The first half of season 2 was reallllyyy good.
Then you get to the second half and it’s just the plot of a criminal minds episode but only with the victims…

It’s Overdue.
I have to start with an apology. I've been remiss. I should have reached out to you all ages ago. But to be honest, I didn't see you, not clearly, not like this. here. now. in person.

Supernatural lost its edge for me when they decided to move on from Sam’s psychic power and demon blood addiction storylines. Actually, watching any season after season 5 makes it hard to believe that it’s even the same show anymore. Season 6 had its episode here and there, but overall?

I hate how The Originals writers dumbed Marcel’s reasoning for wanting the Mikaelsons dead down to
“Elijah tour my heart out and his brother stood by and watched!”
When we already got his honest and more logical reasoning in the last two episodes of that season.
His speech in the bar and his conversation with Klaus and Elijah on the bridge in the following episode were explanation enough. He gave them nothing but brutal honesty and displayed much deserved outrage towards all of them. Especially towards the two of them.
They knew he was right which made him taking the serum all the more problematic for them.
Unfortunately, his overall anger towards them and the effort put into his new transformation both fell flat and obviously no longer held the writers interest.
which makes me hate the Hollow plot a lot more and why I knew even back then that season 3 would be the shows last best season.

This! And I still sit through it because it admittedly does have some interesting characters and concepts. Sadly, they all fall flat or get pushed to the background to make leeway for whatever it is Sabrina’s doing at the moment to boost her ego.
The chilling adventures of Sabrina could’ve been a 10/10 show.
It was dark, campy and creative.
It tackled sexuality, gender identity, sexism, homophobia and transphobia, and to top it off most of the main characters were actually interesting.
Even the mortal storylines at Baxter high were just as engaging as the storylines at The academy of unseen arts… where they studied actual magic and the occult.
And while there were a few small issues that presented themselves in the later parts of the series
the one constant irritation for me throughout all four parts was the entitled, immature, narcissistic, privileged, hypocritical self centered white savior of a main character…

It’s 2024
There’s no way people still think Marcel wouldn’t fold klaus like a beach chair if they had an open space blood lusted 1 v 1.
No plot armor
No emotional attachment

DOOM PATROL FINALE:
Just finished the series finale and while it’s nothing like how I expected it to end…I’m okay with it.
Larry finally letting go of that fear and self loathing to go and find peace with Rama was a long time coming. Why did they have to turn into an alien chemical sun? Idk. But at least they’re together and happy.
Vic finally found himself and has finally come to terms with who he is. He’s more than just a hero. He’s an influence and will go on to inspire so many people and make way for a better future.
I like how despite everything, Laura is still such a flawed character. They didn’t magically fix her or make her do a complete turnaround. She wants to be good but fears that there’s still something dark inside her making her incapable of being anything other than evil. But it’s nice knowing that she’s going to try. That Rita and the others have made some form of impact on her life.
Speaking of Rita, her death didn’t catch me by surprise. I figured she’s either bounce back last minute or get the boot. And as shitty as her send off was, it was very on brand. I’m just happy she found peace with someone… even if it was Malcolm.
Glad Jane is able to live whatever life she wants now. How she’ll do it in space idk, but at least she’s happy. It does suck that she didn’t end up with Shelly, but I don’t exactly hate her with Casey. Her goodbye with Cliff is what I thought would break me. That or how she painted their first meeting back in season 1. Boy was I wrong.
What hit me the hardest was Cliff. That ending? That fucking ending?!? Jesus christ. Wow. Very fitting that the show begins and ends with him. He finally got to spend his final moments with his daughter and grandson while at the same time not missing any of the pivotal moments in their lives. The good or the bad. A bittersweet send off to a flawed but loving character.
Really gonna miss these characters..
Like it or not, community matters. Surrounding yourself with people who care about you enough to even attempt to understand or support you is important. Find your people.
Also
You’re deserving of love. From others but most importantly from yourself. Love yourself. Always.

I hate a character with unwavering morals and the constant desire to do the right thing 24/7. Like, you don’t wanna go apeshit just once? Just lose it a little bit?
I’m saying this after watching Gen V and realizing I would’ve cracked that bloody eyed one armed b**** the second I realized she was messing with my mind for whatever reasons. No talking. No hearing her out. No conversation whatsoever. She would’ve KNEW she’d been in a fight cause I would have floored her.
But that’s just how I AM..

The MCU is just gonna be a multiverse/cameo fest for the next few years or so. That and pushing popular characters into heavily marketed but extremely boring Disney + shows like they’re doing now. This is what people are mistaking superhero fatigue for, nonstop attempts of shock and awe with sub par writing and nothing really pushing the story forward but the possibility seeing or hearing about another big hero who’ll be played by a popular actor on screen.
This is a route DC tried and failed at and I’m glad that James Gunn is most likely 100% ditching the multiverse concept all together with the start of the new DCU.
Anyway, the golden age of the marvel cinematic universe is over. The infinity saga will never and can never be replicated or bring that amount of hype back into these movies. They’re doing a lot of unnecessary world building and concept introductions without giving us time to actually stop and enjoy it and its exhausted just thinking about it.
Really miss when we actually had normal superhero movies that weren’t created as place holders for another three movies that are actually place holders for another 5 shows that are place holders for two more movies that leads to some big viral audience reaction pay off. *YAWNS*
