Story Prompt 16
In a world where shadows whispered secrets and the line between right and wrong blurred into a smoky haze, there existed a figure. This being moved through the tapestry of life, unseen yet profoundly present. Neither a hero nor a villain, but something altogether different.
They navigated the dance of existence with a quiet grace, observing the ebb and flow of humanity. In the bustling city, where stories unfolded on every street corner, our mysterious character became a silent spectator.
A series of events unfolded, drawing people into a web of choices and consequences. Our figure would find themselves entangled in the narratives of others, an inadvertent player in the grand theater of life. Each encounter left an indelible mark on their soul, yet they remained resolute in their commitment to neutrality.
There were moments of temptation, whispers from the shadows urging them to embrace the light or succumb to the darkness. Yet, they resisted, for they understood the delicate balance required to maintain harmony in a world teetering on the edge of chaos.
As tales of love, betrayal, and redemption unfolded around them, our protagonist became a beacon of paradoxical serenity. A confidant to star-crossed lovers, a witness to schemes and conspiracies, they existed on the fringes of reality, a silent guardian of equilibrium.
In a pivotal moment, when the threads of fate seemed irreversibly tangled, our character faced a choice that would alter the course of their existence. The line between apathy and intervention blurred, and they found themselves standing at the crossroads of destiny.

what does the ‘tme’ mean in ur bio? sorry if this is a dumb question
tme means transmisogyny exempt, as in i do not experience transmisogyny. tme as a category includes cis men, cis women, nonbinary people who are not transfem, and trans men. i am a nonbinary person who is not transfem. hope this makes sense!

When he plays the cello it is breathtaking. Bathed in the multicolor glow of an intricate stained glass window looking like a porcelain doll as a sickly sweet ballad of misery sweeps through the room. He knows fully well that he has laid a trap his opponent and partner cannot resist, both men know it, and yet the beautiful creature dubbed a "demon" by the tainted sinners of the world walks right in. He welcomes the bite of the metal teeth that close around his legs, and still comes to gaze at the cellist like he hung the stars.
Neither speaks until the musical piece is finished.
"My sister plays the cello," Osamu finally says, looking like a man ruined. Fyodor thinks it is a blessing to have such a saintly being look so utterly wrecked by his playing, yet he still reaches a hand out to cup the cheek of the man kneeling at his feet. And Osamu does not flinch away but instead he leans into the touch, his soft breath sending feather light sensations across his exposed skin.
"And yet you always look as if you are experiencing its beauty for the first time," he responds, watching the other nearly shake apart at his voice.
"How can a demon not fall in love all over again when he witnesses something divine?" Osamu counters matter-of-factly, as if he's saying the sky is blue. He says it with such assured confidence that Fyodor finds his breath being stolen this time, and is once again gently reminded that they are both sinners worshiping their idea of the divine. Thus, as a sinner, he cannot resist leaning in to steal a tender kiss. When they pull away Fyodor realizes his mistake as he tastes the syrupy sweet poison he has just been dosed with.
"Did you really think you'd get me with a poisoned kiss?" he asks.
"Why, whatever do you mean? I simply made some of your favorite raspberry tea."
Fyodors reaction is immediate, unable to stop a grin splitting open his face. He reaches down and releases the iron that is biting into his partners leg

4 for Fred for the comfort character ask?
comfort character ask meme
4 - what about their personality i like
i've mentioned this before, but fred and the evolution of his character/personality over the course of the franchise is sort of a special-interest-within-a-special-interest for me, and i'm always so happy to get to talk about it!!
i love the fact that, essentially, he's been made more and more distinct and enjoyable over the years by the writers just dialing up his enthusiasm to eleven. he's the leader of mystery inc for a reason, and that reason is he has the intense focus, planning skills and gung-ho attitude to land himself and his friends in a new mystery every week!! that and just how much he cares and believes in his friends' abilities, even when sometimes his control issues get the better of him. i love how, in the be cool episode gremlin on a plane, he realises that sometimes being in control means knowing when to hand the reins over to a member of his team more experienced in a particular skill. those little moments of growth for him are really cool to see!
continuing the point on enthusiasm, it's hilarious and so charming to see the writers' ability to take his enthusiasm and apply it to so many different things, especially in the movies. traps! summer camp! the circus! space! cheerleading! the list goes on!!! it never feels forced, it's more like you routinely meet up with your neurodivergent friend for coffee and they have a completely new hyperfixation every time that they're dying to tell you about. not having a consistent thing became his consistent thing, and i am so here for that kind of chaotic characterisation!!
aside from that, it's whole a bunch of little things that i like! how he's crazy talented with his interest in traps/mystery solving but sometimes lacks common sense and social skills. how he seems well put together but can be so very unhinged (/affectionate). how he hyperfocuses and fails to take care of himself (very relatable). how genuine and dorky and undeniably autistic he is overall. truly no one is doing it like frederick herman jones

trying to figure out character voices for my ocs and I think the one I have the clearest picture of rn is taituk. they speak…not quite stiffly maybe but definitely a tad formal. more connective words & full sentences than most people use when speaking. they’ve got the admirable habit of just letting silence fall until they’ve thought of the right thing to say, very little uhming or use of other filler words. they tend to be overly specific rather than vague—e.g., instead of saying something is rare or common, they might try to give a numeric indication of how rare or common it is. they talk quite slowly and quietly, but can make themself heard if so desired. absolutely hate shouting. they prefer to speak calmly, and if they’re in an emotional situation they will wait to compose themself until they know their voice will be level. because of this they can seem emotionless to the untrained eye, but they’re just good at hiding/repressing them lol
