(B) Boo! – How do they feel about surprises, giving and receiving?

Sanji loves buying gifts for his partner and planning surprises for them, so they receive them often. From the smallest of things to the most extravagant of things, if something makes him think of his beloved then it's theirs no matter the price. Of course it's not just about buying them things, their reaction to his gifts make him fall in love with them all over again. It's also his way of showing he was thinking of them. The same with surprises, whether it be their favorite food, prepping them a warm drink on a chilly morning, flowers on their bedside table, Sanji does it all. It's little reminders throughout their day how much he cares for them.

But Sanji receiving gifts and surprises is a whole other story. He's very rarely, if ever, been on the receiving end of them so it's no surprise he's a bit stumped and emotional. His partner gives him a coat when it's cold out? One of those key-chains with his initial on it? Hell, a cool looking shell they found on the beach? Not only has he fallen unbelievably more in love with them, but he's also... touched in a way no one else has made him feel. His Y/N gave him a gift, his Y/N was thinking about him. Now usually he's go off swooning as usual, but this was... different.

Arriving back to the Going Merry, Sanji was relieved to see no sign of his crew members. Finally, he could start dinner preparations in peace and quiet. Right as he sat down the food he bought earlier, a pang of annoyance hits him as the kitchen door opens with a squeak. He turns around and before he could tell whoever it was to go away, the annoyance quickly melts away and is replaced with adoration as his eyes land on his beloved. "Oh, Sanji! I didn't think anyone else was back yet." They say, allowing Sanji to take the bags from their hands once he snapped out of his daze. "Here, let me get those for you my love." His partner smiles lightly at his chivalry, watching as he takes the bags and set them down with the utmost care on the dining room table. "Oh wait, I almost forgot! I have something for you." Sanji does a bit of a double take as he watches his partner dig through the bags. Something for him..? Did he hear them right? He's pulled from his thought by his lover standing in front of him with a smile, holding a small, wrapped package in their hands. He stares at the packing, blinking in confusion for a moment before taking it with a gulp. Sanji pulls away the tape and paper with gentle hands and the utmost care, not wanting to rip a single corner of the wrapping paper his beloved had taken the precious time to wrap. His hands were unusually sweaty, heart thumping in his chest. Sanji's thoughts whirled so quickly in his brain he was barely able to process anything besides the box in his hands and his lover in front of him. His partner stood patiently, allowing Sanji to take his time to open the gift which was a simple act of affection from their part, but meant the absolute world and more to Sanji. After what felt like a millennium, the box was finally opened and inside lay a golden chain with a small, golden pendant of his lovers initial. "I know it's impractical for fighting, you don't have to wear it. With all of the gifts you give me I thought it would be nice t-" Their rambling is cut short by Sanji suddenly enveloping them in a tight hug, his chest felt tight with emotion. "I'll wear it till the day I die, mon coeur."

(Q) Quiet – How are the calm, quiet moments with them?

Quiet moments with Sanji. Gosh, to say they're perfect would be an understatement. The crew is... loud. Everyone knows it. So the only time Sanji and his partner have quiet time is at night, or when docked on an island where the two of them can either stay behind on the ship or explore the island together. Whichever you choose, Sanji would be by his lovers side the entire time with his full undivided attention. If they're exploring an island together, they're the only person in the world that he's focused on and if anyone dares break that focus they're met with the nastiest glare known to man. (think the ones he gives Zoro.) But some of his favorite quiet moments (that he'd never admit) are nights where he has watch duty and his partner insists on joining him, despite arguing that it's too cold out or they need their beauty sleep. They'd give him the excuse that they couldn't sleep or thought he needed a blanket, which is just another excuse to cuddle close to him in said blanket. (like they would ever need an excuse for that) His partner would sit between his legs, curled up against his chest with the blanket keeping the both of them nice and cozy and Sanji would listen to whatever sleepy nonsense comes from their lips before drifting off to sleep. Sanji's heart swells as he's the happiest guy in the whole world, looking up at the stars and holding his lover securely... God help any marine or pirate ship that interrupts this moment.

(M) Melt – What do you do that absolutely makes them melt?

Unlike Sanji, Zoro isn't one to have those melty-swoony moments, at least not to that capacity. There's certainly times where he finds himself in his head about them, watching them do whatever it is they're doing or thinking about little things they do while he trains. They're almost always on his mind. Speaking of training, one thing his partner does that makes him somewhat melt is when he catches them training. Knowing that his partner can take care of themselves when need-be adds an extra layer of comfort and security in Zoro's mind, which is why their relationship flows so smoothly. He cant help the little smirk that tugs at his lips when his eyes find them in the midst of fighting whatever problem they found themselves in, or whenever he catches them training. Don't be surprised if he asks to join them, knowing full well that training together leads to sparring, and sparring leads to... well, let's leave that up to the imagination.

(Q) Quiet – How are the calm, quiet moments with them?

Quiet moments are actually quite common with Zoro, as spoken words isn't the swordsmans strong suit when it comes to love languages. The first time his partner accidentally walked in on him while he was meditating, rather early on in the relationship, they felt awkward about interrupting him. While trying to quietly trying to exit the room, without opening an eye he'll tell them "Don't just stand there, get over here and sit down already." He especially loves when his partner joins him in his naps. Whether it be to nap with him or read a book while he sleeps their company is always welcome. He'll wrap an arm around them and pull them close, then go right back to snoring away with them securely in his arms. He may me a man of few words, but they'll damn know they're always welcomed and wanted.

Smoker SFW headcanons

Guten tag everybody. Writers block is still breathing down my neck, mixed with graduation prep. I’ve also been spending what little free time I have playing Yakuza Infinite wealth, but I wanted to write smth to post for you guys, so Smoker headcanons it is.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

I like to think that hes on the downlow affectionate side. He wouldn’t be too into PDA or showing it strongly in public, but you never doubt that he loves you. He would be more affectionate in private, and shows it a lot through physical affection, like holding you or cuddling you. His favorite is probably pulling you into his lap when he’s working on paperwork, or holding you against his chest in bed.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Hes probably kind of a blunt best friend, but he will have your back and be your strongest supporter if you aren’t doing anything wrong. Gives the vibe that he would also get offended on your behalf. If you have an enemy? They are now his enemy, and they have eternal beef. Friendship would probably start because you are in the same circles, or it’s something that has existed since you guys were kids.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

I like to think he secretly like cuddling quite a lot, hes just not very verbal about it, and would only do it in private when you guys are safe and comfortable. Likes holding you for the most part, keep you nice and close to his chest and tucked under his chin. But he has moment where he wants to be the one to be held, and melts when you run your fingers through his hair.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

He probably wants to do it someday, especially if he’s in a stable healthy relationship. Hes average at cooking but would be great at cleaning thanks to all the experience from the marines.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Another time I think hes blunt, why draw it out and hurt the both of you more than he has too.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Smoker would take a while to propose, but he would enjoy the thought of marriage one day. Hes got some trust issues though, so it’ll take some time before he pops the question.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

He comes across as cold and blunt to most people, but Smoker would probably be quite gentle with his lover thanks to his size and strength. But if you are as strong as him or stronger he’s less worried about hurting you on accident. Smoker would probably also be more emotionally aware than most people give him credit for.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

I don’t think he hates or loves hugs. Its nice to get a hug from you, especially when he hasn’t seen you in a while, but he doesn’t yearn for it like other people do. His hugs can be a lot if you are smaller than him, since hes stature is so big and broad and he just kinda wraps all around you.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

You most likely say it first, since Smoker has some doubts about moving too fast or somehow making it awkward. He also doesn’t say it too much, saving it for when it has meaning.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

I could see Smoker get jealous to a certain degree, and he might even start fights, but that would mainly be if the person flirting with you makes you uncomfortable. Definingly uses his whole marine status to chase off the people who flirt with you, I could also see him sneakily getting you to wear his clothes or something like that if he’s feeling jealous.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

I think most of Smokers kisses are chaste and a bit dry, and all his kisses taste like cigars and smoke. Of course, he also gives deeper more emotional kisses, but for the most part he keeps it short but no less loving. He kisses you on the forehead a lot, especially if you are shorter than him, also has a thing for kissing the back of your hand. He loves when you kiss his chin or cheek.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

I imagine hes very careful around kids because of his size and strength, and he tries not to be too scary of off-putting, since he doesn’t wanna scare them.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Hes been in the marines for who knows how long, so he probably wakes up early and wide awake and goes through his morning routine with practiced ease. Smoker wakes up earlier than you most days, but he always gives you a kiss on the forehead before he goes on with what he needs to do.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Smoker would have a lot of work so he would go to bed late most nights, but he always tries to make it in time so you two can cuddle for a bit and talk about your days. You always have to reminds him to put out his cigar or even pluck it from his lips, so he doesn’t get it all over the bed.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

It would take Smoker a long time to start opening up about himself, mostly because hes a cautious person and since he doesn’t think its stuff worth sharing. But after you guys are in a secure happy relationship, he would open up little by little.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Depends on the situation. In everyday life hes got more patience than on the battlefield. He would do his very best to never get angry at you though.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

Smoker remembers most details about you, his marine training put to good use if you ask him.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

His favorite moments are probably just the ones where it’s the two of you spending free time together, or when he’s got time off from the marines and you two can go on a holiday. If you guys get married one of his favorite memories would be the wedding and the honeymoon.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Smoker is a pretty protective guy, since hes who he is would result in a lot of enemies. If you don’t have any training, he would teach you self defense and different ways to protect yourself. He would be flattered but also worried if you went out of your way to protect him.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

When he has the time off to do so I imagine Smoker likes to put a good amount of effort into special days, like personalized dates or a day in. But it isn’t every time he has the time to do so, but he still tries to show he cares.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

Definitely his smoking and how locked in he can be on a goal. If you have a problem with chain smokers you wouldn’t even be dating him in the first place. He gets so taken with a task like catching certain pirates and whatnot that he would forget about dates and whatnot that he had with you.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

He doesn’t care too much about his appearance I think, but he does try to look good for you every now and then. If he finds out you like one look on him, Smoker would go out of his way to do it more.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Depends on how long the relationship has been going on and how close you are. But if it’s a deep relationship, then yes, he would feel incomplete without you, but it just makes him work harder to get home to you.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

Gives the vibes of a guy that can knit and crochet. Most likely learned it to have something to during long periods of time at sea. I don’t think he would like coffee all that much.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

Pirates, obviously. But also hates those that go against his morals, which aren’t the same morals the other marines carry. This also means he probably wouldn’t have a partner who’s a former pirate, since a pirate is always a pirate to him, unless you guys have some kind of bond from before you became a pirate, and he became a marine.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

Doesn’t sleep as much as he should, since he’s always got something going on. Best bet is to pull him to bed. A habit of his is that he always somehow ends up being the little spoon at the end of the night. Probably also puffs out air in his sleep as if he’s still smoking his cigars.

SFW Alphabet: Trafalgar Law

Activities - What are their favorite things to do with you? How do you spend your free time?

One of his favorite things to do with you is take late night walks. The night is always more calming to him, and being in that moment with you puts his mind at peace. He feels like it's a very intimate moment because he can be very vulnerable in front you.

You're favorite way to spend your free time is just laying on the deck with him. He usually leans up against Bepo, and you lay in between his legs, your back against his chest.

BOO! - How do they feel about surprises, giving and receiving?

Law doesn't surprise you often. He feels like surprises are irrelevant. When he does surprise you, it is usually with flowers or a picnic. His best surprise that he's ever given you was, of course, your engagement ring... Though he admitted Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin helped him plan the whole thing

On the other hand... Law absolutely hates surprises. He always has a blank expression on his face during the few occasions that you do surprise him

Comfort - How do they comfort you when you’re upset? When the tables turn, do they come to you, or try to handle it themselves?

While you wouldn't think that Law would be good at comforting, he actually is. Law hates to see you upset. Any time you are upset, he always wants to hold you and sooth you. But if you need space, he will happily give that to you as well.

It is very hard to tell when Law is upset because he always has the same expression on his face. However, when you finally start to pick up on the little cues, you always sit with him whether that be in silence, or him ranting. He always enjoys your company when he is feeling down or upset about something

Dance - Do they like to dance with you? How good of a dancer are they?

Only in private. Law loves slow dancing with you in the privacy of his office or your bedroom. He's not a very good dancer, but you don't mind at all.

Excitement - How do they act when they’re excited? What excites them?

Since Law doesn't really show emotion that often, it is a little hard to tell when he is excited, but you can always see the hint of a smile on his face whenever he gets excited

Law usually shows that little bit of excitement whenever you start showing progress on training or even your medical studies. He also has that small smile on his face whenever he sees you getting along with the rest of his crew

Future - What are their plans for the future? Do they see themselves getting married, having kids?

Law does think about settling down once he's done with his pirate journey. He definitely does want to build a future with you and does want to have children with you, but not while you both are living a life of piracy. He would rather you both have a life of adventure first before picking a town to settle down in

Gifts - What do they give you as presents? How often do they get you gifts?

His usual gifts are usually flowers or candy. He knows how much you love sweet things

He tries to get you a gift at least once a week if he has time to grab them

Hold - How do they hold you? Cuddling, sleeping, holding hands…

Law isn't really a fan of PDA, so if you are out and about in a town, he usually won't hold your hand, but he will carry your bags for you while you do some shopping

When you guys sleep at night, he always enjoys being the big spoon, but eventually you both get too warm so you usually end up apart sometime during the night

Ideal - What’s their ideal date like?

His favorite kind of date is finding a nice Spring island to stop at and letting the crew go off to do their own things while you and him go for a nice walk and find a quiet spot of relax and have a picnic

Jealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they handle it?

Law does get jealous but he doesn't show it. It is one of those that he silently watches to make sure that no one tries to make a move on you. He knows that you would not be unfaithful to him, but he doesn't trust other people

Kisses - How do they like to kiss you? How frequently do they kiss you?

He always like to give you sweet, soft kisses, but he usually won't do it in front of people

He kisses you as frequently as he can. He always enjoys the feeling of your lips on his

Love - How do they show you that they love you?

It's the little things that he does, like bringing you tea or tending to your wounds.

Melt - What do you do that absolutely makes them melt?

This man absolutely melts whenever you tend to his wounds. Seeing how much you have learned when traveling with him makes him lose his mind, but in the best way

Nicknames - What do they call you, and what are their favorite things to be called?

Law usually calls you love or sweetheart. His favorite things to be called are babe or captain, though captain is more so saved for the bedroom

Obvious - How obvious do they make it that they like you?

Law does not make it very obvious. As stated before, he keeps his emotions hidden pretty well. It does take a while before you figure it out, but it's the subtle blush that dusts his cheeks whenever you get close to him

Pets - Do they have pets? Do they want them?

Does Bepo count? Like I know he's a crew mate and Law's navigator, but he's a polar bear. I feel like he counts. So yes, Law does have a pet

Quiet - How are the calm, quiet moments with them?

They are some of your favorite moments. Just the two of you laying in bed, you humming a quiet tune while he runs his hands through your hair

Romance - How romantic are they? What are their go-to ways of being romantic?

Law isn't the most romantic person, but when the mood strikes him, his usual way of being romantic is running a hot bath for the two of you and lighting some candles. The man is cliche, but I feel like he learned that from Cora

Safe - What makes them feel safe and comfortable around you?

You're understanding of how he is always busy. If he's working hard in his office, you will sit with him and read a book. Comfortable silence, but still enjoying each others company

Your soft touch always sends a calm feeling through him, making him feel way more relaxed

Tend - How do they act when you’re hurt or sick, and vice versa?

Law goes into full doctor mode whenever you are sick or injured. He will stop at nothing to figure what is going on with you and how he can make it better

Law can usually take care of himself whenever he's sick, but you still like to bring him tea and soup to try and make him feel better

Unique - What’s an unusual thing about them that’s oddly charming?

The one thing that you always find oddly charming about Law is how focused he can get when he's study his medical books. The way he chews his bottom lip while flipping through pages of information trying to further his knowledge

Variety - Do they prefer to keep things the same, or spice it up?

Law does like to spice things up every once and a while, but he also likes things the way they are

Wash - What’s it like taking a bath with them, or helping them wash up after a fight?

Taking a bath with Law is always so relaxing. Getting him cleaned up after a fight, however, takes a little bit of time and can get quite frustrating. While he may be the Surgeon of Death, that man hates getting his wounds cleaned out, and will usually pout and complain as it's happening

XO - How do they show you affection? How much PDA are they willing to show?

As stated before, law doesn't really like PDA that much. He prefers those intimate moments stay between the two of you. That being said, when you guys are alone, he usually will show his affection by cuddling with you, holding your hand, and letting you sit on his lap while he does his work

Yearn - What do they do when they miss you?

Law usually sulks when he misses you. If you have to go out on a mission or just want to explore an island on your own, he'll pout and sulk around until you get back and then he won't leave your side for a good couple hours

Zzz - How do they act when they get sleepy? How is it sleeping in the same bed?

When sleepiness finally catches up to Law, he starts to get really clingy to you. All he wants to do is cuddle with you as you sing him to sleep. You love sharing a bed with him because while it can get a little warm when you sleep, it's comforting to know that you both with always be there for each other during the night

Nami

warnings: just fluff !

Affection

In public, Nami isn't too keen on showing affection. It's not like she completely ignores you, but she more so sticks to looks of affection and longing instead of clinging to your side. In private, Nami is much more physically affectionate. She likes cuddling, being the bigger spoon, and playing with your hair. Whenever she is the little spoon, after much resistance, you can feel her shoulders relax as she settles her head on your chest.

Best friend

I think if you were with Nami your best friend in the crew would be Luffy. The entire crew loved you, but you and Luffy found a childish solace in each other. You were constantly pulling pranks, keeping silly little inside jokes, off to the side giggling.

Cuddles

Like I said before, I think Nami would really love cuddling you, but in the comfort of your private space. It her time to ground herself, running her fingers delicately over your arms and shoulders as she holds you close. Your breathing syncs up, a lazy smile on her face as she soaks you in.

Domestic

The idea of domesticity is completely foreign to Nami, but that doesn't mean she isn't curious about it. The domestic life she experienced had been short lived, but she knew what it was to be loved, and she knew that's what she wanted with you for as long as you'd have her. She'd see a future with you, settling down, a simple life, even if it took a little dirty work to get there.

Ending (if they had to break up, how would they do it)

If the two of you had to break up, Nami would def be the one to break it off. She couldn't except any other way, so she would save both of your breath and make things short. Her seeming indifference to breaking off your relationship is a front, of course, because separating from you would break her inside.

Fiancée (how do they feel about marriage)

Like I said with Domesticity, I think Nami would want something like marriage, even if she has no idea how it's supposed to work. The first time someone jokes about how the two of you fight like an old married couple, Nami freezes, but later that night, she casually asks you if you'd ever thought about getting married. I think she would see a nice ring at one of the many markets the crew came across in their travels, and she buys it, slipping it onto your finger in the private of your room on the boat.

Gentle

I think Nami is a very gentle lover, albeit a bit of an awkward one at first. She can be standoffish and aggressive to others, but never to you, although in the beginning of your relationship she didn't quite know how to show her affection. Still, gentle touches and private words of affirmation were her specialty.

Hugs

Nami's hugs are the best. Your senses are flooded with her when she draws you into her arms, inhaling deeply at her scent, her hair softly ticking your cheek, her arms tight and warm around your middle. She likes hugging because when your chests meet, she can feel your heartbeat against hers, and it brings her a sense of calm.

I love you

Most likely, you'd say "I love you" before Nami. That doesn't mean she doesn't love you already but saying it out loud is different than keeping her feelings inside, which she's used to. When you say, "I love you", Nami will freeze, but I think she would quietly tell you she loves you back. After the first time, she says it as much as she can, because she always thinks that she never knows if it'll be the last thing she says to you, and she never wants you to doubt or forget how she feels about you.

Jealousy

Nami trusts you, so she is never jealous, but she doesn't trust other people, so she is definitely watchful when the two of you are out late at night, most likely at a bar, the other members of the crew too drunk to even register that a drunken patron was flirting with you. Nami will let you speak for yourself, but if you were too drunk or too tired to put up a fight, she will swiftly turn down anyone who comes your way, and she certainly isn't afraid to pull her staff out and kick anyone's ass that is bothering you.

Kisses

Like all other forms of affection, Nami likes to keep things private. She kisses softly and tenderly, unlike the rest of her character. She also touches you softly, her hands snaking around your waist to draw you close as her lips dance against yours. She'd never admit it out loud, but you knew from the blush that would cover her face that she was particularly fond of kisses to her cheek and forehead, quick ones you'd leave when no-one was looking.

Little ones (kids)

Nami wouldn't even know where to start with a child, but she would know to love one if the two of you had one. She would reminisce on her own mother, how she had cared for her and her sister no matter what situation they had been in. I don't think either of you would have a formal parenting conversation, but you could see the misty look in Nami's eyes whenever the two of you walked by a child with their mother, a small smile on her face whereas before she met you, she would frown, pained by her history.

Morning

Nami is definately an early riser, and she will silently slip out from your slumbering embrace to go about her morning routine. She's usually back by the time you're waking up, gently nuzzling her nose against your cheek as she whispers good morning praises in your ear. She'll chat beside you as you catch up with your morning, just lingering around you simply to be close to you.

Night

You and Nami go to bed together, so your nighttime routines are essentially synced up. Washing up the best the two of you can (i have no idea how they bathe on boats but in my head the entire crew is nice and clean moving on), changing into your nightclothes, before you finally crawl up in bed beside her, her arms wrapping around you on instinct. She'll always spend a few minutes talking to you, recapping the day before yawning, pressing a gentle kiss to your temple, and whispering a goodnight before the both of you drift to sleep.

Open (how revealing, comfortable, open are they)

Nami is very closed off when you meet her, but she opens up to you quicker than she ever has with anyone else. It doesn't even take her getting drunk, like she usually does, instead she just feels like you're a safe person to confide in. You make it very clear very quickly that you would never judge her, and after you take the initiative and share some of your past with her, she shares herself with you. She has her moments of doubt, worried she might still be the same person she used to be, but the way you listen and sympathize with her as she confides in you reassures her that she's changed.

Patience

Being with the Strawhats, Nami has learned a lot about patience. I don't think she would necessarily feel like she needs to be patient with you on the regular, unlike with Luffy or Usopp. The only time she really has to practice patience with you is if the two of you are arguing, because Nami knows that she's used to just running away from confrontation, which she doesn't want to do with you. She also has a lot of patience for you whenever you get into a slum, or dark mood. It's like she can read your mind, the way she seems to know whether you need space or to be held, or if she just needs to be an ear for you to rant to.

Quiet time (what is quiet time like with them/free time)

In her quiet time, Nami likes to haul you to the Crow's nest. She likes to sit and look at the sea, her mind swirling with the maps she's made over the years. She'll have you snuggled to her side, the both of you taking turns watching the waves while the other one reads aloud from one of the many books she likes to pick up on the islands. Sometimes the two of you will lug up a small knapsack with snacks, having a picnic up there.

Remember (fav memory about the relationship)

Her favorite memory from your relationship actual came from slightly before the two of you made things official. This was when the crew landed on a small island, seemingly deserted, and had a bit of a beach day there. It was one of her favorite memories overall, but on that day, after spending the hot afternoon on the sand and in the water, the two of you had set out for a private walk a little further down the beach. You had tugged Nami aside, telling her you wanted to find a seashell or other small reminder that you had visited the island. She had helped you find some small shells, two of which were near identical, so of course you had given her the matching one. Before the two of you had reboarded the ship, Nami surprised you by pressing a small kiss to your cheek. It was new territory, making the both of you blush before going off to your respective rooms. That night, she had come to terms with her feelings for you, and from that moment on she felt comfortable being affectionate with you.

Security (how protective are they)

(I kind of talked about this is Jealous but) Nami is extremely protective of you, in her own ways. She is protective of the whole crew, that was her family, and she loved them as fiercely as such, but the protectiveness she reserved for you was different. She always had her eye on you, making sure she could step in if you needed her too. In the earliest stages of your relationship, she had been a bit more aggressively protective, but she learned how to cool herself down for you.

Try (how much effort do they put in)

Nami puts a lot of effort into your relationship, in her own way. She likes her privacy, so all of her affection is shared in the quiet of your room. She will buy you little trinkets in the cities that you and the Strawhats pass through, sheepishly presenting it as you sit in the small window seat in her room, her blush illuminated by the moonlight. She is the kind to give you pointed looks, ones where you're reminded that she loves you, adores you, and all the other things she had listed as feelings she had for you.

Ugly (how do they react to your insecurities? What about their insecurities?)

I think that Nami has plenty of her own insecurities, so she understands that you'll naturally have them too. Of course, Nami thinks the world of you, but she knows that doesn't change how you feel, and her understanding is something that brings you so much comfort. She lets you vent, she listens with a frown as you list off everything you think is wrong with yourself, before she holds you close and gently assures you of your value.

The thing Nami would be the most insecure about would be her image How she comes off to others has never been something she cared about before, but with you, she wants to be perfect. The wall she's put up after years of burying her insecurities takes a while to come down, but eventually she realizes that you'd never judge her, and that she was good enough for you.

Vanity (how groomed/consumed with their looks are they)

Nami isn't vain, but that doesn't mean she doesn't take care of herself! She tries her hardest to make sure she can bath as much as she can, she dresses comfortably but never drab, and she takes special care of her teeth, because one time you noted how beautiful her smile was. All that aside, she also likes when she can dress up nice, though those occasions were rare.

Whole (do they feel incomplete without you?)

I think after Nami realizes she is truly and deeply in love with you, she does feel incomplete without you. The two of you are hard to separate, but on the rare occasion that the two of you are apart, she is anxious until the moment she lays eyes on you again. She always hugs you a little longer and tighter than normal when she hasn't seen you for a while.

Xtra (random headcanon)

Nami likes to mess with your hair while she rants. She will stand behind you and complain feverently, mostly over the male members of the crew, all while brushing and braiding your hair intricately, just to let it fall loose and start over again as long as she needs to.

Yuck (what are some things they wouldn’t like, in a partner or just in general?)

Nami has a short temper, so I think that little pet peeves such as messy eating or smacking your lips would piss her off. She would try her hardest to come to you sweetly and gently, but if the problem persists, she will just silently correct you.

Zzzz (sleeping habits)

Nami is a light sleeper, but she can fall asleep right away. She always insists on being the bigger spoon, and after she falls asleep with you cuddled up to her for the first time, she decides that she can't sleep any other way. Even if she just wants to take a nap, she'll flash you her begging eyes before dragging you into her bed, her fingers ghosting over your back as she drifts to sleep.

like the mornings, it’s rare to get more than an hour or so with him at night. after dinner and the after-dinner snacks and the bedtime snacks, sanji cleans up whatever mess is left and takes stock of what he has so he can plan for the next day. after that’s done, it’s a shower, and then a bit of relaxation before bed at midnight. again, the easiest thing to do is to give him a hand or just sit in his company, and you can always join him in the shower if you don’t mind getting a little dirty.

nami is incredibly affectionate, at least when it comes to her romantic partners, and it tends to be a very playful sort of affection. sneaking up behind you to grab your waist, smacking a kiss on your cheek, she loves to see you flustered. she can and will be serious if you ask her or if the mood strikes her. with friends, her affection is more of the caretaker type; there’s a reason she’s always concerned for everyone on her crew.

she makes for one of the greatest best friends you could ever have. total confidence is the name of her game: whether it’s your darkest fear or a silly dream you had, nami will never breathe a word about it to anyone else. she’ll also splurge on you a little whenever you go to shore for a little shopping. if your life is ever in danger, nami is there fighting at your side.

there’s a lot of guilt involved when it comes to nami ending a relationship, no matter how long or short it was. if you’re part of the crew, then it’s even harder. she’d want to try and fix the issue before taking any sort of action; if, however, the damage was permanent or there was no more love in it, then she would do it as gently as she could. she might get angry, but she’d do her best to handle things calmly and without a fight.

nami would be pleased to settle down with one person, although marriage is another matter entirely. pirate weddings are easy enough, though rarely recognized by the government, and she would be happy to buy some nice clothing, a pair of matching rings, and have a ceremony on the bow of the going merry or thousand sunny. it wouldn’t be until after the two-year timeskip, however.

with a partner, nami is equal parts gentle and tough. she wants what’s best for you, and does what she can to make sure that you’re happy and comfortable. she does have a temper, which is something to keep in mind. her love can be a sharp-tongued lashing or a gentle kiss on the forehead, depending on the situation. physically, she’s never violent towards any partner, even playfully so, and handles them with the utmost care.

nami likes hugs and is always giving them casually, at least where her partner is concerned. a quick arm around the shoulders in passing, a little squeeze when you first get up in the morning, she enjoys showing you affection and receiving it in turn. it’s also the most she’s comfortable doing in public, so it’s the easiest way to reaffirm that she loves you and wants you close. her hugs are warm and firm, with a bit more pressure just before she lets go.

nami has experienced loss, but that never makes it any easier. if you’re out for the day or occupied somewhere else on the ship, then she’s fine. if you leave, or die, or disappear, then she isn’t. she misses you and thinks of you no matter how long you’ve been apart. eventually she would start to heal, although there would always be that empty place where you used to reside.
