Lover Pretend Prologue Thoughts: YUKITO

Potential Spoilers Ahead

I AM ONCE AGAIN ON MY KNEES BECAUSE OF THE SEIYUU OF ONE OF THESE MEN! whomstever is in charge of casting over on the idea factory lover pretend team deserves THE SLOPPIEST HEAD OF ALL TIME and/or a warm hug and/or a long nap, whatever they choose because they really did the damn thing with this casting so far!!! like TATTSUN?!?!?! FUCKING SUZUKI TATSUHISA???? MY LOVE????? even if i wanted to hate this guy, i am condemned to love him by way of tattsun's line delivery! of all the characters i've meet so far, he had me grinning from ear to ear just because of the way tattsun sold this character. SUCH A FAN ALREADY! it's just the prologue, i know but dang. tattsun is so good 🥲

so, when we meet yukito, a model, he's chatting with his manager about his itinerary. the little headline that appeared when he was introduced called him a "womanizing ladies' man" and that kinda took me out because i'm like damn, yall can't say nothing else bout buddy? but i mean, they didn't waste no time in proving why they said that because girl look lmao. some woman came up inviting him to party and he was like, dope, everybody gonna be there? and she's all like, :( i was hoping it'd just be the two of us~ uwu. it doesn't have to be a club y'know. so this mf says:

YUKITO IS NOT BEATING THE WHORE ALLEGATIONS, I FEAR!

AND I, FOR ONE,

more importantly, the manager brought some sorta proposal up to yukito and he says it's audition for That Damn Makino Film™️. and yukito's pretty ass says someting really interesting here, first he's shocked that he's even involved in something like this, citing that when he does do film/television (bc again he's a model) it's just for cameo appearances or to be comic relief. that made me think a bit.. but anyway, yukito's appearance sorta ends on that, him pondering on the audition.

overall, i gotta say, i do have a soft spot for the fictional playboy types especially in otome. love when i get to be the one to wrangle a whore in- unnf yesss, baby boy, get rid of the roster so that i can disappoint you in every way! 🤭 lmao, on a serious note, i like him too! i know i think i've said that for the last two guys but WHAT CAN I SAY! so far, they've been pretty likeable but as i keep reminding myself over and over again, it is just the prologue.

note: there was mention of an idol that had some sorta scandal or something and yukito was very firm in the fact that he takes his career very seriously and never does anything to jeopardize it. i don't know if that was just a throwaway line or if that was slid in there because something will come up later but let's put a pin in that for now just in case.

Okay I just finished Mathis’s route in virche… Y’ALL, bruh, bruuuuh, spoilers for his route under the cut

All right I’m sorry but the biggest thought in my mind after finishing that route is, “if evil, why hot?” Because honestly, JEAN…! Jean oh man why is he so attractive? It’s gotta be the butler outfit and the long hair… the uncanny resemblance to linhardt from fe3h is unreal. Why do all the recent otome guys I like recently look like characters from that game seriously??

I knew this bitch was gonna be evil though, he was too good… that or he was gonna die horribly sooo… damn I’m still mad he’s evil 😂 WHY?!? I SO WANTED TO ROMANCE YOU MAN

But oh… Mathis sweetie you’re such a cutie I’m so sorry you’re in this game 💀 like I knew things were sus, but ooh yikes at some of the ending scenes lmao

Can I just say though, the CG of him as a lady? WOW HOT MOMMA, literally thought a new character had suddenly shown up for a second 💅 (the kiss CG looks so goofy though 😂) and even though the context for the last CG is big big yikes… damn hello sir, what tying up long hair does to a mf 👀

Also, just the thought that none of Mathis’s reasons for going after Bourreau were real is hilarious?? Like this bitch ran him over with a car over nothing??? Bourreau probably over here thinking “why tf is this child on my ass so hard????” 😂

Tbh it’s actually not as depressing as I thought it would be given all the trigger warnings and how other people were hyping it up? I guess the baseline for otome games is just waaaaay nicer than I thought it was LOL, I think maybe I’ve been spoiled by even if tempest because I’ve made that my new standard oops

Like, nier automata/replicant was definitely more depressing by the end… though I’ve only done one route so maybe I’ll feel differently after all of them! It’s pretty lighthearted so far besides the violence 🤔

And now I don’t know if I wanna start Lucas right away or let Mathis stew for a bit… I did end up liking Mathis more as a character than I thought I would! But the allure of Daisuke Hirakawa is very strong, mcfucking saint germain still has a vice grip on my ass, and to have another long haired religious man that is secretly some kind of super-human killer? (Mfs didn’t even try to hide Bourreau like COME ON they literally have the same sprite pose?! Also I see those pointy teeth, sus as hell… if it turns out this was a red herring though and he’s *NOT* Bourreau or deeply involved in some way? I’ll eat my pants because damn they got me) 😂

─ I like story based games and otome games! I hate and despise horror and gore. I only have a small group of friends, and a casual relationship with everyone else. I never did dislike someone or had a crush on someone before. My friends had said I was kinda insensitive and too indifferent about some things. They did say I'm nice to hangout and talk with doe, only if I made effort to make friends.

─ making and keeping relationships is hard for me especially if I don't see them everyday like school or smth. I would feel lazy to text them or anything, just not making any effort to start or continue anything. ofc I'd say hi and stuff if I see them but nothing beyond school unless I know them for very long alr. I rarely trust people wholely, just some small doubts here and there, I never act it out doe. I love gossip and drama lol, hate it when I'm involved doe but they're entertaining.

─ I don't rrly know how to react to insults, I just say okay and go. I say thanks for compliments or I know for close friends and family. I've been called dumb so many times I don't even care anymore 😭 I haven't failed any of my subjects except for maths, as long I graduate and don't get hold back everything is good. I'm mentally and physically weak.... and lazy and easily unmotivated. I've been told I look scary doe, ppl. socially awkward, I'm super forgetful, straightforward. I tend to be more honest, I'd feel bad for lying 😰 (sometimes) I have a good poker face so many tend to think I'm saying the truth when I'm just messing with them lol.

─ I like humour and laughing, that sounded kinda weird. I like people with humour, I laugh easily too. I hate exercising and I'm bad with technology which is kinda funny cause i don't think I can survive without any entertainment honestly and also bc they say I'm addicted to my phone sometimes 💀

sebek admires you, not as much as malleus though. you'll be his living diary. late at night you'd listen to him talk about his day and then he'll just fall asleep on your shoulder. i'd suggest listening to him in his room so you can just leave him to sleep when he passes out.

lilia love scaring you. you could be trying to sleep when he appears in your slightly opened closet looking like mf annabelle. it doesn't matter the time, he will go through hell and back if it means frightening you trust me. at some point, he deleted all your apps causing you to faint because your progress?! gone?! however if someone insults you he will roast their ass dwdw.

silver often naps, head resting on your lap, while you play on your phone. no words are spoken, you two just enjoy the presence of the other and that is all there is to it.

your close friend out of your dorm is idia. you two met online and you recklessly told him you attended the nrc and the rest is history. you're over there during school hours so you can study together without going to class and play games until school hours end because you have to go pick up your 'kids.'

I'm curious. What drew you to Oliver?

AH! I love this question. I was going to write out this long ass, 10 paged thesis on how/why/when. But, I will keep it simple-ish.

(I wanted to preface this with, I have a weak spot for being loved by someone who hates everyone else. Like… irl and in fantasy. It hits me hard in the feels bruh. It makes me feel so special!)

I hate prologues of otome games with a seething passion. I just want to start the game and not sit there for 45 mins reading about a bunch of people I don’t know. lol ANYWHO. I actually read Ikerevs prologue (for some reason), and I was falling into the story. It’s pretty damn good for a prologue, and then something happened. A mf runs in and SAVES ME from these weirdos that wanna lock me up. Oliver starts to drag MC away, but she stops and asks questions. I was rolling my eyes, and he goes “Shut up and run.” I was like YASS!!!! Who is this man??? The MC was annoying me with her questions, like hunny….. your running away from people that want to imprison you and he said he was going to get you out of here. Just go! He’s taking you out of danger as we speak! Shes like “Omg he’s so rude!” I’m like…. get over it and run awayyyyy to safety. lol

Then I get to the “Choose your route” screen. Mind you, I never played a Cybird game in my life until this point. I had no friends in this fandom, and I knew nothing if Ikesen. Imagine my surprise when I saw Oliver’s route wasn’t out. I literally almost uninstalled the game XD, but I was thinking “It may be released soon, so I’ll just wait.”

At random, I picked Fenrir. He seemed like the most fun right off the bat and, in hindsight, was the best route to choose for more Oliver content XD. Fenrir was FUN! I really love his route. Dare I say it’s my favorite story so far. But… Oliver stole the show at a particular part. (Now, during this time I was crushing on Luka. And I would later write my first fic about Luka,,,, but I digress.)

The part that made me a stan for life waving “Oliver is the #1″ + “Mad Hatter” flags in the street, was where Fenrir is on the bridge, and they just got back from Oliver’s house getting materials. We see Oliver’s personality shine as a workaholic that prides himself in his work, even if the request is off the wall. He likes to tease but also pushes people away with crass behavior. (I was wondering about this for a while, but I’m sure he’s got a good back story as to why.)

Fenrir tells Alice. “Sorry, Oliver can be boring because he doesn’t talk much. He’s not the best company because of that.” (not a direct quote, but I will find screenshots!)

Alice is confused and states. “Are you sure? Because he was talking to me nonstop.”

Fenrir smiles knowingly and goes. “I guess that little pipsqueak does care about something after all.”

I lost it. I dropped my phone, and my mind lit up with serotonin. Oliver made me feel special. He ticked all my check mark boxes of things that draw me to someone.

I stopped Fenrir’s story and went right to the gacha. The splash of love was going on, and I did it. BOOM I got Oliver’s card on my first try. I literally giggled like a school girl and took it as a sign. Oliver and I are soulmatesssssss.

Downsides to Oliver, his ever-changing body. I really don’t want to date a child or someone that appears as a young child. BUT you have to admit; it does make him vastly more interesting. It’s a big story arch that I’m DYING to learn! His biggest secret. He is not a child though, and we do have to keep that in mind. (Even thought he reminds us constantly.) Even when he appears as a small boy, he is still in his twenties age wise.
