“He makes me feel beautiful. Not the superficial kind either, but in a way that makes me proud of who I am. In a way that makes me think he cares about my soul first and foremost.”
This book was an enjoyable read with a fun plot reminiscent of Disney. It's a slow burn, and it took me a while to warm up to the character Rowan due to his initial rudeness and controlling behavior. However, I appreciated seeing his growth and his appreciation for Zahara's uniqueness. Zahara's character development and her relationship with her sister Ani were highlights for me, as well as the representation of people with disabilities.
I love the main characters of this book. The main characters were engaging, and I liked the easy-to-read writing style.
Looking forward to reading the rest of the series and hoping for more mysteries.
I am also hopping that the characters from this book make guest appearances in the rest of the books. 💞🙌🌟
Favorite dialogue:
"But I want to risk falling in love anyway in the hopes that we create something beautiful together. Like a diamond built under pressure, with flaws that make us stunning. I want that kind of love with Rowan. The one that is as passionate as a wildfire and as long-lasting as a gem."
