Finally organized the Arthur injury/incident chart into something actually presentable! Red are for things that would definitely leave scars or other noticeable evidence, orange are too unspecified to say but could have left notable marks.

Bonus 85: How we made vowel plots with Bethany Gardner
One major thing that makes accents and languages sound different from each other is in how people pronounce their vowels. We could examine vowels by training our ears to pay very close attention to these differences, and many linguists have, but another way of getting a new perspective on these vowel distinctions lies in creating visual representations of the precise and subtle variations on how individual people make their vowels.
In this bonus episode, Lauren and Gretchen get enthusiastic about making visual maps of our own vowel spaces with Dr. Bethany Gardner. Bethany is a recent PhD in psychology and language processing at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee, USA, and importantly for our purposes here, they’re really great at making graphs in R. We talk about Bethany's PhD research on how people learn how to produce and comprehend singular "they", how putting pronouns in bios or nametags makes it easier for people to use them consistently, and how the massive amounts of data they were wrangling as a result of this led them to become good at making all sorts of graphs. We also talk about how Bethany went from the full Lingthusiasm audio and transcripts to 400 teeny-tiny labelled audio files of Gretchen and Lauren saying particular key words to calculating two important numbers for each vowel that we said and mapping them out on a graph.
Get a sneak peek of the final vowel plots for Lauren and Gretchen in the shownotes for this episode!

I think what really gets me is that, while Nicky clearly has the memories of the OG timeline it's still not the actual life he lived. Him wanting to connect with Glenn on a father-son level is filtered through so many layers, of that original idealism of their initial relationship, of their current relationship of parental figure.
And Jodie has changed too. It's not too much of a stretch to see how the demon reveal has changed both of them, and them alternating between which experience/memories they want to seek out. Which experiences they want to let define them.
But with Glenn and Nicky, I also feel like there's this sense of Painful Self Awareness with their actions. Glenn distances himself from Nick's life because he can tell he's negatively affecting him, and Nicky leaves Taylor's life because he doesn't want to put a target on his back. Their motives are both to protect but they don't consider or acknowledge how much those same actions can also harm.

this is incredibly specific but my headcanon for post-el camino brba stuff is that jesse pinkman settles down in alaska and has a carpentry job and listens to like. radio talk shows while he works and eventually he gets into podcasts because there's more variety and stuff yknow. and skinny pete and badger have started a mildly successful podcast where they just talk to each other about shit and jesse finds that and listens to it religiously because in a way its like hanging out with his old friends

Dork Radio: Chart Attack podcast
'In the penultimate episode of Chart Attack season 1, we’re taking it back to 2014 and discussing the explosive beginnings of 5 Seconds Of Summer.
We look at their rapid rise as their debut single ‘She Looks So Perfect’ hit the top spot on release, almost unheard of for a rock single in the 2010s.
But their popularity came with its pitfalls, and we explore the backlash that followed their success as the year went on.'
