Like. imagine being a kid living on the street. And you're in pain all the time and it's cold and you're hungry. Being small helps you climb up windows and sneak into attics and basments to get away from the rain, even if you get cut on a piece of rusted metal and have a fever for a week, And taverns are your favorite, because you get to hear stories and see new people and maybe even eat something warm and people almost look at you like you're worth something.

And imagine you meet this group of pirates that let you talk to them and tell the most intresting tales you ever heard and when you ask to come with them, They let you.

imagine you finally get a name, and a family, you get to go on adventures, but more than that you have food, and you have shelter, and people around you listen to you talk and ruffle your hair and give you hugs and tell you you're doing a good job.

Then imagine the worst night of your life happens, and you lose everything.

Suddenly, you are back on the street scavenging for leftovers, suddenly you have nowhere to go hide from the rain.

suddenly the shopkeepers yell at you when you try to sneak into the building for the night, and when you're shaking with a fever, curled up in an allyway there is no one to hug you, to ruffle your hair, no one there to pick you up and tell you they love you. No one on the street cares what your name is.
