Hellooooo everybody! No, I haven’t disappeared 😅

It’s been a while since I posted anything, though. One thing after the other came up and I did not have the energy for anything, let alone posting in socials.

I HAVE been looking at all the love my works have gotten (specially the Princess Tutu ones ... you people have left me spechless) and I cannot put into words how grateful I am for all your support. Your likes, reblogs, tags and comments made my day even at the worst times

Speaking of works, I’ll talk about the next ones below the cut

Of course, it’s October, so my brain won’t let me skip THE challenge and therefore here I am again: it’s gonna be Pokemon this time

No list to follow this year, just somewhat of a plan/outline (or however you say esquema in english, I actually don’t know this one)

The first 20 days will be based on the Pokemon Legends Arceus poems. The rest will be Scarlet/Violet drawings, divided into the 3 main quests

And that’s about it! Hope you like these ones too 🙈 I’ll post the first one in a bit, if you miss it it will be in my blog for sure

as a fellow sheller i have to ask: what was it like seeing them in real life?? ☺️

In a word: surreal.

Photo ops go fast. Everyone says that, but it's true. The most time you get to watch them interact during photo ops is the two or less minutes it takes for them to get through the three people in front of you in the queue, but of course you're spending that time thinking about what you want to happen when it's your turn and hoping you don't end up with Resting Dork Face when Chris snaps the pic. Then when your turn is over, you walk away without a chance to really look back.

But of course, they're both absolutely beautiful. Photos don't do justice to the energy they radiate. I am a Jensen-girl to my very core, and there's no way I could have prepared myself for seeing him so close. My friend and I had the op with Baby as well, and I'm so glad I had her with me as my first op of my "Jensen Day" - although, while we were waiting in that queue, Misha's adventure m&g broke through just in front of us, close enough he almost brushed against me, and we got the wink. Damn, those eyes sure are blue!

I had Jensen's m&g as well, which he was an hour late for (while Misha was 45 mins late for autos scheduled at the same time - I'll let you draw your own conclusion 😉) and the energy he brought to that room was incredible. Just instant smiles and engagement. I didn't know I could love him more.

Then that panel on Sunday! What a way to cap it all off!

Anyways, this just turned into me gushing about the con. But hello fellow sheller - cockles is real, and nothing I saw at VanCon made me doubt it. 💙💚

advice i think we should tell children is that when adults say stuff like ‘now that i’m an adult i get really excited about stuff like coffee tables and bathrooms and rugs etc’ they don’t mean ‘and now i don’t care about blorbo and squimbus from my childhood tv shows anymore’ bc your average adult still loves all the same pop culture stuff they always did; they just have a greater appreciation for the mundane as well. growing up just means you can enjoy life twice as much now. you can get really excited about a new stuffed animal AND about a new kitchen sponge. peace and love

So earlier in art class today, someone drew a characters hands in their pockets and mentioned that hands are really like the ultimate end boss of art, and most of us wholeheartedly agreed. So then, our teacher went ahead and free handed like a handful of hands on the board, earning a woah from a couple of students. So the one from earlier mentioned how it barely took the teacher ten seconds to do what I can’t do in three hours. And you know what he responded?

“It didn’t take me ten seconds, it took me forty years.”

And you know, that stuck with me somehow. Because yeah. Drawing a hand didn’t take him fourth years. But learning and practicing to draw a hand in ten seconds did. And I think there’s something to learn there but it’s so warm and my brain is fried so I can’t formulate the actual morale of the lesson.

About Princess Tutu Artober 2022

Hi everyone! Before getting back to the birthday drawings self reblogs and self reposts, I wanted to address this year’s artober one more time.

I’m ... floored. You all have left me speechless with the incredible support you have given me during the past month of October- and yet still! I keep seeing notes on my Princess Tutu fanarts and it doesn’t fail to make me smile so much it hurts 😭

And to the ones that decided to follow- Welcome!! 🌸🌸🌸 I hope you like what I post from here on as well, since I jump from fandom to fandom every artober at least 😅

I’m gonna blather a bit about the artober, it’s process and the music I listened while drawing, under read more so this post doesn’t take even more space...

“Fun” Facts about the making of artober 2022

- I do NOT know German, so the process of choosing the prompts wasn’t as easy as I thought (my apologies to every German speaker that reads this, I tried)

- After almost (emphasis on that) having the prompts ready I did tiny croquis of each of them... and if some happened to have more than one version, the solution was to show them to my mom. She’s a good critic what can I say

- I redrew this two from scratch because I noticed Fakir’s pose was broken when I had already made the lines in ink 🙃 (none of these is the broken version, I did not take a photo)

- This time I actually didn’t take many photos of the process... I kind of just went gotta go fast 😅

- (I actually cried while making some of the drawings)

- I was constantly looking at the episodes and official model sheets for reference

- Listening to music is almost a constant when I draw, this time was no different. Apart from that lovely compilation in YouTube of musical pieces used in the series, here’s a silly thing I made with some of them

And here’s where I stop! Cause there’s an image limit and I can keep talking forever if no one stops me (I have things to do, why am I like this)

I now disagree with that post that went something like "to make high schoolers laugh post pandemic you have to kill someone" because when I was clocking out of work today I overheard my coworkers, two high school boys, joking around. One said "hey bro...literally me when im making pizza..." He was in fact making a pizza, that's our job. They both laughed like beavis and butthead and repeated it a few times.
