hello!!! sfd is currently at 12k, and tbh it's been very fun to write (so i kind of have a soft spot for All Of It) but my favorite so far has to be this lil moment:

“You— You used to be scared of swimming?”
“Yup. Terrified,” he nods. “You want to know what I thought would happen if I went into the deep end?”
“What?”
“I thought I’d sink like a stone, and that no one would be able to get to me before it was too late. The thought of it was so awful that I’d start freaking out whenever anyone even mentioned swimming. I psyched myself out of it for an entire summer.”
The image of little kid Jeno being afraid of swimming is, admittedly, a little funny now that he’s like this: Mr. Big Swimmer Guy, teaching classes, that same kid but who now voluntarily does things like this for fun. This is such an appalling concept that you don’t notice when Jeno loosens his grip on you a little, when your feet stop trying as hard to find footing.
“Then what,” you ask, teasing, “You put your foot in the water once and the fear evaporated? You dove off into the deep end and started doing tricks?”
Jeno pouts. “No. You’re lucky I can’t splash you. I didn’t start doing tricks— Before I got better at being in the water by myself, my sister helped me get out of my own head by doing this.”
“This?” you echo.
He only smiles. You’re not quite sure why, until you realize what you’ve been doing for the last few minutes. He’s… He’s pulling you around. Your feet aren’t on the ground. They’re floating off behind you, drifting, and the only thing keeping you above the water is Jeno tugging you along—
—And then you make the mistake of looking down, and everything immediately goes wrong.

Dog Hybrid Yunho x Reader

note: yes he gives off golden retriever energy but after much convincing by mimi, samoyed fits him as well. also, trying to get the gears working again and this is quite late but anon i hope you like how this turns out. Other hybrids stories can be found here. Enjoy the read!
You watched as Yunho parked his car in one of the parking spaces and jogged over to where it was with a big grin plastered on your face. You had a list of ideas with you and can’t wait to share it with him. This would be your third date considering how the previous ones were mostly at his or your place to which you didn’t want to count them as an official one.
Everything was planned out and the only thing you had to do was share it with him and enjoy the rest of the date together. You were so immersed in your thoughts that the car door wouldn't budge was what got you back to reality. Yunho was out of the car as well and smiled at you happily. “I was thinking we could walk around town today. Is that okay with you?” That was definitely not what you had in mind. He raised both his brows, waiting for you to say something.
“Uh sure, we can walk.”
“Cool!”
Both of you walked hand in hand as he excitedly looked around the blocks of buildings. Your place was in the heart of the city and it was understandable that he wanted to walk but the negative thoughts started to bubble inside your head. What if my outfit smelled like smoke? Or it suddenly rains?! Yunho is sensitive to scent, he might not want to go on another date anymore…
You clearly weren’t paying attention but when your boyfriend tugged on your hand, the thoughts vanished in an instant. Eyes locked on his eager ones and you felt bad for having such thoughts earlier. “You must be hungry, do you mind if I bring you to one of my favourite restaurants?”
You shook your head and watched as he beamed at your approval. The choker - necklace as you prefer to call it, flashed a bright yellow as if mimicking Yunho’s current emotion. The streets were busy like any Saturday and you wondered if he liked it this way then your usual indoor dates. He seemed in his element and unknowingly your lips curled upwards at the sight. “We’re here!”
Paws n Pies caught your line of sight before he excitedly pulled you in a fairly crowded eatery. Thankfully there was a seat for the both of you and once seated, you started to read out the menu. Yunho recommended a few of his favourite dishes which were literally a whole page and you had a difficult time as everything looked delectable.
You were looking around and noticed the servers had cat ears on their heads and thought it was cute, fitting for the concept until Yunho told you those were their real ears. He chuckled at the way your eyes bulged out and nodded in advance before you could ask him again if they were indeed real.
“It looks like those cat cafes right? But everyone who works here are cat hybrids except for the kitchen staff.” You didn’t want to make it obvious but couldn’t help stare at their ears and almost gasped when you caught them twitching.
“Baby, is it that surprising?”
“I mean, I’ve never seen you do that before.”
You felt so embarrassed for some reason but the sight of so many hybrids in one area really was new to you. “And I didn’t know it was possible to bring out a part of your hybrid form like that.” Right then your orders came and again you tried not to look at the waiter’s pair of ears but he noticed and smiled back at you. “It’s okay, I’m used to it.”
The laugh coming from the opposite side of the table made you want to hide even more. Yunho caught you frowning at him and leaned over to pat your head. “It's alright, the more you know right? See, I can do it too.” You gasped when his fluffy ears appeared on his head all of a sudden. Seeing how you brightened up as you munched away, Yunho felt relieved that only then he finally started to eat.
You completely forgot about the plan that you had come up days before the date and instead followed along with your boyfriend. He seemed to know a lot of hidden spots that held so many interesting shops and photo worthy walls and alleys that you didn’t even know existed. Stopping by various shops around the area, you had no idea how you ended up in an arcade, shooting down zombies with Yunho.
Both of you were so immersed in the game that passersby got shocked when you squealed in happiness all the while Yunho was pointing the gun up in the air as if he really won a real match. The second level started and it got harder to keep up but everything turned so intense that you wanted to continue on. “Yun, I'm going to get more tokens. Be right back”
“But your character is still alive!” He watched as you jogged over to the counter and something else caught his eyes at that moment. He walked over to the paper that fell from your pocket, completely abandoning the ongoing game. His brows furrowed upon reading what was written on it.
The way Yunho was acting once you were home didn’t go unnoticed by you. He went to the bathroom and came back cleaning up after your dinner. There was no misunderstanding at all.
In fact, you had to admit it was the best date you ever had. But after sharing a strawberry parfait and heading back home, he was quiet. You had the chance to catch a glimpse of his collar and it was a light hue of blue mixed with the neutral colour, white. You started to wonder what he felt.
He came back after cleaning everything up and sat at the other end of the couch which weirded you out. Yunho’s not the type to even let air get in between your bodies, so him being so far away surprised you. You called him but he didn’t budge and watched the show playing on the television as if it was nothing. “Yun, are you mad at me? Did I do something wrong?”
You moved closer to his side and peaked at his face. It was totally unreadable, he had that calm expression he always wears and the fact he can control his emotions so well upsets you sometimes. He patted your thigh without saying anything back and that definitely didn’t make you feel any better. “You’ve been quiet since we had that parfait.”
The commercials showed up and he had no choice but to confront you. “Do you have anything to tell me?” He calmly asked. You tried to think of anything that you have missed but none seemed to show up in your line of thoughts. You shook your head at him until you saw a folded paper between his fingers. “You had everything planned out, why didn’t you tell me?”
You tried taking the paper away but he kept them back in his pants pocket. “It was just a list.” He frowned at your answer. “You know that you can always talk to me right? I feel so guilty for dragging you around today.”
“No, don’t say that. I really had fun today and seeing you enjoying the date is much more important to me than anything really.” You saw the moment of relief in his eyes and gathered his hands in yours, placing light kisses on each of them. “Also, let me just-”
“B-baby, what are you doing?” he panicked when you leaned over to unclasped his collar and placed it on the coffee table. “We’re home Yun, you don't have to wear it.”
Feeling as if a weight was lifted off, he pulled you on his lap and nuzzled his face in the crook of your neck. The plans you had before didn’t matter anymore and his guilt washed away with your beautiful smile. Nothing matters when you have each other to make up for the shortcomings.
“You know what happens if I don’t wear it right?” You grumbled before pressing your lips on his to shut him up.
“It doesn’t matter. Like I said, we’re home.”

So, I had this random, weird idea that I wanted your input on. Recently, I've been wondering, if Transformers were dogs, what breeds would they be? Personally, I think Skyfire would be one of those big floofy dogs, like a Malamute or a Tibetan Mastiff, or maybe a Samoyed. And Starscream would probably be either a Jack Russel Terrier or a Shiba Inu, because, in my opinion, he just radiates that kind of energy.

As for Skyfire, my mind immediately goes to a Great Pyrenees. They're great in the snow, super calm and cuddly, and huge. Skyfire energy
As for Starscream, hear me out: an Afghan Hound. They're incredibly fast and athletic, and all the ones I've met have been incredibly graceful and just had this really Starscream-y air of pride. Not to mention, they're gorgeous. Definitely a Starscream type of dog

Not really a blurb but I would like to hear your thoughts on this tho – so obv ppl keep saying that jeno got a samoyed smile but doberman body, then if he were a hybrid (sh!t, ive been religiously stalking ur blog for this ever since you announced your hybrid brain rot) which of the two dog breed would he be?
And would it affect his whole behavior? As example, one of the reasons samoyeds were bred originally was to keep the owners warm in the cold northern weathers and Dobermans are known well for being good guard dogs. Idk, the contrast is quite big soo 👀 (Up to u if u want to keep it sfw or not lol)
Samoyed-doberman anon here again ++ just lil personal thoughts that have been circling in my mind++ like the difference would be either oversized knit sweater Samoyed jeno that constantly follows u around (bc they r a breed that thrives on interactions with humans n also other dogs) and smothers you to the point of almost passing out not knowing that he's basically a walking furnace;
Or Doberman jeno that plays a bit too much into the territorial/guard instinct and gets silently jealous (bc he is a taurus man too) after catching whiff of another hybrid on you

Like both personalities you’re giving me are so Jeno and it’s making my head spin. Like yes he’s all cute and cuddly and I’m thinking of when he had white hair. He’s such a companion and he loves to cling and he’s all warm. Just like, aside from his face, he’s giving big samoyed energy and I just want to grab him and cling
But!!! The doberman. Fuck I love dobermans and I can see him definitely being that way as well. Like yes he’s cute and cuddly. But maybe sometimes he gets a little rough around the edges. He’s made it clear on more than one occasion that he does not know his own strength. And I can also see him as being a big cuddle monster one second and then flipping and becoming so territorial and protective the next. And that thing he does with his eyes when he performs,,,, god like him doing that when he sees both other humans and hybrids looking at you because god forbid you go anywhere without him trailing close behind.
And i think I might get in trouble if I keep it sfw so let me also say. Maybe something happens. Maybe another hybrid sniffs at you or someone human hits on you even though Jeno is standing right there. And he just gets silently livid. Just brooding and frowning and scaring the person/hybrid off because big scary dog privilege™
So when you get home he looks clearly relieved, and for a second you chalk it up to him just preferring to be in his territory and his space. But it’s when he jumps on you, ripping your clothes off to drench you in his smell, that you realize no, he’s just happy to have you to himself.
And he’s insatiable, and that strength he’s unaware of is back. And he has you face down on the couch crying out before you can even blink. He’s growling and nipping at your neck. And he’s just overall trying to show you that you belong to each other and to show the same thing to anyone you see ever again.
But of course when it’s all over, it’s a like a switch. He’s big and cuddly and warm again, curling around you and laying on you. Not giving two fucks about how warm his skin is as he’s just happily lapping at your neck. Because JENO!! That’s why

I chose a samoyed because they are actual service dogs and while Huskies and other breeds can be service dogs they are considered harder to train. So I chose a breed that is already in use as a service dog.

Hunter was laying on his bed in the basement of Camila's house. He had decided to remain in the Human Realm for now. Yes, he still visited his friends in the Demon Realm, but well...
Hunter hasn't decided if he actually wants to enroll in Hexside. Yes, he would love to spend the day with his friends and learn, but the school was also filled with bittersweet memories now. He also didn't have any natural magic, while he was learning glyphs from Luz he still felt weak compared to when he had a staff. Not to mention the main reason he wanted to go to Hexside was to play flyer derby which he can no longer do without a palisman.
Eda has offered to take him to the Bat Queen to get a new one or use some of her first-grown palistrum wood to carve his own. It was a nice offer but Hunter couldn't accept it. He couldn't replace Flapjack. Camila had offered him a place to stay so he decided to stay. It was nice. Vee and Luz were often away at school or doing whatever. Camila often had work so it would just be him most days. While that was nice it sometimes wasn't.
"Hey, Hunter! Come here!" Luz called out from the top of the stairs. Hunter looked up from the book he was reading. He got up and walked over to the stairs.
"What?" Hunter asked. He was still at the bottom of the stairs. He loved his adopted sister but she tended to get over-excited over things and Hunter was not in the mood to pretend to be excited about the newest change in the cereal box. Luz pouted.
"Come on. It's a surprise." Luz pouted. Hunter frowned more.
"I don't like surprises," Hunter responded. He crossed his arms. Luz began to bounce up in down in excitement.
"You'll like this one, Mom's been planning it for forever," Luz responded. Hunter knew he wasn't going to be getting out of this. He sighed and began to walk up the stairs.
"If this is another surprise sleepover I am eating all your favorite cereal," Hunter responded. Luz gasped and placed her hand over her heart.
"How could you?" Luz mock demanded. "You know you enjoyed the last one." He had but he was never going to admit it to her.
Hunter walked up the stairs and saw that the house was deserted beside him and Luz. He didn't like this one bit.
"Luz, where's your mom?" Hunter asked.
"Outside," Luz responded. She practically skipped to the front door. Hunter felt cold dread grip his heart. Was he being kicked out? Had he not done enough, had he not been grateful enough? Hunter followed her slowly.
When Hunter saw Camila in the front yard his heart practically stopped.
Beside her was a solid white mass of fur. A loud bark sounded. It was a wolf. Luz grabbed his arm and dragged him forward. Hunter was too shocked to fight it. Camila looked up as she felt them getting closer to her. She gave a warm smile.
"Hunter, I want you to meet someone," Camila said. She made a gesture toward the wolf. Said the wolf turned around and looked at him.
They had a vest on and was wagging their tail. They had a black nose. Their mouth opened allowing Hunter to see their tongue.
"She's a samoyed and she is for you," Camila said. So not a wolf. That was a shame, but she still seemed cool. Luz let go of his hand and began to jump up and down in excitement. "Hold out your hand for her to sniff it."
Hunter did as he was told. The samoyed sniffed him. She then moved forward and pressed her nose against his hand. His first instinct was to move back.
"Aww, she likes you." Luz squealed. The samoyed began to lick his hand. Hunter let out a surprised laugh. It actually felt pretty nice.
"You can pet her," Camila said. Hunter moved his hand towards her coat. He began to pet her feeling her fluffy soft fur. The samoyed barked again and her tail wagged harder. Hunter allowed himself to completely relax and a small smile appeared on his face.
"You love this, don't you?" Luz teased. For once Hunter didn't rise to the bait.
"She's a service dog she's meant to help you with your trauma," Camila said.
"And Momi talked to Principal Bumps so if you decide to go to Hexside you can take her with you." Luz further added. Hunter removed his hand from the dog.
"I don't..." Hunter started. He wanted to protest but was cut off by the samoyed winning. Hunter went back to petting her. This caused her to pant in joy at the attention.
"You know, mijo, it's ok to accept help and she can help you," Camila said.
Hunter paused. He wasn't sure about that. It went against everything he has ever known in his life but then maybe that was for the best. Belos was a liar. Flapjack had forced him to accept their help so perhaps he'll let the two humans, the samoyed, and the basilisk help him for them.
