So, as promised, I'm gifing the scene that made me believe that Tommy was already in love with Buck. He know it's too soon but he can't help it.

So during the dinner scene, Buck talks about how Bobby is like a father to him, and then Tommy start opening up too. He starts talking about his complicated relationship with his father.

And the moment Tommy starts talking, Buck "drops everything" to listen to Tommy (metaphorically but also literally because he immediately dropped the cutlery he was holding to give Tommy his full attention):

Then he listens to Tommy very carefully, with a little bit of concern until Tommy cracks a joke and Buck goes back to smiling.

I'm not sure Tommy has ever been with someone like Buck, who looks at him like that, who's so attentive, listens to him carefully and makes him feel like he's a priority.

Tommy is comfortable with Buck and can be open him and share his vulnerable side (how he was jealous of the 118, how he wasn't always out and was lying to himself, and here, his relationship with his father).

I think Tommy already has strong feelings for Buck and feels so good with him and comfortable and he trusts Buck and Buck keeps proving to him that he's right.

the progression from "there's a morning snack and a midday snack" and "20 bucks for pizza" buck looking after his friend's kid to "bobby's famous lasagne: 6 types of cheese cooked to perfection" buck cooking for his family to "that's makes me your sous chef" teaching his kid how to cook is making me go so feral.

don't look at me, I started another bucktommy wip 🙈 istg these two inspire me like no other ship ever has lmao the problem is i can't finish anything bc I constantly have new ideas

this one is inspired by mgk's song "twin flame" bc it was stuck in my head and it makes me think about the invisible string theory, and I'm a little insane about them clearly haha - I have most of the dialogue outlined so now I just gotta write the fic around it and hopefully it'll be done soon and I can get back to all the other ones lol I feel like for each writing game i post a snippet of something totally different 🙈

He’s so focused on admiring every little feature of his boyfriend’s face, thinking about how much he loves him and wants to spend forever with him, he startles when suddenly Tommy turns his head, his blue eyes on Buck now, smiling softly.

“You okay, baby?” he asks, a hint of concern audible.

“Yeah.” Buck smiles, his hand on Tommy’s chest tracing small patterns on his pec over the fabric of his t-shirt. “All good.”

“You sure? I’ve felt you stare at me for like ten minutes straight.” Tommy raises an eyebrow.

“Can’t I admire my hot pilot boyfriend for a minute?” Buck answers and adores the blush on Tommy’s cheeks, the sound of his laughter filling him with warmth and affection
