HAPPY VEGAN DAY!

Veganism isn't just a diet, it's a ethical position. We acknowledge animal suffering is just as real as human suffering. Thus, we try our best to avoid it. We understand, for example, that some scientifcic research requires animal testing, while others don't. We also understand that, although many crops impact the fauna much less than cattle, agriculture has to be sustainable. Veganism without sustainability and class conscience is just a diet. Are there ethical ways to get eggs? Ethical ways to use animals for transportation and work? What about surviving in extreme situations? We don't have all the answers. Don't expect us to. I also know I won't change anyone's mind about going vegan. So I don't judge. In fact, I know most people would be unable to stab a pig to eat it if I asked them too. So you're already much closer to veganism than you think. What vegan recipes would you like to see in a furry vegan cookbook? Let me know in the comments!

Maria can’t think of a single bad thing she’s ever done. I would offer my help, but I’ll be busy laughing. It feels like the writers are really working hard to make us believe we don’t know what we know and didn’t see what we saw. Is that gaslighting? Does this show attempt to gaslight its viewers? Also, Maria’s powers were literally of negative help last season, so why are they so reliant upon them now? And, if I keep your brain from killing you, I am not going to feel guilty about you losing some power you inherited because the government experimented on your great grandmother.

I feel like Deep Sky might need to invest in better safety and security protocols. Maybe some GPS for employee vehicles. Also, how do the new aliens know about Deep Sky? 1. I’m smart, I don’t like to talk about it freely, but I really think I am. I have the best grades in my class, four scientifc research projects I’ve done and right now I’m finishing my graduation while doing my Masters, which is an opportunity only 5 people per year get the chance to do in the university. So I’m very proud of myself.

2. I’m hella tall and I love it! I’m 6ft tall (1,83cm) and this is something that I used to hate about myself when I was little, always being bullied, being called giant, etc. Right now, I love myself, my body and my height and one of my favorite things is to put high heels on and get even taller! The world from above is much better.

3. I can speak +4 languages, I have no difficulties learning new languages, and I enjoy it a lot. Between those, I speak a bit of brazilian and also american sign language, which is another thing I’m proud of.

4. I’m very caring and sometimes, or most of the times, I put people’s well being in front of my own. I hate seeing people down and I always try my best to put a smile on the face of those who need it.

5. I’m calm and I don’t get into fights a lot, unless it’s really necessary, If there’s any confrontation, I will always try to solve it based on conversation. The only thing that kicks me out of my feet are politics (so I try to avoid speaking about it).

they are embarrassment. They are tacky because they think everything is about sales and equate fashion mags to beer cans and packages of plastic rice. They just can't understand that sometimes it's about Art. Let me explain on personal experience. I have a column in printed magazine and for the organization that publishes that mag it's not the source of income. It's their trademark, a matter of prestige. And they have such a beautiful cover always, people are waiting for the next mag to see the new cover. The organization has the rule to give every author of the article three copies of the mag and I leave one for myself, give one to my Mom and the third one is gifted to one my friends, I always choose different friend so everyone gets a mag from me eventually and you know what? They never throw away the mags after they read them. And not because of my article lol, but because of the cover, because it's a true Art. The magazine became a collector item. That mag is so called "popular scientific" edition. Now lets talk about strictly scientifc mags. I literally need to publish articles in these mags because idk how it works in other countries, but in Ukraine you need to have a certain rating as researcher or your research institution needs a certain rating and articles published in Web of Science/Scopus mags define that rating too. And apart of digital editions they also have printed ones - in Ukraine there are people that still prefer to go to libraries and work with printed editions while doing research. Many of Ukrainian scientists don't retire even at the age of 70 and it's difficult to change old habits. Actually I love to read printed literature more than digital one too. Printed industry is not dying. It was just rebranded. From smth wide-spread that brings income it became smth elitist and prestigious. For a narrow circle of people from different fields. For people that matter. So idk what to tell shrimps in this case. They need to start manifesting maybe. Also in the west on actor's IMDB page there is a section "Publicity Listings" where important interviews and mag covers are mentioned. And c-ent is even more elitist than Hollywood, so............. Thanks for the post about soy! Would this effect men/trans men any differently, is it something we should eat less of or not worry about ? By the sounds of it, it sounds healthy as long as youre not eating it every day, like any food?

Hmmm, tbh I am not a doctor and as far as I know, there is no scientifc research on this.  Processed soy isnt the best but it doesnt have the same effects of as unprocessed soy. I wouldn’t over do it but having it like 3 times a week seems like it should be fine.  If you are worried, then I would eat more foods that lower estrogen and/or increase testosterone (like broccoli)

The Fluvial Metropolis initiative was created as a joint University of São Paulo (USP)/Princeton University Strategic Partnership for Teaching and Research, to conduct a research program on the future of water infrastructure and its potential effects on urban space and form.

The initial object of study was a recent project in São Paulo that proposed a far-reaching intervention in South America’s largest metropolis, the Hidroanel, a 170-kilometer-long Waterway Ring that sought to radically re-organize the city’s growth. The research network includes scholars from various disciplines at Princeton and USP, who refecit on the project’s potentials and precedents, including the nineteenth-century canal systems in the United States.

In the process, the initiative seeks to add historical and socio-cultural dimensions to the scientifc, technological, and policy aspects raised by the SãoPaulo’s Waterway Ring project. Thus, the network intends to bridge the environmental sciences, the social sciences, architecture, the arts, and the humanities in innovative ways.
