I want an entire era of Buck and Tommy being shy and nervous around each other. Not because they’re uncomfortable, but because the affection and energy they show one another is so obviously genuine that it’s staggering.

I want Buck visibly blushing at random texts from Tommy while at work, and the others tease him about it. I want Tommy desperately wanting to impress Maddie and win her approval, him hounding Buck about the things he should or shouldn't say (Buck finds it adorable, by the way), and it being completely unnecessary because Maddie approves of Tommy instantly.

I want them both going in for a kiss at the same time and nervously laughing before one of the other takes the lead. I want one of them anxiously alluding to the other that they can stay over after a date night.

I want Tommy giving Buck flirty compliments and Buck blushing and not being able to respond which just makes Tommy proud of himself.

I want their first time exchanging gifts to be a nightmare for Buck because Tommy sends flowers with cards and he doesn’t want to disappoint when in reality Tommy enjoys seeing him panic and would take and appreciate anything Buck gave him.

They're just soft 30+ year-olds who deserve… they just DESERVE

I want Tommy to be a menace to Buck about calling himself an Ally. I want an inside joke to just be whenever they’re going on a date he just throws out that they can “pick up chicks” while they’re out. I want him to take Buck to Tractor supply as a date when they have baby chicks in. I want him to lovingly tease Buck about the rainbow Instagram posts and pride flag emoji.

FIREPILOT HCs: Hurt/Comfort Edition

Tommy tries hiding a twisted ankle from Buck but Buck catches it SO fast. He immediately becomes Worried!Boyfriend. He makes sure Tommy gets comfortable in bed (despite Tommy swearing he'll be fine alone). He makes sure Tommy's leg stays elevated, and that he gets hydrated, and snacks, and all the kisses and snuggles.

They have heartfelt and meaningful conversations about their traumatic childhoods. Buck's the one who opens up first, maybe tells him about Daniel. Tommy follows soon after. Tommy would follow Buck anywhere.

Buck has Bad Days where when he wakes up he thinks he's still trapped in the coma dream. Tommy holds him and swears that it's real. That he loves him. That they're real. Buck cries a lot and babbles incoherently but eventually exhausts himself back to sleep with Tommy keeping him safe.

Buck hears about a Harbor helicopter getting into a crash and practically vibrates out of his skin on the ride to the 217. In his panic he forgets phones exist. When he gets there, Tommy's fine. The accident was from somewhere else, a miscommunication. He rushes into Tommy's arms all upset and Tommy presses firm kisses to his head. "It wasn't me, I'm okay. I'm okay baby, I'm so sorry you got scared."

Tommy's life is split into two categories: Before Buck, and During Buck. He really doesn't want there to be an After Buck.

Buck bakes Tommy a birthday cake from scratch on his birthday and Tommy cries because he never had a birthday party growing up.

Gonna black list the word "Hamster Wheel".

If Buddie never goes canon and Buck, in season 15 of the show, is happily married (to Tommy, or someone else who's well written and matches beautifully with him), adopted a kid, bought a house, has a dog and cat, slowly but surely dealt with all his trauma and anxieties, is progressing in his career and taking on new responsibilities, and has healthy and loving relationships to friends and family outside of work - the hardcore Buddie stans: "Nope, he's still on that damn hamster wheel. It ain't good if it isn't Eddie."

doing two in one bc it's technically wednesday already idc lol - started a new wip I mentioned before (inspired by this video lol) and rn I'm rewriting what I wrote yesterday bc the past two days words were not wording and I hated everything I wrote, but I think I'm happy with it now haha I hope I'll manage to write it like I want to bc it's sooo good in my head istg haha (wasn't gonna post until i have more but i need validation before i drive myself crazy over this lol)

It started as a random idea, more like a throwaway thought, really. Tommy was just checking the weather for the next few days – his hot pilot boyfriend always likes to be prepared – while they were hanging out, and he casually mentioned that “it’s gonna be nice on Saturday, perfect barbecue weather,” which got Buck to mention how they often have family barbecues at Bobby and Athena’s. Somehow, the conversation spiraled, and Buck’s not sure who threw out a more concrete idea, but here they are now, standing side by side in Tommy’s kitchen, preparing food – Buck’s currently slicing veggies for a salad, while Tommy takes care of the meat – for the barbecue where they invited way too many people than Tommy’s backyard can probably fit. It really is nice weather, the sliding door leading from the kitchen to the backyard open and letting in warm sunshine and a soft breeze that makes the air feel cooler. They work in pleasant silence, the only sound is quiet music playing from the speaker, and Buck can’t help a fond smile when he hears his boyfriend hum along, so off-key Buck’s not sure he even knows the song, but it’s still adorable.

The silence is disrupted by the doorbell ringing, and before Tommy can even move, Buck is dropping the knife on the cutting board, wiping his hands, and sprinting towards the door, shouting an “I got it!” over his shoulder. He’s followed by an echo of Tommy’s fondly amused chuckles. So he’s a little excited, sue him – they haven’t had a family day like this in a while, and there was only one he brought Tommy to, all of their schedules not so easy to align. And today his whole family will be here, including their spouses and children, and Tommy invited a couple of his friends and their families, too, and it’ll be just a big, loud, chaotic get-together that he’s hosting with his boyfriend. Buck never hosted one of these before, and he’s really enjoying it so far, and he just wants everyone to have fun.

Buck and Tommy are in the middle of nowhere enjoying their vacation together. The world is at peace for now, and so are they. But sometimes Buck can't stop worrying about the future — especially if a hot pilot has a chance to be in it with him.

If I read ONE more post about how Josh deserves a boyfriend too (insinuating that could be Tommy, so Tommy and Buck can break up and Buddie can go canon), I will go "You know what? You're right." And then write Josh/Eddie out of sheer spite.
