body shaped like soft serve 🍦🤤
I'm so grateful to be able to accept and enjoy the contours of my own body. Dismantling and healing from self-hatred and body dysmorphia has taken me a long, loooong time, but baby I'm here showing up for myself every day!!!
The bad body image days still exist - but I can move through those feelings instead of being dragged down by them. A few bad days will never erase my progress 🫶🏼
Fighting to accept my body, heal my eating disorders, and rewrite the toxic narratives I was taught about self-worth, beauty, and body size has been a hard but extremely worthwhile journey. Honestly it's saved my life.
You CAN change your internal narrative and rewrite your own story with love and acceptance for yourself, and I hope that you do 💗 we deserve love and tenderness from ourselves most of all!!

Unmasking the Lure of Perfection
Society's Seductive Trap
In our world today, there's a relentless pursuit of perfection, heavily influenced by society's rigid standards. It's a world where women often resort to plastic surgery and makeup, not merely as expressions of personal style, but as a way to conform to societal expectations of beauty. They are driven by a deep-seated belief that these enhancements will make them more appealing, or perhaps correct perceived inadequacies instilled by societal norms.
Men are not immune to this phenomenon. The pursuit of wealth and material possessions often stems from the same root - a desire to be more appealing, to fit into a societal hierarchy that equates success with monetary wealth and luxurious belongings. This pursuit is not just about personal satisfaction but about gaining access to circles and opportunities otherwise out of reach.
But let's pause and ponder - who sets these standards? Why do these hierarchical systems exist at all? It's a clever strategy, really. When society convinces individuals that they need certain things to be accepted or successful, it becomes all too easy to manipulate their desires and actions. This pursuit of societal approval has turned into a lucrative commodity for those in control, and they spare no effort in maintaining this seductive, almost hypnotic hold over people.
We're living in a world ensnared by these illusions of perfection, trapped in a cycle that benefits a select few while the rest strive to fit into a mold that might not even align with their true selves. It's high time we question these norms and break free from this seductive trap. Let's redefine beauty and success on our own terms. After all, true freedom lies in living authentically, not in chasing shadows of societal approval.

🌓 Embracing the Duality Within: Finding Balance 🌓
Tumblr media
In the intricate tapestry of our minds, a profound dance of duality unfolds. Much like the timeless concept of Yin and Yang, our inner world is a blend of light and shadow, good and evil. It's essential to recognize that these dualities are interconnected, each influencing the other.
🌞 The 'yang' represents our brighter aspects, including love, joy, and kindness.
🌚 The 'yin' symbolizes our darker facets, such as fear, doubt, and imperfection. Just as the sun and moon depend on one another, so do our contrasting qualities.
Acknowledging and accepting our 'yin' side doesn't make us malevolent; it makes us complete. Our shadows teach us valuable lessons and lead to personal growth and self-awareness.
🌗 To achieve inner harmony, we must venture into the depths of our consciousness, confronting our fears and embracing our imperfections. It's through this acceptance that we find transformation and enlightenment.
Celebrate the beautiful yin and yang within you, for in their embrace, you discover your true self. To be in perfect harmony, the yin and yang must find balance in each of our individual chakras. Want to know if your chakras are perfectly healthy and balanced? Click HERE for a free energy check.

🌷🌼🌸🌺💖✨🌈As an agender individual who sees themselves as encompassing all genders and no gender at the same time, my journey with faith has been deeply intertwined with my identity. Raised in the Roman Catholic faith, I struggled with religious trauma and guilt for many years for being who I am. However, through self-love and the support of Unitarian Universalism, I have started to find peace.
This Easter and Trans Day of Visibility, I reflect on my journey and the transformative power of faith and self-acceptance. Unitarian Universalism has not only helped me become a kinder and more compassionate person but has also inspired me to continue fighting for transgender rights.
Let us use this time to look out for each other, speaking only in kindness. 🕊️🌟🌿🌻🦋🌞🌟

Embracing Authenticity: The Transformative Power of "I Am Who I Am"
Bashar's Strongest Affirmation for Transformation: "I Am Who I Am, and That Is Enough"In the realm of personal development and spiritual growth, affirmations serve as powerful tools to shift one's mindset and catalyze transformation. Among the plethora of affirmations circulating in the self-help community, Bashar's assertion, "I am who I am, and that is enough," stands out as a profound statement that encapsulates a fundamental truth about self-acceptance and empowerment.
Bashar, a channeled extraterrestrial entity, delivers teachings through Darryl Anka, offering insights into consciousness, reality creation, and personal transformation. While the source of these teachings may be unconventional for some, the essence of Bashar's messages often resonates deeply with seekers on the path of self-discovery.
At its core, "I am who I am, and that is enough," embodies the principle of radical self-acceptance. It encourages individuals to embrace their authentic selves, free from the constraints of societal expectations, self-imposed limitations, or the need for external validation. In a world that often pressures us to conform to certain standards of success, beauty, or behavior, this affirmation serves as a reminder that our intrinsic worth is not contingent upon meeting external criteria.
To fully appreciate the transformative power of this affirmation, it's essential to unpack its various layers of meaning and explore how it can impact different aspects of one's life:
1. Embracing Authenticity: At its most basic level, "I am who I am" encourages individuals to embrace their true selves—flaws, quirks, and all. It invites us to acknowledge and honor our unique identities, rather than trying to fit into molds dictated by society or comparison with others. By accepting ourselves as we are, we cultivate a sense of authenticity that forms the foundation for genuine self-expression and fulfillment.
2. Liberation from Comparison: In a world fueled by social media and constant comparison, it's easy to fall into the trap of measuring our worth against the highlight reels of others. However, when we internalize the affirmation, "I am who I am," we free ourselves from the need to compete or compare. We recognize that each individual's journey is inherently different, and our worth lies in embracing our own path and experiences.
3. Cultivating Self-Compassion: Self-compassion is the practice of treating ourselves with kindness and understanding, especially in moments of difficulty or failure. By affirming, "I am who I am, and that is enough," we extend compassion to ourselves, recognizing that we are worthy of love and acceptance regardless of our perceived shortcomings or past mistakes. This shift in perspective fosters resilience and enables us to navigate life's challenges with greater ease.
4. Empowerment and Self-Esteem: When we internalize the belief that our inherent worthiness is not contingent upon external achievements or validation, we reclaim our power and bolster our self-esteem. "I am who I am" reminds us that we are inherently valuable simply by virtue of existing, empowering us to pursue our goals and dreams with confidence and conviction.
5. Alignment with Authentic Desires: By accepting ourselves unconditionally, we create space to align with our authentic desires and values. Rather than seeking validation or approval from others, we learn to trust our intuition and pursue paths that resonate with our true selves. This alignment fosters a sense of fulfillment and purpose, as we live in harmony with our deepest aspirations.
In conclusion, Bashar's affirmation, "I am who I am, and that is enough," encapsulates a profound truth about the journey of self-discovery and personal transformation. By embracing radical self-acceptance and cultivating a deep sense of authenticity, individuals can liberate themselves from the shackles of comparison, self-doubt, and external validation. This affirmation serves as a guiding light, illuminating the path toward empowerment, self-compassion, and alignment with one's true essence. As we integrate this principle into our lives, we unlock the transformative power of embracing our authentic selves and embracing the fullness of who we are.

Realness Revealed
As a young, introverted homebody, I'm pretty active on social media, where I find comfort in all sorts of interesting content. I often watch like 3-5 vids of these super talented influencers, straight outta a fashion mag, which sometimes makes me feel like I'm living in a different universe from them. But then I stumble upon videos of regular folks, just like you and me, showing their unfiltered daily lives: a girl doing a makeup tutorial showing off her unshaved armpits, a dude living in a modest setup but still rocking his passion for styling with what he's got, or even a girl going solo for activities like picnics or camping. Those vids seem to be a subtle reminder of a reality we often dodge, hinting that real life, imperfect as it is, can still be beautiful.
In a way, those videos made me realize the beauty around us and encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone. I mean, I used to never dare to sit alone at a restaurant or café, always opting for takeout, but now I allow myself a good half hour or two at a café, just soaking in the vibe with my sketchbook by my side.

Without self-acceptance, any tough thing we come across would quickly stall or end our journey or have us running back to known territory. But when we understand that we are bound to come across difficult things and come prepared to meet ourselves with self-acceptance, we are more likely to embrace the hard parts of our conditioning and continue delving deeper into our emotional history. — Yung Pueblo, from the book Lighter #yungPueblo #selfAcceptance #lighter https://www.instagram.com/p/CjyZnoGOVkg/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Tips for falling in love with yourself
1. Show yourself some kindness and compassion – This can be hard at first, but it’s so important to be kind to yourself. Don’t forget that mistakes are part of life and they don’t define you. Treat yourself like you would a best friend or someone you care about deeply.
2. Practice positive self-talk – Try replacing negative thoughts with positive affirmations. Celebrate your successes and acknowledge your progress, no matter how small. Remind yourself of all the good things about you and that you are worth loving.
3. Focus on what makes you happy – Find something that brings you joy and invest time in it every day. This could be anything from reading to writing, drawing, playing sports, cooking, etc. Doing something enjoyable on a regular basis will help build your self-confidence and allow you to enjoy the present moment.
4. Take time for yourself – We often forget to slow down and just be with ourselves. Find a few minutes each day to check in with your emotions, thoughts, and feelings. When life gets too overwhelming, take some time off and unplug from your devices and social media. Taking a break will help clear your mind and allow you to appreciate life more.
5. Make yourself a priority – Give yourself the love, attention, and care that you deserve. Find activities that make you feel happy and fulfilled and make them a priority in your life. Invest in yourself and your well-being by focusing on developing yourself as a person.
6. Set boundaries – Learn to say “no” when something doesn’t make you feel comfortable or happy. Don’t be afraid to express yourself authentically and make sure to listen to your needs and feelings before making any decisions. It’s ok to take some time alone if that’s what you need.
7. Get rid of toxic people and habits – Evaluate the relationships in your life and make sure they are healthy and beneficial to you. It’s also important to let go of any negative or toxic habits that are preventing you from loving yourself.
Loving yourself is an ongoing process and it takes time, effort, and practice to cultivate self-love and acceptance. But by following these tips, you can start falling in love with yourself today!
