws from you 💥her eyes are also made to resemblea wolfs:)

her pants are just like that bc its alíks fashion sense 💥and bc i think they fit! and i like them!! a little treat just for me:)

another thing that i wanna talk about is her profile!! its so !! chill !! the colours are warm and inviting, her info there is silly, she invites you to talk with her if you're struggling, shes got fun blinkies.. !! shes just having fun on a site hanging out and chilling .. its like that bc i wanted to show, even if in a little way, that intrusive thoughts arent indicative of a persons identity. canine's intrusive thoughts don't make her a bad person, they don't make her a rabid dog like she thinks, they just make her somebody with intrusive thoughts. shes more than her intrusive thoughts, you know ??

SUN WUKONG INSPIRED OC CONCEPT + design notes under cut

His mask is inspired by makeup used in Chinese theatre and art, specifically makeup used for SWK's character, though simplified a lot for animation/repetition sake.

The design on his back takes inspiration from cobras and other animals that use eye-like patterns as a defense mechanism. The mythical beasts he faces in my story are based on real life predators, which are often ambush predators! When his back isnt covered by cloth, the bright colors on his back and face make it look like he's got eyes in both directions, meaning he can't be ambushed. His back design can and will be simplified for animation/repetition purposes, or covered with clothes. But they're still an important feature... they mean a lot to me.

Was also inspired by his role of protector against foes and ambushes in the original novel, just gives me that "you can't catch me offguard" vibe when I look at eye-designs on animals irl. Cobras my beloved...

He's supposed to have a monolid but I don't think I drew that well (even with references).... I'm trying my best to practice with eyes and while I believe i'm doing good with eye shapes, I need to work on eyelid stuff. Yk?

Dramatic facial expressions are an absolute must during intense scenes! Make him look like he got eliminated on the bachelor during the second to last round, and now he's gotta watch as everyone gets to go to Jamaica (first class flight). Make him look like he's Rick Grimes and his son just got shot. POV He's Walter White gif

Star/flower shaped tail for bonus silhouette sillies! I want him to look really unique compared to my Macaque (who's much more flat and has thinner, scruffier fur.)

His face is also more upturned and rounder than my Macaque's, who has a flatter nose-bridge and slightly more flatter/longer face. SWK's ears are also much more round and fluffy, and his brows are thick and actually exist! Remember: Macaque doesn't have noticeable eyebrows, he just has a noticeable eye-ridge.

His swoop is important. His swoop is very important.

"Where's his circlet?" I'm designing it + its easy to draw furry anthro characters naked for concept art. FYI.

DO NOT DRAW HIM WITH EYEBAGS. The eyebags on Macaque are a distinguishable feature and I don't want SWK to have smth similar! ^^'

I really wanted to make him brightly colored and much more lively/expressive compared to my Six Eared Macaque inspired OC! He's more dramatic, looks younger despite them both being the same age, and is more eye-catching than his counterpart. Hopefully I succeeded in that!

Henlo Anon! With art amma be slow bc I hurt my hand slightly at work yesterday :') but expect it!

Flasharang hc tho? I have few:

- Boomer pouts, like I love him dearly, but he can be pretty childish, but he fully on has to bite his lip to not pout when he's deeply unhappy at smth. Flash, when not Brainiaced, absolutely adores it. After few months of a relationship, he learns to notice the signs of it being hidden and can't help but smile at it. If Boomer will catch him smiling at it, he'll have to fight the need to pout even more.

- Flash, normally, would be pretty affectionate with Boomer. He's not one to hold back with physical or verbal PDA, and while Boomer might be pretty crude and loud, his ginger genes betray him whenever the other decides to give him a quick peck in front of his team or any other hero/villain, and his face turns red in seconds. He tries to act angry about it - he fails.

- Flash would be way sweeter at the start of the relationship, just to be a horrible tease later. No-one would believe Digger when he'd say that, above GL(Hal Jordan ver.) or other people that know Flash enough to be aware of it.

- Digger takes somewhat the most beautiful pictures of Barry and he hates it. He wants an ugly photo for his contact pic! Give him one!

- On the other hand, Bar takes the worst pics of Boomer ever and he really doesn't want to! But somehow his every pic looks like those blurry, chaotic pics of orange or black cats that do smth they shouldn't be doing.

- Flash loves cuddling Digger from behind. He needs to be the big spoon, he needs to count every little freckle and just keep Boomer safe, even if Boomer doesn't need the protection. It's just something small comforting him.

- The first person in the squad who knows about them isn't Harvey, surprisingly, it's Floyd! He's actually so deep in denial about it for first few days he knows, he shoots Digger looks like he killed his dog. Zoey, on the other hand, adores the fact that her silly uncle Boomer has a superhero bf. Boomerang disappeares from the face of earth for two weeks after learning she knows because he doesn't want to talk about it to her. Flash loves little Zoe.

- Hal isn't even in top 10 first people to learn about the relationship, but he absolutely hates it and for first two months or so, he shoots Digger dirty looks and steps in-between the two when he can. Barry is deeply embarrassed and amused at the same time.

- Boomer usually uses Barry's name in a silly, half annoyed half petty way, but when they cuddle in front of TV and Digger falls asleep to his fave cartoon, he sometimes mumbles it in his sleep, softly and wanting, and all Bar can do is fall in love again.

- Hal and Zoey, when they meet on a hang out caused by these two, are the most chaotic duo ever. She deems him her favourite and only likeable Green Lantern. He fights the tears for the whole day out. Floyd still doesn't trust him much, but his daughter trusts him so he'll give him the benefit of doubt.

- Squad and the other closer coworkers, above Shark and Toyboy, make disgusted sounds or kissy sounds at Boomer every time he mentions Flash. One time a random guard tries to give him shit too, but Flag knocks him out right then and there. Only few people can make fun of him, thank you very much.

So that's about all for now! Oh Lords it's a lil more than I planned, but well
