L'il bro trying to humor Big bro during his community service sentence (or whatever you wanna call it). Someone's cranky. But his tea water is still heating so he can't relax anyway :T
"I found these shiny shorts in the 'discontinued' pile in the shed. I don't see why, they definitely brighten MY day! Hahahe... Lou don't I look ridiculous-"
These were part of a request thing I did on Instagram years ago. It all flooded back to me that I didn't save the files properly at the time so these are downloaded off my page lol Huh... I guess that's why they never made their way here.
But okay lemme also ramble a little about my take on doll ecology since I may not do it properly anytime soon like I intended! In this ramble, The Eternal Thread!
*ahem*
So Lou was the very first doll to be created for Perfect Doll Co., without him the dolls made in the particular factory wouldn't have their sentience. Because while not intentional, he was sewn together with The Eternal Thread: a very unusual, invisible, and ancient organism that's existed as long as the universe has; an extraterrestrial line of elements that has collected enough variety to create a life form all its own if used effectively. The Eternal Thread does not have a beginning or end as it stretches across the vast universe undisturbed, until one day crossing paths with the planet Earth, tangled up on a human who had a hand at crafting and was sewing Lou together one day. Stitch by stitch this doll came together, and then came to life as The Eternal Thread pulsed through him upon completion. Eventually it was discovered this same thread could be sewn through other dolls to bring life to them as well- although less intricately compared to Lou. That would just take too much time to do the same thing, and there's a factory to run! With that being said, the dolls could very quickly become lifeless if The Eternal Thread is plucked off their stitching. In Lou's case, he would have to be taken completely apart, which isn't easy if only himself or an anomaly human can touch it.
Aah! Unattractively loud machine noise! A dog's number one adversary!!
-Not so fast!
-Yeah, not SO fast *hop!*
-Do you or do you not feel bonita?
-... I feel bonita.
You LOOK bonita!
Thinking on what made it click for me with this movie, it was always the simple scene of Mandy chasing Uglydog with the hairdryer. The interaction... the way they one-up each other so comfortably despite only knowing each other for a day... it just pulled out my heart! It made me love everything that all the characters and their universe could show me, only to find out that talk of a second movie and TV show fell to the wayside💔 And so my mission to draw all my thoughts for this silly movie began! I'm only at 25% in completing said mission, ouch. But I don't think anyone minds that :9 I'm drawing fanart for the long-run!
long story short, my Before Story project isn't progressing too well because drawing adult humans is still a learning curve. I am still trying though... But in the likely chance this doesn't get finished by February I'm going to post regularly again and that project will just get posted when I'm done 🤪
Why February? Because I've wanted to draw a dragon lunar new year pic ever since entering the fandom years ago, nothing will keep me from it!!
Y'all get the "correct text" version versus Instagram haha
Same sentiment as Instagram though; I hope to draw more next year to make up for my disappointment in output this year. And also you'll see the art from these last three months... next year ✌
Not the most pleasant of WIPs, but this "Before Story" project is still why I haven't posted in months. Not like the tag is more dormant than usual without me, that's nice to see.
This is from my Instagram Stories so that's why you see that music-less sticker lol
