"i once believed love would be burning red, but it's golden."
————————————————
Now both your sons were in school, you were finally able to take on a full-time job and bring more money in. It had been immensely difficult being limited to only a low-paying part time job for the last five years, but you had needed flexible hours due to your lack of support system when it came to raising your boys. They were a year apart, at four and five, and their father hadn't been in the picture since the third trimester of the youngest's pregnancy.
Your family had turned their backs to you after you fell pregnant so young, out of wedlock, and without a decent job. And Merlin knows your baby daddy's family wanted absolutely nothing to do with you.
It was a shame, because your academics were good, and you had received excellent scores in both your OWLs and NEWTs, originally having big plans for your career. Then your boyfriend at the time baby-trapped you, just to abandon you anyway.
But now your sons were both old enough to enrol in muggle primary school, which was unusual for magic families to do, but it gave you the opportunity to get a better job and create a better life for the both of them. Merlin knows you were too busy to adequately homeschool them in the years before Hogwarts, anyway.
"Well, Miss L/N, you seem more than qualified," the head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement in the Ministry of Magic said to you, "Typically we only have freshly graduated applicants for such positions, though."
"Does that dampen by chances?"
"Not at all," she shook her head, "I see no reason not to hire you, unless there's something you need to tell me?"
You bit your tongue, deciding to not let her on to the fact you had two sons to take care of all by yourself. "No, ma'am."
"Well, perfect. Your hours would be from 8am til 5pm with forty-five minutes paid lunch break that you can take between noon and 2pm."
The hours were long, but you had already signed up your sons for their school's breakfast club every morning, as well as a different extra-curricular after school every day. Thankfully apparition would likely mean you would only be a minute or two late for pick-up.
"When can you start?"
"Immediately," you smiled.
***
While you worked in the department responsible for aurors, you would not be out in the field yourself at any point. You were simply responsible for distributing tasks and filling out and filing the reports after missions. Once upon a time you had wanted to be an auror, but now you had sons who would have no one else if something were to happen to you. You simply couldn't endanger yourself in any way.
The pay of your job was good: good enough to support a family of three and move you out of the one bedroom flat you lived in. You would wait a couple months until you were settled into the job, though, as you still needed to pay off the boys' uniforms and school lunches.
You were sat at your desk on the second day of your job, busy filling out forms for a small mission that had taken place earlier that morning. Ever since Voldemort's demise, there hadn't been any large scale missions. You supposed that was a good thing.
"Oh, you're new."
You looked up in surprise to see the Boy Who Lived stood before you, evidently having just returned from a mission as an auror.
He gave you an awkward smile, "Harry Potter."
You nodded mindlessly with your mouth slightly agape, before coming to your senses and saying, "Y/N. Y/N L/N."
"Nice to meet you."
"You too."
"How long have you worked here?"
"It's my second day."
"Wow, so you're, like, brand new?"
"I... I guess?"
"Let me know if you need anythi-"
"Potter," your supervisor's voice rang out, "My office."
"Shit, sorry, I have a mission debrief to give, we'll talk later?" he said, somewhat hopefully.
"Yeah, later..." you trailed off, staring after him as he walked to the office.
***
It was the end of the day, and you were packing up your belongings ready for your departure at exactly five o'clock.
"Y/N," a person called.
You turned around to see Harry Potter stood before you once more.
"Sorry I didn't have a chance to catch up with you after earlier," he said, "But, uh, do you think... do you think maybe we could go for a drink? It's important to have friends at work, after all."
You were in shock, but still answered, "I'd love to, really - but I have places to be today, I'm afraid."
"Tomorrow night, then?"
"I'm busy then too," you said apologetically.
"Okay, then when are you free?"
Great, now you were going to sound like a massive dick. "Rarely, unfortunately, I have a... chaotic family, you see."
"Right, well... see you tomorrow then."
Yep. He definitely thought you were making up excuses.
***
"I'm not too late, am I?" you asked the teacher that had been supervising the football club your sons had been attending.
"No, the other last kid just left moments ago," he smiled at you.
"Oh, thank Helga," you said without thinking.
The man frowned at your exclamation, but didn't say anything about it.
"Matty, Eric, are you boys ready to go?" you turned to your sons, who both nodded tiredly at you. Your heart dropped at how much the long day wore them out.
You led them around the corner from the primary school until you were out of sight from others, where you apparated to outside your small apartment. Upon entering, you gazed at the cramped space: you couldn't wait to upgrade to a bigger one.
"What's for dinner, mama?" your youngest, Eric, asked.
"I'll cook some pasta, yeah? And then I'll read you a story."
You couldn't fail them. They had to have a different life to you.
***
You didn't see Harry Potter at work again for the next two weeks, as he had been sent on a slightly larger auror mission abroad. But, when he did return, you ran into him almost instantly.
"How was the mission?" you asked immediately.
"Fine," he said dismissively, "Look, I'm sorry for asking you for drinks last time, you clearly didn't want to-"
"No, it's not that I don't want to," you said quickly.
"You don't have to lie to be nice, I shouldn't have asked something like that so soon after meeting you."
You sighed, "I'm not lying, I really am just an exceptionally busy person."
"Busy with what exactly?"
"I- I can't talk about it."
"You-"
That was when the ringing of your mobile phone cut through the air, making you jump slightly. You took the tiny flip phone out of your pocket and exhaled harshly at the sight of who it was. This was exactly why you had bothered getting a phone as a witch, you had just hoped it wouldn't happen so soon
"Sorry, I have to take this."
You began walking away as you answered.
"Hello, Y/N L/N speaking."
"Hello, this is Emily from St Andrew's Primary School," the woman on the other end spoke, "I'm calling on behalf of your son, Eric."
"What happened?"
"He... exhibited peculiar behaviour during a lesson today."
"Why? What did he do?"
"He made a classmate float in the air."
Your breath hitched, "That's not possible."
"I assure you, I'm being quite honest."
"Is this a prank call?" you asked. You knew it wasn't.
You didn't want the Ministry to find out you had enrolled wizards into muggle school. It was advised against for a reason, as they had enough on their plates when it came to dealing with the chaos muggle-borns caused. But, they would have already detected the use of improper magic and sent people to deal with it.
"I-"
"Y/N L/N," a man to your left said.
"If you excuse me," you spoke to the caller, hanging up. They would just think you still thought them a prankster. "Yes?"
"Simon Periwink of the Improper Use of Magic sector, can you come with me please?"
You sighed, "Is this regarding my son?"
He nodded.
"Lead the way."
***
"So as you seem to know, your son, Eric L/N, has caused a bit of a conundrum in a muggle school," Simon said, sat behind his desk with crescent moon glasses perched on his nose, "Now, he is a child, so obviously he will not be facing any consequences for this action. However, I am obliged to ask, why is he in a muggle school?"
"I don't have a choice, sir."
"Just Simon is fine- elaborate, please."
"I'm a single mother to two boys. My family abandoned me after my first pregnancy and my boyfriend upped and left during my second," you explained, although you didn't want to talk about it, "I can't afford childcare - muggle school is free and my only option."
Simon hummed, flicking through pieces of parchment, "I see. Well, I won't prevent this then - thanks to muggle-borns, we're well equipped to deal with these situations. Please, though, talk to your sons about this."
"Yes, sir- Simon. Thank you."
"We also have many support systems in place in the ministry to aid people in similar situations to yourself. Please consider looking into them."
"I will, thank you again."
"No worries - I suppose you should go and pick up your son for now."
You nodded.
***
By the time you arrived at the primary school, you saw that members of the ministry were already there - and, to your horror, Harry Potter.
He quickly spotted you, and raised a confused eyebrow.
"Y/N, what are you doing here?"
"I could ask the same of y-"
"Mama!" your son, evidently in tears, called out. He ran from the ministry member that was comforting him into your arms; you didn't hesitate to pick up your son.
Harry watched as the situation unfolded, piecing everything together in his head, before saying, "They were a member short in the improper use department, so I offered to fill in. Is this your son?"
You hummed, rocking the sobbing boy about.
"I didn't know you were-" he cut himself off, "If I had, I wouldn't have asked you out."
You sighed, "I am single."
"Oh."
"Sorry for hurting your feelings, but I think I need to go pick my other son up too," you said, "Please don't mention this to anyone."
He showed his agreement through an absent-minded nod.
"Bye."
He stared after you as you walked away.
***
After a long chat with both of your sons about resorting to muggle methods in the face of problems instead of magic methods, you reluctantly returned to work the next day, dreading the next interaction between you and Harry Potter. Why was a literal celebrity even working a normal day job anyway?
Taking in a deep breath, you sat down at your desk to begin working your way through the stack of paperwork your manager had already left for you. Just when you had almost forgotten about the man who now knew your biggest work secret, you heard a cough for attention coming from in front of you.
You looked up and saw the exact person you didn't want to see.
"Hey, I just wanted to check up on you after... yesterday."
"Why?"
He seemed taken aback by your response, "Well, you know, I... care about you?"
"You hardly know me," you said pointedly.
"And I would like to change that."
"Potter!" a voice called from the hallway, "Where are you?"
"Coming!" he replied, giving a lingering glance to you but realising you were already focused on your work again.
You felt mean, and you thought he was cute, you just didn't want him to get attached to the mess that you were.
***
"L/N, I need you to stay late today to discuss your progress," your manager said to you later that day, "Don't worry, it's nothing negative."
"Late? Respectfully, I can't do overtime."
"It's hardly overtime. Half an hour, maximum."
"Yes, but-"
"What plans do you have that are so important you must leave exactly at five o'clock?" she raised an eyebrow at you.
"I-" you froze. Should you be honest?
"Y/N," Harry Potter.
You turned away from your manager to the man, pleased at the distraction.
"I can take care of the errand you need to run," he said simply, "It's no bother."
"You can't-"
"Well, it's settled then," your manager smiled, "See you at five in my office."
Once she had walked away, you turned to Harry with a scowl.
"I could've handled that myself!"
"You clearly don't want to admit to the situation," he shrugged, "I'll go pick up your boys, don't worry."
You sighed, "I'll have to call the school to let them know."
"No worries, where should I take them? Back to yours?"
"No!" you quickly said, a little too quickly.
"I'm not gonna judge your living quarters, Y/N."
"Just- I... fine. Fine. Take them back to mine. I'll write down the address for you."
As you handed the paper over, you admitted defeat.
"Thank you, Harry, for this."
"It's my pleasure."
***
You were severely hoping that you hadn't made a stupid decision in trusting Harry with your most prized jewels. He had to be trustworthy, you reasoned, he risked his own life to save the entire world from a horrible and cruel man, after all. As you reached the door to your flat, you took a deep breath before knocking twice. You had given the key to Harry earlier on.
The door quickly flung open to reveal the Boy Who Lived with Eric on his shoulders, who was giggling in a manner you had never seen him before.
"Mama!" he exclaimed, along with his brother, who was by Harry's leg.
"I must admit, I'm normally bad with children," he said as you hugged Matty in greeting.
"Coulda fooled me," you replied, entering the flat.
"Right, I'll get going then-"
Your boys both began complaining, Matty even running from your arms to cling on to Harry's leg again.
You sighed, looking up at the man, "Stay for dinner?"
***
Somewhere along the way, after helping you put your sons to bed, an old bottle of fire whiskey in the back of your cupboard had been cracked open and you were sat on the sofa with Harry Potter, drunker than him because you hadn't had the chance to drink in years.
"Do you really do this all by yourself?" he eventually asked, after a laughing fit from the both of you.
"Do what?"
"Everything. Work, chores, raising your sons. Do you have no help at all?"
You shook your head, "Their father took off during my second pregnancy, haven't heard from him since. As you can tell, I was young when I first fell pregnant, so neither of our families wanted anything to do with us."
"But- no friends?"
"I used to have friends," you sighed, "But I kinda lost them when I started dating Derran. He isolated me a lot. Never had the chance to remake them."
He hummed, "I'm sorry that happened to you - really. I'm happy to be your first friend."
You smiled.
"And more, if you'll let me."
"Really? Thing One and Thing Two haven't put you off?"
He chuckled, "No, not yet, they haven't."
"I don't know if I have the time for dating," you said, picking at your fingernails, "I'm struggling to keep all my plates spinning as it is."
"I understand that dating you would mean a lot of time with the boys."
"Really? Do you? We'd have no date nights."
"I'm prepared to make that sacrifice."
"I don't think you are," you said simply, "Anyway, this has been fun, but I should really get to bed. Are you good to get home or should I-"
"I'm fine to get home, don't worry about me," he said, standing up.
And as you showed him out the door, shutting it behind him, he paused and turned back to look at the spot where he just saw you, meanwhile you rested your back against the wooden frame on the other side, feeling a painful longing in your chest.
***
Saturday morning started like it normally did: a later start with both your boys waking up in your arms. It was as routine up until you all entered the main room ready for breakfast.
A knock arrived on the door.
You frowned, and told the boys to sit at the table before heading over and peering through the peephole. To your surprise, you saw Harry stood patiently outside. Opening the door, you questioned his presence with a simple furrowing of your eyebrows, when you caught sight of the bags he was holding either side of him.
"I hope I'm not here too early," he said, taking in your pyjama-clad presence.
"No- no... we just weren't expecting you," you replied, allowing him in.
"Harry!" your boys called, running over to cling to his legs.
"I wanted it to be a surprise," he shrugged, placing the bags on the kitchen counter, "Hello, Eric, Matty."
"A surprise?"
He hummed, "I brought some basic foods- including ingredients for chocolate chip pancakes."
Eric and Matty cheered.
"That's sweet but- but we don't need handouts."
"Then don't think of it as one," he said simply, "This is simply a man doing something for the woman he has romantic interest in."
You sighed, unable to stop a smile from creeping on to your face.
"Are you our new dad?" Eric asked, making you snap your head in his direction.
Harry was evidently at a loss for words.
"I've always wanted a dad," Matty added. Despite having been alive for when your ex-boyfriend was still around, he had no memory of him. Not that the memories would have been good ones, anyway.
"It depends if your mum lets me date her or not," Harry stated.
"Mama, please!"
"Please, mama!"
"I don't think you know us well enough to make a commitment," you said to Harry, ignoring your sons for the time being.
"Yeah, because you won't let me get to know you," he argued, but without malice, "Is it so hard to believe I genuinely want this?"
"Yeah, it is," you said, "After-" you nodded your head towards the boys, communicating your reference to their father.
"Let me prove it to you," Harry said, to both you and the boys, "What say after breakfast, we head to Diagon Alley and make a day of it?"
The boys began cheering, though you knew all too well they had no idea what Diagon Alley was.
You pulled Harry aside and began whispering, "I've never taken them there. I don't want to get their hopes up by seeing all the things in the shops and not being able to get any of it."
"I'm paying," he reassured you, "For anything they want- that you approve of, of course."
"But-"
"No buts. I told you, I'm proving this to you."
You sighed, admitting defeat, "Okay. Fine."
"Now, let's get the pancakes on," he announced loudly.
***
You watched your sons excitedly run around Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, unable to take the smile off your face. Part of you was overjoyed that they were finally getting some experience of a normal wizardly childhood; the other part of you was upset that it wasn't really you that had provided the experience.
"I think they like the place," Harry said from his place next to you, snapping you out of your thoughts.
"I've never seen them so happy."
"Don't think you're a failure as a mother or anything," he added, "You're far from it."
You smiled, "I know I'm doing my best, but they deserve more."
He didn't reply to that statement, instead wrapping his arm around your shoulder in a comforting gesture.
Maybe, just maybe, you should let him in.
***
After that day, things fell into a new routine. Any day that Harry wasn't on an auror mission, he would show up at your flat with dinner ingredients not long after you had gotten home with your sons. Together, you would cook the meal, and then sit and eat. On Saturdays, he would take you and the boys somewhere for the day, always insisting on paying if there was an associated cost. He had even on one Sunday insisted that he babysit the boys so you could get your first bit of lone time in years. You had treated yourself to some rest and relaxation in a spa.
You had become very comfortable with his presence, but at there same time there was this constant tension between the two of you, like something was going to snap at any given moment. You almost wanted it to.
It was after dinner one night, and you were putting Eric and Matty to bed with Harry, just having finished reading their bedtime story.
"Goodnight, my loves," you said, kissing each of their heads, and tucking them in, "I'll be here to join you shortly."
"Night, mama."
"Goodnight, mama."
"Goodnight, boys," Harry said, "I should hopefully be here again tomorrow."
"Goodnight," your eldest, Matty, said tiredly.
"Night night, dad," your youngest, Eric, mumbled.
You stilled in shock, but didn't say anything since he was drifting off to sleep, instead glancing at Harry to gage his reaction. He had a slight smile on his face, which admittedly filled you with a sense of warmth. Nonetheless, when you were back in the kitchen charming the dishes to begin washing, you decided to talk about it.
"Thank you, Harry."
"For what?"
"Everything you have done for us the last few weeks," you said, "And I'm sorry Eric called you dad."
"I don't mind," he quickly said, "But I understand if you mind."
"I don't mind... but I don't want them to get hurt."
Next thing you knew, Harry's hand was on yours, "I'm not leaving."
"That's an easy thing to say."
"Y/N, I-" he cut himself off, pausing for a moment to think, "Have dinner at my house on Saturday - bring the boys, obviously."
You frowned, "Are you sure?"
"I'm always sure."
You couldn't help but chuckle at that, "Okay, we'll be there."
***
On Saturday evening, you apparated outside Harry's cottage in Godric's Hollow with your sons holding a hand either side of you. This was your first time seeing his house, and it was absolutely gorgeous: large, too. From what he had told you, he had been born in this house, but it was also where his parents had died tragically.
You let Eric and Matty run ahead to knock on the front door, which was a classic medieval-style shape. All too quickly, it swung open to reveal Harry dressed up in dress trousers and a button up shirt, with the top button left undone. You were glad that you had opted for a more dressed up look yourself - you had gotten the feeling that this was a fancier occasion than usual.
"Hello, boys," he greeted your sons, hugging both of them before standing up straight, "And, hello, Y/N." He seemed even more awkward than normal, making you confused.
He beckoned you all in and through to the dining room, where a delicious spread was billowing steam throughout the room.
"I wish I could take full credit- Molly helped quite a bit," you knew Molly to be his best friend's mother, "But I wanted this to be perfect."
"Why?" you asked, "I mean- it is, but why?"
"Because it's for you," he said.
You held prolonged and tension-filled eye contact with him for a few moments, before your attention was diverted by your boys jumping about excitedly.
"I think they're hungry," Harry laughed, "Sit down, sit down."
You all sat around the table, and you scolded your sons for not showing good manners and trying to dig in right away.
"Not to make you wait too much longer, boys, but I would like to say something first," Harry said, taking in a deep breath, "When I first met you, Y/N, I thought you wanted nothing to do with me- because you rejected me."
You chuckled.
"And that was quite a blow to my ego, so it was certainly relieving to learn that it wasn't me that was the problem- not that there really was a problem. You are simply an amazingly independent woman who didn't want people to know about her two incredible sons, for some insane reason," he said with a grin, making your cheeks heat up, "And I know it's hard for you to accept that I genuinely do want to be with you given everything you've been through."
You started to get a feeling of what was about to happen.
"And I know that being with you means being with your sons as well," he continued, "But I need you to know that it's far from a chore for me to take them in as my own - so, I have to ask, even though it may seem too soon, will you marry me?"
Tears pricked at your eyes as Matty and Eric gasped, them both being old enough to understand what marriage meant.
"You'll be our dad?" Eric asked, his eyes shining hopefully.
"Well, if your mum says yes."
"Mama, please say yes!" your youngest begged.
His older brother joined in, "Please, mama!"
"Okay," you said, sniffling, "I'll marry you, Harry Potter."
It was then, as Matty and Eric were cheering about having a dad, that Harry pushed a small velvet box across the table, and you opened it to reveal a yellow gold band with a ruby stone set in the centre.
"It's- it's beautiful."
Harry beamed at you as you put it on and admired its place on your ring finger.
"Can we eat now?" Matty asked.
"Yes, yes, we can eat," you said through happy sobs.
"And, after dinner, you two can pick your new bedrooms."
Your eyes widened in shock as Matty exclaimed, "We get our own bedrooms?!"

The Perfect Man For Us - Derek Hale x Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Derek Hale x singlemother!Reader
Prompt: The new one shot teen wolf series I’m working on.
Warnings: None really its just fluff and mentions of a rape that occurred but no details. I decided not to do smut for this one because I feel like I don’t do a lot of fluff and Derek deserve a nice fluffy love not just sex.
ENJOY!!!
*******
You couldn’t breathe, your lungs felt like they were burning, but you couldn’t stop running. You heard them behind you shouting derogative names and loading their guns. You felt tears prick your eyes as you clung to your son, your arms never faltering. He was whimpering softly as he gripped your clothing for dear life.
“Mama.” He whispered shakily into your shoulder before he looked up at you his long tear covered lashes blinking heavily.
“I know my little love. Shhh.” You whisper as you kept running.
You paused your running to look down and check your son wasn’t injured. However, before you could feel relieved you felt a sharp pain in your side. Shit. The searing pain had you stumbling a little but you quickly regain your footing and began running again, knowing that your child was in danger gave you the boost of adrenaline you needed.
You’re unsure of how long it had been since you heard the hunters, or how long you’d been running while bleeding out but that was quickly the least of your worries when a big dark skinned man came into view his golden eyes glowing as you with a warning growl.
“P-Please…I-I don’t mean any harm. H-Hunters are coming.” You felt yourself getting drowsy but you tried to fight it.
“My baby.” You whimpered as you fell to your knees begin to buckle as you clutched your son tightly.
“Oh my god! Boyd stop growling at her she’s a fucking injured mother with a baby! We need to get her to Derek now!” A female said as she came out from the trees her blonde hair swaying softly as she ran towards us.
You didn’t have time to feel relieved or even scared because you didn’t know them because you fell into a foetal position clutching your son as everything went black.
*******
“This is going to take a couple of days to heal, even as a werewolf. She’s seriously malnourished and dehydrated her son is perfect though my guess is whatever food and drink she either found or got given she gave to this little boy.” A man’s voice stated your eyes refused to open but you could hear at least six heartbeats.
“Well obviously shed do that. She’s his mother.” A female voice responded sassily making you wish you could nod in agreement.
“How do you know it could be her brother?” A younger male voice stated with just as much sass.
“She said my baby as she passed out Isaac.” She huffed as she began moving around the room.
“Wh-Wheres my baby?” You spoke as you finally managed to open your eyes.
“He’s here. Don’t worry we gave him some milk and a snack then Boyd here put him down for a nap.” She young woman stated softly as she approached your bed.
“T-Thank you so much.” You whispered tearfully as you tried sitting up but the pain in your side stopped you immediately.
“No you need to rest we have him. What’s his name?” She asked softly as a slightly older man whose face was cuddled in stubble approached.
“I’m Y/N and that is my son, Samuel.” You muttered between catching your breath from the pain.
“I’m Erica and this is Boyd, Isaac and this is our Alpha, Derek. Oh and that is our local vet Deaton.” She chuckled as she pointed to everyone.
“A vet? Is that a dog joke?” You snorted making the younger one’s chuckle.
“No he’s actually a vet but he used to be Derek’s mom’s emissary.” She laughed humorously making you nod with a smile.
“I see.” You glanced at the Alpha who had yet to speak as he stared down at you with a poker face.
“Well we have school but Derek here can get you anything you or Samuel need. Right Derek?” Erica said softly her eyes meeting her Alphas who just nodded gruffly.
He didn’t exactly seem thrilled to have you here but you took her word for it and squeezed her hand gratefully as she pointed to where Sam was laid down on a single mattress covered in blankets. You watched as the vet and the three young betas left, what looked like an old train depot.
Once they’d gone you glanced at the alpha who was making himself busy cleaning up take away boxes and other bits and bobs. You watched the way his muscles clenched around the henley that was rolled up his arms. He was handsome but that was the last thing on your mind as you stared at your baby.
“How come hunters were after you?” Derek spoke suddenly making you jump a little.
“T-There not normal hunters. They had me captive for a few years. Beating me, torturing me…r-raping me. I-I…” You paused staring at your hands as they began shaking, your tears threatening to spill over.
“W-When I was fifteen I had a girlfriend…she was older than me in her twenties. Turned out she was a hunter using me to find out when all my family would be in one house…She burnt my entire house to the ground. I was out and so was my oldest sister Laura but everyone else…they burnt.” He stated awkwardly like it wasn’t something he ever really spoke about but you nodded in understanding when the story rung a bell in your head.
“Are you talking about the Hale fire?” You suddenly asked making the alphas head spin towards you so fast your surprised it didn’t hurt.
“H-How?” He asked fearfully making you shake your head.
“There was a little girl…she was taken in by my pack just before I was taken…What was her name? Erm, it sounded a lot like Laura…oh yeah Cora.” You stated easily as the Alpha suddenly had tears in his eyes.
“C-Cora’s alive?” He whispered and then you realied she mustve been his younger sister.
“She should still be with my old pack. The alpha is called Demetri.” You replied with a sad smile.
“T-Thank you. I will reach out soon.” He whispered with a small smile that had your heart clenching painfully.
“You’re welcome to stay here as long as you want. I don’t have a big pack but you’re welcome to join it and Samuel obviously.” His offer melted your heart which is why you grabbed his hand and looked him in the eye.
“It doesn’t matter if it’s a big pack. It matters that you care. I would be honoured to join the newest Hale alpha.” You chuckled with a gentle smile that Derek returned as a little grunt came from across the room.
“M-Mama!” Sam cried as he shakily sat up looking around the room.
“I’m here baby.” You called over to him making his eyes meet yours but before he could take a step Derek was over there picking him up.
“He’s got no shoes on. He may be a wolf but he hasn’t shifted and I don’t want him to stand on anything dangerous.” Derek muttered as he placed your son on your lap as Sam stared at Derek with wide eyes.
“Hi my little love.” You whispered into his hair as he clung to you tightly.
“This is Derek.” You said as you pointed to the dark haired man.
“D-De…Dada?” He pouted in confusion making your eyes widen.
“N-No…De-Rik.” You said sounding out the word.
“Der.” He settled on making Derek laugh softly.
“That’s close enough.” He chuckled making you flush as you chose to ignore the fact that your son had called him dada.
“Bot bot.” He demanded with a cheeky smile.
“Does he want a bottle?” Derek asked with a raised brow.
“Yeah. S-Sorry I feel useless right now.” You whispered sadly making Derek shoot you a sympathetic smile.
“It’s fine I had Cora and another younger sibling called Sophie so I don’t mind. Does he need diapers or anything else?” Derek asked gently making sure you knew not to feel bad.
“Well…I used to use whatever they brought me so honestly I have no idea. I managed to escape when they started threatening to take him it’s amazing how much strength you can have when it comes to your pup.” You chuckled darkly making Derek nod.
“Okay well if you don’t mind I know a few people who might be able to help. Good people.” Derek stated softly as he took out his phone but waited for you to give the okay first. You gave him a nod which he returned before pressing the call button on his phone.
“What do you want Derek? I’m about to walk into school.” A young man’s voice said through the phone making you chuckle.
“I have a situation and I need your moms number.” Derek stated coolly his stoic attitude back.
“Why?” He huffed sassily.
“Because I need help buying baby stuff.” Suddenly you heard another voice join the call.
“Oh my god. Did you knock someone up!?”
“No Stiles. Jesus Christ just give me you moms number Scott!” Derek growled down the phone as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
“Fine. I’ve text it to you. So who’s bab-”
Derek hung up and you started laughing at the whole situation which made him crack a smile before he made another call to Scott’s mother. Who stated she would be there soon without much information. Derek seemed shocked by how quickly she agreed but gave a shrug and sat down next to you and Sam.
It wasn’t long before a pretty older woman with curly hair peeked into the depot before finally spotting Derek. She seemed slightly nervous but Derek gave her an awkward smile which she returned as she moved down the stairs towards you, Sam and Derek.
“Hi, I’m Melissa, Scotts mom. I’m also a nurse.” She introduced herself with a motherly mile that made you trust her instantly.
“I’m Y/N this is my son Samuel.” You replied.
“She had Samuel in the captivity of hunters so he’s not really had the normal stuff that baby’s get and stuff. I-I need help doing some shopping for him.” Derek said calmly as he flushed a little.
“Do you know around how old he is?” Melissa asked softly her face full of sympathy.
“He’s 692 days old. I tallied them on the wall of my cell and plus they 2 days I was running so 694.” You responded easily as Sam looked at Melissa curiously.
“Okay so about 22 months. So you’re almost two! How’s his development?” Melissa asked softly as she smiled down at your son.
“He walks good, he can talk a little, only small stuff not full sentences but he likes to copy words. He eats really well and he has most of his teeth except the last 4.” You stated as you looked down at him.
“That’s pretty much on point with most babies his age. I would like to have him weighed and get him registered at the hospital I work at so he’ll get the check-ups he needs. I’d buy him a few 24-month stuff but most stuff we should get in 2T cos he’ll always grow but he won’t shrink.” She chuckled at her own comment which also had you laughing.
“I-I don’t have any money though…” You whispered with a flushed face.
“Don’t worry about that. I have money.” Derek stated simply as he began putting on his leather jacket.
“Maybe you should think about getting a house with said money.” Melissa snorted making Derek roll his eyes as he tried to hide his smirk.
“Offering to help with that too Melissa?” He joked making her eyes widen before she started laughing.
“Yeah why not. We’ll pop down to the real estate office and have a look at what there is. Then we’ll go shopping for this little cutie.” She said as she bopped your sons nose making him giggle.
*******
“Y/N? Where’s Derek and Sam?” Isaac’s voice rang out dragging you attention from the book Derek had given you.
“They went shopping with Melissa.” You said with a small smile as Erica ran downstairs to give you a hug.
"How long have they been gone?” Erica asked with a frown.
“Since about 11am. So 4 hours.” You pondered as you realised they’d been gone a while.
“What’s he buying a fucking store?” Erica snorted as she picked up the book you’d put down.
“They said something about real estate too.” You added with a small smile.
“Hmm interesting.” Boyd muttered as he flopped down onto a worn out broken couch.
It wasn’t long before you were chatting away happily with the beta’s and lost track of time completely until finally Derek and Melissa came through the entry and down the stairs two boys following her carrying so man bags your eyes almost popped out your skull.
Derek was carrying Sam as Melissa instructed the boys the put the bags in the corner. Derek put him down on the ground and Sam ran up to you. He was in a pair of acid wash jeans, a white t-shirt, doc martens and a little leather jacket. Your eyes widened as Derek seemed to flush from all they looks he was getting.
“Like Der mama.” He giggled as he pointed to his jacket and boots.
“Yes you have clothes like Derek! You look so cute!” You giggled as he snuggled up to you with a grin.
“I bought furniture but I had it delivered to the property I bought. It’ll be delivered tomorrow after I collect the keys.” Derek muttered shyly as he scratched the back of his head.
“You bought a house!?” Everyone shouted at the same time.
“Well w-we couldn’t have the pack living here all the time. We have a baby in the pack now.” He responded with a small warning growl daring them to say anything.
“Sourwolf’s gone soft.” A young man whispered making Derek rolls his eyes.
“Shut up Stiles.” Derek growled flashing his eyes at the young man who was wearing a red plaid shirt with a black t-shirt underneath and a pair of jeans and sneakers.
“So this is the whole pack? You’re Stiles and Scott?” You asked trying to ease the teasing Derek was clearly going to get.
“Yeah I was turned by Derek’s uncle when he went feral after the fire. This is Stiles he’s human but my best friend so honorary pack member by default.” Scott stated making Stiles glare at his friends.
“Stiles is the pack researcher. Not just Scott best buddie.” Derek huffed with an eye roll.
“I see. So he’s basically like an emissary just not learnt about the magic stuff yet?” You chuckled as Stiles seemed shocked by Derek’s words.
“Am I?” Stiles seemed wide eyed and confused which you thought was adorable.
“Yeah sort of. Emissary’s jobs are to help advise the pack and give them information they need the make the decisions.” Derek informed the teen gruffly.
“Oh. Well thanks sourwolf! Didn’t know you even liked me.” He snorted as he wiped a fake tear from his eye dramatically.
“Der!” Sam shouted making everyone look at the little boy in your arms.
“What?” Derek asked softly with a small smile.
“Mama stuff!” He shouted making you frown as Derek seemed to understand what he meant and grabbed two bags.
“Melissa bought you some clothes.” He mumbled with a small flush on his stoic face as he passed you the two bags.
“No Derek bought them I just picked them.” She chuckled with an affectionate eye roll.
“O-Oh thank you so much. Wow these are so pretty.” You said softly as you looked through them.
“I always wanted a daughter.” Melissa whispered playfully making her son shout in protest.
“You guys have been generous…I don’t know how to thank you.” You whispered with a sad smile making them smile back towards you.
“You’re pack now. We look out for each other.” Erica stated as she pulled you into a hug.
This is yours and Sam’s pack now and you couldn’t be happier.
******
“Sammie don’t bother Derek he’s sleeping!” You shouted as he ran away from you down the hall towards the Alpha’s room. Jeez when did he get so fast.
He barged into Derek’s room with grin on his face as he ran and dived onto the mans bed. Derek opened his eyes, giving your son a smile as he hugged him close. The whole scene melted your heart, your new feelings for Derek getting harder to ignore the more time you spend with the man.
His dark stubble was as perfect as ever as your son kissed his cheek making you wish you could do the same. He was shirtless so you tried not to focus on his abs that had dark hair littered around his pecks and the line of it leading to his…no bad Y/n stop staring, you thought with a flush.
Derek finally looked towards you and took in your outfit his eyes seemed to soften even more as he patted the bed urging you to sit. You did so carefully as not to get too close but when he touched your arm you leaned into it subconsciously.
“You look pretty today. What’s the occasion?” He asked as he stared down at your fluttery summer dress.
The dress was black with peachy pink flowers on it. It was a layered hem that reminded you of fairy dresses with small thin spaghetti straps and ‘v’ shaped neck line. You had on a pair of flat black sandals that wrapped around your ankle, a cute pair of sunglasses Erica bought you and your makeup consisted of peachy pink smoky eye and nude pink lipstick. Your hair was curled and half pined back into a bow made with your own hair which you thought looked cute.
“The girls are getting their nails done today for the dance tomorrow so I thought I’d tag along. The sheriff offered to watch Sam so I thought why not.” You chuckled softly making him frown a little which confused you.
“You should get yours done too.” Derek muttered with the small frown still on his face.
“I don’t have money Derek we’ve been over this. Once Sammy’s in kindergarten I will be getting a job then I can have luxuries. It bad enough you feed us, give us clothes and a house to live in that’s more than enough.” You stated awkwardly making his frown deepen.
“You understand I own 2 hotels, have over 13 million in the bank and a job in construction.” He stated with a raised brow which honestly shocked you. You knew he didn’t seem to struggle even feeding the whole pack but you didn’t know he was that loaded.
“You offering to be my sugar daddy Derek?” You joked making him flush as he avoided all eye contact.
“Dada Der!” Sam shouted and you suddenly realised your son was still sat in the room.
“Crap.” You snorted as Derek started laughing whole heartedly.
“No honey mama was joking.” You tried but Sam just frowned at you and clung to Derek sending oyu a glare.
“Dada.” He whispered in a sad tone that made your heart clench painfully.
“Honey you can’t ca-”
“I don’t mind. I don’t want him to feel like he did something wrong.” Derek interrupted you making your eyes widen.
“Are you sure?” You asked with a small frown on your face.
“Yeah he’ll probably forget about it later anyway.” He stated softly as he leaned over to grab his wallet. He pulled out a card and passed it to you with a small smile.
“This is for you. Use it whenever you want. If you or Sam need or want anything don’t hesitate okay? You’re basically pack mom at this point so that’s more than enough of a job. In fact, I think pack moms have the hardest job especially with as many teens there is.” He chuckled his words made you flush slightly but you nodded in acceptance.
“T-Thank you.” You whispered shyly as you took the card, your hand brushing against his causing a shiver to pass through you.
“I can hear the girls are here. You go I’ll watch Sam until Noah gets here.” He chucked as his hand came down to stroke the back of your hair affectionately.
By the time you go downstairs you blush was still full force as you thought about how Derek’s hands felt on the back of your hair and when he touched your hand. You were so focused on that, you didn’t see the girls staring at you with a smirk.
“Did Derek finally make a move?” Erica chuckled making you flush even more.
“N-No he doesn’t like me like that…” You whispered your tone turning a little sad.
“You’re just as blind as he is.” Lydia huffed as she rolled her eyes making Allison laugh.
“I-I am not!” You huffed rather childishly for the mother of a two year old.
“Whatever let’s go. I need to grab some new lingerie too.” Erica chuckled as Lydia took out her car keys with a smirk.
*****
You glared at the girls with a warning to not start once you were inside the house which they listened even if they did give you attitude. You took the small bag out the car only to turn around and see Derek stood at the door, leaning against the frame. His arms bugling as they crossed over his chest. God that shouldn’t be legal.
“Yet it is.” Allison whispered playfully making you realised you said that out loud.
As you approached the door Noah was also pulling up with Stiles and Sam getting out the back of the car. Stiles put him down and you bent down to give him a hug but he ran straight past you and straight towards to open front door.
“DADA!” He shouted as he launched at Derek causing his eyes to widen as he looked at the reaction of the pack and you.
“Well that’s just rude. You know I’m the one that carried you for 9 months and pushed you out right?” You huffed childishly as you tried to act like what had just happened was normal.
“Oh that makes sense! He’s been chatting my ear off about how dada is this and dada does that and I had no idea what he was talking about.” Stiles snorted as he scratched the back of his head.
“Yeah nice plan Der. What was it you said? He’ll probably forget about it later.” You mocked playfully making him roll his eyes with a smirk.
“You’re just salty cos he came to his daddy first.” Derek mocked his smirk still firmly in place.
His words shocked you enough to have your eyes widen as everyone seemed to realise there was a conversation that was due and everyone took there leave. You walked into the house past Derek as you placed your bag on the table in the entry way before turning to Derek as Sam ran off to play with his many toys from the pack he got for his birthday last week.
“I-I…Would you like to go on a date tomorrow maybe?” Derek stuttered awkwardly making you smile gently at him.
“I-I would really like that.” You responded shyly, looking up at him through your lashes.
“Great.” Derek responded with a full smile that showed off his cute bunny like teeth.
******
You stood in front of the mirror staring at the outfit you’d picked out with Melissa’s help, she was currently moving around you fixing up your hair, straightening sections as she went. Your knee started bouncing anxiously as you started over thinking everything. What if Derek only asked you out because her son was calling him ‘dada’? What if he realised later on he didn’t like you then you’d be stuck living with an ex? God what were you doing?
“Stop it. You guys are perfect for each other. You know when I was on my way to your room I went past Derek’s room and he was throwing his clothes everywhere huffing about how he had nothing to wear.” She laughed softly her words making you smile softly with a light flush settling on your cheeks.
“Thank you Melissa.” You whispered gratefully making you smile her usual motherly smile.
“I know it’s all a little backwards for you guys seeing as how Sammy is calling him Daddy but not everything has to fit society’s standards. As a mother you chose to put your son first and that’s amazing but us mothers deserve some fun time too.” She whispered playfully her eyebrows wiggling suggestively.
“Maybe you should consider the handsome sheriff for your fun time unless you already enjoy fun time with our dear sheriff?” You suggested with a smirk on your face making her roll her eyes.
“Do not say anything to those two. You know what there like. They already see each other as brothers I don’t need their input on our ‘fun time’.” She snorted softly making you grin up at her.
You finally finished getting ready and made your way down the stairs where Derek was already waiting, with a crisp white shirt, a fitted suit jacket and slim fit slacks with matching black shiny shoes. His first few buttons were undone leaving you flushing at how sexy he looked however he seemed to return the sentiment as he took in your outfit.
You had on a black long sleeved sleek dress that almost touched the floor, a slit in the side that reached just reach mid-thigh, a pair of nude heels and a black clutch to go with it. Your makeup was flawless thanks to Lydia earlier in the evening a nude like a nude smoky eye.
“Wow.” He said with wide eyes as you came to the bottom of the curved staircase.
“D-Do you mind if we take a picture? I have started making a s-scrap book and I wanted to put a picture of our f-first date in it.” You asked shyly as you held up your phone.
“Yeah I mean I haven’t taken a picture since before the fire so I’m not sure if I’m very photogenic.” He chuckled softly.
“You own a mirror right?” You snorted playfully as you stood close to him, dragging him towards the full length mirror in the entry way.
“How do you…” He paused and looked down at you awkwardly.
You knew he was feeling awkward so you decided to take the initiative and pull him toward you by his belt loops. You moved his right arm around your waist as you pushed yourself as close as possible. You stared into his eyes before turning to the mirror and taking the picture, you placed a soft kiss on his cheek before pulling away.
You held up the phone to show him the picture which made his eyes widen as he stared at it for a minute before speaking up.
“C-Can I have a copy of this?” He asked shyly making you smile happily.
“Of course. I’ll send it to you when we get home.” You replied softly.
******
“But did she even know the guy?” Derek asked with a carefree laugh.
“No but he played along and last I heard they were still together!” You laughed behind your glass of red wine.
“Wow. That’s hilarious.” Derek snorted as he set down his glass of water.
“I’m sorry Mr Hale we’re about to close.” The restaurant manager stated gently his smile polite.
“Oh I had no idea it was that late sorry. Thank you Gregory.” Derek chuckled softly as he stood up and held his hand out for you.
“It’s no problem Mr Hale. I had Jeff pack some more of that chocolate tart for you and your date.” He whispered playfully making Derek laugh as he patted the older man’s back affectionately.
Once you collected your desert, you both began making your way outside, your arm in Derek’s as he escorted you to the passenger side of the Camaro. He held open the door like the gentlemen he was as offered you his hand to help you into your seat. You slid into it gracefully before he closed the door and made his way round to the drivers side.
“This didn’t feel like a first date.” You suddenly blurted out making him frown like he’d done something wrong and was trying to figure out what.
“N-No I don’t mean that in a bad way…I mean its feels more like a married couple having their weekly date night…it was comfortable and it felt natural like we’d doing it our whole lives.” You rambled making him smile so wide your surprised it didn’t hurt.
“I know what you mean. It just felt right.” He chuckled as he took your hand in his.
“Well then you don’t mind if I kiss you right now then?” Derek added making you giggle softly as you leaned in.
“I thought you’d never offer Mr Hale.” You sassed back playfully making him shoot you another grin before he leaned in.
His lips were soft against yours as he kissed you like he meant it. You could feel all his emotions pouring into that one moment making your heart clench with utter happiness. His hand came up to cup your cheek as he dragged you into his lap sideways, your legs still draped of the console. You clutched to the open collar of his shirt clinging for dear life as his tongue brush against yours.
You’d never felt like this before with anyone but that’s what made it so perfect because no one could compare to this man.
“I need you to take me home Der.” You whispered against his lips seductively, your thighs clenching as he pulled away, his eyes half lid and filled with lust.
He didn’t say anything just gave you a no and helped your back over to your seat waiting for you to clip in before her set of silently his free hand resting on your upper thigh. You didn’t care about how sleeping with a man on the first date was bad taste because this man was already a father to your son so why should you care about what was ‘normal’.
Once you got home you barely managed to get out the car as Derek threw you over his shoulder like the caveman he was but you just giggled at his antics.
“This does not feel very gentlemanly Mr Hale.” You teased as you clung to the material of his suit.
“Well what we’re about to do doesn’t require a gentleman does it my love?” He chuckled darkly his hand coming down to playfully smack your ass.
You knew at that moment this man couldn’t be more perfect for you.
He was even the perfect father for your son and you both knew it.

New beginnings need an equally new environment so that the pristine setting can sufficiently accommodate your grave yearning for a clean slate. It’s only been a few days but there’s a particular type of comfort that comes with living in a new place. Not only that, it saves you from ever remembering the once happy and now bitter memories held in your old home.
It’s silly, really.
To think that you would move houses just to keep from being reminded of the magical night and weekend you spent with a certain electrifying prohero. Nevertheless, here you are, fully moved into a recently available penthouse apartment and with a noticeable bump in your tummy as you were already in your second trimester.
You can be rightfully bitter towards the man responsible for your current lonely circumstance but knowing that you would soon have such a precious gift to centre your new life around was enough motivation for you to keep going.
You’re capable of letting a man go but not your baby.
Despite having a new backdrop in your everyday life, oftentimes, when you have an absent pause to think about random things occurring at that moment, you fall victim to those same sweetly haunting memories. Underlined by a warm gentleness that tries to comfort you in spite of the hollowed emptiness it carves into your chest, leaving you to ache for the missing piece that slipped through your fingers. On your lips is a small, heavy smile and brows are stitched up and furrowed tightly; it’s a perfect illustration of your consistent internal conflict.
That weekend was such a complicated and jumbled mix of emotions and experiences. It felt as if you had lived through an entire high school romance with this man in the span of only 2 days. He had made such good love to you and didn’t stop, even outside bedroom activities. After such a deeply passionate and heated few hours, he spent equally as much time, if not more, cherishing you and worshipping your entire being, not just your body. He made you laugh so hard that, at times, you cried. And the rest of your time spent together, he made you feel so loved, your heart ached with a longing that made you question why you hadn’t met him sooner.
Those two blissful days were spent away from all outside sources, your phones tucked away and silent, leaving the two of you to immerse yourselves in your own secluded world - a paradise only meant for you two. Sometimes, he cooked for you and sometimes you cooked for him. His dishes were a rather poor and sad attempt but seeing the determination in his gaze over the stovetop made the food taste better than any gourmet restaurant dish you have ever indulged in. He serenaded you over karaoke, cuddled you close through ghibli films and never stopped peppering you with kisses and affectionate nuzzles. He was childish and handsome and a dream to be with.

He serenaded you over karaoke, cuddled you close through ghibli films and never stopped peppering you with kisses and affectionate nuzzles. He was childish and handsome and a dream to be with.
God! You were so in love! So deeply in love with him.
He wasn’t like any other guy that had tried to court you before and, even though you were now in such a miserable situation, you could never bring yourself to regret going to the charity gala or spending the following weekend with him.
If only he didn’t break your heart so cruelly.
Was it all an act?
You didn’t want to believe it but what other option was there for you? The only person who could possibly ease the turmoil in your head and chest was not there to do so.
You vividly remember the Monday morning you saw him last as you were rushing to work. It was the first time you were ever late to attend a meeting with an important and recurring client…
*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
“I’m sorry to be in such a rush like this, Denki,” you apologised, downing your coffee and regretting it the instant your tongue blistered up from its hot temperature.
“No worries, beautiful,” he stands from his seat at the island counter, “I’ll be heading to work soon enough as well,” he pulls you in by the waist and passionately locks you in a deep kiss, one that you never wanted to pull away from.
“Here’s my number, please call me soon,” you pant from the zealous kiss, hurriedly scribbling down your digits on a sticky note and rushing off, “feel free to leave whenever and don’t worry about locking the door on your way out, the housekeeper will do it; i already messaged them! Goodbye!”
‘I love you!’ it was on the tip of your tongue but you hesitated-
“Will do! I love you babe! Take care!”
Smiling bitterly at the memory, you clenched your hands into tight fists beside you and dug your nails into your palm, why did he say that when he never intended to keep his word?
*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!
Saved from your gradually drowning mind, you rush to the door, your hand instinctively placed on your belly as you open it to reveal a woman and a little girl with cute blonde hair ribboned up into adorable twin pigtails.
“Why hello there,” you coo softly at the adorable little girl rocking back and forth on her heels, “what brings you two here?” you smile at the two.
“Good morning, I hope we’re not disturbing you. I’m Yua and this is Katsumi, we saw you move in last week and Katsumi here wanted to gift you something,” both you and Yua turn to the little girl as she bounces up with her arms raised at you. In her small hands, she held a prettily wrapped gift with a lace ribbon to tie it together.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you two, I’m (Y/N). Thank you so much, Katsumi, for your very kind gesture,” offering up two open palms for her to place her gift into, which she promptly did with a widened smile.
“You’re welcome! I hope you find it yummy!” At her comment, you bring the gift to your nose and take in the sweet smell of baked goods.
“It smells divine; it must be very good!” you smile widely and giggle when Katsumi cheers happily.
“Take good care of your place, it was mine and daddy’s old home,”
“Oh?” you raise a brow, gently prompting her to elaborate.
“Daddy and I moved into Mommy’s place now so we can see each other every day, hehehe~” you look up at Yua, who smiles bashfully. In your head, you can piece together their story and feel a warmth bloom in your chest. What a cute little family.
“I’ll make sure to take good care of your old home, Katsumi, thank you for the present,” you bend down to gently pat her head, lifting your spare hand off your pregnant belly in order to do so.
“Oh! Congratulations!” Yua voices in excitement, finally noticing your pregnancy as you straighten up and feel your cheeks get warm.
“Th-thank you,”
“Oh? Did something special happen?”
You share a smile with Yua at Katsumi’s comment before explaining, “I’m expecting a baby and I have four more months to go,”
“Oh!” Katsumi’s pretty ruby eyes sparkle with interest and you have to suppress a giggle, “Is your baby gonna be a boy or a girl like me?”
“It would be wonderful to have a sweet little girl like you Katsumi-chan but I’m having a little boy instead,” feeling that the conversation will go for longer than you expected, you gesture for them to come in and sit in the living room. Happy to oblige, they take up room on your sofa as you go about plating the baked goodies you were gifted. Yua had promptly offered to help but you waved her off gently with a smile. Despite being 5 months along, you can still do this much.
“Like Ren!”
“Who’s Ren?” you ask curiously, centering the plated cookies and hand out complimentary glasses of milk. Naturally, Katsumi digs in as soon as she’s given the chance to as Yua reddies a napkin to wipe at her messy cheeks. A very cute mother and daughter pair.
“He’s my best friend! He’s super nice! You’ll like him too!” Katsumi says through a mouthful of cookies that she washes down with big gulps of her milk.
“Then I’m sure I will like him instantly, any friend of yours is a friend of mine,” you smile as Yua offers Katsumi her glass of milk as the little girl had already finished hers.
“That reminds me!” Yua claps her hands together and smiles in delight, “Akina, Ren’s mother, is also pregnant, I think you’re further along than she is but we should all get together for lunch or something,”
“Oh? That might be nice, I have nothing better to do so making a new pregnant friend might do me some good, especially since this is my first pregnancy,” you giggle as Yua joins you.
“That’s perfect! It’ll be Akina’s second pregnancy so I’m sure she can help you out if you need some advice. I’ll try to get everyone together soon! Can I have your number?”
“Of course!” you’re so happy for the companionship, even though your family supports you, they live far away and have their own lives to worry about. You weren’t openly judged by them but your family largely lives off the philosophy of independence, a concept you hate but are somewhat grateful for as it’s led to your success. It’s only when you finally realise how lonely you’ve become that you despise the teachings of your family. For your baby, you will live differently and with more love and affection; the first step towards that will be having a stable friendship group. Yua hands over her phone with a new contact page open, you’re quick to type in your contact details, there is a pause however as you realise you’re typing your work contact and pause to remember your personal number instead. Flushing at the embarrassing delay, you hand back Yua’s phone with haste.
“When will you be free?” Yua asks as she tucks her phone away, the two of you leaving Katsumi to devour the gift she made for you; you didn’t mind, just seeing her eat made you feel full.
“I’d be happy to meet up tomorrow, I’ve been feeling kind of lonely,” you bashfully admit as Yua gives you a warm smile.
“That sounds perfect! I know I’m available tomorrow and I’m pretty sure Akina is too but I’ll have to double check. Do you have a favourite dessert or common pregnancy craving? I can bake us something nice to share,”
You ponder for a moment and shrug, “Anything sweet will do it for me,” the comment makes Yua laugh and nod in understanding.
“I’m sure I can whip something up then,” Yua then turns to the contentedly smiling little girl beside her, who mercilessly consumed half the chunky cookies she had brought over, “Katsumi it’s time to go, cupcake,”
“Okay! Thank you for having us over and for sharing your cookies with us miss (Y/N)!” She grins brightly with crumbs all over her mouth and cheeks and you have to resist reaching forward to squish them between your fingers, mentally thanking Yua for interrupting your urges by wiping at her messy appearance once more.
“It’s no problem, sweetie, please come over again soon, I already love having you as company,” the praise makes her nose turn up slightly as she hums in self-gratification. Katsumi had, at first, been worried that you may be like all the horrible women chasing after her father but she was glad her mom encouraged her to be a good neighbour first; you’re a really nice lady and you’re already good friends with her mom so that’s extra good points in your favour.
“And if you need anything at all, we’re right next door so please give us a shout,” Yua offers, “Katsuki says pregnancy is as tough as being a prohero and always offers to help Akina and Eijiro whenever they need him, so we happily extend the same courtesy to you,”
“Thank you so much!‘ you beam happily, incredibly grateful for their selflessness. If only your own family was this openly supportive and kind.
With a warm goodbye and promise to meet again soon, you see your two new friends out and return to finally enjoy your first cookie. Humming is content, you sigh from bliss. Such a sweet taste.
Tumblr media
“You’re really off your game, Denki, you need to sort out whatever it is that’s throwing you off. It’s becoming a danger to everyone on the field,” Kirishima comments as the two sit in opposite hospital beds with bandages covering their unnecessarily sustained injuries.
“I-I’m sorry man…” Kaminari sighs in exasperation, seated at the edge of his bed with his hands grabbing at his blonde hair as he leans forward. The shame swirling within him force his eyes and face away from his close friend and teammate’s eyes, “I just can’t get her out of my head…how could she do that to me?” the blonde begins to ramble as his red-headed friend looks on at him in sympathy, “Give me a non-existent number? Did she not want to keep in contact after all? I’ve dated many girls trying to settle down and I thought she was the one! She’s everything I could ever want in a girl! Beautiful, kind, smart, funny, put together! She actually laughs at my silly jokes, and she has the most beautiful laugh too…” Kaminari smiles and falls back with a dreamy sigh, “She has me on a leash and I want to love her with my everything but instead she plays such a cruel joke on me,” he almost sobs at his miserable reality, “I can take rejection, I’ve had to go through so many already but this…this was too much…she knows I love her, why would she do that to me?”
“Look man…” Kirishima rubs the back of his neck, deep in thought and concern for one of his closest friends, “I don’t know…how can you say you love someone after just one weekend with them?”
“I just do, okay?!” Kaminari snaps, sitting up to glare at his friend, “I love her and that’s not going to change! Don’t try to convince me otherwise, I know we did things backwards but I would do anything for her. She’s not like those other girls, I can see right through them, they’re pretty but (Y/N) is beautiful. They’re sweet but (Y/N) is kind and gentle and loving and funny and charming and mean, in the best way! She makes it so easy to love her. If I could, I would give her the world…” The frustration and sadness coursing through him brings about a static to surround Kaminari’s frame, charging the surrounding metals momentarily.
“Have you tried going to her place?”
“I did but I was too late! She was never there when I went to visit and the last time I went, the gardeners working on the estate told me she had moved out! I spent the best, most blissful two days of my life in that house and she just left it!” Kaminari feels the prickling of tears surface as he breaks down, the heartbreak suffocating him and making it unbearable to even exist. Unable to look at his friend’s broken down state much longer, Kirishima steps forward and pulls the blonde up into a standing hug.
“Why don’t you take a break from hero work, at least? Clearly you need time to think and get yourself together, it’s better you do that away from villains who could cause you and others harm,” Kirishima advises with gentle comforting pats on his best friend’s back.
“...m-maybe you’re right,” Kaminari sighs, the emotional exhaustion evident in his droopy eyes and slouching figure, “look man, I’m sorry for being such a bum…I know you and Akina are expecting and that’s great news I just-...I’m sorry for making this all about my shitty love life,”
“Think nothing of it, Akina’s more worried about cooking for and feeding you herself; she says you’ve lost too much weight these past couple of months and insists on cooking extra portions so that I can bring it over to you. Just get those muscles back and stop worrying about my pregnant wife, okay?…” a scary look begins to cross over Kirishima’s face as he looks down at his blonde friend and colleague, “Because we all know how bad stress is for the baby, right?” Despite Kirishima’s grinning face, Kaminari felt a shiver run down his spine and nods frantically.
“Yeah yeah! Of course, man! Sorry about that!”
Tumblr media
When Kaminari had work, at least he was minorly distracted before his mind wandered off to you. Now that he's on leave for ‘mental wellbeing’, as he’s submitted it, he has nothing to distract him and so his mind is always wandering off to the time you two spent together. What bliss. If heaven was a time and place on earth, it would be those two euphoric days.
The first time he saw you, you made his heart stop beating and when you flashed him an innocent smile, the surroundings blurred around him, making you the sole focus of his stare. In that one moment, he already knew that he had to make you his and himself yours. So he approached you, nervous as could be but after the introductory ‘hello’s, conversation flowed smoothly, better than smoothly, in fact. It was as if the two of you had spent all your lives together as close friends and were catching up on things after some time spent apart. You shared laughs and got closer and closer until eventually, the two of you were leaving the venue together and spending the night and weekend at your place.
The night of the gala didn’t end with just amorous, fiery sex, there was also a lot of affectionate aftercare, timid kisses and pillow talk that ranged from deeply meaningful chatter to musings of the most irrelevant things.
That was the most memorable weekend of Kaminari’s life.
He never cooks for anyone, primarily because he knows that he’s horrible at it but he did his best to cook you breakfast the following morning and you didn’t berate his cooking skills at all, you just sat down and ate it with a smile on your face. Kaminari never thought you could become even more beautiful but he was wrong. Was it your quirk? A quirk that charms others and makes them submit to you? If so he’d happily be the one to fall for your charm.
Your time together felt like you were just two normal people in love. He wasn’t a prohero with expectations and responsibilities and you weren’t… He sighs, realising, once again, that he never asked you what you did. Not that it mattered to him, the connection you two shared, the spark that became a flame and continues to burn within him even now, was what truly mattered. It was so easy to get lost in one another and forget about the rest of the world when it was just the two of you that weekend. His one regret was that, it’s now so difficult to find you himself other than the few things he does know.
Everything hurts now but Kaminari doesn’t regret spending that weekend with you. He will never regret loving and being loved by you no matter how much it hurts him to think about it.
Tumblr media
Back from his mental health break, Kaminari is on patrol once again. His time spent away helped him centre himself and better handle his thoughts atop doing his hero work but he still can’t stop thinking about you. It’s never going to be easy forgetting someone who he felt destined to meet.
Today he was patrolling a relatively calm district just to ease into the work day. The morning was quiet and peaceful, some fans politely held conversation with him and took some photos every once in a while but it mainly remained serene until a swarming crowd apprehends his attention as he nears the exit point of the park he had been walking through. The mob’s violent movement as an angry horde of bodies made a scowl form on his face, their demanding shouts for answers weren’t hard to miss nor were their flash photography. Paparazzi, the lowest of all scum.

Gojo x Reader wip that I’ll probably never finish
CW// technically canon compliant, actually doesn’t really relate to canon much at all, gojo x reader pairing (as stated above), angst, past hurt/attempted comfort, child OC, parent reader, female reader
SYNOPSIS+CONTEXT// Basically, you and Gojo dated while you both attended Tokyo Jujutsu Tech, had been intimate (you know, but only after you were both 18, ya nasties), and one bad event or another happened and Gojo decided that you would be safer if you weren’t around him anymore. The night he told you as much, you had just been about to tell him you were pregnant (and panicking bc how did that happen, you were both (relatively) careful). With your heart broken, you decide to transfer elsewhere and basically drop off the face of the planet (Yaga being extremely helpful and supportive). Then, ten years later you move back to Tokyo to slowly get back into the swing of work while parenting your son. Gojo finds out that you’re back (and with a surprise) and wants to try to reconnect.
Author’s Note// I hope this is ok, it was a random shower thought I had that I managed to write down at least some of, so... Yeah. Enjoy! <3
“Hey,” Satoru took a breath, “‘s been a while…”
“What…?” You stare in wide eyed horror at the unexpected sight of the man standing at your doorstep.
He gives a hesitant smile. “How have you been—“
“How did you find me.” You’re question sounding more like a demand, horror having quickly shifted to anger.
Satoru’s face morphs into surprise. “Heard from Yaga that you were back. Wha—“
You cut him off again, “What do you want?” Your face settles in a neutral almost cold expression, voice softer than before, but still defensive.
It had been ten years since you last saw the sorcerer, let alone spoke to him. That was a day that had changed your life forever.
“I wanted to check in with… an old friend.” He shifts his weight to one foot and puts his hands into his pockets.
You narrow your eyes and give him a once over. He’d grown taller and broader since the last time you’d seen him.
“I’m fine. Why?”
He knew he’d be met with this, and yet he still wanted to try. Huffing out a small sigh, he says “Can I just— Can we talk?” He shifts his head to gesture to the door you’re currently standing in.
You open your mouth to deny him but he interrupts you.
“Please?”
Now, Gojo Satoru was never one to beg. You know this, he knows this. For him, it had felt like an eternity ago since he’d seen you, seen your face. While he had wanted to see you sooner, he’d thought it’d be better for you if had kept his distance.
“…Fine.”
After a long pause, you swing the door open wider and step out of the way, and Satoru feels he can finally breathe again.
“Thanks.”
He looks around the entryway to your home as he slips off his shoes and you step into your kitchen.
“Tea?” You offer.
“Sure.” He nods as you gesture for him to wait on the couch in the living room.
———————————————————————————————————
“You have a kid?”
“…Yeah.” You speak quietly, softly.
“Huh, so where’s um,” he clears his throat, “where’s your spouse? I don’t see one in your pictures—“
“Don’t have one.”
“Ah.”
An awkward pause.
Looking at the pictures more closely Satoru notices something and he breaks into a nervous sweat.
“How… how old’s your kid?”
Your voice is almost a whisper, “N-nine, almost ten.”
His eyes widen behind his sunglasses. He feels like he can’t breathe. Almost ten? How could— How did—
His voice lowers to match yours. “…Is he mine?”
“No.” There’s a bite in your tone that shook him.
“But—“
“He’s mine.” There’s a hardness to your expression, like a mother wolf guarding her pup.
Now that confused him, “Then how’d you— Was there someone else?”
“…No.”
“So he is mine…” Satoru’s face saddens.
“No.”
He’s growing irritated now. “No? What do you mean no? You said he’s—“
“I’m sorry, do you pay child support?”
That makes him freeze.
“No? Didn’t think so, therefore he’s mine and not yours.” Your words are like a knife to the chest.
“If I’d known— Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I tried. You said we couldn’t see each other, even after you told me that you loved me.” Your voice breaks as tears collect in the corners of your eyes. “You said you’d lied, after I’d given my everything to you.”
His eyes widen as he chokes on his next words. “I didn’t— I didn’t mean it, I thought you’d be safer if— if you weren’t with me.”
He’d never meant for this to happen. He never thought it could, you’d both been young and reckless, sure, but he hadn’t—
“I did love you, do love you,” your eyes widen at those words, “I just wanted to protect you.”
“By pushing me away? You should have asked me! That wasn’t something that you could have just decided for yourself!”
“Then let me fix it! Let me fix this! Let me be here for you, for our son, now—“
“Oh, no. Nonono, you don’t get to walk back into my life like nothing happened. You don’t get  to have any claim on MY son—“
“I’m sorry, okay? I know it’ll take time to remedy all my past mistakes, but please, at least let me try—“
“You left! You left me!” You’re sobbing now. “You left us! You ripped out my heart and left, and now you want to just come back and—“
A soft voice cuts you off.
“Mama?”
You freeze, then hurriedly try to wipe away your tears as you turn to your little boy, crouching down and slightly blocking Satoru’s view of him. “Yes, baby? Do you need something?”
“I heard yelling… Mama, are you ok? You’re crying…” Your son gazes at you with worried eyes and puts his hands on your cheeks to help wipe your tears.
You can’t help but chuckle “Yes, baby, I’m alright. I was just talking and got a little emotional.”
Your son now leans to look around you at who appears to be the offending party then looks back at you. “Who’s he? Is he why you were crying?”
Your son, normally shy, steps around you to face this stranger with a determined look. “Who are you? Don’t make my mama cry!“
Now that Satoru can see him, he takes note of the boy’s features, his hair color is the same as your’s, eyes heterochromatic, one crystalline blue and the other the same as yours. While the expression he wore now was the same as one of your own, once upon a time, his facial features looked almost identical to Satoru at his age. This was undoubtedly his kid, even down to his protectiveness of you.
“I’m—“
You cut in, “This is Gojo Satoru, an old friend.”
He winces at the use of his own words repeated back to him.
You look back at him now, slightly more collected. “Satoru, this is my son, Miyako.”
Miyako, meaning night child.
Satoru waves at the boy, while Miyako just squints his eyes back, at first in skepticism, then in scrutiny.
Then, your son whips is head to face you, startling both you and your guest, with eyes wide and says, “Wait! The Gojo Satoru?”
You hum in question at the boy.
Slightly stunned, He pulls a sly smile. “That’s right, the strongest sorcerer—“
“The biggest butthead??”
Both adults freeze at the child words.
Then, you burst into laughter.
“That’s right, love!”
Satoru’s jaw is on the floor. He can’t believe what he’s hearing. This is how his son knows of him? Then he sees the proud twinkle in the child’s eyes at getting you to laugh and he understands.
He sighs and chuckles, this is going to be interesting.

Honey - Steve Harrington x Single Mother! Reader - pt 1
This is just from a random thought I had a little while ago and how freaking cute it would be, in this series, it's all set after the show is over and done with basically, there is no more trouble coming from the upside down, it follows the basic storyline with the other characters too, but Eddie does not die!!!
Anyway! Enjoy! _________________________________
3rd Person Pov
Steve couldn't believe his rotten luck. His mom had managed to grab him before he could leave the house for work, asking him if he'd take a basket of goodies across the street. Apparently some new neighbours had just moved in and she wanted to welcome them to the neighbourhood.
Steve's mother hadn't always done this, but after more and more people started to leave Hawkins because of the weird stuff that happened there, there were less neighbours around to impress.
He wished he could just say no, that he would be late if he did this, but he knew he'd hear and earful from both of his parents so he just nodded with a plastic smile, taking the basket and heading out the door. Steve knew he'd only have to deal with this for another week or so, most of his stuff had been packed up, he was just waiting for his next day off to move out.
Steve smiled as he thought about his new place, he couldn't afford a place of his own quite yet, neither could Robin, or Eddie, so they decided they would find a place together. The three of them got along great, even if Steve was the most mature one (truly a worrying thought). Leaving his green Family Video vest on the hood of his car, Steve made his way over to the house with the very recently added 'sold' sign.
He wasn't sure what to expect when he knocked on the door, actually, that wasn't true. He knew exactly what to expect. Nobody interesting ever moved here, it was probably an older couple, recently retired, looking for a place to finally settle. Or a couple of strung up desk jockeys like his dad.
So when a small girl, about four or five, answered the front door, coming down off of her tiptoes from reaching for the door handle, Steve was genuinely shocked.
She was tiny, chestnut ringlets that reached just under her chin, big brown eyes that made Steve melt and a cute smattering of freckles across her cheeks, holding a soft blanket and sucking her thumb. Steve was truly surprised, this was certainly not who he had expected, but he still bent down and put a soft smile on his face.
"Hey there, is your mom or dad home?" He practically whispered, his voice changing completely to accommodate the child in his presence. She mere nodded at him, reaching to grab his free hand and began tugging him into the house. This certainly was not how he expected his Monday to begin.
Being tugged by a being that was probably a quarter of his height was rather daunting, especially when he was also carrying a fairly heavy gift. Steve was fairly worried about being in a stranger's house, what if he never left it? What if this kid was a ploy to get people to enter? What if...?
All those questions went out the window. As he was dragged into the kitchen, his breath was taken by the sight in front of him. A beautiful woman, couldn't have been any older than he was, cradling a baby, swaddled in blue, close to her chest, humming softly. Somehow she was also able to make breakfast for the other little one, smiling as she did so.
To Steve, this was everything he had ever wanted. It was so pure, so sweetly domestic. That was when the beauty looked up, seeing him being led in by, what he now assumed was her daughter. Steve expected to have something thrown at him, in all honesty, who wouldn't when there was a random man in their home, holding onto their child's hand.
Her smile dropped slightly, but didn't disappear, she looked at her daughter and asked in a quiet voice, not wanting to disturb the baby, "Who's this Sam?" Steve felt his knees buckle slightly at the sound of her voice.
The girl, now known as Sam, shrugged her shoulders, let go of Steve's hand and wandered off, clutching her blanket still. Chuckling at the little girl, the woman's smile returned, waving Steve to the breakfast bar, offering him a seat.
Steve swallowed his nerves, that had sprung up very suddenly, and took a seat. The woman smiled at him, clearly seeing his nervousness, and offered him a cup of coffee, which he politely refused. The woman nodded, "So, why did my daughter drag you into the house? I assume you're here for something?" She asked, pouring a glass of orange juice and setting it down in front of him.
Steve smiled at the woman and nodded, taking a sip of the juice. "Yeah, sorry about that!" He said, scratching the back of his neck, "I just came to drop this off, my mom asked me to bring it over. We live across the street, I'm Steve, Steve Harrington." He told her, keeping his voice low and even to avoid disturbing the baby.
The woman grinned at him, looking at the basket his mother had made up, there was all sorts of stuff in there, a bottle of wine, nice cheeses, some bath stuff and a few other things. "Well tell your mother I said thank you, not many people would be happy with new neighbours such as us..." She trailed off, looking down and the baby in her arms, before her smile returned.
"I'm (y/n) (l/n), you've obviously already met Samantha, and this is Jamie." She cooed, bouncing the boy in her arms. Steve smiled at the woman, (y/n), what a lovely name.
Steve thought back on something that (y/n) had said, "You said something earlier, about not many people being happy with neighbours like you? What did you mean by that? Not that you have to tell me, I was just curious!" He stammered, not wanting to offend the woman in front of him.
(y/n) simply giggled, a honeyed laugh that Steve would do anything to be able to hear again. "It's not a problem, it's just that usually a woman as young as me with two children is usually only accepted by the neighbourhood if she'd married, which I am not." She chuckled, leaning to give baby Jamie a kiss when he stirred.
Steve felt his heart jump, a few times, she was single? Did that mean he may have had a shot? Obviously he wouldn't just ask her out immediately, she had two kids to think about first and she'd just moved in, she probably wanted to get settled before even thinking about dating a random guy that just walked into her home.
But the idea that he could be a part of this kind of life, waking up to two beautiful children every morning, his wife in the kitchen making breakfast, making sure he had something to eat and drink before he left for work or to get the kids to school, the idea made him ache.
Speaking of work...
Steve took a look at his watch and realised that he really was going to be late now, so he quickly swigged his juice, "I am so so sorry, I'd love to stay and talk more but I've got to get to work..." (y/n) looked up at him with shining eyes, confused at why he had shot up so quickly, "If you need anything," He began writing his phone number down on a sheet of paper, "Please give me a call, avoid talking to my parents if you can!" He joked, only somewhat serious.
Leaving his glass in the sink, he began leaving, saying goodbye to (y/n) and Jamie, and waving with a soft smile at Samantha, who had been peeking at him from around the corner, before leaving for work.
___________________
Running from his car and into Family Video, Steve was already apologising profusely to Robin, who was glaring at him from behind the counter. He wound up being half an hour late, meaning Robin had to open up without him.
Robin began tapping her fingers on the counter top, something she only did when she was trying to calm her anger for Steve. "I get it, you're sorry! But what the hell took you so long! I had to cover for your ass!" Steve apologised again, shucking his vest on and starting to re-shelve the returned movies.
"I know, I'm so sorry! My mom asked me to take something over to the new neighbours and I sort of lost track of time..." He explained, his mind already drifting off to thinking about the woman he'd left behind, he would much rather be helping her move heavy boxes than be here.
Robin looked at him sceptically from across the room, she'd seen that look on his face before.
"Who's the girl?" She asked, blatantly. Steve panicked, dropping the pile of tapes. Looking back at Robin, she now had an annoying smirk on her face, she knew she was right on the money and was now being smug about it.
"I- No, there's- I mean-!" Steve tried to lie his way out of it, only to sigh and give up, he knew Robin knew him better than that, he wouldn't get away with it. "Her name's (y/n)..." He muttered, already feeling his cheeks turn pink at the thought of her.
Robin smiled in victory, jumping over the counter to get closer to Steve, already forgiving him for being late, now she was interested in something else. "I knew it! Spill! I wanna hear everything!" She cheered, it wasn't rare for Steve to be interested in someone, but for him to try and lie about it? Or even for the thought of this woman to make him so shy and nervous, she must have been something special.
Steve smiled at his best friend, "She's amazing, I barely know her of course, but she's sweet and thoughtful and has these two kids that are just ador-"
Robin stopped him.
"Wait, she has kids? Steve are you getting a crush on a married woman!?" She hollered, smacking his arm. Having feelings for a girl is normal for Steve, but a married woman is something Robin couldn't abide.
"Ow! No! She's not married, she's a single mom! She told me she was surprised my mom would send her anything because small towns usually aren't accepting her for being single with two kids!" Steve explained frantically, as Robin chased him, throwing pens at him.
Robin stopped in her tracks, "Oh, well that's okay then!" She said, "Anyway! Continue!" She said, beginning to pick up the things she'd thrown at him.
Steve shook his head with a chuckle, "She's got a girl and a boy, I don't know exactly how old they are, but one of them's still a baby. (y/n)'s just amazing! She's got the kids, but she still manages to make breakfast for them, with a smile on her face. She invited me in and immediately offered to make me a coffee, I said no, politely, but she still gave me juice."
Robin looked at him, "Wow, you're smitten!" She shouted, beginning to once again chase him around Family Video. And as Steve was running away, he couldn't help but question it... Was he smitten?
Yeah, yeah he was.

The One Who Was Forgotten
Tumblr media
Series Masterlist
Over the next three months, Y/N and Alexei grew accustomed to the new timeline. Y/N remembered how Nora and Henry couldn’t handle two children so Y/N spent her years in foster care, never getting adopted. Barry and Y/N had a one-night stand like they did previously but Barry and her were no longer friends. The two had drifted apart when Y/N had gone into foster care. In this new timeline, Y/N had met Abe outside a patisserie, accidentally bumping into him. Over the next few months, Abe and Y/N had gone on several dates, Abe unfazed that Y/N was pregnant. Abe had taken her to fancy restaurants and had spent nights at her house, simply cuddling and watching movies. When Alexei was around 3 months old, Y/N discovered that she was pregnant once again, this time with a girl.
“I’m pregnant.”
“... I’m gonna be a dad. I’m a dad! Again!” Abe chuckled in shock, grabbing Y/N by her waist and spinning her around. “I love you!”
“...I love you too!” Y/N exclaimed, smiling widely. This was the first time they had said the words to each other, and they would continue for a long time.
Abe had proposed in an elaborate manner. The patisserie that they had first met outside was being closed down so Abe decided to buy it off the previous owners. He had red rose petals scattered all over and a trail leading up to him kneeling on one knee. As he spoke, live violins began playing.
“Y/N Y/L/N, when we met, you unknowingly became everything to me. It sounds cliché but I fell in love with you the moment I saw you. Not the love that people talk about. But an unexplained attraction, a feeling of home, an urge that I need to talk to this girl and make her mine. All I know is what we’ve shared since the moment we met is special and meant to be preserved. Forever. So, my darling, will you marry me and become a Parker?”
“Yes. A thousand times yes.”
Not long after the proposal, Riley Ava Y/L/N-Parker was born. With Riley’s arrival, came a glorious wedding in Y/F/C and gold. Their wedding was held before friends and family, though the audience wasn’t very big. Their cake was a three-tier cake, representing them and their children. Abe’s baby cousins had been ring bearers and flower girls, Alexei in Abe’s arms as Y/N walked down the aisle with Riley in hers.
“You are my person, my inspiration, my love and my everything. I cannot wait to spend a lifetime loving you. I vow to express my love for you as often as I breathe each breath. You are the person I want to spend forever with.” Abe said, looking at Y/N, adoration and devotion evident in his eyes.
“As I have spent my whole life looking for my other half, I knew it was you from the moment we met. From today onward, you and I will be one in heart, body and mind. I vow to cherish you, devote my life to you and always be true.” Y/N smiled, eyes glistening with happy tears.
Unknown to all that were present, Barry had found out his speed was fading and decided to revert the timeline back to the real one not too long after their wedding.
"There we go. Things are back to how they should be. Well, for me, anyway. For you... well, I guess you'll just have to wait and find out.” Eobard stated after Barry had exited Flashpoint.
"What? What does that mean?” Barry asked, perplexed.
"See you sometime soon, Flash.” Eobard stated, not answering Barry’s question.
Unknown to Barry, his present had now changed. Joe and Iris were now estranged after the revelation that Iris’s mother was still alive. Dante, Cisco’s brother. had died in a drunk driving incident. Diggle had a son instead of a daughter and Julian Albert started working at the CCPD as a CSI. And Y/N? Well, Y/N disappeared into her home with a three-month older Alexei.
Because of all these changes, a new enemy immerged from the shadows. Savitar. A time remnant devoted to staying alive by killing Iris. On 25th December 2016, when Barry runs to the future to obtain Savitar’s true identity, he meets his future self.
“Why are you here?” Future Barry asked.
“I need your help.” Barry stated.
“You're from before she went, aren't you? Before she dies?” Future Barry asked, referring to Y/N and Iris respectively. “You can't save her.”
“Yes, I can. And I'm going to.” Barry said, determined.
“No, you can't. Go home.” Future Barry stated, walking away.
While Barry had visited the future, a certain HR went to a park nearby. A woman played with her son and the sound of ringing laughter.
“Hi.”
“Hello, H.R.”
“You know?”
“I keep up to date. It’s a pleasure. I’m Y/N.”
Over the next year, HR and Y/N became closer, HR learning of Alexei, Abe and Riley. Y/N occasionally aided HR with Team Flash, the two had designed the transmogrification device, Y/N’s aid unknown to the team. When HR was killed by Savitar instead of Iris, Y/N felt his mind fade and tears streamed down his face in shock.
“HR!” She screamed, crying alongside Alexei.
2017 was a hard year. Barry and Iris had their wedding with two future guests making an appearance.
“It just so happens to be your wedding.” One of the waitresses said to Barry.
“You love weddings.” Barry replied.
“I really do.”
“That's cool.” Barry stated.
“Actually. And, I don't know, I just feel like this is gonna be one for the ages. I'm really happy I got to see it.” The waitress rambled.
“Have we met?” Barry asked.
“No. No, I'm a complete and total stranger.” The waitress stuttered before walking away. Another guest walked up to Barry. He was wearing a grey three-piece suit.
“You know. I think there’s someone missing from the wedding.” The man stated. Barry thought about it and looked around, shaking his head.
“I don’t think so.”
“...Of course not.” The Y/H/C man smiled fakely. “Of course, you didn’t.”
After the wedding and Devoe, two unexpected guests arrived in the West household. The same unexpected guests from Barry and Iris’ wedding.
“Weren't you the server at their wedding?” Wally asked.
“Wait, yeah, you were. And you. You were one of the guests.” Barry explained, glancing at the man before turning back to the waitress. “And where did you get this jacket?”
“Uh. From her.” The waitress pointed at Iris.
“Um. No, mine... mine is one of a kind.” Iris explained.
“So was this, uh, when you let me borrow it.” The waitress clarified.
“Who are you?” Barry asked.
“I'm your daughter, Nora. From the future. And I think I made a big, big, mistake.”
“I’m Alexei Y/L/N. I’m here to save my mother. From you.”

Tumblr media
Robin Buckley x single mom!reader
Tumblr media
Summary~ Everyone in Hawkins knew you were a single mother but somehow that never stopped Robin from going after you.
Trigger warning~ teen pregnancy, loosing friends due to this, hinted that it’s an au where the upside down is relevant(idk haven’t decided if it is yet🤷might write in some angst in a later part or something, probably not), fear of being outed,
Part two that is kinda angst-ish I’m not sure?
Tumblr media
When you first met Robin you where in your freshman year of highschool, the two of you quickly became best of friends, though slowly the two of you developed feelings for one another, Robin terrified to be outed refused to say a word about her feelings to anyone except Steve and you not wanting to feel rejected convinced yourself they were just platonic feelings and began to go out with some little jock guy.
Turns out that would leave you with a two year old baby girl named, Alice. After you got pregnant everyone except Robin quit being your friend due to rumors but slowly Robin stopped hanging out with you as well as she dealt with her own issues.
Once you graduated highschool you continued with college but it’s not the easiest being a single mom, and with a job and schooling but you’re managing.
Today was one of the rare days you had gotten out of all scheduled classes and shifts, you could finally spend the entire day with Alice.
Walking into family video you set Alice down, “alright angel, what movie do you want to watch?” You ask her holding her little hand as you guide her towards the children’s movies. She was a shy little girl, she only liked a select few people, she liked princess movies and the color pink, Alice wasn’t that hard to understand so you knew she’d pick the my little pony vhs.
You smiled having guessed correctly as Alice holds onto your pants while pointing towards the vhs. You grabbed the film and put Alice on your hip before making your way to the counter.
“Y/n?” You hear someone ask.
You glance up to see Steve standing behind the counter but before you can say a word a familiar girl is running out the break room pushing Steve away from the counter so she can ring you up.
“Robin?” You ask quietly, she smiles softly looking between you and Alice.
“Listen y/n, I can promise you I never meant to stop hanging out with you, I just some stuff kept coming up and I’d tell you what it was I just don’t think you’d believe me and I’m really sorry I never meant to do that, and now I’m rambling” she comes to a halt when she hears your soft giggles the same ones she fell in love with.
“Robin it’s fine.” You tell her, “what ever came up obviously needed to be taken care of and that’s fine.” You tell her smiling as she hands you the vhs.
“Maybe I can…” she pauses for a moment and the look on your face is screaming at her for what you hope the next words that leave her mouth to be the ones you’ve waited years to hear, “take you out sometime and explain…and catch up you know.” She whipsers suddenly getting nervous.
“I’d like that, you know you could always come over and watch my little pony, I’m sure Alice wouldn’t mind would you honey?” Alice looks up with wide eyes as you give her a loving look before shaking her head no.
“Oh” Robin can feel herself breath out, “Uhm yea I can come over tonight, I’ll get off early today” Steve sends her a look knowing damn well Robin is lying she was supposed to work later tonight.
“Great it’s a date than!” You tell her turning around to exit.
“It’s a date” she mumbles under her breath as Alice waves to her letting out a little bye bye.
Tumblr media
I will write a part two for this fic(very soon working on it now so!!) maybe I’ll even make it into a little series if anyone would like that!! I haven’t really decided if this is just like fluffy happy au or if I want to try and write with cannon plot line but add in reader and Alice maybe a combination? Like I have an idea for one thing about the cannon stuff but other than that no idea😭

Brought Together by a Five-Year-Old (Dean Winchester x F!Reader) Part 1: The Call
Tumblr media
Dean Winchester loved his job, really he did, but sometimes handling a classroom full of five and six-year-old kids could be a real pain in his ass. One of those times was now.
"Anna please get down from there!" Rushing over to the young girl who was confidently climbing up the bookshelf in the corner of the room, Dean scooped her up and set her back down on the ground. Crouching down to talk to her face to face he began to lightly scold her, "You know you aren't allowed to do that. We've gone over this, it's not safe. You can climb on the playground but not in he-" Interrupted mid-lecture by the sound of bickering, Dean's head whips toward the sound.
Immediately his eyes land on two students, who just minutes ago were peacefully painting abstract masterpieces on paper and now stood on their chairs facing each other, death in their narrowed eyes. Each student held dripping paintbrushes in their hands, poised and ready for battle at a moments notice. Dean sighed, giving Anna a look as if to say 'this isn't over' and rushed to the tension-filled warzone to stop the impending battle from unfolding. Trying to stay calm, Dean made a move for the paintbrushes. Both children sensed the man's intentions and pulled away, unwilling to find peace so soon. Dean looked at the kids, "Alright, remember, the paint is for the paper not for each other and it certainly isn't a weapon. Let's set the brushes down and take a break." The children seemed to contemplate this idea for a moment, before looking at each other and coming to a silent agreement. Both turned to Dean with determination in their little eyes. Dean gulped, feeling fear flood through him, "Lucy... Michael... What are you doing?". Without another word, the two kindergarteners shot their chubby arms towards their beloved teacher and ran two thick stripes of paint down the front of his face. Satisfied with their work, the children sat back down and resumed the creation their paintings.
Dean stood, reigning his emotions and resigning himself to the fact that he was now painted like Braveheart. Fitting. It certainly felt like he was fighting an army of English soldiers. At least Braveheart was a badass... maybe he could channel that. His thoughts were interrupted by a devilish giggle he knew all too well. Wiping his eyes, he looked around until he found the source of the mischief, "Gabriel, what have we said about smashing Playdoh into the carpet?" The boy looked up at his teacher, hazel eyes full of innocence and apologies, as he leaned forward, putting more of his weight on the chunk of red Playdoh he was currently making one with the fibers of the carpet. Taking a deep breath and closing his eyes once again, Dean took a moment to calm himself before confronting the little trickster for the second time. With a warning tone, he spoke, "Gabriel. You don't want me to have to call your mother again, do you? This is your last chance bud. Stop with the Playdoh." Gabriel narrowed his eyes at his teacher, leaning back from his chaotic melding of carpet and clay. The child stuck his lower lip out and his eyes began to water. Dean rolled his eyes, knowing Gabriel was a practiced pouter and told the boy to clean up the mess, assuring him that his mother would not be called. When he saw that Gabriel had actually begun to clean the mess, he began to survey the room for any other catastrophes in progress.
Seeing that all was, for the moment, well Dean sat himself down in one of the tiny seats surrounding the tables in the room, looking absurdly large in relation to the chair he was sitting in. After taking a few breaths he began to relax, reaching up to rub his face. He stopped halfway through the motion, remembering the blue paint that clearly marked him as the victim of abusive five-year-olds. Groaning, he removed his hands and stared at them, his now Smurf blue skin staring back at him mockingly. Taking another deep breath he looked at the clock on the wall. Three more hours til the kids left. Then an hour of cleaning up. A few more of preparation for the rest of the week. God he hated Mondays. Putting his hands on his knees, he pushed himself out of the chair. Realizing his mistake a second too late he refused to look at the two large, blue handprints that now decorated his jeans. Trudging over to the bathroom, he washed his hands before taking a look in the mirror. Sighing dejectedly he cursed Mondays and belligerent children while thanking the gods above for skin-safe paints. Halfway through the removal of his accidental facemask, the classroom phone began to ring.
His eyes widened in knowing panic and he quickly dried his face, trying to reach the phone before he heard what he knew was bound to happ- "Hello this is Mr. Winchester's woom, Castiel speaking. How may I help you?" Dean rushed out of the bathroom to see the unusually small black haired child holding the phone up to his tiny head. "Oh, Mr. Winchester is in the baffwoom. Yes, there was an incidenant - I mean incident - wiff some of the other students and some paint and Mr. Winchester's face." Castiel paused, listening intently to the person on the other line,"Yes ma'am he is ok. He just came out of the woom. Yes, he's watching me wight now, he seems to want the phone." The child paused again, a small hint of a blush passing over his face, "Thank you ma'am, my mudder says it is vewy important for a person to be well spoken. I pwactice my vocabulawy evewyday." He pauses again, this time nodding with vigor in response, "Yes, of couwse ma'am. I'll put him on the phone now. Have a nice day!" And with that the beaming child stuck the phone out towards his teacher. "It's S/N's mudder Mr. Winchester. I think she's a wittle stwessed out." Unable to hide his smile, Dean took the phone from Castiel, "Thank you for taking care of that while I was busy, now go back to playing with S/N and Kevin ok?" The boy nodded and scampered off, leaving Dean to talk with Ms. L/N.
Remembering the phone in his hand Dean quickly held the receiver up to his ear, "Hello Ms. L/N, what can I do for you? And my apologies for Castiel, he's a very enthusiastic and stubborn helper." Dean heard light laughter on the other side of the line before the woman responded.
"No worries Mr. Winchester, he sounded adorable and honestly I'm in the middle of a very chaotic and stressful day at work so that was a welcome interaction. Gave me a reason to laugh." The woman on the other end replied, laughing awkwardly. She continued, "Oh, and really, there's no need for formalities. You can call me Y/N."
Dean couldn't help feeling a bit warmer inside at the mirth in the woman's voice. He certainly didn't think he was this casual and warm when he was having a stressful day, but he supposed that explained how good-natured S/N was. Shaking his head to stop himself from getting lost in his thoughts he laughed, "Well if I can call you Y/N then you don't have to call me Mr. Winchester. Dean is just fine. I'm glad Castiel wasn't a nuisance, especially if you're having a rough day. Believe me, I can relate." He laughed self deprecatingly.
Her smile audible through the phone, Y/N responded, "Oh, I'm sure. I honestly don't think I'd have the patience for your job, kudos to you Mr. Wi- Dean. Anyway, I have a favor to ask. I'm really sorry to do this but my neighbor usually picks S/N up from school but she just called me telling me she's in the hospital. She's older and apparently fell and they're keeping her overnight just to make sure she's ok. I don't get out of work until at least 5 and it's a 45-minute ride back on the train because I work in the city. I was just wondering if it's possible and at all convenient if S/N could stay after with you for a couple hours until I get back. I'm really really sorry to ask and it's completely understandable if that's not possible. I just need to figure something out and I don't have a lot of time to do so. Like I said it's very hectic at work today, I'm needed in meetings nonstop until 5. I swear I'll make it up to you. Do you like pie? I make a damn good apple pie. Sorry for the language, I'm a bit frazzled." She rambled on and on until Dean had to interject to stop her from spiraling.
"Woah woah woah, calm down Y/N. Take a deep breath. I'm fine with watching S/N after class. I usually stay until at least 6:30 anyway to clean up and work on lesson plans. It's no problem at all. Besides, he's one of my favorite students and he's probably the best-behaved kid in the class so if anything he'll be a help to me. Maybe I'll have him sort my paperwork or clean the whiteboards." Dean jested, sensing that he needed to lighten the mood and reassure the woman that everything was ok.
"Really? Oh god, thank you so much! You're a lifesaver honestly! I don't know who else I would've called. Please let me know what I can do to make it up to you. Could I talk to S/N to explain? I'll have to go in a second." Y/N asked, her voice full of gratitude and relief.
"Yes, of course. And no need to repay me, I told you he's a star student and I love having him around. Though I would not be opposed to a nice slice of apple pie. I'll get S/N now." Holding his hand over the receiver, Dean glanced around the room and called for the boy in question. S/N looked up from the puppets he and Castiel were playing with to see Dean gesturing him over. S/N wobbled over to the desk and Dean handed him the phone while simultaneously mouthing 'It's your mom'.
"Mama?" The young Y/H/C boy asked sweetly.
"Hi, bub! I'm just calling to let you know that Mrs. Finnegan can't pick you up from school today, so I've asked Mr. Winchester to watch you until I get home from work and can come and pick you up. Is that ok with you S/N?" Y/N explained, the affection she felt for her little boy clear in her voice.
"Yes, that's ok with me Mama. I love Mr. Winchester!" Dean couldn't help but grin at the five-year-olds enthusiastic declaration, a reminder of why his job was so very worth the paint on his face and the Playdoh in the carpet.
"I know you do bub, I know you do." Y/N laughed, "Now I've got to go, can you put me back on the phone with Mr. Winchester?" Dean could just barely hear the conversation and felt his heart warm even more at the love so present between the two. When he thought about it, he also felt a pang of sadness, remembering how much he missed his own mother and how much he had loved her.
"Yes, Mama. I love you!" The child grinned, holding the phone tightly to his head.
"Oh, I love you too S/N, so much! I'll see you later!" His mother cooed.
"Ok, bye Mama." S/N looked up at Dean expectantly, holding the receiver up as high as he could to try and properly hand it to the man.
"Thank you S/N, you can go play now." Dean smiled down at the boy as he waddled back to his puppet show. "Hey there Y/N."
"Hi Dean, I just wanted to say thanks again. I should get out around five today so I'll most likely be at the school around 5:45-6. I'm very sorry for this. Thank you so much, you're an angel, truly. And hey, maybe when I pick him up I can hear about this 'paint incident' that Castiel was talking about." The woman sighed with relief.
"Oh god, yeah sure I can tell you all of my horror stories. And again, it is no problem at all. I'll see you then." Chuckling, Dean shook his head at the woman's over apologetic nature.
"See you then, Dean. And thank you so much!"
With that Dean heard the line go dead and was left to ponder the warmth he felt in his chest.

Close Encounters of the Spiderkind
Tumblr media
Pairing: Miguel O’Hara x Single Mother!Reader
Summary: When reader refuses to go on a mission, Miguel decides to pay a home visit to figure out why
Warnings: SLIGHT SPOILERS FOR ATSV! fluff, slight hurt/comfort and angst if you squint hard enough, Miguel is a softie around kids, it’s giving slow burn/platonic vibes, not fluent in Spanish so feel free to correct my wording/punctuation
A/N: This is kind of my way of dipping my toes back into the world of fanfiction writing, if ya’ll end up liking it I was planning on making it a little series of sorts. Not necessarily a multipart story, rather just little moments following the same general characters. I took the liberty of assigning a gender and name to the reader’s daughter since that sounded like it’d be easier in terms of writing, the rest is still like any Y/N story. Reader is also a spider person, but I’m not married to the idea for future oneshots? Drabbles? I don’t know what you kids call them nowadays...
MASTERLIST | TAGLIST
Tumblr media
It had only been a couple months since you had joined Spider-Society and, while you were still trying to find your footing, things were going a lot better than expected. There was a comradery with being around other people with the same abilities, who had experienced the same losses, victories and all that came with wearing the mask. You had found some good friends among the other Spiders, particularly with Peter B and Jess, as there was a common ground there that you had yet to share with them; something that the three of you had in common.
That commonality was currently asleep in the other room, your daughter Vada. For once, it had been a day where the radios were quiet. No calls from HQ to go on missions, no worrying chatter on the police radios, so you had taken the day to spend time with your daughter. The three year old was going through a phase where she was having nightmares almost every night, so the day was spent at home relaxing. From watching movies, to cooking meals together, Vada had been your little shadow all day and you had enjoyed every second of it.  While your toddler had tuckered herself out, you were restless, curled up on the couch watching TV at a low enough volume that only you could hear, thanks to your heightened senses. It may have been almost midnight, but that was still considered an early night for you. Used to the regime of patrolling until early in the morning and crawling into bed to get a few hours asleep before Vada came in to ask for her breakfast. Just as you were starting to feel the pull of sleep on your eyelids, letting the quiet calm sink into your bones, the moment was then yanked from you. When the beeping started the first time, you had acted on instinct to silence the noise. Your hand practically slapped the Gizmo on your wrist, the same Gizmo given to you by Miguel when you had joined his Spider-Society.  Ugh, Miguel. It was a damn shame that such a pretty face was wasted on a sourpuss like him. While being the leader of an elite group of Spider-People sounded like no easy task, there were times the man definitely took it too seriously. Sure, he had a great work ethic and was a respectable leader, but that all came with the downside that you couldn’t stand being around him for more than five minutes. You two hadn’t gotten off on the right foot and it seemed like he wouldn’t let you live that down. Ever the stern, cold-hearted leader, barking orders and chewing your ass out if something went wrong. He hardly ever smiled and when he did it was condescending, almost smug as he questioned just how intelligent you actually were. A waste of a pretty face indeed.
That pretty face came to mind when you looked down at your Gizmo, which was beeping once more, finally processing that it was Miguel who was trying to contact you. Shit.
“Hello?” your voice is quiet, wary as you answer him finally; trying to keep quiet for the toddler sleeping in the other room. Also because of the worry that you’ve pissed him off once again.
“Why aren’t you answering?” his voice cuts through the silence, monotone and firm. “An anomaly was detected on Earth-616, go take care of it. Ben Reilly and Peter Parker from Earth-13122 are already en route.”
“I....can’t,” you cringe as the word leaves your mouth. The pregnant pause that follows feels like an eternity.
“What do you mean you ‘can’t’?” He spits the word back at you, like you offended him with just the one syllable. More silence follows, Miguel waiting for your answer and you not knowing what to say. “...Is something wrong?”
“I have to go,” you end the call, not even registering the concern that had slid its way into his tone. With a heavy sigh, you lay your head against the back of the couch, regretting how you handled the situation, but thankful it was dealt with. That is until the familiar sound of a portal opening and closing disturbs your precious quiet once more.
It makes you almost jump out of your skin, physically lurching off the couch, the warm hues from the light of the portal filling your living room and disappearing as quickly as they came. In their place is Miguel, clad in his spidersuit from head to toe. A wave of emotions goes through you, the look of shock, confusion and anger crossing your face in less than a second. He doesn’t seem to have noticed you yet, glancing around the space and disengaging his mask when he doesn’t register any immediate threats.
“What are you doing here!?” it takes all you have not to shout the words at him, instead resorting to a sort of hiss to keep your voice down. Miguel doesn’t seem to take the hint.
“This is why you couldn’t come? Because you’re too busy lounging around and watching trash TV?” he isn’t shouting per se, rather his tone makes him sound louder. That and the quiet of your apartment probably amplified his voice even more. “I know the weight of keeping the multiverse intact might go over your head, but the least you could do is be there for your teammates. I don’t allow slackers in my-” “Shh!” you’re moving towards him without even realizing, motherly instinct telling you to silence the noise that dared try to wake your daughter. Your hand reaches to cover his loud mouth and Miguel takes a step back to avoid your touch, the frustration reflecting in his eyes turning into red, hot anger.
“Did you just ‘shh’ me!?” he sounds as if he’s in disbelief, his voice now actually rising in volume. You stumble over your words, trying to apologize and explain yourself all at once. Now it’s his turn to step towards you, his imposing frame towering over you and you can’t help but shrink back, “I don’t know who you think you are, but if you don’t get your ass in your suit, I’ll-”
“Mama?” Vada’s little voice cuts through the air, both Miguel and you freezing. When you turn to look at your daughter, who’s standing in the doorway to her bedroom, it feels like everything around you fades away. The static of the TV, Miguel, everything until all you can focus on is Vada. She’s clearly distressed, as you come to kneel in front of her you can see the tears in her big round eyes, the redness around them and on her nose, the slight tremble in her bottom lip. You know what’s wrong before she even has to explain.
“Sweet girl, another one?” you ask calmly, a hand going to stroke her hair. Vada nods, confirming your suspicion that she had been roused by yet another nightmare. The creak of the floorboards alerts you of Miguel taking a step closer and you’re suddenly very much aware of his presence once again. However, your eyes don’t leave Vada’s crying face. “Let’s get you back into bed,” you try to coax her into heading back the way she came, your toddler only resisting and shaking her head firmly.
“I want Mama’s bed,” she demands, sounding groggy as the sleep she had just risen from had yet to fully leave her. Vada doesn’t even let you respond before her tiny arms wrap around your neck, face pressing into the junction of your neck and shoulder, “Want you,” she mutters against you, the exhaustion and distress in her voice making your heart ache for her. “Vada,” you sigh heavily, exhausted as well. Exhausted from the heavy workload of being Spider-Woman not just for your universe, but other universes as well. Exhausted from the fact your child couldn’t get a wink of sleep and seeing her frustrated made you frustrated as well. You cave, scooping your daughter up in your arms and standing. Her body molds to yours, relaxing against your frame like it had done so many times before. As you rub her back and kiss her temple, you’re forced to turn and deal with the elephant in the room. Or rather the spider.
You expect Miguel to look annoyed, as usual, but he isn’t. In fact, the anger he was prepared to unleash on you moments ago seems to have vanished, replaced with a look of curiosity, intrigue and dare you say....awe? He’s looking at Vada, who’s about to pass out in your arms, with a softened expression, the sight of the small girl seeming to tug the corners of his mouth up just slightly.
Huh.
Miguel seems to catch himself staring, shaking his head to clear the fog and meeting your gaze once more. “I...didn’t know,” is all he can say, not as confident in the way he stands.
“No one knows,” you reply in a much harsher tone than you intended. After a deep breath, you adjust how you speak, “I’ve only been on the team for a couple months. It’s not that I don’t trust the other spiders...I just want to be careful, yah know?” Miguel nods along with what you say and you can’t help but keep talking to fill the now awkward silence, “Usually I have someone to watch her, but it’s been so long since I’ve had a day to just give her all my attention- I promise, it won’t happen again. I know that I should answer if you call-”
“Cállate,” Miguel cuts you off and you’re almost grateful he’s saved you from rambling. There’s another moment of silence before he sighs, “You don’t have to explain yourself, really. If I had known,” he waves a hand to indicate to your daughter, “this was the reason you were ignoring my calls, I wouldn’t have been so hard on you. Your daughter comes first, I get it.”
His words hit harder than they should. Every Spider-Person had heard the story. How Miguel was willing to put his own duties aside to live in a universe where he had a daughter of his own. Replacing the him of that universe, who had died tragically, to live the life he had always wanted; only to have that universe crumble around him. Literally. It explained his cold demeanor, you’d probably be a bitch too if your daughter died in your arms, but that coldness you had become accustomed to seemed to melt away the longer he took in the sight of you holding your daughter.
“You said her name’s Vada?” he asks, stepping a little closer. Normally, you would probably keep your distance from him, maternal instincts in overdrive with an imposing figure like Miguel so close to Vada, but you stay in place. Not bothered by his presence for once. He’s looking at you, expecting an answer, and you nod your head. He hums, “How old?”
“Three,” you answer and he hums again. “...Is everything okay? Regarding the mission?”
“Huh? Oh,” he clears his throat, adjusting his stance and taking a small step back. When had he gotten so close to you? “I think those two should be fine on their own. Earth-13122′s Spider-Man knows what he’s doing and-”
“You know, you can just call him Lego Spider-Man. Everyone calls him Lego Spider-Man.”
“That’s not his correct title.”
“Uh-huh,” you smile, holding back a laugh at how serious Miguel seemed to be about the subject. “...Well, I think it’s time we go to bed.”
“Right, right,” Miguel moves like he’s about to walk out the front door, seeming to forget that he had come via portal and catching himself as his hand grasps the handle. Has he always been this socially awkward? He turns to look at you again, “Should I just...?”
“Yes, please open your noisy portal outside.”
“Claro que sí,” he nods in understanding, opening the door. Just as he’s about to leave, he pauses again, turning to look back at you, “Even if you’re busy, you should still answer when I call. I was worried about you.”
“Worried about me?” you repeat, a bit of teasing in your voice.
“Worried as in the normal amount of worried.”
“Sure, sure, O’Hara.”
“I’m leaving now,” he huffs, turning to leave again. Yet he can’t help but stop one more time, “Goodnight.”
He finally leaves, door shutting with a soft click. You go to the door to lock it, carrying Vada into your room for bed. It seems that she had managed to fall back asleep despite your little interaction with Miguel. As you lay down and pull the comforter over the two of you, Vada snuggling impossibly close to you once more, you lie there thinking about what had just transpired.
Maybe his pretty face wasn’t a waste.

Hi, Amira! For the drabble’s request I had in mind a Modern!Lucerys x Single mom!reader. They study at the same university and one day Lucerys finds her outside campus, sitting on a bench with her babygirl. Reader is struggling with taking care of her daughter while studying, so Luke comes and offers to keep an eye on the baby while she studies. Turns out, reader can’t study anyway because she is too distracted and in love with Lucerys and her daughter. Hope you liked it 🩷

“Mummy really needs to finish studying this, my sweet girl.”
Your 10 months old daughter cooed joyfully. Her little hands were extended towards you as to play. You struggled with sitting on the bench, holding her on your lap, and focusing on the books for an essay you needed to present in the following week. You had become a mother at a really young age. The devotion you felt for your daughter was immense, you adored your princess — but her father had left both of you completely alone at the most inconvenient moment possible. Not only you studied, but as well you worked hard to provide a secure future for both of you.
Lucerys, a friend you had recently made on the university, and a boy your eyes always fixed their stare in, spotted both of you together from a short distance as he walked around the campus. The young student noticed the struggle you went through trying to perfectly balance your studies, with taking care of your little girl. Luke knew you were both a loving mother and a dedicated student, he could only imagine how hard it must be for you. With soft footsteps, he approached you. Your baby girl’s cooing and the soft words you muttered to her in order to try and manage the situation became louder as Lucerys got near you.
“(y/n)?” Lucerys softly called out with a gentle smile. Your gaze moved upwards to meet with his own, faintly becoming flustered at his presence. Before you could greet back, he continued. “I’ve seen you were struggling with taking care of your little girl and studying.” in a swift emotion, the backpack hanging from his shoulder slid through his arm, and he placed it next to you, sitting on the bench. “May I take care of her for you? I would be delighted, please.”
For a moment, you quietly considered it. Lucerys had younger siblings, so you were certain he would know how to take care of your babygirl. Besides, you did need some help. “Yes, please. I would be thankful, Luke.” you sighed in relief, smiling meekly at him as you held your daughter, and passed it onto his arms. A wide grin formed on his lips as your daughter giggled at the sight of him. Luke placed her on his lap, as you tried to return to your books and gain some focus.
“Hello, little princess.” he cooed at her, using his index finger to caress her cheek. Your daughter giggled, as she stared at him fondly. Your gaze was fixed on the book, but your mind couldn’t help but mindlessly wander at the way he treated your babygirl. “You’re so adorable! You look just like your mummy, don’t you, sweet girl?” the little hand of your daughter took hold of his index finger, as she giggled. Luke gently moved up and down the leg where she sat on top of, playing with her.
Discreetly, you tilted your head to stare at him. They both stared at each other so sweetly, Luke seemed to already adore your daughter as if it were his own. A wide grin formed on his lips, as he babytalked to her, and used the tip of his fingers to tickle her cheek, making her laugh.
Your heart fluttered at the sight of it, helplessly smiling. Gods, you couldn’t even focus on your books. Luke was too much of a sweet boy, almost resembling a proper father to your daughter — it was impossible not to admire him, nearly head over heels. How could you deny the fact that you were falling in love with him?

how do you think boyfriend! draken would react to meeting your young child maybe around 4-7 years old?
a/n : for this, i'll be making them young adults in their 20s, if that's alright with you, dollface <3 yn will be 22 and so will have had her daughter at 17/18 just to keep things simple
thank you for being my first birthday special request!
Tumblr media
As a young single mother, you’ve had a lot of struggles growing up ever since you’ve had your daughter. There were a lot of judgemental stares and plenty of hurtful words thrown your way. It was tough. But, as a result, you’ve been able to grow thicker skin and that was one of the reasons why Draken found you so magnetic.
The day you met, he was working away on a bike when he saw you getting verbally harassed by some perverted delinquents while carrying your groceries. He instantly jumped into action but before he could reach the scene, you already had the men tormenting you on the ground and painfully clutching their crushed manhoods. It was comedic really and, despite Draken not having officially met you before, there was a swell of pride and astonishment that filled his chest at the sight of you standing tall over trashy men.
You looked like an ordinary lady, albeit with a more elegant and sophisticated aura despite your humble appearance. Nevertheless, he never expected such brutish behaviour from you but he didn’t mind, it was quite attractive really, especially when you were happily smiling up at him in thanks for his concern once he reached you.
He didn’t feel comfortable letting you walk home alone after that but you insisted on being okay, stating that you didn’t have much longer to walk so he hesitantly let you go. After that, he would always spot you walking past his shop with your groceries and soon enough…one thing led to another and he was spending his breaks with you almost every day as boyfriend and girlfriend.
That was months ago but, even now, there was something you were hiding from him though. The motorbike mechanic could tell from the distant look and slight panic in your eyes every time he got too close or when the chemistry between you two was going particularly well, too well.
He couldn’t wrap his head around what he could have possibly been doing wrong to make you hesitate around him so much. He’s sure he’s kept his touch respectful, his words polite and his mannerisms gentlemanly; all he wants is to make you comfortable enough to trust in him more but you’ve never seemed willing to until today.
Draken had brought up his concerns with you the week before and after some time, you gave in and confessed your biggest secret.
“Kenny, this is my daughter, Chiharu,” Draken looks down at the little girl clinging onto your long white skirt and smiles softly when she quickly hides behind the makeshift curtain upon making eye contact with him.
He never expected you to be a mother but he really should have seen it coming. The two of you were still young but you always seemed more mature than him, always prepared and with a caring touch only natural-born mothers could provide.
“Hey Chiharu,” he kneels down to offer his large hand with a subtle, kind smile, “it’s nice to meet you, you can call me Kenny,”
“Kenny…” the little girl reappears from behind your flowing white skirt once more and breaths his name softly. Her shy nature is adorable and makes the gigantic man want to scoop her up and keep her protected always. No wonder you were so ambivalent to telling him the truth. Chiharu looks like the most precious little girl he’s ever seen, all chubby cheeked and doe-eyed, skin soft and hair fluffy; barely reaching his knee and with the cutest voice he has ever heard speak.
“That’s me, hello Chiharu,” you’ve never heard Draken’s voice so soft before. His usually deep baritone voice makes it hard for him to achieve such a softness but seeing him deliver on an almost impossible thing just for your daughter makes your heart soar. All the men you’ve introduced Chiharu to so far have all had negative reactions, at first faking their want to try for you and your daughter until it finally came time to the meeting the light of your life and they hardly put in the effort.
They seemed like well-established, handsome gentleman at first but the way the acted so uncaringly for your daughter, who you had with your ex - another man - made them turn so ugly in your eyes.
And yet…here Draken was with his motor oil stained finger nails, his dragon tattoo on full display and his rough, gigantic build crouching down to meet eyes with your daughter, his gaze welcoming and demure, his voice ever kinder and sweet and his smile warm.
“Hello, Kenny,” your daughter gives her version of a wave by opening and closing her small hand twice or so before Draken does the same. Chiharu squeals in shyness and hides behind your skirt again, clinging onto the fabric but not out of fear. You can tell that she’s excited to meet and potentially make a new friend. And to your absolute delight, from the beaming smile and adoring eyes of your rough ’n tough mechanic of a boyfriend, he was just as excited too.

For the photo dump idk why but #8 feels like Higher love Ari or really any of the Bucky's
Tumblr media
“Bucky! Seriously?” You wave the phone in your hand and roll your eyes, watching the super soldier’s eyes narrow and his jaw clench.
Hey so like in case there was any confusion
You’re fucking mine
“I don’t trust them.” His response is astute and possessive in its intent however its delightful enough to make your thighs quake. “And this is the first time you’re meeting them.”
The conversation comes to an end as the doors open and the party officially starts with Tony Stark entering the room with his arms raised deserving the ultimate victory prize for giving Bucky a penthouse suite.
“Barnes, welcome to your new home.” He greeted Bucky with a quick fired grin, and then looked at you. “Whose this?”
“My wife-”
“-girlfriend.” You scolded Bucky and threw him a look, feigning anger despite wanting to find his scowl adorable. “We’ve been on like 12 dates-”
“My wife, Stark.” Bucky’s tone grew persistent, his hand reaching for your waist as a means to pull him closer to you, or to pull you closer to him.
“What’s the story? How’d you meet?” Tony’s eyes narrowed ever so slightly, a dull and almost incomprehensible whir coming from his purple tinted glasses.
“You’re not serious? Bucky you can’t be serious-”
“I met my future wife while she was on a first date with my best friend,” Bucky’s grin was illusive yet warm, his artificial arm whirring as his fingers curled around your hand, “Steven Grant Rogers is the reason why we met.”
“You’re not saying that during our wedding-“
“Do you admit we’re gonna get married doll?” His teasing tongue found yours in a heated goodnight kiss, teasing and taunting you with the promise of a long night if this wasn’t your parting.
“Goodnight, Bucky.”
“I’ve gotta get you a house first, and then a ring. I promise I will, darling. And then you’re mine.”
“Steve.” “Through Steve.”
“A house tour and a home-warming party.” Tony glazed over your dual answer and stepped aside, allowing the two of you to partake in the first glance at this penthouse suite Tony gave Bucky.
“A house-“
“-and then a ring.” Bucky whispered into your hair, kissing your temple softly. “I’m doing it all, sweetheart.”
“-she’s a teacher, Tony. She teaches elementary-“ Your attention shifted to the conversation you could hear between Steve and Tony, the prior conveying the same tight lipped story you chose to go with, when giving the answer of how you and Bucky met.
“-there’s more to it, Rogers. Quit holding out on me, pal.” Tony pressed, urging Steve to tell the duty details, and before you could have listened to the results of Tony’s nattering, a hand grasped yours and yanked you aside.
“Natasha,” Bucky’s eyes followed you, his voice taking a slightly deeper bite as he warned his friend and fellow avenger not to drag you too far.
“God, you’re beautiful. And your little girl…” Natasha bounced your little 18 month old baby on her hip, pleased by her grabbing hands reaching for her hair. “Auntie Natasha, you’ll call me auntie Nat, and we-”
“Natasha.” Bucky stepped close, his eye hovering on you and then your baby, protectively focused on both of you.
Focusing on his instant family. Even before the 12 or so dates in, Bucky was already endeared and enthralled by you and your child.
“Relax, Barnes.” Natasha prodded his shoulder with her finger and gently nudged him away. “Go relax, I promise to take good care of your girlfriend-“
“Wife.” Bucky corrected her, and stole a searing kiss from you before he kissed your baby’s forehead, giving Nat one last lingering warning.
“12 dates,” Natasha quirked her lips and smirked, “he was in love on date one.”

Honey - Steve Harrington x Single Mother! Reader - pt 2
Welcome to part two of my single mum fic! Sorry it's taken me so long to get this out, but I sort of screwed myself over, I left it at a place I couldn't figure out where to go from there. But I hope you guys like this! Xxx ____________________________
3rd Person pov
(y/n) hummed to herself as she walked through the aisles of the store, picking up products, glancing at the prices and then putting them back. She had baby Jamie in a wrap, pressed against her chest and Sam was trailing along behind her, holding on to her mama's sweater and her other hand gripping her blanket. A lot of the women in the store had already seen the little family walking around, either frowning in disdain or in absolute shock that the fabled single mother of Hawkins had such well behaved children, she seemed to be taking care of them with such ease!
(y/n) had a smile on her face as she picked up some things for dinner, still slightly humming to herself and the sleeping baby. As much as the glances and the 'quiet' comments bothered her, she was happy, she was away from her past and looking to her future with two wonderful babies!
"(y/n)?" A voice asked from behind her, turning around, she saw a head of dark, curly hair, arms covered in tattoos and a ripped shirt.
"Eddie?" She responded, keeping her voice low and even, looking him up and down, she was shocked at just how little he had changed. The two had been friends when she and her family lived just outside of town. Her father and Wayne had worked at the same car shop until Wayne and Eddie moved further into Hawkins, that was when the two of them were about thirteen.
Leaning an arm over the baby against her chest, she gave him a tight, one armed hug, "It's so good to see you again!" She smiled, already smelling the familiar scent of faint pot... Eddie smiled his signature grin, which quickly dropped when he noticed the children alongside his childhood friend.
"It's great to see you too! Who's this?" He asked, glancing at the baby and again at the toddler. (y/n) smiled shyly, introducing her kids to the metal head.
"These are my kids, this is Jamie, and this is Samantha, we recently moved back here." She told him, seeing his eyes widening in shock as he took them in. They were a family, the three of them, it was immensely obvious just how related the three of them were. They all had the same nose and Eddie could feel they were the same. (y/n) always had a certain aura about her, something that made everyone around her feel calm and soothed. He could see how baby Jamie relaxed into her chest, could see how Samantha got calmer the closer she got to her mother.
Eddie hadn't expected this, he saw her from behind and thought, 'It can't be her, no way, she left years ago...' And obviously there was the sudden show of kids... But she was here, this was the same girl he'd grown up with! And she has kids...
He couldn't wrap his head around it.
"Eddie?" (y/n) was waving a hand in front of his face, he seemed to have broken.
"Eddie?" Another voice seemed to appear from nowhere, coming up behind Eddie and clapping a hand onto his shoulder, startling him from his reverie. "Hey, I couldn't find the cereal you wanted so I just picked up-" Realising the two had company, the voice looked up and saw (y/n).
(e/c) met shocked, chocolate eyes, seeing Steve, the guy she had met the other day. "Steve!" She cheered, earning herself a smile from the young man holding the most sugary cereal she had ever seen and probably wouldn't let her little ones eat.
"Hey! It's good to see you, I wasn't expecting to see you again so soon!" He said, going to shake her hand but realised her hands were a bit full of baby Jamie, who he gave a small smile and a wave to. Turning to see Sam behind her leg, he bent down to say hi, offering her a wave and smile also. Seeing him there, Sam came out from behind her mama's leg slightly and went over to Steve, starting to clamber into his lap, seeing as how he was low to the floor.
(y/n) stuttered, "Sam, honey, Steve might not want to cuddle!" She said quietly, hoping that she would understand and climb down without bawling her eyes out. Steve chuckled and sat firmly on the floor, helping Sam get comfy in his lap.
"It's cool, I'm just glad she likes me!" He said cheerily, smiling up at the young mother, who swore she felt her heart skip a beat at how cute the two of them looked together. At this point, Eddie had finally gotten over the news.
"So... You have kids now! When did that happen? Hey, who's the father?" He asked, his rapid fire question overwhelming even him. (y/n)'s face dropped suddenly, holding Jamie closer to her chest, protectively. Her foot turning towards Sam out of reflex.
Swallowing heavily and clearing her throat, (y/n) responded in a voice Eddie had never heard from her before, "They don't have a dad." It was a sound that was cold and sharp, clearly saying to stop asking. Eddie knew better, so he dropped it, reaching over tentatively to run his finger along Jamie's chubby cheek, eyeing (y/n) cautiously, to make sure that it was okay. She simply smiled her angel smile, her demeanour and bounced the baby in her arms.
Steve and Sam were getting along like a house on fire, she hadn't said a word, happily toying with the man's fluffy hair and listening to him babble and ask questions about how she liked living in Hawkins and what her favourite foods were. (y/n) couldn't help but melt at the scene, she had never seen her little girl so comfortable with anyone other than her, especially a stranger. She worried a little at how her heart skipped a beat, she had felt this feeling before and it hadn't ended well, she didn't want to make the same mistake in men twice.
Eddie seemed to have another revelation seeing Sam and Steve together, "Wait, you two know each other?" He asked curiously, looking between the two of them. (y/n) nodded, beginning to look through the aisles for things on her shopping list again. She began picking up very sensible items, herbs and spice to clearly put in a meal, unlike the children's cereal Steve just picked up for Eddie.
It made Steve realise just how different they were, he was deemed the mom of the group, but (y/n) was literally a mom, and she was kicking ass at it! Steve thought about the amount of times he'd tried to get Eddie to eat a bit healthier, like not buying the cereal that had three times the sugar and was three times the cost of healthy cereal... Seeing how (y/n) was interacting with the kids and Eddie, Steve fully believed that using her angelic voice, her beautiful smile and pure motherly instinct she could get him eating lettuce for every meal!
Steve hadn't realised just how much he had been staring at the young mother until Sam pulled on his hair and Eddie kicked him in the ribs at the same time. "Ow!" He told the metalhead disapproving, rubbing his side. Hearing (y/n) laugh at him was not something he knew he wanted, but it was delightful, like jingle bells... Steve tried to put Sam down to follow her mom down the aisle of the store, but she wouldn't budge, so he lifted himself to his feet, heaving her into sitting on his hip as he himself followed (y/n).
"So what's your plan for dinner tonight lil mama?" He asked the woman cheekily, leading to (y/n) giggling bashfully. Sam began jumping up and down, or as much as she could in Steve's embrace.
"Spaghetti!" She cheered excited, her mom smiling at her lovingly. Steve also smiled at the young girl.
"Spaghetti huh? Your mom's spaghetti must be awesome!" He enthused, loving the look the (y/n) was now giving the both of them at the sweet interaction.
Sam nodded quickly, "It's the bestest!" Causing Steve to chuckle at the sweet error, hearing a soft correction from the young girl's mother, the two practicing the word a few times.
Eddie popped into the conversation, "What's wrong with the word bestest?" He asked, testing the word a few times around his tongue.
"Because it's not a word, Edward." (y/n) admonished gently, "Then again, unless it was vulgar or forbidden, words weren't really your forte, were they?" She teased, Eddie faking a look of offence, placing a hand over his chest.
Sam giggled at the man's antics, "Uncle Eddie's funny!" She laughed, causing (y/n) to smile, but look steadily at Eddie, who had frozen in his shocked ploy, but now the shocked face was incredibly real.
"Did she just say Uncle Eddie?" He asked cautiously, in case he had misheard her, Steve looked on in worry, hoping for both an explanation and to make sure Eddie didn't bail on the small family, instead the metalhead stepped closer to (y/n), asking a question with his eyes.
(y/n) simply smiled at him, "I wanted to have her named after someone close to me," She tried to explain, Eddie immediately interrupting.
"Her name is Samantha, that's nothing close to my name..." He pondered, (y/n) edged closer, taking his hand gently.
"Her full name is Samantha Elizabeth (l/n), I wanted to name her after your mom..." (y/n) looked off, hoping he wasn't angry at her, "I'm sorry if that wasn't okay, I just- I loved your mom and she meant a lot to you as well, so when Sammy was born, that was the first middle name I thought of when I saw her face-"
(y/n)'s rambling was cut off when Eddie pulled her into a hug, being mindful not to squash baby Jamie in the process, "Thank you." He whispered softly, pressing a teary kiss against (y/n)'s forehead in the middle of the frozen aisle.
After the hug was over, Steve watching smiling from the side, not wanting to disturb the peaceful moment between old friends, (y/n) wiped away her own tears. "Well after all that, I am hungry, so I say we get shopping done. You guys wanna come eat with us, I can make plenty?" She offered sweetly.
Steve could see Eddie getting ready to say yes and interjected, "As lovely as that would be, we have to get back to Robin, she'll be getting hangry..." Steve mentioned, causing the sweet smile on (y/n)'s face to droop slightly. Steve was concerned, was it really that hurtful to have to decline her dinner request? Or was she sad about something else? Like him mentioning a 'her'.
Eddie was still buzzing over everything, his old friend returning with two little cherubs, one named after his own mother, he kept chattering, "Robin won't mind, maybe we could invite her, you'd love her (y/n), Robin's our roommate!" He rambled, dancing around on the linoleum tiles, pulling faces to make the kids laugh, and succeeding.
(y/n) paused slightly, "Robin's your roommate? So not a girlfriend or anything?" She tried to ask as subtly as she thought she could be, it wasn't hugely subtle...
Eddie guffawed, a choked laugh, "She should be so lucky! No she's not into either of us in any way!" Eddie laughed, leading (y/n) to relax her shoulders slightly. Steve looked at (y/n), confused but slightly hopeful, maybe she was interested?
At the relaxation, she smiled again, a bright, happy smile, "Sure thing, the more the merrier!" She told the boys, who smiled in appreciation, wondering how that dinner would go... ____________________________________
Sorry this chapter took so damn long! It's been way too long and for that I cannot apologise enough... My brain has been a bit dried up recently, I'm hoping to get back into my writing slowly! I hope you enjoyed it! Xxx

The One With Power
Tumblr media
Series Masterlist
I still look at you with eyes that want you
Barry paced around the cortex in STAR labs, at normal for a human speed, waiting for any news. Fists clenching and unclenching, he heard older Alexei talking to his younger counterpart, playing a game.
“You own me $200. You landed on my property.”
“Fine! Take my money.” Older Alexei scoffed teasingly before whispering, “I’m losing Monopoly to myself.”
“For god’s sake! Will you stop?!” Barry snapped after hearing the low chuckles and childish giggles coming from their corner. “Why don’t you care?!”
“We do but usually it isn’t this bad. I think a better question is why do you?” Older Alexei glanced at Barry.
When you move, you make my oceans move too
If I hear my name, I will run your way
“Barry!” Caitlin’s voice called out. Barry looked at the doorway in anticipation, both Alexei’s standing up behind him.
“Cait.” Barry said, heart thudding in his chest.
“Snow.” / “Dr Snow.” Young Alexei and future Alexei said respectively.
“She’s awake.” With that, Barry rushed into the Med-Lab, leaving streaks behind him. Young Alexei looked at his older counterpart before the two sprinted after their biological father.
Can we say that we love each other
Can we play like there ain't no other
If I hear my name, I will run your way
“My boys.” Y/N’s hoarse voice called out as she saw her son(s) enter the room after few minutes after Barry. She was laying still on the bed, her E/C eyes sunken. She began coughing into her hand, droplets of blood leaving her mouth completely unknown to the rest.
“Y/N.” Barry whispered, cradling her free hand and moving his other hand to smooth her hair.
“Oi! Hands off.” Older Alexei warned, as he caught sight of Barry next to his mother.
“Mama!” Young Alexei squealed, running up to Y/N and holding his arms up. After glancing around the room, Y/N raised her hand ever so slightly, Young Alexei levitating up and onto the bed.
It's my desire that you feed
You know just what I need
You got power, power
You got power over me
Cisco walked past the med-lab, heading towards the Cortex. He paused and backtracked, seeing Barry grasping Y/N’s hand and both versions of Alexei laying on the bed next to her. The younger of the two was asleep on top of his mother and the other was curled around her, even unconsciously making sure he did not touch his past self.
“Please. Please. I can’t lose anyone else. I need you. I’ll always need you...” Cisco heard Barry mutter, eyes widening in shock. Running as fast as he could, he burst into the cortex, breathing heavily.
“Barry...” He gasped out. “Y/N... Losing?”
“Huh?” The group in the cortex asked, bemused. Cisco bend over, hands on his knees and held a finger up.
“Why does Barry think he’s going to lose Y/N?” Cisco finally got out.
“...When we did tests. Blood test on Y/N... We found something.” Caitlin explained, looking around.
“What?” Cisco prompted.
“Y/N’s blood was full of dark matter.” Caitlin continued.
“So... She’s a meta?” Cisco tilted his head slightly.
“Not just that. With the amount of dark matter in her blood, it started to attack her immune system. When Nora tried to help... The dark matter attacked her more vigorously. But with Alexei, both of them, the dark matter slows down drastically.”
I give my all now, can't you see? Why won't you set me free? You got power, power You got power over me Y/N woke to a finger poking her cheek and a low chuckle from her side.
“Hmm..” She quietly groaned, peeling her eyes open. Directly above her face was the smiling face of three-year old Alexei and as she turned her head, the face of her grown-up Alexei. “Morning.”
“Good Morning, mum.”/ “Morning, Mama.” Her boys chorused.
”So what’s on the agenda today?”
”Nothing Mum. You’re staying here.” Older Alexei stated, looking at Y/N dead in the eye.
”What?”
”Mum. It’s getting worse. Especially with them...” Older Alexei snarled.
”Who?” Y/N asked, bemused.
”Iris and Nora. Every time they come near you... You start seizing and... I can’t lose you. Please.”  Alexei begged, tears building in his eyes. Y/N’s heart clenched at the sound.
I was lost until I found me in you I saw a side of me that I was scared to But now I hear my name and I'm running your way
“Allen.” A voice called out. “Allen!”
“Argh!” Barry jolted awake in his seat, Captain Singh standing before him. “Sir!”
“Back to work.” Captain Singh stated, turning to walk away before pausing at the door. “You okay, Allen?”
“Can I ask you a question, sir?” Barry asked, rubbing a hand over his face.
“You just did but go on.” Captain Singh replied, stepping back inside.
“If your partner didn’t say anything to you about something important... someone important and you found out. Would you be mad?”
“Sure. I’d be angry for a bit but it really depends on what it was.” Captain Singh nodded.
“A kid.” Barry stated simply.
“A kid? Yours?” Captain Singh repeated dumbfounded.
“I have a kid that I didn’t know about because Iris apparently deemed it unimportant.” Barry replied.
“How do you know that?”
“There were letters and I saw her burn them saying they were ’unimportant’.” Barry retorted. “But the thing is I... I think I like someone else.”
“Barry. You’ve been in love with Iris for years. What do you mean you think you like someone else?”
“... I don’t know.”
All I feel as I get closer to you Is the desire to move like you do So now I hear my name and I'm running your way ”Mr Allen.” A feminine voice called out, “Mr Allen?” ”Yes?” Barry snapped back into reality.
”Luckily, all the emails from the sender were backed-up and I can find them but anything too old is most likely gone.”
”That’s fine. I only need 1. The most recent?” Barry explained, the tapping of a keyboard was his reply.
“Ah here. Would you like to read it now or...?” The woman asked, trailing off.
“Could I?” Barry asked, reaching out. The woman nodded and got out of her seat, allowing Barry to sit down.

Hey, Barry. It’s been a while. You never seem to reply to my letters, texts or emails but this is going to be the last.
Alexei is now walking and talking. He is amazing... a lot like you actually. He may look like me but he sure has your personality.
I’ve attached a video of him and some photos so you can at least see them if you don’t want meet or see him.

”Where are you going, Dad?” Jesse asked her dad, watching him pack a bag.
”Earth-1. They need my help, Jesse.” Harry explained, not stopping.
”But we just got back.” Jesse complained. Harry sighed and turned to look at Jesse.
“It’s about Y/N and Alexei.”
“What?” Jesse froze. “What happened?”
“That’s what we’re going to find out.”

“Iris. What is this?” Barry asked walking into his shared bedroom, holding an article in his hand.
“Barry. It’s not what it looks like.” Iris’s eyes widened as she stood up hastily.
“Are you... writing an article about my identity? My secret identity? And everyone else’s weaknesses?” Barry accused.
“Barry...” Iris said, walking towards her husband.
“No, Iris. Don’t ‘Barry’ me!” Barry snapped. “Is it or isn’t it?!”
“Fine. It is but no-one was going to see it!” Iris explained, holding her hands up in surrender.
“How could you possibly know that?!” Barry yelled.
“Because I have the only copy! Right here...” Iris explained, before trailing off as she patted herself. “Wait.”
Iris began searching around the room frantically, opening drawers and moving furniture. After 10 minutes of frantic searching and Barry’s accusing eyes on her, Iris slumped to the ground and stuttered.
“It’s... It’s not here.”
All you did was confuse me You're no longer what I need Touch me slow, feel my heart bleed I'm ready now, I'm ready now
“Mama. Where we going?” Young Alexei asked as he watched his mother stand you and pick him up.
“To find your father.” Came the simple reply.
