Head cannon that Belos had his brother’s whole body lying around and started the grimalkers like. At first he used a whole ass member like a hand since he didn’t think he’d need another one (or, at least, not many) but the size of the Bone of Ortet has been slowly decreasing due to him realizing just how many he’d be making, until Hunter’s predecessor was made with half a toe. With Hunter he just said “fuck it” and tossed in the skull since he didn’t have that much time left.

What's the process of making Grimwalkers here? We know Belos cares about them, is it weird for him to make them? I just want to know more about the Grimwalkers.
In the technical sense, the creation process is the same as in canon. In an emotional sense, it's complicated, in part due to the ingredients he had to use - the most difficult being his brother's bones, and a less difficult one being Selkidomus scales, given that it's a peaceful creature, so getting the scales isn't exactly ethical (unless he gets them from one that was already dead)
Over time, while wanting to have some semblance of his brother around was still a reason for the Grimwalkers' creation, another big reason became that Belos wanted to be a parent - and perhaps, to some extent, since he didn't get to spend much time with his niece centuries ago, he specifically wanted to have a nephew to - in some way - make up for not spending time with his niece/abandoning her.
The creation of the Grimwalkers is purely an emotional decision, and the reasons for it are something Belos himself is only beginning to fully understand now, as he's unpacking his trauma.
That breakdown happened a while before the creation of the first Grimwalker - it's the trauma and grief from Caleb's sudden death. He had been trying to find something that could revive Caleb for some time, but it didn't seem possible, so he was starting to lose hope.
That was until he found out about Grimwalkers. Philip/Belos interpreted them as a way to bring back the dead, so he created one in an attempt to revive Caleb. But his hopes were crushed, as the Grimwalker didn't look exactly like Caleb, and didn't have his memories either.
He was the only Grimwalker to be named Caleb, and the only one Philip/Belos told they were brothers. Every subsequent Grimwalker was created younger and referred to as Belos's nephew, since they are more like Caleb's sons than Caleb himself, given the fact they don't have any of his memories and have their own personalities.

(Ask) Since Hunter is AroAce, are any of his... many older siblings also AroAce? More specifically, is any member of the Gilded Family AroAce?
Hmmmmm see, that's a hard one. Because if I do not actively put effort into making a character allo, then they just. Aren't. Because it just doesn't come naturally to me, so unless I want a romantic subplot, all of my original characters are just kinda aspec coded on their own. None of them are inherently interested in romance/sex because I'M not interested. So... all of them but Cyrus?
But specifically, if I had to pick some who would have had the opportunity in their time as Golden Guard and just aren't into that
Phoenix. BI most eligible bachelor 7 years running. He does not know why, what that means, or that he could in any way benefit from this.
A.T. Probably more grey than anything else, plenty of opportunity while sneaking out, prefers Chaos. Looking for a partner in crime, not a partner.
Joseph. Much prefers the company of animals to humans anyway, taking care of griffin babies is the only fatherhood he needs.
