Maybe Eris acting unhinged? like insanely jealous or something?
Imagine Cecilia keeps you at the Cliffside Inn to repay a debt she orchestrated… you’re just trying to do your job as waitstaff in the casino to repay it. Serving platters of food and drink, chatting politely with customers.
Eris can’t stand watching you talk with other people. She interrupts your conversation, pressing herself against your side and wrapping an arm around your waist.
“E-Eris!” You try to protest as she leads you away, roughly grabbing the platter with xir other hand and letting it clatter onto a random table. You hide your face, mortified, as the angry voices of customers follow the two of you a short distance.
Once she’s got you alone, she pins you to the wall with a growl. “The fuck are you doing out there?”
“I-I’m just—”
Eris leans in, pressing her face into your neck and inhaling deeply. You shudder, and she presses you against the wall more firmly. Xir grip hurts. You try to say so, but she only grumbles and holds on a little tighter. Her sharp teeth press against the skin of your neck. Your heartbeat races, uncertainty and the reminder that you’re a prey animal to something like her turning your legs to jelly. Eris only lets go after breathing your scent for altogether too long.
Xe finally releases you with one last agitated snarl, looking down on you as you sink to the floor. She rolls her shoulders irritably as she walks out towards the beach, letting the both of you compose yourselves.

Whatever Keeps You Around (Rick Flag x Eris)
Summary: Based on this prompt, Eris runs into an immortal surprise in a very mundane place. (Title from First Time by Hozier)
Word Count: 2.1k
Tags: Mild jealousy, mild possessive themes, some mentions of violence.
____
"Go see if they have any bread you like, hon."
Eris nodded, ducking past him and half-jogging up to the shelf of artisanal bread in the corner of the store. This was why he'd picked this store, even though it was small and pricey and overly-organic: Eris claimed it was the only place in New Orleans that made bread the right way, whatever they in their mind deemed the right way.
All Rick knew was that it cost about eight dollars a pop and was loaded with spices he couldn't identify, and that Eris could go through three loaves a week if he let them. Usually he did. The one perk to working for Amanda Waller was the paycheck, and that allowed him at least enough wiggle room to buy the right kind of bread.
She jogged back up to him, two loaves wrapped in paper in her arms, just as Rick had finished thanking the deli clerk for his cold cuts and cheeses. Eris tucked the bread into the shopping cart almost delicately and promptly plucked the deli bags from his hands to inspect his selections.
"Oven-roasted turkey? Not the herb kind?"
"Outta stock. I've got thyme and stuff back at the house if it really bothers you," Rick replied, "What kind of bread did you pick out?"
"Honey-rosemary and something they call rustic medley," Eris muttered, "I'll be the judge of that."
"Sounds pretty good," he agreed, "Maybe we can make butter to go with it."
Eris tilted his head, something Rick stupidly misinterpreted as a lack of understanding.
"I saw it online, you just put heavy cream and a little salt in a mason jar, shake it u-"
"I'd be willing to bet I'm more familiar with making butter than you are, Flag." Eris cut him off, sharp as always, "But why?"
"I dunno. Seems like fun."
"You have a real strange idea of fun. And this is coming from someone who lived through tapestry being the popular hobby." they jeered, but tossed a carton of heavy cream into the cart as they passed the dairy case. Rick tried to hide his smile. If anyone was the definition of 'actions speak louder than words', it was Eris.
He stayed close to Rick's side as they wandered the store, occasionally tossing things into the cart on what looked like pure whim. Cans of tomato soup, the ones Rick remembered mentioning were his favorite because they reminded him of his childhood, made their way in alongside pretzels and peanut butter and bars of high-cacao baking chocolate. It was far too bitter for his tastes, at least in anything other than baked goods, but Eris could snack on it like a Hershey bar. She liked it for the same reason she liked the artisanal bread, he thought. Nostalgia, or the closest thing to nostalgia they could find.
"Lasagna tonight? Or should we just find something to stick in the oven?" Rick asked, frowning at the prices of the pasta boxes on the shelves. Eris was back at his side in a moment, moving so quickly and silently that he would have jumped if he wasn't used to it.
"Hm. Neither. Make your pot pie." he decided, and Rick felt him lean in against his side, "I have a taste for it."
His mother's recipe, the one he'd tried so hard to get right after her death, now lived on as a favorite in the mind of a centuries-old metahuman.
That one made him feel good.
He knew Eris wasn't one for public affection, but he still couldn't resist wrapping his arm around their shoulders and pressing a kiss to the top of their head. He pulled back quickly, before Eris could wriggle away or complain about looking soft, and waved a hand at the produce aisle they'd left in their wake.
"Go grab me a bag of baby carrots and some green beans, then," he said, then paused and corrected, "In a bag. Not just loose green beans."
"I know that, smartass." Eris huffed, rolling her eyes at him as she walked away. Rick suppressed a chuckle.
There was someone else in the produce aisle, apparently trying to decide between a starfruit and a cherimoya. They were half a head taller than Eris, with wavy brown hair halfway down their back and a flowing blue sundress swishing around their knees.
Rick didn't pay them much mind, and was about to turn and grab a can of biscuits when Eris froze in his tracks.
"Julius?"
The taller figure whipped around so fast it must have given them whiplash, and their eyes widened to the size of dinner plates. Rick could see, even from afar, that their features had the same strangely archaic look as Eris' own, though perhaps a continent and a few centuries apart.
"Oh my- Eris?" they stammered, then gestured vaguely at themself, "And it's- er, Wisteria now. Wisty."
"Wisty." Eris repeated, as if testing out the name, "You're... very not dead, for someone three hundred years old."
"Made a deal with a witch a while back. And you're... very tame for how I remember you."
That made a grin flash across Eris' face, quick and sharp and promising only dark things.
"Try me."
But Wisty didn't flinch. She just smiled right back, though this one was nostalgic, almost soft.
The thought struck Rick like a bolt of lightning.
Eris had a type.
Underneath the flowing fabric of her dress, Wisty had to be at least as tall as Rick himself was, and just as stacked with muscle. Old scars littered what bare skin was visible around her clothing, like she'd been a fighter in a past life- or perhaps still was. And she knew not to flinch at those shark-smiles Eris threw at her. Just like Rick did.
The thought made something strange bubble up inside him. He wasn't sure he liked it. As strange and twisted as Eris' affections could be, he'd never before had competition for those affections. It was actually one of the best things about being with them, knowing they'd always drift back to him at the end of all the chaos.
It wasn't Wisteria's arrival alone that had him so tense. What really got him was the set of Eris' posture as he spoke to her: leaned back slightly on his heels, shoulders loose, head tilted ever-so-slightly in curiosity. Casual. Relaxed. The only time he'd ever seen Eris truly relaxed was when they were alone with him.
"We should catch back up." Wisty decided, a smile slowly growing on her face, "Go... spar like the old times or something. I'm a lot tougher than I used to be."
"I don't doubt it." Eris said, their spine automatically straightening at the promise of a good challenge.
He deserved this, Rick thought. This was some sort of cosmic payback for those two years he spent pushing her aside in favor of June, for snapping at all the times they suggested making him into a metahuman like them - it was all to keep him safe, to keep him around.
Well, here was someone who'd stuck around. Who'd played the long game, the centuries-long game, the way Rick was always so afraid to commit to. Who could hold their own against Eris, when she still had to pull her punches against him.
"What do you think? My lance and your spear, or hand-to-hand?" Wisty asked, playfully throwing up her fists with a broad grin. Eris returned the gesture, bouncing on his toes a little.
It was like he'd forgotten Rick was there, just ten feet back. And even as much as he wanted to call out, to remind them... he couldn't move. All he could do was watch it all unravel before him, the can of biscuits still held tight in one hand. Suddenly his mom's old recipe didn't seem to matter much.
"It'll be like before. You and me," Wisty said, "The old war god and the king's footsoldier."
Then there was a different kind of tension in Eris' posture. The shift was sudden, her chin lifted and her shoulders drawn back, all joviality transformed into something more guarded.
"I'm with someone." he said, each word crisply spaced, and brushed past Wisty with smooth, disciplined steps. They grabbed a plastic bag and shoved a handful of green beans into it, pausing only to pluck a few wrinkled and undesirable vegetables from the lot and toss them back. Wisteria turned, fixing them with a tilted expression.
"You told me you wouldn't love another. You told me love was too painful. You told me... that I was the last one."
Eris snatched a bag of baby carrots, holding them tight in her hand as she turned.
"I was wrong." they said, chin set and eyes blazing, "And if you do a damn thing to him, if you hurt him thinking that'll bring me back to you, I'll kill you where you stand. And I will feel no remorse."
With that, he stormed his way back to Rick and tossed the vegetables into the shopping cart.
"You were staring." they muttered, taking the can of biscuits from his hand and dropping it into the cart alongside the rest of the groceries. Then, to his surprise, they folded their fingers into his own. For Eris, that was the equivalent of a public strip tease. Rick gave her hand a gentle squeeze.
"Yeah, I know. Couldn't help it." he admitted, knowing better than to try and duck around it, "First time I've ever seen one of your old friends. Didn't realize there was anyone else... like me."
"She wasn't like you." Eris huffed, ducking around his arm to give the cart a brisk shove, "Nobody's like you."
"It's alright if she was." Rick argued, "I know I'm not the only person you've loved, doll. That's okay."
Eris opened his mouth to respond, then reconsidered and shook his head. It must've been a lot to explain, or something they couldn't bear to speak in such public company. Their posture was still tense, shoulders stony, and they didn't spare so much as a single glance back at the produce aisle.
"Nobody's like you." she just repeated, even more set and sullen. Rick decided there were two ways he could take that: a sign that this love was real, or a sign that the pattern would end up repeating itself in a few years. He decided to take it as the former. The latter, true as it might be, felt far too pessimistic.
"Rome!" a voice called from behind them, and finally Eris turned. Wisteria had caught up, and fire a glance between the two of them. Rick met her eyes calmly, and found something strange swimming there. She returned her gaze to Eris, unflinching. "A hundred years. Rome. Then we'll have our fight."
Rick could hear the other half of her words: because he won't be around by then. Maybe he should have been offended by the implications. He didn't bother. He'd always known there would be someone after him. He didn't expect to meet that someone, but... this was life with Eris. He'd learned to get used to things like this.
"Fine." Eris agreed, though the firm look never left her eyes, "I will meet you on the steps of the Colosseum in one hundred years exactly. We will have our fight."
Their grip tightened on his hand unexpectedly, right on the verge of being painful. Wisteria's eyes fell straight to it, and she frowned a little. Eris must not have been any more affectionate in their prior life.
"But you will get no love from me then." they concluded, "They will bury my heart when they bury him."
Rick saw hurt bloom across Wisty's face, a shocked and helpless sort of pain, but Eris just spun and gave the cart another brutal shove towards the checkout lanes. Rick found himself pausing an extra moment, looking into Wisty's shockingly crestfallen eyes and debating an apology.
In the end, he just shut his mouth and trailed after Eris, leaving Wisty where she stood. He had a sense that speaking to her would only make things worse. It was better just for him to be, in her mind, some speechless nameless thing at Eris' heels. It was probably safer for the both of them.
He caught up to Eris just shy of the checkout lanes, right as they set a rotisserie chicken in the front basket of the cart. She glanced up at him as he approached and offered him something like a smile. It was a little pointed, a little irritated, but he didn't mind that too much.
"You're mine." she muttered, possessive like a wolf to its mate, "Until they put you in the ground, you're mine."
"I love you too, wartime."

I think I'm in love with ur oc. do u have any more ocs to share with us?
yes. i do actually!!!
I have so many of them. in the brain
Quick list and you can follow it up with a specific ask about them!!
Alyseris Rogare, a scion of House Rogare long after they lost nearly everything in the Lyseni Spring - all she has is the family name. Daughter of the Old Blood of Volantis. Thinks Westeros fucking sucks compared to Essos - thinks that peasantry and feudalism is just slavery with more steps (and this is bad because it's not *just* slavery). comically missing the point of the cycles of tragedy because whenever the tragedy starts rolling they hop on a boat and skip before it gets too bad. Used to be the wife of a Ghiscari noble but jumped ship and left him with their kid. Actually a trained brava. Incredible gender swag
Lady Asha Codd, of Codd Hall. She has a twin named Yara Codd. They're both married to another set of twins who are their cousins. They might actually all be siblings instead of cousins. She thinks it's a shame that House Codd's words are "Though All Men Do Despise Us". Thinks people should like them better, so she invests her money and house funds into mimicking a Greenlander court. Comically misses the point as the incest, stealing, reaving, thralldom and cannibalism still happen, she's just now prim and proper about it and has a single silken gown she bought from Lannisport and likes staring at the pretty stained glass window that broke when they stole it from a motherhouse. Very much manners forward.
Lord Mors Dustin. Actual total freak. Lord of Barrowton circa Dunk & Egg, so right after the Spring Sickness - everyone in his family died and he's obsessed with it <3 he spends all the money of House Dustin into barrows and graves and turns farmlands into graveyards and knows the cause of death of every major family in their lands at least five generations back. Thinks that the ghosts talk to him sometimes, he actually just has really bad insomnia. Convinced that he'll die under very specific circumstances. Gets into a relationship with a wildling that wants to murder him real bad during the Raymun Redbeard thing. It's cute and very violent
Lenore Sand beloved..... She's an Orphan of the Greenblood. Daughter of a major courtier in the Sunspear court and an Orphan, was raised by her mom until she almost drowned in the greenblood and got sick from it, was dumped on dad's footstep after that. Really keeps to the Rhoynish customs, dreams of getting to do a pilgrimage to the Rhoyne. Also a Greenseer!! But in a weird Rhoynish vibe of being underwater.... merging with fish and turtles and eels and critters. keeps a pet white raven she stole from the citadel that she named after her annoying younger legitimate brother Edgar and makes the raven say bad things in his voice
Lady Eris Hightower. Originally an Oakheart, she married a second son of House Redwyne. It was originally a pretty classic courtly romance, and they got married, but he didn't actually want kids!! And that fucked with her deeply because. Like. That destroys every conceit of womanhood in Westeros, right? And it's not like they have protection, so it's just. Moon tea and moon tea and being on bed half the time until eventually he dies mysteriously :). She marries a widower but childless Lord Hightower and they actually have a pretty good relationship, until he goes off with Daeron the Daring into Dorne with her eldest son and that's a breaking point. She goes full stereotype of an evil lady - she starts sleeping with septas, septons, knights and courtiers, ruling the court while he's at war and occupying Dorne, when he returns she's a little bit pregnant and the baby comes out not really looking like her or the dad, so she dyes her hair to pretend her hair was the right color all along for the kid :) kills her husband again so that's two for two and rules as regent for her children for a good hot second. just everything wrong with feudalism in a single woman. she was driven crazy by it and she's the exact flavour of crazy that only these highly hierarchical and fucked systems can produce.
Florian Storm! This is my less fucked OC but I still love them. They're a Steward of the Night's Watch that thoroughly embezzles the NW's funds to get themselves nice silks and jewellery and trades with the wildlings on the side to get some better food and all that. Bastard from House Trant, was gonna be a maester because they were an awful fighter and their dad hated them for that and being feminine until they beat up an acolyte a bit too much and they died (this is because they were having gay sex on the side and it spiraled out). the fact that they were condemned to hang for murder made their dad very happy and proud of them so they got to pack to the Wall with a nice set of sable gloves and mink cloak. They're just a bit scummy <3
those are the big ones!! I also have a few I haven't developed quite as much like Steffon Pyke, local loser maester who is a meathead but had to struggle through citadel college because the alternative was indentured servitude (they later get involved in colonialism), Alyn Whitewolf, who is a freefolk songstress descended very distantly from Jon in an AU where he stays with the wildlings instead of going back to the NW (her mission is going south to steal a wife <3) and Ser Robert Buckwell, knight of the Kingsguard who is utterly uninterested in anything but straightbaiting girls with his perfect little shining golden armor and big vow to never shed blood (this is why he uses a mace to make sure all the bleeding is internal) while sleeping with another knight of the Kingsguard on the side. he's like if the kingsguard was a boyband for real

Day One
Wrenna lowered her head as if she were trying to avert her eyes from her nemesis. “I hate you, you know that?"
Eris could only laugh. “Do you really?” Wrenna's voice was emotionless, and from what she could see of Wrenna's face, her expression was the same. Eris could tell that there was no true malice behind her words. “Or are you only saying that because you’re supposed to?”
Wrenna tensed, cuffed hands folding into fists. “What the hell do you mean by that?”
“It’s just food for thought,” Eris replied with a gentle smile. She leaned closer, resting her arms on the table. “I don’t have anything to do today, so why don’t we chat for a bit?”
“I’m not talking,” Wrenna stated, monotone. “You can’t tie me up and strap this on my face—“ She gestured towards the blindfold she was wearing—“and expect me to agree to a friendly little chat.”
Eris shot her a sympathetic look, forgetting that Wrenna couldn't see it. “Hey, I’m sorry about that, but it’s standard safety procedures. You’re going to ah—have to prove that you aren’t dangerous, but once you do that, they’ll take the blindfold off!”
Wrenna flinched back. “Is that what you want from me…?”
“I don’t—I don’t want anything from you, in particular.” Eris spoke in a measured tone, words carefully chosen.
Wrenna frowned and said nothing.
Eris reached out an arm and gingerly intertwined her fingers with Wrenna's. Wrenna flinched at first, and Eris almost drew back, but Wrenna grasped her hand tightly at the last second. Eris smiled, small but genuine.
“Let’s forget about the whole heroes and villains thing for a moment, okay? You’re just a person. And I can see that you’ve been hurt… so I just want to help you. And maybe we can be friends?” Eris’s voice was hopeful.
Wrenna tilted her head. She hesitated before replying in a low whisper. “I guess I’ll humor you for a little bit.”
Day Eleven
Soft ticking reverberated around the cell. For some goddamn reason, there was a clock in here somewhere. Not that it mattered. She couldn't see it anyways.
God, what she'd give to see a clock.
She wished for a lot of things, but right now, she wished for this the most. Honestly, she just wanted to know how much time had passed. Life was always lonely and terrifying, but now it was boring too.
At the very least, she'd like to be able to count the hours she'd spent in this cell.
She was lying on the floor, and she wondered what the ceiling looked like. Her vision was entirely obscured by jet-black cloth. Getting around was awkward now, but it wasn't like she was going anywhere. The cell was maybe a few paces wide, from what she could tell.
But the worst part—the part that made Wrenna want to hide under the bed or scream and rip through everything and everyone—was that the blindfold stopped her from using her telekinesis. It was fucking stupid—just a piece of fabric that she couldn't get off, and it had all been taken away from her.
She had never been this powerless before.
If she didn't have anything before, she truly had nothing now.
Her mind raced and her heart drummed loudly in her chest. She tensed, turning as still as a statue. Why? Why must this happen?
Actually, there was no point in asking. She knew why. Because she was a villain. Because she was dangerous.
Did they know that if she could, she would go back in time and erase all her mistakes? Choose to never hurt those people, to never commit those crimes, to never do the shit that landed her here.
But she was a coward who let herself be fully under Móirín's thumb.
Maybe she deserved this. Maybe she deserved to be here.
No, it wasn't a maybe, it was a yes.
Day Twenty-Six
Eris had begun to make a habit of visiting Wrenna. It was something she was quite grateful for. Eris was…somewhere, rambling about a book she had recently read, and Wrenna was sitting on the bed, her worries causing her to half-tune Eris out.
"And like, at the end, the trio hops onto the dragon, and they have to fly through a bunch of storm clouds to get to the Dark Lord's castle, and—hey, Wrenna?"
The abrupt stop made Wrenna jerk her head up. "Um, yeah?"
"Are you doing okay?
After some hesitation, Wrenna answered, "I…yeah, sure, I guess." God, she didn't even sound convincing to herself.
She heard Eris's footsteps walking closer to her. It unnerved her slightly, not knowing exactly where Eris was. A hand touched her shoulder, causing her to jump in surprise.
"Oh—sorry about that, my bad!" Eris exclaimed. "I just—I just wanted to let you know, I'm here for you, if you ever want to talk about anything."
Wrenna sighed and slumped over, running the words she wanted to say over and over again in her mind. The phrase was simple, but the delivery could be everything.
Finally, she simply stated, "I want to get out of here."
Eris didn't respond immediately. "You remember the offer, don't you?" she commented.
"Yes, and I've told you before, I'm not joining the heroes."
"Wrenna, it'd be for the best, you'd be safe, and you'd prove to everyone you've changed—"
"I have changed," Wrenna interrupted. "I'm not going to fight for anyone but myself, no matter how much they try to make me." She'd made that mistake with Móirín already. She wouldn't make it again.
Eris sighed. "Alright. But maybe think about it a little more."
The room went quiet, and the silence was deafening.
It was Wrenna who broke it. "I…I haven't read a lot of books, but the one you were talking about sounds great…can I hear more about it?"
"Sure!" Eris chirped, and Wrenna imagined that she was smiling.
Day Forty-One
To keep herself from going any more insane than she already was, Wrenna had invented a few little games for herself.
There was the "Guess That Noise!" game, which was always a little treat. Sometimes there'd be a humming sound, or a crash, or the sound of something zipping by. Usually, the sources seemed to be mundane. The whir of a vent. Someone dropping something heavy upstairs. An annoying, evil mosquito. Sometimes she could make out the faint sounds of cars in the distance.
Lately, she'd added another part to this game, where she made up a story behind the sound that was much more fun. An electric field about to zap something. A piano falling from a window. A wedding cake toppling over. A murder—no, not a murder. Not that. She didn't want to think about that.
It was usually an interesting game, but she couldn't do it all the time. Wrenna had other things to occupy herself, though.
She also had the drawing game, which mostly consisted of lying on her stomach on the floor and making scratches on the cold linoleum floor. She couldn't exactly see what she was drawing, but she could imagine it might look like something a feral animal would make. Or maybe it wasn't visible at all.
Wrenna had no way to tell if she was scratching hard enough, but one day, she noticed warm liquid running down her fingertips. When she ventured to sample it, it tasted like a drop of copper on her tongue. So she knew that she'd probably made some type of mark, even if it was just bloodstains.
And there was one final game as well. Wrenna didn't particularly like playing this one, but she couldn't stop herself from doing it. It didn't have a name. It simply consisted of trying to get the restraints off.
The handcuffs had a generous chain and left her hands in the front, but they were still weighty, awkward, and uncomfortable. They had a rough texture that was a little soft when poked—Wrenna guessed it was leather padding, and as far she could tell with her hands, there wasn't a lock she could pick or break.
And she constantly found herself fiddling with the blindfold, but the damn thing had so many straps and even a fucking lock. Wrenna couldn't get it off, and yet she was still constantly trying. Where the hell did the heroes even get something like this?
Even with all these little activities, there was too much time in the day—or night? She couldn't tell anymore—to think. To ponder over all her mistakes and failures. Why did you do this? Why have you ended up here? Why, why couldn't you have just never been born?
More often than not, the blindfold was damp with tears.
Day Fifty-Two
Eris was back again. Back for another little conversation about the smallest things, heart-to-hearts that meant so much to Wrenna. Eris was standing by the door, and the two had been conversing for what felt like hours.
"Really? You never had any stuffed animals as a kid?" Eris asked her, incredulous.
Wrenna shook her head in response. In the back of her mind, she wondered how many times Eris made these kinds of gestures that she was just unable to see.
"We've got to fix that! I'm getting you a plushie. What's your favorite animal?" Eris's voice was suddenly much more animated and excited.
Wrenna felt her cheeks become hot, and she cracked a nervous smile. "Aww, you don't have to do that for me."
"But I will," Eris promised. "It's really nothing, and plushies are so important."
"Um…I like canaries a lot," Wrenna said in a soft voice.
"A canary plush it is then!" Eris confirmed.
She paced for a bit before sitting down on the floor, next to the cot that Wrenna was sitting on.
"I still can't believe you didn't have any plushies as a kid," Eris commented, voice a little sad.
Wrenna frowned. "If I had any stuffed animals, Móirín would have probably taken them away eventually," she mused.
"God, that's fucked," Eris murmured, giving Wrenna's hand a soft squeeze.
Wrenna shrugged. "It's fine. Not the worst thing she did by a long shot."
Eris was silent for a while, and Wrenna wondered what she was doing.
"Do you need to talk about it…?" Eris finally offered.
Wrenna opened her lips, and mouthed a few syllables, trying to figure out the right answer, how to phrase things. "I…"
She honestly did want to talk about it. But the prospect of telling someone was frankly terrifying. Her entire life with Móirín was an exercise in learning how to be quiet, how it was better to scream and sob than spill any information at all.
"It's…I don't know. It was a lot." Wrenna said carefully, tone kept measured and even. "I never wanted to be a villain, you know… But Móirín wanted it. And well, she won." Móirín had always made it known to Wrenna that she owed her. So Wrenna followed her orders, and paid the price when she didn't.
She shrugged. She didn't know what else to do.
She felt a supportive pat on her shoulder. From Eris, probably.
"Wow, that should have never happened to you…" Eris remarked. "But hey. You can be whatever you want to be. You're safe now. I promise that to you."
Her voice was so kind, so sweet and gentle, that at least for the moment, Wrenna truly believed she could trust Eris.
Day Sixty-Seven
Eris was the only thing Wrenna looked forward to, now. She was the only person Wrenna ever talked to—maybe no one else cared to talk to her, maybe she was just appointed—whatever, Wrenna didn't care. She just wanted to hear someone's voice.
And maybe, one day, see Eris's face.
But Wrenna had gotten used to the darkness, and she was starting to doubt if she'd ever see anything again.
As she stroked the little canary plush in her hands, Wrenna racked her mind, trying to think of something to say to her only friend. But her list of conversation topics was starting to dry up. She'd already told Eris everything. About the things she once saw and liked to do, about the secret hobbies she hid from Móirín, and Móirín's plans, their location and secret hideouts, and about the people who worked with them, too. She'd even told Eris about some of her regrets.
Nothing was off the table. And she didn't care if she was spilling valuable information anymore. She'd be happy if everything blew up in Móirín's face.
"Wrenna…?"
She turned her head in the direction of Eris's voice. Oh god. She was going to leave. Wrenna had nothing to say, and now Eris was just going to go. She was too boring. Everything was boring. Wrenna had nothing to do and that was so boring which had made her boring and Eris was going to lose interest, maybe she wouldn't come back—
Eris's voice interrupted her spiraling thoughts. "Um. You look pretty deep in thought. What'cha thinking about?"
Wrenna turned her head away. "I…" She could tell Eris. Eris treated her kindly. Eris always had soft, gentle words to say. She felt almost trustworthy, even.
Tears started streaming down Wrenna's face. Fuck. Fuck. Not now.
"I-I just…" Wrenna's voice cracked, and she buried her face in her hands. "I can't do this anymore!"
"Hey, hey," Eris soothed. Wrenna heard the bed creak and felt Eris's arms wrap around her, and she felt just a little more safe and secure. "It's okay, let it out…wanna talk about it, more?"
"I think—I think I'm losing my mind—oh god, how long have I even been in here?" Wrenna croaked.
"It's been, um, it's been a while," Eris murmured.
Wrenna leaned on Eris's shoulder, melting into the hug. "Please—I have to get out. Can you get me—can you get me out of here?" she whispered to Eris, every few words punctuated with a sob of utter longing.
"I…I'm sorry, but I can't. Not unless you, you join us," Eris mumbled in reply, sounding disappointed in herself.
"Oh," Wrenna sighed, defeated.
I think I'd rather die.
Day Eighty
Even though she couldn't see, Wrenna now knew the cell like the back of her hand.
Her reference was the wall where the ticking noise came from, the one that the clock was mounted on. On the opposite end of the ticking was the wall with the door. Across from the door, to the right of the ticking, was her cot, layered with extra blankets and messy sheets. To the left of the ticking was the door to the bathroom.
She had probably felt the walls hundreds of times by now, circling the cell and running her hands along the smooth paint, like what she was doing now. As far as she could tell, there weren't any bugs, though she didn't doubt that there was a camera somewhere out of her reach.
Lately, she had invented a new game. It was a bit morbid, and sometimes she wondered if she really should be playing it, but she had nothing else better to do.
It was a straightforward game—she'd find an object, feel it, and let her mind wander, thinking about ways she could use it to kill herself. Sometimes her ideas could be horribly creative, but none of them were particularly easy or painless.
Still, maybe she'd actually do it one day. Any other ending was starting to seem like a dream and an impossibility. There was nothing but her and the darkness and her stupid fucking brain and the cell that she couldn't see.
Wrenna leaned against the wall, then sunk to the floor, and sighed. There still wasn't anything to do. The cell was practically barren and empty. It was probably that way for a reason. Maybe it was empty to give the inmates fewer opportunities to kill themselves. Or maybe it was because they didn't deserve any better.
If she died here, she would die a prisoner. Which was depressing, considering that she had been one all her life. But it felt like such a minuscule concern compared to the prospect of finally ending this horrible existence.
She wanted freedom, but she'd settle for death.
Day Ninety-Five
Wrenna was lying on the cot, tangled in her sheets. She hadn't left the bed in days, and she didn't want to, either. Her mind was filled with static that pinned her down to the cot and sapped her motivation to do anything at all.
There was a knock on the door. Probably Eris. "Yeah. Come in." Her voice was tinged with a permanent sadness now, hopelessness bleeding through her words.
She heard the turn of the lock and the heavy cell door swinging open.
"Hey, Ren," Eris greeted, in that sweet voice that sounded like calm ocean waves.
"Hey…stay here for a while, please?" Wrenna had nothing to talk about. And yet she still wanted to be with Eris, anyways. Not that she deserved her, or any sort of friend. But if this was how Eris chose to spend her time, Wrenna wasn't about to argue.
"Of course." Eris sat down on the edge of the bed, and Wrenna shifted to give her more space. Eris clasped Wrenna's hand, and Wrenna enjoyed the warmth.
Eris started talking about a recent mission, and Wrenna truly did want to listen to every word, but it was all too easy to get sucked into her thoughts, her guilt, and her death wish.
Wrenna honestly didn't really remember what she felt guilty about anymore. She knew that she hurt people. And she recalled the moments, the twisting of a knife, the shrieks, and the sirens. But the past was starting to fade away and fall into the darkness. Now there was only the cell, the wretched, suffocating little box, in the waking hours, and Móirín's house in her nightmares.
She was nothing. This life was nothing. Every hour was just prolonging the agony. Even when Eris was there.
There was something she needed to ask Eris.
"Eris?" she softly called out.
Eris quickly responded. "Yeah?"
Wrenna took a deep breath and squeezed the plush canary underneath the blankets to prepare herself for asking. "Eris, I-I…" Her voice trembled, and she felt tears soaking into her blindfold.
"I need you to kill me," she finally imparted.
Eris was silent for a long time. "…What?" she whispered, with quiet horror.
"Please," Wrenna begged, "please, that's all I want… I feel like I'm dying in here. I can't take this anymore. Can you—can you kill me? I can't kill—I can't kill myself, so—so I'm asking you, to, to do it."
"No, Ren, god no, I can't do that. I'm not going to kill you. Oh, god. My god," Eris panicked. Wrenna heard Eris's heartbeat starting to race, matching her own.
Eris squeezed Wrenna's hand tightly. "I can't. I would never hurt you." Eris was crying now. Wrenna could hear it.
"It's okay. I'm sorry for asking," Wrenna apologized, voice quiet. She tried to hide the disappointment and strange relief that welled up inside her.
"No, no, it's—" Eris took a deep breath. "Okay. Okay. I think I have to—no, I will."
"Ren, I'm going to get you out of here," she declared.
"If I join the heroes, right, I've heard it all before," Wrenna supposed with a sigh.
"No. I'm going to get you out of here regardless," Eris promised, grave determination in her voice.
Wrenna couldn't believe it. "Really?"
"Yeah. Really. God, I'm so sorry—I should have done something earlier." Eris's voice cracked with regret.
It was Wrenna's turn to clutch Eris's hand. "It's—it's okay. When do we—when do we leave?" she ventured, a spark of hope igniting in her heart.
"How about right now?" Eris offered.
Wrenna's cracked lips curled into a smile, her first in a long time. "That sounds great to me."

Eris
SRN.011 - エリス “-and nobody will ever miss you~”
Good Point - Adaptable Bad Point - Being herself Like - Flowers Dislike - Getting punted
3’1” (93.98 cm)
A Stardroid whose primary function is holographic impersonation; you’d almost never see Eris in her true form, as she spends most of her time in the forms of other robots. She possesses truly staggering scanners and a massive drive for storing not only the appearances and personalities, but also entire memories of the robots she seeks to impersonate, making her disguises nearly perfect, pending how recent her scans are. However, her impersonation keeps her regularly in touch with other robots, ensuring they stay pretty up-to-date.
This does make her effectively genderfluid as probably 95% of the robots she could impersonate in the setting are male. On the downside, her disproportionate amount of time spent acting like others does make her own personality growth a bit stunted, and she is very scatterbrained, indecisive, and anxious when not impersonating anyone.
Apart from her arbitrarily insect-like appearance, her smooth golden plating hearkens to the Golden Apple of Discord.
Though her closed ‘apple’ form is far too large to fit ‘inside’ a majority of her holograms, she not only looks but physically feels like whoever it is that she is impersonating through space-bending BS Alien Magic-Tech. Pinpointing where her real body is masked and damaging it directly through the hologram with piercing damage will drop it, though hitting the hologram anywhere else will incur simulated damage on the hologram. As a result, she is primarily weak to cutter weapons.
Originally built exclusively for espionage, she basically exists to piss people off and start arguments by pretending to be other people, and spreading misinformation.
Eris lacks her own ‘signature’ weapon, since she primarily utilizes slightly weakened copies of those of whoever she’s impersonating (a good way to tell a robot is Eris in disguise is to notice subtle limitations in their abilities; the best is to just have the person she’s impersonating catch her doing it), but she can also emit a scrambling AOE pulse/’buzz’ that temporarily stuns and disorients other robots with glitch-like hallucinations, but it deals no damage.
Technically associated with a dwarf planet in the Sol system, her original allegiance was to Sunstar and Terra... but upon being sent to 'investigate' Antares, she was captured. To avoid destruction, she pleaded to be spared, promising that she would work as a double agent. While Antares had no intention of really having a planet minion, she nevertheless allowed it on the basis that Eris stay out of her way for the most part, and spend most of her time just sowing distrust and mayhem.
This is the reason behind Eris' single antenna; she used to have two, but the one that was destroyed was effectively her 'transmission' antenna, the one for reporting back, so with it gone she's believed by the others to be 'dead', which allows her some extra buffer for shenanigans until she's caught the first time.
While there is no clear proof, the subtle animosity between Eris and Pluto hints that Eris was likely responsible for his demotion in ages past, even before Eris defected.
- Dubiously Canon Offshoot -
Tumblr media
If she were to have an empty-eyed HEC/SEE/Giga variant, she would forego espionage entirely in favor of overdriving her hologram powers to use two ‘disguises’ simultaneously, creating nightmarish, melted-together ‘hybrid’ hologram bodies.

I have seen you mention Eris a few times now for OC things, and I'm curious what fandom she belongs to (or fandoms if she's made to be multi-fandom)? Have you included her in any of your works, or is she more of a 'personal-only' type of OC? Also, is her name derived from the Greek goddess of Strife?
No fandoms, just a vampire oc I made up in high school. Kind of an answer to this specific feeling vampires gave me - I felt like they were a representation of feeling both frozen and afraid to unfreeze, because what waits for you when you finally start healing? How much time did you lose?
She changed stories and names over the years; this one finally stuck because of the reference to the goddess. Much of her history is chaos and strife, so now the name is hers. I’m revisiting her story again recently because I might want to actually write it? Just not sure how to go about it yet, heheh. Original work hasn’t come as easily to me as fanfiction has.

Lmao okay Eris sweetly cuddling Darling, tracing across their limbs and torso with her fingertips, musing about how fragile humans are, whispering all this into Darling’s ear~
Meanwhile Darling is just like. “Am I being threatened rn?? 🤨😰”

Due to shenanigans, your OCs have to go clubbing! What do they wear, and what do they do?
Oooh thank you!! Good question!!
(just for the record, this is like... a random mix of their actual faceclaims and just random outfits I picked out for them lol)
Rae: The only reason she'd be in a club is for some sort of mission assignment (she doesn't drink, and doesn't really enjoy being crushed in by the crowd anyway). She'd have to borrow a dress, probably from Raven, which means that she ends up in something quite a bit more revealing than she wanted
Tumblr media
Robin: I could see her in a green cocktail dress like this, and she's probably up by the speakers, enjoying the feeling of the bass rattling under her feet
Tumblr media
Madison: She doesn't really enjoy attention from strangers, so she's probably wearing something looser and less form-fitting, and sticking to Alex the whole time (honestly, the only reason she'd really be in a club at all is if they needed to do recon at the Hellfire Club or something)
Tumblr media
Ophelia: Honestly I think any one of Rhea Ripley's stage outfits could work for her, but I'm gonna go with this one in particular
Tumblr media
She probably dances for a bit, until one of the speakers glitches out and she ends up stepping up to tweak/fix it
Jasper: Hm... they're probably just tossing on a band t-shirt and a pair of jeans, maybe would throw on a little punk makeup if they felt like it. They probably wouldn't worry too much about their outfit, since they'll probably be hiding out in the bathroom until they can leave (since the emotions of everyone else out on the dance floor would be suffocating)
Katherine: I don't see her as much of the clubbing type, but I imagine she'd wear something like this (and probably just bring her sketchbook and hole up in the corner to sketch the crowd until she's allowed to leave lol)
Tumblr media
Kestrel: Has no idea what a clubbing outfit should look like (has never been inside a club in their life), so they end up going in whatever they were wearing before - most likely a button-up and work pants.
Quinn: Most likely something so punk and revealing it's probably right on the verge of getting them thrown out, but I also really love this look (and Mason Alexander Park is my faceclaim for Quinn anyway)
Tumblr media
She doesn't really dance anymore, but she'll get a few drinks and watch the rest of the Ghosts make fools of themselves as they get progressively more drunk.
Eris: In all honesty.... I have no idea if Eris would wear this to a club, but I need you to appreciate this picture of May Calamawy because holy shit
Tumblr media
Nikoletta: This is actually the dress I picked out for her to wear in la Gatita Amable, so...
Tumblr media
As far as what she's doing, she's dancing her heart out. She used to love clubbing before she got her shadow-touch, and she'd love to step back into that world once she's safe to touch again. She's a fantastic dancer, but you can bet that everyone around her is wondering why she's turned down about four different men (and women) in favor of staying next to the guy who looks like he stepped out of a bad 70s disco XD

ciel + branding?
isaac + waterboarding?
eris + being forced to torture wrenna?
(for the most recent ask game you reblogged)
Send me an OC + a whump trope or method and I’ll reply with how well they would handle it on a scale of 1 to 10.
TROY YOU LIKE GOT THEM ALL IN THEIR WEAK POINTS
Oh god if Ciel got branded at the Prison,,, I don't think he would handle it well at all. I mean a permanent reminder of the horrors that he's experienced literally burned into his skin??? That would haunt him. Especially since it's for a crime he never committed and a prison sentence he doesn't deserve! 3/10 he would be screaming and crying the whole time
Just ignore me making this canon now :) (post-prison arc he covers it up with makeup and clothing)
Isaac does not handle anything that cuts off his breathing well. Waterboarding would terrify him so much. Especially if he's restrained and can't fight back omg. 2/10 he is scarred for life forever and ever
Oh that last one. Troy you are so evil. I geniunely don't think that there's anything that could get her to do it. Not even if she's tortured. Not even they torture Wrenna so much worse if she doesn't do it. She could not bring herself to betray her own nature and her friend this violently. And if she did, well either why she'd never be able to live with herself. She'd see how her friend can't look at her the same way anymore and she'd hate herself for it. 0/10 this is too cruel

I like how you reference Eris’ discovery leading to Pluto’s demotion in your OC Eris’ profile
So how did Eris get Pluto demoted in your canon(?) was it an accident or was it intentional?
