#8 Pocket Coffee Gelato

Più cattiva, armata di una borsa termica nuova e pronta ad assaggiare tutte le novità che trovo, sono lieta di annunciarvi l'inizio della seconda stagione di 🍦✨Mermaid Emily IceCreams✨🍦. Ben ritrovatə, vi auguro una dolce e fresca lettura.

Quest'estate sono stati annunciati davvero parecchi gelati che si rifanno a biscotti, dolcetti, snack, bibite e quant'altro ben conosciuti. Una delle novità della Ferrero è lo stecco Pocket Coffee che va ad affiancare i cugini stecchi Rocher (classico, fondente e Raffaello) dell'anno scorso.

I quattro mini (mini. ma mini, mini, mini) stecchi che troviamo si presentano con molta semplicità: gelato al caffè variegato al caffè, ricoperto di cioccolato al latte e pepite al caffè. Quello che vorreste è, per caso, un gelato al caffè? Avete scelto lo stecco giusto! Il sapore viene già accennato nella copertura al cioccolato, spessa e croccante, con le pepite di caffè che ci ricorda subito la copertura dei cioccolatini. La Ferrero ci promette un gelato fatto con caffè 100% arabica, questo io non posso confermarlo ma posso assicurare il sapore molto presente anche se, sinceramente, non trovo tutta questa differenza di sapore con la più vecchia e classica Coppa del Nonno. La variegatura, poi, è una cosa che non capirò mai: ormai la maggior parte degli stecchi che assaggio che la variegatura sia presente o meno cambia poco. In questo caso poi, dal momento che è allo stesso gusto del gelato (e, diciamocelo, nemmeno aggiunta con della vaga parsimonia), non si capisce bene quanto effettivamente influisca.

Appena scartato sono partita prevenuta sulla dimensione dello stecco, ma devo dire che stiamo parlando di un gelato molto corposo e non proprio leggerissimo. Se fosse stato della dimensione standard degli stecchi, forse, si farebbe fatica a finirlo. Nel complesso assolutamente un buon gelato ma senza infamia e senza lode, diciamo che la Ferrero ha fatto il compitino senza puntare a sorprenderci.

I have not been posting because I am still suffering the consequences of burn out. I had a bit of a mental breakdown about it yestersay, but honestly I cannot do much right now to fix this other than to listen to my body and try not to make this worse. I do appreciate some burn out tips if any of you have some. Today I started my new class, and although it's an early class that requires me to go back to my 4.40 am routine it went well. The professor gave me a great first impression, we are 6 people in total so the vibe is very chill and I am looking forward to learn more. I am trying to embrace the excitemenet of the new class as much as I can since as I said I am still not at my best. My goal this week is to try to recharge which means that aside my lecures I won't be studying anything yet, I have a couple of activities planned in order to keep myself busy and hopefully rest my brain, but I am going to do my best to set good boundaries. Take as many breaks as I need, do not force myself to do anything and healthly comunicate this to the people around me. I almost guilt tripped myself into plans that felt like too much and as soon as I realized what I was doing I explained to my ftiend what the situation is and she was very understanding, which makes me feel good because it means that I am surrounding myself with people with whom I can communicate clearly and honestly, and that I am comfortable enough with myself and other people to set the boundaries I need. Lastly in this update I have a goal of being more mindful of my body, because ya kid has backpains again which means I need to do something. The plan is to do stretching exercises every day, go on a little daily walk as many times as I can, and treatin myself to finally getting the armchair I have been thrsting over for years. I need to have a place in my room where I can read in a comfortable position that is not lying on my bed.

Do you play animal crossing? ✨ It helped me connect with both friends and creativity over the pandemic, so I easily put in over 1000 hours. It's dear to my heart and I return every once in a while to check on my villagers. Happy home paradise is still one of my fav ways to wind down in the evening, too~
