#like......come on. saltburn spoilers ahead.#horror of love doesn't work because the narrative never decides if he did all this for Felix or for Saltburn #if he killed felix With His Hands in the Heat of the Moment maybe you have an argument. but not with poison in a preplanned murder #if the love was for saltburn then we should have gotten another gothic theme - the house as a character #the house as a character doesn't work because it simply isn't #i don't think we ever learned the actual layout of the house and it never was The Other in any scene #the walls aren't even the colors of his eyes!!!#horror of grief doesn't work because he's never out of control #he doesn't kill the others because he's out of his mind with grief. he was Always Gonna Do That.#and also your protagonist isn't an anti-hero because there is literally no point that you're rooting for him #ms fennell please tell me what you think gothic means #anyway what saltburn needed was - more homoeroticism more blood and more of him being a little sex freak #that probably still wouldn't have made it Gothic but it would have been an improved film

How many of your character details/qualities did you plan for your cast to have no matter what the asks were, and how many were just pure improv inspired by asks and you just decided to roll with it? Like, was Mosy always going to be fluffy? Was Zeus always going to have stripes and touch aversion? Were they always going to have litters of 3? Was Oops always going to exist for Cali to have a seeing eye mon? Or did you see askers that just hit the right vibes and committed to it?

Aside from personality and general appearance a lot’s been improv. Most of it was really vibes and adapting some asker ideas into the story. I feel like with ask blogs you gotta learn to be a bit adaptable to new situations askers may present, sometimes it’s for the better ;D

Mosy was always going to be fluffy, them even stating it’s what they wanted all the way back when. Zeus’ clone stripes were always gonna be a thing because I love the clone stripes they’re so interesting. They were not going to be touch averse though. I figured given Zeus’ personality and the fact that they had never experienced physical contact before and then were immediately spammed with it was a recipe for disaster

So Zeus’ touch aversion is completely due to askers gg guys you broke the cat /j

#oops wasnt a thing at all #Zeus and Mosy were always going to have the mittens but the litter of 3 didn’t come about until Skins got involved #who knows what else the future holds #lots of going with the vibes and trying to have a good time while also sticking with the preplanned story #ask #puzzled-zebra
