Sketchbook Friday #22

Alternate Title: Megatron Monday but on Friday

Hooo boy all of these are old because I can never get myself to post! I’m pretty sure most of these were drawn before S1B of Earthspark came out for reference

Anyway bring on the villains

Starting off with Mandroid because I have literally two pictures of him and the rest is all Megs! I wanted to get a feel for his character design because I want to make a short animatic (shitpost of course because I am incapable of drawing anything serious) involving him.

Turns out, he’s actually kinda fun to draw. (Maybe that’s just because I’ve been losing my mind trying to draw robots.)

HIM!! I redrew one of my favorite screenshots of him. Perspective didn’t turn out as well as I wanted it to (mainly since I’m still learning perspective akmsksjskd) but otherwise I think it looks great!!

Played around with markers in class and made this. I don’t know if I used a ref either, so I’m pretty proud of this one too!

Angry man. Angry.

And finally, my personal favorite one! Playing with expressions is fun :D

Guess who’s not dead! Also, apologies in advance for the quality on some of these pictures. I haven’t been drawing a lot so some of these doodles are older and the pencil marks have smeared a bit :(

Let’s start off with some other characters since my brain post has been hijacked by a war criminal. I realized I’ve never drawn Arcee before (well, actually I did when I first started trying to draw Transformers and… eugh), so I decided to remedy that!

Of course I had to draw Wheeljack again, and I think this is my best attempt so far! His eyebrows always throw me off lmao

I did not draw as many Megatrons as I originally thought, but this post is still gonna be mostly him. IF SOMEONE COULD PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO DRAW HIS STUPID HELMET THAT WOULD BE GREAT. I’M TRYING TO GET HIM DOWN BUT HE IS BEING VERY DIFFICULT

I did finally draw more than just a bust of him though! I would have drawn all of him if the drawing didn’t turn out so damn big

(If you’re wondering why this is the same pose as my last attempt to draw him, it’s because I used the same ref pic because it’s the easiest one to get his wacky proportions down)
