AU cozy glow from a fic im writing... but also just, self indulgent take on cozy, and evidence that i can never just doodle i have to spend multiple hours on one drawing orz

in the fic, she drops the cozy and starts going by glow around the age of 17, as she grows out of the whole overly sweet and schmaltzy thing and stops putting all her energy into her facade that she uses to manipulate people.

also worth noting that this fic takes place in the human realm in EQG, so this is me ponifying a human character who is an AU version of a pony.

its a whole thing! also shes a unicorn bc its like, an ironic thematic thing.

this cozy glow grew out of her shitty behaviour before she lost the opportunity to do so, and never had the same chances to fuck over her own life that the pony cozy glow did, because she didnt really have access to any sort of power equivalent to the magic that pony cozy did.

so she grew older and grew out of the manipulation thing and learned to focus on healthier needs and wants and who she actually wanted to be, instead of who was useful for her to be.

so if she went to equestria, she'd be a unicorn with access to magic, to play off how pony cozy's lack of magic drove her to steal it, or something.

theres other stuff but like. spoilers, for a fic i havent finished or posted anywhere public.

also i tried out some stylistic things in this and i had a fun time so yay

Schmaltzy Tuelan hours. Or Noladay, or Nolay if you prefer. Those roll off the tongue better.

I headcanon Nolan as pan-aro. Tuesday is allo and likes being affectionate. Nolan is romance-positive, which for him means he’s able to do romantic gestures outside of hugging and hand-holding with a lot enough mental preparation. Tuesday’s willing to wait so long as Nolan is willing to follow through. One of the compromises is a “kiss card.” After 10 or 20 dates, Tuesday gets to cash it in! She doesn’t usually make it to 20, which Nolan actually prefers. Yes, they are very silly together.

The days often were boring lately for Rena. At least the ones which he didn't spend with concerts...or with Mah. But he needed his space, and maybe it did Rena good as well. However this didn't mean he wasn't with the other one in his mind almost constantly.

Doodling on his pad with some colorful markers - hearts and stars and little bats - he came to the conclusion that he wanted to express his feelings in a more...useful way. Mah probably would furrow his brows when Rena presented him a picture that looked like the drawing of a kid...well, he wasn't much better with his words probably either...

Plucking the sheet of paper from the pad he looked at a new, white one. How should he begin? Maybe with the truth.

Dear Mah (he drew a devil emoji behind it),

I'm not some schmaltzy guy actually 'cause I'm a badass vamp as ya know, but my tummy's a butterfly home thanks to ya so guess that's schmaltzy already?! Yeah, anyway, guess I should tell ya 'bout our first night. How it had been for me.

Dunno, guess it begun with ya kissin' my thigh. Didn't expect this to happen 'cause that's so fuckin' affectionate. Besides of that, ya had been so understandin' 'bout what bothered me 'n' swiped away my insecurities. Had been possessed already by ya lil' kisses! Damn...I felt so beautiful 'n' precious! I didn't want ya to stop anymore!

'n' then, after the first round, when ya had been afraid I could tell ya I've fallen for ya...it had already happened, man. But I kept it to myself...while knowin' I'd do my best to make ya mine anyway. 'Cause I'm fightin' for my dreams, I told ya! 'n' I kept this promise. Even if I'm ya personal headache in the shape of some lanky guy! Ya my devil now!

Well, he didn't know if it was a good letter, but it definitely was a Rena-letter. So he drew some hearts on the sheet and then looked for an envelope to put it in. Next time he was at Mah's he would put it onto the table for him to find and read in silence. He knew Mah would prefer to be alone with it.

And thus ends another story arc in this comic. I'm taking a bit of a break, as I will be going to Dragon*Con next week and will be too busy to doodle. During that time I'll plan out the approach to the next arc of the comic, if I have both time and free brain cells, which I do not guarantee!

I barely have time to draw anymore and I HATE IT

Some weeks ago a classmate of mine got me back into Terraria, and man, the difference between how I used to play it vs how I play it now is like night and day; i was a wuss who avoided fighting monsters like the plague, didn't explore or anything and basically abused the item generator thing my brother downloaded so i could look pretty and mess around with items i didn't earn lol

now I'm properly playing it and it's pretty fun. I also realized multiplayer games are fun with the right people, these guys helped me a lot

I love my house, I'm actually mining and fighting mobs - still hate Blood Moon tho, the minute it starts I RUSH to block off the doors lmao. I still prefer to stay in the house but I'm playing at my own pace and it's great

Magical Girl Spider Lily, aka my spiderverse oc! A magical spider creature bites her to lend her its powers and by saying a certain phrase(yet to be decided), she turns into Spider Lily.

...she has existed for a while after Into the Spiderverse and I still can't totally decide on her magical girl form

plus I might just ditch the wand because the initial idea was that she uses it to shoot webs but uhhhmsiugh it just...seems so tedious and annoying, yknow? So I'm thinking she just shoots webs organically from her hands in this form

She only has a few spider abilities in her civilian form (ie. the Spider Sense, enhanced sight and hearing) but basically 'unlocks' all of them in her magical girl form. Maybe even a special ability to grow spider legs out of her back or tiny itty bitty spiders who can spy for her

I'm drawing another one of these bc a friend suggested the gray bits to be darker, plus I redesigned the legs, so watch out for that. I wanna share some lore too ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶
