Haikyuu Boys bake Macarons w their gn s/o

iwaizumi, oikawa, akaashi, kuroo,

Warnings: fluff, if anyone comes up w something i missed please lmk

A/N: I had a bake day and my biggest flex was 2.5/3 successful batches of macarons and then this idea was born 😎

Iwaizumi

We’re gonna say this isn’t the first time you’ve ever made these

You guys just wanted to do something fun together on a weekend you both had free and you were in the mood for a project

You make him get the kitchenaide out of the cabinet cuz its heavy af and he’s Muscle Man

He isn’t big on baking and prefers cooking for you but when you hit him with the 🥺 he agreed to help

Helps you measure everything out and puts all the ingredients away as you go

Calls you a dumbass when you dump the powdered sugar into the food processor too fast and it poofs in ur face

Offers to separate the eggs while you sift the dry ingredients

Wraps his arms around you from behind while you hyper focus on whipping the egg whites and adding the ingredients at the right time

You let him pick the color and he asks if you could do the Seijoh colors

Yes ofc babe ily 😌

Once all the batter is ready for piping you split it into 2 bags and see who can make theirs more uniform

You make him a special set shaped like a jersey but hide it for later

Cuddles you for the hour that they have to dry before baking

You kick him out of the kitchen for the decorating and filling process

Smiles really big when you hand him the little #4 jersey you decorated with white buttercream and icing

He takes a pic and sends it to Oikawa to flex his amazing s/o’s baking skills

He doesn’t want to eat it cuz its so cute and perfect (like you)

Lots of kisses earned for that one

Overall a success 1000/10 would bake w Iwa again 😌✨✨✨

Pronounces it with an obnoxious french accent every. single. time.

It’s macaROHN not macaROON

I h8 him but he’s right

He definitely has tried a lot of different of flavors (courtesy of the fanclub)

Chose vanilla for some reason idk

Helps collect the ingredients but other than that just watches you do your thing

Chooses the playlist and sings along with you

You ask him if he wants a specific color or shape and he jokingly says volleyballs

Gets excited when you say “that’s so cute! I can do that!!”

You let him help with the buttercream cuz it’s pretty hard to mess up

He swipes some on your nose to be cute

You return the favor and he makes the pikachu meme face

Stands behind you and holds his phone so you can see a picture of a volleyball

Purely coincidence that he’s in the pic too

He thinks its cute when your tongue sticks out while you focus on drawing the lines right with an edible marker

Makes sure you take pictures of them before he eats one

Posts on his insta abt it

Loves them so much and asks if you could make them for his birthday or next team party

10/10 fun quality time

Akaashi

Ok this man is PREPARED

He makes sure you have all right ingredients and bowls and such

Checks the recipe and buys enough for a second batch in case the first goes wrong somehow

Probably watched a youtube video on making macarons the night before so he would know what to do and prints out a template for the cookie size

You offer to make them coffee and chocolate flavored cuz that’s his favorite and he melts a little

Breaks out the scale and helps you measure out everything in grams like a professional

Sifts the dry ingredients for you

Calms you down when you get overwhelmed and worried you did something wrong or missed a step

“Keiji, do you think these peaks are soft enough??” “Yeah that looks like it did in the video. We add the sugar now right?”

2 relatively anxious people in a kitchen

His piping skills are better than yours sorry bud

blame the pretty setter hands 🙌

Puts on a movie for the waiting period and preheats the oven for you when it’s time

Smiles at your expression when they come out perfect

Helps you fill them with the coffee buttercream

Arranges them on a nice plate for photos and takes pictures

Baking is basically edible chemistry so when u ask him to help he jumps at the chance

You ask him chemistry questions related to meringue and the macaronage process

“Hey Tetsu, why do egg whites turn into foam when whipped a lot?”

“Why do eggs foam better when lukewarm?”

“Why do macarons taste better the next day or so?”

If he doesn’t know the answer he’ll google it and get back to you

He reads the whole scientific explanation to you and if you get confused or he uses a word you don’t know he explains it

Very educational process

Cracks baking jokes

You choose to do lemon macarons cuz why not (lemon meringues r sooo good just saying)

He mostly reads the recipe to you a loud and hands you things

Has an apron w a bad pun on it 😒

Keeps distracting you during the mixing process with hugs and kisses

Pretends he told you the directions in the wrong order just to see you panic for a second

You smack him upside the head for that

Now he has powdered sugar in his hair

He smiles so big from the pun and how happy you are with the result of your hard work

9/10 only cuz he made a mess and kept trying to mess you up

100 Reasons Why Rocketshipping Is Superior To Any Other Pokémon Ship

(Part 1)

1. Jessie and James? Musashi and Kojiro? Really? It’s like they were made for each other 😉😉.

2. They’re grown adults, they have a better chance at staying together compared to 10 years olds (with Ash. ASH).

3. We have 20 years of Rocketshipping footage. 20 YEARS.

4. When it becomes canon in the anime, they won’t separate (hopefully) and will stay together forever. Then we get more shipping IN THE FUTURE instead of maybe 5 moments FROM THE PAST like most of the other pokémon ships.

5. It’s canon in the manga “The Electric Tale of Pikachu”.

6. Episode 31 of Pokémon XYZ, “A Gaggle of Gadget Greatness!” When James pulls ThIs sHiT

7. Episode 63 of Pokémon XY, “A Fork In The Road, A Parting Of The Ways!” Now don’t get me started cos imma start sobbing.

21. Episode 16 of Pokémon Indigo League, “Pokémon Shipwreck!” when James freaks out and calls Jessie “Jessica” and she’s reassuring him like, “It’s oke me bby boi I won’t let te fire hurt u.”

22. It’s honestly one of the only relationships I find realistic (compared to the 7-15 year old shippings like Bonnie and Max or May and Drew). I mean, they’re together all the time and sleep in the same room (or area, at least). They’re grown adults and have freedom to a large extent. And, well, it’s hard to imagine that they haven’t gotten spicy at least once 🤷🏽‍♀️.

23. People make the most amazing fan art and fanfiction for Rocketshipping, and even just Team Rocket alone. I feel like a large portion of the Pokémon franchise are just a bunch of talented-ass people. This isn’t a good reason but I just had to say it.

24. Episode 146 of Pokémon Diamond & Pearl, “Dressed for Jess Success!” James dresses up as Jessilina because Jessie is ill and can’t show up to her Lilypad contest. Jessie’s pissed at the end bc James wins and people like him as her more than her as her. At least they hug, though. Like, genuinely. It’s fking adorable.

25. They’re just cute together.

26. James knows Jessie well enough to understand her tough exterior.

27. Jessie could’ve totally wanted to stay with Dr. White (ep63 of XY) and try to get him to love her and not that 4’11” chick or something. BUT NO. Every time their trio has tried splitting up, they always find their way back to each other.

28. I can’t see them with anyone else that would end up being long term. Otherwise, I totally ship Faba (or Bitch- I mean, Butch) and James or Cassidy and Jessie.

29. Their hair colors are supppperrrr complimentary.

30. The episode “Training Daze” showed the true relationship of Jessie and James. James falls on top of Jessie and it’s the best thing ever. Well, the best thing NEXT to the thought that they would’ve kissed in that moment.

31. The fact that a ten year old can kiss another ten year old means that two twenty five year olds can MOST CERTAINLY GO FARTHER.

32. There’s so many fans of this ship it’s crazy.

33. Anti-Rocketshippers? Never heard of them.

34. Opposites attract.

35. This is more about Team Rocket in general but they just make an episode so much more interesting.

36. They literally can’t not be together, okay.

37. When they call each other “Dear”. Ah I just fuckin love that shit.

38. On that bulbagarden website there’s literally like one gigantic page of just straight up rocketshipping moments.

39. The writers know exactly what the fuck they’re doing when they make a Rocketshippy episode or moment.

40. Meowth would totally make fun of them, and Wobbufett would join in.

41. They both have shitty backgrounds and came together because of that. It was bound to happen.

42. James loves Jessie. 100%

43. Jessie loves James too.

44. Even if that love is mutual, it’s still there.

45. They can flaunt their gayness and still look absolutely amazing together.

46. There are so many songs that describe their relationship. For example,

• Partners in Crime - Set it Off

• Claudia - FINNEAS

• Make a New Dance Up - Hey Ocean!

• Team Rocket - Lil Uzi Vert

• Double Trouble - Pokémon

and etc.

47. The Pokémon Writers were originally going to have them end up together if season 1 ended the entire show. That alone says a lot.

48. They wouldn’t be the typical couple, and be like completely straight and have a big family or whatever. They would probably have the craziest wedding ever, a lot like @musashi said in a post. And they would be two bisexuals that crossdress together every now and then and it would be absolutely amazing.

49. Jessie’s emerald earings look a lot like James’ eyes and ahhabsjahahagab I love that.

50. Writing fanfiction or drawing some fan art is super fun because there’s so many scenarios that they could be in.

Thank you! Anyway, this one needs a little context before I can dive right in — this summer in the ikarishipping discord, we were talking about an AU where where Brock is not the part of the traveling trio in the DP Series, but Paul is. So here are some brief glimpses (yeah, there’s more than one minific here; really it’s a collection) into that scenario, because I don’t have enough ideas to craft a full story. If you’re interested, I’ll be posting this on AO3 and (maybe) FFN and an appendix with little tidbits about the AU that couldn’t make it into the minifics at the end!

U-Turn - After making its attack, the user rushes back to switch places with a party Pokémon in waiting.

“Tch. Fine. Have it your way,” Paul grumbles to his Murkrow, whose beak is turned away defiantly from the poffin in his hand.

A sweet giggle comes from beside him. “Hey! Come on, guys, one at a time!” Hmph. Dawn’s Pokémon — and his and Ash’s, for that matter — are all over her poffins.

“Aww, c’mon, buddy! Mine can’t be as bad as Paul’s!”

“Pika … ” Pikachu looks apologetic as he makes a face at the taste of the burnt poffin in his mouth, before scampering to Dawn.

Murkrow, too, looks intrigued by the crowd forming around Dawn. “Krow!” he declares, before flying to her side like the rest of Paul and Ash’s Pokémon have.

“Aww, man … “ Ash bows down in defeat, before he looks back up, determined to prove his Pokémon wrong by trying one for himself. But as his Pokémon have indicated, he finds the taste to be awful, making a gagging sound and spitting it out into the nearest trash can.

Paul grimaces at the scene, but then turns back to his starter Pokémon, the only one who hasn’t flocked to Dawn’s poffins, and holds a poffin out to him. But Torterra, too, simply shakes his head, before moving to Dawn.

He lets out a sigh. He knew this was a bad idea — he told Dawn that making poffins was not something in his range — and questions why he listened to her pathetic idea in the first place.

He hates it every time she wears that stupid, short, and very pink outfit for his and Ash’s gym battles. He doesn’t need a cheerleader, and he especially doesn’t need her carrying pompoms.

Paul catches her curled up and crying to herself the night she loses the Solaceon Contest.

Dawn lifts her head up as he approaches her, sensing his presence.

Without looking at him, she whispers, “I’ve lost in only the appeals round two contests in a row.” From the soft glow of the bonfire starting to burn out, he sees tears rolling down her cheeks. She sniffles, but makes no move to wipe away the tears.

Paul stares at her wordlessly.

She whips her head up to him. “Why are you quiet?!” she cries. “Aren’t you going to say something? Tell me how pathetic I am like you normally do!” When he offers no response again, she lowers her head. “Forget it,” she mumbles, her eyes averting his. “It’s not your business to deal with, anyway.”

“ … You’re trying too hard to make your Pokémon look good.”

Surprised, Dawn looks up at him through her tears, with furrowed eyebrows. “Huh?”

“Isn’t a coordinator supposed to help enhance how good a Pokémon already looks?” he continues. There is no stern expression on his face like she expected, but, instead, a blank face. “You don’t appear to be very confident in how good they look. That’s not fair to them.”

It takes her a moment to process his words — she’s still in shock that he’s speaking her her. With a start, she she realizes that he’s right. Her mind begins to run through her mistakes during training and the past two contests, but Paul’s low murmur breaks her out of her thoughts.

“You need to have more confidence in your Pokémon … and in yourself.” He holds out a hand to her.

Dawn’s not a bad coordinator — in fact, Paul has learned many techniques through watching her contest battles — but, even to him, it is clear that she still has a lot to learn.

She quickly brushes away her tears with a hand before nodding. With a newfound confidence, she takes his hand and allows him to help her up.

Since that day, he has pushed her to do better, in his own silent but supportive way.

A few days later, when she battles Maylene, the gym leader he deemed pathetic after crushing her in battle, Paul intently watches them display their strength on the sidelines with Reggie and Ash.

He gains a newfound respect for both Maylene and Dawn after that.

The corners of his lips twitch, threatening to turn upward.

He used to be completely uninterested by contests, and in fact, refused to come and see Ash and Dawn in the Jubilife City contest, until Dawn forced him to watch her participate in the Floaroma Contest. Impressed by how she handled her Pachirisu’s stage fright, he decided to continue attending her contests with Ash. Since then, he has learned many techniques from her — including counter-shield and evasion.

Next to him, Zoey — Dawn’s rival and friend, one he finds to be a nosy pest — and Ash cheer.

She did it. She won the Wallace Cup.

An unfamiliar feeling of pride bubbles up in his chest, and now he’s actually giving off a small smile, unable to suppress it any longer.

Paul holds some disdain for Ash and his training techniques, but has learned to tolerate him. Sure, they have their disagreements, but Dawn (who Paul gets along with the most), manages to mediate and helps them to understand that they are two different persons … not to mention that they happen to battle it out a lot as a way to see who is the stronger trainer. It is obvious to anyone that sees them fight on the battlefield that Ash and Paul clash in an equal battle of strength and power, each with their own radically different ideals.

Surprisingly though, it is with Dawn who Paul fights the most.

Whereas he mostly fights with Ash over major things that differentiate them as trainers, he and Dawn usually fight over little things when they travel — she’s loud and troublesome with no sense of direction (and a Togekiss who has his Honchkrow smitten), and he’s a grouch who is always in a rush to get to where he needs to be (and hates it when she spoils his Pokémon with her poffins).

There are times, though, where they have more serious fights, where Dawn will yell and maybe cry as well, and Paul will disappear for the remainder of the day (though he tends to do that when he gets into a more serious disagreement with Ash, too).

During the times he wanders off on his own, Paul wonders why he listened to Reggie and Professor Rowan’s idea in the first place and decided to travel with Ash and Dawn, but the thought of separating from them — and to his surprise, especially Dawn — unsettles him.

In the beginning, he clearly remembers trying to keep to his own, promising himself that after the first gym, he would part ways with them. Dawn and Ash were too rambunctious and distracting to travel with, anyway. There were always needless stops along the way and irritations like Team Rocket popping up were all a waste of Paul’s time.

And he nearly did leave after beating the Oreburgh Gym, but curiosity killed the Delcatty, since he decided to watch Ash’s first and second matches against Roark — though the second time was to examine the strength of Roark’s newly-evolved Rampardos. He planned to depart the day after Ash’s victory, but Dawn struggled to catch a Pachirisu, and then, that hunter, J, swiped his Elekid and Ash’s Pikachu, and then, they ran into a Coordinator with a very powerful Magikarp that all three of them were unable to defeat in battle …

Somewhere in between all of the events that grounded him to the group and made him stay, the lines he had so carefully drawn blurred, and he got used to having them by his side.

And that’s what brings him back to Ash and Dawn at the end of the day, and quietly resolve his disagreements with them.

The opened refrigerator greets her with a burst of cool air. Ignoring the shiver that runs down her arms, she immediately reaches for the orange juice.

“Huh? Orange juice? Who drinks that?”

With her hands on her hips, Dawn rolls her eyes at Ash. “Paul, of course!” she immediately answers. And then, her cheeks flame, realizing how attentive she has become to Paul’s likes and dislikes.

Isn’t that normal, though? she questions internally, seeing her reddened cheeks in the reflection of the refrigerator door. She’s been traveling with Paul and Ash for quite a few months now. Surely, it’s normal to know their favorite juice by now. But when she tries to think of what Ash’s favorite juice is, her mind draws a blank.

Why is it that she has subconsciously been focused on Paul more than Ash?

Averting her eyes from her reflection, she makes a mental note to learn what Ash’s favorite juice is.

“You battled well, Paul,” she says softly to Paul. She’s never seen such burning passion in his eyes before, and, frankly, it unsettles her a bit.

He jolts, turning away from his intent gaze on the Battle Pyramid and scowls at her. “I don’t need your pity. I lost today, but I will win against him next time.”

The pain she sees clouding in his stormy grey eyes also worries her.

(She will find out the estranged, paternal relationship Brandon has with Paul is what lies beneath that pain — but only two years later in Kanto, a few nights before Paul’s final battle against the man.)

“I’m going to challenge Paul to a battle now. If I manage to win…”

“Then, what?”

“Then, Dawn, I want you and I to go on a journey together.”

“Journey?” She’s thoroughly surprised at this.

“I know this is out of nowhere, but I had to tell you how I feel!”

Paul, leaning against a nearby tree, watches as Kenny runs away and Dawn calls out after him.

He’s never liked Kenny.

During Flint and Jasmine’s battle, he, Dawn, and Ash were discussing Flint’s defensive style, when Paul noticed Kenny looking over Dawn — in his eyes, Paul easily identified envy.

And then those envy-filled eyes met Paul’s.

Paul will admit it to himself that afterwards, he leaned over to engage Dawn in further conversation regarding Jasmine’s Steelix, just to spite Kenny.

With the glare Kenny shot him in that moment, Paul got the feeling that Kenny’s never liked him either.

“When does Buneary’s Poké Chic campaign finish?” Paul asks Dawn quietly, as they watch the ship depart the port in the sunset. They have just bid Ash farewell, as he has gone back home to Kanto.

“Huh?” She turns to look at him, confusion crossing her face. “Um, in two weeks. Why do you ask?”

“I’m going to Hoenn in a few weeks. Come with me.”

Smash Characters and people who main them

So, I was thinking about who mains certain Smash characters. Aaaand I got these ideas.

Mario: Probably Mickey Mouse. Or Emmet from the Lego Movie franchise idk

DK: Surely not King Kong because he has big hands and would break a Joy-Con just by touching it, not even a GameCube controller is safe. 100% Winston from Overwatch is the candidate, even better if he takes the blue DK skin lol

Link: Sora. This one is easy as hell.

Samus: Tony Stark is the first option that comes to mind.

Dark Samus: And since Rhodes can’t use Samus, might as well use the OTHER Samus lol

Yoshi: It is canonically stated in Deltarune that Asriel Dreemurr mains him and loves him to death.

Fox: I’m not sure how a red pirate fox animatronic holds a Joy-Con or two but probably Foxy from FNAF is the perfect main here.

Pikachu: It’s either Agumon or Jibanyan, too easy. Also put Jibanyan in Smash Sakurai pls

Luigi: Probably Donald Duck to parallel Mickey, the only difference between the two would be that Donald has a short temper while Luigi is a cowardly lion (and the plumber-sailor thing)

Ness: *MEGALOVANIA AND GAME THEORY INTRO INTENSIFIES* Ok jokes aside I think John Egbert and/or Sans are good candidates as Smash main.

Captain Falcon: Raphael, the red turtle from the Teena- wait why am I explaining an obvious character. His bros collectively main another character.

Jigglypuff: D.Va, full stop. She is a bunny person but may also love a Jigglypuff (now I want a drawing of Hana hugging the Puff help me)

Peach: Sooo, let’s see...Mickey has Mario... Donald has Luigi... I think you know where I’m going with this one.

Daisy: OH GOD I JUST REALIZED THAT DAISY DUCK MAINS PRINCESS DAISY, IT’S A “HI I’M-DAISY-CEPTION!”

Bowser: Is there any drawing of Bowser cosplaying as Peg-Leg Pete and viceversa? I’d die for that, it would be hella funny, especially with Mario and Mick dying from laughter in the distance.

Ice Climbers: Hmmm...twins...you can use them to make icy puns...I KNOW! IT’S GEORGE AND FRED

Sheik: Literally any of the ninjas from Lego Ninjago, bonus points for Lloyd.

Pichu: Shogunyan makes the most sense to me. I don’t know a lot about any other Digimon so I’m sorry if I don’t have Digimon ideas for Pichu.

Falco: I don’t know why but the thought of Chica maining Falco makes me laugh. Not that I ship Fox and Falco, of course, but seeing my FNAF OTP using two best pals looks funny enough to me

Any Fire Emblem character that is not Robin or Corrin: I literally have no damn idea.

Young Link: The first one that came to mind was Kenny from South Park and I don’t know, don’t even ask me

Ganondorf: I can just see Gamora giving Thanos a copy of Smash for the Switch and him curbstomping people as Ganondorf

Mewtwo: I still think that Beerus is an AU version of Mewtwo. If Beerus wasn’t a lazy dickhead maybe he would have been similar to Mewtwo.

Mr. Game & Watch: Bendy. Just, Bendy. And not even moster Bendy, just, regular Bendy.

Meta Knight: I wonder how much does Bruce Wayne play Smash when he is not being Batman. Although it’s probably possible that his favourite is Brawl.

Pit: I can just see Tony Stark losing at Smash against Pit and saying: “Fuck you, Barton.” AHAHAHAHAH

Hhhh bunni legs pain accomplishment day

I HAVE FINISHED THE SHOPPING OF HELL

Tfw u only get paid 4 days before christmas and have to rush everything aaaa

It was bad enough today so i'm so glad i got it done before it got even more busy!

Misc boring essentials i bought for myself: new phone charger cos broken, new trousers cos i spilt hair bleach on my only two pairs, new shoes cos my left shoe literally snapped in half down the middle like wtf even happened there, cheap pink hair dye from a discount store cos i wanna try different colours but in a thrifty way

Now for EXCITING CHRISTMAS PRESENT TIME!!!!

First off SO MANY pc and xbox 360 games from Every Charity Shop In Cardiff, St Mellons, Rumney and Llanrumney. My sis has been trying to find some games to play but was like 'dont worry about it i can just wait til the charity shop gets something good'. So i thought i'd get some stocking stuffers via all the charity shops on my side of town. By our powers combined we will blitz the entire vale of glamorgan's discount gaming scene!!! I found SO MANY good stuff for £1/£2/£3 like holy shit i love when charity shops dont know the proper price for shit XD

speaking of which i also found a WEBCAM for £2! If its that cheap it probanly isnt great but itd still be fun to play around with! :D and the same store also had an old vintage G1 My Little Pony coffee mug in excellent condition. Oh god the nostalgia! My support worker gave me a lift to llanrumney so i had to awkwardly explain why i had an armful of weird 80s mugs and big teary eyes!

Speaking of vintage, i found this new vintage toys and games shop in cardiff called Galactic Attic! The name hooked me in and then they actually DID have pokemon inside! As well as all sorts of stuff ranging from 40s to 90s, wow! There was even a lil pile of old 90s gaming magazines in the corner, covered up by a bunch of boxes. I'm glad i noticed them! I got the announcemt issues for pokemon diamond pearl and platinum in a weird old pokemon fan magazine that i loved as a kid. Im kinda sad that nowadays we just have one official magazine fpr each console and not the wild madness of amateaur journalists failing horribly to get news from japan. Shame they didnt have Beckett Pokemon cos that one was infamous fot drawing its own terrible interpretations of pokemon sprites to avoid copyright. And speaking of terrible, they even had bootleg pokemon!! I talked to the cashier and he was like "you know those are fake right" and i was like "yeah its so nostalgic thats why i want em" and he was like "lol yeah they actually sell pretty well so i'm not mad my supplier ripped me off". It was a pretty good and awesomely terrible fake at the same time? There was this exact replica of some japanese display stand for the product and then the actual pokeball toys looked perfect BUT the mini pokemon inside were.. Really not. I am so damn happy with the surprise inside my one, surprise inside has never been more accurate! I can't take a picture now cos my phone is charging but REGICHEETO. Just..just imagine that, and whatever you're imagining it is probably worse. I love it so fuckin much. Also less hilariously there were some bootleg mini pika plushies with actually (as far as i can tell) their own unique design? They have cute lil winter scarves and an art style that reminds me of the Magical Pokemon Adventure manga. A really cute and good bootleg that i would have loved to see as a real product! The only way you can even tell its a bootleg is because there's no marking on the tail. I dunno, maybe if i still have some brown fabric in the cupboard i could fix it? Or maybe its unique tail makes it even more special! I mean there's Cosplay Pikachu with its double tail marking so maybe this is her cousin Accessory Pikachu with no markings? He just likes wearing scarfs and hats and stuff. OMG HE'S THE POKEMON GO EVENT PIKACHU!!!!!!

Along the miscness of finding a few things for myself, i also found: cute lil pokemon pencilcase, kingdom hearts blind bag, cheap copy of Fruits Basket volume 1 cos the new remake is coming out soon and i wanna Get Hype! The KH blind bag was really weird cos i didnt know they now have an entirely different set as well as the keychains i bought before. Its kind of a shame the art style doesnt match cos vexen is only in the keychains, alas! But i do really love these ones! Theyre apparantly made by funko pop but dont have the art style AT ALL, they just look like really accurate versions of the characters in mini form. Its kinda like the 'distance animation' style in steven universe? (Incidentally they also do SU ones but they missed the opportunitu to actually use the distance style, lol) I got a Sora in his kh2 outfit and i'm decently happy with that, its not one i really wanted but its not a bad one either. But i think now i've tried the fun of surprise once i'll just buy the actual ones i want off ebay later. They have roxas in his organization outfit! With a happy smile!!!

Oh oh and then EVEN MORE XBOX GAMES OF THE WILD THRIFT STORE VOID! i managed to find the whole fable series, two assassins creeds, saints row, gta, some misc shooter games and racers that she wanted but i dont know much about, mass effect 2 and ff13. I think maybe one or two others cos i cant fully remember right now. Theyre all in separate bags strewn across the room and my shoulders feel like death so i'll sort through them later.

Aaaand i wrote up like 14 paragraphs more but tumblr didnt save my draft fpr some fuckin reason and now im way too tired to do it again

Briefer summary:

* had a huge horrible panic attack getting stuck in a skyscraper shopping centre clothes place full of screaming and every perfume smell and WHY DO I HAVE TO NAVIGATE THIS HELL MAZE TO FIND THE ESCALATOR and seriously i was my most primal animalistic self and i went full fight or flight on this bitch

* had a lovely time visiting Cool Shop Grandma and rambled the story of how i met her and how we became friends but hhh too tired to rewrite. But anyway today i gave her a christmas pikachu plush as thanks for everything and cos her shop is moving on to its next location soon. She got really teary and gave me a big hug! She's gonna be at a comic con in march so i hope i'm able to go to that and see her again.

* went on a wild goose chase looking for harry potter merchandise and eventually found a gold plated replica of the movie prop version of the time turner and HELL YES my sis will love it!

* rambled about several market stalls that were cool but i can make a separate post about that in the morning when i find their contact details to advertise them

* got a plushie delibird and decided to take selfies with it everywhere to try and fight my social anxiety somehow. We went to a neat lil restaurant and had cheesy fries and a coke float!

* asked for a refund on an item for the first time ever and im proud of myself

* went off on a mystery bus trip to buy a preowned 3ds and pokemon games from a lady in an online preowned stuff facebook group and it didnt go horribly and i am glad! She was really nice and i witnessed A Good And Smart Parenting Moment and man it healed my heart and i wish i'd been raised that way. Again i'll probably ramble about the details later when im less tired, it really touched my heart seriously! And now i have MANY GIFTS FOR SIS!

* in total i was out present shopping from 9am to 8pm and i clicked my shoulder out of its socket for a split second from.all the heavy bags. Now im in a lot of aches and i need a sleeps

Hello. Generally, I go by Wolfman, or Wolfman Jew on the internet. Back in 2014, I started this Tumblr by discussing ideas for possible music that could be used in what was, at the time, the next Super Smash Bros. That led to a sizable project the next year where I looked at possible DLC characters in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS & Wii U, a project which then led to my joining the Nintendo themed news and criticism site Source Gaming while abandoning my blog here. Trainer Tuesday: Pokémon Go in Orlando

Contrary to what the internet says, people still play Pokémon Go. It may not have the popularity it once did, but I see people playing all the time in the parks. I play all the time. I have only messed up getting my seven day streak twice in my entire time playing. That means I have only ever gone two days without catching a Pokémon or getting a Pokéstop. Yes, I have a problem. Tell me something I don’t already know. Duffy has a Pokéball hoodie and I have Pikachu and Eevee from Build-a-Bear.

Gringotts is a gym. Take that Voldemort.

Orlando is one of the best places to play Pokémon Go. The theme parks are practically infested with the digital creatures. Cinderella Castle is a gym and there’s at least four Pokéstops on the Jungle Cruise alone. I remember a friend of mine posting on Facebook about catching a Charmander in the Gryffindor Common Room, just like in his fanfiction. Busch Gardens had an event last summer where every Pokéstop in the park had a lure on it until a certain time every day and you could get discounts based on what team you were on. It was a common game for Cast Members at the hub who were people watching to play: “Lost or playing Pokémon Go?”

Even though the hype has died down and there are less events there are still plenty of Pokémon to catch and trainers to battle in gyms.

Trainer Tuesdays is going to be a series about where to catch ’em all in Orlando, and tips and tools of the trade. There are days when knowing how to recharge your phone makes all the difference in the world. There are some rides that move slowly enough to count as walking to help you hatch eggs and earn candy, and there are some that you’re going to lose all service anyway so no need to waste your battery and data.

Now before you write this off because you think Pokémon Go is stupid, let me tell you about the time my mother saved $110 by playing Pokémon Go.

Last August I decided to spend my birthday in Tennessee for a variety of reasons, but the primary one was that we were trying to save money to take my grandmother to Disney for her 80th birthday, which happens to be about a week after mine. It was going to be a fairly short trip and a frugal one, so I decided I was just going to go to all my favorite places at home and play Pokémon. At least it would be cheap. My main concern was I did not want to be playing alone, so I got my iPad out and started my Mom her own account so I could get her to level five so she could help me with gyms. (Remember way back when and you were just starting out, and you had to be level five to choose a team?) I made her Team Valor naturally.

I had her keep playing on the iPad because I thought it would be easier for her on a bigger screen, and I remember the first night in Knoxville walking around downtown and trying to teach her how to play. I had Duffy with me in his Pokéball hoodie, I forget that a twenty-something carrying a stuffed animal draws a lot more funny looks when you aren’t at Disney.

A wild Pidgey appears!

The Knoxville Zoo, or Zoo Knoxville as they’ve rebranded but I think is a silly name, was hosting a Pokémon event that Saturday with $10 admission, lures, giveaways and the chance to meet Pikachu. I had wanted to spend my birthday at the zoo, but this seemed like a better plan. My friend Adam wanted to hang out that day so he picked me up for lunch then we met Mom at the zoo. Mom had decided buying an annual pass would be the better option even over the $10 tickets so we went to the window, and it turned out Adam had forgotten to buy his online so it was full price. (A zoo annual pass gets you in free or half off to other zoos around the country, plus admission to special events.) We paid the extra five dollars for me to have my own second pass with my name on it, and I figured out it was $25 to add a guest and $20 for a ticket, so Adam handed my Mom $20 and we put an extra guest on the pass.

A little after three, we had most of the animals covered, but the giveaway were not until five. They had three boxes set up in the center of the zoo at the educational area, one for each team. You put your username on a slip and put in the box, and the gym standings at the end of the day would determine the prizes. Adam asked us, “Do you really want to stay for the giveaway? I think they’re just zoo tickets.” “Yes, we like winning things!”

We went on a quest to catch a Pikachu that popped on radar. We went round and round in circles before concluding it was in the middle of an exhibit we could not reach, at least not without being eaten, before I dragged them to meet Pikachu. He certainly was not up to Disney standards but I was not going to pass up the opportunity.

We wandered around the zoo looking at animals we had already seen and just catching anything we could. Generally when playing Pokémon Go in my experience you just sort of blurt out whatever critter appears, so Adam said, “Ooh, Bellsprout!” My mother, in what may be one of the cutest things she has ever done, responds, “S-P-R-O-U-T. Do you not know how to spell sprout?” Adam and I spent the next minute and a half laughing too hard to explain. Admittedly, my Mom has known Adam as long as I have and I used to proof his English papers for him and he was bad at spelling…

At five we joined the crowd of people waiting for the giveaway. Each team held one of the zoo’s three gyms so the prizes were going to be determined by gym levels. Instinct had a level two gym so that put them in third place to win two zoo tickets and Mystic’s level three put them in the running for a family four pack of tickets. Valor and their level five gym was in the running for a family annual pass good for two adults and two children. The first name they called was not there, and you had to be present to win. The next name was “ilovethemouse” and Mom goes, “That’s me!” She had to show them her screen to prove it was her, but it died right as she got up there. Thankfully they took her word for it. They handed us a reusable bag with a stuffed otter and the paperwork to redeem the pass. We had just bought an annual pass and won an annual pass, all in the same day. So we headed back to the front gate where, thankfully, the same girl was still at the annual pass booth.

“So I think I’ve got a question for you that’s probably never happened before. I don’t know if you remember us, but we were here earlier and bought an annual pass. Well, we just won one from the Pokémon events. Any chance we can get our money back?”

“You’re right. I’ve never gotten this one before. Let me go ask my manager.”

To my shock, we got a full refund and got to keep our extra guest and two printed passes. So my Mom literally saved $110 because I taught her to play Pokémon Go, and she still plays whenever we’re together.
