Reminder that if you identify as/ dress IN ANY alternate fashion, not just the darker ones but the brighter and pastel ones too, you CANNOT be a bigot. Alternative fashion and its communities are BUILT on inclusiveness and breaking norms. You’re not alt if you’re queerphobic, racist, sexist, ablelist etc. you’re just a bigot in clothes and a community you aren’t welcome in. You’re infiltrating safe spaces.

Alternative fashion of ANY kind, regardless of how gothic or pastel it may be, is ALWAYS meant to be inclusive. If you’re not, get out.

Patching up the elbow of a shirt I'm pretty sure I got for free because a friend was getting rid of it. Either that or I got it cheap second-hand. Either way, I'm having fun putting time into a shirt thats supposed be a dinky undershirt. Might as well give it character while I'm doing it!

This embroidery floss is also second-hand! I got a bag of a bunch of floss for $2 that would've cost me at least $40 if I bought it all new. And the shirt was originally a donation at work I was going to patch up but it was too far gone. This is partially a test to see if it will hold as a patch for other mending projects I can do for my clients. I'm trying to help them see creative ways to mend their clothes and bags.

It's not my best stitching, but overall I enjoy it!

When you're running a J-fashion Bring & Buy with your local lolita community but feel more like wearing mori kei on the day... mori lolita it is!!!

Morning temperature was 12°C, so I wore nylon tights, a knee sock for my bad left knee, a white lace cardigan and my newly thrifted pastel green jacket and a golden scarf. Was chilly but okay.

When I left the subway station on my way to the event two goth girls approached me and squealed over my outfit and how adorable and cute I was! They were even fellow fat girls. That was so precious!! Made my day from the start! I got an insane number of compliments that day! So much love!! Thank you everyone! That sure does wonders. Someone on insta commented "you look like a lovely flowery breeze of spring". They have a way with words for sure!

I bought the wrist cuffs at the bring & buy because they matched my outfit so well (and are very beautiful!). Also bought a red bonnet by Angelic Pretty and can't wait to style it with my little Red Riding Hood Cape (I've converted an old school Baby the Stars Shine Bright skirt into that cape). Both have lovely red velvet! A match made in lolita heaven! Couldn't resist the cute pins and lovely flower resin charms either. But hey, I have new work and more money to spend! So I'll support my local artists!! As you should.
