This appeared to me in a vision last night I needed to draw it

Been storing up a bunch of doodles of these dudes and just never posted them

!! MAJOR JRWI EPISODE 114 SPOILERS AHEAD !!

I just had a sick and twisted fucking thought about episode 114 and I need to share it to the world.

Okay, so Chip realises his mistake- trusting Gillion's clone and failing to see the red flags because, well it's Gill (I could go on a rant about this too)- Gillion's clone has pushed him to the ground and is towering over him. If Chip could bleed, his nose would probably be bloody.

And at this exact moment, where Chip can't use his magic to defend himself and his best-friend is threatening to kill him- we cut back to the real Gillion, who is running up these flights of stairs away from a monster that could literally breathe on him and end his life, he's on 1HP.

AND HERE'S THE THING. HERE'S WHAT I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT.

Destiny's Blade glows in Gillion's hands and whispers that, 'Chip is about to die.'

Gillion- with zero hesitation- goes running to find him and save his life.

THIS SCENE HAS SO MANY LAYERS TO IT- YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW, MAN- ISTG.

So, for starters, Chip is undead- he physically cannot die, or at least not very easily; I'm guessing that it would take an incredibly powerful, god like entity/bad guy to actually end his undead life now. And yet, Destiny's Blade says that he's about to die.

The blade itself was designed for slaying the undead and the evil entities Gillion himself was designed to fight against- but when it comes to Chip, there's nothing Gillion wouldn't do to protect him with this sword. And that reflects on Destiny's Blade, I would imagine- the blade supports Gillion's destiny, his fight for good.

And to add to this, I don't know if Chip actually could've been killed by clone Gillion- but the idea that he came close and that the sword instinctually reached out to save his life is just- WRAH.

It also highlights just how scared Chip was, because he couldn't fight the clone even if he wanted to, not only because of the magic barrier- but because it's Gill, his co-captain, his best-friend, his paladin (a pirate and his paladin I'm sorry- I love them sm lmao).

And yes, Gillion is known for taking ridiculous risks to keep his friends safe, willing to take every blow and keep fighting like it doesn't hurt because he's a knight, he was trained for this, this is what he's good at- but he runs to find Chip, ON 1HP. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH- THIS MAN WAS IN PIECES, HIS SKIN HAD BEEN TAKEN FROM HIM, AND IF NOT FOR THE DEATH WARD HE PROBABLY WOULD'VE DIED. But he runs off to find him anyway, no hesitation, no thought of his own well-being, only that Chip is in serious danger and he needs to save him. He won't let him die twice.

PRAYING THAT SOMEONE READS THROUGH THIS TANGENT TBH BECAUSE I'M GOING INSANE RIGHT NOW- I'M SORRY THIS IS SO LONG LMAO 😭🙏

honestly still can’t get over the fact that gillion told an ancient divine tree that one of his best friends calls him babygirl. what level is this on the allegations meter.

thinking about how edyn was described as having an identical face to gill and chip found it attractive. thinking about chip using gills inspiration before they even met meaning that they were connected to eachother in some way. thinking about "chip you take 38 psychic damage as you realise what you are". thinking about how chip being instantly attracted to any woman ge meets might be for show (comp het or smth i never read any dialogue on destiny islands) thinking about how the nat 20s in the nat 20 kiss were for how genuine the kiss was. thinking about just how much they care about eachother. that only gillion was able to put chip back on the path to being a pirate and pull him outta his funk. thinking about the fact that chip was more concerned about gill's safety around felipe than jay or gillion himself was.

tl;dr: chibo never beating the allogations

Personally, I absolutely adore the paper and bookcloth combination on this bind. I got the cloth a while back for free and I’ve been waiting for a chance to use it, and then my friend Cam got me this paper as a gift! It seemed way too perfect to not use!

This was a very exciting bind, because it gave me the opportunity to try something completely new, gilded edges!!

Although it didn’t turn out perfect, I’m still super proud of how clean it ended up. Plus, I personally think the flaws make it better :D

The typesetting here was very exciting for me. A few months ago Ty held a tattoo contest for the fic, and I couldn’t not use them when I saw the two finalist designs. So I went ahead and contacted the artists, and they both said I could use them!!

Fucks me up to think that Chip thought an amazing grand prize would be a date with Gillion during the scam carnival bit. Like he was legit going "yeah a date with Gil id pay good money for that. Its a perfect prize." Bbg I have awful news concerning the allegations

and then something in my mind clicked, neurons were changed and distributed. can you see the vision im having with triva..... silly x silly.......

There's just something so special to me about Gillion not even considering that Chip is undead and must therefore be evil- as he's been taught all of his life.

Idk man, just feels to me like one of the first ideas Gillion has escaped without question, because he knows it's wrong, even though he was raised to believe it was right.

And that's something that comes from the heart. His heart.

And this isn't just a FnC thing either, because it would be the same way if Jay's heart had been ripped from her throat.

They're family- and Gillion would never hurt them. Never. Not even if they were evil and dark and everything he was taught to put an end to.

Not if Chip is a liar and follows his worst urges sometimes, his selfish urges.

Not if Jay withholds the truth from them, strategises like an oversea soldier, disagrees with her co-captains' ploys and plans, their pranks and fights.

He would kill for them. He would kill all the things he was taught were holy for them. He would give up his 'destiny' for them. He would sacrifice himself, if it meant saving them. Give up an entire world he was born to save, to save his best-friends, his co-captains, his family.

Gillion would go down with the ship, because he knows that Chip would still reach for his hand, and he wouldn't let go. He knows that Jay would dive in after him, try with all her might to drag him back to the surface, even if only one of them could breathe underwater.
