I'm trans also and I definitely agree with you and your trans friends, it's out of control. There's a difference between recognizing a bad thing (like the flaws in HP regarding different demographics) and another thing completely to literally hate a stranger just because they didn't jump off the Hogwarts Express because of JKs views. We're allowed to enjoy the world and hate the creator. That's totally an option.

When it comes to people bullying and harassing people online, even kids who are at an age where they shouldn't even be involved in things like this and should be happy to just play a game they like, telling those children they are horrible people and should off themselves when all they wanna do is play a game about wizards and magic...(yes, happened to one of my cousins when she tried playing the game...she's only 12...and she was told to off herself by a trans ally...)

I had a friend of mine call me up crying because she wanted to play the game, she is a big potterfan, but was scared to, she's not transphobic but was afraid of getting bullied and accused of it. Our one friend who's trans just told her, "Buy the game, we'll play it together"
