why "the outsiders" is one of the best shows i've ever seen

i loved every second of this show, so here's all my favorite parts!!

ALSO Trevor Wayne (u/s Ponyboy) was on for my show, and it was his Broadway debut, so that mixed with this only being their fourth official show after debuting on Broadway this past Thursday (they've been in previews for a few weeks) made for SUCH a good show atmosphere, the vibes were immaculate, and Trevor was a phenomenal Ponyboy.

Also, I got to stagedoor, and the cast was SO incredibly kind!!! I love stagedoors when the cast is just made up of the nicest group of people ever

Act 1

the COSTUMES OHHH MY GOD

and the set is so cool???

the fight choreo is something i could talk about forever and ever

in general, the music has a very folk/country vibe to it, which fits SO well since it takes place in oklahoma!!

"grease got a hold" was so fun, i loved the idea that you become an official greaser after getting through your first fight with the socs

the show in general is such a good balance of quotes directly from the book and original lines!

i love that they made Dally another big brother figure to Ponyboy, because it just adds so much to the tension between Darry and Ponyboy

additionally, making Dally the leader of the gang while Darry's trying to stay away from that world... such a good change

Johnny and Pony are the best friends ever omg

Ace my beloved 😭😭 i'm usually hesitant about new characters being added but i love her so much

i was afraid they'd make her like an Anybodys copy, but she was SUCH a good fit within the group, and her relationships and interactions with them all felt so natural

btw she and Steve are siblings that is my hc they're brother and sister your honor!!!

and Two-Bit!!! Beloved!!! Daryl Tofa you are THE Two-Bit ever!!!

Two-Bit and Ace are best friends btw

"Great Expectations" had the stage completely blacked out except for spotlights on each of the outsiders gang when i tell you i was emotional

MY THEORY IS CONFIRMED OF THE CURTIS PARENTS DYING WHILE GETTING STUFF FOR DARRY'S BIRTHDAY I'M HAPPY BUT IN PAIN

Having Johnny present for the scene when Darry slaps Ponyboy is such a smart decision, especially since he's the one who grabs Ponyboy and gets them out of the house

Johnny and Pony duet 😭😭 they're platonic soulmates fr

Having the silhouettes of Soda and Darry during Johnny and Pony's duet, and Darry just sitting so defeated on the floor hurt me ngl

There were effects when Ponyboy was being drowned where it was like we were underwater as well, and everyone else was just moving silently. SO well done

the scene where Johnny stabs Bob was insane- there were blackouts, and people were moving in slow motion, and it was so perfectly overwhelming

God, the entire ending sequence was incredibly with the set pieces!! and in general, the effects were so good

also Dally is such an overprotective brother to BOTH Johnny and Pony

Act 2

The harmonies in this show. This is such a strong ensemble cast, and they're so powerful during the group numbers

"Death's at my Door" made me fucking sob????? Johnny and Pony being each other's reason to live??? Them staying alive just to make sure the other is safe???

Have I mentioned how much I love that Dally sees Pony and Johnny as his little brothers?? Because I love it so so much

Darry and Dally's arguments, and Dally making good points on why he's close with Ponyboy hurt SO much because Darry's trying his best

Ohhhh Darry is speaking to my soul he really is the parentified older sibling ever

But also "Throwing in the Towel" being similar to "Death's at my Door", with Sodapop begging Darry not to give up, because he loves him, and recognizes what he does for them??? And Ponyboy joining in at the end from the church??

Dally immediately hugging Ponyboy and Johnny when they reunite at the church 😭

"Soda's Letter" made me cry violently but that's nothing new

"Hoods turned Heroes" was actually so cute, the greasers were so excited and proud of Pony and Johnny

but the tonal shift at the end when Dally carried Johnny in all bandaged up??

a little miffed we didn't see the Curtis brothers reuniting ngl, but that's the only thing i wish they added in

THE FUCKING RUMBLE WAS SO GOOD HOLY SHIT

Darry asking Ponyboy if he can fight for him 😭😭😭 he loves his brother so much

THE CHOREO AND THE RAIN ON STAGE OH MY GOD

And Ponyboy fights until Johnny comes on stage and stands in front of him, and everything just freezes 😭

I do love how all the greasers were present for JOhnny's death, because it just solidifies how they're a family

Joshua Boone as Dally destroyed me. He perfectly showed how Johnny was Dally's entire world

and GOD them changing Dally's death to suicide by straight up stepping onto the train tracks and getting hit by a train was...

Just how empty and lost Ponyboy was after everyone died, and how desperate Soda and Darry were to get him to at least eat something, they portrayed that grief and trauma so well

"Stay Gold" 😭😭😭😭😭

Literally could not stop sobbing during that song, everyone around me was crying

There was such a perfect balance between Pony's narration and the show itself, and there were moments where he broke the fourth wall, mainly by looking at Soda and Johnny during their letters, and it just made for such an emotional impact

Darry asking to read Pony's story 😭😭 showing his support, and Pony being absolutely shocked but so happy 😭😭

also when Darry and Pony tell each other they love each other 😭😭 sobbing violently i love familial reconciliation

I was just an emotional wreck the entire finale, it was so beautiful

and the implication that instead of writing an essay, Ponyboy wrote "The Outsiders" in-universe 😭😭

GitS Asks!

Ohhh yeah you KNOW that man is panicking and his boys are trying their best to calm him down and force him to relax.

I cannot answer this because spoilers, but my god I want to. I want to gush about the movie stuff so badly. I can say that Ghost would definitely prefer to be taken instead of Raph. He thinks the boys should stick together.

Oh boy, yeah it do! (:

Oof you're torturing my boy here, I see. I think after very emotional words and feelings turmoil he would stay. He feels like the boys need protecting at this moment. He wants to keep them safe, and... Well. He just doesn't know what's happening with his brothers.

Ghost likes that when Splinter spends time with the kids, the kids are super happy about it. He likes watching them watch Lou Jitsu movies. He likes that Splinter uses nicknames instead of their full names all the time. He likes that Splinter makes them soup when they feel bad. He likes that when the kids talk about their childhood, Splinter is a constant. He likes that the boys love him, and he loves the boys.

Ghost doesn't hate Splinter. He just hates that he's not his dad.

I won't give spoilers if it's something that hasn't already been covered. Sometimes I'll go off about what's going on in Ghost's head, but that's because that's already going on. ;)

Ough Ghost would hate that. He doesn't want them to see that.

Yes to both! Meditating is something that's been ingrained into him since he was little, so he hasn't stopped now. From best to worst, Raph is the best. Mikey is second best, if he's moving while he meditates. Donnie's... Decent. Leo's horrible at it. He can't stay focused.

Ghost did find that directing them through certain katas and letting them do those motions on repeat is a good way to let them meditate. They do a much better job when they're moving.

Ghost does seem to be getting hurt a lot....... Wonder what that's about. (:

It's a little of both! Ghost wasn't mutated on purpose, and the mutagen itself wasn't meant to make soldiers of any kind, so his mutation doesn't make him as sturdy as genetically engineered weapons of war. On the other hand, Ghost also is still working off the physics of his universe, at least somewhat. It means getting hit hurts. there's no "comedic effect" going on with Ghost. He gets hit, he gets hit.

Yup! Ghost can cook! He especially likes baking. Ell and Mike can as well. Spirit... Eugh... Let's just say he survived with a rice cooker, takeout, and a healthy fear of anything that produces heat.

Ghost has already fought these particular Foot, when they first showed up in the Rise series! He asked Splinter about them, and he confirmed they were in fact THE Foot. Ghost has them burned into his mind now.

He also has no idea they run a shoe shop. He will eventually find out, yes, and the story is about Ghost, so also yes!

Yes. It worked very well.

There was a stray cat he fed when he went to the surface to get food. He looked like Klunk. Donnie thought about taking him back to the hideaway, but started thinking about having to clean out the litter box, worrying about the cat knocking things over or chewing on wires, feeding him every day, giving him attention, and he just... Couldn't handle all of that at the time.

Nothing that I can think of off the top of my head? Ghost was building trucks with dozens of missiles in it by the time he was 15. He likes to encourage Donnie's creativity.

Uranium is just a no-go because they don't have a way to safely contain it and use it. And Donnie's 14.

Donnie has theories. This is actually a spoiler, because Donnie's whole theory is a spoiler! Don't worry, we'll see Donnie's theory soon (;

Honestly, Ghost is a little worried about that. He's hoping that the kid won't turn out like the fucked up man that's in his universe. Like, he's still a kid! If Splinter can be how he is, and Leo can be so different from his Leonardo, what's to say that this kid isn't also different?

First round, babey!! It's my headcanon that 03 Donnie was subconsciously more interested in watching than he was in participating. It wasn't a life-threatening event or anything, it was a fun warrior vs warrior, honorable battle. He was in another dimension, of course he was excited and wanted to see things!!

In Big Mama's Battle Nexus, things were to the death. Nothing to poof you away if it would hurt you too much. He had to take every hit and feel it. He won out of necessity. He didn't enjoy a second of it.

Ghost probably would get further than he did in the last one, but I don't think he'd win. For him, fun fighting is sparring with the kids. His heart wouldn't be in it.

𝐁𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 was heard in the room, spitting insults right there and then. not caring about the world. "stop your damn whining. why the hell are you blaming me for this?" "Because we're the only people in the house at the moment?!! not to mention, YOU have a 3-year-old 'son' watching Disney in the living room, you dunce-face."

Ah, the fresh air of sibling drama. nothing new at the L/N household. constant yelling between the two siblings, except for the youngest of course. their relationship is beyond on the edge, no apologizing, nothing. it explains why they're not close, at least not anymore. "Ma!! I'm telling you! I didn't do it this time, I was in my room trying to find a job to buy my own house!" m/n's lying ma! why would he want to find a job just to pay for our needs, sounds like an excuse to me!" the said person glared at the one beside him, and so did they as well. sharing an intense staring contest that was cut off by the mother. "Enough of this fighting, Zephyr, I'm afraid your brother is right. He told me he was going to find a job to help around the house, he's growing up you know? also. get ready for dinner, you both, alright?" and the woman went back to cooking her dish. a hum of amusement was let out of you, your brother looked wide-eyed at the mother's response made you snicker.

"so, Y/N, have you found any jobs that suited you, sweetheart?" his mother's calming voice stopped the comforting silence. "Well, I do have one into consideration, but I have to move out of here and go live there. but the salary is good too. so I mig —" you were cut off, rude. "oh, you're moving out? good! pack your shit and get!" Zephyr, cut off his a few months older brother. "Zeph! watch your language young man, you shouldn't be insulting your brother. He's trying his best to provide something for his family." a stern discipline was brought on. making Zephyr grumble under his breath, god. brothers. amirite?

Weeks passed, You had to pack your stuff to go and see your new place. Your mother insisted you go on with the job, so you agreed to your mother's choice. "Are you all ready sweetheart? haven't forgotten anything?" "nope, all of my stuff is ready. please take care of my son ma, I'll be going now." and just like that, the oldest of the L/N household has moved out. taking out your car keys you did your last goodbye to your small family, and going inside the car.

'Jeez, I never realized the location would be this far.' he thought. He was so glad his college wasn't far off, you wouldn't need to wake up super early just to arrive. "Where was the house again? big black gate, big mansion.. ah!" he looked up to the supposed location, 'i didn't think it was this big..' your sweat dropped. taking out your phone, you decided to chat with your boss or should I say, bosses.

not even just a second of looking up from your smartphone, you already see a ginger-haired man running up to you, and OHHH MAN his outfit made you breathless. a sleeveless vest buttoned on his stomach area, showing off his curves, and a white long-sleeved polo shirt rested nicely on his body. you could feel yourself heating up, was it from the weather or him? "Earth to Y/N? you seem hot and bothered, something wrong?" his gentle voice made you step out of your trance. "a— ah! sorry, was thinking of something. I'm all fine, now can you help me carry some of my stuff to the house..? I may or may not pack a little over enough." your response made the other chuckle, eventually carrying all of your bags, much to your dismay.

"question about the job, what am I going to do exactly?" you asked curiously and hoping not to make the taller/shorter male confused at your question. "eh, you'll just be a male wife there." his seven-word sentence made you stop in your tracks, MALEWIFE?! you were screaming internally. "I'll explain the information inside, did you doze off in our zoom meeting or something..?" "I did." now he was a laughing stock, reaching the main door of the mansion he had to wipe a tear not to make you more embarrassed. "go on in, make sure to remove your shoes and slip on some slippers. I don't want the floor dirty..and I'll put your stuff in the guest room." you nodded at him, and did as your told.

"This is the employee you were talking about?" you were sat in the middle of three people talking about you, and I mean you. You just wanted to know about your job, not get stared down by fancy-looking people (not to mention hot.) that made you want to melt into a puddle. "do you have a thing for men that is a single father and a househusband?" a platinum-haired woman interrupted both men. "I might've. but look at him! he's built well." "he looks like my next victim." you didn't know who to be scared of, you just looked back and forth at the three people bickering about why he picked you.

you wanted to cry, not out of the loud environment, but also because they were all confusing you. There's always one person that admires you and immediately gets turned down, you let out a sigh. This wasn't ending was it? The arguing made you remember Zephyr, your younger brother who was probably crying his heart out because his older brother left and he had no one else to spit insults to. He didn't want to admit it, but you knew he loves you. He just doesn't want anyone to know that he's a soft-hearted person that breaks into pieces when his brother isn't there. You were making sure of yourself to always check up on him whenever you both ran into each other at the university, as an older brother instinct.

screeching of a chair broke the voices, looking wherever the noise was. "I'll be going to rest now, just text me if you need anything." you sat up, pushed the chair back where it was supposed to be, and eventually went to the guest room. throwing your exhausted body onto the surprisingly soft mattress, you just laid there. till you get a notification, 'ugh. not even a peaceful minute, goddamn.' turning on your phone you clicked on the messages notification, and it read,

'From: Scarababes

You forgot to eat your dinner, dumbass. open the damn door.'

of course, it was around..8:50 tops. sitting up with a slight trip from getting trapped by the covers, you open the door with a ravenette who was holding a surprisingly delicious-looking meal. "I cooked it, and don't worry, I didn't poison it. sadly. Just wash the dish after." putting the tray in your hands and flew off.sitting on a chair and setting the tray of food onto a desk, you booted up your laptop to work on some presentations and projects that were due next week, you don't want to get your ass beaten by your professor.

after eating that DELICIOUS meal you went out to the kitchen, which is the light was still on. not even caring to take a glance at the figure standing with their elbow on the counter, you washed the dish, giving respect to the one who made it. "I didn't expect you to wash it." a voice made you jump up like a cat. "scared you that much?" oh, it was scarab— Scaramouche. "don't creep onto people like that! Jesus Christ, I thought I had a heart attack." you exclaimed, in return, you got an uninterested hum as he left. you thought he was just an introvert that likes to keep to himself but hoo boy, maybe he's more than that.

but '3:04' it read on your clock, and you're extremely dehydrated and in need of an energy snack. 'i should stop procrastinating and do things early..look what it got to me." you thought, but knowing damn well you couldn't keep that thought in your mind for long. exiting your room, you see darkness. of course, no one is awake at this point. reaching the kitchen with a help of your phone's flashlight, you decided to make iced coffee and take some biscuits as a snack. "why the hell are you up so fuckin' late? it's 3 in the morning." that voice made you jump up again. fucking hell, scaramouche. you didn't say stuff now, you're warming up to it, plus, your voice was hoarse, and you weren't in the mood right now. turning away from the counter, carrying your tray of snacks, you start to walk away, "where are you going?" Scaramouche, immediately raced beside you. "wherever you aren't." you grumbled under your voice, but loud enough for the other to stop in his tracks and went the other way. 'finally.' you thought.

but he didn't miss a day of not messing with your buttons, throwing a glass of cold water while you were asleep was one time, now completely putting temporary hair dye in your hair products. but you pulled it off with a smile that caught him off guard, was he not annoying you enough?! He grimaced, out of ideas on how to get you fuming like a kettle. You were too calm for your good, and Scaramouche didn't like that. "I'll be going now! don't trash the house too much scarababe~'' you coo at him, making him red in the face, chuckling to yourself, you left off to college to see if your brother was there of course.

Due to your surprise, you were engulfed in a tight hug and with a yelp coming from you, you looked back to see your younger brother with puffy eyes hugging you. "Geez, Zeph~ you missed me so much huh?" "Shut up you dunce...I did miss you." you were glad to hear those words from your brother, even if it was just a day since you left the abode. "Say, Zeph, I'll treat you out later. How's that sound?" hearing your reassuring words, the brunette perked up with his eyes shining like he had seen an angel. "Really?!- ah- uhm...yea sure. I do not mind." You hum, "I'll see you later, my little brother~" you cooed at him which caused the other to flush in embarrassment.

The college has been tiring, for you at least, your brother insisted you should have gone home, and that, he will as well, but you did not budge. Entering a small cafe and ordering takeout, you both walked to your destination, which was a small lake. No people to bother you both, just two brothers hanging out till curfew.

Koops: "Huh?"

Rango: "Just, I know it's really common for Christians to be super homophobic and transphobic and also racist and stuff like that... "The LGBT isn't in the Bible, so it's not God's plan!" Y'know, stuff like that...?"

Koops: "Ohhh, no no no no no, don't worry!! My family isn't that way!! "God made you the way that you are for a reason, and loves each and every one of us." That's what they think. My whole family is very accepting!! No need to be nervous about that!"

Rango: "... Then why are you warning me...?"

Koops: "Because. They're pushy. If they ask what religion your family is, just say Christian."

Rango: "... I don't actually know what my family believes in. But. If I don't say Christianity...?"

Koops: "Then they'll talk non-stop about how you should really look into it and all the benefits and how it's the best choice and all that stuff... Believe me. It's annoying."

Danganronpa 3: Despair episode 3

Thonks.

It hurts seeing Hajime so low.

You get so used to Hajime in the game who was definitely more upbeat.

Seeing him look down on himself is hard to watch.

Especially because we know where it goes.

Makes you wonder how many people with his mindset exist.

New show, same lack of context. Let's get into this mayhem. Spoilers for Future Avengers 1x19.

He probably skimmed through your files and records but not once did the thought of a seemingly innocent teenager already having a pact with a demon prior the exchange program crossed his mind.

That’s coming from someone who overthinks a lot.

As the so called right hand man of the young lord himself, he’ll want to conduct a thorough investigation on whoever this demon is. He can’t risk sullying the honor of Diavolo because of some minor slip up.

Under the guise of a friendly get together he asks MC to invite their demon pact mate over for a nice afternoon tea. Harmless correct? Well that -less becomes -ful when the demon immediate smothers their favorite human with such rare affections he didn’t knew demons were capable of.

He’ll attempt to be discreet about his intentions but, it seems the demon is more vocal about their displeasure of finding out that their dear human is living with seven of the most powerful demons in hell. So lucifer would blatantly put on a facade to keep the dignity of the council and the prince at peace. But if it were up to him...

“We all care for the human’s well being yes? A little cooperation is to be called for”

Mammon

...Feels betrayed. And disappointed

He...wasn’t MC’s first- oh god the others are laughing at him as we speak aren’t they.

Would probably try to not so discreetly compare himself to the demon, arms crossed™️

Is that why MC was so fast in making a pact with him? Like no fear whatsoever because they’ve already done this before? Now he feels dumber than before

It all ultimately ends with..the demon and mammon trying to out do each other when it comes to spoiling Mc whether material wise or affection, of course mammon is at a disadvantage given how much he denies his concern for not being Mc’s first.

But in the end, if anything bad no matter how small happens to the two demon’s beloved human, they’d probably set aside their differences and hunt down the source. It’s a whole other story if the source was mammon-

...is both amazed and disdained.

On one hand- HOLY SHI- YOU’RE YOUNGER THAN MOST SUMMONERS AND YOU ALREADY HAVE A PACT? THAT’S SO SHOUNEN-

And on the other hand- wow...you’re such a normie for being able to pull in other races, what in the name of damned friendship is this-

But that disdain turns to envy, whether envying you or the demon sometimes it’s interchangeable- because he wished he was also that cared for. Being able to be brought gifts or being protective over- it’s the otome dream he’s secretly wanted.

But once he realizes that the demon just genuinely cares for MC, for whatever reason- he seems to understand along the way, maybe he to wishes to protect one of the few people that willingly put up with him with a wild smile. Teen mutuality huh.

He might even invite their demon pact mate over for a game or two- heck if things go well they three might even become a triumvirate. Overall he’ll learn to get along with them but...it’ll take a good while djdndnbd.

...Is highly intrigued suffice it to say.

The guy was highly enthralled when you managed to even make a pact with him through hard work and it seems there was a much farther history as to why.

Unlike the first born however, he’d be actually successful in hiding his true intentions when he decided to investigate whoever demon managed to wind up with the young human in the first place.

Those detective novels did him good Huh-

On a more serious note. He’d actually be encouraging to a certain extent until the demon directs their threats to him. Like how dare this lowly bastard make a point to the Avatar sin of Wrath- oh it was for MC’s sake...hard pass-

At one point he’s probably the closest to this demon in terms of peace next to Beelzebub since he’s the most serene of the brothers. Overall neutral to them unless the demon gives him a reason to.

“It’s nice to see the human having someone to lean on to...I wonder what would happen if that support were to suddenly collapse”

Asmodeus

Look at the lovely human already catching demons with finesse! Proud wine aunt moment™️. And the fact that it was prior to the program? Damn the kid has more potential than he thought.

At first the demon themself is gonna- Ehe carry MC away everytime asmo ties coming in but. With a little nudge and convincing they’d probably stay to listen to Asmo.

Trust me when I say these three will go shopping every weekend once everyone is comfortable with each other. And for what it’s worth they might even get matching outfits.

Asmo would probably try and nitpick how MC even managed to wind up in a pact with a demon without knowledge of the Devildom in the first place but at the same time he thinks it adds to the younger’s charm

These three end up being the child the mom and wine aunt dynamic and y’all can’t convince me otherwise.

...For some reason happy.

Is this why MC managed to make a pact with his brothers so easily in so little time? Is this why the teen never seems to be bothered by any of his brothers’ threats? Overall he’s happy that you have experience.

He remembers something oddly like this...but in his case he didn’t had experience prior the fall wow way to go at angsting this am I right-

Because unlike him, a being millennia old was so confused of what’s in store for hell after the fall but he had no choice but to grit his teeth and bare the fear.

And someone so young managed to get a taste of a fraction of that experience but here was MC...laughing without a care whilst this other demon places a protective arm in front of them as they interrogate beel- oh wait they were talking to him-

Food as peace offering? You bet, thankfully they did settle with food and unlike first impressions- the demon actually is the most sensible to beel seeing as he was one of the few who...didn’t actively attempt to kill their human- in fact, the demon is probably the one to inform Beel of what demon food the young teen can actually eat and what they prefer.

“I see...ah, would you maybe wanna join us? Food always tastes better when shared”

Belphegor

...could care less until they talk about the whole time universe killing thing-

Ohhh boy- belphie run I’m telling you run- no beel won’t defend you on this one in fact I think I see mammon running with the demon but belphie run boy run-

In all seriousness him and the demon will take the longest to get into terms. Heck not even Mc’s convincing has effect, because the demon really really doesn’t like the avatar of sloth for good reason.

Depending on how the demon even winded up with MC. Belphie would also not like the demon.

That...is until something actually bad happens to MC-

The demon might blindly pin it on belphie but the thing is- he’s also panicking because if he and his brothers were there and the demon was there- wHO TF IS WITH THE TEENAGER-

He...didnt want to have what he did to MC happen again. Let him be the last one to harm the spunky human. I even considered him and the demon to never actually get along no matter how long of a time but...again it all depends on the Hows and Whys.

Jane stared in awe, mouth agape, as she took in Elsa and Anna's humongous castle,

"Whoa... this is almost Asgard level grandeur guys!" Jane gasped, Thor smiled, "yeah... when we were kids they always visited our place, we haven't actually been here in a while... but it's a yearly festival here, so we thought it'd be nice to drop in for once..." he smirked, "well... I haven't been here in a while anyway... Prince Charming on the other hand..."

Loki glared at him, face aflame,

"Shut up."

"Ohhh look at my baby brother blushing!" Thor laughed, "you act like you didn't stop by and hide secret gifts and love letters to your sweet lady every month or so as a surprise for her to find..."

Thor didn't think Loki could get any redder in his embarrassment, but he managed somehow. He smirked and led Jane through the gates,

"This is probably the first time you'll meet your future sisters in law!" Thor laughed, Jane was surprised,

"Loki was once betrothed to Lady Elsa when we were children... never really got over her... and yes... they've technically gotten back together... so it's only a matter of time..." he whispered the last sentence in Jane's ear, and she giggled, Loki rolled his eyes,

"I don't even want to know what you and your lady friend are discussing over there..."

Thor smiled, then Jane was practically bowled over by a flash of red and light yellow.

"YOU GUYS MADE IT!!!"

Then Jane got a good look at her attacker, and saw it was a young girl, she looked to be in her early twenties,

"Ah yes! Speaking of which! Jane Foster, Princess Anna of Arendelle... my little sister from another mister! Lady Anna, my girlfriend Jane Foster,"

The girl gasped,

"Oh my gods I'm so sorry I was aiming for Thor and I tripped! I didn't mean to knock you over I'm so sorry!!!" She said worriedly, and Jane laughed,

"Jeez girl! You're clumsier than I am! I like you!"

Anna blushed,

"R-really? Wow... I've never had a friend that was another girl... besides my sister obviously,"

Then Jane cried out in shock as Olaf waddled towards her,

"Oh... my... god ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? HE'S SO CUTE AND SQUISHY!!! I COULD DIE!!!!"

Olaf giggled,

"She's funny."

"Where did you even come from?!? oh my god!" Jane laughed, scooping him up cradling him in her arms and tickling him.

Thor smirked knowingly as he noticed Loki start fidgeting anxiously,

"That is Olaf... Loki's 'stepson' if you will..."

Loki turned pink,

"He's not my stepson Thor... that's silly... he's not even Elsa's child... and anyway we aren’t even married! Or even technically engaged…” Loki protested, “yet…” he mumbled under his breath, the excitement and hope threatening to escape his calm mood for once. Luckily nobody but Olaf heard him, Olaf smiled excitedly, about to congratulate Loki, but was interrupted by Jane before he could respond, distracting him efficiently.

"Wait... you mean literally Elsa made him?!?" Jane gasped, "cooool!"

"Yeah why?" Olaf said, and Thor laughed

"Sooo where is your lovely older sister anyway?" He said turning to Anna and Anna smiled,

"Oh! She's taking a bath! But she'll be out to join us soon! Now come on! Come with me to go pick up my husband Kristoff! He went to the store to get some supplies for the banquet, he insisted, I thought we could help him out! He'll be so happy to see you guys again!"

Thor smiled hugely

"Yes! I love Kristoff!!! He's so funny with his reindeer voice!"

Loki rolled his eyes,

"Of course you like him you two are literally the same, just he was born on Midgard and he's not a prince technically, and you didn't have access to animals like reindeer in the palace... thank Norns for that..."

"Somebody is jealous of the attention Kristoff is getting from his brother... my my..." Jane teased,

Loki rolled his eyes and sighed,

"as if... they're both insufferable..." Jane laughed and followed the others, Loki stared at the highest window...

Elsa's room.

He sighed longingly, then he was startled by a tap on his shoulder, he whirled around and saw Anna, he glared at her as she smirked at him knowingly,

"Come on lover boy... you'll get your chance to talk to her later..." and she grabbed his wrist and pulled him along with the others.

"Anna!" Kristoff called once he saw them coming down the road.

"I found our guests!" She said with a huge smile,

"Ah! Nice! Brother from another mother!!!! What uuuup?!?" Kristoff laughed as he and Thor high five, Loki sighed,

Kristoff then turned to Loki,

"Heyyy how are you man?!?"

Loki glared at him,

"I'd appreciate it if you not call me 'man' I have a name..."

Kristoff raised his hands in surrender, then leaned towards Thor,

"Dude... what's with your lil brother?"

Thor smirked,

"He's longing to be with his Snow Queen..."

"Shut up Thor that's not why I'm mad!" He protested,

"Oh really? So you're saying you wouldn't rather be with her than your friends and brother?"

Loki winced,

"Well... uhh... I wouldn't say that... I just... important matters to discuss with her that's all!" He lied

Kristoff gave a cheeky smile, and looked at Sven,

"You know last time he said that you told me he was just making out with his lady love in the gazebo! How scandalous!!!" He said in the goofy Sven voice,

"True true..." he laughed in his regular voice with a smirk, patting Sven on the back,

"Just because you're making it seem like the reindeer is speaking doesn't mean I'm stupid enough to fall for it and not stab you..." Loki growled, Anna winced,

"Okay okay... let's get those supplies before a fight starts!"

They started on their way with the things back to the castle.

Olaf gasped as he watched the leaves blow down the road in the wind, and the clouds floating by in the sky,

Anna smiled,

"I love this time of year! Don't you?" She said to Jane, and Jane smiled hugely back,

"Oh definitely! I always say if you could cut summer in half and add time to spring, and winter in half to add to fall, that'd be an okay year for me!"

Anna giggled, watching little children and their families go by,

One day... one day me and Kristoff will be like the little families out and about... I just know it...

She sighed as she just paused to enjoy the cool breeze,

"Yes the wind blows a little bit colder! And we're all getting older! And the clouds move on with every autumn breeze!"

She smiled remembering the jack o lantern carving contest they had in Arendelle a couple weeks ago,

"Peter pumpkin has become fertilizer!"

"And my leaf's a little sadder but wiser!" Olaf laughed wiggling the hair like twigs on his head with little shriveled up leaves speckled across them,

"And that's why I rely on certain certainties!" Anna said cheerily,

"Yes some things never change!" They sang together,

"Like the feel of your hand in mine!" Kristoff laughed, taking Anna's tiny hand in his, Anna turned light pink like she always did.

"Oh some things stay the same!" Anna said as she smiled down at Olaf, "like how we get along just fine!" The three of them sang together

She ran alongside an old stone fence along the edge of the road to the castle,

"Like an old stone wall that'll never fall some things always stay true!!! some things never change like when I'm holding on tight to you!!!" She said looking at Kristoff with a huge smile,

Loki paused as the princess and the snowman pet of theirs and Thor's girlfriend practically skipped down the road, he stared longingly at the castle again,

"The leaves are already falling..." Loki murmured with a gentle smile, "Oh it feels like our future is calling..."

Kristoff froze, turning around with wide eyes, even Thor froze, as they started to realize what his intentions were,

"Are you telling me tonight you're gonna get down on one knee?!?" Kristoff said in that stupid voice, Loki sighed and shook his head,

"sorry couldn't resist..." Kristoff said with a shrug

"Yeah I guess but I'm so bad at planning these things out! Like the candlelight and pulling the ring out!" Loki said reluctantly

"Brother maybe you should leave all the romantic stuff to me?!?" Thor said excitedly, Loki grimaced,

"No thanks..." he said quietly and continued towards the castle gates, his eyes never leaving her bedroom window, Thor and Kristoff smirked at each other knowingly,

"But some things never change like the love I feel every time I see her!” He said as he climbed onto the stone wall, walking the length of it, hoping to get a brief glimpse of her, it had been so long, but sadly nothing,

“Some things stay the same!" He continued his voice full of hope for the first time in forever, literally, then he climbed back down off the wall to join the others.

"Like how reindeers are easier!" Kristoff laughed, nudging Thor, and Loki sighed, trying to ignore it,

"I wouldn't say stuff like that around your bride..." he mumbled, Kristoff and Thor winced,

Loki just shook his head, mainly trying to convince himself to go for it at this point,

"But if I commit and I go for it-

I'll know what to say and do!"

Then he turned to the other two guys,

"Right?!?" He pleaded,

"Some things never change..." Thor laughed shaking his head, Loki rolled his eyes,

"I don't know why I even talk to you..." he sighed, and Thor patted Loki on the back as he Kristoff and Sven passed,

"Go get your princess..."

Loki grimaced,

"Hey... she's a queen... if you're gonna mock me, at least get her title right..." he muttered as he followed them inside.

Elsa stood at the window, watching her family and her friends having fun for once down there, Loki wasn't with them though, he must have gone to the library downstairs, like he always did ...she smiled weakly,

It was better if he didn't come straight to her today...

Something was off lately. She didn't want him seeing her like this.

She took a deep breath, placing a hand to the window, a tiny tendril of frost swirled across the glass, she grimaced,

"The winds are restless...

Could that be why I'm hearing this strange call?

But is something coming?

Because I'm not sure I want things to change at all...

The days are precious...

I can't let them slip away..."

She smiled as she turned to look at a portrait she and Loki had made of just the two of them, the gentleness in his eyes that nobody else saw...

"I can't freeze this moment...

But I can still go out and seize this day!!!"

She said, nodding, putting on her silver tiara with the turquoise and amethyst stones her mother passed down to her, and donning her shimmering white cloak over her purple dress.

She almost ran down the hallway, then she stopped at the double doors, composed herself, and opened them,

Loki stared in awe at how beautiful his love looked at the top of the grand staircase, illuminated by the late afternoon sunlight coming through the window behind her,

"Wow... there’s my angel…" he whispered dreamily, and Thor chuckled,

"Some things really never change do they?" He said to Anna knowingly and she giggled, Thor could tease them as much as he wanted but she was happy for them...

They’d been through hel and back to find each other, and when they did…

They had found true happiness in each other.

After so long...

They both deserved it.

After as much as they'd been through apart as well as together... in the end they deserved happiness at last.

Elsa smiled, her face a light pink as she blushed and she walked out to greet them and the villagers outside.

"Yes the wind blows a little bit colder!" Elsa said with a warm welcoming smile,

"And oh my you all look a little older!" Olaf gasped, and Anna giggled,

"And it's time to count our blessings beneath the autumn sky!" Anna and Kristoff cheered,

"We'll always live in a kingdom of plenty!

It stands for the good and the many!" The villagers cried,

Elsa beamed with pride,

"And I promise you all the flag of Arendelle will always fly!!!" She said

"Our flag will always fly!" Anna sang,

Elsa turned to look at the sky, as the sun set against the flag of Arendelle, and smiled when Loki took her hand in his to watch alongside her, but he couldn’t help but look at her and he smiled,

That’s my girl… he thought

"Some things never change

Turn around and the time has flown

Some things stay the same

Though the future remains unknown

May our good luck last

May our past be past

Time's moving fast, it's true

Some things never change!!!"the whole kingdom sang together,

"And I'm holding on tight to you..." Loki said, kissing Elsa's cheek and then hugging her tightly against him, Elsa giggled, and leaned her head on his shoulder.

“I’m holding on tight to you…” Elsa whispered back.

"It's been so long my love..." Loki murmured into her hair, recommitting the smell of her shampoo to memory… it was just one of the many things he had missed about her while he was gone.

Elsa smiled sheepishly,

"Yeah... kind of an Arendelle tradition... I couldn't just let Anna do it alone..." she said, and Loki smiled,their friendship was adorable… “plus you said you had important matters in Jotunheim… so it worked out.” She continued,

"I know...about that actually…” but Elsa didn’t hear the last part, she was excitedly chatting with Jane and Anna, Loki sighed,

I guess it can wait… he thought.

Then Elsa smiled and motioned for Loki, Thor and Jane to follow her Anna Olaf and Kristoff inside,

"The guest rooms should be all ready for the three of you... wait til in the morning when you get to see the REAL festivities!" She said with a smile,

The Untamed, episode 43 - watching notes

The sun is setting on this show for me and I'm not ready to say goodbye yet 😔

(As if I will! Ha. Imma blog about nothing else the next ... probably years)

Last time on Sophie watches the untamed: We're still in the restricted section. The twin love-struck idiots of lan and wwx found the Collection of turmoil and suspect Jin Guangyao of intentionally bringing about Nie Mingjue's qui deviation.

As much as I love the "hihi. Wwx is wearing his boyfriend's underrobe" aspect of this, I also like the visual incorporation of lwj's colour scheme into wwx's clothes. (Not just through the undertone, his black tone also has slight grey seam.) It's as if now that they are finally fully committed to each other, wwx is displaying it for all the world to see

Jin Guangyao tore out a page to hide the evidence. That's not how to do that!!!

My heart is breaking for Lan Xichen. He looks like a man standing on a train track and watching the light speed towards him in horror while he's unable to move away

Feels like exactly no one on this show is getting their happy ending

Aaand another freeze frame. But I'm willing to forgive it because THIS EPISODE WAS SO GODDAMN BRILLIANT!

It made me realise why I was so drawn to lan Wangji as a character. Of course he is mu favourite character! He ticks every single box

Let me explain. My favourite characters almost always share the following characteristics: seems either cold and distant or ethereal and aloof, as if they are above such puny human things like feelings™️(bonus if they're actually not human and their argument is "I'm [insert species]. We can't feel [insert emotion they are definetly feeling very strongly]"). then, over the course of the story, we (along with they themselves because they were in denial) discover that it's not that they feel too little, they feel entirely too much. They're a sea of emotions so deep that the surface is calm, but don't you dare be near them when the storm is coming because all hell will break loose. (extra bonus point if that storm involves them rebelling against the oppressive society they were born into and adhered to until then because they realise their consciousness won't allow it any longer.) afterwards they realise that making themselves vulnerable once in a while is actually a good thing and they proceed to fuck the Rebel™️ who they've secretly been in love with the entire time, a feeling they only now allow themselves to act on

The last part sadly isn't always canon, but who has ever had time for that?

You know what this episode made me realise most of all? The Lan sect are just as human as the rest of them. In fact, they seem to be especially prone to acting rashly on strong emotions. (I don't remember the exact story, but didn't the founder of the Lan sect also have some kind of tragic love story?) It should be obvious, but the impression you get is that they are so detached from their wants, so rigorous and disciplined in their righteousness, that they are almost super-human. But no. Thise 3000 and some rules? They weren't born out of some enlightened mind that had the secret of live figures out, they're a crutch. Abiding by them without question rids one of responsibility to make even the tiniest moral choice for oneself. But that won't work because a) they're bounty to contradict each other at some point and b) that's not how human beings work. They're messy and unpredictable and beautifully complicated. The way Lan Qiren choses to apply them, he completely disregards that. At that point, the rules aren't there anymore to grant a harmonious society, but simply for their own sake. (Or maybe as a wall to hide behind)

Have you listened to Froy's songs? What do you think of them? A couple of gossip sites think they're cringe and maybe I'm the only adult who likes them. I liked Crash and Fix Me's lyrics are relatable. Just discovered Soldier in Distress from youtube today and I think that's his best so far, unfortunately, was never released. I don't think my taste in music is awful; I mean I love Bowie, Queen, Green Day, and Lorde too, and they're considered good artists. I'm impressed he write his own songs.

ok anon, first of all, your taste in music is of course not awful! music is very emotional and subjective - all kinds of music speak to different people for different reasons. I love Bowie, Queen, Green Day and Lorde too, and Elton John and Harry Styles and Troye Sivan and Fleetwood Mac and loads of other things. Ok, let’s talk about Froy...

I found the songs I thought I hadn’t heard but it turns out I totally watched the youtube videos before and had blocked them out. 😬

I guess I’ll try to go in some order...it’s very hard to tell what I like about the two live songs Friend for the Weekend and We Make Art. I wish the fans were 50% less enthusiastic so I could actually hear him. I think I like them, especially We Make Art. I like the chorus and the sing-songability of it and it sounds like the lyrics are clever. Friend for the Weekend sounds like a Justin Bieber song, which I don’t love but it’s a cute little song about hooking up, so sure, it’s fine. I like both of them better than Sideswipe.

Sideswipe used to be my least favorite but now I like Sideswipe better than Soldier in Distress, sorry. I can barely get through the song--I know he thinks of these songs as all “character studies” or something cerebral like that but Soldier has even worse production tricks than Sideswipe (more on that later) and has the absolute Number One Thing I Cannot Tolerate in a Song which is that gun cocking sound effect. No, no, absolutely not. I want to start a campaign to get music producers to stop using this ever. There is an older Troye Sivan song with that in there and it just fills me with rage every time I hear it [bitch you are from a country with nearly ZERO gun violence, you’ve probably never even seen a gun, why is this in here?!?!] [additional rant about America and gun culture goes here and yes I know Froy is making reference to that anxiety in some of his music but for me it’s a big no.]

Ok so Sideswipe, I am not a fan of the production. There are just too many tricks going on, that loop of his little brother saying awesome (it’s cute! I know it’s cute. it’s his little brother, I’m a monster ok), the water dripping...ok I haven’t listened to it in a while but I’m listening now and it’s not that bad. oh god what has he done to me.

Next I probably put When It’s Midnight? it’s another one that is overproduced for me. there’s just so many mechanized sounds (and more autotune, ugh) in there that maybe don’t need to be? especially for a dreamy moody song about anxiety late at night. I do like the lyrics, and I have cried listening to it a non-zero number of times.

Ok, Crash. I don’t like the autotune effect at the very beginning, but then when it gets going, ohhh this has vibes. He has some really nice vocal runs in this and I love the rhythm of a good driving song. This song probably is the most convincing to me that he has a good voice in there. He definitely needs some training and vocal coaching but he has a sweet voice and he can hit his notes. I like it.

And finally, we have Fix Me. I just...this is like a glimpse for me of how good his music could be with the right producers and guidance. It’s still all very electronic and produced, but it’s engineered so well for the feel of the song, and the lyrics are....like brilliant? I relate to this song way more than I’d like to admit. I have listened to it hundreds of times in quarantine. it’s so relatable...it’s so mature but also so universal, like I look at the comments on youtube about it and there are like, kids from all over the world talking about how much they relate to it, and me, sitting here, I am not a kid even remotely. I’m a grownup with anxiety that I’ve had a long fucking time, and he like, made this beautiful, perfect little song that really spoke to me, with all his 20 years of life wisdom. it’s his masterpiece, I love it, fight me.

agajsksns not gonna lie being 10 feet tall sounds awesome. i have no idea how tall that is because the only thing i know about feet (that sounds so wrong) is that google is telling me that i'm 5'6 (sorry to disappoint). which is. average height right? well it doesn't feel like it coz my best friends are giants. they're both 180+ cm tall and they constantly make fun of me for being short. but honestly i win because i can always make them reach things for me.

i laughed really hard at the picture my brain conjured up when reading about you dropping the vampire act and starting to pretend to be a mouse, just straight up scurrying up to the houses on all fours in a bathrobe is hilarious. i'd pay to see that. and yeah! me either. the number of times i've gone outside at night is probably like 3. that's counting that time when i went for ice cream at 11pm to the store on the other side of the street in my pajamas and then had to turn back because it apparently closes at 10 pm. that was a pretty big disappointment

a halloween themed birthday party sounds awesome! it's sort of disappointing though that you can barely remember it. the only themed birthday party i had (or at least the only one that i remember) was princess themed because i was on my princess faze back then (i was 5 or 6 i think). i still remember the sheer joy i felt at being able to wear a long fancy dress. it was brilliant

oh yeah! i'm still slightly scared of blenders because of that time. now anytime i even put my fingers close to the blade i unplug it first. also i saw you got a blender? i think we have one that's similar to the one you described. so i have a couple of suggestions! i like to make banana "ice cream". you just cut up a banana into pieces and freeze it, (i have no idea how long it takes to freeze i just generally always have frozen bananas in my freezer) then you take them out, let them sit for 10 minutes (to not break the blender when you use it) and blend them. i sometimes add frozen berries or peanut butter too! depending on what i want that day. it's great, especially because i'm slightly lactose intolerant too and i absolutely love ice cream. you can also make smoothies as you said. i usually put in mine whatever fruit we have, generally apples, bananas and oranges or grapefruits. or if i'm making one for breakfast (which i know you can't, but this is just a generally more filling option i think?) i also add spinach. you can't really feel the taste but it's supposed to be good for you and it fills you up more (it does make the smoothie super green though!). but yeah i pretty much just mix and match anything i have! also: milkshakes. ice cream, berries (optional) and milk! super easy and my little cousins love it when they visit!

ohhh your grater also seems to be out to get you. i bet it's really painful if it actually falls on your feet, because like metal. on foot. ouch. especially if it hits you with a corner! and i would definitely also get surprised every time it happened no matter how many times it did! bifocal glasses do not sound fun either tho. i would constantly forget how to use them and probably would just get headache really fast too! i get a headache from my normal glasses when i wear them (i usually wear contacts) so bifocal ones would be even worse i bet.

exactly. i had no idea what "hot" means. i thought you were supposed to use it when you thought a person was aesthetically pleasing? or like you thought they look cute? i dunno. i used it a couple of times before i realised that was not what that meant and then i was just like uhhhh yeah i'm gonna delete that word from my vocab. yeah! i think that ace and probably aro too are pretty hard to figure out because it's the lack of something.

ahahsksns i can imagine tiny Lindsey waking up on Christmas morning and running to the window expecting snow in the middle of summer and it's so funny! i can't say anything though because we have this saying in lithuanian which is used essentially when someone does something unexpected and unusual for them so you say "it's gonna snow tomorrow". as in "wow, [name] did [something super unexpected from them], it must be snowing tomorrow" (because like those are equally unexpected things i guess? but it's said in winter too so it's just something you say whenever, i'm sorry it's hard to explain!) but yeah a figure of speech. and anytime i heard that, even in the middle of summer, the next morning i'd run to my window and look for snow and when there was none, i'd just stare accusatorily at my parents. like wow, i can't believe you lied/let someone lie to me

horse races sound fun, i've never been to one though! and a picnic luch sounds awesome! i love picnics but we have them very rarely, i definitely think we should have them more often

and yeah, i get that acid reflux more of an annoyance than a problem but still! i completely agree with you about peanut butter though. it's amazing, i could eat it everyday

I know exactly how tall 10 feet is purely because I’m 5 foot so two of me is 10 foot. I barely know feet but I got used to people being confused when I was like oh, I’m 155cm! so I learnt what my height was in feet but I can really only visualise heights when I put them into centimetres. Someone can be like I’m 6 foot! and that’s great but I don’t have the faintest idea how tall that actually is. 182cm on the other hand is easy. that’s just like one ruler above my height. I can picture that. 5 foot 6 is probably average but as a short person, I consider you tall. That really isn’t saying much at my height but still sdflshdfks. Biggest benefit of tall best friends is indeed making them reach high things though.

And now we’re almost three weeks into the new year. Time seems to be flying this year. This is a very late reply indeed sdfjhskdfs. I did see this before I left but didn’t have time to reply, thank you though! I did have lots of fun. I had some birds try to invade the unit up in Orewa and I had a dotterel (I think) follow me along the beach at Ngarimu Bay playing some sort of red light green light game with me (it only moved closer and started following me again when I looked away) and I think a blackbird started some sort of mating performance at me which was flattering but uhhhh I’m a bit of a big bird mate. Maybe choose someone else. there was also beaches and gorgeous views etc etc but birds, y’know. birds.

i would 100% do that for money with no regrets. on one hand I could get a job and contribute to society. on the other hand I could do that as my main income. not a hard choice. hire me by the hour to freak your family and friends out. i have no respect for myself i’ll do it to anyone for the right price. damn. only closed one hour earlier. that’s a massive disappointment. i was out at night willingly for my high school prom and for a creative writing night at my uni and inside a car if that counts when I think my family was travelling back from the south island when I was younger. So three times that come to mind. Oh. And if stupid camp burma trails count then add a few times to that but those were not night outings I did willingly.

I can barely remember most of my life, I just assume it happened and I wasn’t just planted here at 12 years old as an alien spy. Anything’s possible though. I remember my birthday cakes more than my birthday parties to be honest with you. My mum always made the cake and when I was young she’d make fun designs. A bee, a bat, a swimming pool and a cat come to me off the top of my head. They were mostly just sponge cats but she cut them and iced them expertly. A princess-themed party seems like a very fun type of party for kids who like that. Kids always seem very happy to dress up in pretty dresses and cool outfits to attend those kinds of parties. I can imagine the joy. I know my little cousin looooves that sort of thing, and her brother isn’t willing to be left out either

I was wanting to try something with bananas and that sounds easy enough. I had an apple and feijoa smoothie while I was away on holiday and all I want is another one of those. So I’m very very very interested in trying out fruit smoothies now because they seem like they can be very very tasty. Spinach seems like such an odd thing to add but I’ve heard that several times now so clearly it’s a thing. I don’t think I’ve ever even had spinach. I’ll keep it in mind though. I suppose if I just try whatever fruit we have on hand eventually I’ll get something that tastes good. I have dairy free ice cream and dairy free milk so it seems like this could work out for me in a way where I’m not regretting my entire life. Normally when I go near a milkshake I regret the day I was born.

It isn’t a super heavy grater but I have intense survival instincts every now and then so it hasn’t actually hit my foot yet. I go diving in the other direction. But I think if it did I’d probably curse a few times before moving on with my life. I don’t think it’d be THAT bad. But I live in fear regardless. oh no. do your normal glasses have a slightly wrong prescription or is this just a thing that happens when you normally wear contacts,,, I’ve never worn contacts because I fear touching my squishy eyeball and also I think my shitty eyesight is too awkward for contacts so I have no idea if that’s a thing.

oh yes haha hot has been solidly deleted from my vocab for many years except in terms of temperature. It has a word that has never naturally come to mind and I’m sure it never will. It just seems weird when I use it.

I was a fool of a child and absolutely nothing has changed there! I mean I know how hemispheres work now but I’m still a dumbass at heart. Hahahahahaha oh nooooo. That’s incredible but oh noooo. I get what you mean by the saying though, that’d make a lot of sense here honestly since it never snows ever. Locally, at least.

i think horse races are just a form of betting and losing money that is frowned upon less than actual buildings based on gambling and such. I mean I only ever attended those ones, idk if all horse races are like that, but I know there was buying tickets for whatever horse you thought would win, and if they did you got money, if they didn’t you lost money. I don’t think it was a whole lot of money ? just like a few bucks ? but maybe you could choose to bet more ? I really don’t remember how it worked, I just remember accidentally finding a ticket on the ground and handing it in only to receive some money because the horse won. I think it was like 5 or 10 bucks which seemed like a LOT to my kid self. picnic lunches are fun though. my family keeps a tartan blanket in the back of the car that we use whenever we have picnics and also whenever we get takeaways (we put it in the middle of the lounge floor as the rest of my family eats fish and chips and I eat sushi, normally). But we don’t have as many as we used to. They are fun though.
