I'm throwing this out here because I popped off with this art really hard and really liked how it came out
Tumblr media
I swearrrrr that I'll go into this in more detail with proper art and maybe an animatic but as quick as an explanation I can muster, at around the au's version of mid-season two (in between any sport in a storm and reaching out) Pip does end up having to leave the Owl House gang because Hunter finally managed to capture him completely by surprise because Pip let his guard down to who he just assumed was only Willow's and Gus's new flyer derby friend.
When Pip finally reaches the castle he stays there for a while to scope out the place and figure out a full proof escape route but he ends up caught in between a rock and a hard place before he could even think of a plan because he finds out that Eda is set to be put to be captured and petrified for the false crime of kidnapping the heir.
This causes Pip who's already extremely traumatised from the first petrification attempt and doesn't want to see Eda hurt again attempts to completely avoid that by striking up a deal with Belos.
This sort of works but it isn't in Pips favour at all because Belos had decided to pardon Eda (only to keep Pip from escaping again though), Pip can no longer even be out of Hunters sight or go out of the castle without Hunter's or a scouts supervision and if Eda approaches again she will be put to be petrifed immediately
So the deal goes completely out the window the moment that Eda finds out that one of her kids got kidnapped and so she and Luz (she wasn't supposed to join along but couldn't take no for an answer) busts into the castle to steal Pip right back.... which ends terribly to say the least.
Even though things went well at first, they do manage to almost escape with Pip until Belos who's at this point kinda done with his clone running away all the time decides to intervene personally rather than sending out the scouts
Eda goes full mother owl mode and does end up fighting Belos which I can imagine was a pretty epic battle
Tumblr media
Eda vs Belos colourised (2020) /j
no idea who was winning until the end of the fight but one things for certain is that it goes completely south for Eda towards because Luz and Pip end up in the crossfire, Pip gets hurt badly and almost loses his eye (hence the gnarly scar across his face in the drawing) because he pushed Luz out of the away from a magic spike growing from the ground, so Eda gets distracted and petrified.
Before Eda fully becomes stone she makes both of them promise to escape, thanks them and asks them to take care of themselves, Hooty and King for her... Neither Luz or Pip handle this well but don't have enough time to even properly processes and so Pip who's slightly more functional than Luz who's completely dissociating at this point quickly grabs Luz and escapes on Owlbert but Pip gets yoinked by Belos mid way and Luz ends up escaping by herself.......
At this point Pip is planning on committing regicide and is only stopped because he ends up forcibly having to drink that brainwash juice before he could do anything
Brainwashed Pip mostly can't remember what's that's happened to him except for a few fake memories that got implanted in that paints wild witches in a really bad light and so after being explained a obviously completely untrue story by Belos he believes that he's suffering huge memory loss because he was brainwashed by wild witches and that magic is fading away.
Pip also just loses most of his personality except for his sense of justice which gets extremely twisted, he just becomes extremely detached and cold as well (but he does thaw slightly with specific people but doesn't understand why *coughs* ᴺᶦᵐᵇᵘˢ *coughs even harder* ᵗʰᵉ ᵖᵒʷᵉʳ ᵒᶠ ᵍᵃʸ ᶦˢ ᵗᵒᵒ ˢᵗʳᵒⁿᵍ.)
anyways that was longer than I thought it would be, soz for that lol
and even more longer than this is the GH masterpost link

Hi Krav, I have a question regarding your Little Lamb AU.
Does Eda know Luz is the princess? From what I interpreted she doesn't, and I really want to know what her reaction would be when she eventually finds out. Speaking of, just how will she find out? Will Luz come clean and tell her of her own accord, or will she be forced to? Will Lillith reveal Luz's identity and try to bring her back? Ooh that could result in your AUs version of YBOS' climax!
you're 100% right about luz's identity playing a part in this AU's version of the season 1 finale. i dont have the details planned out but i'll at least explain my idea of how eda finds out (i wanted to make it into a comic but uhhhhh i burnt out on drawing again whoops)
belos sorta protected luz's identity as she grew up as part of his whole "keep the lamb pure" thing so there's like, never any pictures of her anywhere. for luz's birthday every year the official emperor's coven penstagram account just posts the same pictures of her when she had her coronation ceremony and you wouldn't exactly recognize someone in person if you'd only ever seen grainy pictures of them as a five year old.
also, luz purposefully keeps it a secret for a long time. she doesn't want to be treated different just because she happens to be the princess!!! she's tired of it!!! she just wants to be a normal witch and learn magic!!! at first she tries to hide that she's human too but that's a bit harder and also, similarly to canon, no one really... gives a shit? everyone just shrugs it off except gus & boscha (and those two care abt it for VERY different reasons.)
at some point around the end of season 1, belos finds out from SOMEONE (torn between kikimora, lilith, & hunter) that luz is apparently masquerading as a student of hexside & living with the owl lady while learning wild magic from her.
belos, who had legit thought luz had just like gotten lost or kidnapped for ransom or something, obviously looses his fucking mind. outwardly, he's like "oh no the owl lady's kidnapped the princess!!" but he 100% knows what the fuck she's up to.
so he decides to just say fuck it and makes a whole ass national announcement that the princess has been kidnapped by wild witches as a form of revenge against belos & that the titan calls on all citizens to help aid him in finding her & bringing her home.
he includes an updated picture of her along with her full ass government name and broadcasts it to every phone & crystal ball across the isles.
this, obviously, fucks luz up severely because not only does everyone know who she was, she's also putting anyone close to her in direct danger bcus the emperor wants her so badly.
eda is eda over it. she doesn't fucking care. she's mostly just concerned about luz, who saw the broadcast at school and ran home in tears and didnt even pause before running up the stairs and locking herself in her room. eda doesnt treat her differently and she comforts luz by being like "eh im already public enemy #1 this doesnt make much a difference to me"
actually, i think it will be lillith who reveals to the emperor that luz is with eda... but not on purpose. i think that lilith and luz never knew each other and she just reported back to the emperor about her quest to capture eda and was just like "oh yeah she's got this human apprentice now-- she's named luz or something" and then belos would crack his neck from looking down at lilith so fast

What I Thought About "Thanks to Them"
Salutations, random people on the internet who are already scrolling past this! I am an Ordinary Schmuck. I write stories and reviews and draw comics and cartoons.
When it was announced that The Owl House's third season would get cut short to three hour-long specials, the fans fought as hard as they could to rectify this insane mistake. And...I really hate how I wasn't surprised.
I've seen this before. There have been many instances when a studio decided on something fans didn't like, and those fans did everything they could to fight back against it. The problem is that the fans rarely win, and it'll take a gosh dang miracle to make a studio change its mind about something. Studios don't care about how badly the fans want something or about a creator's vision. All studios care about is how much money they can make off a product. And it seemed The Owl House didn't have as big of a number as Disney's other shows at the time. It's an unfortunate pill to swallow, but that doesn't mean the situation is hopeless.
There are competent writers out there that, when given restraint, try to roll with the punches and still push out something amazing. Believe it or not, what happened to The Owl House is the best-case scenario, as the writers were told ahead of time what their situation would be, giving them the chance to adjust and make as satisfying of an ending as possible. And if you ask me, I have absolute faith that they'll be able to pull it off. The Owl House isn't my favorite show at the moment for nothing. The writers are outstanding, and the final product of Season Two proves that they know how to tell an overarching story while still giving the characters and the audience the time they need to breathe. The question is, did "Thanks to Them" reinforce this faith? Well, let's find out together, shall we?
SPOILERS BELOW
WHAT I LIKED
Starting Where the Last Season Ended: This was the best decision. The events of the finale are too big of a thing to gloss over immediately by starting with a time skip of them already working hard on getting home. Continuing the story right after the last season left things off works because the characters are allowed some time to establish this new normal and get started on their mission. While putting out some...issues.
Luz and Hunter’s Guilt: I'm still a little iffy on Hunter's guilt, mainly because I don't see him as the victim here, but I understand what Luz's going through. What happened isn't her fault either, as Belos could have tricked anyone instead of her, but I can see how she can believe it's her fault. Even though it could have been anyone else, Luz is still the one Belos tricked in the end, and her pain of knowing that she inadvertently caused so much damage is well within reason. So I'm glad Luz has Hunter with her to share some of the pain. If you think these two were siblings before, you'll get a kick at watching them bond over shared fears and anxieties, being each other's support and reassurance that things are going to be ok. Luz adds more to that last part (because, of course, she does), but it's still sweet seeing them go through this together. It makes their relationship grow stronger and more compelling, and I hope we get just the briefest moments between these two in the future. And I'll go over each character individually, but there are just a few things I want to get out of the way first.
Starting with a character who deserves way more love.
Camila: IF I SEE ONE MORE MOTHER F**KER CALLING CAMILA A BAD MOM AFTER THIS, I'M GOING TO LOSE IT!
Let me break down what this woman does for the dumb dumbs in the back:
Upon seeing these four new kids without a home or anywhere else to go, she doesn't hesitate to insist that they can live with her and Luz until they find a way back. Even if she doesn't entirely understand how they function and is a little freaked out by certain antics.
When Luz came out to her, Camila pulled her and Amity in for a loving hug, and Camila started to wear a pride pin throughout the rest of the special, an extra cherry on that sweet sundae.
Upon seeing Vee in her new form, Camila ran toward her daughter with just as much pride as she did when Luz came out.
She looked at Luz's quirkiness and antics with pride, and if anybody had the AUDACITY to call her daughter a freak, Camila was more than ready to throw hands.
Once she finds out that Luz is planning on staying in the human realm, which is what Camila wanted once she realizes where Luz was during the summer, Camila refuses to let that happen. Back in "Yesterday's Lie," Camila didn't know the context of why Luz wanted to stay. Now, she does. The context has been living with her for months. And they helped her understand why Luz loves the Boiling Isles so much and how it's more of a home than the Human Realm.
The woman even jumped into a dirty graveyard pond to save our precious boy Hunter!
The one misstep she might have made was going through her daughter's journal, but, like...what parent hasn't done that? If you think your secrets are safe, they're not. And they never will be. Just accept that right now.
Is Camila a perfect mom? No. No parent is perfect, as there will be mistakes no matter how good you try to be. And if your takeaway from "Thanks to Them" is still about how Camila's a bad mom, despite all the kind-hearted things she does for her baby and her friends, you're an idiot. There's no other way around it. You are an idiot who doesn't understand good parenting if it slaps you in the face. And I'm only partially joking about that.
Alright, now that I've got that rant out of the way, let's keep things chugging along.
The Montages: There are two prominent montages in this special, the first showing us what Luz and Co. have been up to the past few months and the second detailing the antics Vee and Luz's friends went through in finding the secrets of the puzzle they found. And this was another perfect decision on the writer's part. The Owl House's third season has a similar plot to Amphibia's, only that the writers are working with a third (Ha) of the run-time that Matt Braly and his team did. This means they'll have to speedrun through the same story beats Amphibia had while still providing a satisfying final product. So, seeing the characters adjust to the new environment is relegated to montages instead of dedicating entire episodes (and wasting time) of them going on a wacky adventure in the human realm. And I'm ok with that. This idea of keeping things moving forward but delivering the briefest of cute character moments makes The Owl House more different (and better) than Amphibia. While Amphibia will grind its stories and narratives to a halt so we can have a filler episode dedicated to stuff like Sprig being a superhero, The Owl House keeps things going while working these character moments in with the story. It's a reason why I think people get too bent out of shape when shows don't have filler episodes anymore. Yeah, I get that some of them can be fun when done right, but that doesn't mean characters can't grow without them. Maybe Luz coming out to her mom or the characters meeting giraffes would have made great episodes, but I'm not losing sleep over getting a few seconds instead. Besides, while "Thanks to Them" is still continuing the story, that doesn't mean it can't stand out on its own as something spectacular.
Or should I say spooktacular...?
It’s a Halloween Special: And I love that. I love that despite the writers having less time, they still went out of their way to deliver the one holiday special this series is perfect for while continuing the story. They just added the fun, filler-like stuff with it (see what I mean?). As for how well it works as a Halloween special...it's pretty good. Some solid imagery feeds into the spooky season with some creepy stuff that should be enough to scare the kids watching. Heck, maybe some adults might get creeped out given some body horror that happens later...and yes, we'll get into that...but first, let's talk about something wholesome.
I need something wholesome.
OH, MY GOODNESS, DO I NEED SOMETHING WHOLESOME!
The Kids Learning Spanish: You'll do.
This was sweet, by the way. It shows us just how much these kids care about Luz and Camila by putting in the effort to speak a language that they mastered. It's a small thing, but it fills up my heart.
(Also, that demonic Duolingo is perfect as an in-joke for the fandom. If you know, you know)
They Painted Hooty on the Door: This, on the other hand, is both funny and kind of tragic. Like, the kids miss the Boiling Isles so much that a reference to Hooty gives them comfort.
Hooty!
Man, they really need to find a way to get back home...
The Kids Finding a Way to Get Back Home: Oh...that was fast. But not too convenient. It's heavily implied that the house the kids set themselves up in used to belong to Philip and Caleb (or something like that), so it's not too hard to believe that the kids find their first real clue there.
As for the others leaving Luz out on the search, this does bring up my friend's complaint about how Luz doesn't have much agency as her friends. And, yeah, I can see that frustration. Luz doesn't get to do much in this special, with the most crucial story-driven moments going to the others. Luz is the main protagonist, and she should be able to do more than...relatively nothing. However, it does make sense in context. Luz is currently not in the right mindset and is going through a lot, so her friends are doing their part to chase a lead, wanting to surprise Luz with a win instead of letting her down with another failure. It's her friends' way of paying back all the kindness Luz has done for them by going just as above and beyond as she would in completing a task. It has the unfortunate side effect of letting Luz have little importance, but I wouldn't call it bad writing. Just...a slight mishandling of characters.
Besides, while Luz doesn't do much to advance the story, she adds a lot when it comes to character development.
Luz: This is the most development Luz has gotten through the whole series. Luz is weighed down by her guilt over accidentally helping Belos to the point where she believes things would be better if she never existed. That...hurts. It hurts a lot to see Luz think this way. And it hurts even more to see her heart not being in it when acting like her usual self. When Luz smiles, it never reaches her eyes. When she says something lighthearted and goofy, it almost sounds as if she's empty inside. This experience changed her, and it makes sense. To Luz, she caused so much damage that is unable to fix it for months. It makes sense why she's so emotionally numb throughout the special because...how would you react to all that? Something tells me it wouldn't be great.
This special also gave us more insight into Luz's life before the Boiling Isles. We get to see how isolated she feels, how miserable she is being in a world that doesn't understand her, and even why she loves The Good Witch Azura. We get bits and pieces of that in the past, but this is the first time it's a central focus, and that's great. We know a lot about Luz's friends and family but don't know much about her. So to finally get something about Luz is spectacular. If you ask me, having her go through the most development is a fair trade to her not having much agency in the first part of a three-part finale (besides, we've got two more parts to go through).
Although, she's not the only one going through a lot this special.
Hunter: Next to Luz, Hunter might be the one who grew the most in "Thanks to Them." He gets a hobby that allows him to find some self-expression, finds a book series that gives him comfort over his anxieties, and ends up crying tears of joy when he realizes he's part of a kind, loving family. Again, "Thanks to Them" worked all these great character moments into the story while still moving things along. Seriously, take notes, Amphibia writers!
Jokes aside, it is great to see Hunter happy for the majority of an episode for once. After everything he went through (and will soon go through. We'll get to that), it warms the heart to see my boy just loving life and getting everything he could have ever hoped for...This is why it does serious emotional damage to see it soon crumble to an end. And we'll get to that...but can we go through some more nice stuff first? Please?
Cosmic Frontier: Sure, why not?
I like Cosmic Wonder primarily for the help it gives Hunter and his issues, but it's also amazing how it gives him and Gus something to bond over. It adds more to that brotherly bond they've got going on, which is sweet to see.
Also...those books obviously belonged to Camila. The way she reacted to them and the fact that she got bullied in school over something is all the proof I need. And that's also sweet because it means she's as much of a nerd as Luz, even though she has bad memories of expressing it. Plus, now that we know that Luz's father is the one that gave Luz her first Azura book, a fact that breaks my heart as much as it makes it whole, that might hint at how Camila and Manny met. The boxes in the closet imply they went to conventions together, even saving old cosplays they've made. Really shows you how much Luz takes after her folks, thus warming the heart up in the process.
Masha: Do you want to know what else warms the heart? The Owl House continuing to excel at having such casual LGBTQA+ representation.
Here, we have a character that's non-binary but embraces feminity. There's an incorrect stipulation that to be non-binary means to not conform to either male or female genders, but (as far as I can tell) that's not true. Being non-binary means that you don't identify as either male or female. How you choose to express that is up to you. But if a man can wear makeup and have long hair but still identify as male or a woman can choose to wear no makeup and shave her head but still identify as female, why can't a non-binary individual choose to wear pride nails and wear long dresses?
For The Owl House to allow a group of people to feel that seen is fantastic, and I hope this series will be remembered for years because of that reason alone.
And, hey, it looks like they might be a potential crush for Vee. Isn't that just cute...Oh, yeah, VEE!
Vee: I'm surprised with how well Vee fits into the group. She doesn't do much, but she adds a lot of cuteness and charm, and I love that there are zero issues with the fact that she's a basilisk. She's just a part of the gang, and there are no questions or hesitations about it. And that's nice. It's great to see Vee happy and loved after all the crap she went through before meeting Camila. Also...at least someone had a happy ending...unlike others...But I'm not getting into that yet! There's still the, uh, um...OH! I know!
The Tale of Brothers Whittebane: They just...put it all out there. That's the story of Caleb, Philip, and Evelyn (who's obviously a Clawthorne. I mean, come on). This story is everything we could really need to know, and it's told uniquely by having it be a sort of puppet show. Any blanks in the story we might have can only be confirmed through the background paintings found in "Hollow Mind," which the Tale of Brothers Wittebane in "Thanks to Them" adds clarity towards. Would a flashback episode work better? Most certainly, yes. But, as I've said, the writers have no choice but to speedrun through these story beats while making it serviceable. And that's what this is: Serviceable. I would love to know more, but I'm fine with where we're at.
Belos–NO! No, come on, there's gotta be something else!
Uh...Luz making a light glyph? That was cool and effectively gave me goosebumps.
"Shmuck--"
Um, uh, Luz's journal entries are neat! It's probably the best scene in the entire series, showing us exactly the kind of person Luz is and the heartbreak she learned to deal with!
"Schmuck."
And how about Luz and Amity going as Azura and Hecate?! That's something I've always wanted to see, and I got it! And I bet it made you all happy, right--
"SCHMUCK!"
...
"It's time."
...*Sighs* Yeah...yeah, let's get into it.
Belos Possessed Hunter: This...might be the worst thing Belos has ever done. And that's saying something.
Hunter was finally happy and at peace with everything. He had friends who loved him, interests that gave him something to hold on to, and a family that accepted him. The sad part is that the stuff that made Hunter happy only led to his own downfall. His love of sewing caused a hole for Belos to sneak his slimy self into. His admiration for Cosmic Frontier led to him staying behind and finding Belos in the first place. It is beyond twisted and could potentially lead Hunter to think he's not allowed to be happy if this is where it gets him. Sure, we got a cool fight scene and some decent body horror as Belos took over, but it will never change how this is an experience that will scar Hunter far more on the inside than the out. Especially considering...
Flapjack’s Death: This stings.
No, screw that. This shatters.
Flapjack, the first good thing to ever happen to Hunter and what kickstarted him learning to be loved, is...gone. He's gone, and it's all for the pettiest of reasons: Belos' resentment towards a witch his brother fell in love with. Sure, he hates magic and palismans in general, but he clearly specified that he was doing it because of how Flapjack reminded Belos of Evelyn. And he did it while using Hunter's body as a vessel, adding more damage to the poor boy.
But, if there's one good thing to take away from this, Flapjack died on his own terms. Belos cracked him, and it was unlikely Flapjack would survive anyway, but in his last moments, he spent them saving Hunter one final time. It's not the sendoff we wanted Flapjack to have, but this showcase of true loyalty proves how endearing he can be and how badly he'll be missed.
RIP, you little rascal.
...Thankfully, it doesn't take long before tragedy fades and hope rises.
The Truth Comes Out: And everything is fine.
I'm not shocked that Belos tried to throw in one last manipulation by telling the truth to Luz's friends about the mistake that she made. Nor am I surprised that their reaction was to be stunned at first, but they were quick to get over it, reassuring Luz that there's nothing to be worried about and ashamed of. And you have no idea how much relief I felt when that happened.
Lesser shows would have taken the opportunity to milk this drama far more than what it's worth, having Luz constantly blame herself while others refuse to look at her the right way ever again. Meanwhile, the writers of The Owl House said, "F**k that!" and gave Luz the instant reassurance she'll need. I'm sure she's not totally over her guilt and that we'll get bits and pieces of it in parts two and three, but I'm glad that the writers gave us all the drama they could about Luz keeping her mistake a secret without it feeling like it overstayed its welcome. It's another case of phenomenal writing in this series that was more than welcome.
(Also, Amity echoing back the words Luz said when confessing to her is beyond adorable, and I will hear nothing of the contrary)
But while this wasn't much of a surprise, what definitely was is...
Camila Deciding to Go With: I mean...yeah.
A part of me thought this might happen, but I did not expect it to come true. Still, I'm excited. I cannot wait to see Camila join the fight and kick some butt in the Boiling Isles...That or die/sacrifice herself to save her baby...I mean, if Camila's the only thing keeping Luz in the Human Realm, her death would give Luz the excuse she needs to stay in the Boiling Isles forever with her new family and home...I'm not saying I want this to happen, but it's even more of a possibility now than ever.
And I'm gonna hate myself for calling it...
WHAT I DISLIKED
Get the f**k out of here--YOU ARE NOT NEEDED!
...No, really, you're not needed. I took the one complaint I had (Luz not doing much) and weaved it into the likes so I could rationalize why it still works even though it rubbed me (and others) the wrong way.
What did you expect me to do? Break the flow so I can do something that's not necessary? What am I, an Amphibia writer?
...People probably think I hate Amphibia  due to me ragging on it even though I gave it a B- in my final verdict review. The truth is, I do like Amphibia. It's funny, Anne's character development is ten times better than Luz's, and this is a show that knows how to stick the landing when it comes to its finales. My problems are that certain ideas and decisions weren't executed well, with the primary issue being how poorly it mixed episodic storytelling with a serialized one. Other than that, it's pretty good. Check it out.
...What were we talking about? Oh, right! "Thanks to Them!"
Yeah, this is an A+ for sure.
IN CONCLUSION
"Thanks to Them" is better than anything that came out of the series so far. It proves that Season Three is going for the "less is more" approach, giving the fans everything they could want and ask for but not letting it distract from the few narratives left established. There's a voice in my brain telling me that parts two and three of this final season might not live up to expectations, but it is outclassed by the part of me that is reassured by how astonishing this season will be. I have high hopes for the future. And it's all thanks to the writers who really do know how to roll with the punches.

Asking about composition decisions in that Salem drawing
Okay so!
Tumblr media
I based it a lot on the last verse that i quoted on the post, "three voices come from the gramophone". So, three voices, three hands. Orien, Caleb and Belos
Orien and Caleb's are more in a metaphorical sense, theyre part of the truth that Salem wants to deny and keep living the lie he has been believing for the past 22 years. Caleb because he's the ortet of all the grimwalkers, which is part of why Salem started having doubts about Belos and Orien because Salem found him petrified on the knee and that kickstarted his whole downwards spiral of learning the truth. So its basically the truth holding his shoulders since he cant really deny what he knows now for too much longer
And Belos' hand is the third hand and voice, the lie he wants to believe in, to accept his hand to go back to how it was and pretend like nothing had ever happened. He wants that so badly, and Belos is "offering" that, its very tempting for him. But he cant, he's hurt, he's betrayed, he cant trust his uncle anymore after all these lies, and who knows about what else he lied about?
And that's pretty much the first time he ever stood up for himself instead of for Belos. Sadly, it didnt last much

More Camilla is Hunter’s mom now questions, assuming he would ever be able to convince the Nocedas would Jacob ever go to the demon realm? I’d imagine depending on how much he was told about Belos he’s kinda been stewing on the fact that they have the entire “human trying to protect their world against demons at any cost” and “being wildly wrong about the true nature of demons and witches” things in common and wanna learn about the Boiling Isles to prevent himself from becoming more like Belos like maybe he has a nightmare where he’s all slimy like Belos and it messes with him until he finally asks Camilla or Luz about going to the demon realm
I don't think Jacob would be QUITE self aware enough at first to draw the connections between himself and Belos, but he IS uncomfortably aware of the fact that when he needed help rescuing his brother, there was a demon on the team. He's also uncomfortably aware that other humans have treated Thomas quite badly, and his first real friend is a witch. Once the whole story of how Hunter and Thomas ended up kidnapped by Belos got out, finding out that Hunter got really roughed up like that because he was trying to protect Thomas by going with Belos was like a kick to the teeth.
At first, he'd go "Okay, well, I'm sure these guys are just Different, I mean, they've been adopted by humans, I'm sure..." and told himself he was just going to prove to himself that these guys are the exception, not the rule. The Nocedas aren't exactly PLEASED at the fact he's hanging around, but if they can get him to not be so ew against demons and witches, then that's a win, and Thomas is... not VOUCHING for him per say, but is very "for the love of god please get him out of this mindset" so. They wouldn't let him into the isles for a while, not after the fiasco that was the LAST human with "witches are bad" mentality being there, but a few witches (like Gus and other members of the Human Appreciation Society) are DELIGHTED to be emissaries/diplomats to the human realm to show this guy the delights of the demon realm.

Little vent // I swear every single Belos fan I’ve met has been racist towards me and idk what to think. I used to be in a discord server all about the wittebanes but people in there were… something. I always like talking about how Belos being a villain who thrives on bigotry is so interesting to me but I was met with responses such as
“Belos is not racist ur just dumb”
“Oh so you think Belos owns slaves?”
“Belos would never do that!”
“Sounds like ur racist towards white ppl idk”
And other hurtful things, they called me slurs too along with [other slurs meant for other races] and it was not a good time to say the least. Somebody else who loves the trans hunter headcanon talked about Belos being misogynistic and they were told to “kys” another person who headcanoned belos as trans told them that they were being transphobic [they were also trans] and that “Belos isn’t that bad of a guy” … :/ they were talking about canon Belos too. The person who brought up trans hunter in the first place got clowned on for no reason by everybody else - they really really hate hunter.
I assumed it was because of toxic Hunter stans because they’re terrifying or the way he was handled in the show? But no they hate hunter because apparently “he should’ve died over belos” these people despite claiming belos wasn’t that bad were obsessed with writing/drawing belos abusing hunter in the most horrific ways possible… You guys realize child abuse isn’t… cool right…?
Outside of this server I had been told rlly icky things - I just want to talk about Belos without becoming an apologist or sexualizing him :( Another Belos fan whom I got along with for a little bit began talking about how Belos was right? I thought it was a joke at first but they were being serious. Before I blocked him I asked him what he thought of other groups of oppressed people out of curiosity - got met with slurs as expected..
Another Belos fan, they were a minor and they were just - really really focused on how sexual they could make Belos. How badly they wanted to rail Belos and why they wanted “somebody like him irl so badly they’d die” I’m a minor too and I tried to explain to this other kid that maybe you shouldn’t do that?? They just told me I was weak lol
Idk what else to say, I’m sure there’s some normal Belos fans out but I haven’t been able to find them :( I’ve been in at least 5 wittebane servers and had similar negative interactions like the ones listed above… I only used one server as an example because the other 4 get pretty gross too… I just needed to get this off my chest

Hi! I hope you're having a nice day! could I request Hunter with a very talented healing coven s/o who's also very physically and verbally affectionate even before they start dating? Thank you so so much!! 😊
Ummmmm so I misinterpreted this ask. I hope you still like it.
~~~
Context: You meet Hunter after he got badly hurt and Belos ordered the best to come heal him. The coven head was busy on a mission so you their apprentice took their place.
~~~~~
As you follow Emperor Belos through the never-ending halls of the palace your in awe at its size and cleanliness. Emperor Coven Guards pass you as you continue to follow him and they bow out of respect. Flustered you look at the ground holding your medical kit filled with herbs and potions close. The little box makes tinking noises and you wish now more than ever it would shut up.
Following after Beloses fast pace you swallow nervously. You weren't told about who you were healing as it was top secret information. The Emperor had even made you take a witches oath of secrecy, something you'd never done before now.
Entering a room he steps aside and your surprised to see the Golden Guard. He's sitting on a bed in a room that looks oddly like a teenagers. Focusing back on your patient you hun. You'd never met Beloses right hand man personally but he was well admired through out all the covens. Everyone talked about him and you'd heard of him and seen him on various posters around town.
"Hunter we've been over this. Take off your mask and let the healer do their job." The Emperor demands as you walk closer to observe the patient.
The Golden Guard or Hunter as the Emperor called him was in his full uniform making it hard to assess whatever damage had been done. His originally pristine and white cape was black and singed. Soot clung to the fabric leaving it a spotty gray color. Looking more closely you could see under his cape there were some deep scratches on his shirt and his armor plate appeared heavily dented. The mask he was wearing that the Emperor wanted off also had some damage concerning you.
What had happened to make him end up like this? Who had he fought and why had they been so violent?
"Lord Belos I am fine. This is unneeded I can-" The Golden Guard objects to the Emperors Orders but Belos slams his staff down startling the both of you. The Emperors mask tilts and as he glances at you his dameanor changes and he calms down.
"Hunter." He scolds lightly. You swallow and take out your medical kit placing it on the floor next to the bed. Drawing a blue circle the kit opens and expands becoming much bigger and showing off all your equipment.
The Golden Guard pauses stiffening at the clinking of glass in your bag and the Emperor lecturing him before he looks away. Nodding slowly letting out a resigned sigh he reaches up and hesitantly takes off his mask. Watching him as he takes it off, you try not to flinch. This supposed super solider was a child (which might explain Beloses scolding behavior) and there was obvious scarring on his face. You had a feeling this was not the first time someone had come to heal him and that made you sick. He couldn't be much older or younger than you.
"Where does it hurt?" You question coming closer as Hunter unclasps his cape throwing it aside. He gives you an annoyed look magenta eyes staring you down distrustfully but sighing he takes off his chest plate with some difficulty before rolling up his sleeves showing deep slashes across one of his arms. He flinches and you look concerned, at both the injuries he has and the pain he seemed so used too. His eyes didn't even seem wet.
"As you can see it's his arm. But you should check his ankle and head as well. He took a nasty fall." You pause seeing Hunter flinch and frown noticing Belos hadn't left yet.
"I was asking my patient." You respond not turning away from Hunter. You couldn't believe your Emperor would send a child to do something so dangerous. You were young sure but the Healing Coven didn't require the same strenuous jobs as the Emperors Coven.
Taking off your gloves you carefully touch Hunters shoulder seeing that his clothes were slashed there too. Feeling the bone your relieved it's still in place. "Is the injury in the lower or upper arm or both? Do you feel any sudden or harsh pain when you move it?" You question observing your patient closey as you gently squeeze in different places to assess the pain. He wasn't bleeding but the slashes may scar and they were pink meaning there may be infection if you didn't act fast. You or someone else should've been called hours ago to attend to him. If he was no longer bleeding he'd let it sit.
"Lower arm. We beleive it to be a harmless cut in need of bandaging incase he begins bleeding again but there may also be a fracture. I wanted a second opinion just in case." Pausing confused at why Belos was speaking instead of Hunter you notice the Golden Guard won't look at you and he seemed scared. Easily noticing the familar pattern of abuse that you've see in many patients you squeeze his hand gently before turning to stare at the Emperor.
"... Emperor Belos I would be able to attend to him much better if you weren't watching every move I make. Please some privacy my lord." You beg hoping you hadn't just disrespected the Emperor. Although at the moment you didn't really care, you had one job as a member of the Healing Coven and you intended to do it.
Belos pauses at your boldness while Hunter visibly stiffens, making you concerned you made the wrong choice. But he straightened his posture almost immeidtaley. "Of course I apologize, I asked you to come. I'll leave you to do your work. Take your time and make sure he has the best care." Bowing the Emperor leaves giving you and Hunter some privacy. Sighing you turn back towards Hunter getting some different potions and your healing grimmore.
"..." Touching his cheek softly he pauses eyes widening. Your thumb brushes over a scratch as you look at his scars with growing concern. "Did he do this to you?" Hunter looks away and you have your answer. Frowning you nod before continuing your work. You hoped that your touch was kinder than Beloses and that someday the Golden Guard could break free of whatever bonds kept him here.
"My names (Y/N)." Hunter smiled softly and nodded before letting you work, the both of you falling into a comforting silence as you worked on healing him.

Hi going through you art tag and Im seeing the "home hunter au" and Im seeing bits and pieces so I'm wondering if you could explain it for me please?
i mean all the posts about it are tagged "home hunter au" Still it's kinda disorganized, and there's a lot of "home hunter block party" stuff that’s kind of unrelated gunking up the tag now, so yeah sure I'll do a quick summary.
Home Hunter AU: This AU takes place some time after Eclipse lake. The basics are that Hunter pisses off Belos really badly and has to run away, obtaining an injury during the fight. So, typical stuff for a runaway AU. The main point of mine though is that I don’t think Hunter is close enough to the owl house crew to want to like, stay at their place. To me it seems more likely that he’d strike out on his own. I think he’d have trouble trusting them, and even if he did trust them, the idea that he has to rely on someone for food and shelter and all that stuff, after having JUST been run out of his previous home, is terrifying.
I also use this AU to explore a lot of Hunters unresolved trauma, conflicting feelings (mostly about Belos, the nature of his friendships with the owl house crew, and his issues with self worth), and meandering personal goals. He planned to return to Belos, but after being unable to find anything good enough to give Belos to warrant his return he instead decided to research wild magic, telling himself he’d return once he figured it all out and had some ideas for curing Belos’ curse. After a while though, and a lot of conversations with Luz and Eda and Amity and the others, he kind of doesn’t want to return anymore. And though he doesn’t say it out loud, he kind of hopes Belos has forgotten about him. But that’s conflicting, because he desperately wants Belos to need and love him. That’s how it is with your abusers sometimes, though.
Anyway, Belos is looking for him, and mostly just wants to have his nephew “safe” under his control again, but we’ll get to that later haha
oh yeah and Hunter is definitely trans too, just cause I feel like it. But I haven’t really addressed that yet in like, a comic or anything.
Home Hunter Block Party: this is really just me having fun and goofing around. almost entirely pencil sketches. Mostly just people asking me to draw funny shit. It’s not really related to the main AU other than that Hunter lives in the woods due to the same situation, but none of the stuff that happens in the block party universe is part of the main Home Hunter AU.
There’s a lot of other stuff that happens in the AU, but it’s all over a bunch of posts and comics, so, I’d encourage you to just search through the tag chronologically to make sense of it.
Hope his helped and wasn’t too wordy or difficult to understand. I’m not really proof reading it, it’s too long and I have homework I should get to lmao.

I know a lot of people don't like Kikimora (Trust me I get it.) But honestly I'm starting to like her as a villain. Like Hunter, the episode showed that all the expectations that Belos has for her are taking a toll on her.
She was becoming more stressed and paranoid as the episode went on. Same reason as Hunter too. (Wanting to prove to Belos that she's useful.) She kept expecting Hunter to appear out of nowhere with the titans blood and take it to Belos first. And also taking it out on the scouts. (Telling Steve to jump over the chasm before she decided to throw him in it.)
We're also seeing that she's not even trying to hide the fact that she hates Hunter anymore. First in Hunting Palisman she was trying to murder him and make it look like an accident. Then here she wouldn't let anyone slow down even though it wasn't safe, because she wanted to get the titans blood first. Even Luz and Eda have pointed out that she must really hate him.
I hope we get more interactions with Hunter and Kikimora. I think one reason she hates him so much is because he got Lilith's job. Back in season 1 it almost seemed like Kiki and Lilith had a rivalry going on, at the very least I think Kiki was looking for a chance to get Lilith demoted or fired. And I think it's understandable that she would be upset that Belos gave the head of the coven job to his 16 year old nephew instead of her. Not to mention if Dana's drawing on Twitter of them are canon, Hunter probably went out of his way to annoy and make things harder for her.
She's also starting to become unhinged. (If she isn't already). As the episode went on she was acting more crazy. By the end she made it obvious to everyone she was more concerned about finding Hunter and fighting him. (I think her realizing He was the one she fought in Latissa is the main reason for that.) Then she was about getting the titans blood. When she found Amity and learned Hunter was actually there, she was laughing and telling everyone how she was going to get her revenge. She didn't even care about what the captain did to Amity, she was more concerned about finding Hunter.
Since she's had a bigger role this season, I think she'll eventually become a main antagonist. Not only that, but if any villain/antagonist doesn't get any kind of redemption arc and stays a full villain by the end, I think it'll be her.
Watching the season 2 intro, seeing how angry she was when her card flipped, I'm sure we'll see her like that before the season's over. Most likely when she finally snaps and tries to attack/kill Hunter herself. (I wonder how well that'll go over with Belos if he does find out she's been trying to kill him.)
It's a bit ironic that Belos treats her and Hunter so badly, and yet they consider each other rivals and trying to prove to Belos they're more useful than the other.
I hope we learn more about Kikimora as a person and what her motivations are. How old is she? How long has she known Belos/what's her past? Is she really loyal to Belos or does she want to overthrow him and be the one in charge? I understand why people hate Kikimora, but I think she has potential of being a great villain for the show. And I honestly hope the show uses her more.

Ok no one else is saying it so I will: the fact that Lilith in Wing it Like Witches basically had a mental breakdown over losing the grugeby match and having to go back to the Emperor empty-handed really makes me wonder what kinda fucked up stuff Belos might do to Lilith. I mean it's already implied that he's abusive to her so I wouldn't be surprised if she was getting severe undeserved punishments for not bringing Eda back.
Honestly, I suspect Lilith is just highly sensitive to failure in general… I wouldn’t be surprised if she was harshly punished for every mistake she made as a child, given the comparisons of the Coven System to the American school system- And if Lilith is neurodivergent just as Luz, Eda, and Amity are coded to be, then it’d hit even harder for her. So even if there isn’t an actual punishment waiting for her, necessarily; Lilith still freaks out and braces for the worst and just feels utterly terrible, because she’s been conditioned to do so.
Especially since Lilith likely has a lot of self-esteem issues about never being good as Eda, always being the lesser sister… As Lilith herself said, Eda may have been star player- But I think Lilith took a lot of solace in being team captain, and believing this role certified her as being at least on Eda’s level when it came to sports, if not above it. So having a definitive match between the two prove once and for all that, yes, Eda IS better at Lilith at Grudgby, just as she’s better at everything else… This realization could’ve really broken Lilith in a lot of ways.
Not to mention, failing the Grudgby game also means failing to bring back Eda- And Lilith has both selfish and altruistic reasons to do so. Lilith wants Eda by her side, and she wants her sister cured; Once again, the chance for this has beaten her. Lilith also wants to protect Eda from Belos, who has begun to crack down on wild witches more as the Day of Unity approaches… So she knows that Eda’s time is running out, in addition to knowing the curse is worsening. To Lilith, she’s not just failing herself on multiple levels- She’s failing her sister once again, and she’s running out of time and chances to make up for her past sins.
It’d also reflect badly on Lilith to the rest of the Emperor’s Coven, as well as Belos and Kikimora… Lilith clearly dislikes Kiki and wants to prove her otherwise- And Lilith still admires Belos and looks up to him a lot. I can see Lilith being grateful to Belos for giving her a chance to prove herself by letting her into his coven, for even bestowing upon her the title of Head Witch (because deep down Lilith feels like she never truly earns anything and it’s given to her only by the grace of others, she only got into the EC because Eda forfeited for her)… And Belos constantly giving Lilith these chances, and being willing to cure Eda and let her into his coven, surely it means he somewhat trusts her- And that again, Belos is doing so much for her.
Lilith would hate to disappoint someone she looks up to, someone who’s clearly setting aside a lot of patience just to put up with her, and she wants to pay them back because she feels undeserving… She’d be failing Belos and his plans, which clearly intend the greater good for the Boiling Isles- So in a way, Lilith is failing the Isles as well… And I wouldn’t be surprised if Lilith realized at some point that her own apprentice was also disappointed in her for the Covention incident. So to Lilith, she’s been a recently increasing stream of disappointment to those who trust her, look up to her, and in some ways hurting those she cares about or feels obligated for.
I imagine Lilith feels like she causes a lot of harm in general, so she seeks to offset this by being a helpful and productive member of society, and probably justifies her participation in Belos’ corruption by believing it’s all for the greater good, which then just contributes to Lilith justifying hurting Eda ‘for her own good’. Lilith wants to think she’s worthwhile, that her continued existence and people’s patience with her is justifiable and will pay off, because clearly she’s put a lot of stock and work into things under the hopes that it’ll all be worth it in the end. Kind of like how Lilith believes it’s okay to curse Eda, because it’ll be worth it when she gets into the Emperor’s Coven- That it’s worth buying into its ideology and being separated from Eda, because one day Eda will join her in their former dream, and be cured!
And as she’s no doubt desperate for approval, Lilith is afraid of not only losing it, but having this replaced with scorn. Lilith doesn’t want to fail someone she admires, someone she thinks actually values her when beforehand she’s never felt approved of; And as Head of the Emperor’s Coven, she is no doubt intimately aware of a LOT of horrible things that happen to wild witches. To people who displease Belos in general… And so while she has so much reason to admire the Emperor, she’s also got plenty cause to fear him as well. Fear of having her position by his side revoked (especially since we see Owl Mask already taking up one themselves), fear of losing support of the one person who tolerated her… Fear of what he could do to Lilith, etc.
Lilith already has every reason to be extremely sensitive of failure and rejection, in addition to her low self-esteem, and other tangible consequences… So what you suggested, about Belos actively punishing Lilith (hopefully it only began after Sense and Insensitivity, as that episode had Lilith act like it’s okay for her to take her time capturing Eda, under the excuse of her sister eventually becoming debilitated by her worsening curse), it is… Honestly pretty terrifying, and not at all out of character for Belos. Especially given how he’s the Emperor, so he’s free to do whatever he chooses to his own underlings, without repercussion- So I could see him being actively worse than Odalia and Alador are to their own kids, which would be saying something!
Given the cult-y vibes of the Emperor’s Coven, I can see Belos further indoctrinating his minions into thinking it’s totally okay for him to harm them as punishment for failure, and even that this is a good and deserved thing- Again, tying back to those parallels of the American school system, which has echoes of the belief that ‘suffering is purifying’. It doesn’t even have to be the entire Emperor’s Coven that is convinced and wrapped up into this sort of abuse- Lilith is already of such low self-esteem that I think she’d believe she deserves it… Maybe even finds a twisted relief in her punishment as cathartic self-harm. Belos gives off ‘Christian Colonizer’ vibes as-is, and there are records of such puritans advocating for this kind of pain as being ‘good’ for a person, so to Lilith it’s her actively atoning and making up for her mistakes, in addition to actually succeeding next time.
And if so, then that is a horrifically abusive relationship, especially since entire generations of witches are already indoctrinated into trusting Belos for having what’s best for them in mind- I mean, the show’s ending credits have a pair of toddlers making a sand castle of Belos’ palace, that’s how deep this propaganda goes! It’d take a lot to unlearn that, especially from someone as entrenched into the Emperor’s Coven as Lilith… And if Eda and Luz were to learn about this, if what you suggested is true- Then in addition to the whole ‘threatening to execute Lilith by nightfall’ bit, and Lilith genuinely thinking she was helping Eda and curing her curse, thus saving her sister from a fate worse than death; I could see them becoming a LOT more sympathetic and forgiving to Lilith, because they just don’t have it in their hearts to be mad at someone who has clearly suffered and been traumatized and manipulated…
I could see Luz maybe even drawing parallels to Amity and her parents, while Eda is just horrified that this is what her sister went through- And maybe she thinks that she should’ve been more there for Lilith, should’ve worked to rescue her older sister if she knew what was going on, even if that meant kidnapping Lilith. And of course, Lilith has reached that point of self-defeat where she insists to Eda that her little sister owes her nothing, and she is right in a sense… But also, Lilith thinks that while Eda owes Lilith nothing, Lilith herself is owed so much pain and punishment, when it’s clear that this sort of thing will only make things worse for someone who’s used to it- So obviously Luz and Eda aren’t going to invest in more suffering for Lilith, because obviously it didn’t teach her to be a kinder and happier person.
So while Lilith is obviously testing their patience in a LOT of ways… Luz and Eda’s natural compassion, in addition to appreciation of Lilith doing the right thing in the end, and having the bravery to defy Belos- I think that’ll help them forgive Lilith, or at least be on better terms with her. Hopefully she can be accepted fully into their family… And that’s assuming Lilith won’t try to bail out of guilt and wanting to protect Eda, to not be a burden, and to just want the comforting isolation away from the constant reminder of her failures in life and as a sister, because at the Owl House, Lilith will constantly be reminded of how Eda was so much better off and happier than her, and that’ll just add to her insecurity at being outdone. Lilith will be reminded of the curse she cast on Eda, and also what she missed out on for so long, and it’ll tear her apart…
And, I can see Lilith actually reveling in her half of the curse as self-punishment for what she’s done, and Eda… While Eda has cautiously accepted this because it IS Lilith making up for the damage she legitimately caused and worsened- She also doesn’t want Lilith to default to martyrdom and self-punishment because she knows that kind of mindset in reaction to failure is abusive and a product of the Coven System. Oof, I’m just suddenly imagining Lilith finding ways to punish herself while at the Owl House, maybe leaving so she can do so uninterrupted, because she’s still enacting the abuse when there’s nobody around to perform it- And the others have to really look out for Lilith and stop her… It’d be incredibly exhausting and tiresome, and just make Lilith feel like even more of a burden.
But in the end, Lilith realized that wallowing in self-pity and punishment for years didn’t help Eda or herself, it just made things worse- It was making just that one decision to change and improve things for the better, that got Lilith the immediate results of a more-repaired relationship with her sister. Sooner or later, Lilith has to pick herself up; All this self-loathing is no doubt exhausting, and she wants something new… Lilith still wants to be with Eda and now she has the chance. If she put in the work serving the Emperor’s Coven under the hopes it’d pay off, maybe she can put in the work of self-improvement under this same principle; Or not, investing in the Emperor’s Coven clearly failed, so why bother?
Well, I imagine Eda’s happiness, time with her, and the fact that Lilith is no longer burning with her worst secret, is a good reason to invest… Because Lilith’s seen actual results for once, so she knows it’ll pay off in the end and she wants more of that happiness and goodness in life. But Titan, it’d probably be terrifying, having to imagine Lilith caught in the attempt of self-harm because she hates herself, she’s trying to secretly get away with it, and Luz/Eda/King are so scared and shocked because of it… And Lilith just insists in a mental breakdown that this is what she deserves, and why can’t they leave her to this because don’t they secretly hate her anyway!? But the others don’t really, that’s why she’s even here- They’re here to be fully transparent with Lilith and not lie and lead her on like Belos did in his abusive, manipulative way.
I’m just imagining the others getting Lilith into a routine of self-care, making her invest into a schedule and productive stuff that keeps her distracted, maybe a hobby or two that makes Lilith feel constructive- Getting her to wean off her self-destructive habits, while Lilith is also obligated to make a promise each day that she won’t relapse and get into some funny business… And then the others can feel safer leaving her alone for longer periods of time, while also validating and rewarding Lilith for her efforts, further incentivizing her to do well… While not punishing her for any failure, further teaching Lilith to not default to that in the first place. Of course Eda would do everything in her power to keep Luz and King free from this responsibility and concerns, but I can see Luz insisting on providing some kind of helping hand- Or at least contributing towards the happier, fluffier moments that are less messy and agonizing for everyone involved.
And wanting to live up to this trust that a kid has in her, to see someone trust in her again after she messed up with Amity- It’ll give Lilith a lot of belief in herself that maybe she CAN do right… And she’s now even got the chance to make amends with Amity, too! Maybe things are getting better… And maybe things ARE improving, because she IS a good person, and the others were right to believe in her- Lilith wouldn’t want to prove them wrong, after all! And if it really brightens her sister’s day to see Lilith become happy again, then… That makes Lilith happy, and finally she’s doing things right, without having to worry about when she messes up.
For once, Lilith can take genuine, true pride in confidence in who she is, and what she does- And finally she’ll invest in the dignity and self-respect to know that she deserves better. Then Lilith can not only spare herself from pain- She can protect her loved ones from it for real this time, instead of always hurting them. For so long Lilith has hurt others trying to do what’s best for them; Now she can do what’s best for them without doing so, because Lilith knows that what’s best for others isn’t pain, but happiness and healing. She can do the right thing, and make up for what may have been Lilith’s original failure that started it all; Not being the protective older sister that Eda needed her to be.
Lilith doesn’t need to fear failure, and she can expect so much from success this time, especially now that it’s within reach; And Lilith knows that she can always change and improve herself to reach it, assuming she isn’t already capable! Eda does believe in the capacity to choose your own destiny and who you want to be, regardless of how you start out or what others dictate. Even if Lilith WAS a terrible person… She has the power to change this, and she’ll certainly make use of this opportunity. Lilith need not resign herself to what she saw as fate, as the inevitability of her decline into despair, or her place in the Emperor’s Coven as ordained by Belos’ hierarchy… Lilith can become who she always wanted to be- A wild witch and a good sister, someone who is happy, fulfilled, and free!

Owl House Predictions 1-B
Created before The First Day premiered. If I get at least ten of these right, then I get a cookie. Information comes from the trailer, the episode descriptions, and the minigame relics on the Disney website. If you want proof for each theory, ask me in the comments.
The First Day
Luz samples each track at first and can’t decide. She tries to pick potions but mixes magic to end up in the Delinquent Track
Viney uses magic from the blue track with the DNA hand in order to become the monster shown in the trailer.
Luz looks up to Viney and tries to mimic her actions
At the end of the episode, Luz is forced into one track.
Really Small Problems
Luz, Willow, and Gus hang out together in the marketplace. King feels left out and devalued because of his height.
King gets a potion from Tibbles, that’s supposed to make him tall. It’s a trick, so it ends up making Luz, Willow, and Gus into miniature versions of themselves
At first, the three get lost. Then, instead of King finding them, Tibbles does.
Tibbles kidnaps Luz, Willow, and Gus, intending to use them as entertainment and sell them. Eda and King have to rescue the three of them, returning them to normal.
Understanding Willow
Willow and Amity fight over their past. Luz wants to understand it, but neither girl goes into detail. It gets to the point where Luz has to choose between her friendship for Willow or her crush on Amity
Instead, Luz steals a magical artifact from the school: the tweezers that extract memories. She uses them on Willow.
Memories are shown as windows on trees. A person crawls through a window in order to watch a memory.
We are shown pieces of all their memories, one at a time.
Luz’s memories are of her family and schooling. We see how badly people treated her, and how much of an outcast she felt she was. We also see how her relationship with her mom is strained: sometimes they get along, and sometimes her mom hides creativity, almost as if she’s keeping a secret from her.
Amity’s memories are about her family and pressure. We might get hints at the half-human theory, or the Eda-is-her-mom theory. We see her parents hurting her emotionally, and how any slip-ups were treated with cold disapproval.
Willow’s memories are of bullying and depression. We see how she started as a cheerful, optimistic kid. Then Amity left her, and she became insecure about her abilities. Then Amity bullied her, and she let it get to her. She joined the Abomination Track because either she or her parents wanted her to be cool like Amity. But that isn’t what she’s good at.
Willow and Amity are ex-friends, but it’s written like they’re the type of exes where they had mini-crushes or platonic crushes on each other, but they were too young to recognize them as such.
Luz damages one of Willow’s memories when they’re in her brain. Amity is panicked because they messed up, and this is her second rulebreaker adventure with Luz, after “Lost In Language.” Luz and Amity have to repair her brain. They see something they shouldn’t see.
Luz and Amity have to take Willow to Eda, searching for a solution. She helps them heal Amity. Gus is there, too, because that’s the promo picture I’m basing this off of.
Willow and Amity make steps towards making up.
Eda hints at her tragic past. Luz asks about it, but doesn’t press it, because she has boundaries.
Enchanting Grom Fright
It starts with a lunch scene, where Willow and Gus tell Luz about Grom. She thinks it’s like Prom. Either they tell her what it really is, and she’s shocked--or they assume she knows what it is really like, and she never learns.
Her next step is to get a Grom date. She tries to ask Amity, but doesn’t know if Amity is interested. So she stalks Amity, hiding in lockers and peering around corners, trying to build up confidence.
Grom turns out to be a dance and a competition. It’s like prom, except it’s not a popularity competition. Witches have to show off their powers, and whoever is the least powerful is given the Grom Tiara. The Tiara shows the wearer their worst fears.
Or, Grom is a trial contest. Only the bravest witch volunteers to wear the Grom Tiara and face their worst fears.
Amity knows what Grom is really like, and she’s nervous. She aims to be the best, and reap whatever reward they give the best witch--or to survive the Grom Tiara. So she’s worried, which Luz probably misinterprets.
Luz messes up asking Amity out. They don’t go together, even though they clearly want to.
Or, Luz asks Amity out, and Amity is shocked because Grom isn’t like that. Luz thinks it’s a lack of interest and she’s upset.
Throughout the Grom, they dance and switch partners. Luz has snippets of conversation with Amity, where each person realizes that they might have misunderstood. Before Luz can figure out what’s wrong, a contest is declared.
If Grom is a power contest, Luz loses the contest. She has to wear the tiara, and she must face her fears.
If Grom is a trial, Luz volunteers to wear the crown, not knowing what it does. She experiences the same problems.
Luz’s fears are about losing what she has. She sees her mom coming through the gate. She sees herself losing King and Eda and Amity. She is stuck at camp, or at her old school, and they’re missing. She stares at a picture of her, Eda, and King. She listens to songs that reminds her of Amity. She draws pictures of her friends and found family, with her in the middle. Her mom finds them and takes them away.
Amity helps her snap out of it. Later, Luz is upset, and Amity has to comfort her. Amity slips up and says something gay, and Luz teases her.
Wing It Like Witches
This is the Quidditch Episode
It starts with Luz, Willow, and Gus talking about Owl House Quidditch. Luz is excited to try it.
Eda is less enthusiastic. She has a bad experience with it, and encourages Luz to not do it.
Luz learns about Boscha’s claim to beat her. Then she has to do it.
The game has a deadly twist: if she loses, she can actually die. She is dismayed to find that Amity is on the opposing team.
I literally don’t know sports so that’s all I’m going to speculate about this episode
It ends with some important thing that sets up the main conflict for the last two episodes. Probably Emperor Belos or Lilith doing something sketchy
Agony of a Witch (this is where I would say my predictions are not at all accurate)
The class goes on a field trip
Luz hangs out with Amity at first. Then she gets distracted, as she does, and wanders off
Luz finds something she shouldn’t see: the Emperor’s Coven’s magic system.
The Emperor’s Coven collects all the magic that other covens can’t use. It harvests the magic, making Emperor Belos more powerful.
Luz tries to stop it but gets trapped. She is temporarily successful. Her uniform becomes multi-colored to signify this.
Eda goes there to rescue her. She has to enlist Lilith’s help. Naturally, it’s a trap
Eda and Lilith get in a fight about their past. Before they can reconcile, Belos finds them and fuses them.
The three-headed Hecate monster from the trailer is comprised of Eda, Lilith, and one other person. It is either Emperor Belos, Camilla, or a secret relative of Eda and Lilith’s. If it is Camilla, then the previous episode would be when she crosses over into the Demon Realm. If it is a secret relative, then the previous episode would reveal that identity
Young Blood, Old Souls
Luz has to defeat Emperor Belos’s big plan
She has to enlist the help of Willow, Gus, and Amity. Amity’s parents tell her not to do so, since they’re big donors to the Emperor’s Coven. She rebels against them for the first time in her life.
Edric and Emira help, somehow. I feel like Tiny Nose will reappear as well
Luz and her mother meet, and Luz has to choose whether to stay or go. It’s not an easy decision
Lumity is not confirmed, since they have a new season
Defeating the big plan reveals something far worse. I don’t know what

LINE WITHOUT A HOOK—chapter 4
Again DISCLAIMER: i don’t own Draco Malfoy or the houses of hogwarts or Quidditch. That all beloings to the author. Wheras I do own Allison Hale. This is a crossover ish story so if you don’t enjoy those don’t read this. Also this is my first time writing about quittich and it was really ffing hard. But we are getting closer to a really really cute part. So stick around.
Wordscount: 1194 words

I woke up with sweat on my forehead. The after effects of the nightmare still drawing out. My heart beat fast and hard in my chest. The darkness around me yet the light from my night candle reminded me that I was safely tucked in my dorm room. And that what I had dreamt—as horrible as it was was just that. A dream.
I couldn’t truly sleep the remainder of the evening. Sometimes drifting off only to awake in a few simple seconds. I was nervous to sleep again, constantly remembering the prominent face of Lucius Malfoy. And Fenrir Grayback. I knew I was halfway wanted, given I got away. I was turned but I wasn’t dead which had been Fenrir his original goal.
I got up when the light through my window made it clear that it was day, washing my face to keep the scars clean. As always I had scratched my throat deeply during the turning so I cleaned the wound with salt water. Putting bandages over them before grabbing my quidditch stuff. I wore the sweater to the field. My broom in my right hand. We had to play against slytherin, and despite the compition being real with them I knew they cheated. And badly. But I sometimes managed to kick their asses. And given Draco wasn’t their seeker anymore I had more of a chance.
As usual we were given a peptalk and all got to our usual spots. I immediately focused on the goal. Catching the snitch. So that is the goal I settled on. As the snitch was let loose and the game begun I got up onto my broom. I held it tightly as I soared through the air. It took a while before I found it again. And I wasn’t planning on letting it get from my sight again. So I flew; and fast. The seeker of Slytherin tailing behind me—bastard that he was. And when I came closer I outstretched my hand and caught it. The fluttery wings against my hand until it became a ball again.
“MISS ALLISON HALE HAS CAUGHT THE SNITCH! HUFFLEPUFF WINS”
I got down and got over to my team as for the first time in a while we didn’t have any wounded either. I embraced them as I looked over to the tribunes and saw how along the Hufflepuffs clapping, Draco watched me. He wasn’t clapping but he winked at me. And that was enough. I knew he couldn;t clap for me. It would tarnish his name. But I smiled, and winked back. Before focusing again on my team that was surrounded by pure and utter chaos. They didn’t win often so when they did it was something they truly celebrated.
I returned to the shower after the game. I always did. Cleaning of the sweat and making sure none of the dirt actually got into my wounds; I was too stubborn to visit madame Pomfrey again. The soap got into the wounds a bit. Making me let out small huffs cause it obviously burned like crazy. I go from the shower and put on my hufflepuff sweater.
I got into the great hall. Lunch was just served and after every match I was usually absolutely famished. I got to the table and started eating; they still talked about my triumph and how we won. I ate and laughed with them. Only to notice someone watching me. I felt it under my skin and it wasn’t exactly unpleasant. I looked up to find the gaze of Draco Malfoy. He then smiled at me as I returned the smile. For someone who bare,y smiled he smiled an awful lot towards me. It comforted me. I got up after eating and made my way to the astronomy tower. It was our usual meeting spot, and since he had left Lunch earlier I assumed he would be up here. I immediately noticed him, staring out of the window.
“Sad because your team lost?” I joked sarcastically, almost tripping over the last step. “Careful” he spoke as he then looked at me. “You deserved that win” he said as I got besides him. Sitting on the similar spot. “And why is that” “he tried to hex you” Draco said, muttering. I had noticed it of course. I had heard the attempt at muttering when I caught the snitch. “He failed” I then said as his eyes focused on a rather fresh wound of mine in my neck. I had forgotten to put a bandage or a scarf over it. “I had a small accident” I explained as he didn’t doubt or question it. ‘No classes for the rest of the day?” “Not really, how about you?” “Just a pile of potions homework.” I explained. Potions was the kind of class I liked to attempt last minute. And then failed at anyway. The ingredients always had to be perfect. I had to memorise a bunch of herbs that i remembered my mother having in the kitchen. And thinking too long on that usually actually made me quite sad.
“You need help with those?” Again I saw that doubt in his eyes. Wondering if he actually wanted to offer help or run off as fast as he could. I looked at him and shook my head. “No, thank you. I think I can handle it.” I explained. I actually just didn’t want to make him uncomfortable. “Look...would you like to go to hogsmaede with me next week. I just as friends” i asked. And stuttered. I hated the stuttering. But I usually did it when I was a bit nervous. “Is next week the first trip already? Of course I could come” he said. I gave a smile. “That will be fun” I said. Sitting this close to him reminded me of the potions class. The smell he always had around him. Smelling like sandalwood, cologne and caramel. It comforted me. “Maybe i can get you the dark bitter coffee you so much enjoy” I explained. He laughed it off. “You and your obsession with getting me dark bitter coffee” “I just do not understand why and how you could like it bitter” i made a face that made him chuckle. “It is disgusting” “HEY I don’t make fun of your weak tea either” “my tea isn’t weak!” I argued as he shook his head. In this moment he again adjusted his sleeve. And for a moment he looked doubtful again. And dreadful almost sad. “How about a caramel apple then?” He asked me as if to take his mind off of things. “Those are nice” I agreed with a laugh. He smiled; the kind of smile I believed could make every Girl swoon. I had never understood those girls but now I felt flutters in my stomach and I felt blood rise to my cheek. My hands on my cheeks to hide the redness, i then looked at him. “I am going to change before dinner” i then said to him. And got up. “I’ll see you around” i said and with that left to my dorm.

What I Thought About "O' Titan, Where Art Thou" from The Owl House
Salutations, random people on the internet who certainly won't read this. I am Ordinary Schmuck. I write stories and reviews and draw comics and cartoons.
It's crazy to think that this is basically the beginning of the end for The Owl House. And I don't mean just this season. "O' Titan, Where Art Thou" gives me this feeling that things will start wrapping up for the series. After this week, we have two more episodes, three forty-five-minute specials, and that's it. There's very little time at this point for shenanigans and fluff, as the writers need to dedicate how little they have left to tie up as many loose ends as possible. And like I said, "O' Titan, Where Art Thou" is the beginning. Revelations have been made, and groups are formed, meaning that there's not much left except preparing for the end. Let's just hope that this week's episode didn't break us too badly when doing it.
Spoilers below.
WHAT I LIKED
The Opening Scene: Well, this episode is already accepted as being heavy and heartbreaking. Might as well start things off with total, incomprehensible fear as we learn that King has some form of a connection with The Collector. Knowing that they probably want King for something, it is a horrifying prospect that they can have an idea of where to find him.
On the topic of wants, this opening scene gives us a glimpse of The Collector's motivation: Freedom from isolation. It appears they're stuck in that weird Pokeball or whatever the hell it is, wanting to be free and have people to play with again. Unfortunately, I feel like The Collector's idea of playtime involves s**t like shuffling a person's face holes like a deck of cards, but at least we know what they want now. The question is, why does The Collector need the Day of Unity to be free? Well, we'll have to wait for future episodes to answer that question because we have problems to deal with now.
King Wanting to Split Up: Such as King wanting to split up so he can be left alone with his thoughts on being the last of his species and that everything he thought he knew was a lie. That's really the impression I got from King's request to just go back to the Owl House on his own. He both wants and needs the time to process what happened to him in "Edge of the World," and I respect that the writers acknowledge that King wouldn't immediately go back to his usual self. His life--At least, with how he perceives it--is changed forever. He can never go back to the time before he knew he was a Titan, and it's great that we get to see him process that ON SCREEN. He might have thought about everything that happened to him between episodes, but it would have been much more fascinating to see it. And we do, and it was. So, yeah. Good job all around.
Everyone’s Wanted: Unfortunately, the problems keep on rising. I'm sure if this was still Season One, Eda would be proud that Luz ends up a wanted criminal like her because "Hooray corrupting the youth" and "fight the power" and all that jazz. However, this is nearing the end of Season Two. The context behind the wanted posters has changed, and Eda has grown closer to Luz. So, when the Emperor's Coven is hunting Luz down like a wild animal, it's not going to be pride Eda will feel. It's fear and worry over how to protect Luz from this not-great situation. So seeing those posters not only makes the audience fear for Luz, but it also makes us worry about Eda and what she's going through.
The Owl House Got Ransacked: And this makes it worse!
Seeing the Owl House emptied out of everything...hurts. It always stings when the home of the characters, one we often see and become familiarized with, gets some level of destroyed or violated. It shows how big the stakes are becoming, where the one setting we all saw as sacred isn't even safe from this big, status quo-shattering event.
And again, it makes me ask, WHERE'S EDA IN ALL OF THIS?!
Lilith and Eda Coming Up with Ideas to Stop Belos: Oh, there she is. And with Lilith too!
That being said, I like where we find Lilith and Eda in this episode. They're low on resources and are on their own, and all they can think to do is bounce ideas off each other on how to stop Belos. Because, really, that's all they can do at this moment. Eda's broken laws before, but she's never had to do a full-frontal assault against a dictator. This is something that is way out of her league. And while Lilith has planned assaults before, she's always had her magic and an army of Coven Guards backing her up. Now? All she has is Eda, and both of them are powerless without their magic. They have their glyphs and staffs, but compared to Belos' "magic" ability, they'd be dead in a few minutes. They recognize this and understand that there's basically nothing they can do, which soon presents an interesting conflict for Eda. She has no plan and knows that she and everyone else is screwed, but she can't tell Luz that. Luz has more hope than anyone else, and if Eda kills that, then things really are hopeless for everybody. I'll get more into that later. For now...I could use a laugh.
Lilith’s Reaction to King Being a Titan: Oh, how I needed this...
There's been this air of doom and gloom within these last few episodes, heightened by the Day of Unity is coming closer and closer. So, trust me when I appreciate this subplot of Lilith being excited that King is a god and starts worshiping him like one. It was pretty fun to see, getting me to chuckle at how nuts Lilith can get when seeking approval from someone of a higher power. But that's just ONE part of the episode.
Luz Wanting to Steal Back Francois: Just like Eda, Luz wants to give King ONE good day. And to do that, she decides to steal back his favorite stuffed animal, one that he got on the day he and Luz first met...Huh. I wonder if that's the reason why King loves Francios so much. It'd be interesting if it was true.
But enough about plausible theories. Luz wanting to go against the Emperor's Coven for King, despite knowing how big of a target is painted on her back, shows how much she truly cares for him and wants her little buddy/brother to be happy. So by the him, she's going to risk life and limb to get King his favorite toy back! And Eda's going with her because obviously, she doesn't want one of her kids getting arrested or killed for this dangerous mission!
“Wouldn’t you rather have a beach day?”/“Maybe if we had time for twenty more adventures, but we don’t!”: HA!
AH-HA!
Ha...
Ah...
Augh. I'm laughing because it hurts.
Ow...Also, do fans really want a beach episode? Why? To see the characters in swimsuits? You DO realize that most of them are minors, right? You twisted psychos...unless some of you are minors who are younger than the characters. In which case, you're not sick freaks. You're kids going through puberty, Mother Nature's way of reminding everyone that she hates us all. It's totally natural and nothing to really be ashamed of. But if you're NOT a minor, you really ARE a sick freak who SHOULD be ashamed...and also should still stay away from playgrounds.
"But what if I want to see EDA in a bikini?"
Then draw Eda in a bikini! Do you really think a Disney show for kids will have a MILF like her in a bikini?! COME ON!
Anyways, this got away from me. Let's get back to the episode.
Luz and Eda Being “Inconspicuous”: I'm going to be honest, "O' Titan, Where Art Thou" is way funnier than I expected. Eda and Luz busting in with poorly made disguises and not being inconspicuous in the slightest? I'm sorry, but that got a chuckle out of me. And I'm glad. As I said, things have been filled with doom and gloom lately, so it's appreciated that The Owl House remembers to let its viewers have fun before things get too real.
Steve and King Going for a Ride: And while we're talking about fun, I'm glad that King got a more lighthearted subplot in this episode. I mean, he's still dealing with his issues over recent revelations, but he does that by taking the time to relax, breathe, and process everything. It's sweet to see, letting him have this day of fun while still acknowledging how much thing's have changed for him. That moment when he hugged the Titan's rib? Man! That hurt...
And Steve. That mother f**ker. He has no right to be as cool and central to the plot as he did! He was just a silly one-off character that had a good joke of getting shoulder pats! If you were to tell me in Season One that he'd be the central source for King's character development, I would have laughed at you! Because it's f**king STEVE! There's no way that'd be true! But it was, and, dang it, these writers win all of the brownie points for turning a one-off character into someone important and having it WORK! It was all fun to see...and it made me wonder if the episode was ever going to get to the heartbreak I anticipated.
Eda Begging Raine to Protect Luz and King: There it is!
This shows us how much trust and love Eda has toward Raine. She's willing to put faith that they'll be able to protect her kids, knowing that even if Rain's brain is a little scrambled, they still have a heart. They would never let children get hurt if there was anything they could do to stop it. That's heart-shattering enough as it is, but the tone in Eda's voice and the fact that she's willing to let herself get caught so her kids could be safe stings even more. Earlier, I said that Eda knows that they're all screwed, so of course, with the Day of Unity coming in two days, she'll do everything she can to make sure her kids are safe.
Even if it hurts them.
“Are you sending me away?”: The pain in Luz's voice when she asked this question felt real. Luz already had her mother send her away, thinking it'd be for Luz's own good. So to have Eda do the same thing hurts for two reasons. For one, it reopens the wound Luz has from Camila, thinking that she'd rather have someone else take care of Luz. Not saying that's what Camila did, but it's what Luz might THINK she did. Another reason is that it makes Luz think Eda doesn't trust Luz to hold out on her own. Again, that's not true. At least, not entirely true. Eda just wants Luz to be safe, but that's not what Luz wants. She'd rather throw herself into danger than lose the family she has in this world. It's a moment where you'll side with Eda but can understand Luz's betrayal. And what follows after...hurts even more.
Luz and Eda’s Fight: I didn't need this. I DID NOT NEED THIS!
Seeing Luz and Eda fight really hit me hard. These two arguably has the closest relationship out of everyone in the main cast, basically being mother and daughter at this point. Therefore, seeing them fight like this has so much emotional impact because we know they don't want to do this. You see it in how neither actively goes out to hurt the other. It's either to distract, escape, or block, but it still stings seeing them come to this. Luz is trying to prove she can handle herself just fine, while Eda is trying to protect the closest thing she'll have to a daughter. You understand why both are fighting like this, but you just wish they could stop and just talk things out peacefully. And they do...technically. But before I get to THAT gut punch, let's go back to the wholesomeness. PLEASE!
King Not Wanting People to Fear Him Anymore: Now that's some character growth I can get behind.
King finally has everything that he ever wanted. And if this was the same King from Season One, he'd probably be ecstatic, demanding everyone to do dumb things for his entertainment. But this is King from Season Two.
He's a character who saw himself as a tyrant but learned that he was a young child who lost his father. A character who had wanted his biological family again but knows that'll never be possible. A character who went through so much and just wants to live a normal life as a kid. Not a tyrant. Him admitting that he doesn't want people to fear him anymore is King realizing he's not the same as he used to be. He doesn't want power or fear. He wants to be loved. It's an incredible moment, and I sure hope the fandom doesn’t undermine it with something like, oh, I don't know--
Steve’s Face Reveal: THIS! MOTHER! F**KER!
How DARE HE take away our precious baby boy's time to shine by showing what he looks like under the mask! And how DARE HE look cute under that thing!
Also, what does it say about Belos when I'm more excited about Steve's face reveal than his. Again, if you told me that in Season One, I would have laughed in your face. BECAUSE IT'S F**KING STEVE!
Alright, that's enough wholesomeness. Back to the heartbreak.
Luz and Eda Breaking Down in the Cell: DID! NOT! NEED THIS!
Do you want to know what's worse than seeing a mother and daughter fight? Seeing them both cry as they realize how dire things are for them. Eda didn’t want to stamp out Luz’s hope…but she NEEDED to. She needed to tell Luz that things aren’t looking good, and that there’s practically nothing they can do about it. And that kills her. The reason why she’s crying is because she’s finally admitting that she can’t protect Luz and that there’s nothing for them to do but wait for the inevitable. And Luz’s reaction…kills me. She’s begging for Eda to tell her what to do and explain how they can get out of this, only for Eda to stay silent as they’re carted off to their own demise. It hurts much more than the first time they were separated in “Agony of a Witch.” There, Eda was at least trying to force a smile so to not let Luz worry. Here, there is no smile. Just acceptance that there’s no getting out of this…and thank GOODNESS that the episode doesn’t end there!
The CATs (Hiss!) Saving Luz and Eda: So much happens during this reveal, so I'm just going to go in order:
Confirming that Darius and Eberwolf are the ones who are helping Raine (even though we already knew) is great. Raine and Darius already have some solid chemistry, and the explanation for why Darius and Eberwolf attacked Raine and Eda makes sense. Tons of people already assumed that it was mostly an act, and Darius and Eberwolf weren't actually going to hurt anyone. They were just making it look authentic for the emperor's coven and filling Raine in later when things calmed down. As I said, it makes sense.
Luz meeting Raine is everything I wanted it to be. They're both excited to meet each other and explain how the reason why is all because Eda wouldn't shut up about her two favorite people. It's sweet, and I love it.
I love everything building up the name of the rebellion. Raine slowly hyping it up while Darius tells them to shut their mouth is hilarious, with Raine's excitement for having the most pathetic rebellion name being just too pure. The same goes for Luz! She's so excited to be in a rebellion called the CATs, and I'm all for it.
This whole scene was absolute perfection. It lifted my spirits quick after the heartache I just had a second ago while also giving more hope for the end. I know in the back of my mind that things won't end well in "King's Tide," but I'm at least hopeful that our characters have a fighting chance against a mad man planning genocide. It makes me excited to see how well they do...but that's not the only thing I'm excited about.
Luz Carving Her Palisman: Forgot about that little plot point, didn't you? Can't say that I blame you. After all, with everything else that happened, Luz making her own palisman just got left on the backburner for a while. But now, it is the perfect time to bring it back. We've got one episode before the season finale, and what's a better way to make it more grand than letting Luz kick butt with her very own palisman. Whatever she makes, though, we'll just have to see.
Now, I wanted to just cross out the dislike section and just accept that this episode is practically perfect…but…
WHAT I DISLIKED
This episode left me with...questions. Questions that I'd ignore if not for how important they are to be answered. Questions such as:
How did Eda and Lilith avoid getting captured?
How did Eda know that Raine knew about the draining spell?
How did the CATs save Eda and Luz?
Why did they wait hours to free Luz?
I know the writers are strapped for time and need to cut corners to focus on the more important stuff, but there's some flimsy excuse behind these questions that, honestly, would have worked better with just one more rewrite. Other than that, I'd say this is another solid A.
IN CONCLUSION
Even though "O' Titan, Where Art Thou" is the beginning of the end for The Owl House, it still feels like its own episode rather than a part of a larger story. We get many perfect character moments, solid character growth, and a strong balance between humor and drama. Maybe the episode itself isn't flawless, but everything that's done right makes me care less. I enjoyed every minute, and here's hoping that winning streak continues as we reach the end of The Owl House.

Going to ramble about that httyd book au i mentioned some days ago because i cant sleep
Get ready for a big ramble
So like, in here Belos could have an Alvin-like role, his and Alvin's motivations of exterminating one thing could be very easily switched. Sooo, dragons not allowed and mostly killed on sight or treated very badly
And Hunter could really well fit on this concept without much changes. Someone who is on Belos' side but does more out of care for his relative than for the cause itself. But some of the beliefs still get ingrained on him
He would have a persona still, i think that can work, someone doing Belos' dirty jobs for him. His mask is now a helmet, with horns because its httyd we're talking about, there has to be horns on helmets. Maybe it has a plume on it like hiccup's helmet on book 10, maybe not. At first i tried to make the horns like the wing on his staff but that looks silly, then i tried something like Belos' horns but that would be too similar to Belos', so i settled on horns not based on anything really, they look good.
Below the armor he has a fireproof suit on (the darker bits on the drawings of him in the armor), which usually he has the hood up to protect his ears, the only part of him that is not protected. Also i think he could use a bow, like how he shoots stuff from his staff on canon.
Even if he's following Belos and the language is super outlawed, he is learning dragonese in secret, studying dragons when no one's looking, interested in knowing more about a not so distant time where other people did own dragons and didn't treat them as badly or as pests like Belos and their tribe do (the dragons still aren't treated that fairly but its at least not as bad as with them). And that gets stronger and more dangerous when he finds Lil rascal and befriends them.
Tumblr media
Im still trying to figure out how they would look, if they look better as a wyvern or not, the shape of the head, that type of thing. Fun hiding shenanigans ensue too
And that's all I have for now, i haven't decided on how the magicless aspect of him could work on this scenario, literally haven't developed anyone besides him, a bit of Lil rascal and even less of Belos, but Im having fun, i might post some other things about it as time goes on!

Building a Replacement - The Owl House Oneshot
Synopsis: Hunter finds out what Belos has been working on besides the portal.
(Left open ended in case the Hunter grimwalker theory ends up wrong. And also Belos' intentions, if he wished or not for Hunter to go to eclipse lake)
(Written right after eclipse lake released but before yesterday's lie)
.
His expression was blank as he barely could read what was written on the pages. This couldn't be it, it couldn't be.
Not much before that moment, he had snuck out to the portal room. Belos was busy with something else, he couldn't show the key to him right away, so in the mean time, he took the opportunity of being there all by himself, now that he was useful again. Now he could focus on other not so urgent things.
His mind was warely curious about the book he spotted earlier there. It wouldn't hurt to take a peek and see what it's about, maybe it had something to do with the portal, some of the things that Belos wouldn't tell him about it. Belos wouldn't have to know about this, it was just to satisfy his curiosity.
It still scared him, though. His heart raced as he opened the door, realizing how tense he was only when he let out a sigh, relaxing his shoulders slightly. The palisman was on his pocket, he could feel them moving there, trying to get more comfortable on their hiding spot. He reached his hand to where they were, giving them a quick head scratch, which got answered with a quiet chirp.
Always looking around, he slowly went up to the book, picking it up as carefully as he would be doing with a crystal ball, the age of the book giving him even more reason to do it like so.
There were strange drawings on the left page, and a list of ingredients on the right. His eyes stopped on the title above the list.
Grimwalker.
Then, below it, the list had many questionable ingredients.
Galdorstone (heart & power).
Palistrom wood (keratin).
Stonesleeper lungs.
Selkidomus scales.
Bone of ORTET.
All these ingredients made him anxious, although he couldn't figure out why. Many things the coven had been searching for were there. A galdorstone, palistrom wood, selkidomus scales (so that was the reason he told him to slay it? But then why would he not ask him to collect it's scales?). What was a grimwalker? What was Belos wanting to do with it?
His focus turned to the other page, full of diagrams and checkmarks. A weight on his chest started to settle in, as his hands held the book tighter. His eyes couldn't focus on anything that was written there, bouncing from one image to another as his brain connected the dots.
Red eyes, the nose, the ingredients, the maturity stages, the-
He dropped the book as if it was made of fire. He didn't even care about the loud thud it made when it fell. It was getting hard to breathe, heart and mind racing, ears glued to the sides of his head, stepping away from the book, still staring at it.
What did this all mean-
The door suddenly opened, Hunter froze in place, his whole body tensing up, to the point he could feel this dull, hard pain on his arms.
He did not dare to look behind his shoulder. He didn't need to. Who else would be there?
"Hunter? What are you doing here? You know what i have told you about being alone in here."
Belos.
"Emperor Belos. I-I...I thought you might have been here."
He heard the mask being taken off, he still hadn't turned around to face his uncle. Slow footsteps approached him.
"I thought I had told you I had important matters to solve."
A hand was placed on his shoulder. Hunter was trying his damn best to not let the trembling be noticeable, to a mixed success.
"I'm sorry. I just... I didn't know where to find you." His eyes were still wide open, in shock of the reveal, scared out of his mind by what could happen right now.
"Do you want to see the human realm that badly? I understand your eagerness, but it would be safer for you to not stay here alone. It can be dangerous when you do not know how to operate it. Besides, the operation at the knee was a total failure, it will take longer than i expected to truly activate the portal."
Kikimora. She must have already told him. She must have snitched on him. His breathing got faster and messier, barely able to keep it under control.
"I... I was already getting out... I didn't touch the portal."
Belos' grip on his shoulder tightened for a second, making him jump.
"And why were you searching for me that badly? It is very late right now, Hunter."
Oh no.
"I...uh, I just wanted to know for how long I'll have to stay in the castle."
It was nerve-wrecking to lie to him. Didn't feel right. It felt like daring to stay out into the boiling rain.
Hunter still didn't attempt to look at his face. Belos certainly knew what he had done, that he was sure. The deafening silence didn't help with his situation.
"We should leave this coversation for tomorrow. It can wait a few more hours. When we can talk better about this."
Hunter nodded slowly, tightly gripping his gloved thumb.
"...I understand." And as he made his way to the door, he stopped as he felt the emperor staring at him again.
"And Hunter," he started. "just let it be known that I will forgive this...disobedience this time, but you better not repeat this. Understood?"
He froze again, mortified. He really didn't think this through, did he?
His throat dried up, as he rushed to answer with a nod.
"...u...understood."
"Good night then, Hunter."
He closed the door as he got out of the room, still shaking.
It was a given now.
He was going to be replaced.
