Happy Birthday, Zoro
Tumblr media
Synopsis: Zoro wasn't much for birthday's until he met you.
Pairing: Roronoa Zoro x Reader
Genre: fluffy, friends to lovers, (Zoro and Doc)
Words: 2.5K
A/N: I had to write something for the birthday boy before the day is over. It is probably the shortest thing I've written in a hot minute, but I hope it is still enjoyable. Much love, Jenn.
Tumblr media
He’d let it slip one night while you’d all been celebrating Nami’s birthday. Of course, she’d asked for fireworks and pretty gifts. She’d also asked to play poker, but that was something you and the rest of the crew weren’t willing to talk about.
There was no way someone won every single time.
Cheating aside, the one thing that Zoro could agree on was the booze. You’d both been sent out to pick it up. Who better than the resident alcoholic on the ship to know what a good brand was?
What you hadn’t expected was for him to basically pull you out of your reading nook in the galley. You could still feel the way his fingers had snaked around to grip the inside of your arm. Two seconds later, he was lifting you up and out of your spot with your book almost fumbling to the floor.
“Zoro-“
“Come on, Doc, you're coming with me.”
“You could’ve asked!” You huffed.
You were well aware that Zoro was still holding onto your arm. You were also well aware that he was much closer than usual making it hard for you to remember that you were mad at him. Big mad because you were just getting to the good part in your book.
“I am asking.”
Gods. He said it like a fact. His face was as smooth as stone and unblinking.
This was your Zoro. Master of having zero tact.
“Asking is with words, you ass.”
“Yeah, I don’t do that.”
“I’ve noticed.”
And with that, he took it as you conceded to go with him into town. In part, it was probably for the best. Zoro’s people skills were nonexistent and you and Sanji frequently had to apologize for him.
While the trip to town was enjoyable, what made it the best was the way Zoro changed around you. It wasn’t an astronomical change. He didn’t talk a whole lot more or say fewer things that reminded you he was an asshole (but he was your asshole so…) or be less broody. What he did was smile more.
They ranged from the small smirks he did when you were talking. Your animated hand movements with every other word as you weave a deep story for him or an excessive explanation on why using chopsticks for hair pins was an ingenious idea. You wondered if Zoro himself even realized he was doing it. But your all-time favorite?
It was when he smiled brighter than any star in the sky. His entire face lit up and chased back all the broody darkness he usually wore like armor. So, while you were upset to be torn from your book, you knew you would much rather be here in town with him.
When you arrived at the store Zoro immediately asked for samples. Two of everything. You thought he meant for himself, but felt complete terror widen your eyes when he slid one over to your place beside him at the bar. The only response you got was a raised brow and a smirk he quickly covered with the edge of his glass.
“What? Can steal a man’s glass from a dinner table but not an offered one?”
“Excuse me. I only did that because I knew you wanted it.”
“Hmmm. So, if I vocally say I don’t want you to drink with me, you’ll drink?”
You took a sniff of the amber liquid poured into the glass and felt your eyebrows curl up in retreat.
“This smells like regret,” you informed him with your eyes looking over the rim of the glass at his very striking figure.
This man was insane if he thought you were going to drink with him. You had no control over your mouth once you had one glass too many and you weren’t sure you could take responsibility for whatever your hands may, or may not, do. Especially since he was wearing another one of his gi’s, which suspiciously looked more untucked in the chest area than usual.
You were going to have to ask Nami if she might have spilled some secrets from a girls' night.
“There is no such thing as regret. Just a learning experience.”
“Yeah, no. That sounds like regret.”
He let out an annoyed sigh as he kicked back what was left inside the glass. The man didn’t even pull a face. He just casually swallowed it and placed the glass rim down first on the bar.
“That’s going to be a no.” He hummed to himself before he turned to look at you. “Look, Doc, I just want a second opinion on the booze. It’s for Nami’s special day or whatever.”
He had a point. You didn’t want Zoro picking something that was strong enough to melt the hair off a man’s chest, but you also didn’t want it growing any hair on anyone’s chest, either.
“Fair point.”
You took one last look at your glass before grabbing it and slamming back its contents. The regret was instant as it burned its way down your throat and boiled molten in your belly. You couldn’t keep from coughing as you tried to shoot daggers in his direction.
“You know what you learned there?” Zoro asked.
You were scared to ask but felt yourself coughing, “What?” regardless.
“You don’t like that one.”
Your hand lightly smacked him in the arm on a whim. You waited for him to turn and give you a death glare from the tap, but you were given a soft smile instead and was that- did Zoro just laugh?
He was already on his fifth glass and maybe that was why he was being so damn cute. Yeah, that was it. Zoro instantly became a lightweight.
You knocked back the second one in record time. This time, it didn’t burn as much as the first, but it still didn’t taste much better.
“I never understood the big deal about birthdays.” Zoro’s voice was deep in thought, his eyes roaming the inside of the empty glass of his sixth drink. “It’s just a day.”
A “Tsk,” pushed past your lips as you leaned over towards him. Your cheek rested on his arm as you looked up at him. It felt like it was taking forever for him to even glance down at you. You were about to poke him in his side to finally make him move when dark eyes fell down on your face.
Gods, you really needed to remember to breathe.
“It’s not just a day! It’s the day you were born. It’s not just to celebrate but to be grateful that you’re here. I’m grateful you’re here.”
You watched his Adam’s Apple bob in his throat. The way his eyes flashed with something you weren’t used to seeing made a question form on your tongue but before you could ask it, Zoro looked away and back at the table. His hand wrapped around a new glass and quickly emptied its contents.
“Come on, we still have a lot of booze to get through.”
It wasn’t until the two of you were squeezed into a booth, all of the booze gone, and your head resting on his shoulder, with Zoro’s head resting on yours, that he mentioned it again.
“I don’t think I’ve ever celebrated my birthday before,” he hummed. His fingers were playing with the hem of the pocket on your cargo pants. “But if I did. I want it to be with you.”
It felt silly that just a few words could make your heart race like it did. It was the booze, you’d reminded yourself. You’d both drunk enough to tranquilize a sea beast. Zoro would never just mumble things like this to you, resting his head on yours like he did.
That day Zoro didn’t say more than that and you didn’t press him. Not that you could, anyways. You couldn’t even remember the walk back to the Merry. The night of Nami’s birthday, in the middle of the fireworks, you’d both been sitting on the deck. Your eyes cast up to the explosion of color that painted the sky.
“November.”
“What?”
A finger stroked the neck of the bottle he’d been nursing. His wrist found a comfortable spot on his knee as he leaned back on his palm. It was enough to look natural - enough to not bring attention to the fact this position easily put him shoulder-to-shoulder beside you.
“My birthday it’s…it’s in November. If you are curious.”
July came and went. August and September. You practically counted each day in each month and hated how it seemed to go so fast, but not fast enough. You’d planned and had every idea of how you were going to give him one of the best birthdays ever.
You’d already bought his favorite whiskey and gave it a cute little bow. You’d even asked Sanji to show you how to make a cake. You practiced tirelessly with Sanji watching you every step of the way. So, you couldn’t understand how or why your cake looked like a deflated balloon.
“Did you overbeat the flour?”
Sanji was leaning back against the counter. A hand covering his mouth because you knew he was either smiling or frowning or a mixture of both. The towel he’d used to clean up your earlier spill rested over his shoulder.
“I don’t know,” you groaned into your hands.
“It’s alright. It’s not the time to panic-“
“It is the perfect time to panic! I don’t have time to try and redo the cake, Sanji.”
The day was almost over. Zoro had spent the majority of it out with Luffy. You’d been waiting for them both to come back and when they did, it was night. You weren’t sure how many hours were left in the day for you to do this, but you knew you didn’t have a lot of time left.
“Can you hand me a cookie cutter?”
“What are you going to do?”
“I’m gonna improvise.”
You used the cookie cutter to find the best part of the cake and cut out a piece. You slammed on maybe too much frosting and quickly went and grabbed your present from your room. It might have been a good idea to change since you were practically wearing most of the cake ingredients on your clothes.
It was too late to change anything. You were already in front of his door and with the tip of your boot knocked as gently as you could. You could hear the slightest sounds of Zoro moving around inside—a groan and what sounded like a few choice words grumbled right after.
You weren’t ready for what greeted you.
Zoro swung open the door and all your brain functions ceased. He was shirtless. The scars Mihawk had given him were fully on display along with every ridiculous muscle definition known to man. His hair was haphazard from sleep, eyes still struggling to focus, with pants hung low at his hips. You weren’t sure if you should be thankful or happy. One thing was for sure. You almost dropped your cake.
“Oh, hey Doc. What’s up?”
Fuck. Was his voice always so unnecessarily rich like this when he woke up? You weren’t sure why, but you panicked and practically shoved the items towards his face.
“Surprise!”
He looked from your would-be birthday cake and the bottle of whiskey with a bow and back to you.
“What is this for?”
“Your birthday, silly.”
That seemed to wake him up and not in a good way. He quickly reached out and pulled you inside. He shut the door behind you and if it weren’t for the bit of moonlight that showed through his window, you both would’ve been consumed by darkness.
Zoro moved forward and you remembered you were in a dimly lit room with him. With a tight smile on your face, you lifted the cake and repeated, “Surprise!”
“You said that already.”
“True but this time it didn’t result in you pulling me anywhere. I brought matches too so you could blow out the candle on your cake.”
Zoro took one look at your cake and all that grumpy energy he held from being woken up disappeared. It was replaced with a soft grin as he looked from the cake to you.
“Why is it in the shape of a Christmas tree?”
“Let's not focus on the details. Oh, and this is for you too!”
Yes, you were nervous. Yes, this was the first time you’d been inside his room like this, but everything was fine. It was fine. So, there wasn’t any real reason why you almost slammed the bottle into his chest. Zoro didn’t seem to mind the small impact as his eyes landed on the label.
“It’s my favorite one.”
“I know. It took me a while to find it. Come on. Come sit.”
You moved to sit on the edge of his bed. Your fingers went to dig the matchbox out of your pocket, and as soon as you got it out, strike one to light up the candle. You carefully lifted the plate back up in your hands as Zoro sat down beside you. The soft glow of the candle made all the hardness of his jaw and cheeks appear softer and the plushness of his lips more inviting. Everything about Zoro appeared different in the soft illumination of the candle and you wished you could draw it to memory.
A smile that was big and genuine lifted the corners of your mouth. Your hands held up the plate at the best angle between you as you softly said, “Happy Birthday, Zoro. Make a wish.”
Zoro tried to shake away the smirk that started to form before he leaned forward and blew out his candle. You turned to place the plate on the barrel beside the bed.
“Are you going to ask me what I wished for?”
You froze in place. Your heart suddenly beat wildly against your chest as you struggled to swallow past your racing pulse. You hoped when you turned back around to face him you didn’t look terrified.
“It’s usually bad luck to ask,” you replied.
“Ask.”
“What did you wish for, Zoro?”
“You.”
You weren’t prepared for Zoro to close the last few inches between you. For his hand to weave his fingers into your hair while his other gripped your waist. Those last few moments of sanity you had before he pressed his lips against yours evaporated the minute he touched you.
Maybe you’d been his true present all along.

Upon waking up, you heard the sound of the sea and felt the warmth of the fur on your body.
You opened your eyes to meet the sea stretching out before you, its waves gently crashing against the shore. The warmth of the fur on your body reminded you of the cozy comfort of when Chopper used to turn his fur into a protective ball of fluff.
When you heard grunting, you fully woke up and realized something was wrong. You quickly realized that the fur on your body was bloodied.
You slowly pushed yourself off so you could see what animal you were on, and to your horror, you found yourself sitting on top of a wounded reindeer, its body covered in bloodstains.
You then recognized the hat that the reindeer was wearing.
It was a vibrant red top hat with a black trim, adorned with a white cross hanging from the tip.
"Chopper?" You muttered, your voice barely a whisper.
It was as if the reindeer had stopped in his tracks as he turned his head around to look at you.
As Chopper stared back at you with his gentle brown eyes, a mix of confusion and pain evident in his expression, you realized that he must have been injured while trying to rescue you.
"Y/N?" A voice whispered from a cell you quickly past by.
You recognized that voice straight away, turning back to look inside the cell. It was Tony Tony Chopper, his small frame huddled in a corner, his eyes filled with fear and hope as he saw you.
"Chopper!" you exclaimed, rushing to the cell and reaching through the bars to hold his trembling hand. "I found you. We're getting out of here."
You were shocked when you saw how beaten up Chopper was. His fur was matted with blood, and his limbs trembled with pain as he weakly clung to your hand.
You then remembered how you had risked everything to rescue Chopper from that place. The memories flooded back as you held his fur tight, unable to bear losing him again.
"Y/N! You're finally awake! Don't worry, we're almost home," Chopper reassured with a weak smile.
You looked ahead to see the Thousand Sunny docked by the sea, its vibrant red and yellow sails billowing in the breeze. Relief washed over you as you realized that your daring rescue mission had been successful and that you and Chopper were finally safe.
"How long did I pass out for?" You asked hoarsely.
"Hmm, for about an hour now, I was able to stabilise both of our injuries with the first aid box that you brought," Chopper stated, starting to walk again.
"One hour," you replied surprised but didn't have any energy to express it. "You carried me for one hour? Why didn't you wake me up?"
"Because you looked really tired and I wanted to do the saving this time," Chopper said.
"Chopper, you know I would risk my life at any time for you?"
"Yeah I know because you're my mom right?"
You smiled at his words, "Yes, it's because you're my son."
"We've both done enough saving for today," you laughed. "Why don't we wake up your dad to carry us the rest of the way home?"
"My dad? You mean Zoro?"
"Of course and now that you've let me rest, my energy might be enough to throw him a message."
You felt the energy in your body and you formed a spear out of water in your hand. With a flick of your wrist, you launched the spear towards the Thousand Sunny, creating a loud splash as it pierced through the air and landed where Zoro would always sleep at this time.
"I think he got the message, you can drop me now," you said, gently patting Chopper's side. Chopper obediently lowered you to the ground, his eyes filled with gratitude and love as he turned back to his human point and nuzzled against your stomach.
As you weakly placed your hand on top of Chopper's head, tears of relief filled your eyes.
"We're going to be okay," you muttered to Chopper, your voice filled with a mixture of exhaustion and gratitude.
Chopper looked up at you with his big, teary eyes and replied, "Yes, we are. And it's all thanks to you, Mom. You're the strongest person I know."
You quickly wiped your tears while hugging Chopper, grateful for his words. "And you're the bravest little reindeer I know," you whispered.
Suddenly you heard snoring and you smiled, looking at your chest to see Chopper sleeping peacefully.
Just like his father, you thought.
It wasn't long before you fell asleep as well, as the gentle rocking of the waves lulled you into a peaceful state of slumber. . . .
₊˚ ︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿୨୧ · · ♡ · · ୨୧‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿ ˚₊
Zoro was abruptly awakened by the loud splash and the spear landing near him. Confused and slightly annoyed, he sat up and rubbed his eyes, trying to make sense of what had just happened.
When Zoro got a closer look, he realized it was your spear that had woken him up. However, as he looked around, he couldn't see you anywhere in sight. He quickly stood up, scanning the area with a sense of concern and wondering where you could have gone.
Zoro's heart skipped a beat as he saw the once solid water spear dissolve into liquid and form the words "come get us you idiot" with an arrow pointing in one direction. It was a clear message, and Zoro wasted no time, sprinting in the indicated direction, determined to find you and Chopper.
How am I the idiot when you sneaked out to help Chopper by yourself? He thought as he jumped off the ship and followed the arrow.
After a few minutes, Zoro found two figures in the distance, lying on the floor, with the arrow pointing directly at them.
As Zoro approached the figures, his heart sank. It was you and Chopper, lying on the ground, motionless. Panic surged through him as he dropped to his knees and frantically checked for signs of life, praying that he hadn't arrived too late.
Your eyes then slowly opened, and you smirked, "Took you long enough when you just had to follow an arrow, idiot," you teased, relieved to see Zoro by your side.
Zoro looked terrified as he looked at both you and Chopper, his eyes filled with a mix of relief and anger. "You scared the hell out of me," he muttered, his voice trembling. "Don't you ever do something like that again."
"Sorry, but at least we're alive, right?" you teased, trying to lighten the mood. Zoro's stern expression softened slightly, and he let out a sigh of relief.
"Yeah, I guess that's something," he replied, his voice still filled with worry.
He quickly took Chopper, who was still asleep, into his arms, cradling the little reindeer protectively. Zoro's eyes shifted between you and Chopper, his worry evident in his gaze as he whispered, "Thank goodness you're both safe."
"I'm okay to walk," you started, trying to get up.
"But you're not going to," Zoro said firmly, adjusting Chopper to be on one side.
He gently placed his arm behind your back and positioned you against his chest, holding you in place, creating a warm and comforting embrace that drew you close to his chest, making you feel safe and cherished.
You closed your eyes, feeling a sense of relief wash over you as you rested your head against Zoro's neck. The steady rise and fall of his chest, coupled with the soothing rhythm of his heartbeat, provided a comforting lullaby that eased your worries and allowed you to fully relax in his embrace.
"Are you sure I'm not heavy?" you questioned as your eyes started to close, feeling the weight of exhaustion settling in.
Zoro chuckled softly, his voice filled with tenderness, "You and Chopper are as light as two feathers to me. Just rest, I've got you."
You nodded in agreement, feeling Zoro slowly rise from the sandy ground beneath you. His strong arms held you securely as he effortlessly lifted you up, careful not to disturb Chopper's peaceful slumber.
As he stood tall, you couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of gratitude for his unwavering presence and protectiveness.
As Zoro began to walk, his steady footstep on the sand lulled you into a peaceful slumber. The gentle sway of his movements and the comforting warmth of his embrace created a soothing rhythm that eased your tired mind and allowed sleep to claim you completely. . . .

Zoro found his way back to the ship with an uncanny sense of direction, effortlessly navigating through the winding paths of the island. It was as if an invisible compass guided him, leading him back to safety without any hesitation or detours for once.
Usopp, who had been keeping watch on the ship, let out a gasp as he spotted Zoro emerging from the horizon.
As Zoro reached the ship, Usopp's eyes widened in astonishment as he witnessed the sight of Zoro carrying you and Chopper in his arms, both of you peacefully asleep. Usopp's voice trembled with disbelief as he exclaimed, "Zoro, is that really you?"
"Where did you find them?" Usopp asked in awe as Zoro stepped onto the ship, cradling you and Chopper in his arms.
Zoro's gaze softened as he replied, "I found them on the beach, exhausted and in need of rest. Don't worry, they're safe now."
With a grateful smile, Usopp nodded and stepped aside, allowing Zoro to make his way to the doctor's office, which was also Chopper's room.
As Zoro gently laid you and Chopper on the comfortable couch, he couldn't help but feel a sense of relief knowing that you were finally in a safe and peaceful place.
He looked over at the both of you, his eyes filled with a mixture of affection and concern, silently vowing to protect you both no matter what.
"So she's finally back?" a voice that Zoro recognized as Luffy said at the door, his eyes widening in surprise at the sight of you and Chopper peacefully asleep on the couch.
Zoro nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips, as he replied, "Yeah, they're safe now. Just need some rest."
Zoro quickly left the room with Luffy, his hand covering Luffy's mouth to prevent any loud questions that could potentially wake you and Chopper up.
As they stepped outside, Zoro closed the door softly behind them, ensuring that you both could continue to enjoy your peaceful slumber undisturbed.
However, as soon as Zoro and Luffy joined the rest of the crew, he was bombarded with questions about where he had found you and Chopper, and how you had ended up in such a exhausted state. The crew was eager to know every detail, but Zoro remained tight-lipped, deciding to keep the events of the night to himself for now.
"But Zoro, we're dying of curiosity! We can't wait for them to wake up," Nami exclaimed, her eyes wide with anticipation.
"Yeah, spill the beans, swordsman! We want to know what happened," Sanji chimed in, his voice filled with excitement.
"If you want to know, then you should ask them when they wake up," Zoro simply said, his tone of voice indicating that he had made up his mind not to disclose any further information about the events of the night.
Curiosity piqued, the crew members exchanged glances before Nami chimed in, "Yeah, Zoro's right. Let's give them some time to rest and recover. We can ask them all about it when they wake up."
Sanji, unable to contain his curiosity, added, "But seriously, how did they end up like that? Did they get caught in a storm or something?"
Zoro shrugged, his eyes never leaving the closed door, and simply replied, "You'll find out soon enough."
The crew members couldn't help but exchange puzzled glances, their curiosity growing with each passing moment. They were eager to unravel the mystery of how you and Chopper had ended up in such an exhausted state, but respected Zoro's decision to keep the events of the night to himself.
They knew that the answers would come in due time, and patiently waited for you and Chopper to wake up and share your story. . . .

As you slowly woke up, you felt the warmness of what was a blanket and Chopper cuddling beside you. Blinking away the remnants of sleep, you realized that you and Chopper had been in the doctor's room in the Thousand Sunny, which meant Zoro had carried you both back to the ship without your help.
"Looks like Zoro carried the whole family on his shoulders," a voice joked silently in your mind.
You looked to your side to see Robin sitting in a chair, a small smile playing on her lips. "Good to see you awake," she said softly, her eyes filled with concern. "We were worried about you and Chopper."
"I'm sorry for leaving without telling you guys," you apologized, your voice filled with genuine remorse.
Robin's smile widened as she nodded understandingly. "Don't worry, we're just glad you're both safe. Zoro made sure to bring you back to the ship. Now, rest up and recover. We'll be here waiting when you're ready to share what happened."
You nodded in agreement, grateful for her understanding. As you settled back into the warmth of the blanket, you gently held onto Chopper, feeling a sense of comfort and security as you drifted off to sleep once again. . . .

As you woke up from your nap, you were greeted by the sound of happy yells and laughter coming from the deck of the Thousand Sunny.
It seemed like the crew was having a lively and joyful time, and you couldn't help but smile as you realized that you were surrounded by a family who truly cared for you.
When you tried to slowly stand up, you felt a gentle tug on your arm, pulling you back to the couch, as if someone didn't want you to leave just yet.
You then saw that a hand was wrapped around your waist and it belonged to Zoro, who was still asleep. His peaceful expression made you hesitate, realizing that he must have subconsciously pulled you back to keep you close.
You were surprised that he would do something like this since he would only be this brave when he was drunk. It made you realize that his feelings for you ran deeper than you had imagined, and you couldn't help but wonder what this meant for your relationship with him.
The warmth of his touch made you decide to stay a little longer, cherishing this moment of tranquility before joining the lively crew on the deck.
You laid back on the couch, but instead of going back to sleep, you decided to admire Zoro. The way his features softened in slumber, the steady rise and fall of his chest, and the warmth of his presence beside you filled you with a sense of peace and contentment.
You couldn't help but notice the rugged yet handsome features on Zoro's face, even in his sleep. His strong jawline, slightly tousled hair, and closed eyelids hiding intense determination all added to his allure.
His furrowed brows were smoothed out, revealing a vulnerability that few had the privilege of witnessing. The faintest hint of a smile graced his lips, adding an unexpected softness to his rugged features.
"Is there something on my face?" you heard someone say, and you slightly jumped at the lowness of the voice.
You turned your gaze towards Zoro, meeting his intense gaze as his eyes slowly fluttered open. A mixture of surprise and amusement danced in his eyes, and a small smirk tugged at his lips. "Caught you staring," he whispered, his voice husky with sleep.
You turned to face Zoro, meeting his gaze as his eyes fluttered open. The intensity in his stare sent a shiver down your spine, and you quickly averted your gaze, feeling a blush creep up your cheeks.
"N-no, it's nothing," you stammered, trying to hide your embarrassment.
Zoro chuckled softly, his warm breath brushing against your cheek. "Don't worry, I don't mind," he replied, his voice filled with warmth and affection. "I've caught myself staring at you plenty of times too."
"No, really, it's not what you think," you insisted, desperately trying to deny the truth that hung in the air. But deep down, you knew that denying it would be futile, especially when Zoro's knowing smile told you that he saw right through your feeble attempt to hide your admiration.
You couldn't help but feel a pang of vulnerability as he wrapped his arm tight around you. "What's wrong?" he asked. "Don't you used to be the confident one between the two of us?"
Looking back at him, you couldn't even hold eye contact for 3 seconds, your gaze continually shifting away. The truth was, you were afraid that if you looked into his eyes for too long, he would see the depth of your feelings and the vulnerability that came with them.
"It's different now," you muttered, your voice barely audible.
Zoro's grip on you tightened as he leaned in, his voice filled with tenderness. "Different or not, I'm here for you. You don't have to hide anything from me."
Summoning your courage, you looked at him again, locking eyes with Zoro.
"Since when have you been this confident?" you said, unable to hide the slight admiration in your voice. Zoro's smirk widened, and he brushed a strand of hair behind your ear.
"I guess being around you brings out the best in me," he replied, his eyes sparkling with affection.
Unable to resist the magnetic pull between you, you saw Zoro's eyes flicker to your lips, a subtle hint of desire in his gaze. Your heart skipped a beat as you wondered if he felt the same longing that you did.
"I don't mind being stared at, especially if it's by you."
In that moment, the world around you faded away as both of you leaned in, the intensity of your connection drawing you closer.
Then suddenly, a loud bang was heard on the wall and you jumped, moving away from Zoro and sitting up, breaking the intimate moment between you. Startled, you looked around, trying to find the source of the noise, your heart racing with a mix of fear and disappointment.
Zoro chuckled, amused by your reaction, and you felt your face flush with embarrassment. You looked away, trying to ignore the expression on his face, and your heart slowly returned to its normal rhythm.
As you gathered your thoughts and tried to calm your racing heart, you noticed that Zoro had also sat up and was now facing you. His eyes held a mix of concern and amusement, and you couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort in his presence.
"It was Luffy, isn't it?" you muttered, feeling embarrassed by your lapse in focus. Zoro's smile softened, and he reached out to gently cup your cheek.
"It probably was but let's not focus on that now," he said.
You took a deep breath, feeling a surge of bravery, and leaned in once again, meeting Zoro halfway.
As you leaned in, you wrapped your arms around Zoro's neck, pulling him closer to you. The warmth of his embrace enveloped you, and you both lost yourselves in the moment, forgetting about the interruption and allowing your connection to deepen even further.
Zoro's hands gently rested on your hips, his touch sending shivers down your spine. The warmth of his embrace enveloped you, and you both lost yourselves in the moment.
You could feel the anticipation building, the way your breathing changed ever so slightly, as if your body knew what was about to happen.
The world seemed to stand still as your lips finally met, and in that instant, all your worries and fears melted away, leaving only the undeniable connection between you and Zoro.
"Zoro! Wake up! You can't miss Chopper's story!" Luffy screamed as he burst through the door, completely unaware of what was happening in front of him.
This was just like before, you thought of last night when Luffy interrupted them before.
You tried to gently push yourself away from Zoro's embrace, but he held you firmly, unwilling to let go. His arms remained securely wrapped around your waist, as if he never wanted to release you from his grasp.
"Luffy, I'll be there in a minute," Zoro said, not breaking eye contact with you, his gaze filled with a determination that made your heart skip a beat.
His words were filled with determination, as he made it clear that he wasn't going to let anything or anyone come between the two of you.
"Okay," Luffy sulked, closing the door, finally giving you and Zoro the privacy you both needed to continue where you left off.
"I thought...." you whispered, your voice filled with uncertainty.
"You thought I was going to leave?" Zoro's grip tightened as he looked deeply into your eyes, his voice filled with conviction.
"No way, I'm not leaving again for you to go on another adventure by yourself," he said, his words echoing in your ears, reassuring you that he was here to stay.
You smiled, feeling a wave of relief wash over you.
"Let's finish what we started," Zoro whispered, his lips grazing against yours, reigniting the passion that had momentarily been interrupted.
Your heart raced as you replied with a breathless, "Yes, let's."
As Zoro's lips pressed against yours, a surge of butterflies erupted in your stomach, the intensity of your connection sending waves of electricity through your veins. Your chest tightened with anticipation, each touch and caress from Zoro igniting a fire within you.
Your knees grew weak, unable to support the weight of the passion that consumed you both, as you surrendered yourself completely to the moment.
As the intensity of your connection grew, you found yourselves exploring each other's bodies with a hunger that couldn't be quelled. The room filled with heated whispers and moans, as you both surrendered to the raw desire that consumed you.
Every touch, every kiss, sent shivers down your spine, igniting a fire that burned hotter with each passing moment. Your bodies moved in perfect sync, a dance of passion and longing, as you lost yourselves in the depths of desire.
Zoro's hand slowly made its way up under your shirt, his touch sending a surge of electricity through your body, intensifying the already fiery passion between you. Every caress from his fingertips left a trail of goosebumps in its wake, heightening the anticipation and deepening the connection you shared.
Getting injured was worth it. . . .

"And then Y/N came in running in and defeating everyone with her ability. It was so cool!" Chopper described to the rest of the crew.
As Chopper excitedly recounted the events that took place a few hours ago, he bounced up and down on your lap, his little hooves emphasizing each thrilling moment.
You smiled and continued to give Chopper a soothing back massage as he animatedly shared his tale. The gentle kneading of your fingers seemed to fuel his excitement, making him even more animated as he vividly described your incredible display of power.
Zoro had been sitting beside you, listening to Chopper while massaging your back with one hand. His touch added a comforting warmth to your soothing back massage, creating a sense of calm that contrasted the exhilaration of Chopper's storytelling.
"I didn't know you were that badass," Zoro chuckled, his voice low and teasing. "I guess there's more to you than meets the eye."
Admiration was evident in his voice as he continued to work his magic on your tense muscles.
You couldn't help but blush at Zoro's comment, the warmth spreading from your cheeks to the rest of your body. It was a rare moment of vulnerability from the usually stoic swordsman, and it made you appreciate his support even more.
"I...uh...I guess I just got lucky," you stammered, your face turning an even deeper shade of red.
"I don't believe in luck," Zoro replied, a hint of a smirk playing on his lips. "You've got skills, Y/N, and I saw it firsthand today. Don't sell yourself short."
"Thank you, Zoro," you responded, a mixture of gratitude and shyness in your voice.
"Dad! Tell them how you rescued us from the beach," Chopper asked excitedly, turning to Zoro.
Zoro chuckled and ruffled Chopper's fur affectionately before responding, "Well, it was nothing compared to Y/N's heroic feat. But yeah, I did manage to pull you guys out of that rough current. Just doing my part as a member of this crew."
"And your part as a parent," you added, a soft smile tugging at the corners of your lips.
"Yeah, it was quite an adventure," Zoro said happily, his hand resting on your waist. The warmth of his touch matched the warmth in his smile, and you couldn't help but feel a surge of affection for him.
This moment, surrounded by your newfound family, was a reminder of the bonds that held you all together on this incredible journey. . . .

"Oh, you see that fire over there?" Zoro asked, pointing in the distance to a wild fire on a burnt down building.
"Yeah,"
"That's where their base is, or that is where their base used to be," Zoro admitted with pride.
Your eyes widened at Zoro's words, a mix of shock and realization washing over you. So that was the reason behind the fire and destruction - Zoro had single-handedly taken down their base.
"They got a little visit from a certain swordsman-"
You leaned in and pressed your lips against Zoro's, effectively silencing his words. His face turned slightly red, his surprise evident in his eyes.
"My hero," you said, pulling away from the kiss with a playful smile. "I can't believe you took down their entire base. You never cease to amaze me, Zoro."
Zoro's surprise slowly turned into a smirk, and he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you closer. "Just doing my part," he whispered, his voice filled with affection and pride. . . .

MINORS, BE GONE. 🔫
Tumblr media
It was truly a coincidence that the entire straw hat crew had left for the night and both of them had decided to stay behind to watch over the Sunny, but it was indeed a purposeful move on the woman’s part to seek her counterpart. Like a hunter preying on a delicious victim to fulfill her plans, there was a strange glimmer in her eyes as she walked the path that would guide her to his usual habitat, the Crow’s Nest.
And indeed, there he was, in his full, thick glory. Uncovered chest heaving from exertion, beads of sweat dripping between the planes of carefully carved abs—one running down the expanse of his chest directly into a tantalizing trail of green hair—her predatory gaze follows its path to his most intimate parts, hidden by a pair of gray sweatpants. Mouthwatering, and all hers, it would be a crime to not taste him.
It was certain he had noticed her movements, but hadn’t paid attention as they were already used to sharing each other's space, never far but always respecting personal boundaries. Zoro was not one for public displays of affection; his barely concealed frown gracing his features in response to any small act of tenderness done in front of their close companions, but it never really bothered his partner, knowing it was merely a natural reaction from a shy man. If anything, it only became more enticing for her to take full advantage of  private moments and closed doors when the opportunities arose, like a cheeky secret between lovers.
Expecting it or not, his warm skin tensed with the contact of her fingers brushed against his upper back, head turning to fix his one good eye on her movements. A questioning expression took his features; she gazed back and smiled teasingly, running feather-like nails from his neck to lower back. He could feel the goosebumps prickling his skin from her touches, and like a true prey, he was frozen to the intensity of her half-lidded eyes.
The more rational part of his brain wanted to question her plans, to be in control of his own fate, but the more instinctual (and currently winning) side of him could only stay motionless, eye closely following her actions as she stalked around his body, fingers gently grazing her way up his spine and toward his front, hands splaying on ample chest before meeting each other behind his neck. She pressed her body into his, her cat-like grin expanding as she caught a glimpse of clear excitement behind his tentative stoicism; curiosity and expectancy of what she had planned for the evening gleaming in his steel gray eye.
“You know,” her melodious voice purred, body moving against his in an excuse to reach his bejeweled ear, in the way that one whispers loving secrets, “We are all alone tonight, don’t you think we should take the chance to explore our options?” Making her point more clear, two fingers emulated the movements of legs descending his sun kissed shoulder, walking a path through his toned chest and abdomen, until they reached a trail over his trousers. Zoro gulps, tongue coming forth to lick his chapped and dried up lips, watching as her fingers continued their slow track over his barely concealed length.
Of course he wanted it; since the day he realized how much she meant to him, there was a constant flux of images racing through his mind that he couldn’t escape—day and night, a curse and a blessing. Thoughts of how good would it be to feel her plush skin pressed against his bare body, how tantalizing would it be to make her sing amorous notes for his ears alone, but also embarrassing wet dreams where he would wake up with her name on his lips and an uncomfortable dampness in his trousers. Bothered, pent up, and embarrassed, he took nightwatches more frequently to escape the prying eyes of his roommates. Using the privacy of the Crow’s Nest to get rid of his frustrations, he palmed himself to the idea of her wet folds pressing against the sensitive skin of his cock.
But there were also the nerves of inexperience coursing through him, as she was the first (and preferably, the last) he ever wanted to be this vulnerable and intimate with; she knew about this deep sentiment of his, as they had shared confidences many times prior to this, sake in one hand and his heart for her in the other. Clearing his throat—and his mind, from all the negativity, he found his voice again. “I…yeah…sure. What do ya have in mind?”
Her expression softened, sensing his uneasiness. Slender hands reached for strands of green hair, nails grazing his scalp gently as she pressed kisses along his jawline in a soothing manner. “Just getting used to each other, love. We have all the time in the world to explore our desires.” Smiling gently, she gazed back into his functional eye, trying to convey her feelings. “I plan to see you become the greatest swordsman there is and to grow old by your side, you know that, right?”
“Yea… I know.”
“Then relax, let me take care of you tonight. Yea?” She only waited for his body to relax under her hands, before softly pushing the man towards the sofa, his form heavily forced in a sitting position, as she kneeled in front of him - eyes never leaving his. “And don’t worry, I’ve been wanting this as much as you do, promise.” As if to prove her point, both hands greedily ran through his thick muscular thighs, mouth connecting to his hard low abdomen, leaving a path of open mouth kisses toward green-ish happy trail.
Pupils blown as a starved woman who found salvation in the form of his erection leaving the confines of gray sweatpants. She was clearly excited at the prospect of taking him, lower lip between her teeth as she took in his girth, ignoring the awkward shuffle of the man before her, unused to so much attention - so vulnerable and exposed, but secretly proud of the famine looks toward his manhood.
Besides the initial comfort, he should’ve known his woman was not going to be gentle nor take it slow, her eyes shifting to a teasing glimmer as she focused onto his, a barely concealed smirk as she moved forth and opened her mouth to let her tongue roll out just above his shaft. Thick stream of saliva dripped from her tongue, directly into the head of his penis and into her lean fingers - that had come forth to help spread it through his length. And in that exact moment, he realized he had completely lost control of his fate for the night.
She could already feel how he twitched in her hand, firmly massaging back and forth his erection with experienced movements, thumbing the pre cum forming from its slit to facilitate  lubrification. His breath ragged from the unimaginable pleasure, as never before had he allowed anyone to touch him in such a manner.
“Is this ok…?” He could hear her asking, but didn’t really bother answering besides nodding and closing his eye to focus on the sensation for a second, head thrown back in pleasure. “Don’t,” she warned - or perhaps commanded, “Look at me, baby.” And he obeyed without question, lulling his head back to look at her, not expecting her next movement.
She waited for his gaze to focus on her before seductively licking a wet trail from the base of his shaft to the mushroom-like head, swirling her tongue on it before taking it on her mouth, sucking gently. He couldn’t control the growl from ripping his throat, hips stuttering with intention to fuck his way inside her mouth, biting his fist to keep himself together, as she took more of him inside her warm cavity, humming as she felt his entire length with her tongue.
She knew he wouldn’t last long now, as overwhelmed as he was. She could feel how tensed his thigh muscles are beneath her hands, and how his breath came in uneven puffs of air as he struggled to not finish so fast. So, taking pity on her beloved swordsman, she pulled back - leisurely, still taking pleasure of how he felt on her mouth and tongue, sucking on his head before letting it all go with an audible ‘pop’. “Love, don’t hold back. We can go as many times as you can, as long as you can. Ok? It’s only your first time.”
“Yea- yea, ok. Yea.” He didn’t need to say it, but the way his hand came to hold her scalp - forceful, but not hurtful, was enough indication that he didn’t want her to stop anymore. He would obey, he just needed to find release from all that sweet torture, and who was she to not comply? A understanding smile, before immediately going back with a firm hold the base of his thick length, and her mouth covering the rest, sucking and licking till she could feel how his hips tensed and stuttered, his mind abandoning his initial control to fully thrusting and grab into her hair, a string of curses and praises falling from his lips, as she hummed and moaned around his shaft.
With one throaty moan, he thrusted one last time, thick and warm fluids filling her mouth down her throat, which she took with devotion and contentment for bringing such immense satisfaction for her lover, to be the first one to hear such stoic and guarded man babbling in pleasure, toes curling with overstimulation as she sucked his last drops of cum. She could only smile with pride as he pulled her off by the hair, as he harshly and unevenly breathed, trying to focus once again.
As he stared, her hand let go of his softening member, to reach up at her own mouth, fingers running through her lips, catching the last drops of semen and licking it off. She would be the death of him, he was sure of it as he grabbed her head with both hands to bring her close, roughly kiss those puffed lips and tasting himself as his tongue explored her own. She was so good to him, so gorgeous and giving, as she sat on his lap and kissed him back.
Both her legs over his own, holding her weight by positioning the back of her feet on his knees, she let he come from his high, running her hands through his strands of green hair and his sweaty pectoral, smiling at the way his breath hitched with a roll of her fingers against a firm bud. He was still sensitive, and she was nowhere done with him yet.
“Zoro… You are so handsome like this. You deserve to be loved, my pretty boy.” Whispering against his mouth, she continued to play with his chest, now moving to flick the other nipple, receiving a better answer with a roll of his hips and a pained expression - not from harm but from the pain of the most sweet torture of wishing for more. She could feel his hands grip her hips harder, eye sharpening on the way that told her she was doing enough of a good job in turning him on once again, good as they were in learning each other non-verbal communication.
Trusting his grip, she let both her hands now roam, pinching and pulling the hardening nubs, rubbing it gently to soothe and to stimulate the nerve endings. She didn’t need to look down to know his length was springing back to life once again, instead busying herself in sucking and marking his neck and shoulders with her teeth, intending to bring him to climax another time by not touching his cock.
And she by the way his hips rolled against her, his head fell back against the sofa, mouth agape and eyes closed in pleasure, she was doing a successful work. It was clear he had never experienced so much stimuli before, and she loved that man enough to teach him about the wonders of carnal pleasure with the right partner. “You’ll cum for me, baby?” She whispered alluringly in his ear, hearing how his breath stuttered mid moan, “Don’t hold back on me now.”
Zoro knew that if he was in his right mind, he’d be embarrassed to cumming untouched for the first time in his life - not counting the humiliating number of wet dreams from the last months, but at that moment he couldn't care less. Biting his lips to suppress a moan, before giving to the warm feeling of letting it all go once more, snapping his hip up and throwing his head back, a scream of FUCK when she had came forth to bite his shoulder enough to draw blood, adding to the seemsly never ending pleasure. String after string of heavy cum hitting his lover’s legs and belly, he could swear he had lost his mind for a mere second, as his body slightly spammed from the second orgasm of that night.
She was indeed good to him, now running her hands gently on his hair and face, cooing praises and pulling it against her shoulder. “You did so good, I love you so much, my darling.” She allowed him to grab her body against his, strong arms pressing them both together and rolling over to a laying down position on the sofa.
“Fuck, woman…” He said after a good few minutes, voice rough against her neck. “You are trying to kill me. I feel like goddamn jelly.” She could only giggle at his ‘complaints’, kissing his temple as he settled for a deserved nap - in which she probably should join, as she knew her man enough to understand: the night had only started.

Author’s notes:
Dear readers,
In another burst of writing, I embarked on a new journey by starting another fanfic, even though I'm already involved in several others. One Piece has been a safe haven for me over the years, an endless source of inspiration and comfort. Now, the time has come to finally express all my affection for the characters who have made this journey so special.
Sharing this story with you is a way for me to connect even more with this incredible work and with all those who, like me, have found in One Piece a refuge and a source of inspiration. I haven't decided yet if I'll make this fanfic a "y/n" fic, but even if I give a name to the protagonist, I hope you'll continue to follow and enjoy every chapter of this adventure.
Thank you for all the support and affection along the way. Without you, none of this would be possible.
With love,
L.

Belladonna Rose + A Tangle of Thorns
Ransom Rose, infamous pirate and captain of the Thorn Crew, was not a man to be taken lightly. All those who sailed the Blue Sea would watch warily for the blood red sails, whispering prayers at the sight of it, begging to whichever deity would listen that the volatile captain would let them go in peace.
It was a rare man that would dare to cross him- a stupid man, many would say- but Roronoa Zoro never did pay much mind to what others said. So when a hefty bounty appears for the one and only son of Captain Rose, Zoro doesn’t hesitate to hunt the pirate down. But when word of his son’s death reaches his ears, Ransom is quick to exact his revenge.
His daughter, Belladonna Rose, is given orders to find the pirate hunter responsible for her brother’s death and kill him- a job she is all too happy to accept. To avenge her brother and protect her younger sister from their father’s wrath, she is willing to do whatever it takes.
But the task grows infinitely more difficult when Belladonna becomes entangled with the Straw Hat Crew. The earnest, happy go lucky captain always willing to lend a helping hand, the grumpy navigator whose eyes reflect a past similar to her own- and the strong willed pirate hunter that left her life in tatters and set her down this path.

abstract: this is an oc x roronoa zoro drabble detailing a young woman's troubles with jealousy, insecurity and anxiety. writing and original character by me. i do not own or claim the rights to one piece. minor spoilers for the land of wano arc. (this drabble is to be continued.)
if you enjoy my writing, please feel free to check out my blog and submit a request! thank you for taking the time to read my work.
---
sanguineous in nature, the subtlety of its ligneous textures drew itself in soft, closed grains. incarnadine lacquer glossed over the ridges of its luciferin hallmarks. a leering mouth grinning something enviously sinister. with swinish tusks and ferine teeth protruding from its heinous grin. a burly nose scopes the mien of the demon, it's nostrils wide caverns that meet with a point before ascending a taper. where its bridge meets the brow, the creature takes an invidious countenance. in which its brow delves passed the line of sight to bare a malignant scowl. orbs sheen gallantly in gilded chromaticity. its pupils bleak and empty, carrying an endless abyss of darkness. bestial horns billow from either flank of its head, only consummating the onryo's demonian origins. such a perdition, its facade exudes an aura of foreboding. only vanward does this apparition reap contemptuously, as its semblance is incontestably covetous and prejudicial. but it is also melancholy.
for as the apparition bows its occiput, its, or rather, her visage illustrates one of anguish and torment. a woeful banshee whose animosity consumed her. her leering mandible wailed with eternal sorrow. her once scowling brow upturnt in insufferable tribulation. she was a creature driven ill by the refractory hysteria of her abortive desires. a demon born from envy and enmity condemned to a perpetuity of great atrocity and travail. a hannya.
perhaps it was due to her woeful past, that she became so distraught over these frivolous matters. or her primitive ideologies that the concept of true love did in fact exist? otherwise, her habitual persistence to attach herself to those she valued so dearly.
perhaps it had been all three.
but the triviality of these exhibitions were far more pivotal through her own perception than they necessarily tended to be.
and so, as she donned that treen mask that exuded such impenetrable evil, it was much more than just a facade utilized to veil her identity to the people of this land. much more than a symbol of sanguinity to the institutionalized prospects of wano.
it was whom she had become.
when nami and sanji had inquired about her wellbeing, she simply gesticulated. their concerns were met with an impetuous hum, before she removed herself from the cask of sake she had been leant against and began her descent in the opposing direction. she watched the kanjiki on her feet plant circular imprints into the freshly fallen snow. the bamboo brimmed conical upon her head casting a shadow that hid well her bleak bearing.
cerulean jade tresses drape effortlessly over the strong forearm of a swordsman. a delicate, graceful arm rests deliberately over the man's chest. another snakes purposefully round his nape. dainty fingers pressing against the bare skin of his tanned exterior. her face, the temptress, was irresistibly beauteous. fragile features adorn her faultlessly round face. imposing sapphire eyes are framed by her elegant, dark lashes. ones that, even the most recalcitrant of men could not resist gazing into. the same one's that gently kiss the tops of her cheeks with their tips as she rests, head nuzzled at the apex of his broad shoulder. she does not stir, but sleeps soundly in his arms. she does not shiver in respect to the bitter winter that lies outside that old shack they rest in, but rather glows a most pleasant pink in the warmth of his presence. her button nose scrunches in glee, and her scarlet-painted pout simpers in satisfaction of her own actions. it is as if her it is her ambition to evoke some sort of reaction of rango. her intent to forlorn her into a disgraceful disposition.
the envisage in which brook had just itemized to nami, sanji, robin, franky, and herself was an iteration engraved to her memories. one that, despite her pertinacious efforts to cease the illustration, vigorously persisted in her consciousness. perpetually, without clemency. a relentless mental torment that both enraged her and filled her with heartache. with each chimera, her wrathfulness only burgeoned.
zoro's lineament prostrated her mental process. his felicity was present in the way his lips formed a content grin. eyes were shut peacefully in slumber. from the waist up, his body is bare. wrapped meticulously in bandages to aid in rehabilitating his injuries from the day prior. on his right, the cerulean-haired siren wrapped up in his burly arm. which held her against his body by her impossibly thin waist. his left arm was bent back behind his scalp in his customary leisure. he is tranquil. he is serene. his traditionally hardened facade is softened in placidity. zoro seems, reposeful. it was peculiar to see such an anomalous sight. he was empyrean. for such a man known for his devilish nature, celestial was not typically an adjective used to elucidate such a man. on contra, he looked it. and some part of her longed to be able to provide such a comfort for him. she repined it.
prevalent was this matter, as the most recent rendition to the swordsman and the harlot's endeavors. verily, this had been an escalation through a series of irrefutable instances. there had been the initial indication of interest when zoro had demonstrated his ungodly strength to protect her. her compulsivity in making such calculated displays of affection toward him only reinstated the cogitation. most always, when rango had seen them together, the vamp insinuated a unrequited exploitation toward the moss-haired pirate. only, he had yet to draw cease to such unnecessary exhibitions. this, however, this had been the conjuncture. at the forefront of all their impertinent acts, was the two of them sleeping together. that only solidified rango's tribulations of her unlabeled lover and the mysterious courtesan. conceivably, it was consequential that she and her crewmate had not yet defined the venereal relations between them.
and then, as the golden rays of day shine prettily through the cracks of that old shack, infuriatingly faultless unto the other woman's striking beauty. a tender caress, precedented by the amorous osculate of her besmirched pucker placed fondly amongst the fine line of that idiot's jaw. then he, so virile, returning the predilection serried the breadth between their veneer's with a silken kiss to her forehead.
amethyst optics glimmer with saturnine tears. aggrieved, her lips cusp and writhe into a lour. anger and sadness birth feral resentment. for the heart was a heavy burden, and love was a pernicious affair.

Pairing: Chopper x Motherly Y/N (Slight Zoro x Y/N)
Content: Discrimination against Straw Hats, misunderstandings, light angst, hurt/comfort, happy ending in part 2
A/n: Part 2 Here! I'm so happy and grateful for passing 200 followers! For that, we are celebrating this little one's birthday, who is also mine and Zoro's child. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did writing this! <3
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
Happy Birthday to my Little Raccoon Dog!
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
Even though you were new to the Straw Hat Pirates, there was one member that you had quickly grown close to.
The adorable doctor of the ship: Tony Tony Chopper.
Due to the fact that you are naturally capable of manipulating water without eating a devil fruit, you have suffered a lot of injuries trying to control the sea as a result.
Which meant a lot of visits to the doctor's office, which was great for the both of you. You healed quicker and Chopper had the chance to test out some medicine on you as well as get special plants from the ocean.
Nami would say that you two were two peas in a pod, which would confused Chopper and ask you to explain what it means to him.
You often attended to Chopper's needs, acting like a mother or older sister figure towards him. You would make sure he was eating properly and scold him if he was being reckless.
Chopper would often confide in you, as he knew that you would be able to provide him with the understanding and care he needed.
The crew had just arrived at a new island: even though the crew had been to many weird islands, this one was in the top ranks.
Apparently the whole island thought that they were in the year 1890, their dressing completely different compared to the crews clothes, all of us receiving stares especially towards Nami, Franky and Brook.
"Why is she wearing hardly any clothes?" "Is she not ashamed?" "She must be a slut,"
Listening for only a second, you quickly drapped your coat over her shoulders, staring back at the civilians. Nami looked self-conscious, which was never the case. Ever.
Luffy didn't even know half of the words that were said but seeing Nami's reaction made him boil in anger. Fortunately Franky caught on and closed Luffy's mouth before he would start yelling at the citizens.
"Let me go!" Luffy tried to say but Franky whispered something which kept him quiet for the meanwhile.
After a while, the mayor finally revealed himself to them, demanding why pirates were coming to 'terrorize' this island.
The calmest of the crew, Nico Robin, stepped forward and tried to explain herself but the mayor wasn't calm enough to be reasonable.
"Liar! Pirates are never to be trusted!" The mayor stated, looking for the residents to make the scene bigger.
"Mr. Mayor," Robin started, her voice unrecognisable as the rest of her words were whispered but it seemed to have made an impression on the leader.
"Oh- Okay, you have until tomorrow night to get out of here," The mayor said, trying to mask his fear with a fake confidence.
Robin turned around with a smile, pleased with her work.
"Let's go back to the ship to figure out a plan," She said and we quickly agreed, a path was given back to the ship in an instant. . . .

Chopper had been walking with his crew members through the town aware of the stares that he was receiving but it didn't affect him as much.
He had grown accustomed to the curious gazes and judgmental whispers that followed him wherever he went. He knew that being different was part of his identity as a reindeer with human-like abilities, and he had learned to embrace it.
"Mother! Please help me!"
Chopper's ears perked up amidst the noise of the town, and he quickly turned his head towards the desperate cry for help. Despite the stares and whispers, his compassionate nature couldn't ignore the plea of a child in need.
With a determined stride, Chopper followed the voice, ready to lend a helping hand.
I'll be back soon guys.
Navigating through the crowd, Chopper's hooves barely made a sound as he closed in on the source of distress. The echoes of the child's sobs grew louder, tugging at his heartstrings and fueling his determination to bring solace and assistance.
"Shut up little child!" "Stop crying!"
Chopper witnessed something terrifying: two drunk men beating up a child. His instincts kicked in, eating a Rumble ball to be in the Horn Point form as he rushed forward, using his strong antlers to fend off the attackers and protect the defenseless child.
With the attackers quickly defeated, Chopper's attention shifted entirely to the frightened child.
He turned into his Brain Point form before kneeling down beside them, he offered a gentle smile and reassurance.
"What's your name?" Chopper asked softly, his voice filled with genuine concern.
The child sniffed and looked up at him, their eyes wide with fear. "M-Mark," they stammered, their voice trembling.
Chopper nodded, his heart swelling with a mix of compassion and determination. "Don't worry, Mark. You're safe now. Are you hurt anywhere?"
Mark shook his head, realizing that Chopper was not a threat. Grateful tears welled up in Mark's eyes as he whispered, "Thank you. I'm just scared, but I'm not hurt."
"Mark! Baby! Where did you go!?"
Chopper's ears perked up at the sound of the female voice, and he turned his head to see a woman frantically searching for Mark.
With a reassuring smile, he gestured towards the child and said, "Don't worry, I found him. He's safe with me."
"Thank you so much! I was so worried," the woman said, tears of relief streaming down her face as she embraced her child tightly.
"Come on, Mark, we have to go meet up with your father," she said, grabbing his hand and dragging him away.
As Chopper watched them walk out of the alleyway, he noticed that there were more women with their sons walking in the same direction at the same time.
It was a peculiar sight, but Chopper understood that he couldn't judge their traditions or the reasons behind their actions.
Maybe it was Mother's day? Or a mother and son bonding day for the island?
Suddenly Mark looked back, his eyes filled with terror instead of gratitude.
It was clear that the woman claiming to be his mother was not who she seemed.
Though before he could do anything about it, he felt something make contact with his head, knocking him out. Darkness consumed Chopper as he lost consciousness, unaware of the danger that awaited him. . . .
Tumblr media
It has been 2 hours since Chopper had gone missing and you really started to worry. You couldn't help but imagine all the possible dangers he could be facing out there alone in the dark, and the thought made your heart sink.
Even though Luffy said he would be alright, you couldn't help yourself from envisioning Chopper in dangerous situations. Thoughts of him being chased by predators or getting lost in unfamiliar territory consumed your mind, causing your anxiety to intensify.
"He's going to be alright," a voice said behind you, making you jump.
You turned around to see Zoro standing there, a reassuring smile on his face. "Chopper is resourceful and has survived countless dangers before."
"I know but I can't help but worry," you said, your voice trembling with concern. "I know Chopper is resourceful, but what if this time is different? What if he's in real danger?"
Zoro's smile faded slightly, but he placed a comforting hand on your shoulder. "He's tough remember, he's part of this crew for a reason,"
You nodded, staring out towards the island from where they were docked, and tried to find solace in Zoro's words. Deep down, you knew he was right. Chopper had always managed to find his way back to the crew, no matter how dire the circumstances.
Your heart still ached with worry, but you held onto the hope that Chopper's resilience would once again lead him safely back to the Sunny.
Without saying anything, you saw Zoro hand you a bottle of sake and you accepted it, taking a large gulp of it. As the warm liquid burned its way down your throat, you felt a sense of temporary relief wash over you.
"I've been meaning to ask, why do you act so motherly towards Chopper?" Zoro asked curiously, breaking the silence.
You paused for a moment, contemplating his question. "I guess it's because I see a bit of myself in him," you replied. "I know what it's like to feel scared and alone, and I just want to protect him like I wish someone had protected me."
Zoro nodded understandingly, his gaze softening. "Well, he's lucky to have you looking out for him," he said sincerely.
"Since we're asking questions, why do you act so fatherly towards Chopper?" you said, turning to face him.
There was hardly any space between the both of us since you were sitting close to him but you didn't care. Zoro, however, seemed taken aback by your question, his cheeks turning red and his eyes widening in surprise.
After a moment of hesitation, he finally replied, "I guess it's because I see him as a younger brother?"
"Is that all?"
"No," he muttered, his eyes flickering from your eyes to your lips. "It's not just that. I care about him, just like I care about you."
His words hung in the air, and you felt your heart skip a beat at the unexpected confession.
"Well, I guess that makes you the overprotective dad and me the overly concerned mom of Tony Tony Chopper," you chuckled, trying to lighten the mood.
Zoro's cheeks turned even redder, but a smile tugged at the corners of his lips.
"Yeah, he's lucky to have us as his parents," Zoro replied, his grin growing wider.
As the tension between you and Zoro reached its peak, the air crackled with anticipation. Time seemed to stand still as his lips brushed against yours, sending an electric shock through your entire body.
The kiss was soft yet passionate, igniting a fire within you that you never knew existed. Every touch, every caress, spoke volumes of the unspoken desires that had been brewing between you. In that moment, it was as if the world faded away, leaving only the two of you, lost in a sea of euphoria and longing.
"Zoro, are you there?" The voice of Luffy was loud, enough for the both of us to back away from each other in embarrassment. The moment shattered, leaving us with flushed faces and a lingering tension that neither of us knew how to address.
"I'll go with him," Zoro said, quick to get up and leave, his sudden departure leaving you with a mix of confusion and disappointment.
You couldn't help but wonder if the intensity of the moment had scared him off or if there were other factors at play.
You couldn't help but wonder if Zoro's sudden departure meant that he didn't have romantic feelings for you. The lingering uncertainty left you questioning whether the kiss had fallen short of his expectations or if there were other reasons behind his retreat.
Was the kiss not good enough for him? It was your first kiss after all.
"Hey guys! Did you know what happened at the base?" A voice below at the dock said, capturing your interest. Curiosity piqued, you leaned over the railings of the ship to catch a glimpse of the commotion down below.
"No, I've been stuck guarding the area."
"Well I heard that the pet of the Straw Hats, Tony Tony Chopper was captured using our simplest trick," The male laughed, "And here I thought that they were strong!"
Your heart sank as you quickly sobered up at the mention of Chopper's capture. The playful moment with Zoro was instantly forgotten as a wave of worry and determination washed over you. You knew you had to find Chopper and bring him back safely, no matter the cost.
Sorry everyone, I couldn't wait any longer.
Without a second thought, you jumped off the ship and quietly followed the sound of their conversation, determined to rescue Chopper and ensure his safety.
You weren't the best at stealth, but you managed to stay hidden and follow them to their base, careful not to alert anyone of your presence.
As you approached the entrance, you couldn't help but feel a surge of adrenaline and determination, knowing that Chopper's safety depended on your next moves.
"The password?" A voice said behind the door.
"Evolution prevails," The man said confidently and in a matter of seconds, the door opened.
Right. You knew the password, now you just needed to infiltrate the base, without knowing how strong or how many they are.
Maybe you should have waited for Luffy's command.
No, Chopper needs you right now. He could be in the brink of death and you're the only one in the whole crew who knows more than just CPR.
You walked to the door and knocked twice like the previous did, saying "Evolution prevails,"
The door swung open, revealing a dimly lit corridor. As you stepped inside, the sound of faint footsteps echoed in the distance, urging you to tread carefully.
Since you were fairly new to the crew, you didn't have a wanted poster yet so it was easy to talk to people without being noticed.
"Hey old man, do you know where Tony Tony Chopper is being held?" you asked the elderly man who seemed to be drinking alone. He looked up at you, his eyes filled with a mixture of surprise and caution.
After a moment of hesitation, he leaned in closer and whispered, "You're looking for the pet of the Straw Hats? What do you want with them? Are you supposed to be guarding them?"
"Yeah, I'm new here," You muttered, holding back from sending the man flying.
"Really? Well you're in luck, you get to take care of the weakest prisoner. He's already been beaten up in the basement so you can just watch or join in with the beatings!" The old man laughed.
"Who knew that the future King of the Pirates would recruit such a useless-"
He was on the verge of finishing his sentence when his own drink flew out of his cup, forming a helmet around the top of his head and drowning himself in the alcohol.
Instantly, panic erupted in the bar as the old man desperately tried to break free from the makeshift helmet of his own drink, while the other workers looked on in shock and disbelief.
The chaotic scene caused a momentary distraction, allowing you to slip away unnoticed and continue your search for Tony Tony Chopper.
You ran through the corridors, your heart pounding with each step as the image of Chopper's injured form lingered in your mind.
The urgency pushed you forward, determined to find him before it was too late. Every passing second only fueled your anxiety, driving you to search even harder for any sign of your little reindeer.
It was then that you found a staircase going downstairs, leading you deeper into the labyrinthine prison. With each step, the air grew colder and the atmosphere more oppressive, heightening your sense of foreboding.
"Please help!" "This is hell!" "I'll pay you to let me out!"
The desperate pleas and cries for help echoed through the prison, creating an eerie chorus that sent chills down your spine. The darkness of the corridors seemed to consume the flickering lights, adding to the feeling that you had indeed descended into the depths of hell itself.
Chopper, just wait a little.
As you made it to the end of the staircase, adrenaline coursing through your veins, you wasted no time in searching every jail cell with unwavering determination. With each guard that stood in your way, you swiftly overcame them, using your water ability to ensure nothing would stop you from finding and rescuing Chopper.
The prisoners ranged from young to old, humans to animals, but all of them were beaten up and injured. Their bodies bore the marks of brutality and their faces were etched with pain and despair.
It was a grim sight that served as a constant reminder of the cruelty and suffering within the prison walls.
It was clear that he had endured unimaginable suffering, and your heart ached with a mix of anger and determination to rescue him from this hellish prison.
"Y/N?" Chopper asked in a shaky voice.
"Yes Chopper?" You answered, looking through all of the unconscious guards clothes to find a key from the cell.
"Am I really the weakest?" Chopper asked, his voice filled with self-doubt.
You looked into his eyes, filled with determination, and replied, "No, Chopper. You are strong in your own way."
After finding a key, you quickly let him out, unlocking the cell door and embracing Chopper tightly.
Feeling the warmth of his trembling body against yours, you held Chopper tightly, letting him know that he was safe now and that you would protect him with all your strength.
"I thought you guys were going to leave me here," he cried, clinging onto you, his small body shaking with relief.
"Never," you whispered, wrapping your arms around him even tighter. "I will always be there for you, Chopper. As your mother, I would never leave you."
As Chopper clung onto you, his trembling body slowly started to relax. He looked up at you with tear-filled eyes and let out a small, shaky laugh.
"Now come on, let's get back before Dad gets mad," You said, remembering the event of before.
"Dad?"
"You know, the swordsman that always carries you around," You reminded him.
Seeing his face light up made you smile. "Zoro is my dad?!"
You nodded, enjoying to see the grin on his face.
"Hey! A prisoner is escaping!" A guard yelled from a distance.
You quickly snapped back into reality, realizing the danger that lurked outside the cell.
As the guard's shout echoed through the corridor, the sound of heavy boots hitting the ground grew louder, reverberating against the cold stone walls. Each thud seemed to send shockwaves of fear through your body, reminding you of the urgent need to escape and the perilous journey that lay ahead.
"Just don't let go and let me do the rest," you instructed Chopper, tucking him closer to your chest, as you both sprinted down the dimly lit corridor, adrenaline pumping through your veins.
Your ability was very useful since the basement was basically flooded.
As you ran through the flooded basement, you summoned your power, manipulating the water to rise and swirl around you. With a flick of your wrist, you sent powerful torrents crashing into the guards, knocking them off their feet and rendering them unconscious.
Water obeyed your every command, becoming a formidable weapon that cleared your path and thwarted anyone who dared to oppose you. . . .
Tumblr media
By the time you two had made it out of the base, you were battered and bruised just like Chopper, your bodies bearing the physical scars of the fierce battle you had fought.
You breathed hard, trying to catch the breath that was knocked out of you moments ago by the doorman. The adrenaline still coursing through your veins, you glanced at Chopper and saw a worried look in his eyes.
"Y/N? Are you okay?" He asked worriedly, looking back to see if anyone was following us.
You reassured him with a faint smile, your voice filled with determination, "I'm fine, Chopper. We made it out together, and I won't let anyone harm us."
As you staggered, each step feeling heavier than the last, you kept your eyes set on the sea shore, where your crew members would be waiting for you in worry.
What would they think of you? Will they be disappointed when they see you because you disobeyed your captain's orders? Will they kick you out of the crew? Will Zoro, Luffy's first mate, hate you?
As you struggled to stay on your feet, the waves crashing against the shore seemed to grow louder. Chopper's worried face blurred in and out of focus, and before you could answer his question, darkness enveloped you, and you succumbed to unconsciousness.
"Y/N! Y/N please get up! If we get to the ship, I can use my medicine to heal you so stay awake until then!" Chopper said, panicked.
"Please, mom," you heard the distress in his voice as Chopper pleaded for you to stay conscious.
The sound of his worry cut through the darkness that surrounded you, urging you to fight against the pull of unconsciousness and make it to the ship where he could treat your injuries. . . .

saw you wanted people to send you opla zoro requests so I have one for you :)) may I request a opla zoro x fem reader where the reader maybe assumes that zoro and nami have something going on (yk that one scene where they're playing the drinking game and that chemistry they had) so she distances herself from zoro thinking he doesn't like her back when he does? I would really like some good old angst but ending it with fluff. (Maybe Zoro and the reader have an argument) Thank you so much!

"Jealousy is not a good look on you."
You whipped your head around to see Usopp looking back at you, flashing a knowing smirk.
"What can I say, I'm an envious person." You shrugged nonchalantly.
Usopp made his way to stand next to you copying your stance of resting on the railing.
"It's not like it will have any affect, they both clearly have their own thing going on." You gestured glumly to Zoro and Nami who stood laughing amongst themselves.
What was she saying that was so funny anyway? You could make Zoro laugh more.
"Why don't you just tell him how you feel?" Oh, Usopp.
You sighed and forced your gaze away from Zoro. "It's not that easy."
Tumblr media
Though Zoro was a quiet person, that didn't mean he wasn't observant.
He'd noticed you'd been trying to avoid him, which was hard considering you lived on the same ship as him, and were on the same crew.
Zoro left it for a while, deciding not to speak up because he thought it was just a phase you were going through.
He took notice of your lingering looks when he spoke with Nami, but the thought of jealousy never crossed his mind.
Tumblr media
Zoro wasn't the only observant member of the crew, Sanji and Nami noticed something was wrong with you.
Nami, Sanji and Zoro sat out on the deck underneath Nami's tiny tangerine trees.
Sanji took a puff of his cigarette before filling the silence. "Don't you think Y/n's been acting weird lately?"
Nami looked up from the map she was reading. "Yeah, I've noticed a little bit of tension." She swiftly looked at Zoro and back at Sanji.
"I saw that look." Zoro said bluntly.
Of course, Nami played dumb. "What look?"
"The one you just gave me."
Sanji huffed and shook his head. "Don't you think we should find out? She's our friend."
Both Zoro and Nami nodded.
Tumblr media
Both Sanji and Nami tried so hard to get you to open up by pairing you with Zoro for various activities or jobs.
The plan worked for a while, you and Zoro would sit and chat for hours, only when Nami came would you go back to brooding.
Usopp seemed to catch on to Nami and Sanji's plan and told them of your feelings for Zoro and why you would slump every time Nami was around.
Zoro had his own suspicions of your strange behaviour, and decided he would confront you when the others weren't around.
Tumblr media
Sighing, you knelt on the railing, gazing upon the vast blue sea.
"Can't sleep?" A deep voice interrupted the tranquil silence, but it was Zoro, so you didn't mind.
"Hmm, what about you?" You turned so you were facing him.
"Too much drink."
Both of you chuckled and your gaze returned to the horizon.
"I've...noticed" Zoro didn't plan exactly what he would say to you, so go with the flow it is. "You've been avoiding me."
"I haven't-"
"Is the problem with me or is it with Nami? Because every time she comes around, you start acting weird and-"
"Because I'm jealous!"
You didn't want to say anything else, so you let him stood there, just him and the stars to talk to.
Tumblr media
Ever since that night, you'd been avoiding Zoro even more, almost as if you were afraid you'd catch the plague from him.
None of the crew knew what to do, and it wouldn't help that Zoro wouldn't explain why your behavior had gotten worse, even though they knew he knew something.
This was a job for Luffy.
Tumblr media
Luffy found you on the goat head of the Going Merry, making his way over to sit with you.
"Are you alright?"
You turned with surprise, not expecting Luffy. "oh, hey Cap."
"Expecting someone else?" He gave you a dopey smile, adjusting his straw hat.
You shook your head.
"So, what's up with you?"
You huffed, but you could trust Luffy with everything, why not just admit it?
"I told Zoro I was jealous."
"Of?"
You took a minute to go over the thoughts in your head. "Of him and Nami. They're always laughing together and talking. I mean, me and Zoro would do that, but when he's with Nami it just looks..."
"Different?"
"Yeah..."
Luffy knew why you were jealous. "You should tell him how you feel."
Yeah, maybe you should.
Tumblr media
"Hey Zoro." You approached him sheepishly.
His eyes widened just a little before greeting you in return.
"So, I came to apologise."
You took in his appearance before remembering why you were actually there.
"I'm sorry. You deserve to know. I was jealous of you and Nami. You both look so happy together and I wanted to be the one to make you smile and laugh like that. Because, unfortunately for me, I've fallen in love with you. And it's okay if you don't feel the same way, I'll understand and we can go back to our normal lives. But I needed you to know."
Instead of interrupting you, Zoro decided to stand and listen, to let you voice your feelings.
When you finished, you stood and gaped at him. Tears were brimming and your cheeks were aflame.
"I'm not good with words." Zoro admitted just a little embarrassed. "But...maybe my actions could help?"
He grabbed your face gently, caressing the redness of your cheeks with such tender strokes you could've melted.
It was when he pressed his lips to yours that your heart finally felt complete, and the weight of jealousy was lifted from your shoulders.
You both didn't say that you had feelings for the other, the serene kiss voiced everything it needed to.

Modern Shanks x Addie would be the couple raking in the money on onlyfans as a side hustle.
Modern Zoro x Addie he doesn’t trust it enough to make content with her, but he’s 100% “Addie can do what she wants because I can fight. End of the day I’m the one she’s fucking.”
Modern Ace x Addie is in the middle. Sometimes Ace shows up, otherwise he’s ready to throw hands with anyone who tries to talk shit

What if... (Roronoa Zoro x OC)
A/N: I haven’t watched a lot of One Piece yet, but I really enjoy Zoro, Sanji, and Law. This scene is mainly written based off of two writing prompt ideas from Tik Tok 1. Start a poem with What if and 2. Write a scene with little to no dialogue so that the audience can see how your characters interact with one another alone. This scene takes place after a vague battle where Zoro might have gotten hurt and Pearl is now cleaning him up. I hope you guys enjoy, if you do then I’ll write more about Pearl. Pearl uses She/her and They/Them pronouns. This scene was also written by her (She is one of our alters in our system) and this memory took place in her source memories.

What if I told you
What feelings bubble within my chest
When we sit here in silence Would you think I’m a mess?
The waters of the east blue were calm with only a small wave lapping against the side of the ship while it sat at the docks of the port they were currently in. The sunny was mostly quiet and empty as most of the straw hats were either asleep below deck or in the port town. They would collect items that were wanted or needed before the crew would head off on their next adventure.
Thankfully they were getting this time to lick their wounds after the last battle that they had faced. Most of the crew had gotten beaten and bruised, something they were all pretty used to at this point.
Zoro liked the quietness of the calm night. It wasn’t that he didn’t love his crew, but sometimes he needed a rest from their antics. After sustaining a few pretty painful injuries from the latest battle, he was thankful to have the main deck to himself. There was maybe only one person who’s company would make this calm night better for him. Pearl.
He knew he had seen her on the ship not long before he had come up to the main deck. Maybe she was asleep? No…they had bad insomnia, he knew that too. Memories of trying his best to comfort them into sleep came back to him and a small smile cracked onto his lips.
What if I took your hand in mine Would you let it fall Or would you hold it in return When the thudding of my heart calls
He was brought out of his musings when he heard the sound of some of the deck boards creaking behind him. The familiar scent, his new favorite scent, of fresh flowers wafted to his nose. He didn’t have to turn around to know who had wrapped their chubby arms around his middle for a hug. He only winced a little as he didn’t want to scare her or worry her, within moments he relaxed in her hold.
Zoro turned around and wrapped his arms around her chubby frame in a loving manner and then he rested his chin atop her wild, orangish curls. He closed his eyes for a moment and burrowed his nose into the springy curls he had come to love so much, a deep hum escaped him.
The moment was cut short when a nasty cut on his right arm brushed against her and he gritted his teeth. Pearl felt the swordsman’s body tense up and instantly remembered what she was originally here to do. She pulled back gently and looked up at him with worried eyes. She also looked a bit tired and worn like himself.
What if I asked you to dance
Step by step to the beat of a soft song The world around us being left behind As we focused on each other all night long
Zoro realized that with their tired state they must be feeling non verbal at this moment. By now the swordsman knew the botanist well enough to know exactly what she needed during these moments just by studying her demeanor or being observant. He knew he couldn’t say that when they had first met and he accidentally had intimidated her. He remembered that long week of getting them to speak to him, showing her that she could trust him.
He noticed the medical kit she had set by her feet. Normally he wasn’t one to accept help, especially with injuries. He knew better to argue with Pearl though. They were stubborn when it came to caring for their friends and loved ones. She was the only one he would allow to give him medical attention with the exception of Chopper.
Zoro nodded softly in understanding and then he softly lifted her into his arms and sat down on the deck so that they could both be more comfortable. Pearl was a blushing mess as she realized she was sitting on his lap, almost straddling it. She shyly turned to grab the medical kit that Chopper had given her and then she looked into Zoro’s soft gray eyes.
Before she opened the kit, she leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to the scar that ran along his right eye. She then gestured to his arm that had the gash on it. Zoro complied and held up his arm for them to inspect. They then took out a bottle of cleansing alcohol and two clean cloths. Pearl then held out the first one knowing fully well that Zoro would most likely bite down on it while she worked to keep from screaming.
What if I got hurt I would do it to protect you Your life is precious my dear Don’t you dare shed a tear
They poured some of the alcohol onto the other cloth and delicately took his injured arm into her smaller hands. She then wiped off the dried blood before touching the cloth to the opening of the gash. They earned a hiss from the man beneath them and gave him an apologetic look. She then continued and took care to not hurt him further as she cleaned. Once the gash was clean she pulled out a fresh roll of bandages from the medical kit and began to wrap his arm.
Once the pain had subsided, Zoro became entranced by the girl sitting on his lap. He always found himself entranced by her even in mundaneness like this. Their curls reminded him of a beautiful sun rise he would wake up to upon the ocean horizon. Her eyes were the color of his favorite robes and full of life. He especially loved when he caught a hint of mischief in them. Their face was dotted by so many freckles that he vowed to himself he would count them all one day.
He was brought out of his thoughts again when he heard a small giggle come from her. He smirked a little and leaned in to kiss her forehead. A chuckle escaped him as he saw the warm blush bloom across her cheeks. She did her best to distract herself again as she moved to clean some of his other smaller cuts on his face, neck, and chest area. That was another thing that entranced him, their blush. It was a sight because it spread quickly across their cheeks and it was beautiful to him because he knew he was one of the only ones who could cause it.
What if I told you
That you are the owner of my heart Would you love me back
Would a flame between us start?
They finished with ease and without further pain from the swordsman who now wrapped his arms around their fluffy waist. He then buried his face in the crook of her neck and allowed her scent of flowers and plant life greet his nose. He let out a tired sigh and planted a kiss on her shoulder. This got a shiver out of them as they closed the medical kit and set it to the side. She closed her eyes and softly wrapped her arms around his neck. Their fingers gently carded through his green hair, their lips planting a kiss to his temple.
“I love you sweetheart” Zoro finally mumbled as he held her close to him.
After a moment Pearl mustered up the energy and softly said “I love you too Roronoa” before resting her forehead on his shoulder. Her body calmed in his embrace and soon she was at peace in his arms. Once again the only sounds that could be heard was the sound of the ocean waves and their breathing. There the two fell asleep like this, needing it after a long, hard day.
