Radioactive Hero (but not really) au
Danny moves to Gotham, hear him out! There's really good jobs there that pay through the nose and the cost of living is cheap!
Plus, the city is riddled with heroes and vilains! It's so easy to slip under the radar!
Unfortunately, there are so many civilian casualties. Like, all the time. Even in Metropolis!
So Danny, for his first year in Gotham, opens small portals to the Far Frozen and gets schooled on being a field medic. None of his powers can really be used for healing, but they can make people feel better. He just has to be careful to be as far removed from the Phantom moniker as possible, so he can't use any obvious powers.
He gets a bit of a reputation in Gotham; a small time hero of the people, for the people. A hero not invested in fighting, but in dragging civilians away from the danger. He doesn't even have a moniker; people are too busy arguing over the best one for him.
So while aliens are attacking both Metropolis and Gotham, Danny is out in full kit; a gas mask to hide his face, all black, repurposed kevlar from the vests the GCPD did not properly dispose of, no identifying markers.
But one of the clean up crews notices something insanely worrying; the geiger counter they have to point at alien spaceship parts? Yeah. Yeah, it's going off when they point it at the new small-time hero.
That hero's power is radioactivity. Holy shit. It's not at a level that will hurt people, but when he's dodging through fighting the level goes up.
The clean up crew concludes and shares via Twitter that the medic-hero is only a danger to others if he gets too stressed.
Word spreads fast, and pretty soon the absolute second Danny shows up on a scene, all fighting stops.
After all, no one wants to piss off the living Nuclear Bomb.
Basically, Danny's ghost-everything sets off Geiger counters, and now absolutely everyone is convinced that the medic-themed hero only refuses to fight because his meta power is just...being radioactive.
But he isn't.
So now, because it's the perfect cover and completely disassociated from Phantom, he has to play along and pretend like yes; that is his power.

Spiderman au (stoncy)
Jonathan makes sure to check that the ally is well and truly empty before he pulls his mask up. Christ, he wouldn’t have become Spider-Man if he’d known how hot the suit would be. And not in the fun way people like to joke about. He chugs his water, and debates pouring some over his head. Sadly he needs it to hydrate. He slowly drinks the rest like a good superhero.
That’s still insane to him. Even after years of experience, he still sometimes thinks he’s going to wake up and it will all have been a bad dream.
Nancy told him she got into investigative reporting after her best friend went missing. She was found a year later, body deteriorating inside the restricted area of a government lab that had faces a chemical leak. A leak they tried their best to cover up.
Her first article is under someone else’s name. He’s read it. It’s incredibly good for a seventeen year old burning with righteous fury. It’s obvious that she was meant for this, built for finding the cracks and burrowing deeper until she pulls the ugly truth.
He respects her deeply. He just wishes that he wasn’t the crack she’s focusing on.
“You’ve spoken to him though, Jonathan,” she says, eyes pleading. “If anyone could get me an interview, it would be you!”
And have her recognize him instantly? No thanks.
“Nancy, seriously. He doesn’t want an interview.”
“But if I could just talk to him-”
“No, Nance.”
He knows her first regret will always be Barb. Her second, though? The ex-boyfriend who also went missing after agreeing to some extremely shady treatment for his terminal cancer. Unlike Barb, she never got closure for that one. She still doesn’t know what happened to him. She tracked him as far as the facility they’d taken him to, but it exploded long before she got there. Presumably with Steve inside.
He knows she still holds out hope. They never identified his body she’d whispered to him once after too many drinks at an office party. I checked the records. They don’t know for certain if he was still in it.
The next day she told him she knew it was a stupid wish. Even if the explosion hadn’t killed him, the cancer would have by now. But he knows Nancy. She’ll never stop wondering.
“So how’d you get yours?” Deadpool asks, swinging his legs cheerfully over the ledge.
“My Chimichanga? You gave it to me.”
He can practically see Deadpool roll his eyes behind his mask. “No, smartass. Your powers.”
That’s a loaded question. If he’s too specific it would be easy to find out who he is. But it’s not like it would be with anyone else, is it? Deadpool’s a hero too, no matter how much anti he puts in front of it. And they’re friends, or something like it. Friendly enough for him to let the other man slap his ass at least.
“I got bit by a radioactive spider.”
“No,” he gasps, whipping his head towards Jonathan. “No fucking way. Seriously?”
“I’m being completely serious!” He promises, starting to laugh. It really does sound ridiculous out loud. “I was on this field trip at the place my mom’s ex-boyfriend worked at, and it got out and bit me!”
“Field trip? Oh my God, you were a fucking baby. No wonder your mom broke up with that guy.”
That sobers him up quick. “He was actually a really nice guy,” he says quietly, looking down at his hands. “He, uh…he died, actually.” Saving my brother, he doesn’t say. The failure still bleeds in his chest. He should have been stronger. Bob didn’t deserve the way he died, ripped apart by the Green Goblin because they’d been after him.
His mom doesn’t blame him, but she should.
“Shit,” Deadpool swears, reaching towards Jonathan as if to comfort before thinking better of it and pulling away. “Shit, I shouldn’t have said that, sorry. Me and my big fucking mouth.”
“It’s more trouble than you’re worth,” Jonathan agrees, and ignores the protest that gets. “What about you? How’d you get your powers?”
Deadpool takes the deflect with grace, eager as Jonathan to get the awkwardness behind them. “Oh, me? Great story, you’re gonna love this. So I was dying from cancer, right?”
He wasn’t expecting that, almost choking on the chimichanga he’d taken a bite of.
“Gross, man. Chew it, don’t spew it.”
“You have cancer and you’re out here doing all this?”
“I had cancer,” he corrects. “Terminal. There was no saving me, yanno? And I…well, I got desperate.”
Jonathan sucks in a breath. He knows exactly what kind of things desperation lead to.
Deadpool huffs a laugh. “Yeah,” he agrees, even though Jonathan hasn’t said anything. “Stupid of me, I know. Shoulda just kicked the bucket like a respectable motherfucker. But no, I just had to track down some shady research facility that promised to try and find a cure for me. You know how that goes, right? But, well…” He raises a fist, dropping it slowly down before he opens it near his thigh, making an explosion noise with his mouth. “Rock fucking bottom, amiright? I was gonna die anyway. Why not add human experimentation to my bucket list?”
“So it worked?”
“So it worked?” He mimics, in a high-pitched voice that sounds nothing like Jonathan. “I’m still here, aren’t I?”
“How’d you get superpowers from it?”
“I was getting to that. So it worked, right? But the cure they used…it wasn’t designed to stop the cancer. Not really. No, what they did was turn me into a mutant. I’m basically an X-Men by now. X-Man? Point is, not dying did not come naturally. And once they brought it out of me, they made sure to test it. Again, and again, and again.”
Suddenly his chimichanga doesn’t look too good anymore. He hands it to Deadpool, who takes it with enthusiasm.
“Thanks, man, how’d you know I was still hungry? Anyway, I escaped, obviously. Took the whole organization down with me. By the time I left, whole building was in flames. Now I’m hunting down the survivors.” He takes a bite. “Y’sure you don’ wan dish?” He asks through a mouthful of food.
“I’m good.”
He swallows. “Your loss, I guess. This is fucking delicious. Sorry to be a moodkiller and run, but I’m afraid I have an appointment with a very small, very blind landlady. Toodles!”
He leaves Jonathan there at a loss for words. He can’t even make a sound to protest. All he can do is watch as Deadpool jumps straight down from the roof, only barely bothering to slow his fall so he doesn’t break his leg. Not that it would matter much if he did. Jonathan stays on the roof, processing, until he hears a woman cry for help a few streets away.
He hits his web-shooters. Crime never sleeps in the city.
It’s only when he’s in bed that he realizes he’s heard that story before.
The next time he sees Nancy, he’s a mess.
“You ready to shoot?” She asks, setting a coffee on his desk with a smile. It falters when all he does is stare back. “Jonathan?”
Ready to shoot? Right. Photography. His job. His job he works at with Nancy. Nancy, whose ex-boyfriend may or may not be the guy who has slapped his ass and flirted with him on numerous occasions. Fuck. He’s going insane. He’s losing his fucking mind. Deadpool probably isn’t even Steve and all this will be for nothing.
“Your ex-boyfriend,” he blurts out. She rears back, startled. “He had cancer, right?”
“Steve?” She shakes her head, not in disagreement but in confusion. “What does he have to do with anything?”
“Did he?”
Her mouth twists in displeasure. He doesn’t blame her, that was a terrible fucking way to start “Hey, your dead boyfriend might not be so dead after all!” He wishes he could bang his head on his desk without cracking the table. “I’m not talking about this.”
“Nancy, wait,” he starts, and she shakes her head again.
“I’m going to see if Fred is free, actually,” she says, and hurries away. He groans, and lets his head fall onto his desk anyway. One tiny crack won’t matter, right?
It’ll fit in with all the others.
Nancy avoids him for the next week. By the time he sees Deadpool again, he’s even more of a mess.
“Spidey!” He greets, blood dripping off his sword. “I know I ask this every time, but I just gotta check, man. You seen anyone named Brenner around?”
“Still a no, sorry.”
He sighs, wiping off his blade before sticking it back in the sheath. “Worth a shot.”
“Do you ever talk to people from your old life?” Jonathan blurts out. “Before you became a superhero?”
Deadpool shrugs nonchalantly, but he can’t pass off the tension in his shoulders. “They all think I’m dead,” he says. “It’s better that way.”
“Didn’t you have a girlfriend? Or friends? Parents?”
“Friends, not really. Parents, no. Girlfriend…she’s better off this way.” He says, counting on his fingers. He laughs bitterly. “I stopped talking to my parents before I even got diagnosed, and my only friend was my girlfriend. I dumped all the other ones for being assholes after…well, some shit went down, and they were real dicks about it, that’s all I’m gonna say.” He turns to Jonathan, suspicious. “Why the third-degree?”
“What’s dying like?”
“Pretty chill, actually,” he says. Jonathan turns to look at him, and he gets the impression Deadpool is grinning. “Don’t get me wrong, the dying part? That fucking suuuuuucks. But Death itself isn’t so bad. I usually just chill with Her for a while before She sends me back.”
“...Her?”
“Oh yeah, The Lady loves me. We’re besties.”
“You’re besties,” he repeats flatly. “With Death.”
“What? Like that’s so hard to believe, Mr. Radioactive Spider?”
He’s got him there. “What’s Death like then? The…Lady, or whatever.”
“Well, first of all, she’s a massive lesbian.”
Jonathan should have known nothing that came out of his mouth would be fucking normal. “I’m leaving.”
“No, wait!” Deadpool grabs his arm. “I’m being serious! Death is a lesbian, she loves birds and prefers to go by Robin, and we’re apparently soulmates.”
“…are you a girl?”
“No?”
“That doesn’t make any sense.”
“C’mon, Spidey, open your mind.” If he could see his face, he knows that bastard would be smirking at him. “We’re not romantic. She actually hated me at first. I mean we’re literally tied together by the universe. Whatever souls are made of, hers and mine are the same.’
“Is that Emily Bronte?”
“Look who paid attention in high school english!”
He misses his bed.

hey guys im thinking of a spiderverse dndads teens au.
SCARY/SPIDERLOCK a goth punk seeker of darkness that is practically a warlock. but only lame-os call her spiderlock— she prefers to go by her alias, Scary. she gained her supes cool spider powers by letting herself be tested on by some dr. asshole stampler in a lab coat. except now she like, has to save the city from villains. TOTES LAME. she’s a scene queen in 2003 and is the bitchiest spider person around
but Terri Marlowe is a snarky blonde teenaged girl who still plays soccer— just with a scowl. Her mom is married to some asshole ALSO named Terry and he just doesn’t get her!!!!!! UGH!
CHAINLINC/ SPIDERLINC is a big-city big-heart boy. it’s 2023 and lord, everyone needs saving! so he goes around and saves people as best as he can. usually he attempts to kill villains with kindness, but that mean roundhouse kick can kill them in a different way. he was born into a long line of spider-people, and continues the chain. (hence, his name). his city is never without a hero!
but Lincoln Li Wilson is just some sissy with 2 dads and a hero complex, that is surprisingly good at soccer. His dad Grant hides some killer secrets— but he does too.
SPIDER-KUN is a mecha-hero! he’s always around and in the year 2053, he needs to be! he’s japanese inspired and never is without a manga on the side, just incase the fight is boring! he was bitten by a radioactive spider, and knew that he had to fulfill his ANIME DESTINY to be a HERO.
but Taylor Swift (not that one) is just a lame kid who likes anime and manga just a bit too much— he has confusing lineage, but a kick-ass mom who voices dubs like no other. Taylor likes to imagine he’s popular, with a cool group of friends, but really… he’s not.
SPIDEY THE SPIDER is a super fun mascot that helps his suburban town in 1993 from strange monsters that plague the streets due to a nuclear plant just out of reach! he’s the school mascot-turned hero, and everyone adores him!
but Normally Oak Swallows Garcia is anything but. He’s the actual mascot, but everyone says that he should quit, since whoever is behind the mask is, like, way cooler anyways. But his boyfriend, Hermie Unworthy, from his rival school, will always encourage his dreams

it gets long again, but I swear there is actual superhero cadina au info, I actually got into the au not just how I came up with the au.
also a word of warning, when I was trying to figure non spidey au cady's backstory and powers, I made a joke about cady being bitten by a radioactive lion and my friend went crazy for it so we ran with it. I know its absolutely wild, but I think I made it actually work so bear with me.
general cady superhero non-spidey cadina au details
yes, cady was bitten by a radioactive lion so she has lion powers and shit; super strength/1000psi bite force, super agility/36 foot horizontal leap, yell real loud/roar, night vision, super senses, 46 mph top speed, claws because who doesn't love a woman with claws; these aren't really powers, but her head hair gets a lot more volume after the bite which is cool but on the downside the rest of her body hair starts getting kinda thick- its not super super thick, its just thicker than it was-, she needs more sleep, she has this need to consume a lot of raw meat and also hunt live animals
cady was bitten by the lion in Kenya before the move stateside, actually it was what prompted the move. I have this idea that the lion was some military experiment that her dad worked on and got killed while working on it(not by the lion, by one of his coworkers, im actually quite attached to the lion and the idea of the lion escaping capture and living a normal lion life). This is what prompts cady's mom to move them and cady to use her powers(once she discovers them) to help people like her father would've wanted and also get revenge on the people that killed him while she's at it.
janis and Damian find out about cady's powers because the school janitor dragged her, mouse in her mouth, to them and asked, "is she one of yours?" this is also two days after they meet so they were very close to saying no
when she starts out with the hero thing, she cuts holes in a bandana and wears some very basic clothes, but once janis finds out, she sets out to make cady a suit. janis even does research about body armor to make it protective. the suit itself is (once again, @tatsuyam , not a fursuit) more like a supersuit so its built for movement and fighting, but it has touches of janis' art and is inspired by Kenya and lions. in the way that it has ears and a tail. because her hero name is lioness. what with her powers being lion based and all. in the words of edna mode, "no capes."
Damian helps cady come up with all the snappy one liners a hero needs and also overcome anxiety that comes with saving the general populace and having to talk to them and having to act confident, he helps her come up with her persona, her act if you will
there's a rumor around the school that the person in the mascot suit is lioness but cady hates it because she refuses to go near that thing after janis told her nobody washes it and then regina told her about the time she and Shane fucked in that thing
I will get into regina once I figure out what powers she would have

Akali: Ninja Spider, her dimension's one and only spider person. When not suited and saving lives she's DJ's underground clubs. One night while packing away her supplies after a gig she got bit by a radioactive spider, and since then has been using her powers to help the people of Runterra City
Kai'sa: human bonded to a symbiote and this dimension's resident venom. Misunderstood anti hero who's trying her best. By day she's disguised as a local dance instructor, by night she hunts down bad guys that slip through the cracks. Pairs up with Akali on rare occasions for the really hard to get villains
Ahri: radio show host and "reporter". This dimension's "MJ"(she lives) and "Ned". She helps Akali by tracking police radios and keeping investigators off her tail. Often tells Akali that thanks to her natural charms no one suspects a thing. But don't let the sweet talk fool you, she might be hiding something
Evelynn: Definitely the dimension's Kingpin. Or at least...the women behind him. Eve runs most of the crime and such going on in Runterra City, from smuggling goods, organized gangs, the occasional missing persons. All her. Under the disguise of the original Kingpin, who she took out to take control over everything
I only know the basics and such about the marvel universe(s). But I've always liked Spiderman and the movies were definitely my favorite growing up. Combine that with my love for kda and we get cool shiz like this. Might draw up some spiderverse kda soon

yippeeeee okay id better explain what exactly im trying to write here lmao so like. this whole au was originally just an experiment in mapping the spider-person story onto a morbius variant as a joke bc i liked the idea of him being like "i was straight up bitten by a radioactive animal and started doing vigilante crime fighting can you please let me into the multiverse" and miguel going "NO youre literally a villain How did you get this number" but then it kinda spiralled and now theres like themes n shit
so long story short morgan michaels gets bitten by a radioactive vampire bat on a uni trip and wakes up with some weird mutations but doesnt really take much notice, he just goes about his day as normally as he can until he Fucking exsanguinates someone to Death. and takes it Badly. so then while hes trying to cope with that and adjust to the whole "vampire(?) thing" like. finding a non-homicidal way to get blood. he encounters spider-man and goes Hey! You know what would make me feel less shit about that whole murder thing? Doing that!
so he pisses off to try become a superhero and accidentally gets stuck with the name morbius, fucks around w/ doc ock and almost finds out until spidey saves his ass and morbius goes Hey. Im bad at this. Youre good at this. Can i be your sidekick until i figure out what the fuck im doing? and peter goes Hhhhhmmmmm bc He knows morbius is a villain. hes wearing one of them watches hes all caught up on how his canon works. but maybe this one is different..maybe he can fix him.....as in hes literally floating there in front of him asking to be fixed. so he says Yeah okay ill make sure you dont get yourself killed probably
so theyre doing the whole superhero mentor thing for a while, morgan learns and grows amd theres some cool contrasting moments where he handles shit completely differently than spider-man would and changes the trajectory of some established arcs, until eventually hes off doing basic superhero stuff all on his own and goes Hey that guy doesnt have a pulse. Thats kinda weird. so he tracks the guy to this weird secret rave in a factory basement with all these other dead people and at one point they turn on the sprinkler and its full of human blood? which hes so normal about ofc (<- the lying liar) and then this COOL GUY with a COOL JACKET and a COOL SWORD shows up and starts annihilating everyone and morbius goes Whoa cool! and then this guy tries to kill Him and he goes HEY WAIT IM LITERALLY ALIVE and blade goes Thats fucking weird cause youre definitely a vampire so whats your deal. Come with me so i can figure out what your deal is. so then morbius meets blades cool hematologist friend and cool butch biker mom and finds out abt Actual vampires which, it turns out, he definitely isnt hes something else which just seems similar bc [INSERT COMIC-TYPICAL MUTATION BULLSHIT]
they both get tied up in plot stuff and even though it takes a loooong moment for blade to trust him theyre actually a pretty good team, morbius is used to spider-man treating him like a student and, implicitly, a child so its neat that blade treats him like an Equal (albeit an annoying inexperienced equal w/ bad jokes and a worse costume but still) and turns out they actually have a lot in common? and kinda bond really easily? and maybe this whole "edgy-hero-who-kills-things" deal is working wayyyy better for him than the spandexed paragon thing spider-man has going on and that guy is super out of his depth in these circumstances and needs to stop pushing in assuming he knows best just bc hes a """hero""" and actually hes maybe being a total uptight prick about the no murder thing and who died and made him king of new york anyway?? fuck off spider-man i have a cool new friend who Gets Me and will absolutely definitely never judge me for killing someone or succumbing to bloodlust which is definitely totally 100% true and Not a fundamental misinterpretation that will come back to bite me in the ass.

Hi, I saw your drawings of JamiKali Spider-Man AU, and I LOVED IT!!
How is this AU? And what do you think of JamiKali's Shipp?
OH you just reminded me to add the tag for this AU on other previous posts where I was chatting about it with ppl who sent me asks! The general tag for my blog is ".twst into the spider verse" if you want to check mine and other people's ideas on it in more detail over there!
Second question first: I'm not really into shipping im general, so idk, I don't think about JamiKali much tbh skdndwknd 🏃
And for the first question I'll take this ask as an opportunity to sum up some hcs I have for this AU 👍 but some important notes first:
I personally rather imagine this AU as a magicless/not-so-magic-central kinda world just for simplicity sake, but the rest of twst og lore pretty much remains the same.

Since what inspired me to ramble about this AU was across the spider-verse, I do make a brief mention canon events and a bit of multiverse stuff

Earth 2506 - Kalim as the spider-man of his dimension. Can also be referred to as the desert-spider!
uhh (making up an origin story on the spot right now) considering he comes from a family of influential merchants, maybe they got a great deal to partner up with some sort of scientific corporation, to deal with the business side of their new technologies. Kalim was for the first time invited to one of the meetings, as the heir to the family business, it was about time for him to check in person how things worked on this field. In short, it did not end well. As they walked around the corporation's main labs, one spider subject went loose, and Kalim stood right under its web.
he's very fitting to be a spidey, considering his happy-go-lucky personality, he'd be the type of spider-man to mess around and have a lot of fun playing the role of a hero
(Fight goes silent)
Kalim: well! that was another easy adventure for spider ma-
(Big explosion)
Jamil is the first one to know about this secret identity of course. He covers up any potential slips, as to not reveal this secret to anyone else
One notable thing about spider-man!Kalim is that he can afford whatever hero gadgets he needs. Gotta fix his web shooters? Want a nice improvement on his hero constume? No problem. He got a fair share of contacts from people who'd easily do all of these for him. Even though it is Jamil the one who usually runs after this stuff in his place...
Canon event stuff being losing a best friend? Jamil in this universe actually becomes Venom (maybe he found a symbiote from the same lab the spider came from) and yeah they had to fight. Jamil probably snapped for the same reasons he got his overblot. And this is the part where Kalim learns that with great powers comes great responsibility...
What would happen next? Does he move on eventually after the fight? Will there be other villains for spider-man to stop? How will he keep the secret identity now that Jamil's gone? Well, these are great questions, because- (runs away)
Earth 1209 - Jamil as the spider-man of his dimension. Idk if he'd go by any other variant of a spider-man name
Now that I think about it, his own universe is probably an accidental breach from Kalim's. As in "what if Kalim didn't get bitten at the lab, and instead brought the radioactive spider back home by accident?" then when Jamil took Kalim's backpack he was the one to get bitten instead
Ace happened to be the first one to find out about Jamil's powers after an incident on a basketball game. Their dynamic is funny. It's not like Ace wants to be the "guy in the chair" but if Jamil's secret identity is ever at risk, he'd volunteer to help, no questions asked. And aside from him, Najma is the only other person who knows about this as well. The very moment spider-man made his first appearance in public she knew! She says it's a "sister instinct", or something like that. She'd even offer to help him and make him a proper hero uniform... but ONLY if he agrees to do all the house chores for her for a month.
Najma: you gotta say it first :)
Jamil: (sigh) callforbackup

Perhaps spider-man!Jamil has a puppeteer-like skill that he can use to control a small number of people with his webs!
Leona could be a mentor type of character in this universe. Like Jamil already kinda looks up to him in canon, but this time they are a little nicer to each other loll and I only bring this up because there is no "uncle Ben" for Jamil to lose, but Leona is the closest thing he could have to one, so...... canon event. That also ties up to that spider-man story trope of the hero finding himself in the wrong place wrong time, by the side of the person they just lost, only for a third party to walk in and assume it was spider-man the one who killed them. Having people assume this masked man to have killed a person as prestigious as Leona immediately makes spider-man public enemy #1
And edit: just remembered the point abouve could be Kalim alternatively. Which would be even more tragic to think both Jamil and Kalim lose each other in their respective universes
But what do we do after that? How does Jamil redeem himself after this misunderstanding? What if he just gives up being spider-man? Well, uhhh these are also good questions.... look over there! (runs away again)

your spider bite grossly itched; the two punctures were still rouged from when you first got your powers. you tried to look away but the injury was hypnotic. your thoughts were thrown back to high school and the infamous oscorp field trip.
there you were, standing behind peter parker, the school photographer. you were a columnist for the midtown high newspaper, a bit too mesmerised by your colleague. you watched peter focus his lens on one of the spiders, barely catching something about a spider taken for experimentation. it wasn’t long after that you felt two sharp needles in your hand, you shook the spider off and watched it crawl away.
the arachnid was not the only thing that had crawled away from you, your whole life seemed to be slipping through your fingers. you barely spent time with your best friends, and your grades had fallen from the pristine record you kept throughout high school to dangerous expulsion waters at esu. the worst part was the way your heart ached every time you would see peter wait for you in another restaurant, but you were too busy being a superhero to make the time for him. it was pathetic, you were finally dating your long-time crush and there was a thread worth of actual dates in what should have been a fully knit relationship sweater.
peter couldn’t believe what was happening to him. he sat alone and munched on a garlic breadstick in anger, sinking in his seat. this was the 27th failed date since he started dating you eight months ago and for the past six attempts in a row, he found himself in the same situation. he was internally punching himself for thinking anything would work out for him of all people. peter’s home life was filled with stress and just when he thought his escape to college would be fruitful, he met you. well, he had always known who you were; the quiet student who would rather die than get outside of her circle, but when he finally started talking to you in the hallways of the dorm hall in freshman year, he just clicked with you instantly. the friendship was a gift, the relationship, however, seemed to be another burden on peter parker’s shoulders.
peter walked to central park, watching his reflection ripple pitifully from the bow bridge. if fate dealt hands to everyone, it seemed to make sure peter would always lose the game. he sighed, thinking about why you could have possibly left him again. what if you were busy ? no, you’d let him know beforehand about your availability. what if you got sick ? no, he’d see you miss classes. what was the one reason that had you hiding and escaping him ? the worst thought of them all made him go dizzy. what if you were cheating on him ?
peter was going rounds through the park, thinking of all the memories he had with you and it put into perspective how turbulent your relationship had been, especially surrounding a certain hero.
peter had called you to meet him in front of the daily bugle to walk to times square where he would show you his pictures of araneae on the big screen. it had felt as if you came the second he ended the call. the whole walk to times square, peter carried the conversation and talked about the superhero he took pictures of. he didn’t catch it before, but you were silent and smiling as if you were a pendulum joining and leaving his attention. when you finally joined the conversation, you commented about how you heard about araneae using glass shards to attack kraven, you called it ‘inventive combat.’ peter thought the memory would help him focus on how unfocused you were around him, but his brain was wired to the details. how did you know about the fight with kraven at all ? the paper hadn’t been printed yet and he was the only spectator. peter didn’t catch it before because he was too excited about taking you to see his pictures.
peter rolled back through his memory drive, trying to picture every detail.
on a rare occasion, you had been able to make a date. you had seemed tense, the whole seven minutes you had been there having been spent looking out the window nervously, like being in the same room with peter made you anxious. in his mind, he thought your behaviour was because he could confront you about cheating on him at any moment, but he couldn’t focus on anything before the fight. before you had even gotten your drinks, the windows looking out to the streets had burst and everything felt like slow motion. the shards rained like cascading diamonds; every time they caught the light he was blinded. he turned to where you were crouched but you had vanished into thin air. araneae jumped in front of him, rapidly shooting webs to hold the scorpion to the wall. the hero yelled at peter, “get out of here now !” peter was frozen, still looking for you. “i can’t go, my girlfriend, y/n, i can’t find her.” he scoured the room frantically. araneae had told peter that you were fine and to hurry out. peter waited outside from a safe distance, praying you’d come back to him. araneae had left the scene after knocking scorpion unconscious. you had come out of the bathroom with cuts and bruises a minute after araneae left.
peter had to take a seat on a bench nearby to collect himself. he rethought every moment with you; during every missed date, there happened to be another villain running loose with araneae trying to stop them.
how could he not have caught it before ? your insane reflexes, the way a cut would disappear the next day, how you always knew to pull peter out of danger before anything happened.
you were araneae.
you climbed onto the fire escape, clutching your eye with its ripe wound. you wiped your bleeding nose with your sleeve and grimaced when you felt the liquid soak through, feeling both cold and warm against your skin. you took a long shower to wash off the grime that built up from your fight against kraven. when you stepped out of the shower and were met with your bedroom door hitting your wall when it was forced open. peter ran in, gasping for air with his tie barely in a knot. “i know.” he stood upright, looking towards you for a reaction, his sight instantly moving to your swollen eye. peter walked to you in a hurry, holding your face in his hands, softly brushing his finger over your wound. he quickly pulled away when he heard you hiss in pain. “i fell… in the shower. just slipped and my face hit the tub, it’s a funny story actually,”
“y/n, i’m not an idiot, give me some credit.”
“what are you talking about ?”
“you’re araneae.”
hearing the confrontation was not on your bingo card; it was the most unexpected thing to happen and you fought animal-themed supervillains all week. “peter, be rational. how could i possibly be a superhero ? i definitely don’t have the time for that with esu, and the newspaper, you know me.”
“y/n, you can be honest with me.” you took a deep breath and let yourself spill your emotions. “i’m sorry. i didn’t tell you because you have enough on your plate, always taking care of aunt may and uncle ben, working to help pay for your rent and their rent, being a stem major– i can't have you be worried about me.” peter was still holding your face, the smile he wore gifted you a second surprise for the night. “y/n, you being a superhero isn’t a burden to me. what happens in my life, i’m perfectly fine with it, but being with you always made my day, even if you didn’t show up most days because you’re out saving the day. i was so scared before i realised… i thought you didn’t want to be with me anymore, that was the real burden.” he chuckled. “wow, my girlfriend is a fucking superhero.” he said breathlessly, kissing you. you laughed with him, “yeah, i am.” you pulled out an extra mask you had sewn and let it cover your face. you turned away from peter, offering him the space on your back, “let me take you out for a swing.” peter climbed onto your back, “lead the way araneae.”

secret: What's one secret your OC never wants anyone to know about them?
well obviously the villainy cause like. they will do most anything to prevent that. but the thing hidden in that is they dont want anyone to know their capacity for violence. they try so hard to be good and kind and succeed often but beneath all of it is the ability to put all that away. to let morals and ideals fall to the way and see only what needs to be done. theyve only really gotten like this in the emery sibling au (the au where theyre siblings with @radioactive-mouse 's emery) when they thought emery was in danger and they got. Very defensive. the only thing they cared about in that moment was protecting emery (who is the main reason they ended up a hero at all)

Cursed Z-o-m-b-i-e-s x Spiderman AU or Cursed Descendants x Spiderman AU
………..Ok, fuck it, I’m giving this my best shot
Zombies:
The zombie outbreak was actually more like… an arachnid outbreak maybe??? Zombies and spiders though. “Zombies made by a spider disease~”, whatever ok you get the idea. And the genetics passed on have an Insane variety of powers. Zed just happens to be one who gets web with extremely strong tensile strength. I just. Spider-Zed. SPIDER-ZED C’MON MAN WE CAN’T NOT USE THAT SOMEHOW— this one for me Has to be set in a grimier Seabrooke, like it’s Zombies mixed into Spiderman
This is kind of like the Spider-Man mixed into Zombies. All of the events of Zombies basically occurs the same, except somewhere we get an arc where Someone (don’t know who yet) gets bitten by a radioactive (or moon crystal infected whatever, you get the idea-ish) spider. I’d also heavily agree within this category the existence of just. Spider people. Arachne are just another type of monster and that includes Peter and Gwen and Noir and whoever else from Spiderverses we want. I mostly want that so Addison is bitten by a regular spider and has her usual crisis, hahaha
Descendants:
The Isle has stopped relying on magic in the 20 years away from it. Does Disney have evil scientists????? Does Professor Callahan from Big Hero 6 or the villain in Meet the Robinson’s count? Is Meet the Robisons Disney??????? Ok who cares you get the idea, maybe the kids just learn the power of science. Point is we pull a Garfield!!!! That is, the webbing is synthetic. It’s something all the Isle kids have? This would almost be a war movie by the end I’m realizing, where the Isle has incidentally created this army of radioactive children…
I want Carlos to be the star in this variant for some reason. Carlos the one with the bite, and it happens in lieu of the events of D1. Maybe Carlos does the web as a side project (Garfield-esque), like he originally makes it so he can grab things from his mom’s insanely weird little mansion faster. He’s already been super sensitive when sensing she’s been near, but he always thought it was just trauma stuff. When he gets to Auradon, he starts using it in secret to zip around the city to learn more about it and it’s really helpful. With his tech, Carlos feels useful for once, like he’s not always running away. To the Core 4, he’s the scouter with ~mysterious ways~ of collecting intel. Ben notices him zipping around first but doesn’t tell anyone, but Evie quickly catches second. She uses it as an excuse to sew Carlos his own Spidey suit!!! Soon though, with Auradon’s advanced labs, Carlos can make wayyy stronger tech. And from there I can’t decide if he just makes stuff for the Core 4 or if Mal & Jay steal it (to abuse it for petty crimes and/or schemes to stalk Ben), or really just where to go generally
I guess there’s always the thought too that someone other than Carlos gets these powers, but they’d have a far less tech-y approach. Mal and Jay would absolutely use it from the get-go whereas Evie would hide it because “gross” spider glands make me ugly. I’m even considering Ben now. He’d sneak off into the night with his powers to do some rebellious-ish things, anything to escape the pressure of kinghood so young. I’d kind of love it if Mal began finding/admiring these weirdly unique spray paintings in town and they’re Ben’s

ok spiderman p5 au thing that infests my brain is coming out
mostly based on ultimate spiderman and spiderverse since those are the 2 im super familiar with.
akira is spider-man obviously. after getting sent to tokyo because of the normal p5 reasons he gets bitten by a radioactive spider and gets the normal spider powers (proportional strength, spider sense, heightened agility), with the addition of being able to get a better read on people's thought process (i dont think spiders can actually do this but i wanted to reference the personas in some way) and induce a low level of delusion in other people, making them more likely to tell the truth with a spider toxin thing. you know the deal i can make shit up. hes initially unwilling to be spider-man until stuff really gets bad with kamoshida, and then is only willing to do it whilst disguised to avoid fucking up his criminal record even more. loves actually being spiderman tho.
sojiro is almost unchanged except stuff with wakaba is different but hes still gruff but comes to love akira in more or less the same way as in p5. hates when theres supervillain fights outside his cafe (oops)
ryuji learn's akira's secret immediately and encourages him to be a hero, partly bc he thinks its cool, partly because he thinks he has a responsibility to use his powers for justice of some kind, partly to get back at kamoshida for being a massive piece of shit. he stays akira's best friend throughout his time in tokyo and almost has his side.
ann is 2nd to learn akira's secret and also encourages him to fight kamoshida (im getting to him btw). She designs the suit as well and makes it with akira. she also wants akira to be a hero but is much more cautious and worried about things than ryuji
i have no idea what to do with morgana but im thinking hes gonna be another superhero, idk what tho. probably like a shapeshifter or something? more thought is required.
Kamoshidas like. a superhero who double times as a teacher, still an abusive shitbag but now hes like publically worshipped. hes akiras first big fight after akira spreads the truth about him with calling cards and gets him to admit to his crimes publically, at which point he has to run away in shame. partly i based him on kamoshidaman (although i dont actually know anything abt pq2 im just assuming) and also mysterio in far from home.
shiho is basically the same except ill bring her back into the story later for something. havent planned that far ahead. she will date ann tho.
most other characters i only have vague ideas for, such as makoto having an alive father (nothing bad could happen to a police captain father in a spider man story surely) and futaba developing tech for akira. its the only way i can think to get him webslingers tbh. for akechi i have something cooking as well but im writing a fic for this so i kinda dont wanna spoil that bc i think its cool. im trying my best to be accurate to the characters personalities ut akira will probably be more quippy than usual bc it just feels wrong for any spider man not to quip. so yeah. other than that i think he maps onto spider man pretty well tbh, hes got the public hate campaign, the saviour complex, the sense of justice, hes stylish and hes got a social life going on to manage at the same time. haru also has some specific stuff i wanna do with her.
also this is a marvel like au so other superheros exist but its an americacentric phenomenon however the phoenix ranger feathermen are real. idk what ill do with them but they are bc it felt wrong to only have like 2 superheros. there might be others too. idk. maybe its more of ust a superhero au with specific marvel ideas. wahtever.
if i had the time and skill to do art for this id love to do it in the style of the original p5 intro with limited colours other than red and black to white spectrum. it would look cool and set it apart visually. also it would look a bit like the guy she was intereted in which i love visually so yeah.
anyway yea this is a pretty specific crossover so cant wait for no-one to care but yea ill update this with more later

I’ll talk about both since I hold all my au’s close to my heart lol, also thanks for the ask! I love getting them.
Spider on the wall, is my shameless spider man au, I rewatched the movies and was like wow-time to add my hyper-fixation into this.
Jim gets bit by a radioactive spider, big shocker.
And everything goes horribly wrong when he tries to handle it on his own. Bular’s gang of T.R.O.L.L.S are terrorizing the city, demanding money from citizens, trying to take over from the underground, totally normal bad villain stuff. Toby and Claire end up finding out Jim’s acting as some crazy vigilante because man’s shows up half dead, bleeding out outside Toby’s window.
After they find out, they want to help obviously, they end up getting into a lot of shenanigans when Blinkous and his husband Aaarrrgghh find out what they’ve been up to as well. Only adding the chaos.
Such as breaking into a top secret laboratory and perhaps, accidentally freeing a nasty little symbiote on their way out. That may or may not attach itself to one of them, Claire’s just been having a really bad nights rest these past few weeks, she’s totally not out there causing property damage and being a host for a dangerous alien unwillingly.
And if Toby happens to find this weird green serum in the basement of Arcadia Corporations, plus a cool hover craft to go with it? He always wanted to be a hero anyway and it’s not like the serum will change him in any way. Especially not when Jim’s life was in danger and he couldn’t just stand around so injecting himself to help protect his best friend definitely will not have consequences.
Not to mention if he repeatably continues to use it.
I have such little of it written and I want to write to more but I feel like it’s corny, because it’s literally Spider-Man, been done a trillion times and I want to add my own personal twist but I’ve just got to figure that out.
Okay so now, Bite back.
It’s a one shot right know but, it could definitely be expanded into separate fics. The gang head out on patrol the night before Halloween. (it’s not really slotted into the timeline, but Jim’s a troll already.)
They got reports of some weird looking troll trying to attack people and running rampant. They eventually find the troll or whatever it is because the closer they get the more it becomes apparent that this thing clearly is not a troll.
It lashes out at the gang and tries to attack Jim first.
Jim’s troll skin is a bit too hard to penetrate, so when it’s knocked unsuccessfully backwards with a flaming war-hammer the monster decides to choose another target, Claire managed to portal Toby out of harms way but that makes her last the of the trio close enough and the monster ends up gnawing down on her arm instead.
Thankfully Jim kills it soon after the monster gets ahold of her arm, unfortunately it wasn’t soon enough.
They don’t realize exactly what the creature was until the full moon rises on Halloween night and suddenly, Claire really isn’t herself anymore. Who knew werewolves were in Arcadia?

You heard about Spiderman!Izuku and Spiderman!Katsuki now what about Spiderman!Aizawa where he got bitten by a radioactive spider during 2nd year of Middle School but he kept it a secret because people (especially the Hero Society) will get suspicious on how he got a second "quirk"
He still uses his spider powers but only when he's in his Spidersona.
Yes, he's a vigilante (RISE VIGILANTE!AIZAWA LOVERS) only when he's in his Spidersona. And he's a little bit better in handling with his capture weapon since his webs and scarf are both for use of trasportation and in battle (His capture weapon is made out of his silk and other durable fibers, same thing with his Spidersona costume)
For some reason, Nedzu knows about his identity (of course he knows it's Nedzu) He first told Aizawa that he's aware of his identity after 5-6 months in 1st yr of High School. He also decided to help Aizawa with upgrades and support items that can help him with his spider powers
He got fangs now too.
Teenzawa isn't really muscular and everyone that knows him knows that so Nedzu made strength limiters to limit his spider strength to his original strength (though, he could still carry a car if he wants too even if he has his limiters on) because imagine you see this short little man who could barely carry a large crate of milk then the next day you see him effortlessly lifting a car up with no sweat
His Spidersona name is Phantom Silk :] (Shiruku for short)
Aizawa's canon event is Oboro's death (His dad if this is also an Alive!Oboro AU)

Nedzu: you already know
Oboro: (Alive!Oboro AU) Aizawa saved him from the falling debris with his web
Hizashi: Aizawa accidentally used his silk web when Hizashi almost fell during their private training (post-Oboro death)
Nemuri: Aizawa was tired that time and didn't knew he was walking on Nemuri's wall to the ceiling
Tensei: he's suspicious about Aizawa but didn't pry
Mrs. Aizawa: swore she saw her son crawling on the ceiling but she was sleep deprived back then so she thought she was hallucinating
