Imagine Pro Hero Deku at the Hero Expo signing, taking pictures, and talking to fans. He kept seeing the book repeatedly when fans were asking him to sign it for them. Curiosity got to him, and he asked what this book was about to get a recommendation to read it himself because it is an incredible story to read.

Later, he found the book being sold from one of the little shops set up in the plaza. They were selling specifically three books with a similar appearance to himself and his friends on the cover. He found out by conversing with some fans who hadn’t seen him yet and thought he was a cosplayer. The three books were connected: The Demon Prince, The Dragon King, and The Mage.

He ended up getting all three books for free. He just asked to sign the Mage book and take a picture with them since the seller refused to take money from him.

However, once he could recover from spending three days at the expo with fans. He started to read the book during his time off for the week.

You better believe Izuku read all of those books within a week because they were fascinating and detailed. It was a coincidence that parallels his life story. It was much later, after he finished the book, that it left him on a cliffhanger from the last book, which was The Mage. He went online to find out if there was another book coming out.

To find out, these books have come from a fanfiction website. Someone else had taken the original work and changed their names on the physical copy. Izuku assumed that it was the person he interacted with back at the Hero Expo.

The original creator of three books took all of their work down immediately after finding out that their work was being sold at the HeroExpo. The last post on their Twitter account was:

“Sorry for the inconvenience. I will not be uploading my work again. I would like not to be sued by the three biggest heroes of our generation.

Most of all, those books were published without my permission. Those physical copies of books sold at the Hero Expo weren’t by me."

To the horror of the original author of the books, they were trending on all social media platforms.

The fans wanted to know what the hype was about behind the books that had been taken down. People were sharing summaries about it and talking about it. Others expressed sadness that someone ruined it for everyone who would have loved to read it.

It didn’t help with the viral picture of Shoto reading ‘his’ book, The Demon Prince, at his favorite cat cafe while drinking tea.

The Deku, Dynamight, and Shoto fanbase are terrifying. Many people were harassing them to put it back on the website because they wanted to read it.

Within a couple of hours, the original author deleted their account.

However, it stayed in topic of conversation for a long time.

pro hero Midoriya hc: he has a letter mailing kit so he can write letters back to fans that send him letters. He also has a super fancy letter opener to open fan mail with because "they took the time to write me such a nice, sweet letter" and "I would be damned if I didn't treat it with care."

He also reads every single letter he gets and sends one back. As a pro now he makes it his duty to the the kind of hero he would have wanted to meet as a kid :) so he takes extra care when writing response letters.

izuku slurps the last of his soba noodles loudly and obnoxiously, and you playfully push him on the shoulder.

"hey, enough slobbering all over my nice furniture," you tease. he laughs, lips still a bit wet and salty now pressed all over your face the moment he places his bowl down on the coffee table. the two of you are together for new year's eve by some administrative miracle with bellies full and in a spirited mood, in matching pajamas with the tv on, but you're no longer watching anything on the screen. instead, izuku now lays nearly entirely on top of you save for his arms propping up just his chest so he can take you in fully - your sweet, unmade face, undone hair, wanting gaze and slightly parted lips. you can feel your face warm, and your breath slow, and you ask him why.

"what are you looking at?"

izuku lets his body lower a bit more, but not enough to suffocate you with his weight and smiles.

"you."

"take a picture," you mean to be witty, but he smiles and rolls with your playful resistance and replies, "there would never be enough."

that gets a gentle scoff from you but he places a palm softly on your cheek, and you can feel your heart begin to race.

"i love you," he reminds you, as usual.

"i love you too, izuku," you answer automatically, truthfully, but you realize his eyes are shining a bit more than usual. suddenly emotional yourself, you let your hand caress his face too, one hand first, then two.

"i love you," he repeats again.

peeling your hand off him gently, he takes the fingers of your left hand in his palm, and kisses your knuckles, each finger one by one, enough that you can feel his love in every peck. you blink, then swallow thickly, hoping he'll tell you exactly what's on his mind and he does.

"i want us to be happy for a very, very long time."

"we will be," you whisper. a hope. a promise. a desire. a demand.

"we will be," he repeats. "every single new year. you'll always be mine, and i'll always be yours and the world will always be ours."

you smile, scooting yourself up to sitting, your eyes not leaving each other as your shirts go over your heads and your desire for each other overwhelms you.

“ARE YOU STUPID?”

When Deku saw you walking into his hospital room he wasn’t expecting you to be shouting at him about his lack of intelligence.

Before he could even form a response you were grabbing onto his face, inspecting every inch. “Like what the hell were you thinking”, you mumbled as you continued to check for any visible injuries.

“I was thinking I was doing my job”, he retorted, his cheeks squished in between your fingers.

Dropping his face you gave him a look, “you unnecessarily put yourself in danger today don’t even”,

Leaning his head back he sighed,“You sound like my mom”, as soon as the words left his mouth he regretted them, wished he could throw them right back where they came from.

“If being someone who loves you and cares about your well-being equates to sounding like your mom then so be it”, walking over to the wall you grabbed his chart, reading over his injuries.

“I don’t think your supposed to have that”

“Oh my god you fractured a rib?” Eyes widening you looked at him before continuing to read the chart. “Shit babe I think you’re gonna be home for a while”

“I’ll just go see recovery girl I’ll be fine”, before you could argue with his statement he rushed out “and I’ve broken a rib before, it honestly sounds worse than it is I’m okay”

“Izuku”, crossing your arms you looked at him like you wanted to argue but decided against it since he was in the hospital. Instead you crawled up in the bed next to you, being careful not to brush up against him too much.

“Thank you for being here”, he said softly, reaching out for your hand.

Looking at him you playfully rolled your eyes “of course I’d be here, couldn’t have you convincing the doctors to let you go back on patrol today”

Chuckling he nudged your shoulder with his, “nah, I’ll give it a day”

“You know you should at least be out for three or four”, leaning your head on his shoulder you rubbed his thigh, taking a moment to thank whatever greater power was responsible for letting him see another day.

“People need me”, leaning his head down he kissed your forehead, giving you a small smile.

“You know I do too”, you said softly, looking at him

“You have me”, he replied, like it was that simple.

“I know I’m just saying you gotta remember that. That I need you to come home to me”,

His face softened, leaning forward he pressed his lips to yours, gently reassuring you. “And I’ll keep coming home, okay?”,

Nodding you gave him a small smile, “okay”

The two of you sat in a comfortable silence for a little while before you spoke up, “I called your mom and told her what happened. She’s on her way”

Looking at you his jaw dropped, “oh you’re evil”

Giving him an innocent smile you leaned over kissing his cheek, “don’t put yourself in bad situations and I won’t have to call in the big guns”
