I wanted to capture the very last moments of colour and warmth of the year. Follow my mother and I around.
I really wish I had my red or mint shoes with me, but both are in boxes, still stuck in Japan waiting for a ship to bring them to me.
Outfit rundown Dress: Juliette et Justine Jacket : vintage Brooches + earrings: from various artists Beret, scarf, belt, bag, shoes: thrifted

In October, I met with bestie Fanny, whom I hadn't seen in years. The Fanny² were finally back together. We were both wearing orange without planning it in advance (see last picture).
We met on my old cégep campus, and I got to revisit a place I had not seen since 2007, the year I graduated. It was a strangely cathartic experience since my time there is mainly associated with bad memories.
My outfit (you will start seeing pieces repeat thanks to my current capsule wardrobe) Skirt: vintage Cardigan: second-hand Emily Temple Cute Jacket : second-hand Mary Magdalene Beret: old Lauren Ralph Lauren Shoes, belt and glasses: thrifted Blouse: offbrand Brooches and earrings: a variety of different artists whose social media I do not know (the leaves on the beret were thrifted though) Tights: Heattech by Uniqlo

Those are actually the very first pictures I took after I arrived in Québec in October. It had been a long time since my mom had taken pictures of me, so she started strong and took around 200 pictures. It was hard to select and edit only 10 (for Insta, here the limit is 9), so I procrastinated it.
Outfit Dress: second-hand favorite Cardigan, beret, vintage wood bus pass, scarf, brooches: thrifted Shoes: old Cobb Hill Mushroom brooch: Peppermint Fox Book bag: old Axes Femme

Now that leaves are all fallen and everything looks naked and dead before the snow, it's time to start posting my October pictures. We had an abnormally warm autumn in Québec, so I have a lot of pictures to share. Let's start with this mustard and burgundy preppy lolita outfit. (Photos by my mom, edited by me)

Country boy in Saitama
The last day trip I did in Japan was a motorcycle/hike trip to Sayama Hills in Tokorozawa, Saitama. I really wanted to get away from the noise of the city, so I tried to find a place that's close, but not crowded. People might know it because of its multiple Totoro forests, but I knew it because it's close to Seibuen, an amusement park with a retro town I was supposed to go to with my friends, but never managed to.
I know the outfit might not be the most interesting for you, but I still wanted to dress up. It still had to be practical enough for motorcycle and hiking (you'll realise the change to sneakers after the two first photos).
Outfit:Pants are Uniqlo, everything else is thrifted.

In the last week of September, I met with Mia and Madeleine for the last time before leaving. It was still pretty warm outside, so we ate a grilled fish bento in a local parc on Madeleine's antique kilt. We then walked to 好味屋 (Komiya) a very old bakery in Asagaya to buy traditional showa pan (see my Instagram post for those pictures). My wardrobe was already all packed, except for what I would bring with me in my luggages (all winter stuff), so I had very few summer things to wear. Still, we all matched without trying.
Almost everything we are wearing is vintage and thrifted.

Back in September, Mia came home to finally twin our Amour d'amants, after over 5 years of talking about it (mainly because I was going to sell mine). It was definitely too hot and rainy for that outfit, so we changed immediately after to comfy dresses to drink wine and have late lunch (that I call lupper). Skirt: Juliette et Justine My outfit Belt/corset (no real boning): second-hand Sheglit Blouse: second-hand Axes Femme Hat: second-hand Gloves: vintage Shoes: Yosuke Jewellery: mainly vintage

Some late August Tachikawa shenanigans with Mia
In late August, the Kobe earl tea brand Catherine Tea had a soft cream fair in Tachikawa, and I used that as an excuse to go try some kissas on my list, but we kept being turned away (too full or just closed), so we ended up going to an old sobaya and a semi-old kissa that only had healthy drinks left on their menu.
Skirt: vintage Top: offbrand (??) Hat: thrifted Cardigan : second-hand Emily Temple Cute Ancre brooch: vintage Crochet hat brooch on hat: I can't remember the artist Shoes: Hush puppies Bag: second-hand Métamorphose temps de fille

Akasaka palace (迎賓館赤坂離宮) with Madeleine (interior photos are not allowed), followed by kissa Pershawar in 80s bubble icon Hotel New Otani, then houjicha afternoon tea at 1899 (see extra pictures on my Instagram post).
Please excuse me while I try to go through my summer backlog (but let's be honest, it was still summer weather today at 29°C). This year has been my year of sacrilegious non-blouse lolita in summer, so enjoy another one with this iconic Mary Magdalene dress.
Dress: second-hand Mary Magdalene Hat, bag, scarf and cameo: vintage Shoes: Hotter Shoes Parasol: Alice and the Pirates

I rarely have pictures of me in front or inside kissaten because I usually visit them alone, but this time, I had Madeleine with me, and she did her best to take pictures with my DSLR despite the rain and extreme humidity. Je t'aime, ma guedaille préférée
