Slenderman has been following Toby practically his whole life, despite not showing himself to Toby until he was a teenager. He’s the reason behind everything going wrong in Toby’s family life, fucking with his father’s mind to make him a terrible person, I’ve already explained how he caused Lyra’s death, all of that stuff. He does this with all his proxies, screwing up their lives from day 1 so that he can mold them into the perfect psychopath he could ever ask for. If a proxy fails to meet these requirements however, they can often become targets to kill, especially if Slender has shown himself to said proxy.

Kate & Toby

Toby sees both Clock and Kate as older sisters that love to tease and tolerate him all the time.

They're the only women in his life that he's around the most every day. Jane is closer to Toby in terms of relations, but considering time spent, Jane isn't available most days of the week.

Toby is always trying to get Kate to warm up to him, and have heart-to-heart talks. But Kate isn't having it one bit.

She's constantly trying to shove Toby away, both physically and verbally, sometimes she'll snap her teeth toward his outstretched hand if he's been bothering her too much.

Their first encounter with each other was Toby introducing himself and Kate hissing at him.

He'll casually try to side-hug her or pat her shoulder and she'll shove him off with a grumble.

It's basically a golden retriever and black cat relationship with those two, and Kate absolutely loves telling Toby to do stupid shit because he absolutely will do it.

Like when Kate betted that Toby couldn't put his own foot behind his head.

Yeah, that went well. (It didn't).

But as much as she hates to admit it, they've all got a family dynamic going on. And she would put her life on the line who any of those dumbasses that annoy her so much.

She might be cold, occasionally growl at him, and maybe even send Toby to near-death experiences, but she loves him like a kid-brother.

Y'know, in that traumatizing older sister kind of way.

Slenderman/Proxy/Operator Sickness lore for my AU

Slenderman is rarely ever seen physically. He often appears as hallucinations to his victims/proxies. The only places Slender can actually physically appear in are specific places where there’s a gateway between his dimension and the normal dimension, which are usually found in abandoned places, forests, or places where a lot of tragedy has taken place. Very rarely are humans able to go through to the other side however, because only creatures from the other dimension are able to cross safely & accurately. You’d need the help of one of the creatures, be a ghost, or be severely ill with the Operator Sickness.

Even so, it is still not uncommon for humans to fall through these gateways at random, they just won’t reach the monster’s realm. If you fail to cross through correctly, you’ll instead be sent to the Backrooms, a whole other dimension that’s in between the monster’s & the human one. It’s sort of a blend of both, the reality of the human & monster realms seeping into the open space between, mixing together to create a whole new dimension. Creatures from both worlds can fall through the gateways to this place on accident, it takes a large amount of power for anything to cross through right.

Humans don’t possess this power, & that’s why they can’t cross through. The only way to harness it would be to have the Operator Sickness to a fatal degree, as I mentioned before. But that power is the whole reason you’d die in the first place; the human body isn’t built to handle that energy. Like a form of radiation, it would slowly kill you if you had too much of it. The only exception to this would be if you were a Proxy. Proxies are only barely human, their entire state of being down to their DNA being rewritten and changed and corrupted to Slenderman’s liking.

If you're a shy and an empathetic person then your stay in the mansion can be hell,that's why you should stick with the ones who can make your life a little bearable

Even lone wolves like EJ and Bloody Painter don't stay alone for long periods of time.If you're isolated for a long period of time you might hear the static again..some say it's Slenderman who doesn't want his creeps to be alone because the eldritch might care about them,some say that it's because their loneliness can get into their quality of work and it would piss him off

Besides the blood and the desperation,most creeps keep themselves clean,but you might see some residents like Jeff who can wear the same pair of sweatpants for 7 days in a row

If you need money you can simply go to Ben,he will either order what you need for you or make himself useful and get you some cash,altough he is a little fuck and wants something in return even if it's HIS JOB to provide the residents what they need.Maybe a blowjob under the desk will do

Drugs are easy to obtain,even Nina has a bottle of something hidden inside her room,you just have to know what you want

One of the top unspoken rules between the residents is to never,in under any circumstances,never enter another creep's room without permision,the only keys that are provided are to proxies rooms.
