im trying to get a vibe for urban fantasy stuff, with a primary focus on werebeasts and vampires (with my personal interest + favoritism being towards werebeasts but im trying to get other opinions) SO

i've been into world of darkness as my intro to urban fantasy, where werewolves are honestly kind of a terrifying mystery to vampires, beacuse they're nigh-unkillable monsters that come out of nowhere and slaughter whole groups of vampires for unknown reasons (in reality, werewolves are half-spirit and smell the inherent touch of the cosmic nihilism on them). so it was a SURPRISE whne i found out that it seems more common for werewolves to be underdogs (no pun intended) compared to vampires; sometimes physically weaker when transformed, often easily beaten by vampires, and usually lower in a hypothetical food chain

what's your general assumptions for what vampires and werebeasts generally are

how do you usually assume they wind up interacting

how do you assume vampirism works vs how werebeasts work; is they diseases, supernatural conditions, or just a way to exist. (for example, werebeasts are born the way they are and resent people thinking they have a sickness or that they need to be cured)

what do you imagine their respective powers are bonus question, what do you assume their place in society is, if any as a default???

sometimes spite is a powerful motivator and today its motivating me to crochet

long story short I saw a cool bag on pinterest while I was looking for crochet patterns but there was no fucking pattern but one of my friends found a pattern for a similar but not quite bag so I watched an hour long video, transcribed it into text, and am now gonna make a wholeass backpack just because Sunflower Vibe
